We have enjoyed a 2-week stay at Laserne gite. We were Pete’s first guests last year and our second visit has been as special as our first stay. Pete has been a delightful host, checking on us daily to make sure everything was OK. The pool has been such a delight in this hot and sunny weather. The highlights of our stay are the wonderful views from the gite and the tranquillity of furniture and fittings.
A totally unique experience staying in a tower with a wonderful panorama view of the sea. You can spend hours sitting on the balcony, watching the tide go in and out and the ships coming into La Havre in the distance. At night when the tide is in, the sound of the sea is fantastic and almost feels like you are sleeping on the beach. The tower itself is nicely decorated, clean and kitted out with everything you might need for a holiday. The furniture and fittings are intelligently laid out to maximise the space at all levels so it doesn't feel cramped. Villerville itself was a charming, quiet seaside town with a few bistros and shops, perfect for escaping the usual hoards of tourists elsewhere on the Normandy coast. Definitely worthy of 4.5 star rating and only reasons for not getting 5 stars are lack of free parking on site (although plenty on the side streets behind the tower) and some evenings when the tide is out you get the occasional teenagers listening to music on the sea front until late at night.
Rabassie is heaven close by to Limoux at which there is a plethora of things to do; Swimming and tennis, running and boules, and the wicket takes spin if you follow the rules! A holiday so special, it was planned years ago, and we dreamed of the sunshine during last winter's snow. But the reality's far better than anyone thought, it's a place in a million and we wanted for naught. Grandparents, parents and five grandchildren too, we laughed and we played all the day through; but when we were thirsty the beers were imposters lacking the 'nectar of wonderful Fosters'! The house wants for nothing, its completely equipped, the mind boggles as to how it could all have been shipped. The kitchen has everything, including a spurtle, and the only sound heard is the meowing of Myrtle! Despite sporting distractions for all of us folks we were glued to the tele watching Ben Stokes. It is lucky our neighbours were only wild boar 'cos his winning four caused a deafening roar! But all of this fun could not have happened each day had it not been for Natalie and Mike and their way; No problem too great, no trouble too small, with charm and great knowledge they dealt with it all. Merci, merci, merci!
Unfortunately we could not meet Eva but we were welcomed by Harold who is a very nice person. The house is very pretty and very pleasant. The rooms and the living room are very spacious. The terrace area with its plancha, the pool with its small beach and the deckchairs to relax are very appreciable.
We had a fabulous holiday, thank you ! What a lovely location; very peaceful but within easy access of a variety of places to visit - Nice, Saint Paul de Vence, Vence, Grasse and everything to offer along the French Riviera. The house is large and comfortable with space for families or groups of friends to spread out. There is ample outside space to enjoy - around the pool, behind the house to have shade and beside the kitchen for a morning cup of coffee. The view from the pool is stunning allowing one to see a huge distance along the coast - that will live long in our memory!

We stayed at Maison Rohmer for a week at the beginning of September 2017. The house was delightful and the pool area very beautiful. We had a brilliant week with fantastic weather. We loved the village of Gordes so magical and magnificent. Market day on Tuesdays is a must. There is so much to see and do though I must admit we did a lot of lazy days by the pool. Things I would recommend a visit to Domaine De La Citadelle vineyard, beautiful wines and a very informative talk on how they produce. We also had a fabulous canoe trip with canoe evasion at Fontaine-de- Vaucluse. It's a must. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back one day.
Thank you for a lovely stay. The house is so comfortable and a great base to explore the region from. Highlights were Dinan, Le Mont-Saint-Michel and Faugères. We also loved driving through the countryside. The boulangerie in Bazouges-la-Pérouse was fantastic! We loved the welcome basket - it was such a thoughtful + helpful gift. A wonderful first week to our holidays. The house is wonderfully renovated and has everything a family can wish! We also had the chance of a very warm weather which gave us plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great terrace and had al fresco dining every day. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful property. PS: The Auberge St Jean is a must eat in the area!
