We recently enjoyed a very memorable and enjoyable stay. This luxurious property was comfortable, well presented and very clean. The views from the property are exceptional and the horizon swimming pool is everybody's dream. The location provides good access to Saint Paul de Vence and to the surrounding region and thus is a great location to base yourself and to see the local features.
We came here to celebrate a couple of family birthdays and get some time together. From the moment we walked in the door we quickly came to realise what an amazing place this is. The view from the kitchen window (bu the sink) literally brought my sister to tears. ... in a very positive way. This week has allowed us to explore the area to some degree, but with so much on offer around and in the property, there was little incentive to go anywhere. The difficulty now will be to keep this gem of a property a secret from others, as we will undoubtedly tell everyone about this fantastic place. Thank you for so generously sharing your house. We have spent many happy holidays in France, but as this year is our 40th wedding anniversary we thought we should look for somewhere really special - and we found it! The house is a delight and the garden is the most beautiful place to rest and relax. The countryside around is very peaceful and charming and we greatly enjoyed the nearby towns and villages. The abbey at Fontevraud was a special highlight and the châteaux at Saumur, Chinon and Angers, which we last visited more than 30 years ago, were all well worth visiting again - so much restoration work has been done in the intervening years. We also liked the Corniche Angevine which runs along the South bank of the Loire between Rochefort and Challones and the many wine growing areas. This was the second time we stayed at La Maison Bosquetere. It is not without reason that we return to this place. Once again we had a very pleasant time for our holiday. A beautiful and well-equipped house in a nice location. Facilities are well maintained. Good base for the area. But also a perfect place to relax, while the children enjoyed the pool.

Great stay! We were 10 and loved our week Le Mas de Combet. Swimming pool, bar, large kitchen, living rooms, bedrooms with private bathrooms. Everything was perfect, clean, in line with the photos and the host was great in their communication and advice. Definitely won over for future reunions with friends. So calm and relaxed! We arrived on Saturday at your beautiful, beautiful house and we enjoy it so much. Thank you very much for the lovely card and the excellent bottle of wine. We did enjoy it yesterday in the evening by the pool. It is so calm here and the pool and everything else is so amazing. We never had such a relaxed holiday for years.
Dear host, Thank you - we had a very nice stay in the holiday house! The beaches nearby and all the nice, old cities are all very worth to be explored. All in one - it was a wonderful stay for the kids and us.
This is our 7th visit to the Dordogne and at least the 6th rental at "Cordeliers" Thank you Jackie and Geoff for buying this property and continuing to allow lucky people like us to stay here. We always love a long lunch at Le Vieux Logis in Trémolat, lovely drive. We stopped at Limeuil on the confluence of the Vézère Dordogne rivers to see another lovely village with a stony beach. Book a table under the plane trees in the garden, easy to book as all the reception staff speak English. This trip we visited the gardens of Eyrignac which we saw 20 years ago-much changed and lovely but Marqueyssac are still our favourite gardens with its cliff top views to Castelnaud, Beynac, Fayrac châteaux and the town of La Roque Gageac. Don't miss Lascaux IV, book online - this time we did it last minute and got in at 3.30pm English tour, great for all ages, especially the children as they get their own laptop! Buy your foie gras and confit of duck at the E Le Clerc supermarket - much cheaper and great quality, rather than paying extortionate prices in Sarlat. A lovely drive if you are interested in Bastide towns is to start in Belvès, worth a quick look for its 11th century centre and 15th covered market. Then onto Monpazier, Biron, Château Biron and finally Monflanquin, a great place for lunch (park at the top of the hill next to Église St André). Of course Rocamadour and Padirac caves are another must and if you feel like a big day out add Colonges La Rouge to the itinerary. When visiting Rocamadour, enter from the top, drive past all the parking costing 5euro or so and head to the well signposted "Le Chateau" parking which has 500 places and is free. Take the lift "Ascenseur" down into the town, buy the more expensive ticket to go all the way to the bottom of Rocamadour town, see the Sanctuaries, churches, walk up into town. Afterwards take the lift back up to the car and walk to the Ramparts. MARKET DAYS: Monday: Beynac, Les Eyzies (small one on the river) Tuesday: Le Bugue - highly recommend Wednesday: Sarlat and Saint-Cyprien Thursday: Domme and Monpazier Friday: La Roque-Gageac Saturday: Sarlat Sunday: Carnac, Limeuil and Saint-Cyprien (highly recommended) On Wednesday evenings from late June to mid August Belvès has a night food stall market which is fun, bring your own cutlery, glasses and nice plates if you don't want to eat off paper. Wine shop - an excellent wine shop, no more expensive than the supermarkets with great advice from English speakers is in Les Eyzies - Vin Blanc Rouge, 3 Ave de la Préhistoire.
We've sadly come to the end of a lovely week here chez Karen et Russell. They have been perfect hosts and have made our stay so memorable. The Loft is beautiful and the wonderful weather was very popular with the girls who loved their time around the pool. We look forward to returning in a few years to see how the magnificent looking maison de maitre comes together.
Our second time at this beautiful house. From the moment of arrived we were relaxed. The place is so tastefully furnished, the pool so welcoming. But most of all the hosts themselves make you feel very incredibly welcome and couldn't be more helpful. We had amazing weather for the week so we didn't venture far from the pool at all. Thank you Hugh and Ian for sharing your beautiful home and little piece of paradise with us, we will be back!

