The property is located off a single track lane surrounded by beautiful countryside and vineyards, midway between Aubignan and Caromb, 20 minutes from Avignon and 15 minutes from Orange.

Caromb, (2 minutes drive, 3 km) has a bakery, two grocery stores, restaurants (inc brasserie and pizzeria), café bars, bank with cash machine, pharmacy, newsagent and very pretty town square. Several wine outlets and vendors of local produce including olive oil.

Aubignan, 4 km has a similar range of excellent amenities.

Many excellent restaurants in nearby villages of Le Barroux (5 minutes) and Malaucène (10 minutes).

Carpentras, 10 minutes is a bigger town with many shops and superb, traditional street market. Huge choice of restaurants and café bars etc.

Cultural sites and events continue throughout the summer in Orange and Avignon, both places not to be missed. Orange with its famous amphitheatre and nearby vineyards of the Côtes-du-Rhône. Avignon with the half bridge and Pope's Palace. Great shopping and old winding streets.

The lovely Camargue National Park lies close by. You really will see black bulls, pink flamingos and white horses. Many horse and pony-trekking ranches and great choice of Mediterranean beaches.

The Camargue and the fabulous beaches on the South coast are all within easy driving distance.

McAllisterm family
We had the most wonderful week at Les Rocans last week. Please would you pass this on to the owners. We have stayed in France annually, and many times in between, over the past 45 years and Les Rocans beats them all for outlook, atmosphere, amenities, beauty and suitability for our growing family. We all just loved it!

Fabulous views, kayaking, la grand ascent de Ventoux. Everything a very relaxing fortnight in Provence should be. Sadly the real world beckons. Thank you.

What a fantastic area and what a gorgeous house - and the view! Can we come again? Love the local wines.

A very belated note to say thanks very much for your help in making our stay in Les Rocans go smoothly. We had a great time and loved how relaxed it was. We were considering rebooking for next year however Mum has just announced she will be taking a larger place to celebrate her 70th in next summer, so the good news is she will pick up the bill (!) but the bad news is we can't stay with you again next year. We will however certainly bear Les Rocans in mind for the future as we had a thoroughly relaxing time.

Coleman family - UK
The family and I had a lovely stay at your house, Les Rocans. Your house, Les Rocans, has obviously been the subject of careful and loving restoration in many parts and it was lovely to stay there. The location is stunning, one could not tire of the views from the hillside. During our stay the weather was blistering hot sun and maximum temperatures around 36-38 degrees C. However, the breeze coming up the hill tempered the heat to make it quite tolerable. The trees you have carefully left near the swimming pool gave really good shade; it was my favourite lounging place. The swimming pool was so enjoyable, especially in the heat. Water temperature was the same as the heated pool in our local Virgin Active gym complex, occasionally higher, so our 4 year old grandson spent large amounts of time in the pool. Again, a lot of thought has clearly been given to the siting of the pool. There is a lot to do and see in the surrounding countryside. Our regret is we didn't get out as much as anticipated as the heat was a little too much away from Les Rocans. The few trips we did make showed how picturesque that part of France remains, especially around Sablet/Seguret/Vaison. Definitely we shall explore more next time, perhaps at a quieter time of year. Kevin, thank you for providing a place which gave us all much enjoyment for our weeks stay. The whole family wished they could have stayed longer. We did our best to cherish your house as you so obviously do.

Katherine (Wirral, UK)

As we leave les rocans, I must say that you have a beautiful house. We have enjoyed our stay immensely. Loved the country decor and the views. We will remember the stay there and will recommend it to our circle of friends.

We have had the most wonderful time in your lovely house, it feels incredibly homely and I can see why it is your pride and joy.

Pearce family
We are all having the most idyllic time here in your beautiful home - it is just perfect and so beautifully and tastefully presented - the weather is incredible and the pool in full use - we have visited Ilsle sur la Sourgue, Châteauneuf du Pap and the surrounding villages which are all charming - so all very well!

Willems family
We really enjoyed our stay in your house and wished we could have had more time. We spent most of our time in the garden, under the oak tree or at the swimming pool. The evenings are absolutely marvellous with the typical Provence colours and smells. It must be a great place also to spend some time in the winter. At that time it will be probably more time spend inside the house which is beautiful as well and very nice decorated.

We've had a blissful week here. The house is beautifully and very stylishly renovated and is extremely comfortable and easy to live in. The surrounding environment is stunning. We've loved picking fresh figs straight from the tree breakfast and getting to know the local wines.
