We had an amazing stay here in Narbonne! The photos you see are beautiful but the house is even better in person. It was so comfortable, beautiful decor, thoughtful touches (like throw blankets, baskets for market, plenty of closet space with extra hangers, extensive kitchen equipment, more...), gorgeous lighting and cozy/high quality bedding (so important when travelling). We felt so at home and enjoyed our down time while in the house! The sunroom was our sanctuary during our stay... our reading room while there... the natural light is so perfect with the back sliding window open and the breeze coming in! Heaven!
A rental that keeps its promises: the place is charming, the house pleasant and clean, the equipment very complete, the swimming pool with a magnificent view of the Dordogne. We received a very warm welcome and particularly appreciated the welcome basket. The geographical location is ideal for visiting from Sarlat to Bergerac and exploring the Dordogne valley with its magnificent castles, bastides and vineyards. We really liked your house (nothing disappointed us) and we will keep fond memories of this stay. The setting, the decor and the equipment make it a particularly appreciable place to stay.

We had a great holiday at Maison D'Aze, this is certainly one of the best houses we have stayed in over the numerous years we have holidayed in France and we will certainly be looking to book the property for future holidays.
We enjoyed a very special week in this outstanding house in the beautiful Burgundy Region. We would, of course, highly recommend it for wine enthusiasts (a topic about which we learned a lot!) but it also worked very well for us as a venue for an extended family get together. The experience was enhanced further by taking up the option of a 5 course catered dinner in the house one night which was absolutely first class.
Another amazing stay at Maison Baleyssagues where we were very warmly hosted by Frédéric and his team. Such a peaceful location, sitting proudly on the hill top with panaramic views. Very spacious gardens topped with a beautiful pool and it’s own water fountain. Inside the villa nothing is left to chance with a fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable bedrooms. Looking at the pictures only tell half the story, it’s a superb place, if you don’t book early you’ll miss your chance as this place is always full, I wonder why?
A lovely welcome from Frederic who made us feel very much at home. We soon settled into your beautiful villa and stunning surroundings. The pool was amazing and enjoyed by all. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. Bella: It was the best holiday ever! (Age 8).
Thanks so much for the restaurant recommendations - will look into doing that. We are having a fantastic time here. I think your house is possibly the best house we've stayed in in France over the years. Yes, it's just fabulous! We've had a really fantastic week here and I'm pretty sure we'll be wanting to come back next year. Your house has been so generous... I've read some books here, loved looking through the coffee table books too. Your welcome basket was the most generous we've ever received in any of the houses we have rented. Allowing us to use pool towels as well. And I know it sounds a bit like a hotel review but the bed linen / towels and bathrooms were just top quality! Taking a break from it now to start packing up! P.S. We went to Le Moulin for lunch and it was superb. We will be in touch to hopefully book same week again next year.

On our first house hunting trip we could not have me more friendly and welcoming people than you. La Jolie Vue does not only offer a magnificent view on the rolling hills, it was restored with much care and love !we thank you for your outstanding hospitality dare we say friendship. Villa Funel was spotless, the kitchen was well equipped, the beds comfortable and the whole place was light and airy. The DVD player and the large supply of films was great for late viewing. The pool area and garden were a delight. We had a lovely relaxing time. We will certainly return.

Many thanks for the gift of your time accompanying us to the winery Les Jamelles and the beautiful gift of wine as well. We all enjoyed the beautiful decorations inside the château - unique wall-papers and luxurious sheets, etc. Being surrounded by the vineyards and gardens and beautiful swimming pool added to the rich ambience.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! This is a beautiful property - perfectly set up for our family with a secluded pool area that makes you feel in the middle of the nature. Thanks especially to Meichelle - you were above and beyond by providing the most fantastic tractor for our nearly 2 year old to ride around the property - hours of entertainment for him and walkout for us! In fact it was brilliantly set up for children in general - incredibly thoughtful and well-catered for. We hope this will be the first of many visits!

