Cottage du Jardin is beautifully kept and has a gorgeous interior, but what really impressed us was it's tranquil location within the owners grounds and the peaceful location of the swimming pool where one can laze of a sunny afternoon or two. The cottage is approximately a 5-10 minute walk into the local village where there is a little shop selling everything to cater for your needs and a hotel restaurant that serve lovely meals at a very reasonable price. This must be tried at least once during your visit. If you fancy a larger shop there are two large supermarkets within a 10 minute drive on the road to Montignac. Montignac is a beautiful town with lovely riverside restaurants. The cottage is ideally located to visit the local sights, whether it be a château such as the local Château de Losse or Château Les Milandes with its beautiful gardens, or pretty towns and villages, our particular favourites being Saint Leon, La Roque Gageac and Domme. Beautiful blue skies every day with temperatures hitting 36 degrees one day. This gave us a perfect excuse to spend some days lounging around by the pool and recharging in the stunning surroundings. So to sum up, with a combination of the cottage, the weather and the perfect hosts we had an amazing week and left feeling pretty sad. However, we know that we will be visiting again, for longer next time as there was still quite a lot we didn't get to see in this beautiful part of France. It was honestly one of the best holidays we have ever had. Thank you so much, until the next time.

The gîte located in a beautiful part of unspoilt France, great for exploring near by villages / towns holding day and evening markets, driving through vineyards, so peaceful and yet great roads to explore Sarlat, Domme and others alongside Dordogne river. The gîte is extremely well equipped, downstairs is like home from home. Outside is delightful, pool idyllic with a selection of seating areas in and out of shade, the outside cooking area was the 'icing on the cake'. The owners are wonderful hosts.

Your attention to detail from the information provided before our stay to the provisions you provided in the Loft to your availability during our stay have been second to none. Also, the thoughtful and pragmatic precautions you have taken in light of Covid-19 served to put our minds at ease and helped us to thoroughly enjoy our time in this wonderful part of France. Perfect Visit in Every Way. We have just returned from our time at Chateau Bourgogne, and I am struggling for words to adequately describe our visit. Of course, when you have planned accommodations in a structure begun in the 1100s, you are a little concerned on the modern conveniences on which one is now dependent. Put those fears at rest! The Castle has been carefully and thoughtfully updated and our stay could not have been more pleasant. The rooms, linens and private areas are all very comfortable. The baths have been updated and easily accommodate a large party. We used the kitchen often to deliver every type and level of meal – from a quick nosh – to a five-course delight. The Great Room is my favorite with a fire place large enough to walk in and efficient enough to keep all comfortable. There is a Bluetooth enabled speaker system for that added touch as you relax, and Wi-Fi to stay in touch with the outside world. We were close to other towns and day trips were easy and fun! My only complaint is that it was too cool to use the lovely pool or sit at the table at the front entry and admire what must be beautiful flowering vines that grace the entry – but we were graced with snow which was magical! We can’t wait to return!

Wonderful stay in a wonderful villa. Ideal base to explore this beautiful part of France. Spent most evenings on the patio enjoying the sunset. Would definitely stay again when return this area.
I stayed in Château Bellevue with my family and some friends last Summer. It was magical, right from the moment we drove up the drive and I passed the swimming pool and saw the house, I couldn't wait to explore the château and its gardens. I stayed in one of the 'children's rooms' on the upper floor, which are beautiful rooms with lots of books to read. I spent my days playing with my friends in the grounds, we particularly liked laying in the shade under the old oak trees chatting and in the evening we loved playing one of the many of the board games. The beach, mountains and pretty little villages are close by and beautiful.
Thank you so much for our stay it was amazing. This is one of my favourite places in the world, just sitting by the field for hours on end listening and then coming back to play a family game of monopoly. Thank you again and we need to come back.
Visiting Le Mas Pouget was like releasing a long exhalation of breath and with it, the stresses of day-to-day life. The house, as mentioned in the other review here, is indescribable. It is an oasis of cool and calm, in a basin of trees and regional wildlife, which soothes the soul. It is a stunning part of the planet and felt like a special, secret place that remains unspoiled. The accommodation is fantastic. Quirky and comfortable, with many social spaces to enjoy your party's company as well as quiet places to escape to when you need time alone. We were seven adults and two children (aged 2 and 7) and all got along famously over the course of our 10 days, thanks to the space provided. Frederic, Virginie and Laure literally could not have been more helpful. We had all manner of questions and they were incredibly receptive and responsive, helping us with any queries and genuinely friendly with it. We think everybody needs this place/space in their lives ;-) Thank you for a wonderful and very memorable holiday.

