It is an extraordinary place, very quiet and well-equipped. The terrace and pool are really nice. Lots of villages to visit around. Recommended!
Fabulous Villa and location We've been coming to the south of France for year and specifically to this area and to Seillans for the last 5 years... and this villa is as good as we have ever stayed. The villa is impeccably kept, extremely comfortable and has the most magnificent views. Everything in the villa is as advertised and works well. The restaurants of Seillans are a short walk away. Although the town itself unfortunately has no boulangerie or patisserie, Fayence is only a 5 minute drive away and has a great one of those, plus a boucherie / charcuterie around the corner, both of which are close to the big Super U supermarket. The terrace and pool are East-facing. We were worried that in the photos it looked like there was little shade provided but with the big awnings for the terrace and a few parasols for the pool, finding shade from the morning sun was not a problem. We love this area for the beautiful mountain villages (seillans, Callian, Tourrettes etc) but the ease of getting around in the largely flat area south of those villages so you can get to Cannes, Grasse and the beaches. Lovely spacious house. We loved staying here! The rooms were lovely and spacious and the bed was big and comfortable :-) The location was really good to. We enjoyed going down to the riverside cafe, kayaking on the river, cycling, sightseeing, eating! We would definitely come back.
This is the third visit to the Villa - it's beginning to feel like home! Another wonderful stay- we had great time yet again and sorry to leave the peace and tranquility behind. Thanks to Frédéric as always for the very warm welcome, always here if needed. So lots of memories to take home and thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.
My family stayed at La Barde for a fortnight in 2018 and we are returning with friends in 2019. The house is well set up to accommodate two families and a large number of children. The garden and grounds are particularly well maintained. The sitting room opens directly onto a lawn, which is great for supervising small children and the extended grounds offer loads of space for children to explore. The setting is quiet but easily accessible to Ribérac.
What a beautiful house, we loved the decor and the private setting. It was the perfect place to relax during our French road trip.
Anthony and Rachel make wonderful hosts being friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and also very generous with their excellent "welcome pack". We loved the whole region: Carcassonne and Mirepoix are a "must" (the owners of the "Mad Hatter" cafe in Mirepoix are Brits) and we enjoyed the markets at Mirepoix and Revel. Also enjoyed the drive south from Revel through the pretty villages/small town of Saissac. Lagrasse is a pleasant village but a tad overrated in our view. On the other hand, we loved Minerve and the Minervois region including the small town of Caunes-Minervois. Fontfroide is worth a visit and Montesegur is a must if in that area. We enjoyed Peyriac de-Mer and Gruissan on the coast but would avoid Narbonne Plage on another occasion - great beach though! Toulouse is a pleasant city and worth a visit if cities are "your thing" and the SNCF smartphone app worked brilliantly. For a special lunch, Cote Resto is a must. Excellent food and in a wonderful setting.
Fab house! What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a godsend as the weather was tres chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. What a wonderful holiday we have had! Perfect stay. A very high quality renovation where stone blends with wood and contemporary furniture. A huge and ideal porch for dinner, barbecue and admire the countryside and hillsides on one side and a pool enchanted in this "Provencal farmhouse" on the other. Very high quality amenities and bedding. The sober and neat decoration with touches of contemporary art ensures a soothing balance and conducive to rest. A spacious cathedral living room with a stunning solid wood table. Here and there, small details in the amenities and decor (a special mention in the toilet of the master suite, I'll let you discover it). In addition, Christophe is very friendly and very attentive to his hosts. In short, this stay in the countryside between two seas delighted us all.
Just a note to say how much we enjoyed staying in Villa Pey de la Salle and it had everything we needed, including a lovely view!
We had a wonderful stay at Maison Charvin for 2 weeks in August 2022. The house itself is lovely. The pictures on the site perhaps do not do it justice. We are a family of 6 (four teenagers) however there was ample accommodation for all. Most importantly, for the teenagers, no complaints about the Wi-Fi! The village in which the house is situated is picturesque to say the least. There is a fantastic restaurant within walking distance, Vins de Dagne where the food and wine were truly exceptional (but you need to book ahead). There is also a small store, but that was not really sufficient for anything other than the odd top up (and a bit overpriced). Although we were a little concerned about the lack of onsite parking, that really was not a problem at all, with ample roadside parking just at the end of the street. The fact that the outside areas are all surrounded by high walls did worry us at first, as you would inevitably get shade in one part or other at either end of the day. However, the weather was blisteringly hot and so the shade provided by the Courtyard garden was an absolute godsend. That said, the same shade meant that the pool never quite got to a truly comfortable temperature for the millennial teenagers and was a bit chilly. Although, on many of the hottest days, to my mind, that was a blessed relief! It is the outside areas that truly make this house. It is completely private, not overlooked at all, beautifully lit up at night and well equipped with BBQ, table and chairs (for six) and a multitude of loungers and towels. The location of the house was good. The town of Montlaur is just; 20 minutes drive to the nearest Le clerc just outside Carcassonne. 30 minutes to the lake at Caracassone with its inflatable aqua park and the ‘go ape’ tree climbing and zipwire site. 90 minutes to the beach at Narbonne. A little over 90 minutes to the airport at Toulouse and to the whitewater rafting at Belvianes-et Cavirac (which was fantastic!) Sharon was extremely helpful when needed, only a phone call away but otherwise we were left to ourselves. All in all it was great holiday and a house that I would truly recommend.
The house was spotless and the pool one of the nicest we have used. Thierry couldn't be more helpful, giving us total peace and privacy unless we needed his assistance. We would highly recommend a stay here!

