Mauvezin also plays host to the Summer Garlic festival which during the days exhibits sculpted garlic followed in the evening by dancing and the Miss Garlic competition! Throughout the summer there are day and evening events in the square from food tasting to antique fayres often with entertainment for the children including a fun fair, bouncy castle and disco etc

Toulouse (60 minutes) with hypermarkets, international airport and very attractive city centre pedestrian area with lovely shops and restaurants.

The Gers;

The most Westerly region of the 'Midi-Pyrénées', a vast and impressive mountain range, which can be seen from the top of the drive. The region is devoted to a agriculture, with rolling hills, shallow valleys and fields filled by turn with wheat, maize and sunflowers.

The landscape is dotted with small villages and traditional towns most with a central square 'hale' hosting market days and fetes. Most of the towns have all the amenities required, including a supermarket, pharmacy, bank, butcher, bars and restaurants. All are worth exploring and easily reached by car.