We stayed for one week and we cannot wait to go again. When we arrived we were surprised how spacious and homely the villa was and it has amazing views. It is wonderfully located about 5- 10 minutes walk from the centre of Callas which is a typical Provençal village. We really enjoyed walking there every morning to buys our bread and croissants for breakfast. There are also some very good restaurants in Callas. The pool is lovely and we even swam every day in May. We ate in the garden and it is wonderfully quiet and tranquil. The region is full of breathtaking views and there is loads to see and do. We went to the Gorge du Verdon (Europe's Grand Canyon) and the beach at Saint Raphael and Juan les Pins. We had a really brill holiday and hope to return.
I just want to send you a quick message to say what a lovely holiday we are having in your charming house. It looked fabulous from the photos but in fact, on arrival it really surpassed our expectations. We really appreciate the beautiful environment and also the rare fact that it was very well stocked with all those things one normally needs to rush to the supermarket to buy: loo paper, soap, dishwasher tablets and the like. I just wanted to let you know what a lovely place this is and to say thank you.
Large house with beautiful swimming pool. Well-equipped kitchen with, among other things, plancha outside, very pleasant! We also enjoyed the barbeque. All amenities are available. We were with 6 adults and 8 children, at the limit but certainly feasible. Thank you for the air conditioning in the rooms - electricity costs are always paid separately
What a wonderful holiday at this amazing Villa. Firstly, a big thank you to the owners who were amazing and answered all our queries and were very fair minded when checking out. This really is a luxury apartment and everything was as stated. The pool is excellent as well as the hot tub. The are lots of eating areas and plenty of room to sunbath on the decking. I can recommend taking advantage of the visiting chef - he was excellent. The property has aircon which works extremely well. The kitchen is amazing with every mod con you could want and well appointed with kitchen equipment. The welcome book was very useful and covered everything. There are plenty of fridges and freezers and one outside which was very useful. We were 7 adults and three young children and we fitted in very well and never felt cramped. Some of the walks nearby are very good. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough and we will definitely be returning
We all had a lovely time. The accommodation was so huge that we could all find space when we wanted that and a communal get-together when desired. Our son-in-law really enjoyed cooking on the Aga and produced some spectacular meals. Needless to say that we all had fun in the pool on sunny days.
Thank you ever so much for such a wonderful stay at Camirout. We have all had a fabulous time, enjoying the fine weather, exploring the local area, sampling the delights of the local restaurants and village ‘feasts’/night markets; participating in medieval festivals (a particular favourite!); and most of all – relaxing by the pool. You have both been incredible - from your patience over the booking; your reassurances over Covid in France, and the amazing steps you've taken to protect your guests, ( we cannot imagine anyone could do more ), to providing my daughter with a very much appreciated birthday cake ( delicious, by the way ). Always being at the end of the phone and let's not forget the incredible 'Loft' - it is beautiful - calm and relaxing, spotlessly clean. Your attention to detail is excellent. We have had such a wonderful stay at Cottage du Jardin here in beautiful Périgord Noir. It has been the perfect base for exploring this stunning region of France. During our time here, we've enjoyedvisiting the charming nearby villages and towns, including Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, Montignac, Les Eyzies-de-Tayac, Domme, and the beautiful villages of Fanlac and Saint-Géniès. Highlights include: the fascinating Lascaux IV, the peaceful gardens of the Manoir d'Eyrignac, the impressive Château de Beynac and the breathtaking views of the Dordogne River from Domme, Beynac and La Roque-Gageac. We also walked locally, taking in the scenery of the village, the Vézère River and even strolled to see the Château de Losse. Our holiday has been extremely relaxing -- just what we needed. Thank you Caterina and Steve for a delightful stay in such a beautiful cottage and for your welcome and friendliness. We will be back!
The host met us on arrival and not only gave us a tour of the apartment but also the entire building and surrounding areas. The apartment was spotless, beautiful modern design with all amenities and so close to the beach. Most importantly for us it catered to a young baby with a high chair, cot, baby bath and even bath toys. Finally the location is immense if you wish to explore the French Riviera. We did day trips in our rental car both East and West from the apartment including Eze, Cannes, Antibes, Nice, St Paul de Vence, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Menton, Monte Carlo and Cap Ferrat. Thank you for giving us a perfect holiday.
An amazing house in a part of France which is so rich of culture, beauty, villages, churches, fields of sunflowers and I must say, it is difficult to leave the house... real stylish home. The kitchen inspires to cook, the outside place gives you the opportunity to swim, read, eat, enjoy the sun. The bedrooms, mattresses and linen and perfect.
