The Winter Olympics

The Winter Olympics take place in Beijing, China from February 4 to 20, 2022.

You will find a total of 15 disciplines bringing together 7 winter sports such as:

  • Biathlon.

  • Ice hockey.

  • Alpine ski.

  • Figuren skating.

  • Curling.

  • Cross-country skiing.

  • freestyle skiing.

What were the first Winter Olympics?

Pierre de Coubertin has launched the "Modern Olympics" every four years since 1896.

In 1924 he launched the first Winter Olympics in Chamonix, on the occasion of the VIII Olympiad in Paris 1924.

Athletes expected: The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics officially started on Saturday, 5th February. 87 French athletes compete in these winter games.

Especially Alexis Pinturault, Tess Ledeux, Johan Clarey, Anaïs Chevalier-Boucher, Émilien Jacquelin, Quentin Fillon Maillet and Julia Simon.
