After months of searching for the perfect 'retreat' we arrived at Le Presbytère! Exactly what we envisioned for our first trip to France with out kids. We have so enjoyed the pool, pond and of course, the whole place. We visited every bastide and market and cooked to our hearts content. Such an exquisite spot - we know the area very well - but rarely left this spot; instead played games, spotted frogs and foxes and explored every inch of this 'fab' property. Perhaps a X-mas visit next?! Many thanks for sharing this beautiful home - we hope to return soon. Gary and Louise were great - close at hand but unintrusive.

We have had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful villa for several weeks each summer for 8 years. We always return to this special house located within walking distance to the restaurants and boutiques of charming Valbonne. My two daughters have grown up returning each summer and every time, the owner has made appropriate updates to make our stay even better. The views and outdoor seating areas are spectacular. The bedrooms are well appointed. We always look forward to this trip and hope we can continue going.
Lézigno affords an extraordinary slice of regal French splendor - a small palace rather than a château - beautiful gardens and pool. Peaceful and elegant. The staff, Thierry and Nadine were kind and helpful.

Nothing was too much trouble, every request for information assiduously followed up and always discretely so you never intruded on our privacy. Along the way we feel we’ve made a new friend. The property itself is beautiful and immaculately maintained. Equipped with everything we could possibly need, we lacked for nothing. Nestled in amongst the vineyards we were fortunate enough to be there in time to watch and participate in the harvest. You even arranged for us to sample the wines made from the vineyards in the area. It was impossible not to take some home with us. Lots to explore, amazing restaurants, we fell in love with the Lot. We can fully appreciate how this haven stole your heart. Having holidayed over many years in France, this was definitely the highlight of all our travels. We returned to La Charmante Distillerie in July 2025 for three weeks after the most fantastic stay last year - and it felt just as special, if not more so, the second time around. Mark and Gary have created something truly memorable here: a place that strikes the perfect balance that is beautifully designed and endlessly comfortable, peaceful without being remote and thoughtful in all the ways that matter. Everything is designed to help you slow down and properly switch off. Our daughters, 13 and 15, instantly settled back into their favourite rhythm - hours in the pool, relaxing in the snug, making jewellery outdoors and enjoying the freedom the setting creates. And we did the same— café and a book in the early morning sun, long lunches and quiet evenings with a cocktail or two, followed by some stunning late-night stargazing. One of the real joys of returning was being able to explore the surrounding communes a little more, expertly guided by Mark and Gary’s thoughtful suggestions. From stunning local restaurants and distilleries, night food markets, artisanal crafts in Aubeterre, fascinating visits to beautiful Templar churches and an unforgettable day at the Bassins des Lumières in Bordeaux. Every recommendation was exactly what we didn’t know we were looking for. It made the whole experience feel richer and more connected. What once again made this visit even more meaningful was having Mark and Gary as hosts. They are the kindest, most generous and genuine couple. It’s rare to find a place that gets under your skin in the best possible way - but La Charmante Distillerie has done exactly that. Returning felt like coming home and we left feeling recharged, grateful and already planning our visit next year….....if Mark and Gary will have us. Its also hard not to repeat what we said after our first visit in 2024: we’d love to keep this our own little secret… but that wouldn’t be fair. It really is the perfect destination with the perfect hosts.
What a wonderful stay we had at Camirout! You only truly feel the atmosphere of a place when you’re there, and Camirout absolutely has a unique charm. The care and love put into the garden are noticeable, it was a delight to be surrounded by all that greenery! We enjoyed lovely walks, explored castles, and of course had a blast in the pool. Thank you Madeline and Alan we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will cherish these beautiful memories forever!
Everything about this stay was perfect! The location (in a small village which boasts a lovely hotel / bar / restaurant, a shop in which you can buy all you need, local wine producers and an organic butchers lorry visiting twice a week) to close proximity to beautiful walking routes and access to nearby towns with great markets, to the house itself which is the epitome of Provence living. Comfortable, thoughtfully restored and furnished and with every amenity you could wish for. The outside areas are great too - a beautiful pool area and several eating / barbecue and relaxation areas to take advantage of the sun or shade as you need. Perfect for large family gatherings as all the rooms are en suit and private except one which has an adjoining room perfect for those with young children although it still has 2 bathrooms! The house and grounds are looked after by a lovely couple who are on hand to help if needed with taxi's advice etc. We will be back!
A superb week spent in the Loft du Vigneron. Thank you Karen and Russell for being wonderful hosts and recommending amazing restaurants and equally great days out. Our 'home' for the week was truly special with so much attention to detail and gorgeous touches.

