What a beautiful spot. The view from the kitchen was breathaking. It made cooking in the super well-fitted-out kitchen extra enjoyable. We had a precious weekhere with the whole family, from young to old enjoying our time together. There were delicious meals, peaceful morgning swims, mad everyone in the pool swims. We enjoyed visiting Montcuq market so much and visiting the village fair nearby. We wish we had more time here. Thank you so much for opening up your house to us and creating such a well designed beautifully decorated space for people to experience.

We have just had the most incredible holiday at Maison Jouas. The most beautiful French house in the most beautiful French landscape. The views were outstanding - the best we have found in France (we have done many holidays in French houses). The house itself has been elegantly styled and designed - everything is top quality. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with plenty of everything for a party of 13 - we never ran out of plates, glasses or cutlery! The house manager, Linda, was so helpful and always answered any queries promptly. The gardens were super and also beautifully designed and maintained. It had a boules area and a table tennis table and an amazing pizza oven - all were well used on our holiday - as was the well equipped laundry room! Definitely a 5* holiday and whoever owns this property has done an incredible job! We are already planning a return visit.

What an incredible home base! We felt so fortunate to return here every day after days spent exploring the beautiful towns of Lot and the Dordogne. We wondered whether we might find Castelnau-Montratier to be a little too quiet, but were always grateful for the respite. The house and its quiet luxury hiding behind the unassuming little gate was a constant surprise to us and we loved every minute. Many thanks to Barbara for quickly responding to our every query. We are already wondering when we'll return!
