A perfect stay for a family Christmas. Plenty of room for 10 people. Beautiful bedrooms and bathroom. A very family-friendly living room, a superb and functional kitchen. We found the property by chance a few years ago and have been back twice since and will be returning with our 4 and 6 year old kids again this July! We have come to think of it as our French home away from home. The house is beautifully located and the interior and exterior space makes for a fabulous family vacation. The pool on the lower terrace gives enough separation that you can keep the kids safely away and the pool alarm adds that extra level of comfort. The owners continue to maintain and upgrade the property well and the new BBQ area on the terrace gets used daily for those lunch and evening meals overlooking the valley. The short stroll to town is easy and avoids having to worry about cars and parking, although a glass or two of Provence wine helps with the walk back up the hill afterwards which could be a challenge for those less mobile. Most hire cars will fit up the lane to the house (we had a Volvo C90 last year and were fine) but if you have a very large people carrier it can get a little narrow to maneuver round the corner at the bottom. The house is perfect for one or two families to enjoy a wonderful escape.
Great stay in Porticcio the children loved to do it again I highly recommend this establishment.

We have had a wonderful week in your fantastic home. It has been so peaceful and tranquil here by the pool. Seeing the amphitheatre at Nîmes and canoeing under the Pont Du Gard were the highlights.
A true haven of peace! We had an unforgettable stay in this magnificent country house. The swimming pool is perfect for cooling off and soaking up the sun, while the large terrace offers stunning views of the village. The house is spacious, well equipped, and the atmosphere is calming, ideal for recharging your batteries away from the hustle and bustle. A place that I highly recommend for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

Mostly enjoying the weather and pool! We have seen the red squirrel, lizards, water vole and many birds. It's so peaceful and beautiful, we will miss it.
I loved being here for two weeks and being able to use the pool nearly everyday! I haven’t swum recently so it was a great chance to practice. I enjoyed spending time with you and my family in the sun. I hope I can see you soon.
We have recently returned from our wonderful trip to Dordogne which we thoroughly enjoyed. Sia and Paul were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Maison Montratier was a beautiful place to stay when visiting this wonderful part of the world. We would highly recommend this home and area to our family and friends.

We had a fabulous time. The house and the pool were wonderful. Used this as a base to explore Narbone and Le Somail. Cédric was fantastic. Nothing was too much for him to help with.

We stayed for one week and we cannot wait to go again. When we arrived we were surprised how spacious and homely the villa was and it has amazing views. It is wonderfully located about 5- 10 minutes walk from the centre of Callas which is a typical Provençal village. We really enjoyed walking there every morning to buys our bread and croissants for breakfast. There are also some very good restaurants in Callas. The pool is lovely and we even swam every day in May. We ate in the garden and it is wonderfully quiet and tranquil. The region is full of breathtaking views and there is loads to see and do. We went to the Gorge du Verdon (Europe's Grand Canyon) and the beach at Saint Raphael and Juan les Pins. We had a really brill holiday and hope to return.
We had a great time at Le Paradis Secret. Very clean, great location and made to feel welcome.
We had a wonderful stay! The grounds are very spacious and we received a warm, friendly welcome. The gîte was well equipped with everything we needed. The Wi-Fi was externally disrupted before and during for our stay but the owner had already organised an alternative, which was much appreciated. The pool was fantastic, with lots of pool-side paraphernalia to use, and we also enjoyed making use of the gym. The owner kindly provided us with fresh eggs and delicious, meaty courgettes – such a treat! Their young Bernese dog is absolutely adorable, though still very much in training and at that cheeky teenage stage. All in all, a lovely stay, and we’d love to return one day.
The host met us on arrival and not only gave us a tour of the apartment but also the entire building and surrounding areas. The apartment was spotless, beautiful modern design with all amenities and so close to the beach. Most importantly for us it catered to a young baby with a high chair, cot, baby bath and even bath toys. Finally the location is immense if you wish to explore the French Riviera. We did day trips in our rental car both East and West from the apartment including Eze, Cannes, Antibes, Nice, St Paul de Vence, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Menton, Monte Carlo and Cap Ferrat. Thank you for giving us a perfect holiday.
After months of searching for the perfect 'retreat' we arrived at Le Presbytère! Exactly what we envisioned for our first trip to France with out kids. We have so enjoyed the pool, pond and of course, the whole place. We visited every bastide and market and cooked to our hearts content. Such an exquisite spot - we know the area very well - but rarely left this spot; instead played games, spotted frogs and foxes and explored every inch of this 'fab' property. Perhaps a X-mas visit next?! Many thanks for sharing this beautiful home - we hope to return soon. Gary and Louise were great - close at hand but unintrusive.
We had a great time at this big house. It is very well-equipped for a dozen people. The pool is very appreciated, as well as the amenities offered (pétanque, badminton, ping pong...). Shops are accessible by car. The environment is very quiet, overlooking the fields and the forest which makes the house all the more pleasant.
We had a fabulous week at the property and could not have asked for a better venue or a more convivial, friendly and helpful host. It was a pleasure to meet you and I can only stand back and admire your dedication, determination and fortitude in creating your dream property which came through so clearly in our conversation on the final morning before we left. It was a good holiday... enjoyed by all... but without doubt the venue and host were the stars of the show and we are so pleased to have had this opportunity to spend time with you and discover the area. We had a very good stay at La Ferme Éclaircie which met all our expectations. We were very grateful for the initial supplies ( tea, coffee, wine , orange juice, loo paper etc ) which make a huge difference. The information pack - which was really useful. The maps. And the house was delightfully furnished and well supplied. We loved the area.
Everybody in the group is very happy over the stay. We have enjoyed the pool and the shade on the huge terrace, especially these hot days. We very much agree that you have a fantastic home. We would love to come back another year.

