My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Château des Dragons in early September. What a magical place. Absolutely beautiful house – everything you could need and the heated pool was just wonderful. The owners were very helpful and friendly, advising us on where to visit and how to get to places. On their recommendation we went to a fab market in the local village and borrowed two bicycles to ride around the local countryside. A great local supermarket about a 20 min walk away and the château is within easy reach of Poitiers. We hope to return one day.

Amazing space of the house led to us having the best family holiday ever for 9 adults and three young children. The outdoor areas are equally fantastic, the pool, Japanese garden with pizza oven was greatly appreciated and we would love to come back and see our host Katie again.
Well maintained property, any problems rapidly sorted. Proximity of Leclerc a real bonus for the 8 year-old fetching bread in the mornings. A real relaxing holiday for three generations and would happily revisit. For Pure France (having used other of their properties) we would rate it 5 / 5.
Beautiful villa. We had a fabulous stay in this gorgeous villa. It's in a lovely quiet village. The pool is perfect for two and the villa is very comfortable. We will definitely be back soon.

We loved our stay at this lovely Domaine, Today is our last day, and we’re leaving in pain. We really had the nicest time, Especially our cozy get-togethers with lots of good wine. The days have flown by, but there’s no need to cry, We will always remember Karen’s wonderful pie.

We all had an amazing time here this week, this house is gorgeous with an amazing pool, fantastic views. We had amazing times at Les Chapoux taking in the beautiful buildings and all the nice restaurants. The hosts were welcoming and gave us a lovely tour of the house. We spent countless hours by the pool soaking in the sun. Thank you so much for this lovely stay.

An amazing house in a part of France which is so rich of culture, beauty, villages, churches, fields of sunflowers and I must say, it is difficult to leave the house... real stylish home. The kitchen inspires to cook, the outside place gives you the opportunity to swim, read, eat, enjoy the sun. The bedrooms, mattresses and linen and perfect.
Perfection. Fabulous farmhouse that is beautifully decorated and with stunning gardens. We loved the roses, the pool, the sun loungers, the shutters - in fact everything. When we stayed the surrounding fields were full of sunflowers... lovely local walks too! I would love to come back with my mum and step-dad (there are downstairs bedrooms and they are all quite spread out, so it feels very private). The owner was very charming and full of good local knowledge. 10/10. Perfection!
A charming beautiful home from home. A relaxing fortnight as a family, soakling in the views of the French countyrside and all the character of the house. Where one family can stay in one location and spend precious time together - Malardier is the perfect place to do so
Such a lovely well appointed cottage. We had a warm welcome from Caterina when we arrived. Comfy bed, great shower and well equipped kitchen. Weather is now quite autumnal, cool with showers. But even so, we went out somewhere different every day. Sarlat, Domme, Château de Losse. After reading other guests' comments in this book, we discovered some pretty villages we wouldn't have known about. Fanlac, Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, Saint-Amand-de-Coly and Saint-Géniès. All reached by lovely countryside views. This cottage would be a perfect place to stay in the summer months, where you would benefit from the lovely pool and outside eating areas. The week went by far too quickly, but we will have our memories and many photos to look back on. Thank you Caterina and Steve.
A truly fabulous house, super comfortable and well equipped with everything you could want. The incredible kitchen is a joy to cook in. The pool was warm and super clean. This was a really special place for our family holiday with lots of space to spread out. Clare gave us some great recommendations for places to visit and eat. Andy cooked us a delicious meal for us which is a real treat. The area is lovely and peaceful, surrounded by vineyards, unspoilt local towns and villages. We would love to return and show the area and house to other friends and family.
I loved this holiday. I love sport so I sent most of my days in the gorgeous pool, I would practice my swimming and then float around and look at the blue sky. I loved the tennis court and spend hours practicing my forehand. The château is so pretty, it could have been made up. Any kid would love this place.
Thank you for a delightful week in a truly charming cottage. Even if the weather was a wee bit shy about showing the sun the house more than made up for it with its character. The 2 restaurants in the village are excellent! (Remember a torch if you're coming after dinner!). Sarlat on a Wednesday (market day) well worth a visit. Saint-Léon is a pretty place with a big choice of "eateries". Lascaux IV is interesting and well presented.! Many thanks Caterina and Steve!

Just a little note to say thank you so much for our lovely, restful, peaceful stay in your beautiful Loft. We're sure you saw we were well and truly exhausted after a summer running events - the Loft was THE PERFECT ANTIDOTE! All the little touches were noted and appreciated by us both and we spent a lovely evening enjoying many aperitifs with you. Many, many heartfelt thanks again. A charming property and in great location to explore the Loire Valley. Great property- a true piece of history, well persevered and maintained, with a charming personal interior touch of the owners, and in an excellent good location for exploring the Loire Valley. We spent a week in late July, two families with two teenagers each, and we had a great time. First the property – you arrive through a generous and welcoming front yard. The house itself is a really great piece of historic architecture (probably 400 – 500 years old) and full of character and charm, from the traditional contractions materials (stones and old wood beams), large traditional fireplaces in each room (one still fully functional). At the ground floor there are large rooms (living, dinning, library and a full equipped kitchen) so anyone can find its own space, in case for any reason you want to stay indoors. On the first floor two large bedrooms and another two bedrooms on the second floor. Plenty of space for 8 to 10 people. Coming out on the back of the house it is the real “piece de resistance”, a vast garden with a well maintain lawn, swimming pool and a pool house with lots of games. It is here where everyone spent most of the time. We had great weather, so when we were not out visiting the region, we were in the back yard (your private little park) swimming in the pool, playing ping-pong, badminton, fuss ball or playing fetch with our dog. Second the location –great base for exploring the Loire valley, from a genuine vegetables farm that is just next door, an unassuming but great boulangerie in the village and close proximity to Samur, to numerous castles that are in 45 – 90 minutes drive. We would recommend a visit to Chateau Villandry castle, a bit atypical for the region, as it was renovated and used in the modern days and its gardens are exceptionally, even by French castles standards. We also did a day trip to the Atlantic coast and had a lovely day on the beach. To sum up, all you need for a great vacation – a property full of character and charm, lots of activities indoor and outdoor and a great location to explore one of the most interesting regions in France by car or by bike.
The views are phenomenal We have had the most wonderful week here and are very sad to be leaving! The views are phenomenal, it’s such a special place. The mist in the morning with the hot air balloons popping through is magic! We really appreciated all the was provided – the food and wine to make us feel so welcome. We hope to return!
A beautifully appointed villa with wonderful views in all directions. On a practical level, we enjoyed the generous provisions left for us, the fact that everything worked and close at hand, the fabulous pool! We can see why so many people would want to come back here, especially as there is so much to see and do locally. Our balloon adventure worked out splendidly for the three generations that took flight. A Bientot perhaps!
