The property is situated in a small country hamlet 19 minutes from Bergerac and 7 minutes from the lovely town of Issigeac.

Issigeac is one of the most atmospheric medieval villages in France. Unlike the nearby bastide towns laid out on a grid, Issigeac has a unique circular street pattern with winding lanes, half-timbered houses, stone archways, and a wonderfully preserved historic center. The village was officially recognized as a "Petite Cité de Caractère" in 2024.

The heart of Issigeac is a maze of narrow streets lined with timber-framed houses dating from the 13th–16th centuries.
