What a magic place! We have loved every minute here. Pete is the most incredible host and we loved our evening chats. The kayaking has been the highlight, we loved Sarlat - Had a great lunch at Lou Podel and not forgetting the disco pool lights after dark. The kids loved it! We'll be back.

Fab house! What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a godsend as the weather was tres chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. What a wonderful holiday we have had! Le Domaine de Servian

Perfect for a relaxing holiday. First impressions were better than the photographs. We wanted a relaxing family holiday after a very hectic year and that is what we experienced. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful but left you completely alone unless you needed something. The villa itself is spotless, beautifully laid out and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Outside is incredibly peaceful and we spend the majority of our time by the pool.. Yet although it feels beautifully isolated it is in fact only minutes from shops and lotes of things to see and dol Will definitely return if we are able.

Quel beau séjour nous avons passé ! Nos vacances de deux semaines au Petit Pigeonnier n'auraient pas pu être mieux. Comme d'autres l'ont dit, l'emplacement est un mélange parfait de calme rural et de paix, tout en étant assez proche d'une excellente boulangerie et d'un magasin pratique. Si vous avez la chance d'y passer vos vacances, ne manquez pas les merveilleux restaurants à proximité. Debbie est l'hôte la plus incroyable, toujours là quand vous avez besoin d'elle et très discrète. Ses suggestions réfléchies et bien informées ont grandement amélioré notre agréable expérience.

Colombat Cottage

The house is a magical island setting in the countryside, with a wonderful rural and secluded ambiance. The size and comfort are simply perfect. I loved the morning runs in nature and the breakfasts on the terrace. Carelle and her husband are warm and supportive owners. The three dogs present themselves from time to time as friendly travelers. A great experience.

Wow, what a huge privilege to be the first entry into what we know will become a book full of compliments, acclaim and thanks to a very special couple who are creating a very special place. The house and gardens are an amazing reflection of the style and care and attention to detail that Russell and Karen are putting into what we know will become one of Languedoc's gems. Their un-intrusive but 'nothing is too much trouble' nature brings a relaxed and caring environment. The Loft is a lovely haven to relax in and contemplate the beautiful world around you. Un grand merci à Thomas pour son accueil et son accompagnement tout au long de notre séjour. La villa est superbe et très bien aménagée: la cuisine est idéale pour un groupe. Les chambres sont décorées avec goût et offrent des prestations d'un bel hôtel. Les vacances sont passées trop vite !

Château du Monastere

Stunning château in rural France. In August this year we made our 3rd visit to Château Velouse with a group of friends and once again had a wonderful time. The first time we flew to Paris and hired a car but found it more economical to take a ferry - crossing to Dieppe last year and Calais in August. Easy drive on all occasions. Location is in a beautiful rural area steeped in history and close to the Loire with its majestic châteaux and extensive forests. Medieval Bourge, only a few miles away, is very well worth several visits – the acoustics in the cathedral are amazing. The surrounding area is reasonably flat and so an ideal centre for cycling on very quiet roads and off road tracks. The communal areas and bedrooms in the château are impressive and very classy. The pool area is an ideal centre for complete relaxation. Pool is clean and well maintained. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly - very attentive to our needs and not obtrusive. Well worth a visit.

L'Oliveraie

We, two couples, stayed the last week of June and the first week of July in L'Oliveraie. We found modern comfort in an authentic environment in the well-equipped holiday homes Maison Carrée and Joie de Vivre. You can rightly say that you enjoy life here. Privacy, beauty, friendliness, a lovely swimming pool, the beautifully maintained gardens... it all comes to you here. And what we also appreciated very much: we arrived in a house where the basic necessities were present (such as coffee, tea, herbs and olive oil) and a nice bottle of wine and delicious (home-made!) cake were ready for us, which made us feel really welcome. Moreover, the area is also very attractive. From the tranquility of the domaine you drive to the liveliness and versatility of Avignon and Villeneuve and for example to Orange. The markets are very charming in the smaller towns nearby and there is also no shortage of nice restaurants. We really had a wonderful time, certainly also because of the friendliness of the owners.

Once again there are no words that can really explain what a wonderful time we have had and how fantastic the Loft and the grounds are. Your hospitality is more than we could have asked for. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay here permanently as it’s difficult to leave the place! Until the next time ( and yes, there will be a next time ), au revoir - not goodbye.

La Charmante Distillerie

Idyllique et détente absolue C'était notre premier séjour en Charente et nous avons adoré La Distillerie. Dès notre arrivée, nous nous sommes sentis détendus. La piscine et les terrasses offraient une vue imprenable et un calme absolu. L'intérieur était joliment meublé et nous avons apprécié le clin d'œil à l'ancienne distillerie et à son histoire. De nombreuses activités étaient proposées en famille et nous avons adoré observer les étoiles grâce au télescope mis à disposition. Mark a impeccablement entretenu le terrain et la piscine. Nous avons apprécié l'accès au jardin d'herbes aromatiques et aux arbres fruitiers. Je tiens également à souligner l'excellente connexion internet, qui a permis à nos adolescents de se détendre dans le coin détente de la mezzanine, tandis que les plus jeunes ont adoré jouer dans le bac à sable et sur le portique. Je recommande vivement cet endroit !

Le Manoir Richemont

Le logement est magnifique au calme (quelque part nulle part). Une très belle propriété avec de vieux arbres et de délicieux arbres fruitiers. La piscine est grande et avec de l'eau salée au lieu du chlore. L'intérieur de celle-ci est décorée avec goût. Stan est un hôte sympathique et simple. Pour ceux qui veulent être calmes, spacieux et détendus sont à la bonne adresse.

Saint-Sulpice

Fabulous accommodation in a very beautiful setting. Enjoyed living in the wonderful restored Saint-Sulpice. The pool house is exceptional and was well used. Lots of things to do and see. The children enjoyed the velo-rail. Caves at Villars also wonderful as well as the 'beau villages' Simon and Nicholas have been wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

Le Bas Metraud

Large family holiday, ages varying from 2-60. Beautiful house, great outdoor area with outside pergola and table plenty big enough to sit all 13 of us which was great. As in description location is very rural so definitely need cars - supermarket is 10 mins drive away. Estelle was very helpful leading up to our holiday, and during our stay. Answering all our questions and popped by to make sure we were happy with everything. Local area very pretty, but we stayed in August and everywhere was deserted! Apparently lots of places in France shut down in August. Very well equipped house for great holiday.

Merci beaucoup de nous avoir reçus. Nous avons passé une semaine des plus extraordinaires en séjournant ici. Je n'aurais jamais pu imaginer une telle escapade. Nous nous sentons tellement chanceux d'avoir eu cette chance d'explorer les magnifiques endroits autour de la maison et de séjourner dans cette maison.

The Garden Cottage

Nous avons passé un séjour fabuleux au Garden Cottage. Le cottage nous convenait parfaitement. Il avait tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Magnifiquement décoré, aménagé et meublé. La piscine était à tomber (je n'en sortais presque jamais). Merci à Stephen pour l'avoir entretenue avec tant de soin, ainsi que le jardin. Le cottage est idéalement situé, hors des sentiers battus et très calme, tout en étant suffisamment proche de Thonac pour aller boire un verre ou manger au village. Montignac, une ville animée regorgeant de cafés, de bars et de boutiques, n'est qu'à dix minutes en voiture. De belles excursions sont possibles dans les villages voisins, qui se vantent tous d'être parmi les plus beaux de France. Et ils le sont tous ! Le petit plus : être à Thonac pour la finale de la Coupe du monde. Rob est allé au village et a rejoint les habitants qui regardaient la finale sur grand écran.
