Beautiful villa in a wonderful, peaceful and scenic part of the French countryside! Thank you for a lovely stay and 2 weeks rest! Great weather, lots of warm sunny memories to take home to rainy England. Frédéric was amazing, very friendly and helpful.
We adore this house - it is our third visit this year! The atmosphere here is so conducive to being happy and relaxed. Les Baquiés are the most agreeable hosts in the world.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here in Vouvant. Piglet Barn is an excellent mix of loveliness with all your touches and thoughtfulness to make a stay so welcoming and enjoyable. On top of this, we have had the delight of wine, peaches, home-made almond cake and two evening apéros in your wonderful company.

Superb house for couples of friends or families with children. Each of the rooms has its own bathroom and WC, there are board games, bikes... and it is quiet.
The rental of La Bastide 1718 within the domain surrounded by hills is exceptional and provides a rare quietness. The layout of the residence allows for very pleasant and relaxed family gatherings for about 15 people; the layout of the bathrooms is perfect. The swimming pool and pool house is of ample size; this facility is completed by a gym and a sauna. The design of the kitchen makes it easy to provide daily meals for about 15 people (2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators). The laundry room allows for efficient laundry management. Two barbecues and the pool house kitchen make it easy to arrange meals with guests. The house management runs smoothly thanks to the maid service and the discreet but efficient watch of the site manager and his staff (the swimming pool is maintained during the night for example). In conclusion, an exceptional rental which justifies its price.

Great location, on the beach with great access to activities. Parking is great. Everything was perfect from pre check communications through check out. Loved the apartment and overall vibe of staying on the beach with all the fun activities, shops and markets. Great for walking. The beach and water are fantastic!! The apartment is perfect. Immaculate apartment, great location. Very central to everything you could want.
Just to say that the property was outstanding and we thoroughly recommend it to other families. It was great for young children and having a bathroom with each bedroom was exceptional.
This is our second family holiday in this wonderful house. The welcome from Ian and Hugh when we arrived was excellent. The house and garden are beautifully cared for and the standard of accommodation is 'five star'. It felt like home from home rather than a soleless rental property. Having the owners on site was a plus as they where able to guide us with local activities and restaurant recommendations... there is a lot to do in this area and being so close to some of the best wine regions in the world is definitely a big plus. We also has a lovely day in Bordeaux, which is an easy drive or train journey and well worth the effort. We plan to return next year for our summer break and I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful peaceful haven to anyone wishing to experience the best in hospitality! Everything about the property was better than expected. The rooms were large, clean and wonderfully decorated. The beds and linen were first rate. The kitchen and living areas were all well appointed and had everything you need. The laundry room had 2 washing/drying machines ! The salt water pool was wonderful and there was many pool toys, ping pong table etc. The area was wonderful for e-bikes that we rented and we enjoyed the charming villages all within short drive away : Cotignac, La Celle and many more. Thomas, the property manager was helpful and took care of our excursions. The property is very private with lovely views of the mountains and vineyards. Of course the vineyard offers wine tasting and cellar visit. We were 11 family members who could not have had a better vacation. Everything about Les Trois Maisons de Valescure has 5 stars (or 3 Michelins!)
The most enjoyable part of France. The most enjoyable stay in “luxe” villa. Highlights: fresh veg from Duras market on Monday. eating out at Eymet, almost any restaurant will do, but particular favourites are Cour d’Eymet and Château les Vigiers. watching the red kites hunting over the fields in the evening . The lizards and the geko on the patio. All in all a memorable experience.

Superb deluxe holiday rental - fabulous owner helped enhance many warm memories . Stayed in a family party of 16 over New Year. Great directions and arriving on New years Eve, the owner was waiting by the main gate to great us as the rest of our party had arrive the day previous. The quality of the roof finishes, furnishings, bedding, towels... all outstanding. We had arranged for provisions ahead of our arrival, all were present and correct, even the ham was premium quality Fabulous grounds, cosy sitting rooms and 2 friendly red setters roaming gave a homely feel in what is a stylish deluxe country residence. Fully equipped kitchen with a 1st class chef available, deluxe menus with fine wine options all available. At the owners suggestion we visited Bourges which is 15 minutes away for a cosmopolitan array shops, bars and resturants while also being steeped in history. The gardens even in winter were impressive but the jewel in the crown has to be the cathedral nestled in Napoleonic architecture. Recommended, recommended - Can't wait to go back
At La Picholine, we felt like God in France as usual. From the sunny terrace, with a glass of wine in hand, a cheese nearby, we enjoyed the vines in the valley below us in ‘deafening’ silence, watched the olives come out of the blossom and listened to the cheerful twittering of the birds. The flat of the ever friendly and helpful hosts Esther and Leonard is furnished with taste. A touch of nostalgia with the look of today. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is comfortable. Everything not only looks new, but is new. From the first moment, we felt at home here. The nearby forests invite you to go for a nice walk. By the way, you can walk everywhere in the area. Tip: the route along the medieval village of La Roque-sur-Ceze with the waterfalls nearby. In the village of Tresques, near Domaine Cadignac, we imagined ourselves in the France of old. A medieval tower with an exhibition of contemporary art, a bakery and grocery shop, a water spring where the villagers tap their daily drinking water and a good winemaker. Where do you still find these villages? The residence is conveniently located for visiting larger cities. Half an hour’s drive and you are in Orange with memories of the Dutch royal house or in the papal city of Avignon, where you can browse in one of those real French bric-a-brac markets in a suburb every Saturday morning. Or you can walk around Nîmes Collesseum after an hour’s drive and have visited the impressive aqueduct built by Romans on the way there. The ancient city centre of Nîmes and of historic Avignon are also an eldorado for funshoppers. In short, the fully equipped and rustic L'Oliveraie was an ideal base for us to (re)discover French nature and culture. We will definitely come back here again!
We were traveling with our 3 children. The house is even more beautiful than the photos. We ate all meals when we were home outside on the terrace. The pool was fantastic. The wonderful windows open to the perfect temperature outside. It was an immediate sense of relaxation. You can walk to town, the Roman Ruins, lake and the asylum where Van Gogh stayed. Town is charming and chock full of things to do. Wednesday market throughout town was a blast for all of us. Great restaurants, 2 artisan chocolate makers!
Château de la Ronde is a magnificent place. The welcome is warm and the service, very upscale, is impeccable. Its location makes it an excellent place to stay, whether to rest or discover the Loire Valley.
