We have had a very enjoyable time here for the past two weeks really busy doing nothing! Very hot and very grateful for the wonderful pool. House had everything we could need. Your book of useful info was terrific help
What a fabulous week! The open-plan ground floor was cool in the midday heat and comfortable in the evenings. Good sized dining space, lounge area and sunken kitchen with a large table. We had everything we needed. Upstairs the master bedroom was spacious and dual aspect with a large ensuite. The two twin rooms were comfortable and personal. Everything was spotlessly clean and in excellent condition, while still being welcoming and personal. The outside space was of an equally high standard. A patio area for dining al fresco, bbq and a beautiful pool area, set in an established garden of trees and shrubs. It was a perfect place to while away the day. The pool was a very comfortable 29 degrees c and maintained by the host, Debbie, so we didn't have to do any more than enjoy it! Debbie was an excellent and considerate host. We were greeted on arrival with cool drinks and a warm welcome and she was helpful and kind throughout the visit, arranging a few restaurant bookings and leaving gifts of fruit and vegetables from the property at our doorstep. Debbie was particularly lovely to our teenage daughter who was enamoured by the house cats. The surrounding area was beautiful, with lots to do and we loved every minute of exploring it, but it was always nice to come 'home' to Carcavi.
We are now travelling to the Loire after spending a lovely week at Les Faures. After an initial couple of cloudy days, the weather turned out to be beautiful. We very much enjoyed exploring the area. We went canoeing at Pessac and went to the beautiful Château de Carbonneau. We also really enjoyed Le Gensake. Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely house.

We spent a very pleasant week in your property - an oasis of tranquility, a real little paradise that has delighted young and old alike! We have had a splendid time here and greatly enjoyed the villa. It was very relaxing and comfortable place with incredible views over the vineyards and hill. We spent a lot of time by the pool but also explored the neighbouring sights - Roquebrun was great fun and we also liked Minerve and managed to get down to the coast at Cabaues-les-Fleury.
We were not too familiar with the region, but since we live in a highly fast-paced city, we knew we wanted a tranquil and somewhat less-touristy vacation spot surrounded by nature. Through an amazing agency, we were able to lease the cottage for two weeks in late August and had an amazing time there. The property dates back to 1750 and is fully well-renovated - every detail has been taken into consideration so one is able to enjoy the experience of staying in an authentic French country house, but with modern amenities that enhance the original character of the property, rather than detract from it. The town and the people are very charming and there are restaurants, cafés, a grocery store, shops, butcher shops, etc. and an excellent choice of patisseries and boulangeries, which my husband happily frequented every morning in order to bring back fresh breakfast goodies! There is a weekly market in the town square, just a 5-minute drive from the house selling amazing produce and other artisanal delights! The town is within a comfortable drive from beautiful sites in neighboring Beynac, Sarlat and Bergerac, not counting other small picturesque places you find on the way. And if you haven't done much research, fret not because the owners of the home have compiled quite an impressive binder of information with all of the popular attractions and must-see places in the area. I do not over-exaggerate when I say the house is extremely well-equipped as if it were our own home! When we were not out sightseeing during the morning, we were downstairs preparing food in the kitchen, which may seem small in the photos, but it is spacious and the layout is wonderful - the oven and stove are ideal for seasoned cooks, there is a full-size dishwasher and tons of pots, pans, utensils, gadgets and appliances - all in superb condition, so we wanted for nothing. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Maison Bourg Cales, which I would highly recommend to anyone in search of an idyllic, quiet getaway in the beautiful French countryside.

The house is stunning. The vintage furniture and decor mixed with more modern touches made us feel immediately at home! We enjoyed the pool area very much as well! And the location was perfect as well. Being able to see the boats on the Canal du Midi from the living room makes the house even more cozy and amazing. We will definitely come back soon! Thank you.
One cannot believe it can look as the pictures... in fact it is better. Everything absolutely first class and in a great location. We traveled as a family and the place managed to be both romantic and perfect for children. Cannot recommend highly enough. Six stars.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week. The accommodation was first class, very well appointed, bright and spacious with comfortable beds. The pool was attractive and inviting. There were plenty of areas around it to sit, lounge and relax, surrounded by beautiful blossom. There was plenty to do in the area from perched villages to golden beaches. The owners were friendly and helpful, yet unobtrusive. We would certainly recommend a stay.

