History

Le Plongeoir

At the end of the 19th century and throughout the Belle Époque, a fishing boat nicknamed 'The Inflexible' was planted on this rock more than 6 meters above the water. Connected to the mainland by a footbridge. This place quickly became one of the most popular bar-restaurants on the Riviera. In 1941, The Inflexible suffered damage and had to be destroyed. Later René Livieri, an architect built a diving board on 3 levels but it soon ran into disrepair and was destroyed.
