Two splendid weeks relaxing and sight seeing with a very beautiful home to come back too. We can't fault the house, we especially loved the kitchen, pool room, swimming pool and of course the marvellous views.

We had a lovely time at your house, we really like Pézenas and the surrounding area. The house itself was superb and very well equipped, we and our 18, 20 and 21 year old children were very happy. Being able to enjoy the shops and restaurants in Pézenas then wander back to the tranquillity of the house made for a great holiday.
Glorious sunshine for us all week. We've had a lovely time exploring. The children pretended to be Rapunzel at Maison Baleyssagues and had a wonderful day the Lac de Lougratte. I jogged in and out of the grape wines, which was surprisingly exhausting. We all had too many croissants? Thank you for a terrific week in gorgeous setting.
I wanted to mention that we were delighted with our stay from August 5 to 12 with this very cordial and motivated winegrower. The house is beautiful, the property very calm, it has many walks and a nice swimming pool.
Great villa, fantastic weather, good location. The children enjoyed the pool and nana enjoyed the shade of the willow! Lovely beaches like home in Cornwall, if only we had the weather! The jet skiing was awesome and kids caught a squid rock pooling, along with many crabs.
Superb property tastefully renovated. Old-world charm and modern comfort. The owners take great care and the satellites of Saint-Émilion are within reach.

This is an idyllic luxury dream. A tranquil abode where resistance against rest and relaxation is futile. Welcoming in 2022 with Kate, Frans, their family and friends felt like home away from home with immediate family. They have created a home where you can freely engage in the beauty of this corner of France in an easthetic space curated to the highest level. We could class them as more than 'friends' - and definitely as 'MTFS'. The only antidote to departing is to plot the return and this has already begun.
We have had a a relaxing week in this lovely gite. Madeline and Alan are great hosts. Respect your space but on hand for advice, local knowledge and a chat. We enjoyed kayaking on the Lot, exploring the local area on our bikes and enjoyed using the lovely pool each day (our son's favourite part!). We loved our visit to the Latour-Marliac for a great lunch and a lovely walk around the gardens and amazing water lilies. On our last night we had a great meal in the fish restaurant 'Blue Marine', Villeneuve-sur-Lot. We also had a nice meal in the week at 'La Commonderie' at Temple-sur-Lot. A great holiday. Thank you. Lovely house in nice authentic village. We really enjoyed staying in this house in Nissan. We especially loved the pool area and the terrace where we spent most of our time when we weren't out exploring the area. It's in a perfect location within a few minutes' walk from the town square with bars and a couple of pizza restaurants. There is a market 3 times a week, which we also really enjoyed. Paul who met us on arrival and was available throughout our stay for any questions is a really nice guy who speaks good English. It's within easy driving distance of Narbonne, Montpellier and Béziers and about 20 minutes from the beach. You can tell that this is a well-loved house by friendly owners Terry and Carol and we would recommend this house to anyone seeking an authentic French experience in comfortable surroundings.
The house worked very well for our 3-generation family of 5 adults and 2 children. The bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the lounge area is capacious, with a good tv and sound system. All the windows are protected by screens to keep the mosquitoes out. At the back of the house is a useful room with a washing machine and a large outside clothes line. The pool was excellent. The adults used it to cool down, the children played safely and grew in confidence in the water (with the reassurance of a pool alarm.) We had a 2-year-old with us, who mostly paddled in the shallow section. Shade was always available somewhere in the garden, either from trees or the canopy on the sun terrace. The garden is totally private, with a wooded hill to the left. We ate outside in the evenings, using spray and candles to repel the mosquitoes which seemed to be attracted to pale English people. The villa is very well located for visiting Cassis, Marseille and Aix. We also travelled to Arles, Avignon, Les Baux and Nice. The lake at Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon provided a swimming opportunity and some of us visited the waterfall at Sillans-la-Cascade near the beautiful village of Cotignac. We can recommend a boat trip to see the Calanques from the harbour in Cassis and La Ciotat is lovely. We mostly used a supermarket 10 minutes away by car in Greasque, which also has a good boulangerie. We found excellent cafes in Fuveau (Caribou) and La Bouillabaisse (The Coffee House). Aubagne has a large ‘out-of-town’ complex with a massive Auchan and a range of chain restaurants. We found a very good pizza van in Gréasque (although they do move around so Google Maps was not reliable). We were welcomed on arrival by Juliette, who also returned to clean the pool half way through our stay and to collect the keys when we left. She was very helpful in recommending places to visit.
A lovely family week in this perfect house in an idyllic situation on the edge of the charming village of Cucugnan. The house is well-equipped and the pool is fabulous! The barbecue and table-tennis also much appreciated. The house is a short walk into the village where we visited two bars and an excellent family -run restaurant (Auberge du Vigneron). Also enjoyed ‘Burger Friday’ at the bar. The village shop has all the basics. We also did a ‘degustation’ (wine-tasting) in the village and visited two of the nearby fascinating Cathar Castles – there is plenty to do in the area but the house is also perfect for relaxing. We will be back!

We have enjoyed our stay at Villa Lavinière, more a home than a rental! A trip to Grasse. A lunch in Minerve (superb crêperie). Abbey Fontfroide and lunch in the restaurant but you need to book. Carcassonne old town. Don't miss 'le petit train' and the canal du midi and the indoor market. Restaurant in Feline-Minervois. Olonzac market on Tuesday morning. A swim in the pool everyday. Looking at the night sky. Just laying on the poolside sun beds. Thank you for letting us share your home.
Thank you for a lovely stay. The house is so comfortable and a great base to explore the region from. Highlights were Dinan, Le Mont-Saint-Michel and Faugères. We also loved driving through the countryside. The boulangerie in Bazouges-la-Pérouse was fantastic! We loved the welcome basket - it was such a thoughtful + helpful gift. Everything you would need is provided for a perfect stay in this part of southern France. A range of seating areas throughout the garden and the pool were delightful. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable The hosts were charming, friendly and helpful, but very discrete.
Lovely house, fab pool and great location! First time to Sarlat and lots to see and do. House is lovely, walking distance to the centre of Sarlat. The pool is amazing and much needed in 35°c heat. Would definitely recommend.
With grateful thanks for a very relaxing week in your lovely house. We really enjoyed the beautiful views and surrounding countryside; the sunsets were amazing. The weather was very kind to us with soaring temperatures, dips in the pool were most welcome.
The pool really is warm! Yes the pool really is that warm and the view really is that good. A short term home rather than a place to stay, just lovely. We hope to see you again and send our very best wishes.
We spent a week here with extended family and loved it. The house was beautifully decorated and well kitted out. The kids particularly loved the pool which was secure so the adults could relax knowing the kids couldn’t get into it alone. Bedrooms all very spacious and comfortable. The location is great too. Monsegur is a lovely little town with a couple of great boulangeries and really good restaurants and nightlife.
Wow! What a week, went so fast but was a truly special. The chateau is so grand with secrets to be found all around. Paul, Julie and Steven were amazing, taking us fishing and ensuring we had all we needed! I will miss this place and already want to come back!! Thank you!!
Amazing villa, amazing view, stunning accommodation. We had an amazing 7 days stay. The house is walking distance from the village where a train can take you straight to Cannes, with top interior design and great level of service. The cleaning lady came twice a week and the garden and pool was serviced once a week. All that 30 minutes from Nice airport and top 4 golf courses. We loved it.