Many thanks for a wonderful stay at Malardier and thank you also for your kind hospitality on Wednesday evening. We loved visiting the château at Bourdeilles and also spent a very pleasant morning at Aubeterre sur Dronne so would thoroughly recommend both. We loved the peace and tranquillity of Le Malardier, the sense of history and wonderful views and truly hope we will have the opportunity to return in the future.
We stayed in the Maison des Artistes for 2 weeks at the end of June and had a fantastic holiday. There were 5 adults and 2 kids in our party and the house had plenty of room for everyone’s differing needs. The photos of the listing are absolutely spot on in terms of accuracy! The outside space really is big. It had plenty of chairs/loungers/covered day beds. Fantastic outside table for al fresco eating. The pool was beautiful. We had a couple of minor issues with the pool during our stay due to a couple of severe storms in the area but Colin and Mel were very prompt at dealing with these. The gas BBQ was spotlessly clean when we arrived, which you often find to not be the case. Internally there is air conditioning in each room. The whole house has electric shutters which are great for blackout blinds to get some good sleep and also keep the house cooler. Beds very comfortable, nice linen wear on all beds. Towels were all brand new. Generous and lovely welcome basket was there for us on arrival. Colin and Mel met us on arrival at the property and gave us a very quick run down and left us to it. They were a pleasure to deal with throughout our stay when we did have any queries or minor issues. Kitchen was very well equipped for large parties, loads of plates, utensils, cookware etc. Good supply of kitchen basics. Lovely toiletries in bathrooms. Very quiet peaceful location. In summary one of the best properties we have ever stayed in over many years of holidaying abroad
We have enjoyed a 2-week stay at Laserne gite. We were Pete’s first guests last year and our second visit has been as special as our first stay. Pete has been a delightful host, checking on us daily to make sure everything was OK. The pool has been such a delight in this hot and sunny weather. The highlights of our stay are the wonderful views from the gite and the tranquillity of furniture and fittings.
Had a great stay for the week. Villa was great, very spacious, pool was excellent. Excellent communication from start to finish, was greeted on arrival and Paul was on hand to help and support when needed for advice on tourism spots on what was going on around town. Great location to Béziers and Narbonne. Villa was spacious and felt like a home from home. Location in the village is really safe and quiet. I would highly recommend.
Gorgeous villa with a breathtaking views! The villa was modern with quality features. The kitchen with an outsized breakfast bar opens up to a comfortable living room that overlooks a spectacular 180° view, which we enjoyed from sunrise to sunset. You can walk to town within 5 minutes, although there is a steep portion of the road, which has a large selection of gourmet restaurants and light shopping. We highly recommend this villa.
