We just wanted to say how impressed we were with the house we rented through Pure France. We have rented a lot of houses both in the UK and overseas and I think this was definitely one of the very best. It was so well equipped - not just in terms of entertainment but all the items in the house (especially in the kitchen) and home comforts and the swimming pool was perfect. We are so glad we found it and we had an excellent week.
What a wonderful property! The fantastic set up with different residences suited our family group perfectly. The outdoor dining area and the mini kitchen were great, and having so much fridge space there and by the pool was very helpful. Mireille was absolutely brilliant – both in terms of advice and information before our arrival and while we were here. Thank you for a truly lovely stay.
Thank you Pascal and Julien for making us so welcome at your fabulous home. We really appreciated your special efforts to source a highchair for Hatta - who enjoyed her first proper holiday. A wonderfull family holiday we we will always remember. Our favourite moment was playing in the pool. We enjoyed Aubeterre with the underground church and Brantôme also the market at Ribérac.
The chalet is ideally located and close to all amenities and activities. We loved the warm welcome, the good advice on the Valley and the places not to be missed. The chalet is a haven of peace, perfectly equipped and intelligently arranged to spend relaxing moments with the family. From young to old, we sincerely enjoyed ourselves and everyone found their happiness. We also appreciated the attention that was given to us on our arrival and with which we feasted. We will be back!
After many weeks of uncertainty, our decision to drive down to the Loft du Vigneron has been vindicated by a superb week. Thank you so much for all that you have done to make our week so memorable; especially prior to us leaving the UK. Your e-mails and your flexibility made us have a sense of connection before we had met you both. We have appreciated all the small touches that have made our stay easier - from the notes, welcome pack, advice, booking restaurants, etc. A good life is made up of special memories. At the end of a long and busy vacation in France, the property was a beautiful place to relax. The grounds and pool are perfect, the owners were friendly and helpful. Very clean, well appointed, comfortable. Close enough to go where we wanted along the Côte d'Azur, but peaceful when we wanted to relax. One week was not enough. Will definitely return here if we travel to France again.
This has been an exceptional family holiday in your beautiful home with so much care – incredible welcoming brood, cheeses, wines and then several deliveries of pastries and melons during the week. The villa is so spectacular with really good provisions and the swimming pool where we have spent many happy hours, the BBQ and lots of seating areas. Bedrooms all lovely. We loved the location and did lots of cycling through local villages including Capestang for the market – great to meet the locals and some of us cycled to Béziers. A highlight was driving to Gorge d’Héric for a short walk and a swim in one of the rock pools there and then a drink in the very scenic town of Roquebrun. So much laughter and happiness and memories to be cherished. I would love to return for my 70th, 5 years’ time! Many thanks for an incredible stay helped enormously by sunshine every day.
I just wanted to say what a fantastic time we all had at Maison Semoussac. Everything we could have asked for was catered for and we all had a wonderful time from the grandmothers to the youngest child. The house is beautiful and the views and surrounding area are also. We found the locals very friendly and accommodating and loved visiting the patisserie each morning for fresh bread and croissants. The weather was extremely hot but even this did not create any problems as the children either played in the shepherd's hut, the play room or back at the house to cool off although they did spend a huge amount of time in the pool! I even managed a run along the footpaths while it was slightly cooler past the beautiful sunflower fields.
We have had a great holiday here. The house is lovely and we enjoyed exploring the local area. We loved playing in that pool overlooking the beautiful scenery. We will definitely be back. Many thanks.
Absolutely stunning château, beautiful inside and out with everything you need for a relaxing and luxurious holiday. Lovely quiet setting but close to pretty villages with bustling markets and restaurants. Great for large families or groups as there is plenty of room but also has wonderful communal areas - particularly around the pool, the tennis court, pétanque court and dining in the idyllic front courtyard. Grounds to stroll around, with river and shady trees- a classic slice of French heaven!

Every moment has been enjoyable and I am full of admiration for the way you have lovingly restored the house over 15 years, the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. It has certainly been a holiday to remember, in such a lovely setting and area of France.
We felt very comfortable here in this house with the beautiful garden and pool. Peacefulness, rest and relaxation - What more would you want? We particularly appreciated how attentive and helpful people were in Bessan and Agde as we needed help for our little Leah. We have greatly enjoyed our time, recovered and will definitely come back. One cannot improve on Perfection! Where then should we begin with our praiseworthy comments ?! Should we start by mentioning the welcoming warmth and engaging, positively colourful, accomplished characters that were our hosts, the exquisite taste, elegant and classic style of decor and furnishings presenting a regal, yet comfortable, homely feel, the 15th Century magic of years of History in every corner, the scrumptious and generous welcome pack, the quiet peace of the surroundings and the relaxing, yet vibrant courtyard, bursting with greenery, punctuated by subtle pops of colour from scented roses amongst other floral tributes outside and in, including delicate orchids enhancing every room, also hung with original artwork and beneath our feet, Persian and exotic rugs to soften our tread... I could go on, but I think you get my drift! The understated luxury of this homely, comfortable haven away from the busy, demanding lives we seek to escape on holiday, has achieved the perfect balance and we look forward tremendously to another visit when life allows! If you’re lucky enough to secure a booking...You’ll love it too!
