Beautiful house, best we have ever stayed in. All the comforts of home and so tastefully decorated. Will definitely be back with the family. We had a wonderful holiday.
Quelle semaine incroyable dans une maison merveilleuse ! Nous avons apprécié une excursion à Jonzac et à St Georges de Didonne, mais nous avons surtout passé du temps dans la maison avec tout ce qu'elle a à offrir. Salle de jeux pour les parties de ping-pong en famille, la température de la piscine était fabuleuse et la maison elle-même très spacieuse et confortable. Merci pour le panier de bienvenue, la très bonne communication avant notre séjour et pour nous avoir permis de profiter de ce havre de paix !
An amazing house with the best swimming pool we have ever seen! 16 of us stayed in this lovely house for 2 weeks as we took the little gîte as well. We had a fabulous holiday. You have to drive up through fields of sunflowers to get there – a great welcome. We had loads of children but the pool is so big they spent the whole time doing acrobatics in it – and there was still room for us adults, when we managed to peel ourselves off the sun loungers. Evenings were spent playing tennis on the courts in the house grounds, BBQs, or local restaurants.
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans votre villa. Nous avons visité le jardin Saint Adrien qui était magnifique mais n'avons pas assisté au spectacle avec les chevaux et la musique. La villa était vraiment parfaite et merci de nous avoir permis d'y séjourner.
We have stayed in some lovely properties in France, but this has to be the very best. We appreciated everything you both so generously provided to make our stay so very comfortable. Right from the moment we arrived we felt welcome. We enjoyed our visits to Carcassonne, Narbonne and Minerve, and our boat trip on the Canal du Midi from Capestang and our trip to the Abbeye de Fontfroide. We had a superb meal in Restaurant d'Alibert in Caunes Minervois. Thank you so much for everything. We have had such a lovely fortnight and will miss this haven of beauty, peace and comfort for quite sometime. We hope to visit again - it sure is tough to leave here.
We stayed with our 2 children aged 5 and 7 and had a wonderful time. There are plenty of things to do nearby and the accomodation was well equiped and great for a family holiday. The pool is wonderful for long hot afternoons and there is lots of outdoor space to explore. The hosts were very helpful and I would recommend this place to my friends.
This is an ideal holiday home if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing time surrounded by beautiful countryside. There are no other houses nearby, yet you are only a 10 minute drive from the nearby Bastide of Monpazier and larger town of Villareal, where there are shops, restaurants, markets etc. The pool is a good size and well maintained and the house is very well equipped. We have been coming to France for over 10 years and this is the only property which has enticed us back for 2 years running.
I loved being here for two weeks and being able to use the pool nearly everyday! I haven’t swum recently so it was a great chance to practice. I enjoyed spending time with you and my family in the sun. I hope I can see you soon.
Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à la Maison Bonnet. Cette maison est très bien équipée et très agréable à vivre aussi bien à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. Notre hôte David a été très sympathique et très réactif. Nous recommandons chaudement ce lieu de villégiature.
There aren't enough words to describe how much of a great time we have had. The Loft was amazing and we can't wait to come back in 2017. Karen and Russell are just the perfect hosts. See you next year.
Thank you for the warm welcome - Rêve de Pêcheur is very charming. We enjoyed village life and visits to Château de Villandry, the Cadre Noir, Château de Langeais and Fontevraud Abbey.
A very enjoyable and relaxing week at La Maison Tournesol and hosts Meryl and Richard plus of course the lovely Poppy. Weather was slightly mixed but very pleasant when the sun was out. The very peaceful and well prepared accommodation was for the week and provided a perfect base to visit the surrounding area. The nearby village of Bourg de Visa is very picturesque and provides all required amenities with local shop an bank. Enjoyed a very nice meal at the restaurant on our final evening, the owner was most welcoming and very friendly. Thanks again both and hope to return again.
We have so enjoyed our week here in our very own secret garden. Who would imagine there would be such a magical place waiting for us, just a second from the road? After many moments of uncertainty, it has been a huge tonic to relax in the sunshine in this beautiful garden and enjoy relaxing with our daughters. We haven’t explored very much beyond the Loft, but the countryside is beautiful, the wine and food delicious and the canoeing trip exhilarating and at times a little scary! Karen and Russell are the perfect hosts - always present but never in your space. They have created a perfect holiday home - immaculate and brilliantly equipped, and the fridge and cupboards generously filled to enhance your welcome and stay. We have enjoyed hours by the perfect pool and will fondly remember our 2021 say here. Hopefully we will be back! Thank you, Karen and Russell for everything.
Je suis revenu aux Fumerates pendant cinq années consécutives et j'ai toujours passé un moment des plus merveilleux ici. Les Fumerates sont d'une beauté époustouflante et le cadre est inégalé. La piscine à débordement et la vue sur la mer sont incroyables. Très bien situé - très calme, mais proche de St Paul de Vence. Nous en partons toujours très détendu et revigoré. Je ne saurais trop le recommander !
Words cannot express how fantastic this place is. The sunsets, the pool, the kitchen, the coffee machine…all sublime.
Great villa, fantastic weather, good location. The children enjoyed the pool and nana enjoyed the shade of the willow! Lovely beaches like home in Cornwall, if only we had the weather! The jet skiing was awesome and kids caught a squid rock pooling, along with many crabs.

