Fantastic stay - group of 10 adults and 10 children. Great set up to keep both groups well entertained and some additional surprises like a play area next to one of the outside eating areas. Sports hall and pool both huge, the later keeping us cool in the hot afternoons. The owners also helped us arrange a local cook to cater on some evenings and also a local wine producer to do a wine tasting.
We have had a wonderful time - beautiful château, lovely walk in the incredible country side and great recommendations from you for day trips and restaurants!

We've had a wonderful week, enjoyed by all. We thought the tapas evening with Emma was great fun and well worth it, she's very knowledgable. We ended the week with lunch at Domaine Gayda, a great recommendation. We were sad to leave such a lovely home which exceeded our expectations and I would love to think that one day we could return. Many thanks for our wonderful week here in your beautiful home and surroundings. We loved every minute with the children spending their time in the pool, playing table tennis and with all the other games (chess, dominoes…) You kindly supplied we couldn’t have asked for more and very much appreciated our welcome pack. We were a family of seven adults and spent a wonderful week at Challignac. Mark and Gary truly are superb hosts. The gite was beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Everything you could possibly need had been thoughtfully provided — including luxurious liquid shower soap, so no need to bring your own. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped, with every utensil and appliance you might require. And if something wasn’t there, Mark and Gary were more than happy to provide it! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a generous selection of cheese, meats, bread, snacks, wine, beer, soft drinks, tea, and coffee — a perfect welcome that meant we didn’t have to rush out to the shops. The pool area was simply divine: a stunning heated pool surrounded by tons of outdoor seating and a brilliant outdoor kitchen. Everything was set up for relaxation and enjoyment. Although the weather gods weren't entirely on our side, we made the most of it by exploring local villages and larger towns. We enjoyed some fantastic meals at restaurants recommended by our hosts. All in all, everyone had a jolly good time, and we will most definitely return. A massive thank you to Mark and Gary!

Fantastic villa. Villa Chiavari is and has everything one could wish for! Located perfectly with stunning views over the sea and great sun exposure throughout the day the villa provides high quality amenities only. Air condition, great BBQ, TV room, plenty of kitchen utilities and not to mention a great pool. We were 4 families in total but still had plenty of space. The villa is very child friendly (apart from the pool which always requires supervision anyway). There are plenty of beaches and good beach restaurants within 10 - 20 minutes driving distance. Shopping facilities are a bit further away so make sure to buy weekly supply first time. We hope to come back soon!
We had a pleasant stay in Helen's accommodation, the outside is very spacious, the pool is very large, the villa is well equipped and spacious for 12. Very responsive and available host, we recommend without a second thought!
Thank you for a lovely holiday in your beautiful house. The pool was perfect as was the weather, so we made full use of it. The BBQ area was great as well and the new fridge freezer with the ice maker was superb. The area surrounding Besson was perfect for exploring on our bikes. There is still so much more to see so I am sure we will be back.
An idyllic month! The farmhouse is lovely, cool inside and beautifully equipped. Everything worked perfectly, even the Wi-Fi for the numerous zoom meetings we both had in England. The summer kitchen and pool were a godsend, yesterday was 48° in the sun! Insane temperature but we coped well, including Harry, our black Labrador who always love being outside normally could hardly be dragged away from the cool tiles on the floor! Harry swam too in the Lot and various lakes nearby - very useful. We loved it so much, we are looking for a month next year. A huge thank you to Stéphane and Cathy (and Jean Luc) who looked after us and the pool and house so well. The area locally is so friendly and we have met some lovely people - at the Wednesday night market in Salles, walking Harry at 7 am in the morning (Mike, not me!) and on various visits to Monflanquin and other local bastide villages. 14th July celebrations last night were greatfun too. Vive la France! With many thanks again.
We have had a wonderful stay at La Remise. Esther and Lee have been helpful hosts and gave some great tips on places to eat and visit for our stay. The villa and especially the pool have been fantastic.
Possibly the loveliest holiday I have ever had! everything about the house and area was stunning, but mostly importantly as someone with children it was very practical. Information about the local area and things to do was provided a few weeks earlier which was an inspired idea as meant that I booked things and also had things to look forward to. The house was beautifully done. The living area on the top floor has beautiful views and is wonderfully put together - my son spent a huge amount of time relaxing in the Eames style chair flitting between Minecraft and looking out at the hills. The middle floor ensures cool bedrooms with plenty of bathrooms / showers. And the ground floor is super chilled. Then there is the secret garden which was just magical. I will not divulge it as genuinely a lovely surprise. However it was a wonderful place to decamp to either for an afternoon or at the end of a day trip. For me the house and gardens were absolutely gorgeous and my deepest regret is that we did not enjoy them more. Needless to say that halfway through the holiday I was already looking to rebook for next year. The location was perfect as both practical and beautiful - a stunning home in a tiny French village, but the Intermarche is 10 minutes away! You had medieval church bells but knowing that food and wine was within easy reach. Even the neighbours were chumbly with my very basic French. I genuinely felt as though I had got away from it all, enjoyed a small part of French village life and had a holiday.
We had a very relaxing stay at Colombat Cottage. Lots of walking and floating in your lovely pool.
We had a wonderful time at Le Sechoir…countless idle days reading by the pool in the sun. So so special after the last year.
We have had a wonderful time in your very beautiful house! 2 weeks have gone by much to fast and we are sad to be leaving. Although the weather was not very sunny the last few days we swam every day. The pool is great and we will miss it. We visited Minerve, Carcassonne, Béziers, Narbonne and Lagrasse. Croissants every morning from the van at 10am, delicious! Love the decor and everything in the house, vintage design and you have great style. Hope to be back someday soon.
After a two-year pause in our travel arrangements we couldn’t have been more delighted with our visit to the Loft du Vigneron. It was everything - and more - than we had hoped for. Beautiful and Charming place to Stay. Wonderful service from the owner Linda who does everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. This beautiful rural chateau is steeped in history and has a very eclectic decor in a shabby-chic style which would suit a group of friends or family that love something a bit different.
My husband and I rented this charming house for 2 weeks in August with our 2 young daughters and we are already planning a return trip next year! Firstly, the pool is stunning. It's huge and spotless and we could barely get the girls out of it! The house is big and spacious and the newly decorated bathrooms made me feel like I was staying at Soho House! The house is situated in a lovely little town on the Canal du Midi. There is a huge wine shop next door and several bars and restaurants within walking distance on the quay. We had day trips to the beach at Gruissan and Leucate which were stunning Mediterranean resorts and barely 40 minutes away.