A superb holiday villa that has the WOW factor. Great swimming pool and poolside area with large grassed area for games such as badminton and croquet for which the equipment is provided. Lovely quiet location with good facilities and things to do a short drive away. Would definitely stay again. Owner very helpful.
Where can we begin to tell you how wonderful your warmth and kindness have made our holiday so special at your beautiful Le Chambarru. Your renovations and thoughtful kitchen cooking utensils have such taste and quality that we all enjoyed cooking. The location has proven geographical delight. A lovely fortnight here in Ventenac-en-Minervois. The house and all of its wonderful facilities are exactly as billed and everything is in first class condition. We enjoyed eating at the 'Grillade du Château' - excellent meat cooked on a wood fire whilst being entertained by their chickens! We also explored villages by the Canal du Midi - Homps and Le Somail and went to the medieval village of Lagrasse which was excellent. Thanks to our excellent hosts, Eric and Dominique, they were extremely helpful and responsive to any queries we had. We recommend this place for a relaxing and comfortable holiday.
We returned to La Charmante Distillerie in July 2025 for three weeks after the most fantastic stay last year - and it felt just as special, if not more so, the second time around. Mark and Gary have created something truly memorable here: a place that strikes the perfect balance that is beautifully designed and endlessly comfortable, peaceful without being remote and thoughtful in all the ways that matter. Everything is designed to help you slow down and properly switch off. Our daughters, 13 and 15, instantly settled back into their favourite rhythm - hours in the pool, relaxing in the snug, making jewellery outdoors and enjoying the freedom the setting creates. And we did the same— café and a book in the early morning sun, long lunches and quiet evenings with a cocktail or two, followed by some stunning late-night stargazing. One of the real joys of returning was being able to explore the surrounding communes a little more, expertly guided by Mark and Gary’s thoughtful suggestions. From stunning local restaurants and distilleries, night food markets, artisanal crafts in Aubeterre, fascinating visits to beautiful Templar churches and an unforgettable day at the Bassins des Lumières in Bordeaux. Every recommendation was exactly what we didn’t know we were looking for. It made the whole experience feel richer and more connected. What once again made this visit even more meaningful was having Mark and Gary as hosts. They are the kindest, most generous and genuine couple. It’s rare to find a place that gets under your skin in the best possible way - but La Charmante Distillerie has done exactly that. Returning felt like coming home and we left feeling recharged, grateful and already planning our visit next year….....if Mark and Gary will have us. Its also hard not to repeat what we said after our first visit in 2024: we’d love to keep this our own little secret… but that wouldn’t be fair. It really is the perfect destination with the perfect hosts.
We had a wonderful time at Château Grandchamp de Chablis in Burgundy and will certainly be back. All details of both the house and the care of the guests are carefully thought through and attended to and we had the perfect combination of privacy and feeling attended to while there. The property is beautiful and the owners have wonderful taste. The grounds have a myriad of eating spots and activities including swimming pool, tennis, lovely walks and a feeling of privacy. The owners are gracious and eager to be sure you have the resources to make the most of your stay with their long experience and knowledge of the area. A special holiday to experience a French home of this level and explore the extensive area of Burgundy not far from Paris. A rare find indeed!
We loved our stay - we were in a mixed group and it worked really well as each couple had their own space and privacy, but there are wonderful spaces for entertaining as a large group. The pool area is stunning and the setting is calm, quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed taking the bikes on trips to nearby villages too!
We would just like to say a massive thank you for the week we have just spent at Pech d'aze. It truly is a fantastic home. We could have stayed another week so easily! It was so peaceful and every night we would watch the sunset from the field below with a bottle of wine and listen to the frogs singing from the pond. Weather was lovely and both of us made good use of the pool. We had a BBQ every night and left charcoal for the next lucky guests
Wow, wow, wow – when I first saw the pictures it looked gorgeous, but when we arrived the villa was even more stunning. We have had the most amazing week. Debbie and Brent are absolutely lovely and make you feel so welcome. The grounds were so picturesque. This was our first holiday with our 1 year old baby and we couldn't have wished for a better holiday. Thank you La Bastide!

Your house is lovely and we all had a relaxing and enjoyable week. I think I can safely say that in all the years of hiring holiday accommodation in France we have not stayed in such a well appointed and well equipped property. We are the first guests ever. We stayed 2 weeks. We were welcomed so kindly and friendly. The hosts you can ask everything. They are very helpful. The house is big but for 12 to 15 people very spacious. We were 3 families. Enough space. Everything is in the house. You don't have to bring anything. Outside the swimming pool is great. The 6 children were very happy. Great garden with tomatoes and figues. Thank you very much! It was excellent / super.
