A welcoming house A welcoming house. Right on the water, it's a prime location.
We have had a great week here visiting our daughter Eliza who is studying French in Montpellier. Lisa et al very helpful and the home has provided us with much fun and relaxation. Also great for walking into town and going on excursions. Thank you!
A week stay with all the family. Villa Colline is a superb ultra modern luxury villa, fitted with stunning furniture and accessories. The modern kitchen is very well equipped and the bedrooms are all very luxurious, especially the master room with its hot tub. For me, it was the pool and the numerous sun terraces which pleased me, especially the private areas with each room - little havens of peace! We had a fantastic week and we give the villa 10/10 ! Thank you!
Your house is lovely and we all had a relaxing and enjoyable week. I think I can safely say that in all the years of hiring holiday accommodation in France we have not stayed in such a well appointed and well equipped property. The Loire! What an overwhelming heritage. Châteaux, abbeys, caves - and Michel's house is central to all of it. Bourgueil is a charming town with delicious foods and outstanding wines. Every night we enjoyed the pool. Thank you Michel for an exceptional week.
Thank you for your warm welcome. We had a great stay, the house is very pleasant. The private bathrooms are a real plus, as is the use of the sauna and jacuzzi. We'll be back!
Wonderful Holiday Excellent villa, it was well equipped and had everything we could have wanted, the villa itself was so beautiful with wonderful views, all the rooms were very comfy, the villa was also in a wonderful location with everything we could need/want close by.
The villa is beautiful and we loved the area - although was a little warmer than I had anticipated we were so thankful for the air conditioning! Linda was fabulous and super helpful so please pass on my thanks to her as well. Thank you again and hopefully we can visit again later this year!
We’ve just returned from our fourth trip to Maison Sebastien, this time in early April 2016. The trees just bursting into blossom, spring flowers and green fields as far as the eye can see - glorious. Chilly weather so only a couple of al fresco lunches on the terrace this time, and wonderfully cozy inside with the wood-burning stove going great guns of an evening. The house is just fantastic - so comfortable, beautifully appointed with every mod con you could desire. François, the guardian, was as helpful and accommodating as ever, and has made a friend for life in our friends’ toddler by driving him around on one of the tractors. We’re only sorry it was a bit too early in the year for us to experience the new swimming pool - oh well, we’ll just have to come back again!

I'm going to preface this review by saying our extended family have hired a number of châteaux over the years, so we have something to make comparisons with! Without doubt this château offered the best value for money we have ever enjoyed. Our party of 18 used all the 10 bedrooms on offer, without anyone having to compromise on bedroom space. The kitchen was large enough to cater for the entire party with plenty of worktop space and a large island unit. Refreshingly there are plenty of cooking utensils and professional sized pans etc. There are three fridges, we used the large stand alone fridge for food,= and the two under counter fridges for 'adults' and kids drinks. The lounge diner is huge and comfortable, with good quality games available, including chess and backgammon. The pool is among the largest we've ever enjoyed with a deep end you can actually dive into. At points we had a dozen people in the pool and still had room to swim around. There are two main terraces, both easily able to accommodate at least 20 people. Smaller seating areas are dotted around the grounds so if inclined you can take yourself off for a bit of peace and quiet. There is a new and very good quality BBQ on the rear terrace with a moving charcoal tray which means you can raise the heat source as charcoal burns away. We were able to BBQ for 18 on half a bag of lump wood. Our party had 5 cars, the driveway was large enough for them to be parked so that everyone could drive out of the château without the need to move another vehicle. Saving the best to last, the sports hall/games room is magnificent. With a full sized badminton court, a basket ball hoop, 2 table tennis tables, table football, a darts board,= and a full sized pool table our whole party had plenty of activities to choose from. This facility was constantly used for weeklong knockout completions including our own decathlon type event. Modesty prevents me revealing who the best pool player was. From our perspective, this vast array of facilities and activities provided the perfect ingredients for our first ever holiday where children needed no entertaining at all. Finally a place they can truly entertain themselves.
Just wanted to say what a fantastic time we had when we recently stayed at Domaine de Nérige. The house is beautiful, immaculately clean and has everything you could need. The views are fabulous. Sandie is a fantastic host and the food she provided was excellent. We would definitely love to return.
We had a really pleasant holiday in the villa and enjoyed the swimming pool and the view from the garden in particular. The air-conditioning is fantastic! We found the bedrooms large and spacious and appreciated the fact that they were all ensuites. Thank you!

