Tourist Tax
Where applicable, Pure France by Oliver's Travels is required to collect and remit local government tourism taxes on behalf of our property owners. These taxes are calculated and collected from guests at the time of booking. Pure France by Oliver's Travels then remits collected taxes to the applicable tax authority on the property owners' behalf.

Location

Located just outside Domme (1 km to the centre of the medieval village), which is listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Between Gourdon, Beynac-et-Cazenac and Sarlat-la Canéda (all within 22-25 min drive).

Several restaurants including a 3-star gastronomic restaurant, grocery shop, souvenir and gourmet shops, public garden with games for children in Domme.

The medieval bastide offers a fantastic view on the valley and sits just above one of the largest limestone cave filled of stalactites, stalagmites and an underground water pool. Take a guided tour of the bastide on the little train, discover its ancient fortified gates, its 17th Century market place and the fantastic panoramic viewpoint from the esplanade on the cliff side, 200m above the Dordogne River. Right on the historic border between Périgord and Quercy.

Further café-bar, bakery, restaurants including Thai, grocery shop, supermarket, chemist, newsagent in Cénac-et-Saint-Julien down the hill (4 km, 7 min).

Canoeing, 10 min drive.

Hot air ballooning, various local companies. Micro-lite air craft and light aircraft flights available from Sarlat - Domme aerodrome, 3 km.

La Roque-Gageac, elevated just above the South bank of the river is best known for its stunning cliff, typical troglodyte fort, Romanesque priory and gabarre tours (13 min drive).

Marqueyssac Gardens, 20 min drive. Via Ferrata.

Facing each other across the river, the imposing castles of Castelnaud and Beynac and the Gothic-Renaissance castle of Les Milandes, famous for being the home of Josephine Baker for 20 years (all within 25-30 min drive).

Sarlat-la-Canéda (20 min drive) is famous for his a medieval town centre with pedestrian streets, pavement cafés, restaurants and artisan stores.

Don’t miss the street market every Wednesday and Saturday morning.
