Absolutely fabulous week here. Wonderful facilities and the children have loved every minute. It's our 18 months’ old first villa holiday in France and certainly memorable for us all.
Rabassie is heaven close by to Limoux at which there is a plethora of things to do; Swimming and tennis, running and boules, and the wicket takes spin if you follow the rules! A holiday so special, it was planned years ago, and we dreamed of the sunshine during last winter's snow. But the reality's far better than anyone thought, it's a place in a million and we wanted for naught. Grandparents, parents and five grandchildren too, we laughed and we played all the day through; but when we were thirsty the beers were imposters lacking the 'nectar of wonderful Fosters'! The house wants for nothing, its completely equipped, the mind boggles as to how it could all have been shipped. The kitchen has everything, including a spurtle, and the only sound heard is the meowing of Myrtle! Despite sporting distractions for all of us folks we were glued to the tele watching Ben Stokes. It is lucky our neighbours were only wild boar 'cos his winning four caused a deafening roar! But all of this fun could not have happened each day had it not been for Natalie and Mike and their way; No problem too great, no trouble too small, with charm and great knowledge they dealt with it all. Merci, merci, merci!
The daily stroll through le Grand Verger to the ice cream shop within Larressingle was a delight.
La villa a été tout ce que nous espérions et bien plus encore. L’hébergement est superbe, tout comme les équipements. Quel plaisir de pouvoir bénéficier des livraisons de petit-déjeuner (à choisir et commander). Le gâteau au citron était délicieux. Nous recommandons vivement le marché du mardi à Clairac. Notre semaine a été TRÈS CHAUDE – nous avons donc bien profité de la magnifique piscine. Nous avons aimé nous promener et faire du vélo jusqu’à Mauvezin. Les commerçants y étaient tous très sympathiques et accueillants. La villa était parfaite pour notre famille de 8 personnes. Nous la recommandons sans hésiter. Merci beaucoup Philippe, hôte et traducteur exceptionnel !
It is early spring. My husband and I decide to go to the South of France for a fortnight. Our eye has fallen on La Picholine. It is in the Gard region and close to nice places. Like Uzès, Nîmes, Avignon. What a surprising place on arrival. Two enthusiastic owners, proudly showing off their new domaine. There are two gîtes. A large swimming pool, several terraces and expansive views. Our gîte is very comfortable. Spacious living room with dining kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped. Bedroom is very spacious with good mattresses. Large bathroom with two sinks. As it can be quite chilly in the evening in spring, this cottage has a wood-burning stove with hot air conditioning. It is comfortably warm then. The garden is tastefully decorated. You have your own privacy and that choice is nice. We had a lovely two weeks here and will definitely come back next year. Thank you Esther and Leo for your hospitality.
We highly recommend Maison Four à Chaux, we had a great holiday in this amazing property which was clean, very comfortable and very spacious inside and out. Lovely large heated pool and an excellent games barn which included skittles alley and table tennis. We were greeted by Yvonne who was great and very knowledgeable of the local area and was easily contactable (as were the owners) if there was any issues (which there weren't). We would definitely recommend Maison Four à Chaux.
Que dire ? Nous venons d'y passer une semaine incroyable. Dale et Lorraine ont été des hôtes exceptionnels, très accueillants et sympathiques. La propriété est située dans un endroit isolé, à la fois agricole et paisible, ce qui était exactement ce que nous recherchions pour nous aider à échapper au stress de la vie trépidante. La ferme et le gîte sont très modernes et aménagés avec goût. L'expérience de Dale en matière d'architecture est évidente, car les aménagements et la rénovation modernes sont réalisés avec beaucoup de goût et de soin. La piscine était une pause bienvenue, car nous étions là pendant une vague de chaleur, avec des températures avoisinant les 35 degrés la plupart du temps ! Nos hôtes ont tout fait pour que notre intimité soit respectée. Nous reviendrons certainement l'année prochaine et espérons faire de cette destination l'une de nos destinations les plus régulières.

