A beautiful house in a beautiful location, everything for an extended family of all ages.
We have just returned from Domaine de Nérige what a fabulous house and the owners made everything perfect during our stay. All our needs were met and more, they just wanted to ensure we were happy and enjoyed our stay, they arranged catering, shopping, where to eat, what to do in the surrounding areas etc. On our last evening she arranged a tapas night for 18 of our friends at Domaine de Nérige as it was my husbands 60th birthday celebrations we had a ball and fabulous memories were made. Domaine de Nérige is a special place to stay everything was stress free from the moment we arrived to the time we sadly had to say goodbye, a huge big thank you to the owners and housekeepers. We so enjoyed our time in France you are all so special too.
What an amazing experience, in a truly beautiful part of France (and new to us all). The house is lovely as well as the 360° views - magical! The kids loved the pool and we managed to get them out for food, sleep and car!
A house where you feel absolutely at home! Fully and tastefully furnished in a beautiful environment. Visited many places, recommendations are: the caves of Limousis , city of Carcassonne and the suspension bridge in Mazamet . The weekly market in Olonzac , wonderful! Then in the evening on the beautiful terrace enjoying the view of the Pyrenees with snow on the peaks and the children in the pool. Highly recommended, we will definitely go back ! We are jealous of your house!

We liked it so much last year we came back to enjoy being at this most beautiful place – a little piece of paradise. It’s been very hot but the house is cool (and so comfortable) and the pool and the dining terrace make it perfect. Thanks to Mark and Janet for making it so lovely. We’ll be sad to leave.
The house was great - please thank the owners for putting together such a lovely experience. As you know, we all had a very good time, and there were no real quibbles from our perspective. It’s a wonderful place to spend a couple of weeks
We have had a wonderful couple of weeks in Sarlat. Sarlat and the surrounding area has so much to offer. We enjoyed the local markets, a trip to Chateau Der Milandes and of course canoeing down the Dordogne river. The location of the house is amazing, just a few minutes walk into the centre. With the first week of our stay the temperature were in the high 30s and the pool was an absolute godsend-a real highlight for us, we spent many hours just relaxing and enjoying the weather.. The house itself was great and met all of our needs for a two week holiday. Thank you Jackie for all your help answering all my messages. Will be back soon.
This was a great house for a family break... perfect for the adults and small children in our party. We loved the peaceful location with local wildlife... great views and birdwatching! House comfortable and very well equipped kitchen for the enthusiastic cooks! Plenty nice outside sitting areas... and a fabulous pool. We did not explore much of the local area but would very much recommend Monpazier which was charming.
Absolutely stunning, luxury converted distillery in the countryside of Challignac. Extremely high end furnishings and appliances. Beautiful interior design, all air conditioned and with an amazing outdoor heated pool with spacious patio, cushioned loungers, sofas and outside dining together with BBQ, Boules court and children’s play area all surrounded by beautiful gardens, and stunning tranquil countryside. It was beautiful to sit out with a morning coffee, watching deer walk through the field at the front. The beds were the most comfortable we’d ever slept in, the showers were fantastic, everything is top notch. Gary and Mark made our week extra special with fabulous recommendations of places to visit and excellent restaurants all nearby. They responded instantly to any request we had, but were totally respectful of our privacy unless we contacted them. We cannot recommend staying here enough and are booking for next year.

