We've had a fantastic relaxing week, Immaculate facilities, superb hosts. What a beautiful place. We enjoyed the pool and playing pétanque.
Really brilliant week at Mas Saint-Cernin. We have loved the houses, garden, pool, views, sun-rises and sunsets, birds, red squirrels etc etc. The local towns are so pretty and the fantastic markets provided most of our food. Lots of coffee stops. Found it easy to do boulangerie trip. Intermarche just outside Castillonnes was an easy supermarket shop (done on Tuesday after visiting the great market where we got large boxes of peaches, apricots and haricot vert for 5 Euros. Great wine tasting at Les Verdots - wish we had gone there earlier for our wine. La Brucellerie great for a meal. Bikes hired from Bergerac cycle hire, google Apolo cycles. Best to book in advance but really helpful man there. Huge thanks to John and Lesley for providing such wonderful accommodation (they have thought of everything) and for being so warm and helpful all week. We have appreciated your many kindnesses. Hope to return soon.
We had two gorgoeus weeks in this fabulous farmhouse. The house is large and spacious with everything you would need. The hosts were so wonderful and made us fell very welcome - nothing was too much trouble! There is plenty to do in the surrounding area - lots of wonderful towns to explore, canoeing, swimming in the lakes and lovely walks. We were two families with 5 teenagers. We all agreed that we would happily go back!
We have had a wonderful week in this beautiful house in this stunning location. The sunflowers fields are just gorgeous and we will forever have fond memories of Gascony and the sunflowers. Our two week stay at this fantastic French villa has been the highlight of our summer. A massive thank-you must go to Philippe. From day one he has been an amazing host, bringing us personalised bread and breakfast pastries and taking Ed wine tasting. We loved our restaurant visit also organised by Philippe to La Tour in Montady. He has been our go-to for tourist information and local knowledge, from beach recommendations to where to buy a birthday cake. On top of that, our dogs (Bella and Luna) have loved him. The villa itself is gorgeous and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in. We’ve enjoyed days around the pool, barbecues in the evenings and games in the salon after many wonderful little excursions that surround Maureilhan. We do not want to leave! Mais c’est la vie!
Thank you so much for a much needed relaxing week in your beautiful home! We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here, especially time spent in the beautiful garden where we enjoyed the wonderful weather and had lots of fun - very enjoyable for my 5 year old! We had a thoroughly enjoyable family gathering at Le Presbytère. It is a beautiful, atmospheric, ancient house set in large grounds. A great place for peace and rest or equally perfect for a gathering of friends or family. We found it so relaxing to sit around in the garden or at the poolside and there is lots of safe space for the kids to play (table tennis, boules and of course the pool were great successes). The house is amazing - such a sense of history and unusual features like old tiles, fireplaces and a lovely old oak beam running across the upstairs landing. It's very roomy so, even if you are staying with a group, it never feels crowded. The surrounding area has lots of great restaurants and fresh produce from the markets. There is excellent cycling and walking around the network of country roads and footpaths. Also the various bastides (12th century fortified towns) are really fascinating. We loved Bonaguil, Monflanquin and Vilareal but there are so many to choose from and they all have their own character. It's also less than an hour to the Dordogne. We had such a great, relaxing and enjoyable time at Le Presbytère and we hope to return in the future. Thank you so much for an unforgettable holiday.

Great vacation spent in Le Mas de Combet! Quiet house in the countryside with a superb pool. We were able to enjoy all the amenities on site. Thank you to our host for their excellent welcome and availability throughout the stay. We really recommend this property for a week with friends.

We have had aan amazing 2 weeks here. Honestly this house is gorgeous. The sunsets here are like no others. Would recommend visiting local wine producers, cycling through the vineyards and generally exploring the local area. We also visited a bunch of markets up in the mountains and went to watch the Bastille day fireworks. Would love to come back soon!
This is the nicest house we have ever rented for a holiday, we were two families and it worked perfectly for us. So many activities at the house including bikes, table football, table tennis, boules, tennis court and a beautiful warm pool. There even more areas than the photos show including a great Pool, TV/ playroom. The grounds are stunning and views from the terrace a nset a sight to behold! Several beautiful towns are within half an hour's easy journey. Mike and Natalie who look after the house for the owner live a few miles away, nothing is too much trouble for them lovely people, lovely house, couldn't fault a thing! It was a privilege to have the opportunity to live here for a week. Pure relaxation. We had a very special holiday, once again, Pure France did us proud.
Many thanks for making our stay so enjoyable. Charming house, full of space and activities to satisfy travelers of all ages. We also loved the bike paths, visiting San Sebastian and Biarritz and the beach. Nice to show the horses to the baby and to pick fresh raspberries and figs from the trees and bushes. Excellent place for the dog too. Michel the chef was pleasant and accommodating, allowing us to discover the local cuisine. We will be back!
Rachel and Anthony made us feel welcome and were on hand, if needed, for any information. It was the best gite we have stayed at in twenty years of holidaying in France. Recommend taking train into Carcassonne from Bram. It is so easy and only 15 minutes or so.
Loved the location and the winding lane down to the property. Arrived to find a hidden and very private garden that was wonderfully lit at night and with a beautiful pool. Total silence and never saw or heard another person in the week we were there. If you’re looking for a quiet week away from the hassles of a hectic world, then this is the place for you!

We would like to say how much we enjoyed La Cigalière. The house and pool were lovely. Charlotte was most helpful and everything was just perfect for our holiday. We have been going to France for nearly 20 years and this definitely a go back to villa. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Vouvant is a delightful village with its interesting history and vibrant community.The guided walk of the village is recommended as well as a visit to the zoo - great for kids. Thank you so much Isabelle for letting us stay in your gorgeous house in Bordeaux. The house is huge and beautifully finished. It feels both luxurious and like a comfortable family home. Caroline made us feel very welcome and we really appreciated the grocery shop on arrival with several hungry children in tow. The pool was such a hit, especially when the weather got really hot. The area is stunning too. We will be back!
What a truly wonderful place!! Although the photos show a beautiful place, they do not do justice to the reality, which was perfection. The chateau, its grounds and the location are all outstanding and so big! Lots of walks and places to explore. Gaelle, the host, was there if we needed, answering emails very quickly and offering help and recommendations . We were a party of 15 with ages from 3 to 73. Everyone felt comfortable and well catered for. A perfect holiday!
We loved the setting, location and character of this beautiful house which we feel could tell many interesting stories (... if only walls could speak!). Our boys loved the pool and made great friends with the friendly tortoise. R. favours the name 'Toby' and B. likes 'Edouard'. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch for my birthday at Bistro Maritime and looking forward to dinner at Bistro Pharell for our last evening. Great days out exploring St-Émilion-Libourne. A great trip by train (so easy) to Bordeaux. The bassin de lumière is amazing if you have a wet day. We also loved watching the Mascaret from the house - so glad we were here on the 'right' day.