Many thanks for a wonderful week, we have so enjoyed this lovely house and the beautiful area around it, we wish we had more than a week to see more of what we wanted, we enjoyed the circular walk through the mixed pine forest, it’s very pretty and only 2 km long. We loved l Auberge du petit bistro in Vinsobres (a 2/3 minute drive), this was our favourite eating experience, while Vaison la Romain was lovely to visit. Many thanks for bringing us to all these wonderful experiences.

Gorgeous people and house. The house and landscape is amazing and the spot very well located, taking profit from both rural slow life and the urban facilities and events of the nearby city of Carcassonne.
Wonderful stay, 5 children and 8 adults all found happiness. Bedroom, bathroom, very spacious living room as well as a pool terrace perfectly arranged for everyone and the little extra of an outdoor kitchen with barbeque. The proximity is very quiet, in the countryside but at a very correct distance to do activities. We thank the host for making this villa available for our holidays. We recommend without hesitation. The property is out in the countryside and provided a very welcome quite location for a relaxing vacation. We stayed here during early August. The property has character, built in traditional stone and has extensive grounds to explore. There is a wonderful view of the Château de Biron from the front of the property. The château is well worth a visit and if you climb to the top you can pick out the property in the distance. The pool is fantastic and we spent many hours by and in the pool. We had great fun playing water volleyball. The house has all amenities that you want, although the Wi-Fi can be slow, but this has to be expected out in the country as I explained to my children! If staying here in the summer, take a walk just before sunset, out the drive and turn left. Just down the road you will catch some great sunsets and you are likely to see lots of deer at the same time. Visit Monpazier a few miles away. It's a great place to find a restaurant and wonder around this beautiful bastide town.
Really brilliant week at Mas Saint-Cernin. We have loved the houses, garden, pool, views, sun-rises and sunsets, birds, red squirrels etc etc. The local towns are so pretty and the fantastic markets provided most of our food. Lots of coffee stops. Found it easy to do boulangerie trip. Intermarche just outside Castillonnes was an easy supermarket shop (done on Tuesday after visiting the great market where we got large boxes of peaches, apricots and haricot vert for 5 Euros. Great wine tasting at Les Verdots - wish we had gone there earlier for our wine. La Brucellerie great for a meal. Bikes hired from Bergerac cycle hire, google Apolo cycles. Best to book in advance but really helpful man there. Huge thanks to John and Lesley for providing such wonderful accommodation (they have thought of everything) and for being so warm and helpful all week. We have appreciated your many kindnesses. Hope to return soon.

Large family holiday, ages varying from 2-60. Beautiful house, great outdoor area with outside pergola and table plenty big enough to sit all 13 of us which was great. As in description location is very rural so definitely need cars - supermarket is 10 mins drive away. Estelle was very helpful leading up to our holiday, and during our stay. Answering all our questions and popped by to make sure we were happy with everything. Local area very pretty, but we stayed in August and everywhere was deserted! Apparently lots of places in France shut down in August. Very well equipped house for great holiday.

Excellent home and facilities. Everything exceeded our expectations. Lovely space. Catering: deicious - it was so lovely to arrive to hot food after a long journey and to not have to worry about shopping for the first few days. Friendly and approachable service. Our family gathering of 6 adults and a toddler was thoroughly enjoyed at this lovely villa. It is very large and spacious with huge bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. It was very generously kitted out, especially the kitchen which had more than enough for our large party. The grounds were very child friendly with safely gates and mainly level surfaces. It was ideally suited to access the lovely town of Pézenas which has an abundance of individual shops and places to eat. We would highly recommend it for a large group and wouldn't hesitate to return

We have enjoyed several wonderful visits to this most delightful property set in bucolic rolling countryside. The house is elegant and extremely comfortable, giving maximal privacy inside and out so that guests can enjoy the peace, whether swimming in the lovely pool, or just relaxing in shade or sun. There is also a lovely terrace for al fresco dining and a fabulous collection of books. The creation of the gardens is masterful . We loved the nearby market in Condom and the creamy stone architecture of the area.

The house was beautiful! Very characterful. Anything you need is present. Plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Contact was good and clear. This house is definitely recommended for your vacation!
We had a lovely time at Corinne's apartment. It is very clean, had all amenities for daily living, she has thought of everything. Beautiful, peaceful location, amazing balcony to relax on. Full shutters and blinds on all windows and doors for complete privacy. It is a very calm and peaceful place to unwind and short walk to restaurants and right on the beach. Massive supermarket directly opposite which sells everything you could ever need including excellent seafood. Highly recommended.
