It has been 6 years of trying to get to stay here but eventually we did it and it was worth the wait. The owners were so kind and helpful. Providing super cheeses, wine, early morning deliveries and a lovely meal out. And all of that before even mentioning the beautiful house :) Everything was amazing except for the canicule, 42°C (phew!) but the pool saved us, it was amazing also. Many thanks for a load of super memories.

We fell in love with holidaying in France almost 30 years ago and I used to think that my heart belonged to Provence, until we stumbled across beautiful Manoir de Fouilloux, nestled in the lush green countryside of the Dordogne. Hugh and Ian, the hosts of the house are incredibly welcoming and attentive, but equally unobtrusive when you just want to relax on your own. They are very knowledgeable about the area and will give you their time all day, every day should you so desire, along with Oscar, their lovely dog, who is very happy to be fussed over or left alone to sleep in the shade out of sight. The interior of the house is breathtakingly beautiful. It is evident from the moment you step through the door, that so much thought and attention to detail has gone into every corner of the building; from the beautiful stone floors, to the light filled bedrooms with the most sumptuous bed linen (and the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on), to the fabulous showers and well equipped kitchen, every part of the house is simply brimming with everything you could ever need to make your stay as relaxing as possible. From the stunning interior, you step outside to the rear courtyard garden, which is inspired by the Yves Saint Laurent Moroccan garden and it's like nothing you could ever imagine. The vibrant blue that is unique to YSL garden has been matched exactly and is dotted around the garden with careful thought, creating a wonderfully calming area to relax in, with the magnificent tiled pond being the centrepiece of the area. Off the garden is the outdoor kitchen / seating area and again is a fantastically well thought out area, complete with it's own set of glass and tableware (so you don't have to keep going back into the kitchen to get things), outdoor gas barbecue and dishwasher, they really have thought of everything! It is truly the most tranquil place to spend time with family and friends. The pool at the front of the house is magnificent, complete with poolside lights, it is a fabulous place to enjoy in the evening too. Lying on the sun loungers soaking up the sun and looking out over the amazing garden is so restful; you'll never want to leave the house. But leave you must, as there is so much to see in the surrounding area; nearby St Aulaye has a pretty little town square where you can enjoy a relaxing drink, Saint-Jean-de-Côle, a beautiful medieval village dating back to the 11th Century, is so attractive with it's ochre coloured houses and the tranquil river Cole running through it. From Saint-Jean-de-Côle you can easily visit the caves at Villars; being a bit claustrophobic I declined to go down with the rest of the family, but they do come highly recommended! Another very pretty village is nearby Aubeterre, which has the most spectacular views, small selection of shops and restaurants dotted around a vibrant village square and at the foot of the village you can find a river beach, canoeing centre, football club and tennis club. Brantome is a charming town, often dubbed the Venice of Perigord, due to the river Dronne running through it. If you've ever read 'The Matchmaker of Perigord', you will find Brantôme mentioned in this and as you wander around the town, you can really see the characters come to life. It has a good selection of shops and restaurants so is definitely a worthy visit, even if you haven't read the book. Manoir de Fouilloux, is truly a magical place to stay, it is like coming up for fresh air. The only criticism I have of it is that once visited, you will never want to go anywhere ever again, so sorry guys, see you next year...
We had a wonderful time at Vero and Thierry. The house is beautiful and very well decorated. The outdoor facilities are excellent and have everything you need. Because the weather was so nice we spent most of our time by the pool and ate all our meals there. There is a supermarket and two bakeries 5 km away and Poitiers is easily accessible for sightseeing and restaurants. We're already talking about going back. I highly recommend staying here.
Once more, a big thank you for looking after us. The villa is as ever beautiful and the garden a quiet oasis. The weather has been wonderful with all but one day. The Ardèche is so peaceful and the people so friendly. All the best. PS: I still do not like aubergines or courgettes! See you soon!

A fairytale castle set in the stunning hillsides of Saint Mézard - just amazing! Easy to get to from Toulouse, Château Mézard was a perfect home base for exploring the surrounding quaint villages offering the finest in local Gascony food and wine. Sipping Armagnac at sunset and dining by candlelight on one of the many terraces made us feel like royalty!
Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful home! You have been the perfect hosts, we didn't want for anything. We would love to come back again x We have had an amazing week here at Maison La Pérouse. Oscar and Olive have both loved exploring the garden. Oscar has particularly enjoyed playing hide and seek in the wood, doing tricks on the trampoline and spotting fish in the pond. The pool has been fantastic and we have loved the evening sunny nights in the garden. Thank you Sue, Pat and Amber for your wonderful hospitality and recommendation. Thanks for a lovely stay.
We spent a wonderful week in the accommodation. We were able to take full advantage of the swimming pool and the outdoor space. The amenities matched the photos and everything was top quality. I recommend the villa to everyone Beach, town and tourist sites are all within a 10 minute radius. We would particularly like to thank Marie Christin for her welcome.

