Tourist Tax
Where applicable, Pure France is required to collect and remit local government tourism taxes on behalf of our property owners. These taxes are calculated and collected from guests at the time of booking. Pure France then remits collected taxes to the applicable tax authority on the property owners' behalf.

Location

The property is located in open countryside 15 minutes outside Limoux. Limoux has all shops, supermarket, many café bars and restaurants and a delightful central square. The town is famous for its 'Blanquette' - a serious rival for Champagne, at a fraction of the cost!

Carcassonne 40 minutes for Ryanair airport, fantastic fortified city and cultural events, restaurants and golf. Lagrasse 40 minutes is one of the most beautiful villages in France and offers spectacular scenery and a huge choice of restaurants for a memorable night out. Good shopping also.

Mediterranean beaches 75 minutes which stretch from Montpellier down to the Spanish border. Wonderful sandy beaches with tasteful entertainments and beachfront restaurants and cafés. The 'Etang de L'Ayrolle' offers some of the best windsurfing in Europe.

Wine tasting everywhere, numerous private caves and roadside vendors. Beautiful vineyards (Corbières, Minervois and Fitou) and impressive valleys and rivers.

Don't miss the Canal du Midi for walking and cycling. Lake swimming and rafting just North of Carcassonne. Enjoy the natural springs at Aix-les-Bains and treat yourself to an extravagant lunch across the Spanish border. Or venture to Barcelona (2 hours 30 minutes) for a long weekend.

Fantastic and spectacular scenery along the Côte Vermeille and the lovely beach resorts and harbour at Collioure and Banyuls.

Historic Cathar trails throughout the region.

Large wildlife park at Sigean.

'Aqualand' water park at Cap d'Agde.

We have just returned from a month in France staying at Domaine de Laure. We had a simply lovely time. Before we went, we did have some reservations about the fact that the property was attached to the owners house. We really do value privacy and experience has indicated that this can be compromised when this is the case. In fact it turned out out that we had the best of both worlds - help whenever we needed it - Pierre and Benedict were charming - and total privacy at all other times. The house is comfortable, clean and well equipped. The king size beds and English TV were a bonus. The pool was clean and well maintained. But for us, it was the location and the total peace that were particularly special - even better than the photographs. The views were beautiful and the grounds very spacious. The only intrusion was the gentle tinkling of goat bells…magic! We have no hesitation in highly recommending Domaine de Laure.

This truly is a wonderful property with friendly, welcoming hosts; it was even better in the flesh than in the pictures.

The house lacks for nothing in either charm or the quality of the finish internally and everything was provided to make our stay as comfortable as one would hope.

This was a true 'home from home' with several thoughtful little touches that made all the difference (fresh soap in the bathroom, coffee pods and bottled water if we wanted it in the kitchen to name just a few).

All of this, in combination with a fantastically picturesque and peaceful location means that we cannot recommend this property highly enough and will most definitely be back next time we visit the Languedoc, Occitanie region!