I'm going to preface this review by saying our extended family have hired a number of châteaux over the years, so we have something to make comparisons with! Without doubt this château offered the best value for money we have ever enjoyed. Our party of 18 used all the 10 bedrooms on offer, without anyone having to compromise on bedroom space. The kitchen was large enough to cater for the entire party with plenty of worktop space and a large island unit. Refreshingly there are plenty of cooking utensils and professional sized pans etc. There are three fridges, we used the large stand alone fridge for food,= and the two under counter fridges for 'adults' and kids drinks. The lounge diner is huge and comfortable, with good quality games available, including chess and backgammon. The pool is among the largest we've ever enjoyed with a deep end you can actually dive into. At points we had a dozen people in the pool and still had room to swim around. There are two main terraces, both easily able to accommodate at least 20 people. Smaller seating areas are dotted around the grounds so if inclined you can take yourself off for a bit of peace and quiet. There is a new and very good quality BBQ on the rear terrace with a moving charcoal tray which means you can raise the heat source as charcoal burns away. We were able to BBQ for 18 on half a bag of lump wood. Our party had 5 cars, the driveway was large enough for them to be parked so that everyone could drive out of the château without the need to move another vehicle. Saving the best to last, the sports hall/games room is magnificent. With a full sized badminton court, a basket ball hoop, 2 table tennis tables, table football, a darts board,= and a full sized pool table our whole party had plenty of activities to choose from. This facility was constantly used for weeklong knockout completions including our own decathlon type event. Modesty prevents me revealing who the best pool player was. From our perspective, this vast array of facilities and activities provided the perfect ingredients for our first ever holiday where children needed no entertaining at all. Finally a place they can truly entertain themselves.
An absolute treasure of a place to stay with attentive hosts making sure our trip was comfortable and stress free. It's a home from home with the added delight of the sun, relaxing pool and sitting out of an evening with friends and wine. I can't wait to go back again and enjoy the nearby markets and small community which surrounds the château. Thank you Phil and Claire. Spacious rooms, historic building and thoughtful amenities.
We are a family from 3 to 78 and thoroughly enjoyed staying at Château Périgord this week. We were fascinated by how beautifully it's renovated and decorated. All couples within our family had a nice room to stay in and the beds were good. The flowering garden, with fragrant lavender and refreshing swimming pool were a real joy. The kids played jeux de boules on the gravel, football on the perfectly trimmed lawn and spent many hours in the pool. We preferred cooking our own meals in the large Médiéval style kitchen (as we all like cooking) and had dinner at a long table at the courtyard. Château Périgord has so many places to sit and to enjoy the atmosphere and beautiful features and games to play that there was no need to do many trips elsewhere. We cycled in the area and did some jogging up the hills followed by cooling down in the pool. Thank you for a fantastic and relaxing stay!
The villa is extraordinary! We stayed in this beautiful house with a pool with my family. Everything was perfect: the house is spacious, bright, impeccably clean, and well equipped. The pool is a true haven of peace, ideal for relaxing in the sun. The hosts were very warm and responsive, making our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this house!

Such a beautiful and luxurious home. a perfect layout, wonderful pol and relaxation area. We spent 10 days playing golf, as such it was perfect. The holiday home had eveything we needed and more and particularly liked the artwork. Thank you once again.

What a magic place! We have loved every minute here. Pete is the most incredible host and we loved our evening chats. The kayaking has been the highlight, we loved Sarlat - Had a great lunch at Lou Podel and not forgetting the disco pool lights after dark. The kids loved it! We'll be back.

We all had an amazing time here this week, this house is gorgeous with an amazing pool, fantastic views. We had amazing times at Les Chapoux taking in the beautiful buildings and all the nice restaurants. The hosts were welcoming and gave us a lovely tour of the house. My family and I had a wonderful stay In Sabatel Farmhouse. The hamlet is very peaceful and set back into the landscape. The house has the most beautiful garden, with a great sized pool and lounging area. We enjoyed cooking in the very well equipped kitchen and ate on the lovely sunny terrace overlooking the garden. There is a big blind to help when it gets really warm and sunny. The local markets and villages are a great way to spend the day exploring. We had the most amazing time. Can't wait to visit again!
We have had a really lovely week at La Maison Cabanon. It was great to feel home from home here. All the children relaxed straight away. We had a couple of cloudy days so went to Baux de Provence. Saint Remy de Provence market (Wednesday mornings) and explored L 'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue - all nice things to do. But we mainly enjoyed the fab pool! Beautiful surroundings, lovely atmosphere. The pool is really heated! Many pools in the south of France 'suggest' they are heated. However, Les Fumerates' pool - which is huge - actually is heated! In fact when we arrived the pools temp was 29C (86F)! After unpacking we took an early evening swim followed by an early morning swim... You get the idea... Like the picture suggests the views here are amazing. We had the downstairs apartment which was perfect. Two sets of French doors lead you to the pool, there are retractable awnings to shade you while having breakfast. The master bedroom is very large with a king size bed and a queen size bed which is great for unpacking or sitting on etc. There's a second bedroom and a breakfast / TV room. The kitchen was spotless with a view over the pool. A/C worked well (very important from mid June until end of August). Also there are 2 bathrooms (very handy). All in all highly recommended.
Thank you for a fantastic week in your beautiful home. We absolutely loved exploring the Loire and a swim in the pool was a wonderful way to end each amazing day. Our children spent hours exploring the garden and relishing in the space and freedom it gave them. Many thanks.
