We have had a brilliant holiday! Loved the villa and pool and the surrounding area. We loved it here.
La Cigaliere is a very spacious, calm, well appointed and comfortable holiday accommodation for up to 8 people in the lovely Languedoc. We have enjoyed many lovely evening meals around the family table a L’exterieur following a late afternoon dip in the large, safe and welcoming swimming pool. The bedrooms are all very comfortable and well appointed and the kitchen is spacious and very well equipped. Our cars were safe in the large and self contained garage and games and cinema style watching were enjoyed in the large family den. If you enjoy family time in high quality accommodation within the historic Languedoc with wine tasting on your doorstep, then La Cigaliere will suit you very well. What a fabulous week! The open-plan ground floor was cool in the midday heat and comfortable in the evenings. Good sized dining space, lounge area and sunken kitchen with a large table. We had everything we needed. Upstairs the master bedroom was spacious and dual aspect with a large ensuite. The two twin rooms were comfortable and personal. Everything was spotlessly clean and in excellent condition, while still being welcoming and personal. The outside space was of an equally high standard. A patio area for dining al fresco, bbq and a beautiful pool area, set in an established garden of trees and shrubs. It was a perfect place to while away the day. The pool was a very comfortable 29 degrees c and maintained by the host, Debbie, so we didn't have to do any more than enjoy it! Debbie was an excellent and considerate host. We were greeted on arrival with cool drinks and a warm welcome and she was helpful and kind throughout the visit, arranging a few restaurant bookings and leaving gifts of fruit and vegetables from the property at our doorstep. Debbie was particularly lovely to our teenage daughter who was enamoured by the house cats. The surrounding area was beautiful, with lots to do and we loved every minute of exploring it, but it was always nice to come 'home' to Carcavi.
We had a lovely time in this fantastic location. The villa is perfectly located. Our 3 favourite restaurants: 1, La Belle Etoile - La Roque de Gageac 2, Hôtel Dieu 3, La Romane Thank you Jackie and Geoff. A lovely home with character and a real French charm.
Plenty of room for the whole family. Lovely outdoor dining area with scenic pond. BBQ was great. The swimming pool area was beautiful, very clean and child friendly. There was enough seating in all spaces for the whole family. Thank you for a very enjoyable holiday.

We were able to have a great week with friends at this house, which matched the photos perfectly. The host is very accommodating and accommodating. Amenities are complete, different living spaces are spacious, the pool area is a real plus. I'd recommend it!
We had an incredible family vacation at Château, celebrating the anniversary with a large group. The castle, the other building and the extensive private grounds are beautiful and very relaxing, we had everything we needed and the place was spotlessly clean. The hosts had thought of everything and we can't wait to come back
We've rented a lot of other villa, châteaux and domaines, but this one was the best! The six ensuite bedrooms were all the same size and had the same amenities so none of the six couples had a less than optimal room as we've experienced in other rentals. The two on-site staff were wonderful and spoke perfect English (they're Irish so not a surprise). The location in Burgundy was perfect for day trips. If you book this rental, you'll be delighted!
Had a wonderful 2 weeks at the Maison Baleyssagues in Lot-et-Garonne. Great days out in Bordeaux and the countryside. Weather great for the most part. Really enjoyed the super pool - which has been the best so far. Thanks so much to Frederic for being such an entertaining host. See you gain soon.
Well, what can we say other than we have had a ball and our 'musicals' night with you both will enter the folklore of the families. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality, friendship and laughs - what a holiday! We've loved every minute of our holiday. The Loft is superb in every aspect. As hosts we could not have hoped for a more welcoming, friendly and helpful couple - you are amongst the chosen! Thank you so much for helping us have such an amazing holiday.
It is a beautiful property, is very well equipped and worked very well for our group of 6.
Everything you would need is provided for a perfect stay in this part of southern France. A range of seating areas throughout the garden and the pool were delightful. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable The hosts were charming, friendly and helpful, but very discrete.
The highlights for me were swimming lengths in the warm pool, strolling around the beautiful garden with all the different types of trees (olive, fig, pomegranate etc) and exploring the delightful surrounding Provence countryside in its full glory. Despite being a large group of people, the house always felt cool and spacious and the amenities functioned perfectly. There is also a marvellous restaurant within walking distance. Thank you again for making my holiday so enjoyable.
Everything about this stay was perfect! The location (in a small village which boasts a lovely hotel / bar / restaurant, a shop in which you can buy all you need, local wine producers and an organic butchers lorry visiting twice a week) to close proximity to beautiful walking routes and access to nearby towns with great markets, to the house itself which is the epitome of Provence living. Comfortable, thoughtfully restored and furnished and with every amenity you could wish for. The outside areas are great too - a beautiful pool area and several eating / barbecue and relaxation areas to take advantage of the sun or shade as you need. Perfect for large family gatherings as all the rooms are en suit and private except one which has an adjoining room perfect for those with young children although it still has 2 bathrooms! The house and grounds are looked after by a lovely couple who are on hand to help if needed with taxi's advice etc. We will be back!
