We had a lovely time.
What a fabulous villa! Such a homely feel and well enjoyed for cooking and for the children who loved all the toys, games and the pool of course!
We also appreciated the fantastic village shop and the proximity to horse riding at Bel Air.
Had a delicious meal at La Commanderie in Le Temple sur Lot - great service + top menu + the kids loved playing in the gardens. Merci beaucoup!

The Goddings / Browns - 15th August – 22nd August
We have really enjoyed our stay in your fabulous home, the decor and attention to detail is beautiful!
The house has everything we needed and we loved eating out and whiling away the evenings on the covered terrace.
Such a relaxing week, waking up to peace and quiet, basking by the pool in the day and playing table tennis and pétanque as the heat of the day subsided.
Fun evening at Laparade night market Tuesday, Great lunch in Eymet at the creperie in the Square on Thursday after the Market.
For the last night we were away sampling the fantastic confit de canard from Mme. Bessagnet at Haute-Vignes just up the road. We really hope we can return one day soon! A very memorable week, Great lunch in Eymet at the creperie in the Square on Thursday after the market.

We have had the best holiday enjoying the beautiful house and pool.
The kids loved all the outdoor toys as well.
Would recommend the night market at Laparade and the restaurant in Castelmoron.

What an incredible place!
We have spent a glorious week in this beautiful house. Without a doubt the best place we have ever stayed in France – we loved the pool where the kids spent hours playing and the terrace for big lunches, games and beautiful evenings.
We had some lovely trips out to Nérac, Laparade and Monflanquin.
Thank you for such a comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing place to spend our holiday.

The Macleods - 20th June – 27th June 2026
We have had the most wonderful time in this lovely home. We all lead very busy lives and wanted a relaxing break, and this did just that. We all feel very relaxed after spending lots of hours by the pool. Even though it has been an extreme heatwave this week the pool has been a lifesaver!
We enjoyed the market at Eymet on Thursday morning, and would recommend the Chez Marcel in Issigeac for some excellent French food, lovely by the canal. Mark has been super helpful when we’ve needed his help with any questions.

McNeill Families - 23rd May – 30th May 2026
Our second year and every bit as enjoyable as our last holiday. Thank you so much for providing us with such a beautiful house and the garden and pool. The roses are quite magnificent (I am green with envy!) and the jasmine and clematis all being out at the same time – like a Chelsea Flower garden! We were very excited to see Hoopoe several times and to hear the Blackcap and several others.
We’ve had such a lovely holiday with sun every day and couldn’t have asked for more.

Great stay in your wonderful home. Enjoyed exploring the area including Nerac and its chateau museum. Good lunch at Le Vert Gentil next to the river in Nerac. Loved the lily gardens at Temple Sur Lot and managed to get a table for lunch without booking. Beautiful setting and pretty good food too! Night market here (last of the season) was great fun and amazing setting overlooking the lot valley. Janet and Mark you’ve been great hosts and really helpful. Thank you.

We all had an amazing time here this week, this house is gorgeous with an amazing pool, fantastic views. We had amazing times at Les Chapoux taking in the beautiful buildings and all the nice restaurants. The hosts were welcoming and gave us a lovely tour of the house. We spent countless hours by the pool soaking in the sun. Thank you so much for this lovely stay.

What an amazing 2 weeks, it went far too quick. The most perfect accommodation. Scenery, weather, could not fault anything.
Amazing days out at the Aquaparc in Castelnaudary (excellent value for money). Villeneuve-sur-Lot is worth a visit for some shopping and excellent food at Terminus de la Cale with amazing views of the river.
Lacapelle night market is a great experience (try and get there by 5:30pm for parking). Go karting at K47 near Agen is perfect if the weather is a bit mixed. Otherwise just relax at the house. We definitely hope to be back.

We absolutely loved being here. The home you’ve created is a beautiful entity, with such thought at every turn, and the surrounding gardens have a tremendous sense of peace. Thank you for all the well-planned details, and the delicious tart that awaited us (and therefore an introduction to the most incredible boulangerie!). We leave with a filled-up nourishment, and hope we can come back.

Les Chapoux is truly a terrific holiday destination, the property is located in a lovely area and it is easy to access local towns and villages with supermarkets in easy reach. As to the property it is charming, there is plenty of room with comfortable beds and all the amenities you could need. The pool is great and the 3 generations of our family spent many an hour in and around it. The owners are very helpful and made us feel most welcome. Definitely one to visit.

3 generations of Phillipsons
We have all had a superb week. What a beautiful house and surroundings. Huge fun in the pool, long evenings on the stunning terrace watching the sun go down. Complete relaxation for us all.
Younger folk tried the Pirate experience and really enjoyed it. We all went to Laparade - a huge open food festival, a sea of tables on the remparts (take your own cloth and plastic beakers!) and great music.
A truly magical week we will all treasure. X

The Frosts
What a stunning location. We have had a wonderful week and extremely sad to be leaving this idyllic spot. The house is incredibly well appointed and kitted out with everything we could possibly have needed. We spent the week relaxing and fitting in the odd wine tasting, horse ridding lessons for our two girls and visiting the brilliant goat farm! Thank you so much for the incredible stay!

The Marini party
Wonderful time in a wonderful house. So peaceful here. The house had everything we could possibly want and more besides (including a visiting woodpecker). Laparade night market was a highlight. The restaurant there is pretty fabulous too. We spent loong days by the pool and long evenings on the terrace.
Frédérique and Hélène at the shop provided all we needed including homemade lasagne.
And Olivia couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you, Mark and Janet.

Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful house - we have all enjoyed the beautiful home and gardens and all the attention to detail. We very much enjoyed the night market in Laparade although not really a market but more a fiesta! Very much recommend.

Two weeks of idyllic bliss in the rolling French countryside with superb weather to atch. As a family young and old, we enjoyed the stunning house, garden, pool and views.
To agree with the previous guests, Laparade is the place to be on a Tuesday evening.
Days spent at Biscarosse beach and lakeside both worth the journey.
Would also highly recommend in house beauty treatments. We had massages and facials. Fantastic. Just ask Olivia.

The Steel party
Fabulous house, beautifully decorated with everything we could possibly need for a lovely holiday. The pool and pool toys were a great hit with our 4 year old. We have holidayed numerous times in France and this was by far the best, from the welcoming email to the comfy beds and linen. Mark and Janet have made this a beautiful holiday home. We had a hot week and made the most of being at home! Thank you for a lovely stay!
P.S. The Tuesday night market in Laparade was fun and definitely worth a visit! Our daughter loved her bedroom + the toys kept her occupied in the morning!
