Absolutely fabulous! We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 weeks and would love to return. It's so well equipped, you've thought of everything UK TV meant we could stay in touch with local news not mention avidly watching the olympics. The property couldn't be bettered!

Our son loved the trampoline and the swimming pool and our daughters loved playing under the shady trees in your beautiful garden. The roses are gorgeous and their smell filled our lazy days. First visit was in 2010 for two weeks in May. This one-week revisit was a long-delayed family Christmas holiday. The house is charming, well-maintained and comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to local cafes and restaurants, shops, the amazing Saturday market and in-town sites of historical and architectural interest. Outside town, just 15 to 30 minutes by car are numerous chateaux, gardens, museums, prehistoric sites with cave paintings and more. So much to do and then a lovely place to come home to. Jackie was a wonderful host.
Beautiful home. A lovely house with gardens, exceptionally peaceful and private. Lovely pool and all the facilities. Saint-Alvère also a lovely village.
I don't often write reviews but if I could give 10 stars I would. La Charmante Distillerie is just amazing. Mark and Gary are the warmest, kindest, genuine people that go above and beyond to make your stay special. I’m very fussy about cleanliness and I can honestly say this house is truly the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in, the attention to detail is outstanding. Beds are the comfiest I’ve ever slept in and there is everything you could possibly need and more. The heated pool was beautiful, the outdoor Boules was fun for us adults and the children. Wi fi is superb. Plenty of comfy seating and eating areas all set in the most beautiful grounds and surrounding countryside and forest. We stayed up late each night to stargaze which was so worth it. A special thank you to Mark and Gary for being the best hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
We have had a very relaxing holiday, some by the pool days and some exploring the Loire Valley, vineyards, châteaux, beautiful villages. House, pool and hammock were amazing!

We stayed at your villa in Pézenas for a week in September and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there.
With our thanks for allowing us to spend a week in your marvellous villa. Weather could have been kinder but lovely and easy to re-visit the Languedoc towns and attractions that we know well. La Panouille (village restaurant in walking distance) a big hit with us.
We have had a most amazing week. The weather has been perfect and this beautiful house has been a haven of peace and tranquility for adults and children alike. Needless to say we don't want to go home!
We have returned! Even more enjoyable this year, weather and pool fantastic. The villa is close to perfect.
The pool is really heated! Many pools in the south of France 'suggest' they are heated. However, Les Fumerates' pool - which is huge - actually is heated! In fact when we arrived the pools temp was 29C (86F)! After unpacking we took an early evening swim followed by an early morning swim... You get the idea... Like the picture suggests the views here are amazing. We had the downstairs apartment which was perfect. Two sets of French doors lead you to the pool, there are retractable awnings to shade you while having breakfast. The master bedroom is very large with a king size bed and a queen size bed which is great for unpacking or sitting on etc. There's a second bedroom and a breakfast / TV room. The kitchen was spotless with a view over the pool. A/C worked well (very important from mid June until end of August). Also there are 2 bathrooms (very handy). All in all highly recommended.
We had a wonderful time and are seriously thinking of same house for next year.

We absolutely loved Maison de la Calade. A beautiful villa in a gorgeous location with stunning views. Five stars from us. Beautifully decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean (We met the cleaning girls upon arrival who were lovely and welcoming and very helpful) very well stocked in terms of everything you need. We had a mixture of ages and there was something for everyone, room to socialise if we wanted to but plenty of nooks to escape to. The gorgeous sized pool In the lovely garden grounds was a huge hit in the August heat. Biot although up a hill is only a stones throw away and has lots of great restaurants - we'd love to come back one day.
Our stay was perfect, the house was spotless, all the comforts we needed and everything was new. Eva advised us on lots of things, the contact was perfect, always attentive and caring. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.
It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. This is a beautiful, fully modernised house in a lovely friendly village. A well designed spacious house over two floors with a large balcony from the modernised kitchen and lounge overlooking the pool and views of the surrounding areas The property is perfect for lazing by the pool and is Ideally placed for trips to many nearby beaches and to the cities of Narbonne, Béziers and Montpellier.
Thank you so much for your hospitality and attentiveness during our week with you. Your property really is the most wonderful place - both to stay and to explore this part of France. The gardens provide both a sense of space and tranquility - the pool and its surrounding terrace is a real sun trap and as the days turn to evening the raised terrace at the front of the property is just ideal for those pre-dinner drinks, enjoying the conversation while soaking up the amazing view across the rolling countryside as the sun goes down - perfect. We particularly loved the atmosphere and seclusion of the rear courtyard and the outdoor kitchen and lounge area was a delight for our al fresco dining! The other beauty of the property is its great location which provides a base for touring around the region - fantastic. We are both looking forward to coming out again ! Thanks again.