Well, we all made it and have had the best time. This year we have certainly made use of the pool - even Chris! We have had some splendid lunches out and have found yet more restaurants and generally had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. As ever, we thank you for your wonderful hospitality. We can’t wait to be back - Chris and I are coming back in October when we hope it won’t be quite so hot!
Foreign and familiar. Grand and intimate. Giving us frivolity and solitude. Château La Roche-Posay had given us exactly what we needed. The host made our stay all the more enjoyable with the perfect amount of attention. Thank you for helping us to open our eyes to a beautiful part of France!

What a delight it was to find this stunning house in such a wonderful location. The added bonus was owner Ms W who was so warm an welcoming and could not have been more helpful. There was a wealth of information on the local area available at the house but prior to reaching the house Sharon had armed us with all of the practical directions and information that make a holiday so much easier and relaxing. The house is equipped with everything you could want (and then probably more)! We enjoy cooking and there was never a cooking utensil or piece of equipment that was not to hand. If you do not like or wish to cook have no fear the local shops and markets provide all you need and in the local areas there is a large range of restaurants if you wish to have a meal made for you. We have also taken note of a number of book titles to look up when we get home based on the 'library' of books at the house. I would recommend reading a book while sitting on one of the many window seats soaking up the views! We were travelling with extended family and with so many additional areas for relaxation it meant that we all had our own space when we needed and could come together when we wanted. So this is a house that would meet the needs of a large / extended family or a group of friends. Though we did not have scorching weather we did make use of the pool and after a day of sightseeing it was refreshing. Again, Sharon's sense of humour, warmth and willingness to help in anyway she can ensured we got the very best out of our Lauguedoc vacation. I cannot recommend Maison Charvin enough!

We very much enjoyed our visit to this area with its wonderful beaches and gorgeous scenery. Your warm welcome on our arrival helped us to settle in to this beautiful villa and it is obvious you have spend many years in furnishing it. A home of which to be justly proud.
We had an amazing stay! The beds were very comfortable and the pool is incredible! Lunch time on the terrace was a highlight as it's so peaceful. Overall the stay was absolutely incredible and we loved every minute we were here.

Two weeks of idyllic bliss in the rolling French countryside with superb weather to atch. As a family young and old, we enjoyed the stunning house, garden, pool and views. To agree with the previous guests, Laparade is the place to be on a Tuesday evening. Days spent at Biscarosse beach and lakeside both worth the journey. Would also highly recommend in house beauty treatments. We had massages and facials. Fantastic. Just ask Olivia.
We have just returned from Domaine de Nérige what a fabulous house and the owners made everything perfect during our stay. All our needs were met and more, they just wanted to ensure we were happy and enjoyed our stay, they arranged catering, shopping, where to eat, what to do in the surrounding areas etc. On our last evening she arranged a tapas night for 18 of our friends at Domaine de Nérige as it was my husbands 60th birthday celebrations we had a ball and fabulous memories were made. Domaine de Nérige is a special place to stay everything was stress free from the moment we arrived to the time we sadly had to say goodbye, a huge big thank you to the owners and housekeepers. We so enjoyed our time in France you are all so special too.
We have stayed in some lovely properties in France, but this has to be the very best. We appreciated everything you both so generously provided to make our stay so very comfortable. Right from the moment we arrived we felt welcome. We enjoyed our visits to Carcassonne, Narbonne and Minerve, and our boat trip on the Canal du Midi from Capestang and our trip to the Abbeye de Fontfroide. We had a superb meal in Restaurant d'Alibert in Caunes Minervois. Thank you so much for everything. We have had such a lovely fortnight and will miss this haven of beauty, peace and comfort for quite sometime. We hope to visit again - it sure is tough to leave here.
The villa was just as described and was perfect in every way. We chose the villa because everything was on one level and the pool and terrace area were located very close to the main house. We had the most wonderful time and the arrangement of the bedrooms meant we had plenty of space to relax in. The BBQ area was well used. The air conditioning was welcomed during the warm Mediterranean nights. It was also the first villa we have stayed in where we were able to walk to the local town in order to buy our daily croissants. The service we had from Pure France and Philippe was exceptional. Magnificent property, super equipped, very large swimming pool at a perfect temperature, exceptional grounds, tennis court in perfect condition, well-appointed and comfortable common areas... Hard to beat for a family vacation! The place is perfect for children and less young people... Very clean, comfortable, very pleasant, excellent communication with the owners. The best!
Beautiful accommodation with so much attention to detail! We were all very amazed by the cleanliness and its amenities. We have never been to such a beautiful place before. We were a group of 6 people. On the terrace you have a beautiful view and there is a waterfall nearby. Sophie is a very lovely and helpful person. We were already very convinced of the pictures of the villa, in reality it was even more beautiful. The kitchen was fully equipped, there was no lack of a device or spice. Very very hygienic everything! I would be happy to come back.