This is an exquisite residence with exceptional attention to detail. We were warmly greeted by the housekeeper, who generously shared her local knowledge and recommendations. The restaurants in Bergerac (Le Patio) and Pessac (Le Pessaguin) were fantastic - be sure to try the foie gras and other traditional dishes of French cuisine. Le Patio serves very generous portions so come hungry! We thoroughly enjoyed visits to Château Carbonneau, Saint Émilion, Bergerac and Ste Foy La Grande, especially the Saturday market in Ste Foy. Driving through the vineyards on the scenic local roads provided a truly bucolic experience. For wine lovers, perking right in front of the modest Château Pétrus - producer of one of the most prestigious (and pricey) wines - was a memorable moment.
We had a brilliant holiday and I enjoyed the trampoline. House was brilliant for hide and seek.

We enjoyed the beautiful nature, the lovely places nearby and the refreshing pool/ The house is very well equipped and has a the most amazing view! Thank you so very much Benjy, Kate and Issy for welcoming us to the property. We have had the most heavenly week here and we leave feeling thoroughly relaxed. The lands, vineyards and pool are all spectacular and a fabulous location for a group of friends. The weather has been glorious and to be honest, it has been quite difficult to drag ourselves away from the house and pool… However, we did venture to Fontevraud (which we loved), and we discovered a couple of the local markets. We were very grateful for the small touches that made our stay special – the beautiful turn of the winery, the supplies of food (and drinks!) and the comfy beds and copious linen and towels. We also enjoyed cooking on the Aga – risotto, roast chicken etc. Delicious food to accompany your STUNNING wine! We very much hope to return one day.
Such a beautiful and luxurious home. a perfect layout, wonderful pol and relaxation area. We spent 10 days playing golf, as such it was perfect. The holiday home had eveything we needed and more and particularly liked the artwork. Thank you once again.
We had a lovely stay. so tranquil, with a view of the Dordogne river. Lovely enclosed courtyard garden, ideal for al fresco dining and BBQ. We enjoyed sitting by the pool watching the birds in the trees and popping in and out of holes in the wall. Not too far from some of the hot spots such as Sarlat, Domme and La Roque-Gageac, so we could enjoy a day out but still manage to get back to the peace and quiet of Maison Bourg Calès to relax.
A magnificent, relaxing week spent at Le Chanlie. A soulful, aspirational property where you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of this south western region. The pool, the dining area - all wonderful for a family week away! The history and love poured into this house is felt throughout…
We have really enjoyed our holiday at La Maison Cabanon. It has been very quiet yet near enough to town, just perfect for a family holiday. We have been blessed with great weather and the kids really enjoyed the pool and being together in the bunkbed room. The facilities in the house are of a much higher standard than usual villas. A real home from home.
We have had a truly marvellous time - it has all gone so quickly. We really enjoyed your company and your beautiful property. Very much looking forward to returning this time next year.

Excellent. We had a very good stay. The villa is very well equipped, dishes, utensils, everything is present. An exceptional panoramic view of the vineyards from the house and the swimming pool. Warm welcome on our arrival and guaranteed rest in the middle of the vineyards.
We are now thinking of our next visit! We have so enjoyed a wonderful 'family' week in this fascinating, confortable and well-appointed house, in an idylic situation. The young ones appreciating all the sporting and games equipment, the eldest, the peace and tranquility.
Wow what a fab house! We had a brill time chilling in the garden and visiting local toddler friendly places... Would highly recommend the following:- Monkey village, paddling at Villefagnan and Cognac visit. We spotted red squirrels in the garden. The welcome pack is the best and most comprehensive we have every had and was so appreciated. Thank you! We would love to come again some time!
