Set on the edge of Laure Minervois, a typical Minervois village, Le Mas Clairette enjoys a convenient yet private and authentic setting. It’s around a 5-minute stroll to a local butcher, a small shop, a chemist and a post office. This is a superb location for exploring the Languedoc region of southern France, close to traditional villages, the Canal du Midi and the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage site, La Cité de Carcassonne.

This area is particularly renowned for its wine, and guests have the unique opportunity to experience it first-hand. The owner’s family-run wine estate, set within a 115-hectare domaine just 7km away, offers a complimentary cellar tours and wine-tasting alongside use of a tennis court. It’s a wonderful chance to immerse yourself in local winemaking traditions while enjoying the beauty of the Minervois landscape.

A beautiful welcoming house in a lovely part of France.
As a family of six, we had a really lovely stay at Le Mas Clairette. The interiors and furnishings were beautiful, while the outdoor space was a dream—perfect for leisurely breakfasts, relaxing together and cooling off in the lovely pool. The large indoor dining table was also ideal for sociable family meals, and our older children particularly enjoyed the snooker table and table football.
The house was a wonderful base for exploring the area. We visited Carcassonne in the evening, enjoyed a sunset walk around the castle walls, and were very grateful to our hosts for booking us a table at a restaurant. We also had a lovely day in Minerve, enjoyed walks from the house and appreciated being able to stroll into the village for fresh bread and croissants in the mornings. We also enjoyed our visits to Château Canet to play tennis.
A beautiful, welcoming house in a lovely part of France—we came home with some very happy family memories.

Perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Mas Clairette! The house is a large old stone building with bags of character. It has 4 good-sized double bedrooms and a fully stocked, rustic kitchen. There are various other rooms to accommodate all the family’s needs, with Sky tv and a library. There is also a full-sized snooker table which provided us with hours of fun. The garden is well-maintained and in the early morning you can smell the fresh lavender and rosemary when you open the shutters. The pool is the perfect place for the whole family to play and cool off.
The house is situated in a small, quaint village with access to a few shops where you can get patisserie, meats and salad items. In the next town there is a bigger Carrefour for everything you need. Victoria was the perfect host: kind and attentive and ensured that we had everything that we needed throughout our stay. The wine tour of the Canet Estate nearby was a particular highlight. We really appreciated all the wine ( red, white and rose) that was gifted to us to enjoy during our stay. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!
