Enormous charm, excellent location, very quiet and private, very clean and well managed. We will return!
An excellent week with the family with the little ones (2, 5, 9 years old) and adults who have enjoyed the swimming pool, the games, table tennis, volleyball... the barbecue and the many possibilities offered by the house for lunch, dinner and rest. The surrounding villages offer evening walks where you can meet producers and taste local specialties (foie gras, duck breasts, wines...). Many châteaux to visit and canoeing on the Dordogne. A good stay in a beautiful region.
Where to start, we have had such a wonderful week we have loved everything about this house and grounds. It is the best house we have ever hired as a group and Mike and Natalie have gone out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Just to mention a few of the many things we loved about the house, the fantastic swimming pool, the incredible views, the activities provided, the comfortable beds, the beautiful seating areas in and out of the house, the breakfast area, the bathrooms... and of course Myrtle the cat who joined us every morning for breakfast. Best of all it was a fantastic place for Grace and Ken to get engaged to be married! Thank you so much for the opportunity to hire this beautiful home. (This was truly a magical place to get engaged, Grace x)
We had an excellent stay in March in this large, very well appointed and superbly equipped house to accommodate our group of 11 people. Beautiful amenities in the house, quality bedding and a paradise for children. With its large swimming pool, its two terraces and its numerous outdoor games, the area must be even more appreciated in the summer season. We highly recommend this rental, ideal for large families or groups of friends. We were able to discover an enchanting setting in the region. We enjoyed the calm and beauty of the surrounding countryside. Obviously, we couldn't resist the desire to taste the extraordinary local products (wines, gastronomy, etc.). An exceptional place in which we will return for a vacation.
Thank you - it was another fabulous two weeks at Les Granels for us - and we loved the new additions of the hot tub and beach volley ball court.
We've had a wonderful holiday. The house has been perfect for our three families and the pool is quite superb.
We have enjoyed a tremendous week. The weather was fantastic and we made the most of the outdoor living. A few highlights for us: A fantastic meal at L’Effet Maison in Monflanquin. Great service and they were superb with the boys. Château Bonaguil (never found) was a big hit with the boys. It is a large castle and they loved running around and pretending to be knights. Much (much!) further afield, but we enjoyed Angoulême on the drive down from Calais – lots of amazing murals and graffiti. We hope to return to this great house!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maison Estephe and thought the village and surrounding area was one of the nicest places we have been in France. We have over the years been to almost every department in France but never to Pézenas. In fact we liked it so much we are considering a move from The Limousin to the Pézenas area. The house was charming and very comfortable indeed.
Delighted to be the first guests of the season in this magical house and garden. The week went too fast of course but we enjoyed the market in Ribérac. Visits to Bergerac. The owners were great hosts.
Where to begin? Booked this wonderful house 10 months ago. Often looked at the pictures and thought can anywhere be so perfect... it can! The sheer joy of walking from room to room, spending entire days outside by and in the pool. Simple living in a sumptuous house which just keeps giving with it's character, beautiful art and furniture. Was this as perfect as I imagined? Absolutely. Would I come back? Without a doubt. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this beautiful, fairytale cottage. The setting is superb, from the lovely gardens around the house to the graceful trees around the pool. The large pool was the perfect place to relax, with the temperatures in our week pushing 40 degrees. The cottage itself is cool and spacious and provided with every convenience required for a comfortable stay. The location, too, is ideal for exploring the area which has so many interesting historical sites and attractive villages to visit and enjoy. Our hosts Caterina and Stephen were friendly and welcoming. They took great care to give us complete privacy but were always close at hand if there was anything we needed. We have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful cottage and hope to be able to visit again in the future.
We stayed at the Le Manoir des Sines in September and it was simply exceptional! Nestled on top of a hill in the middle of the French countryside. This place is a real gem. The service was impeccable, always at our disposal and the beauty of the place is breathtaking. The photos are incredible, but the reality is even more impressive. All our guests were enchanted by this magical place, perfect for a group. We had an unforgettable time that will leave us with incredible memories for the rest of our lives. There is also plenty of space for everyone and everything was spotlessly clean. An experience to recommend without hesitation!
We have had a a relaxing week in this lovely gite. Madeline and Alan are great hosts. Respect your space but on hand for advice, local knowledge and a chat. We enjoyed kayaking on the Lot, exploring the local area on our bikes and enjoyed using the lovely pool each day (our son's favourite part!). We loved our visit to the Latour-Marliac for a great lunch and a lovely walk around the gardens and amazing water lilies. On our last night we had a great meal in the fish restaurant 'Blue Marine', Villeneuve-sur-Lot. We also had a nice meal in the week at 'La Commonderie' at Temple-sur-Lot. A great holiday. Thank you. Hope to visit again.

