Perfect peace and luxury. Château Velouse is the perfect place to relax: large, beautifully furnished bedrooms, luxury bathrooms, extensive walled grounds, an orchard, seats tucked away under shady trees, well equipped large kitchen and a heated swimming pool with comfy beds and parasols. The château is far enough from the road to ensure that bird song is the loudest noise you will hear. We had a marvellous week with a large group of friends ( 15 for dinner one night ) and the château never felt crowded. The outdoor dining terrace was perfect of an evening and we sat late into the night laughing, drinking and playing giant jenga! This venue is perfect for a group of friends or family to spend quality time together in beautiful surroundings. You do need a car to get out and about and Bourges is well worth a visit when you can tear yourself away from the pool.
Thanks for having us. We've loved the games room and pool. Carcassonne was a delight and beautiful. We hope we can come back soon.

Thank you so much for the very warm welcome, all the ‘goodies’ you provided and of course the use of your very well equipped Loft. It felt like we had always known you (perhaps because we’re all Northerners!). The Italian restaurant in the village is great to be able to walk to. A few degrees below 38 would have been preferable, but out of your control! Good luck with the house.

Des pâtisseries fraîches du matin à un délicieux repas au "Le Pourquoi Pas", vous êtes allé au-delà - et cela, combiné au confort et à l'environnement de la villa, c'est ce qui a rendu ces vacances si spéciales. Nous avons tous adoré : le confort des lits et la qualité du linge, l'eau chaude irréprochable et la propreté de la piscine. Cette villa fonctionne vraiment, nous permettant de passer des vacances sans stress ! Tant de souvenirs heureux ont été créés. Nous espérons revenir avec un nouveau venu, mais en attendant, au revoir et merci beaucoup.

