Beautiful surroundings. The accommodation met our expectations. A very warm welcome. Jayne and Wendy are very kind and friendly. They gave us a good introduction to the house and provided us with all the practical information we needed for our stay. A very successful vacation.
Our party of 10 (6 adults, 4 children) had a great week at this property, There was plenty of space for everyone and the property looked exactly as pictured. The house stayed cooler than expected during the 40 degree temperatures (due to the very thick stone walls and roof, no doubt) and the pool was wonderful. Our contact Florence met us on arrival to show us everything and was available to answer questions during the week. We enjoyed the Sainte-Geniès market and explored Sarlat-la-Canéda.
Thank you both not only for your very warm welcome but also your kindness during our stay. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we wish you a happy holiday in Spain.

Magnificent and original old castle. The pool is fantastic, the kids loved the inflatables. Nice area and lounge chairs around the pool. The kids also enjoyed having the upstairs as their own space.

This is the easiest and most satisfying review we've ever written. Quite simply, Mark and Gary are two of the warmest and thoughtful people we have ever met and they have created the most wonderful home in the perfect rural location that it almost seems too good to be true... but it isn't. Everything about La Charmante Distillerie encourages you to unwind and relax... whether it be the sumptuous and luxurious interior spaces, the pool and adjoining terraces giving shade and privacy or the surrounding woodland and rustle of the leaves on trees in the gentle cooling breeze. Early mornings and evenings were our particular favourite as we would just sit and listen to the silence whilst enjoying an espresso or cold Pineau. It was truly idyllic. Our daughters, aged 12 and 14 years old, were so happy playing in the pool for hours or relaxing on the terraces and in their own private snug that has been beautifully created. We would love to keep La Charmante Distillerie as our own little secret and not share it with anybody, but of course we can't. So regretfully we have to tell anybody that asks that we have found the perfect destination with the perfect hosts. C'est magnifique.

Thank you so much for our lovely relaxing stay in your home. We have waited a couple of years due to covid and our boys (and ourselves) really enjoyed our stay. You made us feel so welcome and we have very muh enjoyed spending time in your garden watching regular visitors like woodpeckers, buzzards and barn owls, etc. We are already planning to come back and promise to visit more of the region. In a word - spectacular. Where does one even begin in describing what a wonderful home. In a word - spectacular! We have stayed in approximately 40 homes over the years and few have even come close to the level of excellence we experienced. The house is beautiful inside and out and no detail has been overlooked. The beds are very comfortable and the linens and towels are lovely. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare all your meals. The patio, gardens and pool are tranquil and relaxing. As far as cleanliness, the home is absolutely spotless. The pictures are very true to the location but what they lack is the warmth and kindness you will be greeted with when you meet the owners. We highly recommend.
Sure we had a very good time in this property, may be next year we can program a new visit to this very nice place.

Thank you to Pure France for the prompt, polite and easy booking process, to the owners of Manoir Coutenson for allowing us to rent the property and also to David, the property manager who greeted us on arrival and was so helpful. Our family of 15 (aged between 1 - 64) have just enjoyed a fabulous week at this wonderful property. It is the most well equipped place we have ever stayed and all the extra touches (including small children's toys and books) ensured a relaxed and easy break for the whole family. We would unreservedly recommend the Manoir to any family group. Thanks again.
We were a group of 7 adults and have had the most fabulous week in your villa. It is so unusual for a villa to work on every level, but yours really did. So much space – and so very well thought through with absolutely everything you might need supplied. And yes – far better than the pictures suggested. We greatly appreciated the cheese + wine on arrival – the bread + pâté through the week – and of course the meal at La Tour, which was just amazing! We made good use of the bikes (coldly wet!) and made our way to Montady a few times (a lovely ride on the cycle path). We visited Béziers, Carcassonne + Minerve – but most importantly – we were able to relax + chat and laugh! Thank you Philippe. What a great week.

It's true, the villa and the pool are much more beautiful 'live' than on the pictures. We felt very comfortable in your great villa and it was a great pleasure to meet you. We had a great holiday at Maison D'Aze, this is certainly one of the best houses we have stayed in over the numerous years we have holidayed in France and we will certainly be looking to book the property for future holidays.

Wonderful house in a small willage, two steps away from all amenities you may need during your stay. Air conditioning is a must, so is the pool which offers a perfect privacy. The summer kitchen is very appreciable. Linda is also available and very kind. I 100% validate. Thanks for all. Mélanie
A wonderful first week to our holidays. The house is wonderfully renovated and has everything a family can wish! We also had the chance of a very warm weather which gave us plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great terrace and had al fresco dining every day. What a most wonderful place to stay. We were with a group of great friends. Didn't know what to expect... but Château Entre-Deux-Mers was mind blowing! The owner had been informing us correctly with all the necessary information we needed in advance. We have enjoyed the beautiful decorated château from the beginning till the end. It is the proof of how a classical building can be reinvented by a good decorator. The kitchen, dining room, living room and all the rooms with their bathrooms were beautiful. The dinner and the breakfast we ordered, were delicious. And the service was elegant and discrete. A true recommendation to go again!
Thank-you, Jean and Martin, for a fabulous two week stay in your lovely gîte. We had everything we needed to make it a very special relaxing holiday. The outdoor BBQ area has been put to great use! We have enjoyed many evenings outside drinking and eating. It was great having your input for ideas and suggestions for things to do and places to visit. The pool is perfect and we have enjoyed using the lovely gazebo area. The garden is a beautiful retreat in which to fully unwind and enjoy the abundant birdlife, especially first thing in the morning. We have really enjoyed watching the wood pecker, especially gathering food for the offspring! Lauzun provided the perfect location to start our many heavenly bike rides and to explore the fascinating bastide towns of Issigeac, Villereal and Eymet. We also visited the prehistoric cave-Grotte de Font Gaume and highly recommend, (pre-book tickets online). We look forward to coming back soon and seeing you again.
A fabulous setting for our family gathering. Some of us were here for two weeks some for one. We all enjoyed it thoroughly, the swimming pool was so restful, it was great for keeping cool, the children loved it. The outside seating being undercover was great as we ate out every night, we were able to watch an amazing lighting show one evening. The beds were very comfy, fans in the room was a real plus as the nights were hot, lots of bathrooms for a big group was also a plus. Some of us had been here a few years ago and it didn't disappoint, we would love to come back again, we loved your well stocked and very clean home
What a remarkable project this house has bee ! Spacious and comfortable with fantastic garden and pool. We enjoyed visiting Bordeilles Castle and beautiful river, plus Brantome and paddle-boarding. We loved the market in Riberac, but the best of all was being here. So sad to leave !

We loved it here so much in 2022, we came back for 2024. Another fantastic stay - the villa is as special as we remembered it. More places discovered, more wine tasted and more memories made. Sete and Montpellier for this visit were a big hit. Kayaking down the Orb from Reals a family highlight. We will be back for a hat trick of visits as we love this villa!
We had a great time. The villa was fantastic and just as described. The concierge Sarah was tremendous and did so much to make our stay enjoyable answering all our questions and arranging a caterer one night. The whole experience was really excellent and we would happily use Oliver's Travels and this villa again.