We had a very happy stay in your villa. We visited le jardin Saint Adrien which was beautiful but did not stay for the horses and the music. The villa really was perfect and thank you for allowing us to use it.
Spent a wonderful and relaxing 2 weeks in this villa last year and have just booked to return again this summer. The villa is modern, spacious and very well equipped and with internet and satellite it fully met the needs of our teenagers. The outdoor area with pool is beautiful, well maintained and private. The location is within walking distance of the lovely village of Fitou and a short drive to the beaches and many other attractions. Communication with the owner Julie has been prompt, easy and helpful. We would highly recommend this villa and are looking forward to our next visit!
We had a wonderful stay at Le Manoir des Sines, it is the most beautiful property in a lovely part of France.
It's a beautiful place and our friends should have a holiday here too! The best thing? Everything - your beautiful home, the pool, garden and stunning view. It was lovely to have Lacezarna here to greet us on our arrival. We were made to feel so welcome. We also appreciated Anatole's help when the lights fused. We had everything we needed. The bedrooms are so comfortable! We all slept very well. Such a beautiful weel kept place to rest and relax. We absolutely loved spending time here - so peaceful and relaxing. Excellent informative booklet. You have been so welcoming and allowed us to have a wonderful week together as a family making lovely memories. We really hope we can return some day to make more. We had a wonderful stay at Mas Saint-Martial, the pool was incredible and the owners were fantastic hosts. Probably the most relaxing yet inspiring holiday and people we have met for a long time which will have a long-lasting positive impact on us.

Amazing place! We loved it. The owners even put a mattress on the floor so we could bring our son! He was more than comfortable. The hot tub, cinema room, gardens and pool are fabulous.
Really enjoyed our week staying in your lovely home. Setting beautiful. Countryside we managed to see some lovely deer and especially enjoyed the humming birds -so tiny. We managed to explore the local markets and some towns. The children loved the pool. Many thanks for everything.
Thank you for giving us two amazing weeks at your villa. The pool is one of the best we have seen and garden is just stunning. The villa is beautifully decorated and we have all found it vey comfortable. We've have two lovely weeks exploring the surrounding area, without a single minute of television! This is the second time we had spent time at this property so we were a bit more familiar with area. I struggle to think of a better location to holiday than this area of Provence, it has everything, beautiful countryside, restaurants, vineyards and historic villages. One eats outside all the time as the evenings are warm and balmy and in this respect this property is blessed with a superb view looking across the valley to Vaison-la-Romaine and the Dentelles in the distance. There is complete privacy with the nearest neighbour being a considerable distance from the house. Inside the house is spacious and beautifully laid out contrasting with its former farmhouse origins. If you want relaxation but with loads to do in the area then I really cannot think of a better place to stay for a summer holiday.
We have been holidaying in this area from over 30 years and without doubt, this is one of the most special places we have stayed in. We plan to return next summer !

We have had a wonderfully pleasant stay at Le Malardier. The weather was very hot for a few days and much rain is needed. The views and layout of the property are very suitable for a large family group. The years of construction and design have really paid off. So, thank you for your kind hospitality.
You have transformed this building into the most wonderful house and more than that, into a welcoming and comfortable home, in which we feel privileged to have been guests. We lacked for nothing (except maybe a little more soleil and a little less vent). Everyone who came to stay with us expressed their appreciation in a similar vein. Thank you so much. We will spread the word and hope to see you again one day.
To others who get to enjoy Les Jumelles: this home was like a true little paradise for my husband and I and our two nephews. It is very well appointed with all the amenities you will need. We vacationed during mid-June and found that the house was very fresh with a lovely breeze. A lovely touch was having a freshly cut rose in each bedroom upon our arrival. We found ourselves enjoying the home and grounds so much, we tried to have all our dinners (suppers) here. Our hosts were very friendly yet non-intrusive and provided us with wonderful suggestions in terms of sites to visit while in the area. We were taking a day to go back to Paris and both owners helped provide us a sound plan as to best use our time there for our nephews who had never been. We will recommend this destination to friends and relatives for sure and even try to com back in the not too distant future. Merci. PS: The shower is great but ask for the trick to turn it on!