I had a great stay at Le Mas de Combet with a group of 9 adults and 2 infants as we were attending a wedding nearby at Chateau de St Paul (c. 10 - 15 minutes drive) The house was clean, well equipped and very peaceful and private. The villa is remote so a car is definitely required but it's a beautiful setting with wonderful views of the countryside and the pool was well used during our stay! We had a couple of days of rain but the house is so comfortable and has plenty of space for indoor and outdoor entertaining. One small note was that there is no soap, shower gel or shampoo provided as described on the listing but that was a very minor inconvenience which was easily resolved. Dermod, our contact was extremely helpful and responsive and even personally arranged a lift for one of our party back from the wedding venue (thanks to Patricia!). Thanks for a great stay - we would definitely recommend!
We had a fantastic stay. The house is absolutely lovely, the pool and garden likewise. Sarlat is superb with its old well preserved center. We loved just walking around there and have great meals in the restaurants (there are plenty).
Thank you so much for an amazing stay, how will we cope without the view!!!! Main highlights include, hanging around the house, Mount Ventoux for go carting and tubing etc, watching the Tour de France at Grignan, Nyons for great markets and music in the evenings, les Barons perches Nyons for high ropes and Vaison la romaine.
We had a wonderful weekend in a beautiful location. The castle is extremely comfortable, very well restored with spacious rooms and tastefully decorated down to the smallest detail. The welcome is warm and everything is thought of for a perfect stay. We were 14 people.
The chateau is magnificent - very large and comfortable. It is finished to a very high standard with beautiful furniture, comfortable beds, high quality bedding and towels, and well equipped kitchen and dining room. The location is quiet with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and vineyards. Quentin is a wonderful host. He was eager to make our stay memorable by offering to organize restaurant bookings, local vineyard tours and wine tastings. Thank you, Quentin!
Your house is lovely and we all had a relaxing and enjoyable week. I think I can safely say that in all the years of hiring holiday accommodation in France we have not stayed in such a well appointed and well equipped property. What an absolute joy to spend in such a wonderful house. We have had such a lovely fortnight and will miss the view and the birdsong each morning, but hope to see it all again one day’.
This was our first ever holiday rental and it has set the bar very high indeed. From the moment we arrived to a warm and friendly welcome by our hosts (Katerina and Stephen) to the time we departed with the same warmth and friendliness still on display we could not have wanted a better start to our extended holiday. The cottage is very well appointed and is a perfect size for a couple. It had all the facilities one would hope to find to make our two weeks very much a 'home from home' sensation and provided space for the two of us to move around comfortably. The pool is also excellent and reflects the great care our hosts took in ensuring everything was perfectly presented. The location - in the Vezere valley - is ideal for visiting the numerous attractions of the area. Pre historic caves, stalagmite and stalactite caves, fortified houses, gorgeous châteaux and so many utterly charming villages. We even ventured into a canoe for a 12km cruise down the Vezere which allowed us to see the valley from a different perspective. Although we love visiting different places there is a high probability of us coming back again!
A memorable week in Les Trois Maisons de Valescure. Our host Thomas was very caring and attentive. Very good services (top bedding and cleanliness, nothing to complain about. A pleasant break in a magnificent and relaxing place. Thank you very much for the welcome and your kindness. We will come back with pleasure!
Not enough superlatives. An amazing time with all the family — 18 of us ranging from 72 to 8 months.
We had a lovely two weeks in this beautiful old French farmhouse with its heavenly views and surrounded in wonderful countryside. We have spent most of our time in the garden, playing bolles, swimming, water ball, table tennis and using the pool table, enjoying leisurely meals on the terrace with great views. Trips out to Vaison la Romain, daily trips to the boulangie, wonderful walks, some brilliant bike rides for children and adults alike. We have seen some wonderful wildlife around the area, geckos, cicadas etc. We are sad to leave but hope to return one day.
After 2.5 years in the making, everything conspired against us. Well worth the wait! The Loft is exactly as expected and the welcome even better! We loved the ambiance, the garden and the area after the last months of lockdown etc - it has been wonderful. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity - the mobility aid was indispensable and the evening spent getting to know you both was great. Can we also thank you for your incredibly comprehensive welcome pack. We enjoy cooking and we’re very grateful for the extras. Thank you Karen, for delivery on day one - BREAKFAST WAS BRILLIANT! We have really enjoyed the garden - a lot of hard work, we know, but much appreciated. We do hope we keep in touch as we will miss Russell’s lengthy epistles - always a good read! He should write a book; maybe the history of your home with the trials and tribulations of renovating thrown in (‘A Year - or Two - in Minervois’, perhaps?). If you are ever back in the region, you know where we are!
Wow! What a fabulous week we had! Such a beautiful area to explore and the house and pool were beautiful. There is so much to do. I'm sure we'll be back for more adventures, hopefully. We loved everything, especially the pool :)
A very beautiful setting for our first family trip to Europe! The villa and surrounds were so beautiful that nobody wanted to go anywhere… just sit and relax. A fantastic kitchen helped us feed our big group. Brent and Debbie were very welcoming and made our week very special. Thank you.