Nous sommes venus pour l’anniversaire de ma maman avec le reste de la famille. La maison est très confortable et détendue, nous avons même pu utiliser la cheminée. Nous avons été accueillis par Frédéric et ses magnifiques arrangements floraux. Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique. La piscine était super, beaucoup d’espace dans la maison. Merci beaucoup de partager votre belle maison avec nous.
Nous avons passé un bon moment dans cette magnifique maison avec une vue fantastique sur la campagne. La maison a beaucoup de chambres et de salles de bains ainsi qu'une grande cuisine/séjour, ce qui la rend idéale pour un grand groupe. Mais comme elle est également très confortable, elle convient également très bien à un petit groupe ou à un couple. Elle bénéficie de toutes les commodités, comme une bonne cuisine, une terrasse avec barbecue, une piscine, un jardin, une table de billard, une télévision, etc. pour des vacances reposantes. La maison est entourée de vignes, mais la mer, les Causes et même les Pyrénées ne sont pas si loin, donc un excellent emplacement pour découvrir le Languedoc (que ce soit en voiture ou à vélo).
We stayed in Maison Bouquier after falling in love with the area on a previous trip and loving then the walking in the Dentelles the tranquility, the pretty villages and excellent vineyards. If you feel active then Les Baux (and the outstanding Carrieres de Luminieres), Avignon, Orange And Châteauneuf-du-Pape are all good outings. Caromb is a great base to stay, with an extremely good supermarket, good range of local shops plus cafés and an outstanding restaurant in the town square. The house is situated at the edge of the village so is very peaceful. The house is really attractive with lovely gardens. It is extremely stylish yet very relaxing and was really well equipped. We appreciated the very comfortable beds and sofas, the powerful showers, the top of the range cooker, quality appliances and fans. It was lovely to always eat in the outdoors dining area, shaded even at the sunniest time of day, with a wonderful view. The pool, patio and second little seating area were all much enjoyed. We had a fabulous week.
Thank you so much for yet another fantastic vacation here at your lovely Camirout. This year the weather has been perfect so we really enjoyed our trips to Bordeaux, Saint-Emilion, the caves and canoeing on the River Du Auemant-du-Dropt. We will luckily see each other again next year - only 50 weeks to go!
Perfect. Our second visit and we hope it won’t be the last. Would give it six stars if we could. A beau cottage, tastefully decorated and well equipped. A beautiful pool and a peaceful setting near a village where you can eat well if you’re tired of cooking. Plenty to explore in the area. Best of all, a warm welcome from the owners.
Thanks to everyone there for your help. We had a fantastic holiday. The villa was everything you said it would be. Thanks also for your reassurance during covid. We were so pleased we went.
This is the second time we had spent time at this property so we were a bit more familiar with area. I struggle to think of a better location to holiday than this area of Provence, it has everything, beautiful countryside, restaurants, vineyards and historic villages. One eats outside all the time as the evenings are warm and balmy and in this respect this property is blessed with a superb view looking across the valley to Vaison-la-Romaine and the Dentelles in the distance. There is complete privacy with the nearest neighbour being a considerable distance from the house. Inside the house is spacious and beautifully laid out contrasting with its former farmhouse origins. If you want relaxation but with loads to do in the area then I really cannot think of a better place to stay for a summer holiday.
Une belle propriété, qui est très bien équipée et qui est très bien agencée même pour notre groupe de 6 personnes.
Nous sommes retournés à la Maison Charvin, Montlaur pour la deuxième année consécutive. Revenir à la même destination de vacances peut parfois être une erreur, pour des raisons évidentes, mais certainement pas dans ce cas. Tout était exactement comme dans nos souvenirs. :-) La Maison Charvin elle-même était charmante, confortable et spacieuse comme toujours. La maison ainsi que le jardin reposant et la belle piscine nous ont procuré des journées très relaxantes au soleil. La magnifique campagne environnante a permis plusieurs excursions d'une journée agréables à Carcassonne et Lagrasse, pour n'en citer que quelques-unes. Sharon, notre hôte, était comme toujours attentionnée, aimable et extrêmement accueillante. Merci encore de nous avoir permis de visiter votre belle maison pour la deuxième année consécutive - c'était tout aussi agréable que notre première visite.
Maison unique au cœur de la Provence ! Nous sommes une famille anglo-française avec 3 enfants et aimons venir au Paradou autant que possible ! Nous y avons passé deux étés et gardons un excellent souvenir de nos séjours : la maison est joliment décorée dans un style provençal avec des touches personnelles des propriétaires (musique, peinture, photographie) et la piscine est toujours très agréable... La région est parfaite pour le tourisme (c'est probablement le meilleur endroit de Provence !) et pour ceux qui aiment cuisiner (comme moi) les marchés et les produits sont tout simplement merveilleux !
The house is pleasant and the host is welcoming. There is space for a large group. It is easy to park in front of the house and there is also an option to park in the garden. Well located, you can buy bread on the houseboat across the bridge and the bookstore is a must!
I have passed along the property information to several of my friends with glowing recommendations. And of course we hope to return soon as this was simply the most lovely place we have ever stayed!
Stunning château in rural France. In August this year we made our 3rd visit to Château Velouse with a group of friends and once again had a wonderful time. The first time we flew to Paris and hired a car but found it more economical to take a ferry - crossing to Dieppe last year and Calais in August. Easy drive on all occasions. Location is in a beautiful rural area steeped in history and close to the Loire with its majestic châteaux and extensive forests. Medieval Bourge, only a few miles away, is very well worth several visits – the acoustics in the cathedral are amazing. The surrounding area is reasonably flat and so an ideal centre for cycling on very quiet roads and off road tracks. The communal areas and bedrooms in the château are impressive and very classy. The pool area is an ideal centre for complete relaxation. Pool is clean and well maintained. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly - very attentive to our needs and not obtrusive. Well worth a visit.
Like a 5 star hotel! What a great week we spent in your lovely home in France. You have done it so well and we really felt we were staying in a family home not simply a gîte. Your attention to detail shows. The garden is beautiful and all the 'toys' were very much appreciated with a week long tennis and croquet tournament! And of course the piece de resistance was the swimming area which was like a 5 star hotel.
We had a wonderful stay - especially enjoyed the swimming pool and the chickens, great to have fresh eggs every morning!
Nous sommes tombés sous le charme du Château du Marquisat. Intégralement rénové avec beaucoup de goût , vous y trouverez le charme d'hier et tout le confort d'aujourd'hui. Bien que nous y ayons séjourné en hiver nous avons pu apprécier cette belle région du Minervois, la proximité du canal du midi et des plages de la méditerranée. De plus les propriétaires sont vraiment accueillants, nous n'avons qu'une envie : y retourner en été !
Nous avons passé une super semaine villa très propre il y'a vraiment très calme et paisible je vous recommande.
La maison elle-même est superbe et il est clair que sa restauration a fait l'objet de beaucoup de réflexion, la qualité est omniprésente. Nous avons adoré l'arrivée, ce fut une surprise totale. C'est une maison merveilleusement spacieuse, privée et très bien équipée. Des vacances vraiment relaxantes, nous n'avons manqué de rien.
We really enjoyed our stay in your house and wished we could have had more time. We spent most of our time in the garden, under the oak tree or at the swimming pool. The evenings are absolutely marvellous with the typical Provence colours and smells. It must be a great place also to spend some time in the winter. At that time it will be probably more time spend inside the house which is beautiful as well and very nice decorated.
Exceptionnel. Le Château de la Ronde et son parc ont été magnifiquement rénovés et entretenus. Nous avons été très bien accueillis dès notre arrivée et chaque chose a été pensée pour rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible. La vue sur le château de Saumur depuis le château est magnifique.
