We really enjoyed our stay at Manoir Bellevigne. It is a lovely property.
A lovely week celebrating multiple 50th birthdays with 4 school friends and their families. We loved the pool and all the space.
We have had aan amazing 2 weeks here. Honestly this house is gorgeous. The sunsets here are like no others. Would recommend visiting local wine producers, cycling through the vineyards and generally exploring the local area. We also visited a bunch of markets up in the mountains and went to watch the Bastille day fireworks. Would love to come back soon!
Thank you so much for making it all possible. We have had an amazing stay here. We would love to come back for anniversary! Best wishes!
Thank you for providing such great accommodation, we’ve had a lovely time!
Wonderful house in an amazing location. What a fantastic trip, based in a wonderful house in an amazing location. An opportunity to discover and explore parts of the Dordogne which we hadn't seen before. Helped by the in house guides who, fortunately, selected Daglan, for dinner at La Petit Paris. What a charming village! We leave refreshed by a relaxing stay in the wonderful weather and lovely company.
We have really loved spending a week in this lovely house and garden. Thank you for you hospitality and we wish all the best to you and your family.
Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday. We've been blessed with amazing weather and have so much enjoyed this beautiful house and garden and good care!
We've spent a great week in this very quiet and verdant location. A very nice and comfortable house, indoors and outdoors. Terrace, swimming pool, sun loungers... It was great! Near Pézenas (wonderful), Valmagne Abbaye (wonderful) and local markets... The owner is sweet and very discreet.
Paradise We so enjoyed your beautiful slice of paradise in France. What an amazing 'estate' that truly defines old French country. So gorgeous and we so appreciate being able to use it. Everyone had a wonderful time.
Hi, we had a fabulous stay as a family of 4, including two teens. Completely peaceful and beautifully renovated to a very high standard. We found it hard to leave to do other activities, although the Saturday market in Auch was lovely, Aside from the pool and space, the complete plus for us was watching the wildlife. Hare, rabbits, deer and owls coming in the evening, with the widest range of birds of prey flying over that we’ve ever seen. Luckily we’d brought the camera and spent time every day trying to get good pictures.. Michelle was a great host and really took time and care to make sure we had everything we needed for a super stay! We’d love to return..
House perfect, everything you'd need. Countryside, beautiful weather - hot! Pool - contagious.
I cannot say how much I love this amazing old stone farmhouse; it has been so immaculately restored and is both stylish and supremely comfortable. The gardens are beautiful (what a fantastic collection of Salvias) and the infinity pool, with its view over the surrounding countryside, is a dream ( both for proper swimming of lengths and for sunbathing). I could spend all day here. It is lovely to have a choice of outdoor eating areas for long lunches or relaxing dinners. I love the fact the there are lots of delightful historic Bastide towns within easy driving distance, both for historical sightseeing , fabulous food markets and outstanding restaurants (Auberge Le Prieure at Moirax being my personal favourite !) I have visited the house three times now and each visit has been magic.
We loved our stay at Maison Sebastien We loved our stay at Maison Sebastien. It is very spacious, with a wonderful terrace and uninterrupted views of the Luberon countryside. It was the perfect place to bring our family together. We revelled in the peaceful atmosphere and the luxurious sense of being away from everything except nature. One of my daughters discovered a new love of bird watching as she came across so many types chirruping away from dawn until dusk. The kitchen is very well equipped and the communal areas both inside and out are so comfortable and welcoming. The pool was an absolute highlight and is a great size, and provided a fantastic place to swim, play improvised volleyball and sun bathe. The bedrooms are all simply designed in a classic Provencal style and the heavy wooden shutters provided the best way to keep rooms cool in the blistering June heat. The village of St Michel lObservatoire is totally charming and you definitely get the feeling of being well off the tourist trail and in true rural France. The bakery was sublime and tempting everyday, and we had excellent meals when we ventured out to the Auberge La Coupole in the middle of the village. The road to the house is challenging but we got used to - however I would almost certainly opt for a 4-wheel drive if we visit again as we were nervous about tyres on our rental car back (we did also get the car washed which I think really helped so didn't look like we had gone off road!). I knew that the house had been a complete success with all our family as we all discussed plans for when we could return on our last night while gazing at the spectacular starry night. Coming back home has not been easy but the charm of Maison Sebastien and its stunning location will stay long in the memory. Olivers Travels were very easy and efficient to deal with when booking initially, and the owner Kate went above and beyond with information and answering numerous questions both ahead and during our stay so we always felt very well taken care of - not to mention the wonderful caretaker Francois who was so helpful and introduced us to the house.