We had a great time at Dale and his wife's house. Very comfortable, the main house and the cottage are for 6 people: 3 spacious and very beautiful bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, it is very spacious and the amenities are quality. The accommodation is tastefully renovated and everything is thought out to ensure a great stay. The pool is great! It's very quiet and peaceful, a real place to rest and recharge. These are beautiful things to see on the surroundings, but you have to drive a little. Dale and his wife are caring hosts, they left us a nice basket filled with goodies when we arrived. If we have a chance, we'll be happy to come back! You can go there without a second thought!
We celebrated a week's holiday with 6 adult children and 2 grandchildren. The house is equipped with all modern conveniences, has a beautiful and complete interior, but still has an authentic appearance. The space in and around the house is gigantic and there is plenty of entertainment for everyone: from a nice swimming pool with many sun loungers to a room with numerous games and a good tennis court. Highly recommended for a family holiday. We will definitely go back again.

We have all enjoyed staying in your magnificent Maison Richelieu. The house and village of Richelieu is a wonderful location for exploring the Loire Valley which we have all done. The décor of the maison is fantastic and we have taken ideas with us for what we can do in our own houses when we return home. Thank you again for our time here!
Absolutely stunning property, wonderful swimming pool. Enchanting surroundings. We have has an absolutely delightful stay and have enjoyed every moment of this relaxing holiday.
We booked Château Velouse as we love the Loire region. Definitely not disappointed... the welcome from the hosts Claire and Phil was lovely, the rooms were huge in size and height, great ensuites, it can hold 16 adults plus 4 children. Loads of space in the extensive grounds which are walled and fenced, we felt very secure and great for children and our dog to explore. The large swimming pool was fantastic and spent a lot of time there lounging on luxury sun beds under the umbrellas (30C plus during our stay). We had some wonderful evening meals during our stay either outside patio area which seated us all with lovely lighting or inside in the huge dining room. As a group of family and friends we took turns to cook which was great fun and the kitchen is very well equipped to cater for a large group. We had trips out to Bourges, Sancerre and a day on a local golf course, all recommended
We have had a very enjoyable 2 weeks stay at Le Pigat. There is plenty of room and it is very well equipped with everything you need. The daily delivery of fresh bread is a must for anyone staying here. Very tasty. We spent lazy days by the pool. Lots of fun. Evenings spend dining on the terrace, in the true French way. We would like to thank everyone for their very friendly welcome on our arrival.
Our visit was a combination of stepping back in time and renewing our future selves. The estate is a magical place to explore and I found myself checking out of life's hustle and bustle. A short stroll to the village offered a variety of delicious fare, shopping and amazing photo opportunities!
We spent, with our 4 children, stepchildren and our 2 granddaughters, 2 weeks of extraordinary holidays at Domaine Rabassie, from September 12 to 26. Domaine Rabassie is a magnificent place, a true haven of peace, beautifully decorated and more than comfortable. The photos on the site are already very pretty, but the reality is even better. What about the facilities: the super hyper equipped kitchen, the bedding (super comfortable king size beds), the heated swimming pool and its many sun beds, the pizza oven (homemade pizzas cooked on wood, a delight!), Billiard, the ping-pong table and….. the tennis court with, what's more, night lighting. We played tennis games at all hours…. a real pleasure. We cannot, of course, talk about Domaine Rabassie, without talking about the caretakers who live 2 km from the Domaine. They take care of the Estate with passion and perfection, they are charming and so dedicated. They greatly contributed to the success of our vacation. Many thanks to them. Thank you also to the owner for the hospitality (without forgetting the Blanquette de Limoux as a welcome gift). You feel at home at Domaine Rabassie. Holidays to live or relive without any hesitation.

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay. The gite is very well appointed with lots of games, which our daughter really enjoyed. We especially enjoyed the warm swimming pool (cleaned daily), summer kitchen, beautiful garden and multiple outside seating areas. It is very well located and within easy reach of some beautiful Bastide villages. We especially liked Villareal and Eymet. Special thanks to Jean and Martin, who are perfect hosts and on hand to provide recommendations if needed. The local village of Lauzun is within a five-minute walk and we recommend the boulangerie and weekly table gourmands held during the summer. We are already planning a return visit!
This house is even better than we remembered it - we feel so relaxed and at home here.
We are a family from 3 to 78 and thoroughly enjoyed staying at Château Périgord this week. We were fascinated by how beautifully it's renovated and decorated. All couples within our family had a nice room to stay in and the beds were good. The flowering garden, with fragrant lavender and refreshing swimming pool were a real joy. The kids played jeux de boules on the gravel, football on the perfectly trimmed lawn and spent many hours in the pool. We preferred cooking our own meals in the large Médiéval style kitchen (as we all like cooking) and had dinner at a long table at the courtyard. Château Périgord has so many places to sit and to enjoy the atmosphere and beautiful features and games to play that there was no need to do many trips elsewhere. We cycled in the area and did some jogging up the hills followed by cooling down in the pool. Thank you for a fantastic and relaxing stay!

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week holiday in France. We cannot recommend the property highly enough. It is very well equipped, the pool always warm and cleaned daily, in a great location and Jean, Martin and of course Tanner the dog so welcoming and helpful. This was our second time and already planning when we can return!
