My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Château des Dragons in early September. What a magical place. Absolutely beautiful house – everything you could need and the heated pool was just wonderful. The owners were very helpful and friendly, advising us on where to visit and how to get to places. On their recommendation we went to a fab market in the local village and borrowed two bicycles to ride around the local countryside. A great local supermarket about a 20 min walk away and the château is within easy reach of Poitiers. We hope to return one day.
Thank you so much for the very warm welcome, all the ‘goodies’ you provided and of course the use of your very well equipped Loft. It felt like we had always known you (perhaps because we’re all Northerners!). The Italian restaurant in the village is great to be able to walk to. A few degrees below 38 would have been preferable, but out of your control! Good luck with the house.
Fantastic spacious house (in m² as well as in m3) with a well thought out design interior. The garden is an estate with the occasional deer.

Both (the house and grounds) are absolutely beautiful and fantastic for parents and children alike. Despite a lot of activities in and around the area, we chose to stay 'in' more than we had expected because of how good the house and grounds were. Where do we start! Arrived at the gite and drove through the private gated entrance to see beautiful grounds and a very inviting swimming pool. Jean and Martyn were waiting to show us around and were the perfect hosts throughout our stay. The gite, grounds, outdoor kitchen and pool all immaculate and made for the perfect stay. The washing machine, dishwasher and many fridges are an added bonus. The bedrooms and bathroom a good size, fab open plan kitchen, diner and living room. Lots of extras in the kitchen which is great. Lauzun is a great little village with all the amenities you need, several other pretty villages near by (Issigeac and Eymet are lovely) Large hyper/supermarkets and various shops in Bergerac, 30mins away or a decent size Intermarche 10mins away. We would highly recommend the gite and will definitely be returning. Thank you Jean and Martyn for your letting us stay in your lovely property and not forgetting the very friendly, fluffy, German Shepherd Tanner. We had the best time, enjoyed sharing our many bottles of vino and our evening with you in Eymet.
The house was the perfect setting for our party of 8. The bedrooms were all a good size and with 3 bathrooms and great air conditioning they were perfect. The indoor kitchen and dining area are huge and are the best equipped we have ever had. The outside areas are just outstanding. We used the bbq a couple of times and ate outside every evening. The table tennis was fab and we developed a great love for darts! The pool is to die for. In terms of the area, Collins bar is a 5/10 minute drive away and is open from 5pm for drinks on a hilltop. We had a meal and wine tasting at Logeril (Pennautier) which we loved. There are plenty of pizzerias a short drive away. Clearly a car or two are required
We recently enjoyed a very memorable and enjoyable stay. This luxurious property was comfortable, well presented and very clean. The views from the property are exceptional and the horizon swimming pool is everybody's dream. The location provides good access to Saint Paul de Vence and to the surrounding region and thus is a great location to base yourself and to see the local features.
Lots of space for 3 generations of family. Kids loved pool house brilliant and they loved playing in grounds. Playroom kept kids entertained. Lots of toys and videos. Excellent. Gas BBQ was fab. Lovely cooker and dishwasher, tumble dryer made for easy holiday. Takayla and Nick excellent hosts, great welcome and nice to know they are on hand for any problems. Would come back again.
I would like to thank you for the lovely week we spent at Château du Pic de Rigaud. Henrietta was charming and extremely helpful. The house was beautiful and not too formal. The views were amazing both from the house and the pool. We left feeling uplifted.
We had a fantastic week here, the weather was very good - sunny every day, except one. Got up to 28 degrees. Used the pool everyday, bets way to keep cool. We thought the house was very good, had everything you would want. The welcome hamper we had was very good. The best we have ever had, we must have stayed at 20 French houses over the past 10 years but never seen so much food provided. We didn't do out too much as we had been to area before preferred to be by the pool anyway. We did however go to the Hennessey distillery at Cognac, enjoyed the tour 18 euros each. Thought Cognac was a lovely town. So all in all, had a good vacation, would come back again. Thank soo Phil and Ann for making the house so clear and tidy, we didn't have any problems with anything in the house, which must be a first! All the best.
We have had such a wonderful stay at Cottage du Jardin here in beautiful Périgord Noir. It has been the perfect base for exploring this stunning region of France. During our time here, we've enjoyedvisiting the charming nearby villages and towns, including Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, Montignac, Les Eyzies-de-Tayac, Domme, and the beautiful villages of Fanlac and Saint-Géniès. Highlights include: the fascinating Lascaux IV, the peaceful gardens of the Manoir d'Eyrignac, the impressive Château de Beynac and the breathtaking views of the Dordogne River from Domme, Beynac and La Roque-Gageac. We also walked locally, taking in the scenery of the village, the Vézère River and even strolled to see the Château de Losse. Our holiday has been extremely relaxing -- just what we needed. Thank you Caterina and Steve for a delightful stay in such a beautiful cottage and for your welcome and friendliness. We will be back!
THE LOFT! - Undoubtedly the best accommodation we have ever stayed at in France. A great concept realised in every detail. Wonderful hospitality on our arrival and throughout our stay. Your new B&B concept is beyond our imagination and will be utterly unique on completion. A beautiful house, fully equipped with EVERYTHING you could ever need or think of! The pool area is just brilliant and we all enjoyed spending the majority of our stay here underwater. Des vacances attendues... pour ce coin secret... Un séjour très reposant. Une superbe région. Des visites à nous couper le souffle. Le gouffre de Padirac excellent... Grotte de Lascaux, Sarlat, Rocamadour, Le Rocher des Aigles. Le Labyrinthe du Bugue. Tout était parfait. Une maison pleine de charme qui nous a inspiré pour notre futur bien immobilier. As I suspected when first shown around the Loft du Vigneron, we are going to find it hard to leave. The accommodation is truly first class, and you have been wonderful hosts. Thank you for all your suggestions of places to visit - we all have different highlights, but for Franklin it was the food market in Narbonne. All in all, a perfect holiday! We very much hope to see you (and Mack and Mabel) again.

