Words cannot express how fantastic this place is. The sunsets, the pool, the kitchen, the coffee machine…all sublime.

A perfect stay for a family Christmas. Plenty of room for 10 people. Beautiful bedrooms and bathroom. A very family-friendly living room, a superb and functional kitchen. We were not too familiar with the region, but since we live in a highly fast-paced city, we knew we wanted a tranquil and somewhat less-touristy vacation spot surrounded by nature. Through an amazing agency, we were able to lease the cottage for two weeks in late August and had an amazing time there. The property dates back to 1750 and is fully well-renovated - every detail has been taken into consideration so one is able to enjoy the experience of staying in an authentic French country house, but with modern amenities that enhance the original character of the property, rather than detract from it. The town and the people are very charming and there are restaurants, cafés, a grocery store, shops, butcher shops, etc. and an excellent choice of patisseries and boulangeries, which my husband happily frequented every morning in order to bring back fresh breakfast goodies! There is a weekly market in the town square, just a 5-minute drive from the house selling amazing produce and other artisanal delights! The town is within a comfortable drive from beautiful sites in neighboring Beynac, Sarlat and Bergerac, not counting other small picturesque places you find on the way. And if you haven't done much research, fret not because the owners of the home have compiled quite an impressive binder of information with all of the popular attractions and must-see places in the area. I do not over-exaggerate when I say the house is extremely well-equipped as if it were our own home! When we were not out sightseeing during the morning, we were downstairs preparing food in the kitchen, which may seem small in the photos, but it is spacious and the layout is wonderful - the oven and stove are ideal for seasoned cooks, there is a full-size dishwasher and tons of pots, pans, utensils, gadgets and appliances - all in superb condition, so we wanted for nothing. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Maison Bourg Cales, which I would highly recommend to anyone in search of an idyllic, quiet getaway in the beautiful French countryside.
I loved being here for two weeks and being able to use the pool nearly everyday! I haven’t swum recently so it was a great chance to practice. I enjoyed spending time with you and my family in the sun. I hope I can see you soon.
We have had a great week here visiting our daughter Eliza who is studying French in Montpellier. Lisa et al very helpful and the home has provided us with much fun and relaxation. Also great for walking into town and going on excursions. Thank you!

From the minute we arrived we were made to feel at home with brilliant accommodation including a lovely pool and Martyn and Jean looked after us giving suggestion of places to visit. The area was brilliant with lots to see and many restaurants within a ten minute drive plus one restaurant, bakers butchers and general store all within walking distance. A special thank you to Ombre for keeping our football skills on song. I would thoroughly recommend.

The kids said the pool is amazing and really loved the salt water which didn't make there eyes sting like normal chlorinated pools. Oscar your adorable dog was also a big plus for Lara!
Villa everything and more! fantastic villa, pool and table tennis great fun! Pézenas lovely 15 - 20 minutes easy walk! Lots of great restaurants. Beach between Sète and Agde very good and not too many people.

We had a very good week of vacation with 2 families. The villa is superb, well equipped and maintained. The heated swimming pool is really a plus, the children really enjoyed it. The owners, who live nearby, are friendly and available. We will return with great pleasure if the opportunity arises. We are strongly recommend this rental.
I had the most amazing time with my friends at this gorgeous château! The grounds are absolutely breathtaking, like out of a movie. The château itself is enchanting while still being super comfortable. We had a great time checking out the local towns and markets. Just such a wonderful experience, I highly recommend it!
Our holiday at La Charmante Distillerie was absolutely superb! Mark and Gary were superb hosts and made our experience incredible from the moment we booked until the moment we left! We will definitely return for another holiday, because it was by far the best place we have ever stayed. The attention to detail was brilliant, and we were made so comfortable from start to finish. They have put so much effort into making this an incredible holiday villa and they couldn’t do enough for us. It is 5 star+ in every respect. A beautiful villa in a quiet location with so much around to explore. Thanks Mark and Gary for making our family holiday one we will remember forever, and we will return soon to enjoy it all again!

Three night weekend stay with friends. Very comfortable accommodation decorated to a high standard. Upstairs kitchen, lounge and patio looked over the pool. Brilliant. It was Bastille weekend and World Cup final. Lots going on in village square, bars and restaurants. Beach about 20 minutes drive - really nice with excellent restaurant. Shops and supermarket close by were very helpful. Visited Béziers and Narbonne about 30 minutes drive. Well worth the trip We had a great time and will definitely go back again!

We had a fantastic stay. The house is absolutely lovely, the pool and garden likewise. Sarlat is superb with its old well preserved center. We loved just walking around there and have great meals in the restaurants (there are plenty).
We are finally home and now reflecting on happy memories of our wonderful holiday in France and particularly our 10 nights spent here. Where do we begin to ever thank you for all that you did and for making our holiday so special. We felt like we had our own personal butler looking after us throughout our stay. Even prior to our arrival we welcomed the emails, the ease of booking and then promptly replying to any query that we had , as well as the phone call to offer help and support the week before we were scheduled to arrive. We really appreciated the welcome basket of goodies and all the other little things that you had thoughtfully put in the fridge, making our arrival into the gîte a very warm and welcome one. Your 'blood, sweat and tears' have truly paid off as we could see the attention to detail that has gone in to making this a luxury gîte for your guests. We noticed the quality of furnishings and fittings, bed linen, sumptuous soft towels and then separate towels laid out for us by the pool, all of which made for an exciting stay ahead! The beds were extremely comfortable and accompanied by the peace and tranquility at night meant we both woke each morning feeling fully refreshed! We particularly enjoyed our time spent around the swimming pool and also using the outdoor kitchen/BBQ. Everything was spotlessly clean and we know that you ensured the pool area was cleaned down for us every morning. We were blessed with good weather too. The views from the terrace were stunning and we never tired from sitting there overlooking the local Cuzorn area and the valley beyond. It was a pleasure getting to know you and hearing about your journey from Essex to Lot-et-Garonne. For us, as first guests it was a privilege staying at Lasserre and we will be talking about you and our holiday for years to come. I equally hope that for you and Kate your first guests did not let you down and we have left a wonderful impression on you too! We sincerely hope that you are rewarded for the fruits of your labour and whilst we would like you to have a busy season, just secretly we would like to keep this little bit of heaven purely for us!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Orchard Farmhouse and would have no problem recommending this beautiful house to friends and family. We liked eating on the terrace admiring the spectacular view of the Dordogne landscape. Great facilities for the children, especially in the games room. Close proximity to many delightful places of interest. Thank you, au revoir.
Wonderful home for a family vacation, amenities all on one level with nice pool with good alarm protection. Also a great place to live outside with pizza maker, BBQ and very easy to use functional kitchen. Lots of outside shaded seating areas. Air conditioning in bedrooms was a great benefit during hot weather. Lovely furnishings and felt like the home of a happy family. Easy access to boulangerie, supermarket and local restaurant - all less than 5 minutes walk. Thank you.

We had a fantastic week in Sarlat and around. The perfect base for a family holiday. We loved the gardens as Eyrignac and Marqueyssac in particular but there was so much to do and see here The Bistro De L’Octroi across the road is fantastic. Thanks Jackie and Geoff.
What a fabulous three weeks we have had staying with you at the Loft again. Thank you again for all your hard work preparing the Loft for our arrival and, of course, for your oh so warm hospitality! So many new memories for us to take home and we are coming to terms with the Boules Trophy making its way to Guernsey this year! Thank you so much for accommodating all the comings and goings of our family and friends again this year. As ever, we have loved spending time with with you and it's great to reflect that visit number four is already booked for 2020. We know we'll be in touch in the meantime.