Private pool in perfect surroundings. Maison Meunier is a great little find. I stayed in the larger house last year so was excited to return to the area. Inside there are 2 good sized bedrooms, clean bathroom and kitchen with full facilities and a stylish and spacious living and dining area. And then there is the outside...! There is a beautiful pergola covered terrace with BBQ which is perfect for al fresco dining and evening chats over a bottle of wine (from the local vineyard of course). The pool has stunning views over fruit trees, the fishing lake and forest covered hills in the background. It feels very private and isn't overlooked. The pool is immaculate and perfect size for playing / floating / chilling. The pool area also has sun loungers and a covered portion for the shade seekers. The area of Saint Front-Sur-Lemance is beautiful. Very sleepy and laid back but has all the best necessary amenities within a 5 minute walk (shop, cafe, Albert's pub) or 10 - 15 minute drive (Blanquefort-sur-Briolance for moules frites at Auberge des Moulins or Fumel for bigger shops and 25m outdoor pool). The owners are great hosts; not intrusive but always nearby to provide advice or help if needed. We can't wait to return next year.
I don't often write reviews but if I could give 10 stars I would. La Charmante Distillerie is just amazing. Mark and Gary are the warmest, kindest, genuine people that go above and beyond to make your stay special. I’m very fussy about cleanliness and I can honestly say this house is truly the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in, the attention to detail is outstanding. Beds are the comfiest I’ve ever slept in and there is everything you could possibly need and more. The heated pool was beautiful, the outdoor Boules was fun for us adults and the children. Wi-Fi is superb. Plenty of comfy seating and eating areas all set in the most beautiful grounds and surrounding countryside and forest. We stayed up late each night to stargaze which was so worth it. A special thank you to Mark and Gary for being the best hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Wonderful home for a family vacation, amenities all on one level with nice pool with good alarm protection. Also a great place to live outside with pizza maker, BBQ and very easy to use functional kitchen. Lots of outside shaded seating areas. Air conditioning in bedrooms was a great benefit during hot weather. Lovely furnishings and felt like the home of a happy family. Easy access to boulangerie, supermarket and local restaurant - all less than 5 minutes walk. Thank you.

Lovely spacious house. We loved staying here! The rooms were lovely and spacious and the bed was big and comfortable :-) The location was really good to. We enjoyed going down to the riverside cafe, kayaking on the river, cycling, sightseeing, eating! We would definitely come back.