Our stay at La Petite Maison Générille was absolutely wonderful! The property is beautiful, the location is stunning, the hosts were fantastic - so helpful and friendly, made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for a relaxing and memorable Dordogne getaway.
Fabulous home in a beautiful location This was easily one of the best holidays we have had. The house itself is beautiful, it's been refurbished to a high standard from the waterfall showers in the high spec bathrooms to the large range in the kitchen to the cosy decorating in the bedrooms. The back garden has a lovely private in ground pool to cool off in and the surrounding patio has loungers to sunbathe in and is surrounded by pretty landscaping. There are endless beaches and historic towns to visit within short driving distance but you will be equally as content not leaving the house. The village is lovely, it has a couple of pubs and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk from the house, along with boulangeries, a butchers, green grocers and a supermarket. Markets every other day in the square. The house is within a stones throw of it all which we found so handy. Terry was always available should you need any assistance and was very thoughtful and considerate, as was his housekeeper agent Paul. I can't say enough about this property, it was fabulous in every way!
Large house with beautiful swimming pool. Well-equipped kitchen with, among other things, plancha outside, very pleasant! We also enjoyed the barbeque. All amenities are available. We were with 6 adults and 8 children, at the limit but certainly feasible. Thank you for the air conditioning in the rooms - electricity costs are always paid separately

We’ve had a wonderful week lounging by the pool and playing pool and table tennis, (all great for teenagers). Vinsobres is so lovely and only minutes away, Nyons and Vaison were good trips out.

We love all things duck and Sarlat offers the best. Exploring the surrounding countryside has been a pure pleasure. We had the good fortune of spending June in Sarlat and enjoyed the village come alive with music. We hope to come again and thank you.

The house and the grounds were fantastic. The rooms were all spacious and we particularly appreciated the bedroom set up with interlinking rooms from the nursery. We really enjoyed exploring the grounds and went for walks/runs. The children loved exploring the forest area The swimming pool was fantastic. Loungers etc. comfortable. The kids loved the swings, etc + the playroom was well stocked. Everything we needed was here. Catering service was delicious and we really appreciate you taking into account the intolerances. Very friendly service, nothing was too much to ask. The owners are never on top of us but there if needed. Much appreciated. Fantastic holiday, thank you.
Villa Bellara is a lovely property and a great place to stay. We would certainly recommend it! We were greeted by the very pleasant owner, Jean Luc, who was a wonderful host and provided lots of information on the villa itself and surrounding areas. Villa Bellara is a private gated property situated in a quiet residential area. The location is uphill, from the beachfront; and there are several good supermarkets with fresh produce nearby. The local train station is a short walk away which is great for exploring the nearby sights of Nice, Antibes and Monaco. The villa is very comfortable and spacious, with plenty of different spaces inside and outside for the family to relax either together or in smaller groups. It is well maintained, clean and well furnished. It has a great modern kitchen which is well equipped. Ice on tap and air conditioning in all the bedrooms too. The Wi-Fi for the teens was perfect and the UK TV was a nice surprise.
