Security Deposit: €2000 charged to client's credit card by Oliver’s Travels as a pre-authorisation at least 2 weeks prior to arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.
Prices are for the rental of the entire property, payable in GBP.
35% deposit due at the time of booking. 65% balance and refundable security bond due 12 weeks prior to arrival.
Bookings run from 4:00pm on your day of arrival to 10:00am on your day of departure.
No smoking in the property.
Bookings include electricity, water, linen and towels (including pool towels).

Tourist Tax
Where applicable, Pure France is required to collect and remit local government tourism taxes on behalf of our property owners. These taxes are calculated and collected from guests at the time of booking. Pure France then remits collected taxes to the applicable tax authority on the property owners' behalf.

Location

The property is situated in 14 hectares of private grounds in open countryside, 10 minutes from the lovely small town of Richelieu in superb Loire Valley countryside, 30 minutes to the famous, wine-producing town of Chinon and less than an hour to Saumur and Tours.

All amenities in the town; several restaurants and bars, supermarket, bakeries, butcher, twice-weekly street market and local interest / produce shops.

Saumur is one of the most charming towns in the whole region. Not too big, not too small. You'll find all amenities there and be spoilt with the choice of café bars and restaurants. Numerous cultural events and fétes during the summer. Great views from the famous château. Well-known riding school has annual shows in July.

Within easy driving distance there are châteaux, each with their own style and charm - from the medieval period through the 19th century.

Writers and painters have been inspired by the castles of the Loire, with the Château d'Ussé being one of the most famous as it was the inspiration for Charles Perrault's folk tale of Sleeping Beauty.

Chinon, its castle overlooking the Vienne and the old town make for a lovely day excursion.

The 12th century Royal Abbey of Fontevraud is where Henry II, Eleanor of Aquitaine and their son, Richard the Lionhearted, are buried.

Saumur has a 9-hole golf course and Fontevraud's 18-hole course is in a beautiful location.

Horse riding, canoeing on the Loire, tennis, biking and more are all available close by. Bike and canoe rentals are easy to arrange.

What a week at Château Richelieu, where we were fortunate enough to get married in front of 90 of our closest friends and family! To say it was an amazing experience and venue would almost be doing it a dis-service! It's hard to put down in words just how perfect our big day was at Château Richelieu. It would be very difficult to beat as a venue for a wedding and we would not have had our day anywhere else in the world. Our hosts could not have done any more for us. The support before, during and after the wedding has been above and beyond. Honestly, cannot recommend Château Richelieu highly enough and we will definitely be returning with friends / family for another visit.