The house is great. Lovely warm pool, table tennis table, huge grounds, lovely area, lots of culture nearby, nice local town with excellent market.
We were absolutely overwhelmed by beauty, tranquility and views surrounding the wonderful home. Such a privilege to spend time here forming special memories with the family - especially celebrating a significant birthday! We enjoyed the gorgeous pool, BBQ'd, had a vineyard tour and wine tasting, kayaked on the Dordogne and much more. Frédéric's warmth, helpfulness and attention to detail was very much appreciated- we can't praise the level of service and thoughtfulness enough! Thank you so much!

We have been staying in gites and villas in France for many, many years and Mas des Rivailles is one of the best. Very clean, comfortable with everything in place for a lovely relaxing holiday. The pool was great but didn't get used as much as we would have liked due to the inclement weather we experienced for the two weeks we were there. The welcome pack was an unexpected surprise and much appreciated. Frédéric was helpful and informative as were our friendly neighbours (no English spoken) but it gave us a chance to practice our limited French. Lovely little villages to visit and good restaurants, Clement in Lauzun was a favourite. Fully recommend this property.
A family home that will enchant you for a weekend or more. A large exterior with swimming pool and in addition, very well arranged where all the spaces are wonderfully well thought out and decorated. A perfect arrival with recommendations on visits and things to visit nearby. An over-equipped kitchen and a whole bunch of practical utensils. The bonus, 9 bicycles are available to enjoy the surroundings. I highly recommend.

We have visited many properties in France and this is one ofthe loveliest ! Vouvant is a delightful village with its interesting history and vibrant community.The guided walk of the village is recommended as well as a visit to the zoo - great for kids. We had a lovely time at the villa it’s beautiful and the pool and gardens are amazing. We have been coming to France for many years and always stay somewhere different and this is the first time we said that we would consider returning to a property. Everything seems to have been thought of. Inside the place is spacious as well, with separate quest rooms. The house is very suited for a large family and/or 3 couples due to the lay out. The master bedroom is huge and the separate bathroom is very luxurious and also spacious. The place is very suited for a nice formal dinner in the separate dinning room. We ate outdoor all the time but the inside is very nice too. My little one had to chose between the grand piano and the pool, a mayor dilemma. The pool is large enough to swim in it and not only to play around in it. It is surrounded by lavender bushes for a true French experience. Duras is in the neighborhood, there you can find a few shops, bars and restaurants such as bakers, a butcher, pizzeria and a supermarket. You should visit the Castle of Duras, it’s a recommendation definitely if you have kids. All and all, I should not recommend it too much…. so we can keep it to ourselves!
The views from the outside dining area are amazing, from Mt Ventoux in the east to Les Dentelles in the West and looking down the hill to the medieval old town of Vaison. We love the walk to Villedieu with lunch in the village square. A short drive away to Gigondas and Les Dentelles opens up some great walks. Another favourites are the markets in Vaison and Bedoin, the later market was followed by a drive up Mt Ventoux. The house is finished to a high level and very comfortable and well equipped, we enjoyed our time here very much.
We have settled in very well thank you into your lovely home. Everything has been super and I don't think we could have asked for more. You certainly have made a wonderful place to stay.
I just want to send you a quick message to say what a lovely holiday we are having in your charming house. It looked fabulous from the photos but in fact, on arrival it really surpassed our expectations. We really appreciate the beautiful environment and also the rare fact that it was very well stocked with all those things one normally needs to rush to the supermarket to buy: loo paper, soap, dishwasher tablets and the like. I just wanted to let you know what a lovely place this is and to say thank you.
