Panoramic views of the countryside and a short drive to a local village where we could get all of our suppliers, every aspect of the stay was catered for and a stunning pool. So peaceful and tranquil, we didn’t want to leave. Just perfect.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the friendly owners. The pool was heated to a perfect temperature and the pool area was superbly secluded. The well kept gardens boasted pétanque, badminton and croquet, with numerous named specimen trees, which offered sought after shady spots and always a place to see those sought after sunsets. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, local shops in villages are a short drive away with larger towns containing hyper markets around 20 minutes drive away. All in all a great house, pool and garden well located for the local sights and scenery of the Dordogne.
Thank you for your assistance with our booking at Villa Opio – it was hard to find fault and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed the stay.
Thank you so much Thierry and Véronique for making us so welcome in your beautiful house. We've thoroughly enjoyed a mixture of exploring and relaxing. Highlights have included the great week in Chauvigny (as well as exploring the medieval town), canoeing along a scenic stretch of the river at Angles sur L’Anglin, and exploring the châteaux. Afterwards, a day trip to Poitiers and an excellent visit to Futuroscope. We finished each day relaxing in the pool and playing boules. All in all, a wonderful week in a beautiful area.
The apartment was super clean and has everything you need. The view is even better than the photos! The location is wonderful - walk to everything. Beach, pool, grocery, water sport activities, marina, tons of restaurants. The ourdoor deck is such a nice treat. The kitchen has all the things you'll need for cooking. High end appliance, everything is new. Washer/dryer was very helpful. The infinity pool view is stunning! Safe place and very private. I didn't want to leave! First time to the French Riviera and hopefully not the last. Dream vacation!
Fab house! What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a godsend as the weather was tres chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. What a wonderful holiday we have had! You have both been incredible - from your patience over the booking; your reassurances over Covid in France, and the amazing steps you've taken to protect your guests, ( we cannot imagine anyone could do more ), to providing my daughter with a very much appreciated birthday cake ( delicious, by the way ). Always being at the end of the phone and let's not forget the incredible 'Loft' - it is beautiful - calm and relaxing, spotlessly clean. Your attention to detail is excellent. We have all had a wonderful time and return to England feeling refreshed and nurtured.
Very pleasant stay, magnificent residence, walk and discovery of a nice region... Our Brittany is beautiful! But the Dordogne also has charming assets and the hills enhance the decor! See you soon.
We had a marvellous holiday at le Chambarru. It was the nicest house we have stayed in during our many visits to France over the years.
We could not have made a better decision than to come to Villa La Baronne to spend the end of the year. The house is magnificent, the location unbeatable both for the surroundings (the river, the forest, the small towns...) and the proximity to Toulouse. The house has the services you expect and much more. An excellent experience that I hope we can repeat again. Thanks to Isabelle and Philippe for offering Villa La Baronne guests a five-star stay. This was our second stay at The Cottage du Jardin and it certainly not be our last. Caterina and Steven are perfect host who were wonderful company when the time was appropriate but gave us full privacy at all other time. To be honest, they were both like good neighbours and made us feel as if we were at home. We could speak too highly of the region, the cottage or of Cat and Steve. Thanks for a lovely week.
Wow, what a huge privilege to be the first entry into what we know will become a book full of compliments, acclaim and thanks to a very special couple who are creating a very special place. The house and gardens are an amazing reflection of the style and care and attention to detail that Russell and Karen are putting into what we know will become one of Languedoc's gems. Their un-intrusive but 'nothing is too much trouble' nature brings a relaxed and caring environment. The Loft is a lovely haven to relax in and contemplate the beautiful world around you. We look forward to returning and wish you all the very best.
Central location, great stay. The villa was huge and could easily accommodate larger groups than our three couples. The grounds were expansive and well suited for outside leisure and dining. The Rully location was super both in terms of accessing everything that Burgundy region has to offer as well as for enjoying local amenities such as bakeries, restaurant, wineries, etc. Sigrid was extremely helpful throughout the whole vacation process. A hugely enjoyable week.

We have been using Pure France regularly for many years and we have always stayed in fabulous Villas in great locations. However, we feel that Maison des Communes has just raised the bar for us in terms of the quality of the Villa with its many separate buildings and exotic furnishings. The pool was great and perfectly aligned to catch the Languedoc, Occitanie sunshine all day. And the welcome from the Owners really made us feel welcome and valued as a Customer. They even helped us carry our luggage in from the car! We were so impressed that less then 24 hours after arrival we have already booked for the next year. We cannot wait to return. 5 / 5

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your house. We did have a great time here with our kids. The weather was splendid. We did enjoy the pool, the garden and the whole mansion. Des vacances attendues... pour ce coin secret... Un séjour très reposant. Une superbe région. Des visites à nous couper le souffle. Le gouffre de Padirac excellent... Grotte de Lascaux, Sarlat, Rocamadour, Le Rocher des Aigles. Le Labyrinthe du Bugue. Tout était parfait. Une maison pleine de charme qui nous a inspiré pour notre futur bien immobilier. Frédéric et Marilou sont des hôtes formidables toujours de bon conseil du coup nous reviendrons l'année prochaine. Un grand merci.