We thought this was the perfect setting for our extended family holiday. We had long lazy days by the pool, some nice days out to the bastide towns and alfresco dinners followed by games We rescued several frogs from the pool! There were plenty of distractions in the house for every age and we found the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Fabulous weather for two birthday celebrations and we found it to be a very peaceful and idyllic setting. Amazing house! We all made amazing memories and had a great time.
What a wonderful week! The villa is full of elegant and eclectic touches and the outside areas are divine. The pool is just perfect and the shade was needed this week when it was very hot (but not as hot as back home - thank goodness!) Beziers is lovely and there are plenty of places to visit near by. Philippe - you were a wonderful host providing recommendations when asked and keeping the pool sparkling clean. The treats you delivered were fabulous as was the trip you organised to Saint Chinian. We've been lucky enough to stay at Manoir de Fouilloux on two separate occasions and have loved our stay both times. The house has been decorated and equipped to an extremely high standard. The property is blessed with beautiful views and a number of perfectly maintained gardens, ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine, either on the terrace or in the Moroccan courtyard and den or by the swimming pool. It is also within a short distance of picturesque towns and châteaux. If you fancy some wine tasting St Emilion is close by as are the vineyards of Bergerac or maybe a visit to a local food market in Riberac. We are certainly planning to stay again! A wonderful place to relax

One cannot believe it can look as the pictures... in fact it is better. Everything absolutely first class and in a great location. We traveled as a family and the place managed to be both romantic and perfect for children. Cannot recommend highly enough. Six stars.
We take wonderful memories back to Holland. Great house and great pool, especially during the hot weather this week. We cycled to Minerve, which was a beautiful ride. Grand Café Occitan happened to be closed, but the kitchen is fully equipped for preparing your own meals. Thank you!
Thank you so very much Benjy, Kate and Issy for welcoming us to the property. We have had the most heavenly week here and we leave feeling thoroughly relaxed. The lands, vineyards and pool are all spectacular and a fabulous location for a group of friends. The weather has been glorious and to be honest, it has been quite difficult to drag ourselves away from the house and pool… However, we did venture to Fontevraud (which we loved), and we discovered a couple of the local markets. We were very grateful for the small touches that made our stay special – the beautiful turn of the winery, the supplies of food (and drinks!) and the comfy beds and copious linen and towels. We also enjoyed cooking on the Aga – risotto, roast chicken etc. Delicious food to accompany your STUNNING wine! We very much hope to return one day.
We had a lovely couple of weeks here. The property is beautiful and the weather was kind. Some gorgeous scenery and places to visit.
We have enjoyed a lovely holiday, this beautiful home has been and absolute delight so comfortable and peaceful. Enjoying lunch outside in your splendid garden has been a favourite past-time.
Le Petit Palais provides the perfect place for families and groups. We consist of six parents and six kids of ages 1-5 years old. The bedrooms provided the perfect split and were also very comfortable with a bunk bed which was every kids choice. Downstairs has plenty of space for all to enjoy and breakout to do their own thing or sit together for a meal. The provision of toys and games for all ages was great to keep our kids entertained plus the table football, climbing frame and trampoline all helped to keep the kids busy. The pool area is sizeable and secure with comfy loungers and shaded area with table. Around the house there’s different spots to enjoy lunch or have an evening drink. The kitchen is fully setup and provides all you’d need to prepare meals for large groups, this is so often not the case when you stay at a holiday rental. All in all our weeks stay was perfect and the house and provisions did everything we needed and wanted. The house is easy to find and well located for day trips. Isabelle and Caroline are quick communicators and offer really helpful advice at all times. Thanks again for letting us stay and hopefully we’ll be back again soon.
A truly wonderful 2 weeks in this magnificent place. The drive, the views, the rooms - all very special in their own way. 2 weeks is not enough!
Wonderful house. Thank you for our wonderful stay. We were a large party of friends looking for somewhere scenic to spend a week together. We were excited when we booked but over the moon when we arrived to the beautiful house. The space works really well for a large group of people with multiple areas to comfortably sit and hang out. We had some delicious dinners and breakfasts (cooked in the well equipped kitchen and BBQ) out on the deck and the view made them even more magical. Even though the house is wonderful to relax and play in the pool in we found some lovely things to do in the surrounding area. There's a wonderful restaurant right by the house and kayaking and wake-boarding about an hour drive and some nice villages not far. Overall if you want a place that feels private and scenic and is still functional and comfortable then this an ideal place. We hope to come back soon!