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux ! Le domaine est très spacieux et nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux et amical. Le gîte était bien équipé avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Le WiFi a été perturbé avant et pendant notre séjour, mais le propriétaire avait déjà organisé une solution alternative, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. La piscine était fantastique, avec beaucoup d’accessoires à disposition, et nous avons également profité de la salle de sport. Le propriétaire nous a gentiment offert des œufs frais et de délicieuses courgettes charnues – un vrai régal ! Leur jeune chien bouvier bernois est absolument adorable, même s’il est encore en apprentissage et dans cette phase espiègle d’adolescence. Dans l’ensemble, un séjour charmant, et nous serions ravis de revenir un jour.
Le havre de paix idéal pour notre famille C'était notre premier séjour en Charente et nous avons été ravis de La Charmante Distillerie. C'était l'idéal pour mes grands-parents, avec ses chambres au rez-de-chaussée et un accès facile de plain pied à une belle terrasse et à la piscine. Le gîte est situé en forêt et la vue est imprenable. L'accent mis sur le développement durable était appréciable, notamment les nombreux arbres fruitiers et les herbes aromatiques pour la cuisine. Mark a été d'une grande aide pour tous les détails et a été d'un grand secours avec ses recommandations et ses connaissances locales. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter et nous le recommandons vivement pour une escapade paisible.
Fab house! What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a godsend as the weather was tres chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. What a wonderful holiday we have had! We are finally home and now reflecting on happy memories of our wonderful holiday in France and particularly our 10 nights spent here. Where do we begin to ever thank you for all that you did and for making our holiday so special. We felt like we had our own personal butler looking after us throughout our stay. Even prior to our arrival we welcomed the emails, the ease of booking and then promptly replying to any query that we had , as well as the phone call to offer help and support the week before we were scheduled to arrive. We really appreciated the welcome basket of goodies and all the other little things that you had thoughtfully put in the fridge, making our arrival into the gîte a very warm and welcome one. Your 'blood, sweat and tears' have truly paid off as we could see the attention to detail that has gone in to making this a luxury gîte for your guests. We noticed the quality of furnishings and fittings, bed linen, sumptuous soft towels and then separate towels laid out for us by the pool, all of which made for an exciting stay ahead! The beds were extremely comfortable and accompanied by the peace and tranquility at night meant we both woke each morning feeling fully refreshed! We particularly enjoyed our time spent around the swimming pool and also using the outdoor kitchen/BBQ. Everything was spotlessly clean and we know that you ensured the pool area was cleaned down for us every morning. We were blessed with good weather too. The views from the terrace were stunning and we never tired from sitting there overlooking the local Cuzorn area and the valley beyond. It was a pleasure getting to know you and hearing about your journey from Essex to Lot-et-Garonne. For us, as first guests it was a privilege staying at Lasserre and we will be talking about you and our holiday for years to come. I equally hope that for you and Kate your first guests did not let you down and we have left a wonderful impression on you too! We sincerely hope that you are rewarded for the fruits of your labour and whilst we would like you to have a busy season, just secretly we would like to keep this little bit of heaven purely for us!

We would like to very highly recommend this grand idillic property in the tranquil rural setting of the Lot Valley. The quietness and peacefulness of the house and grounds is the perfect place to completely unwind, to read, draw, play boules, table tennis or relax with the family by the poolside area. The market town of Villeréal was particularly vibrant and trips into the Dordogne to Beynac for example is only an hour away. There is an abundance of local wines and vineyards to visit with exquisite cheeses and bread from the local markets. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We have returned totally refreshed and relaxed!

Had a great fortnight in Les Sphynx de Pézenas. Everything you want really. Recommend Chez Paul, Les Entre Pots and Ou es tu Ginger (veggie food) in the local area to eat. Marina Bay at Marseillan Plage - great food and lovely views. All in all a great location and house.
Un cadre idyllique, tellement calme et paisible. Nous y avons passé une belle lune de miel, merci !
Notre semaine à la villa a été tout simplement magique ! Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été frappés par la tranquillité des environs. La villa elle-même est magnifiquement entretenue. Il a fait très venteux pendant notre séjour et Philippe est venu chaque matin nettoyer la piscine ! Nous avons passé des heures dans la piscine – elle est tout simplement magnifique ! Chaque jour a apporté une nouvelle aventure – la visite de dégustation de vin à La Cave était vraiment intéressante (même si nous avons fini par dépenser une petite fortune !). Philippe a été l’hôte parfait – tellement aimable. Les viennoiseries livrées deux fois par semaine étaient délicieuses et un immense merci à Philippe pour les gâteaux d’anniversaire des 60 ans de mon mari le vendredi ! Le repas offert par Philippe à La Tour était tout simplement incroyable – à tel point que nous avons décidé d’y retourner pour les célébrations d’anniversaire. Ce séjour a été du genre à vous ressourcer à tous les niveaux. Nous repartons détendus, inspirés et déjà en train de planifier notre retour ! Nous recommandons vivement à quiconque recherche une escapade française sereine associée à une hospitalité sincère et attentionnée ! Merci infiniment Philippe – nous sommes tellement tristes de partir mais nous repartons avec de merveilleux souvenirs !
