What a fantastic week we have had. Thank you so very much for your hospitality. Our son loved the trampoline and the swimming pool and our daughters loved playing under the shady trees in your beautiful garden. The roses are gorgeous and their smell filled our lazy days. Excellent home, beautiful garden, fantastic amenities nearby and we really enjoyed Saumur too. We hope to come again very soon please. Until then, merci beaucoup.

We have just had the most relaxing break in the best 5 star gîte. On arrival we were met by the owners Mark and Gary who were lovely providing a welcome package and drinks fridge which was a lovely touch The gîte itself is beautifully decorated and truly deserves its 5 star rating The pool and terrace area has everything you need with seating and dining area and a summer kitchen with barbecue and plancha It’s a peaceful and tranquil place to stay and we will definitely return
Our family of 7 adults (and a toddler) spent a blissful week here in August and we were all agreed that it was pretty well perfect for our family needs. We knew we were going to love it when Philippe showed us round then presented us with the welcome pack - by far the best we have ever received when renting a holiday home. His generosity throughout the week showed him to be an exceptional host in going the extra mile to make sure guests were happy and we very much appreciated this. The layout of the villa, as other reviews have detailed, is particularly good for adult groups as there are three separate buildings housing the bedrooms (all beautifully decorated) thereby giving space to retreat if necessary. Bear in mind, if you are four couples, that the pool house room is very compact compared to the other three bedrooms. We particularly loved the comfy outdoor furniture where we gathered in the evenings and the Moroccan seating area for peace and quiet. The pool is a good size and was used every day - of course - and the boys loved playing table tennis. We love to cook and found that the kitchen was very spacious with two sinks and a huge cooker. It was also so useful having a separate fridge / freezer in the pool house annexe as you so often find that there is not enough fridge space in villas. The barbecue area was just superb and used several times. There is lots to explore close by and we did venture out for an afternoon on the canal du midi but we loved the villa so much we pretty much stayed put - it just had everything we needed. The whole villa was clean, spacious and the furnishings were good quality. What an exceptional villa this is and thank you Philippe for being such a great host. We can't wait to go back.
We spent a fantastic week at Villa Bellara in September, as a family group of three couples. I agree with all the favourable comments about this property: the villa has an amazing amount of space; the location is quiet, but an easy walk to a good supermarket; the train station is conveniently close and made trips to Nice and Monaco really easy without a car. The walk up to Haut de Cagnes was steep but very worthwhile! The kitchen is extremely well equipped for enjoyable cooking followed by eating out on the terrace. The villa is immaculately maintained and we loved the heated pool. Jean Luc is a great host – very welcoming and happy to assist with any queries.
We all had a very enjoyable 2 weeks in La Montade, the villa was very well equipped and a beautiful setting. The weather was also brilliant!
Our stay was fantastic. I highly recommend this property. It is in pristine condition and everything is new. The sheets, towels and mattresses are luxurious. The house is very modern inside with all the comforts of a city home. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The house was impeccable. The pool is fantastic and the outdoor entertaining area is large and has great facilities. It is only a short walk to the town of Monségur. Here you can find a supermarket and local market. Christophe was always available to assist us with anything we needed. He answered our calls immediately. I highly recommend this property.
Really enjoyed our week staying in your lovely home. Setting beautiful. Countryside we managed to see some lovely deer and especially enjoyed the humming birds -so tiny. We managed to explore the local markets and some towns. The children loved the pool. Many thanks for everything.
It is difficult to put into words how special our stay has been. Everything about the Loft is first class and we are going to miss it dearly. On top of that, all your little touches have been incredibly helpful and generous. Above all though, you have been the most warm, considerate and welcoming hosts - you really could not have done anything else to help us. Having travelled extensively we definitely rate you as the best! Of course, we have loved exploring the area, including a wonderful trip to the Pyrenees, and we are very keen to get to know it better. Finally, the last word goes to Mack and Mabel - they are adorable and we have enjoyed sneaking down for cuddles. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.
We have had a fabulous week staying. The house is stunning and has provided us the perfect base to investigate the local area. We have all enjoyed the pool. Canoeing on the Dordogne was a fun family activity. We had a delicious meal at Palma Nova afterwards. We were lucky enough to be staying here when it was the annual brocante, fun to wander around. We also enjoyed food and music last night in the town hall square. A lovely end to our stay. Thank you Philip for your hospitality. À bientôt!
Exquisitely renovated French manor house. This house was exquisitely restored with close attention to period detail. It is perfectly curated and integrated with antique fixtures and objects d'art as well all the modern comforts you could want. The kitchen is one of the most well equipped I have ever stayed in so the owners must be cooks. There are lovely spots to sit throughout the gardens with comfortable furnishings. The house itself is perfect for large families or a selection of couples. The location is ideal for touring Chagny, Beaune and the rest of Burgundy. Sigrid was incredibly responsive, helpful, flexible and kind. I can not recommend the home and Sigrid highly enough. We had a completely charming and comfortable stay. Thank you again for sharing your lovely home.
Duras... I love cooking, the kitchen is wonderful and the city's market place is perfect for organising the perfect dinner.. the perfect kitchen is ready to prepare the table... the outdoor patio... the splendid terrace with a view of the valley or a dip in the swimming pool whilst having a barbecue!
We will look to revisit and recommend to others! The location was as tranquil and peaceful as explained and the surrounding village definitely is a hidden gem with beautiful views and an elegant design throughout. The private garden and pool area was not far from the villa and we enjoyed playing in the pool with the children, soaking up the sunshine on the sun loungers and grabbing a bite to eat in the seating area. The beach hut was very useful for storing water and snacks for the children, and the vast selection of inflatables added to the overall enjoyment. The villa itself was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The amenities were clean and easy to use to help contribute to a relaxing holiday. The additional items offered to accomodate our children, made the travelling process much more manageable which is greatly appreciated. The balcony offers an incredible view in which we would enjoyed every evening as the sun set. We were very lucky with the weather during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed the suggestions of sites to visit. Overall a very positive and enjoyable stay at Le Jardin Secret.
What a fabulous place to stay. The pool was a godsend in the heatwave the first week and sitting outside on the balcony late evenings was glorious. Well equipped, well located and unbelievable views. Thank you for a wonderful holiday – even if it did take 3 years to get here (thanks Covid!) it was worth the wait!

