We just wanted to send a short note to express our delight at this property and the warmth of the welcome from the owners. Their level of attention to detail is fantastic, to the extent that this feels like a boutique hotel level of accommodation.
We will be sure to recommend this French maison with so much character and charm to all our family and friends in Australia and England. We've had a marvelous time.
Our 2nd stay in Maison des Combes was very successful. The weather allowed us to enjoy the pool, walks and visits. Many deer and squirrels this year. 3 very friendly donkeys have embellished some productive fishing parties. Thank you to Karine and Pascale for their welcome and to Mr. Michelin for making this magnificent site available to us.
Le Jardin Secret did not disappoint, the village is beautiful and quiet and the garden is magical, I won’t say anymore than that! My family had a wonderful time thoroughly recommend a visit!
We have been coming to the south of France for over 20 years and Maison Theron was the best we have stayed in. The decor, furnishings and bedding were such good quality, we felt like we were staying in a boutique hotel! The local housekeeper did an amazing job as the house was spotless when we arrived. Thank you so much we will definitely be back!

An amazing week of relaxation. Spent a fantastic week at Château Velouse. Located in a tiny village the château is just a short drive from lots of interesting locations in the Loire valley. Château Velouse has everything you need for a relaxing week - beautiful bedrooms, lovely outdoor pool, barbeque and al fresco dining area and lovely dining room and lounge. We chose to self-catering but there are options to hire in a chef to prepare meals for your group. There was also lots of information in the château guide about other tailored services that were available such as wine tours. Claire and Phil made sure that everything was perfect for our stay and recommended places to visit.
Beautiful villa in a stunning location. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. The host who checked us in and out could not have been more helpful and friendly.
When can we go again!? Wonderful place and great for 3 couples to stay at and relax for a few nights. In the heart of the village which had enough to do if you just want some peace and quiet.

What can I say but awesome. We all arrived at the same time to drive up the long drive to the picturesque château. Obviously we had seen pictures but they did not do it justice. We were met with a glass of bubbly and were shown around the property. It was like being shown around a personal home rather than a holiday rental property. There was everything you could want for a relaxing holiday for our two families, including a tennis court, swimming pool, snooker / pool table, croquet set and the all important ice machine as we were in the middle of a heat wave. All the rooms were luxurious with all but one bedroom (which had it's own bathroom) having ensuite bathrooms and the two main bedrooms having dressing rooms as well. The grounds were spectacular and there was even gorgeous little chapel. The best endorsement I can give is that we were all discussing how we could come back next year. I just wanted to send a quick note to say that your house is truly amazing. The pictures framed our expectations but being here has exceeded them. We love the indoor / outdoor design of the house and the thoughtful marrying of aesthetics with functionality. We are wanting for nothing! My husband thoroughly enjoyed working at the desk on the mezzanine yesterday (the Wi-Fi and cell coverage was flawless), we both enjoyed long runs on the country roads and green walking trail and my boys love bouncing between the pool and huge yard for ball sports. Oh and I love cooking in your kitchen! I'm a cook and a believer that the kitchen should be the center of the house as it is in yours. Your lovingly done house is a magical place and I didn't want to let another day go you know by without letting how grateful we are to be here.
We had a wonderful time in this fully equipped house where you couldn't get bored.
Magical Chateau on a Hill overlooking the River Dordogne and Valley! We spent a week recently at Chateau les Tourelles and absolutely loved it! The house is quite grand and elegant and sits high up overlooking the river and valley below. Despite the endless rain (we did have some sun every day!) we enjoyed our time there immensely and hope to return soon. There are nine en-suite bedrooms that are very comfortable and lovely, each with their own flair. Very old world with recently updated bathrooms and great mattresses! The kitchen is perfectly appointed with whatever cookware, serving piece, plates and glassware etc you could possibly need. We made a few wonderful meals from the goods we found at the local markets. If there’s anything you are missing the property manager Martina is right there ready to help with anything. She’s on the property and available but not in the least bit intrusive, only super helpful. We rented bikes and explored many towns along the bike path which is at the end of the driveway. The medieval villages are stunning with so much history and steep stone walls and winding lanes through them. The owner Cassandra was very accommodating and helpful with whatever we needed and made great restaurant suggestions and day excursion suggestions. We hired a chef Teresa for 2 lovely dinners at the house. Delicious and wonderful! We loved her and her assistant Sarah. Thank you Chateau and the Dordogne region for letting us enjoy your charms. We absolutely loved it and hope to return!
Château Mézard is a stunning property and certainly set the backdrop for a very memorable family holiday. I can clearly see why you previously spoke so fondly of the château. The holiday was intended as a special celebration with close family. As such we were mixed in our ages and interests but the château provided the perfect setting to cater for all of our interests, from the little ones down to the adults amongst us. The children had tremendous fun in and around the pool. I personally took great pleasure in strolling around the beautiful grounds and taking in some of the breathtaking scenery. Laurent, Didier and Rachel did their upmost to ensure that we had a wonderful time and nothing was too much trouble for them.
What a house! Want for nothing. A home from home - plus ++ Thank you Natalie and Mike for everything and making our stay so enjoyable and all the little tips. (Myrtle needs lots of fuss made of her).

The most tranquil spot to spend a holiday next to a perfect pool, eating, drinking and relaxing. Stunning house and gardens, we didn't want to leave.
Just wonderful. We were delighted to find the property, delivered on everything promised. The restoration has been done well, with quality workmanship and many stylish features. The salon is an amazing room with ample space for even the largest party... The house was spotlessly clean on arrival and the owner even emailed to check that all was well. There are plenty of places to visit locally and we especially enjoyed the river walk. A second week would have been even better!
We had a fantastic week with family from Australia, London, Swansea and Belfast. Manoir Gascon was the perfect venue for games, dinner parties, runs and pool days. Thank you for all your wisdom, tips and advice.

It's been an absolute cracker. The house is a joy and the pool has been the centre of our stay. We've loved exploring the local area, particularly the beach side lunch in Cannes and wild afternoon at the inflatable waterpark at the lake.

So many memories. We were so lucky with the weather, so were able to take full advantage of the pool. The turret allowed for stargazing to a degree that we don't get at home. So many memories of laughter, drinking and family time. Thank you.

Magnificent property, super equipped, very large swimming pool at a perfect temperature, exceptional grounds, tennis court in perfect condition, well-appointed and comfortable common areas... Hard to beat for a family vacation! The place is perfect for children and less young people... Very clean, comfortable, very pleasant, excellent communication with the owners. The best!
Beautiful house - everything you could possibly need for a totally carefree and relaxing holiday. We loved it so much here we only ventured away from the property for 2 half days.