Thank you so much for a wonderfully relaxing stay at your ‘Loft’. We have stayed here many times before under previous ownership, but we must say that you have moved it up several notches! The attention to detail is second to none; from the luxurious ‘The White Company’ products to all the goodies in the fridge and cupboards - very much appreciated. The terrace, garden and pool are just so peaceful that we haven’t ventured far! Most of all thank you for being there and for your wonderful company. We hope there will be many more visits to come. Avons séjourné à plusieurs reprises dans cette superbe maison, tres bien aménagée, la piscine est top et la vue à couper le souffle. Ce petit village vaut le detour.
Magnifique maison. Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour. Nous étions un grand groupe d'amis à la recherche d'un endroit pittoresque pour passer une semaine ensemble. Nous étions excités quand nous avons réservé mais comblés quand nous sommes arrivés dans la belle maison. Elle fonctionne très bien pour un grand groupe de personnes avec plusieurs zones pour s'asseoir confortablement et se détendre. Nous avons pris de délicieux dîners et petits déjeuners (cuisinés dans la cuisine bien équipée et le barbecue) sur la terrasse et la vue les a rendus encore plus magiques. Même si la maison est merveilleuse pour se détendre et jouer dans la piscine, nous avons trouvé de belles choses à faire dans les environs. Il y a un merveilleux restaurant juste à côté de la maison et du kayak et du wakeboard à environ une heure de route et de jolis villages non loin. Bref, si vous voulez un endroit qui se soit privé et pittoresque et qui soit toujours fonctionnel et confortable, c'est l'endroit idéal. Nous espérons revenir bientôt!

Très calme avec piscine en plein cœur d'un joli petit village - Jardin très bien entretenu et fleuri avec superbe vue sur la Dordogne - Décoration intérieure - Accueil sympathique - Situation géographique (30mn de Sarlat-la-Canéda ou de Domme) - La région est superbe et les activités sont nombreuses : visites de châteaux ou de villes, balades en vélo ou en canoë... Bref à recommander!
We have so enjoyed our week here in our very own secret garden. Who would imagine there would be such a magical place waiting for us, just a second from the road? After many moments of uncertainty, it has been a huge tonic to relax in the sunshine in this beautiful garden and enjoy relaxing with our daughters. We haven’t explored very much beyond the Loft, but the countryside is beautiful, the wine and food delicious and the canoeing trip exhilarating and at times a little scary! Karen and Russell are the perfect hosts - always present but never in your space. They have created a perfect holiday home - immaculate and brilliantly equipped, and the fridge and cupboards generously filled to enhance your welcome and stay. We have enjoyed hours by the perfect pool and will fondly remember our 2021 say here. Hopefully we will be back! Thank you, Karen and Russell for everything.

A Perfect Family Retreat – Exceeded Our Expectations! We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful villa and it truly exceeded our expectations. The photos on the website don’t fully capture the charm and spaciousness of this property. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. La Ferme Éclaircie is brilliantly laid out, offering plenty of open space, which was perfect for our family of five. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped, making meal preparation a breeze. Each room was spotless, tidy and provided ample storage space for all our holiday belongings. The games room was a fantastic bonus, keeping our children entertained during the occasional rainy day. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible pool. Our three boys absolutely loved it and spent hours splashing around. The gentle slope of the pool was especially helpful for our youngest, who learned to swim during this holiday - an unforgettable milestone for our family. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area, which was ideal for both daytime relaxation and evening games as we watched the sun set. The peaceful surroundings and stunning views added to the tranquility of our stay. La Ferme Éclaircie location is perfect for exploring the local area, which offers plenty of activities to keep a family like ours busy. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, this villa is a perfect choice. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Orchard Farmhouse and would have no problem recommending this beautiful house to friends and family. We liked eating on the terrace admiring the spectacular view of the Dordogne landscape. Great facilities for the children, especially in the games room. We (4 adults - 2 generations) spent a fantastic week in this super gîte. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and extremely well equipped. Outside, in the very large garden, was the lovely pool which was cleaned daily. The outside kitchen was lovely for BBQ's. There were also lots of seating areas, shaded and sunny, we were spoilt for choice. We walked to the bakery in the morning as the gîte is close to the village. The lovely owners were welcoming and helpful. Happy to recommend.

Nous louons des villas dans le sud de la France depuis plus de 20 ans et nous pouvons dire que le propriétaire de la Maison des Communes a été le meilleur hôte que nous ayons jamais eu. Des cadeaux de bienvenue très généreux aux livraisons de petit-déjeuner deux fois par semaine en passant par l'excellent repas au Pourquoi Pas, il n'aurait pas pu faire plus pour nous. La maison est idéalement située, dispose d'une belle piscine et de vélos robustes. Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir à parcourir les vignobles à vélo jusqu'à Montady, Capestang, Cazouls et aussi le long du Canal du Midi. Un endroit idéal pour un groupe d'amis en vacances prolongées. Merci beaucoup.
Nous y avons séjourné une semaine pour fêter un anniversaire. Nous avons passé un merveilleux moment et je recommande fortement la propriété. Nous espérons y retourner un jour.

Fantastic barn conversion, amazing location and wonderful facilities including a large swimming pool. Would highly recommend. The owner was super helpful throughout. The local villages have all the shops and services needed. We loved the rolling hills for jogging.
