First of all, the house was everything we hoped it would be. The facilities inside were excellent and the air conditioning a huge plus especially at night time. The back garden area is superb and met all needs whether you wanted sun, shade, pool, cooking, dining. The area itself has so many varying attractions to meet all needs and ages. Some highlights for us were kayaking in Saint Guilhem de Desert, canyoning in the Gorges d'Heric and this was brilliant. Lazy beach days in Sète and Marseillan, visiting the vineyards at Seignourie de Peyrat (just out the Roujan road) and chill out days by the pool. Pèzenas is a wonderful town and the market on Saturday is a must and favourite restaurants were La Ripalle and Chez Paul. Excellent holiday and the house and its location facilitated this. Thanks.
Beautiful, very well kept and maintained. Amazing for kids Stunning pool and poolside, children's toy room was perfect for boys and girls, a great range of toys. All extra bedding, baby products etc; great. Fab daily service, friendly. Great local advice. Very easy, relaxing process. You both have a lovely manner with all guests which made the stay very enjoyable.
Amazing! is the word. The Loft itself, you as hosts and the location. Our week has been wonderful and made all the better due to the exceptional care and attention you both put into this special place. This is the easiest and most satisfying review we've ever written. Quite simply, Mark and Gary are two of the warmest and thoughtful people we have ever met and they have created the most wonderful home in the perfect rural location that it almost seems too good to be true... but it isn't. Everything about La Charmante Distillerie encourages you to unwind and relax... whether it be the sumptuous and luxurious interior spaces, the pool and adjoining terraces giving shade and privacy or the surrounding woodland and rustle of the leaves on trees in the gentle cooling breeze. Early mornings and evenings were our particular favourite as we would just sit and listen to the silence whilst enjoying an espresso or cold Pineau. It was truly idyllic. Our daughters, aged 12 and 14 years old, were so happy playing in the pool for hours or relaxing on the terraces and in their own private snug that has been beautifully created. We would love to keep La Charmante Distillerie as our own little secret and not share it with anybody, but of course we can't. So regretfully we have to tell anybody that asks that we have found the perfect destination with the perfect hosts. C'est magnifique.
Thank you ever so much for such a wonderful stay at Camirout. We have all had a fabulous time, enjoying the fine weather, exploring the local area, sampling the delights of the local restaurants and village ‘feasts’/night markets; participating in medieval festivals (a particular favourite!); and most of all – relaxing by the pool. It has been such a special and enjoyable fortnight. Thank you for your kindness and warm hospitality. We will have fond memories of our special holiday here.
The host met us on arrival and not only gave us a tour of the apartment but also the entire building and surrounding areas. The apartment was spotless, beautiful modern design with all amenities and so close to the beach. Most importantly for us it catered to a young baby with a high chair, cot, baby bath and even bath toys. Finally the location is immense if you wish to explore the French Riviera. We did day trips in our rental car both East and West from the apartment including Eze, Cannes, Antibes, Nice, St Paul de Vence, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Menton, Monte Carlo and Cap Ferrat. Thank you for giving us a perfect holiday.
An idyllic haven in the Gers countryside. The room was beautifully comfortable and had far- reaching views over the vines. Host, David, cooked us a sensational meal on the evening of our arrival as well as French breakfast of fruit, yogurts, bread and croissants, cheese, delicious preserves each morning. He was also a source of invaluable advice about the area - things to see and places to eat. A warm, welcoming chambre d’hote. Unhesitatingly recommended.

