This is the second time we had spent time at this property so we were a bit more familiar with area. I struggle to think of a better location to holiday than this area of Provence, it has everything, beautiful countryside, restaurants, vineyards and historic villages. One eats outside all the time as the evenings are warm and balmy and in this respect this property is blessed with a superb view looking across the valley to Vaison-la-Romaine and the Dentelles in the distance. There is complete privacy with the nearest neighbour being a considerable distance from the house. Inside the house is spacious and beautifully laid out contrasting with its former farmhouse origins. If you want relaxation but with loads to do in the area then I really cannot think of a better place to stay for a summer holiday.

I am enormously lucky to have spent 3 weeks of my holiday in the beautiful villa in Carcassonne. While you can see for yourself all the beautiful rooms and design I would particularly like to thank s the owner for all the amazing ideas and suggestions she came up with to make our time here so great. We love the pool, the snug, the art and books. The location is perfect. I will miss it and hope to visit again. Beautiful.
This is the ideal destination for an outdoorsy type holiday. The walking is superb and the scenery is magnificent. It is, quite frankly, a bit of a wrench to be leaving.

Fantastic villa in very good condition! Very helpful and responsive on a few questions we had. The pool is incredible, nice and deep for kids practicing their jumps!
After 2.5 years in the making, everything conspired against us. Well worth the wait! The Loft is exactly as expected and the welcome even better! We loved the ambiance, the garden and the area after the last months of lockdown etc - it has been wonderful. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity - the mobility aid was indispensable and the evening spent getting to know you both was great. Can we also thank you for your incredibly comprehensive welcome pack. We enjoy cooking and we’re very grateful for the extras. Thank you Karen, for delivery on day one - BREAKFAST WAS BRILLIANT! We have really enjoyed the garden - a lot of hard work, we know, but much appreciated. We do hope we keep in touch as we will miss Russell’s lengthy epistles - always a good read! He should write a book; maybe the history of your home with the trials and tribulations of renovating thrown in (‘A Year - or Two - in Minervois’, perhaps?). If you are ever back in the region, you know where we are!

The house and the grounds are fantastic. The rooms were all spacious and we particularly appreciated the bedroom set up with interlinking rooms from the nursery. We really enjoyed exploring the grounds and went for walks/runs. The children loved exploring the forest area. The swimming pool was fantastic. Loungers etc comfortable. The kids loved the swings etc and the playroom was well stocked. Everything we needed was here. The food was delicious and we really appreciate you taking into account the intolerances. Wonderful House - fantastically equipped! We really appreciated the fans in the hot weather! The games room was superb - hardly saw the kids all week! Your recommendations in the purple pages were great. A very tasty trip to Royan for some seafood. Sitting on the terrace, looking over the views was beautiful.
We, two couples, stayed the last week of June and the first week of July in Les Oliviers du Sud. We found modern comfort in an authentic environment in the well-equipped holiday homes Maison Carrée and Joie de Vivre. You can rightly say that you enjoy life here. Privacy, beauty, friendliness, a lovely swimming pool, the beautifully maintained gardens... it all comes to you here. And what we also appreciated very much: we arrived in a house where the basic necessities were present (such as coffee, tea, herbs and olive oil) and a nice bottle of wine and delicious (home-made!) cake were ready for us, which made us feel really welcome. Moreover, the area is also very attractive. From the tranquility of the domaine you drive to the liveliness and versatility of Avignon and Villeneuve and for example to Orange. The markets are very charming in the smaller towns nearby and there is also no shortage of nice restaurants. We really had a wonderful time, certainly also because of the friendliness of the owners.
For once, the house was better than the photos ! Quality and tasteful interior and magnificent garden. Well maintained pool. Lovely countryside walks nearby. Great local restaurants. Don't miss a visit to Minerve, a traditional Cathar town. A fabulous holiday.

We had a wonderful time at Vero and Thierry. The house is beautiful and very well decorated. The outdoor facilities are excellent and have everything you need. Because the weather was so nice we spent most of our time by the pool and ate all our meals there. There is a supermarket and two bakeries 5 km away and Poitiers is easily accessible for sightseeing and restaurants. We're already talking about going back. I highly recommend staying here.
We chose this property because of the pool and the outside space and we were not disappointed. It is such a glorious place and it made our holiday so special. It is all so well looked after and the owners have thought of so many things. You can tell they are very proud of it. We loved using the coffee machine and the homemade jam was delicious. We loved our evening BBQ's on the terrace under the canopy, but jumping and playing in the pool was the best. Memories made for a lifetime. Merci beaucoup.

Had a lovely stay here! Really pretty, sociable, stylish villa with amazing views from the terrace. Great location - short walk to shops and short drive to surrounding towns / beaches / lakes.
First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. We had a wonderful week. A lovely cottage set in a beautiful garden surrounded by picturesque countryside. We would highly recommend Mas Saint-Martial to families looking for a cosy base with a lovely pool and plenty of facilities to entertain the whole family.
Very good welcome. Cleanliness of the house, space, functionality, pool safety, baby equipment, everything was there. The surrounding setting of course is wonderful. Quality restaurants close by. Family stay that we were able to fully enjoy. Recommended, to be repeated.
We had a lovely two weeks in this beautiful old French farmhouse with its heavenly views and surrounded in wonderful countryside. We have spent most of our time in the garden, playing bolles, swimming, water ball, table tennis and using the pool table, enjoying leisurely meals on the terrace with great views. Trips out to Vaison la Romain, daily trips to the boulangie, wonderful walks, some brilliant bike rides for children and adults alike. We have seen some wonderful wildlife around the area, geckos, cicadas etc. We are sad to leave but hope to return one day.
We spent a week at Villa Valente. We liked it so much, that we would love to return next year.
Des vacances attendues... pour ce coin secret... Un séjour très reposant. Une superbe région. Des visites à nous couper le souffle. Le gouffre de Padirac excellent... Grotte de Lascaux, Sarlat, Rocamadour, Le Rocher des Aigles. Le Labyrinthe du Bugue. Tout était parfait. Une maison pleine de charme qui nous a inspiré pour notre futur bien immobilier. Frédéric et Marilou sont des hôtes formidables toujours de bon conseil du coup nous reviendrons l'année prochaine. Un grand merci.
We arrived at a large house that matched well and even more to what the photos showed. This is the first time we have found a vacation rental with so many dishes and kitchen supplies. As we were a large family with a few small children, this environment greatly favored the well-being of our stay. We sincerely thank our host for this generous sharing.
