We went as four couples to spend New Year's Eve and it was sensational. The house is very welcoming and comfortable. 4 bedrooms with their bathroom. The combined kitchen-dining-room-livingroom is wide, comfortable and functional. The Perfect heating. The hostess responded almost immediately to the inquiries we made. The town is also very small and quiet. A highly recommended place.
We have had the most relaxing Fantastic, self indulged weeks stay here. Thank you so much for letting us stay in this beautiful place. We will definitely be coming again and bringing our chidren and their partners.
Very nice accommodation. Host is very friendly. Maison Joigneaux is a perfect place to stay when visiting the region. We couldn't have wished for a better place to spend our extended weekend with friends.
We have all loved our stay here. Wish we had booked 2 weeks. Very traditional but you have provided all the modern amenities needed, with out compromising that gîte feeling. Hope to return. enjoyed afternoons in the pool and watching the amazing sunset from the driveway. Enjoyed the live entertainment in the square of Verteillac outside Le Calice bar. Must visit the beautiful town of Brantôme.
We have absolutely loved our stay here. The house, the pool, the garden, the position and the privacy are all spot on. Lisa and Wayne have been great - helpful and discreet at the same time. Many thanks and look forward to a future visit.

A lovely five weeks with nice warm weather. We had several guests from family and friends and everyone was very impressed by the house and garden and the extra advantage of having everything (shops, attractions) nearby. Lovely house and garden and pool.

What an amazing week we have spent in your villa! We visited to celebrate Shona’s 60th birthday and it was the absolute perfect spot. We have had an amazing week here: sunning by the pool, reading in the wicker chairs, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, BBQing in the outdoor kitchen and drinking wine just about everywhere!! The villa is very well equipped with every kitchen supply you’d need, ample fridge space, excellent Wi-Fi throughout, fabulous pool and spacious bedrooms. Philippe was a wonderful host – helpful and quick replies to any questions. We loved our two breakfast supply drops, especially the personalised loaves and ginger cake! Thank you for arranging a wonderful dinner at La Tour in Montady and a lovely wine tasting at Saint-Chinian. Also the weather updates were helpful. Our family dog Ivy also had a lovely week here with lots of space for her to run around. Think the cats mentioned in previous entries wisely were more distant during her stay!! Thank you again for everything and we are already thinking about coming back!

A three-generation family holiday has been thoroughly enjoyed here at Fontalbe. Sitting under the wisteria Trees was a favourite spot for breakfast, reading, watercolour painting etc. the pool has been fantastic for six grandchildren who have had hours of fun and laughter, the sun loungers have been well used too. So much wildlife – demoiselles, butterflies, dragonflies, lizards, a toad plus fish and crayfish in the stream.
We had a great time and even got some good weather at the end of the week. Thanks very much for letting us stay - it's a very special place.

We were with the family, the house is perfect for that. The bedding of the beds are recent and comfortable. Nothing was missing for our comfort. Fans in every room. Everything was very clean. The house is gigantic but the real plus is the garden and the pool! Large grassy area to play ball, petanque, ping-pong table, vegetable garden... and the huge swimming pool. Many deckchairs and garden armchairs, barbeque, plancha, shade in short all is perfect! Eva and her adorable friend, do not hesitate to ask her for a good address for a restaurant! I recommend.
Thank you for sharing your fantastic home with us. Perfect location and layout of the house, with a great outside bathing area to watch the sunsets with a glass of wine. Laprade not to be missed. If you are prepared to drive a little further Issigeac (Noth East of Eymet) worth a visit with a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants. Big thanks to Olivia, always on hand to help. One week was not long enough. Fabulous house - didn't want to leave. Visit Pézenas, just wonderful and great shopping.
We have had a fantastic stay in this fabulous property and wanted to say how much we loved The Loft! It was everything we had expected and more; it is fantastically equipped and we wanted for nothing. Karen and Russell are excellent hosts and we hope to stay here again in the future. 5 stars are simply not sufficient when it comes to a review of this outstanding gite. A truly fabulous week starting with a warm welcome (and delicious cognac cocktail) from Mark and Gary and then the luxurious surroundings which we adored, 7 days of absolute luxury and a credit to the wonderful hosts who made our stay that extra bit special. Attention to detail is exemplary, everything you could possibly need is provided (from whisked milk for the perfect coffee and an air fryer to the hairdryers and divine smelling body wash and in the waterfall showers). The welcome hamper was a delight and Mark and Gary were the perfect hosts with excellent recommendations for dinner (Le Boule D’Or and Les Droles were excellent) and places to visit. Everything is utterly spotless (including the pool and terrace which were meticulously cleaned each day) and the beds are like sleeping in the clouds. The welcoming scent throughout is something we’ll remember at home thanks to a visit to Aubeterre to Savon Garde. We cannot fault this incredible haven of tranquility and luxury and are already planning a return visit. Thank you Mark and Gary for transforming La Charmante Distillerie to such an outstanding holiday destination, and for your hospitality from start to finish.
Thank you so much for a relaxing week - it was just what we needed! The Loft is truly exceptional and Oscar has loved playing in the garden. Visits to Narbonne, Carcassonne and the Sigean Animal Reserve were great. The highlight for us was the Gouffe de Cabesprine caves - a must see!
The family and I had a lovely stay at your house, Les Rocans. Your house, Les Rocans, has obviously been the subject of careful and loving restoration in many parts and it was lovely to stay there. The location is stunning, one could not tire of the views from the hillside. During our stay the weather was blistering hot sun and maximum temperatures around 36-38 degrees C. However, the breeze coming up the hill tempered the heat to make it quite tolerable. The trees you have carefully left near the swimming pool gave really good shade; it was my favourite lounging place. The swimming pool was so enjoyable, especially in the heat. Water temperature was the same as the heated pool in our local Virgin Active gym complex, occasionally higher, so our 4 year old grandson spent large amounts of time in the pool. Again, a lot of thought has clearly been given to the siting of the pool. There is a lot to do and see in the surrounding countryside. Our regret is we didn't get out as much as anticipated as the heat was a little too much away from Les Rocans. The few trips we did make showed how picturesque that part of France remains, especially around Sablet / Seguret / Vaison. Definitely we shall explore more next time, perhaps at a quieter time of year. Kevin, thank you for providing a place which gave us all much enjoyment for our weeks stay. The whole family wished they could have stayed longer. We did our best to cherish your house as you so obviously do.
It was a real privilege to stay at Château Monjardin - it's a fantastic property full of character and it really felt like a home to us. The guardian is great and made us feel very welcome.
We've rented a lot of other villa, châteaux and domaines, but this one was the best! The six ensuite bedrooms were all the same size and had the same amenities so none of the six couples had a less than optimal room as we've experienced in other rentals. The two on-site staff were wonderful and spoke perfect English (they're Irish so not a surprise). The location in Burgundy was perfect for day trips. If you book this rental, you'll be delighted!