We have spent a wonderful week at the Loft du Vigneron. It has been an ideal base to tour from to see some most interesting places steeped in history. We enjoyed returning to the comfort of the Loft each evening - a true home away from home, equipped with everything we could want - and more! The Loft is beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. As a bonus, it has great lighting, a rarity in so many holiday rental properties. Good luck with the renovations. Maybe we can return some day and experience staying in the new rooms.
Le Presbytère genuinely exceeded our expectations in all areas. We primarily booked this property for the covered eating and relaxing area adjacent to a fabulous heated pool and the number of bedrooms. The history and setting of the property and it's views to the rear over beautiful countryside, were a real bonus and joy. The wildlife was of real interest to us all and the table tennis was played regularly by us all. Mark and Amanda were friendly and keen to help with any queries we had. Thank you again and in particular for providing the electric fans which were essential during such a hot period in July. We don't usually return to the same property on holiday but just might make an exception with Le Presbytère!
We’ve taken Villa Lavinière into our hearts from day one. The house, the pool and the surroundings are wonderful. We loved beautiful and peaceful Minerve, Perpignan and even rainy Carcassonne. The birds singing near the pool meant we didn’t even need the Sonos! Grand Café Occitan served fantastic wine and delicious food.
An exceptionally hot week - the pool was a delightfully refreshing respite from the heat. Highlights were: cycling to Chateau de Gavaudun - fairly hilly route to Salles - we returned the longer way through the woods to the east- a more gentle climb and lovely road back to the cottage. The Marche de Soiree at Salles on Wednesday evening - if you go, take your own plates, cutlery and glasses. We were treated to the local karaoke singers!! A lovely meal in Monflanquin at the Prince Noir, and a midnight swim back at chez nous. Thank you for a fabulous week in this homely house were there is everything you need.

We were a large family group and we had a great stay in this beautiful house combining the charm of original features and modern comfort. The kitchen is beautiful and very well equipped. What a superb and huge outdoor terrace where to spend great times with family or friends. Beautiful well maintained swimming pool in a superb garden with the bonus of the pétanque court. Very nice view of the castle of Margon. Hélène is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Everything is as described. You would not need more for a holiday. We recommend the property in total confidence.
If you're looking for French charm and a true get away, then Le Mas de Combet is the place for you. A beautiful house with everything you need for a trip away with family or friends (the accommodation in the barn is so handy for young familys too). The property has been lovingly and thoughtfully restored plus communication was spot on, it was easy to book and any questions I had were answered promptly.

We spent a wonderful week in the accommodation. We were able to take full advantage of the swimming pool and the outdoor space. The amenities matched the photos and everything was top quality. Where do I start?! Truly one of the most amazing places we’ve ever stayed. The property sits in a stunning location with beautiful mountain views yet is just a short drive from Limoux which offers everything you might need. It’s also a very easy and short drive to Carcassonne with all of its shops and attractions (and international airport). Close to beautiful Mediterranean coastline, the rugged Montagne Noir and the wonderful Pyrenees, there are too many amazing sights to list (or to see in one holiday)... if you can drag yourself away from Domaine de Nérige that is. The property itself is far beyond adequate description in words or photographs. It is utterly magical. Every aspect of the house itself and the experience it offers has been carefully and lovingly thought through by the hosts and the result is exceptional. It’s certainly not easy to achieve both elegance and comfort but they have, masterfully. As well as being entirely beautiful, the accommodation is impressively spacious- we stayed as two families over five of the bedrooms, but had we filled all bedrooms it would have felt no less spacious because of its clever and generous arrangement. It’s perfectly appointed, with an incredible kitchen with every gadget and utensil you could possibly want, an outdoor dining area with gas bbq and hot plate, luxurious towels and linen (including towels for the pool), music player, DVDs, outdoor games (table tennis, swing ball, table football, pétanque), pool table room and then there’s the swimming pool! An immaculately kept pool terrace with sun loungers, wooden pergola and even an outdoor shower. The swimming pool was fabulous for adults and children alike, being large enough for swimming lengths but also with a shallow end for the children. Kept as meticulously as the rest of the property, the pool is cleaned every morning. The hosts could not have been more helpful and welcoming from beginning to end. Due to travel disruptions we had to change the dates of our stay several times and the hosts were so accommodating and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Before we arrived Sandie had even arranged to do a grocery shop for us! She was also kind enough to arrange for a therapist to come to the house during our stay so we could have a much needed massage! I think it’s indicative of just how special this place is that everyone in our party fell entirely in love with it, children and adults alike. We can’t wait to go back.
