We had a lovely stay, thank you. The restored watermill was beautiful and very well equipped.
A beautiful fun filled 7 days in this amazing house. Thank you. Equipped for all 8 of us. Kids swam everyday, favourite game of the week. Dads throwing balls high/low/long and making the biggest splash. Parents enjoying evening games of scrabble over a few too many. Lots of towns and markets visited. We plan to back back to make even more memories. Thank you.
Wonderful stay, 5 children and 8 adults all found happiness. Bedroom, bathroom, very spacious living room as well as a pool terrace perfectly arranged for everyone and the little extra of an outdoor kitchen with barbeque. The proximity is very quiet, in the countryside but at a very correct distance to do activities. We thank the host for making this villa available for our holidays. We recommend without hesitation. We had a lovely time at the villa it’s beautiful and the pool and gardens are amazing. We have been coming to France for many years and always stay somewhere different and this is the first time we said that we would consider returning to a property. Everything seems to have been thought of. Inside the place is spacious as well, with separate quest rooms. The house is very suited for a large family and/or 3 couples due to the lay out. The master bedroom is huge and the separate bathroom is very luxurious and also spacious. The place is very suited for a nice formal dinner in the separate dinning room. We ate outdoor all the time but the inside is very nice too. My little one had to chose between the grand piano and the pool, a mayor dilemma. The pool is large enough to swim in it and not only to play around in it. It is surrounded by lavender bushes for a true French experience. Duras is in the neighborhood, there you can find a few shops, bars and restaurants such as bakers, a butcher, pizzeria and a supermarket. You should visit the Castle of Duras, it’s a recommendation definitely if you have kids. All and all, I should not recommend it too much…. so we can keep it to ourselves!

Wow! what a start to the summer. Very hot, lovely weather, plums aplenty (from garden trees), walks to Eglise de Senezelles, daily visits to the bakery in Cancon, fab Monday markets, much swimming, pool/snooker, BBQs, card games, a very dramatic thunder storm and 18 wonderful books (from the Bosc Grand shelves) read collectively. The stuff of family holiday dreams. We hope to be back!
An exceptional setting. On a business trip for 3 days, I discovered very pleasant accommodation and two magnificent people. Thanks again to David and Kirstie for their welcome and kindness. I will not fail to recommend this pretty and pleasant house whether for a business trip or to come and rest with the family.
We would like to thank you with all our warmth for letting us inhabit your wonderful house for a whole previous week. The grounds and the pool are wonderful and we have spent many happy hours wandering, picking blackberries', sunbathing, swimming, talking, reading ... the house worked its magic again!

Memories: The views from the house. The wind, like a freight train through the mountains! Wednesday night pizza van. Minerve – nice and quiet (La Terrasse for eats). The front shower – I want this in my house! The fridge/freezer – cold water and ice on tap – something else we'd want in our house. Lazy days by the pool with a pot of coffee and a book. Villa Lavinière has everything we needed, and more. What a lovely house. Definitely one we'd come back to and recommend to friends.
This is our second time coming to David and Kirstie's place to enjoy a long weekend with friends. Everything is always great. Excellent accommodation, top hosts, top-notch environment! Loved our stay and can only recommend 100%! We'll be back again, that's for sure.

Hi future guest, The couple who own the property have poured so much love into every corner of the beautiful. home that you can feel it when you stay there. The place is so much more cosy and beautifully designed than the pictures give the impression. During our stay we said we wanted to listen to music and asked if there were speakers onsite. Karen and Russell said there wasn't but then went out and bought a pair for us to use! At one point we were cooking and I borrowed some olive oil, curry powder and a chilli pepper. I wanted to get a guitar and they told me where a fabulous music shop was and I ended up purchasing a beautiful guitar. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we felt beyond welcome. The place is a bit like a fairytale place, and they made our stay beyond what we imagined. It is an oasis and a sanctuary and close to many nearby sites such as Château de Rene and others. Highly recommend staying here.
This villa is beautiful. We had an exceptional week. Very modern hyper equipped with a very tasteful, high-end decoration. We were charmed by the villa. The owners are very nice. Very well located 15 minutes walk from the most beautiful village in France. We are used to renting prestigious villas. This one is undoubtedly in its place on the podium. I would even say on the highest step taking into account the kindness of Karine and Éric, the owners. We highly recommend!
Spacious and beautiful house and grounds. Shaded areas a welcome balance. Very child and baby friendly. Lovely pool. Everything thought of and provided for a 3 generation family. Toys / DVDs / Books perfectly stocked. Playroom and comfortable seating a huge bonus. The WII very much appreciated! Food delicious and in perfect quantities. Very helpful to have options - prepared and / or catered. Thoughtful and considerate catering for children.

We had a lovely holiday at Château Perigord and are now sadly back in the UK.
Fabulous, family and friends holiday rental. 10 of us recently stayed here for a group break. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The owners were so helpful and accommodating, they really made this a special place to stay. The house is beautifully furnished and comfy, the grounds are beautiful and there's lots to do in the area as well if you don't just want to lounge around by the pool soaking up some sunshine. Thoroughly recommended.
We have spent an excellent stay at this lovely villa, decorated with good state. The owner is charming. Generally, the house is very functional. However, the villa is for a maximum of 4 and not designed for more. Close to Pézenas, lovely town to go out. I heartily recommend this house.
Seven days of swimming, rounders, running, races, hide and seek and much more have delivered a break to remember, especially for the kids! And that, of course, makes a holiday for the adults. P.S. We saw a deer!
Lovely holiday home. This was the first time we had stayed in this area of Perigord. The house was fantastic, very large for 4 people and had a really good swimming pool. The house is only 2 km from the river which is also lovely to swim in. There is also a lake nearby at Grolejac as well if you prefer that. The property is in a quiet but central location with numerous beautiful towns to visit nearby (e.g. Domme and Sarlat) and lots of activities to enjoy. We had a great 2 week holiday here!
Kirstie and David are great hosts and the property is picturesque and beautiful. We highly recommend Maison Lanave.
Located in a beautiful environment by the Canal du Midi in a small village full of charm with its small stone bridge, restaurants and this incredible bookstore, this accommodation is perfect. Beautiful bedrooms with their own very spacious bathrooms, a very warm living room with its fireplace, beautiful ceiling height, a well-equipped open kitchen and pretty beams. A nice pool area, a large garden, lovely terrace are also worth highlighting. The hospitality is perfect. I highly recommend it.
