A weekend in Leucate

Leucate, located in the Aude department in Occitanie, is the best place to go windsurfing, drink a cocktail on the terrace or swim at the beach, or take a walk with an exceptional view of the entire Mediterranean. Don't forget to go to the heart of Leucate Village for a coffee on the terrace!

Walk to the Leucate lighthouse

The Leucate lighthouse offers a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean. You can walk all along the path, which is classified as part of the Heritage circuit of the Regional Park of Narbonnaise in the Mediterranean.

Provide good shoes and water in summer because the walk has no shady spots.

Heading for the Mediterranean Sea with Chef Erwan Houssin.

At Cap Leucate, you will find a restaurant with an ideal setting with a 360° view, to taste the Chef's cuisine. Where finesse meets the balance of textures and flavors. The foam, the sea breeze or the spray, you can discover through the three menus, a delicate cuisine between land and sea.

The 5,400 hectares of the pond offers a strong shellfish farming activity (different cultures of shellfish: cupped oysters, mussels) and fishing. In addition, it presents a beautiful diversity of natural habitats sheltering remarkable plant and animal species.