Enchanting character house, with fabulous views making it difficult to leave, thank you for allowing us to share a real home from home. A really well equipped kitchen making it a great place to buy the local produce and wine and enjoy the benefits of staying in and soaking up the relaxing atmosphere. A day out driving through Beaume de Venice and Gigondas with the views of the Dentelles de mont Mirail was a highlight of our week. The market at Vaison la romaine was good fun, The wine at the Domaine Vallot (next door) was excellent as was the local bakery in Nyons. All in all a great week and thank you,
We have had a wonderfully relaxing holiday in this beautiful house in divine location. The garden is filled with wildlife and we've enjoyed many an hour listening to the birds and watching the bumblebees and butterflies. My recommendation would be to sit back, relax and just take it all in.
We loved everything about our stay en the villa, the exceptional view, the surroundings, the terrace and pool area etc. The house is also very well equipped and the information from the day we booked until leaving the villa was second to none. Thank you!
We had high expectation of this holiday and were not disappointed. The property is a piece of history in an area steeped in the past. From the moment we arrived, greeted by a couple you seemed to have been friends with all your life, the stresses of every day life evaporated. We immediately felt at home and were very quickly making plans for our next visit. The cottage looks picture postcard from the outside and there really is no detail left undone. The inside has its historic charm in place but with all the amenities necessary so that you are not required to live the Médiéval lifestyle of many some other rural accommodation in France. The rooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated and there are large bathroom and shower facilities (upstairs and down). The private swimming pool is superb and was for our sole use. Its clear waters under pine trees and a blue sky were idyllic. It was difficult to tear my wife from the pool side. The cottage fits perfectly into an area of outstanding beauty where many of the sites we wished to visit were only minutes away. The owners were very welcoming and provided good advice on the places to visit but were not overwhelming so that you could always enjoy complete privacy. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and cannot recommend it more highly. If you want to tour the area to see the 1,000 châteaux and the countless prehistoric sites in the area or just chill by the pool, this is the place for you. Thank you for a lovely week.

The property is absolutely divine. Romantic and picturesque. A real private get-away in the heart of a medieval hill-top village. We were stunned at how quiet it was and loved sitting in the garden in the morning having coffee. We also loved BBQing in the courtyard in the evenings and sitting out past dark to watch the amazing display of stars! The pool was such a delight and the air-con was perfect for a break from the heat in the middle of the day. While we went on several day trips recommended, the village had so much on offer we didn't need to venture out often and can't wait to return!
This place is quiet and thanks to nature, which Surrounded us, we were totally relaxed... The cottage is equipped with everything we need and Karine and Pascal are always available... For future visitors, there are restaurants to recommend (in our opinion) in Vianne (l'Atypik), in Barbaste (the veranda), in Sérignac-sur-Garonne (Le Prince Noir), in Agen (South Side)... Opposite the supermarket in Bras, you will find a butcher and a traditional bakery... Nérac, Vianne, Pujols, Penne-d'Agenais are places to visit! Thank you very much!