We all had a lovely time. The accommodation was so huge that we could all find space when we wanted that and a communal get-together when desired. Our son-in-law really enjoyed cooking on the Aga and produced some spectacular meals. Needless to say that we all had fun in the pool on sunny days.
Our family of 7 adults (and a toddler) spent a blissful week here in August and we were all agreed that it was pretty well perfect for our family needs. We knew we were going to love it when Philippe showed us round then presented us with the welcome pack - by far the best we have ever received when renting a holiday home. His generosity throughout the week showed him to be an exceptional host in going the extra mile to make sure guests were happy and we very much appreciated this. The layout of the villa, as other reviews have detailed, is particularly good for adult groups as there are three separate buildings housing the bedrooms (all beautifully decorated) thereby giving space to retreat if necessary. Bear in mind, if you are four couples, that the pool house room is very compact compared to the other three bedrooms. We particularly loved the comfy outdoor furniture where we gathered in the evenings and the Moroccan seating area for peace and quiet. The pool is a good size and was used every day - of course - and the boys loved playing table tennis. We love to cook and found that the kitchen was very spacious with two sinks and a huge cooker. It was also so useful having a separate fridge / freezer in the pool house annexe as you so often find that there is not enough fridge space in villas. The barbecue area was just superb and used several times. There is lots to explore close by and we did venture out for an afternoon on the canal du midi but we loved the villa so much we pretty much stayed put - it just had everything we needed. The whole villa was clean, spacious and the furnishings were good quality. What an exceptional villa this is and thank you Philippe for being such a great host. We can't wait to go back.
In a word - spectacular. Where does one even begin in describing what a wonderful home. In a word - spectacular! We have stayed in approximately 40 homes over the years and few have even come close to the level of excellence we experienced. The house is beautiful inside and out and no detail has been overlooked. The beds are very comfortable and the linens and towels are lovely. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare all your meals. The patio, gardens and pool are tranquil and relaxing. As far as cleanliness, the home is absolutely spotless. The pictures are very true to the location but what they lack is the warmth and kindness you will be greeted with when you meet the owners. We highly recommend.
We had a great time. I would recommend this place to everyone looking for a remote getaway.
Mission accomplished, we came for a week to rest in a family holiday and we are sad to leave. One week was not enough! Thank you for answering our few requests and we love your villa! Thank you for a wonderful two weeks at your beautiful home, we fell in love with Les Marquises as soon as we stepped out of the car the gorgeous gardens, plants, flowers and the views! Then the house where to start, the clever beautiful sense of style and decoration in every room is enchanting, warm and welcoming and although we enjoyed visiting Nyons, Vaison la Romaine and Orange, the best part of our holiday was just relaxing around the swimming pool and enjoying this outstandingly beautiful place. Thank you so much for this most memorable holiday.

The property Mas des Rivailles is a super place in a great part of France. One of the best swimming pools we have experienced and the family used it all day every day during our stay. The house is really comfortable with lots of areas where the family could spread out to do some work or just have time on their own. Having three formal eating areas meant we could mix it up where we had lunch and dinner. There are great countryside views from all of the windows and the house is in a very peaceful and serene setting. I must commend Frederic, the local property manager. He was there to greet us when we arrived and lead us through the property and all of the bits and pieces and local knowledge which made the experience so great. He is very solution focussed and solved minor issues in a no nonsense, relaxed and timely fashion. Many thanks for all.
We all had a wonderful holiday and the accommodation suited us so well, we were very lucky with the weather and the pool was perfect, such a great place to relax. We enjoyed eating outside looking at the wonderful views to the Mediterranean.
What an amazing week - we were looking for a place to chill and we found it! House had everything we needed. Pool was perfect, weather glorious - loved the baguette vending machine in the village - perfect! We explored Châteaubriant, Angers and Le Mans. Food stunning and Le Mans was definitely worth a visit. Thank you - we will be looking to returning soon.

Absolute Heaven. My family, fourteen of us from 70 to 1 year, had a memorable and joyful two weeks at Manoir Alvère. The house and grounds are magical. An easy walk takes you into the village and there are many very good places to eat within an easy drive. The owner made the process of checking in and out easy; the caretaker Georges was onsite in case of any problems. I envy anyone who finds themself in this very special place!
Fantastic holiday - very many thanks. We come to France a lot and this is one of the best places we've stayed in. The weather has been very kind to us all! Restaurant recommendations all very good - we tried as many as we could. Particularly good were La Maison at Tourbes and L'Entre Pots. We need to come back again and try the rest. Many thanks again.
Duras... I love cooking, the kitchen is wonderful and the city's market place is perfect for organising the perfect dinner.. the perfect kitchen is ready to prepare the table... the outdoor patio... the splendid terrace with a view of the valley or a dip in the swimming pool whilst having a barbecue!
