Thank you for being the best host ever. You have been so helpful and generous with your thoughtful gifts and help. We've had a super time in the house, made some fabulous meals, enjoyed al fresco dining and of course the pool! We enjoyed exploring especially Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.
The property was absolutely wonderful and the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. I would recommend staying there to anyone. I will definitely be back to stay there again.
A more tranquil spot in France you will not find. The house has 360-degree views across stunning French countryside that rolls and undulates towards a backdrop of the Pyrenees. It feels like you're a million miles from the stresses and strains of modern life, another world and yet within 20 minutes drive you can be in a huge supermarket that will cater for all your needs. The house itself is incredibly comfortable, with all mod cons. It sleeps 14 people in great comfort, including in two well-appointed cottages in the grounds. And yet it retains its cosy feel. Some days we lazed by the pool and ate our meals on one of the terraces, other days – when it was cooler - we lit the fire and settled in. It's genuinely as comfy inside as it is outside, which is not always the case in French holiday lets. Our young children were in heaven. When not swimming or playing tennis, they roamed the five acres of immaculately kept grounds, building camps, rowing on the small lake. There's snooker croquet and table tennis too, if it's wet. And then of course there is the party room. Set well away from the grown-up bedrooms, the party room has a bar, DJ–quality speaker system and a proper disco – glitter ball, lights and all. Incredible fun. You really won't want to leave the château and grounds at all – it's a self-contained little hill-top world - but if you do have itchy feet then there are lots of walks nearby, or you can visit one of the many beautiful French towns nearby (Mirepoix market is a must). I cannot wait to return.
We have had a fabulous time at Villa Baleyssagues. The house itself is beautiful, just as advertised but in reality far much better and exceeded our expectations. We have spend mots days by the pool and in the pool, having experienced great weather, taking full advantage of the equipment and facilities available to us at the Villa. The surroundings and grounds are stunning providing us a relaxing and peaceful . We are very sad to be leaving after a very memorable and enjoyable holiday. We will definitely looking to book an other holiday here as soon as we can.
A wonderful week in the villa! The sun has shone and we've made the most of the pool! Very welcome relief from the heat. Villa is very well appointed - everything has been thought of. Local team were great, a quick response to our queries. We explored Pezanas and the beaches at Portiragnes and Sète - both fabulous! We agree - the welcome wine was a lovely thought - a good introduction to local wines! Thank you for a great week!

Idyllic, total relaxation It was our first time visiting Charente and we absolutely loved La Charmante Distillerie. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. The pool area and terraces had amazing views and so tranquil. The interior was beautifully furnished and we liked the nod to the old distillery and its history. There were plenty of activities for the family and we really enjoyed star gazing with the telescope provided. Mark kept the grounds and pool immaculate. We appreciated access to the herb garden and fruit trees. I would also mention the excellent internet coverage which meant that our teenagers were happy in the den in the loft, and the younger kids loved playing in the sandpit and on the climbing frame. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Thank you both so much for a magical 5-night stay. We have absolutely loved staying here and will miss it when we go home! The gîte is amazing, beautiful inside and out. We really appreciate all of your efforts for making our stay so comfortable. Such a lovely touch having fresh bread, eggs and veg from your garden waiting for us - perfect. We loved feeding the chickens and the horse! Thank you also for all the recommendations on what to see and where to go, Russell. We will definitely be back!
Just wanted to say what a wonderful property Moulin de Terrac is. We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. Probably the best property we have stayed in since we started holidaying in France 16 years ago. And also what a great manager Bonnie was – really helpful and friendly.
We absolutely LOVED IT! There was so much to do here we couldn't leave. We ended up spending way more time here than planned! Very well equipped and in a very relaxed environment. Would highly recommend to everyone! Thanks so much for having us!
Thanks for the welcome pack of wine, water and coffee. The house is excellently located to explore the old town of Pézenas. Check out the Saturday market, it's incredible. The house and pool are great, comfortable and well laid out.
We were able to enjoy staying at this charming house, our stay was lovely, thank you for this.
Thank you again for the wonderful time in this very nice location. Although it was our 2nd time here, there was and is still much to explore in Occitanie! One of the favourites was the canoe trip on the Orb river (canoe-tarassac.com). We can clearly recommend it to all future visitors of this holiday house. Not to forget the beaches nearby, Château Négly if you want to taste and purchase local wine, and last but not least the swimming pool.
We had a wonderful holiday here in glorious Sarlat. The house is perfect with beautiful furnishings, well equipped kitchen and amazing showers. The pool was just what was needed after a long days exploring the wonderful sights of the Dordogne (Gouffre de Padirac being a highlight) The location of the house is perfect, walking distance into town yet very peaceful surrounded by a beautiful mature garden. We hope to return next year. Thank you Jackie and Geoff for a wonderful holiday.

We could not have made a better decision than to come to Villa La Baronne to spend the end of the year. The house is magnificent, the location unbeatable both for the surroundings (the river, the forest, the small towns...) and the proximity to Toulouse. What would you tell your friends about your holiday ? It was a very pleasant stay. A very quiet house, very well equipped, with a much-appreciated pool. Beautiful scenery. What was the best thing about your stay ? The pool. The view over the landscape. The outdoor space. The air conditioning. What could we do better for your next stay? A pitcher/carafe (but perhaps we just didn’t find it). Were there any appliances you really wished you had? It was more than perfect. How was the comfort of your rooms, pillows, and beds? Impeccable. Do you have any comments on the garden, pool, plancha, etc.? Wonderful. Missing: the table game, and a tree under whose shade one could have lunch. How do you rate the information provided in this booklet? Perfect and complete. Is there anything important missing? One of our friends suggested an electric bike. Another thought that suggestion was excessive. How could we improve it? I note that the useful information, sometimes highlighted, already seems extremely well presented — also topographic details, routes, activities, plans for next year. Do you have any other comments to help us serve you better when you return next year? Looking forward to future visits. Final remark: We thank you for this very good stay in this very beautiful and interesting house, whose collection of books caught our attention.

I loved this holiday. I love sport so I sent most of my days in the gorgeous pool, I would practice my swimming and then float around and look at the blue sky. I loved the tennis court and spend hours practicing my forehand. The château is so pretty, it could have been made up. Any kid would love this place.
An exceptional discovery in Meursault! The property is finely furnished, clean and comfortable. Just a stone's throw from the center and various wineries. I highly recommend it to everyone! We will return soon! Well done.
