The meal at Le Pourquoi Pas was outstanding! A lovely part of France to explore. We went to Béziers, Carcassonne, Vendres and Capestang. All lovely. The bikes were perfect for exploring the local area too. Thank you so much! We hope to come back.
Lovely villa, boys enjoyed the pool and the garden! Had great trips to Montpellier and Carcassonne. Visit Pézenas on a Wednesday evening and visit all of the artisans stores! For beaches the long stretch between Sète and Agde is very quiet.

I had the great pleasure of spending a fabulous week at this property. An oasis in the center of this charming french town. 3 minutes walk to the town where you find boulangeries selling fresh croissants in the morning; to lovely restaurants scattered around the cobbled back streets and a fabulous weekend market. The surrounding area has much to offer for those keen on exploring Agde, Sete or beautiful Marseillan, to name just a few. The property itself is decorated to the highest standard. You can see it was a labour of love. Stylish and yet homely. The bedrooms beautifully decorated light and airy. Beds so comfortable. The kitchen designed for entertaining. A huge open plan sitting and dining area perfect for a cosy family meal or a dinner party, as we enjoyed on more than one occasion. The outside area perfect for a long day lounging by the pool or chilling in the evening with the bbq going. A totally private setting! What more could one ask for. Great communication with the owner. Nothing was a problem. I would highly recommend this property, if you are looking for a 5 star experience in a stunning location.
The place was amazing, we went with 2 other families 6 adults 6 kids under 5. Loads of games, toys, trampoline and climbing frame to keep the kids entertained. Lovely spaces for adults and the pool was brilliant. Looking to book again next year. Thank you for a great week.

Just a note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at the Villa Montplaisir. This is a lovely villa in a nice location. The owner could not have been more helpful and we were provided with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice house, perfect for a large group of people like ours (10+, several families). Everything is there for the children! Very welcoming hosts who responded immediately when there was a request. On the edge of a beautiful little village, the majority of things to do are about 30-45 minutes from the house. We had a very nice stay.
We celebrated a week's holiday with 6 adult children and 2 grandchildren. The house is equipped with all modern conveniences, has a beautiful and complete interior, but still has an authentic appearance. The space in and around the house is gigantic and there is plenty of entertainment for everyone: from a nice swimming pool with many sun loungers to a room with numerous games and a good tennis court. Highly recommended for a family holiday. We will definitely go back again.

We love all things duck and Sarlat offers the best. Exploring the surrounding countryside has been a pure pleasure. Immaculate! Everything was soptless. We had everything we needed. Thank you for accommodating us. Love the pool! The BBQ was great for evening meals altogether. We spent a fantastic week at Villa Bellara in May 2026. The property was immaculate and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our group consisted of four couples, and the villa was so spacious that each couple enjoyed their own private floor. Every bedroom was air-conditioned, comfortable, and included its own en-suite bathroom, which made our stay particularly convenient. The kitchen is large and very well equipped, perfect for preparing meals, and we also made great use of the Weber gas BBQ. The heated pool was excellent - we used it every day and it was a real highlight of the villa. The location is ideal: set in a quiet residential area yet just a 15-minute walk down to the beachfront, where there is a wide selection of bars and restaurants. There is also a nearby supermarket and several boulangeries within easy walking distance. Public transport is very accessible, making trips to Nice, Cannes, Monaco, and beyond simple - there's no need to hire a car. Jean Luc, the owner, was extremely welcoming and took the time to explain everything about the villa on arrival. He also made it clear that he was available if we needed anything during our stay, which was greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend Villa Bellara and very much hope to return in the future.

We have spent an excellent stay at this lovely villa, decorated with good state. The owner is charming. Generally, the house is very functional. However, the villa is for a maximum of 4 and not designed for more. Close to Pézenas, lovely town to go out. I heartily recommend this house.

A wonderful family break in a tranquil spot, our family has made wonderful memories, watching the shooting stars on the balcony.
This mansion offers everything anyone could wish for. Spacious, large bedrooms, comfortable bathrooms and outdoors like a park. Lovely swimming pool with sun beds and a lunching area (at least, that’s how we used it. Every one of our group (including the kids) had a wonderful week, no exceptions. Contact with the owner was swift and pleasant and the property manager Caroline is a gem. We hope to be back some other time, but meanwhile we recommend this property to anyone who wants to have an excellent French experience. Many thanks.
Incredible stay in an absolutely beautiful property. Superb aesthetic and practical attention to detail, and first rate hospitality and generosity from the hosts, Gary and Mark. We had such a relaxing, restful week - and are returning as total Cognac converts!
