We liked it so much last year we came back to enjoy being at this most beautiful place – a little piece of paradise. It’s been very hot but the house is cool (and so comfortable) and the pool and the dining terrace make it perfect. Thanks to Mark and Janet for making it so lovely. We’ll be sad to leave.

The house is incredibly colourful and feels just like a real home - warm, personal, and full of character. The pool is lovely, and there’s plenty of shaded areas to relax. The property overall is charming and inviting. A perfect spot for a family getaway!

I had a week in August and had a wonderful time. The property was immaculate and extremely well appointed. The location beautiful and exceeded expectations. I also wanted to share the fantastic hospitality of the host, Debbie. There were homemade yoghurts in the morning and a private yoga session arranged. Recommendations on restaurants and places to see. This was all done without being pushy or infringing on our holiday or privacy in any way.
We had a pleasant week with friends. The accommodation met our expectations. The host was responsive and accommodated us for the arrival time. I recommend.
I just wanted to say what a great time we had on our recent visit to Maison Des Communes, Philippe and Federica were wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome. The house in a tranquil location was perfect for a very relaxing get away from it all.
We had a lovely trip and will definitely book to stay at the villa again!

I wanted to mention that we were delighted with our stay from August 5 to 12 with this very cordial and motivated winegrower. The house is beautiful, the property very calm, it has many walks and a nice swimming pool.
We had all looked forward to staying at La Barde just from its location and seeing the lovely pics and the reality was still better and just perfect for two families of five. There's a wonderful secret garden feel and we were surrounded with the best of early summer in the garden. The house has a lovely laid-back, stylish vibe with a huge kitchen, spacious bedrooms and a large comfy sitting room we never needed to use. The shady terrace outside the kitchen with roses and jasmine and every possible seating and lazing opportunity was the centre of 'activities' and wonderful for every meal. Early morning swims with the scent of jasmine and lavender were a particular treat and there were endless pingpong, badminton (and tanning) challenges. La Barde is perfectly positioned for enjoying local life from markets to canoeing and Périgueux is just an hour away. We loved the Lusignac bar. You won't be surprised to read that we are returning this year!
Beautiful maintained home and grounds. Excellent facilities for young families. All modern and child / baby amenities provided. Daily housekeeping was an added bonus compared to previous holiday rentals.
This is a total joy of a house. The photographs make it look beautiful - it is even better in real life. The pool is quite incredible - like being in a boutique hotel all of your own. A true hidden gem.
We had a wonderful stay at Mas Saint-Martial, the pool was incredible and the owners were fantastic hosts. Probably the most relaxing yet inspiring holiday and people we have met for a long time which will have a long-lasting positive impact on us.
Sam's place was what we were looking for for a family with kids of 12 and 10 respectively. Accessibility of the Lot Valley and Dordogne meant there were plenty of options for outings and facilities to be explored and enjoyed for adults and kids alike. Very local night markets were also a highlight of our stay. The property was very well equipped with indoor games and with equipment to enjoy the outdoor spaces. It is exceedingly quiet and peaceful with few cars passing by which makes for a very relaxing and restful environment for time spent at the property. We left feeling very well refreshed.
Wow… what an amazing villa, it's just so beautiful. We had an amazing family holiday… Debbie and Brent also made our experience so memorable and really have provided a fantastic service.

Would give 10 stars if I could- wonderful stay. The house was so clean and well prepared for us. Felt luxury rustic. There was great detail put into the design. Easy communication with the owner. Great location down a picturesque street and easy to get in and out of Gordes town. Would definitely stay here again.
Thank you for sharing your fantastic home with us. Perfect location and layout of the house, with a great outside bathing area to watch the sunsets with a glass of wine. Laprade not to be missed. If you are prepared to drive a little further Issigeac (Noth East of Eymet) worth a visit with a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants. Big thanks to Olivia, always on hand to help. A luxurious spot with the most beautiful heated pool and views to the Mediterranean. The pool and its view absolutely makes this property. It is absolutely spotless, heated to a perfect 30 degrees and is an infinity pool which adds to the luxurious feel. There is a diving board and a fun water slide and there are foam pool loungers available too. The terrace is also beautiful with plenty of sunbeds and seating and a table for meals. Inside the property is spacious with some interesting antiques and the bedrooms are air conditioned, which is lovely even though there is plenty of shade on hot days anyway. The car can be parked right next to the villa for ease of carrying luggage and supermarket shopping etc. All in all Les Fumerates feels like a slice of paradise, peaceful and calm and difficult to tear yourself away from despite the easy proximity of the coast. The pool is the star attraction, always lovely to swim in even in late evening and with a slide, diving board and floating loungers if wanted. The terrace and pool are lit at night and the calm, luxurious atmosphere makes it almost impossible to leave despite its proximity to some lovely places to visit!
Exceptional. Château de la Ronde and its grounds have been beautifully renovated and maintained. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and every aspect has been considered to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The views across to Saumur Castle from the château were stunning.

Thank you for having let us your wonderful house. We have spent a wonderful week with perfect weather, very interesting excursions and we had great meals. We would be very glad if it were possible to rent the house for one or two weeks again next year.
We had a wonderful trip! The pictures cannot fully represent the beauty of the house, the pool and the hilltop setting with views over the river and the whole valley. The layout of the house worked very well for us, as each of our families had their own wing with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. We were grateful for the help with arranging chefs and babysitters (who were fantastic) and the hosts were proactive in making sure we had a great stay. The location is great too, as you are near a couple of cute towns with good bakeries and restaurants, close to Sarlat, Domme and La Roque-Gageac and centrally located for prehistoric caves, river trips, wineries, etc. We can't recommend this house enough!
Thank you for being such welcoming hosts. We have had a thoroughly relaxing week and have loved staying in Loft du Vigneron. Everything is so stylish and spotless. We loved the swimming pool! A little touch of heaven on earth...
