We thought that the Loft was lovely. We've had a great two weeks in beautiful accommodation. We've enjoyed exploring the region but have left plenty to do to give us a reason to come back. I know the girls will miss Mack and Mabel - we'll keep you posted if we succumb to their requests to get one of our own! Thank you both for your company and warm hospitality.
We recently stayed for two weeks at this beautiful house and were overwhelmed by its beauty and setting. The house is spacious and extremely well furnished with everything you could possibly need for a fantastic relaxing break. A lot of care and thought has gone into the decor and furnishings giving a real homely feel. Fresh flowers in the rooms added to the warmth of our welcome by Frederic, the house manager and Elisabeth and Marian had ensured that everything was immaculate. The town of Duras is close by and we enjoyed the Monday morning markets as well as trips to Bordeaux (by train from Marmande), St Emilion and the wonderful Château de Fayolle where we had an amazing lunch, vineyard tour and wine tasting. This is a beautiful part of France where we have made many happy memories and hope to return one day. Our thanks to the team at Maison Baleyssagues for making our visit so special. Worthy of mention is local driver Mark Pope who provided transport for us during our trip. He needs to be pre- booked but will get you where you need to go if you don't want to drive!
What a terrific home to say in. Totally relaxing with so much thought given to every detail. We really loved the tour of all the buildings and we look forward to visiting again to see the developments. Our stay at Maison Sebastián in October 2025 was exceptional, with glorious late-summer weather setting the tone. Before arrival, Kate, the owner, sent a friendly and informative email introducing herself and providing detailed guidance about the property. Her suggestion to contact François, the property’s caretaker, was invaluable. He met us in the village and guided us to the secluded house—a short, scenic drive that revealed its tranquil and picturesque location. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the sweeping valley views and endless forests below. The grounds and the house are meticulously maintained. François warmly welcomed us and gave a thorough tour, starting with the charming, shaded entrance. Inside, the open-plan kitchen and dining area—with its cozy fireplace—immediately made us feel at home. The kitchen was well equipped, and a thoughtful welcome hamper of local produce awaited us. Inspired by the beautiful setting, I used a Rick Stein cookbook I found there to prepare a Provençal-style roast chicken—a meal my husband now insists becomes a regular at home. Each morning, we enjoyed breakfast on the terrace overlooking the landscape, a perfect start to the day. Evenings were spent by the fire in the kitchen’s sitting area, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and the abundance of prepared firewood. The super king-sized bed ensured a restful night, and the shower offered flawless water pressure and temperature—attention to detail that made a difference. The pool, set against the panoramic backdrop, deserves a full 10/10. Every aspect of the property reflects quality, care, and comfort. For stargazing enthusiasts, the clear night skies and absence of light pollution make this retreat truly magical. We left deeply impressed and in love with this property—its peaceful seclusion, impeccable maintenance, and romantic charm make it a perfect stay.

When can we go again!? Wonderful place and great for 3 couples to stay at and relax for a few nights. In the heart of the village which had enough to do if you just want some peace and quiet.

A beautiful house, fully equipped with EVERYTHING you could ever need or think of! The pool area is just brilliant and we all enjoyed spending the majority of our stay here underwater. Wonderful time with the big family. The beautiful Château Velouse offers plenty of space for a large family or friends, with a great kitchen, a large dining room and a cozy living room. Almost each of the eight traditionally decorated bedrooms are having their own modern bathroom. The huge park is great for own dogs, which you can easy bring with you.
We spent a weekend and everything was very good. Perfect place for the family. Highly recommended!
We had a superb 11 day stay in Fitou. Everything was as expected when we arrived - the property has everything you would expect and more when travelling with young children - in our case a 10 month old as well as 2½ year old twins. The car beds were a huge hit with the twins! The village of Fitou is also really nice - there are over 10 wines caves selling high quality local Fitou. There are also some excellent restaurants - would recommend Vidals if you are taking the kids. Outside of Fitou, Perpignan, Narbonne and Carcassonne are all realistic day trip options and the resort of Leucate is also good for a more traditional seaside ambience.
Couldn't keep the kids out of the pool it was so warm, especially in the evening when we sat on the terrace next to the pool with a glass of rosé. Everyone loved the roof terrace with its views. Thanks for a very warm welcome.

Lovely spacious house, at the edge of a village. Beautiful pool area and pool house with shaded eating area. Excellent bathrooms and spacious modern shower facilities. Useful utility area. Lovely quiet setting. Good shop in next village, 4 miles away but bread machine just near property. House was lovely and clean and excellent welcome from caretaker.

An idyllic haven in the Gers countryside. The room was beautifully comfortable and had far- reaching views over the vines. Host, David, cooked us a sensational meal on the evening of our arrival as well as French breakfast of fruit, yogurts, bread and croissants, cheese, delicious preserves each morning. He was also a source of invaluable advice about the area - things to see and places to eat. A warm, welcoming chambre d’hote. Unhesitatingly recommended.

We’ve just returned from our third visit to Mas de Lozanne and if anything, the property is better than ever! There have been various improvements made - the addition of a wine fridge, sofas at the side of the pool, a better pool alarm - to name a few. We also noticed how much the trees and shrubs have grown, making very attractive shady areas in the garden - much needed as the temperature did not drop below 34 degrees! All in all, a wonderful stay in this lovely property. Lisa looked after us well and answered any questions we had. Highly recommended!
What a remarkable project this house has bee ! Spacious and comfortable with fantastic garden and pool. We enjoyed visiting Bordeilles Castle and beautiful river, plus Brantome and paddle-boarding. We loved the market in Riberac, but the best of all was being here. So sad to leave !
Extremely well maintained and attractive park. Thought the children's swings and loungers were really good for variety. Excellent facilities. Extremely responsive and discrete service which was excellent. Invaluable housekeeping and concierge service. Thank you!