We had a fantastic week at La Malardier. It has been so peaceful and relaxing pottering around the beautiful garden and swimming in the pool. The weather has been rather mixed but the week has flown by and we are all very sorry to be leaving.
A lovely house, well-designed, great garden and swimming pool, lots of things to do. We do recommend this house for a holiday. We will certainly be back soon for a longer stay. Many thanks for your warm welcome and your kindness.
We had a wonderful time at your beautiful domain. We explored the region extensively, but would love to come back again to enjoy more of the peace and quiet here on your property. Everything was fine and we certainly did not lack anything. It was very nice to spend our holiday here together. Thank you so much!
Fantastic stay, beautiful house, loved Carcassonne and area. We'll be back...
I just wanted to thank you for providing us with the perfect spot for our vacation week in Provence. We loved everything about your home, the surroundings and the people. As it was my first time to Provence, we had an elaborate plan to visit Aix, Arles, Avignon etc and whereas I am sure they are fantastic places too, however, we ended up exploring the lovely mountain villages surrounding your home and loved every minute. Thank you for leaving the details regarding bike rental and horse-back riding, in the end it was a bit too hot to do either but maybe next time?! The house was great in every way and we loved every attention to detail and your impeccable taste. Again, thank you for a wonderful holiday, we do hope that some day we can return.
My extended family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. The house itself is a magnificent old stone building, which has been decorated in a very elegant manner. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and we very much appreciated the coffee machine. Younger family members enjoyed the pool and ping pong table. Being an old house, it does have some quirks, but these are very much outweighed by the charm and grandeur of the rooms and outdoor areas. The location is scenic and peaceful - but within reasonable driving distance of area attractions such as Lascaux and villages along the Dordogne. The local village is lovely, with a handy small supermarket, great boulangerie and several restaurants. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
A dreamy taste of Provence. Our stay at Maison Sebastien was a highlight of our trip. It is secluded on a little dirt road outside a small town in Provence, which is perfect for feeling like a true escape into the French countryside. Everything in this house is done so right from the exterior, interior, decor, furniture, linens, beautiful setting, and more. No detail is missed. It's the ideal place for an escape with loved ones.
Stunning views, beautiful house and glorious sun... What else is there to life? Ah French cuisine and wine!
We've had a fantastic week in your beautiful home with all its attention to detail. Thank you so much – the pool table has been a great novelty, the sports equipment and bikes have entertained us for hour. We’ve loved visiting the bastides and swimming in the lake and the Lot.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at your beautiful house. It is such a beautiful, peaceful place where we have enjoyed relaxing, swimming and eating. I think you will see us again!
Thank you for making me feel so welcome at your home. You really have thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I hope to return with my parents.
Lovely place, clean, got everything you need. Great location, easy to get to lots of places. Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely home.
Wow - what a fantastic place to stay! Hugh and Ian are wonderful hosts and have made sure everything we need us available to make our holiday such a relaxing one. The grounds are beautiful and the pool has been glorious to cool down in the summer heat. It was great to meet Oscar your stunning dog too. Thank you for another wonderful stay at Manoir de Fouilloux. So memorable as it was our little girl Clemmies first holiday!
It seems but a moment since we arrived two weeks ago, but we have had a lovely time. Thank you for your hospitality and wonderful company. What a pity we couldn’t come in June, but we are optimistic about next year. It feels much safer here in France than it does in England - we saw much more of Rieux than we have before, and have had some splendid meals. Our favourite is definitely l’Abbaye de Fontfroide, though Relais de Chantovent comes a close second. Until next June.
We had a fantastic stay. The house is absolutely lovely, the pool and garden likewise. Sarlat is superb with its old well preserved center. We loved just walking around there and have great meals in the restaurants (there are plenty).
Thank you for a wonderfully relaxing and comfortable holiday at Mas Saint-Martial! We are a family of four with teenagers (plus a dog) and we spent 2 fabulous weeks at the house. The pool was a stand-out highlight – heated, salt water and fully gated for safety – fantastic family times and memories created playing games. The boules pitch, badminton court and BBQ were also great ways to entertain ourselves. The owners live part of the year in the house next door and are extremely responsive, supportive and welcoming whilst also giving you enough ‘space’ to enjoy the seclusion and peace. In terms of restaurants, there are plenty of very reasonably priced places within easy driving distance – there are plenty of great places to visit too – Aubeterre (with a 9 hole golf range) and Brantôme were highlights for us. We even walked to the local 5 course lunch place at Chez Moran which was amazing and cheap! Their occasional night time events with music and the fish and chip van are great fun. A real gem of a place. Thank you!