This villa is beautiful. We had an exceptional week. Very modern hyper equipped with a very tasteful, high-end decoration. We were charmed by the villa. The owners are very nice. Very well located 15 minutes walk from the most beautiful village in France. We are used to renting prestigious villas. This one is undoubtedly in its place on the podium. I would even say on the highest step taking into account the kindness of Karine and Éric, the owners. We highly recommend!
Great location, on the beach with great access to activities. Parking is great. Everything was perfect from pre check communications through check out. Loved the apartment and overall vibe of staying on the beach with all the fun activities, shops and markets. Great for walking. The beach and water are fantastic!! The apartment is perfect. The experience and memories will stay with you. Luxury these days is ostentatious and expensive. If you are bored of gimmicks, the look at me photos, and shows of flamboyance and want to return to a time when it meant doing something rare, something magical and getting great pleasure then this is it. As a workaholic, I was only meant to stay a few days but I cancelled my trip to Rome without any sense of guilt. You know when something is special. The grandness of the chateau hits you as you drive through woods to its door. It is a huge palace but when you walk into the kitchen you instantly feel at ease, a sense of calm and belonging as if you have always lived here. The vastness means you can go hide but also easily fall into one of many rooms to join in the chatter and the laughter; the odd glass in hand. The ambience makes you appreciate spending time with friends and loved ones. This is not an escape. It is a return to reality. To nature, to walks in the woods, to scrabbling up steep hilly banks to find Roman ruins. An adult returning to childhood freedom. Losing yourself into another world. All the bedrooms have their own individual character. I slept in the Venetian Room. I know nice sheets but these were really nice sheets. I slid into sleep every night. Everything is top quality but you don’t need an engineering degree to turn on the shower. It is so pleasantly gadget free. Let’s face it, every luxury hotel, every luxury spa, every special Swedish cream; it’s all the same bought from the same store, boring and instantly forgettable. But this is simplicity, beauty and elegance.
Beautiful and Charming place to Stay. Wonderful service from the owner Linda who does everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. This beautiful rural chateau is steeped in history and has a very eclectic decor in a shabby-chic style which would suit a group of friends or family that love something a bit different.
A blissful week spent with my children at Maison Lemance. Greeted by the gorgeous owner, Sam, we immediately settled into the house and felt completely at home. With its abundance of terraces, dining areas and sitting rooms, there was always a perfect spot for everyone to relax. The kitchen was particularly well equipped, making the occasional meal at the villa an absolute joy. The pool, with its comfortable loungers, along with the ping-pong table, boules and badminton, kept everyone happily entertained. The nearest mini-marché was a one-minute drive away at most and was perfect for our morning trips for fresh baguettes and cheese. The huge E.Leclerc supermarket was an easy 20-minute drive and had absolutely everything we could possibly need, from pool floats, books and clothes to food and wine. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, we truly felt “nestled in green nowhere.” We ventured out to visit the lively town of Fumel, where we enjoyed lunch by the river, and I would also highly recommend a visit to Château de Bonaguil. However, we were so content lazing by the pool at the house that we rarely felt the need to venture far. Even the local vineyards couldn’t quite lure us away, particularly as Sam had thoughtfully filled the fridge with some fantastic local wine. In fact, I’m already highly tempted to book again for next year — just to make sure we get to return to this little slice of heaven!
Our recent family getaway in the South of France, close to Sommières, was made extra special by the delightful Provencal-style house we had the pleasure of calling home. From the moment we arrived, we felt a genuine sense of comfort and relaxation. The exterior of the house, surrounded by beautiful gardens set the tone for a peaceful stay. Inside, the Provencal charm continued with tasteful decor that blended traditional and modern elements seamlessly. The attention to detail in each room created an inviting atmosphere, making us feel right at home. The living areas were spacious yet cozy, providing the perfect setting for family time. The well-equipped kitchen made meal prep a breeze, and the comfortable bedrooms offered a good night's sleep after days filled with exploration. One of the highlights was the outdoor spaces. The terrace, overlooking the scenic countryside, became a favorite spot for morning coffee and evening relaxation. The pool was a refreshing retreat, perfect for unwinding under the sun. The house's location proved to be convenient for exploring Sommières Uzes, and Nîmes, charming towns with a lot to offer. Returning to the house after our daily adventures felt like returning to a peaceful oasis. In conclusion, our stay in this Provencal-style house near Sommières was a wonderful experience. It provided a perfect balance of comfort, charm, and convenience for our family retreat. If you're looking for a relaxed and welcoming haven in the South of France, this house is a gem that we wholeheartedly recommend.
