We had a wonderful time at your beautiful domain. We explored the region extensively, but would love to come back again to enjoy more of the peace and quiet here on your property. Exceptional house in an exceptional setting! The house is ideally located, away from the tourist crowds with magnificent hikes nearby but close enough to Apt for basic needs. The house is as pleasant indoors in bad weather as it is outdoors the rest of the time. The kitchen is very well equipped. The host was available before the stay to advise us on all logistical aspects. An on-site contact was also made during the stay.

Thank you for a lovely stay. The house is so comfortable and a great base to explore the region from. Highlights were Dinan, Le Mont-Saint-Michel and Faugères. We also loved driving through the countryside. The boulangerie in Bazouges-la-Pérouse was fantastic! We loved the welcome basket - it was such a thoughtful + helpful gift. Thank you for your warm welcome and kind hospitality. Such a beautiful house in a perfect position - view, outlook and peace. Though we have visited France many times... We were particularly charmed by Uzès. We hope that all of your future guests will be as impressed as we have been.
This house was fantastic! Inside it was like a show home, beautifully designed. The kitchen was the best equipped we have ever stayed in. The garden was well laid out with direct access to the shaded dining area, under the trees for shade and the pool. The views were stunning over the valley and the sunsets were breath-taking. A walk down to the dam is recommended where you can take adip in the river, too. We made trips to the sea which is circa 60 min and to local villlages. The local village is 5 min drive and has a friendly store well stocked, a café and newsagent. There is a litle van which pulls up at approx 10 am which sells bread and pastries. We would definitely recommend this house.

Everything you would need is provided for a perfect stay in this part of southern France. A range of seating areas throughout the garden and the pool were delightful. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable The hosts were charming, friendly and helpful, but very discrete.
We are so grateful that you have opened your home to travellers – Ann can tell you we have made few friends here in Béarn for many years, and your home has been just perfect!! Already planning a return, but know that your home made our vacation complete. A bientot!

Everything was made so easy for us - the Loft is fitted out perfectly with so many additional little touches that we wanted for nothing. We particularly enjoyed the barbecue, the fantastic coffee machine (we're buying one when we get home!) and having breakfast and dinner on the amazing terrace. We had a good look round the local area and were particularly grateful for all your tips and recommendations. You have both been the most wonderful hosts and we have really enjoyed getting to know you over a glass of something cold! Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
Great house, pictures on the website don't do it justice. Fantastic feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, even though you are not. Great supermarket around the corner.
We had a lovely time in this fantastic location. The villa is perfectly located. Our 3 favourite restaurants: 1, La Belle Etoile - La Roque de Gageac 2, Hôtel Dieu 3, La Romane Thank you Jackie and Geoff. A lovely home with character and a real French charm.
We had a wonderful stay in the Farmhouse. The weather wasn’t always as perfect as we hoped it would be but the gym, the tennis court and even the excellent piano kept the family fully occupied on the days we could not use the pool. The boys loved exploring the woods above the farmhouse and the parents enjoyed the wines. We were very happy to get a wine tasting on our first day (and we soon realised we needed an extra pitcher so we could water down the delicious grape juice to avoid the kids bouncing off the walls). Very enjoyable facilities and extremely gracious hosts! Thank you. P.S. We can recommend the tree-climbing park at Thoiré.
We loved the villa, everything was perfect. The children loved it and my 3 year old son refuses to go home. Beautiful fruit from the garden.

We had a lovely week in this quaint house. It was secluded with a lovely pool which was cleaned twice during our week. Which was ideal as it was quite windy. We had no faults with our stay and the owner was helpful when required. I would like to point out that air conditioning is only downstairs, kitchen and bedroom with pull out sofa bed in. There was an air conditioning unit in the top bedroom which was satisfactory. That would be my only comment on what was a lovely week that it should be clearer in the description where it is.
Our holiday at La Charmante Distillerie was absolutely superb! Mark and Gary were superb hosts and made our experience incredible from the moment we booked until the moment we left! We will definitely return for another holiday, because it was by far the best place we have ever stayed. The attention to detail was brilliant, and we were made so comfortable from start to finish. They have put so much effort into making this an incredible holiday villa and they couldn’t do enough for us. It is 5 star+ in every respect. A beautiful villa in a quiet location with so much around to explore. Thanks Mark and Gary for making our family holiday one we will remember forever, and we will return soon to enjoy it all again!
We had an absolutely lovely time. The villa is very comfortable and well equipped. The gym, large pool and garden are fantastic. I give this villa a score of 10 out of 10, we will be back next year.
