Great place!! We really enjoyed our week here. Pool, excitement of the stay, the tortoise and the location. We think that the tortoise should be named Trevor. :) We loved Bordeaux. Some great restaurants in Libourne: MA Restaurant and Bistro Maritime. Very enjoyable wine cellar tour and tasting at Château de la Rivière just up the road. Recommend Grotte Pair-non-Pair near Bourg. Thank you from us all !
A wonderful villa and a great host. We have had an amazing holiday in Maison des Communes and the surrounding areas. Delicious meals at restaurant de la Tour and Pica Pica in Béziers. Some enjoyable cycling and lots of relaxing by the pool (The pool was looked after excellently by the host). Breakfast delivery was a real treat too! Thank you.
Absolutely stunning, luxury converted distillery in the countryside of Challignac. Extremely high end furnishings and appliances. Beautiful interior design, all air conditioned and with an amazing outdoor heated pool with spacious patio, cushioned loungers, sofas and outside dining together with BBQ, Boules court and children’s play area all surrounded by beautiful gardens, and stunning tranquil countryside. It was beautiful to sit out with a morning coffee, watching deer walk through the field at the front. The beds were the most comfortable we’d ever slept in, the showers were fantastic, everything is top notch. Gary and Mark made our week extra special with fabulous recommendations of places to visit and excellent restaurants all nearby. They responded instantly to any request we had, but were totally respectful of our privacy unless we contacted them. We cannot recommend staying here enough and are booking for next year.
This is my second visit to the beautiful ‘Rusty Shears gite’ hosted by Kirstie and Russell. From the outset our stay was just perfect. We were made very welcome and even had welcome drinks upon arrival. This was a special visit for my mums birthday and Kirstie even baked a cake, which was absolutely delicious. The gite is immaculately presented and the interior is simply gorgeous, with sumptuous cushions, uniquely bespoke painted furniture and house plants that compliment the gite’s luxurious eclectic style. The outside space is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine and listening to the nature that surrounds the outside space. They have thought of everything; an outside eating area, complete with overhead sails to stay in the shade, corner sofa area complete with parasol to stay in or out of the shade, a bbq area with small outside prep area, hot tub and even 4 sun loungers. The location is set in the countryside so expect to drive or cycle to the local vineyards and restaurants but rest assured Kirstie and Russell can recommend plenty of places of interest and even arrange cycle hire or restaurant bookings if preferred. All in all a really tranquil long weekend away that offered us plenty of tasty local food, vineyard visits, rest and relaxation in the sunshine. If you’re an animal lover then you’ll also appreciate Kirstie’s love of animals too and if you’re lucky you’ll get to taste a freshly laid egg from ’Cluckingham palace!’ A truly wonderful space and warm welcome that will encourage you to return. A gem of a holiday find - we will definitely be going back soon! Thank you Kirstie and Russell for your hospitality during our stay at Rusty Shears gite and for making great memories!

An exceptional discovery in Meursault! The property is finely furnished, clean and comfortable. Just a stone's throw from the center and various wineries. I highly recommend it to everyone! We will return soon! Well done.

We all liked this house because of the pool and the bedrooms and especially the BIG BIG garden. We love that there is a pool table. The kids and adults love jumping in the pool. Hope we get to come here again. We all didn't want to leave.
Amazing place and amazing host Very nice place with a beautiful view. We were greeted very nicely by Danny who was exceptionally nice. We felt at home and hope they felt safe with us as well.
It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. Simply a wonderful holiday, house and village We're just back from spending a week in this fabulous house in a great little village. The house had everything to make our stay totally comfortable with loads of space for our party of two couples and could have accommodated two or three more people easily. The pool and pool area were great with plenty of loungers and seating with a nice shaded area for refuge from the sun at the hight of the afternoon but best of all there is a great terrace where we spent the warm evenings with a glass or three of our favourite tipple. We were able to join in the fun and celebrations in the local bars as France progressed in the World Cup, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The village itself has all we would want bakeries, a couple of bars and restaurants with pretty good food and all just 1 to 2 minutes walk from the house, there is even a good supermarket 5 minutes walk away. All in all we had a great holiday and can't wait to go back next year, 5 stars from us.
We stayed as a whole family, 6 adults and 2 children, for 4 days. The house has everything you need to enjoy a few days in the south of France. The owners have always been very friendly and willing to help with whatever was needed. Thanks.
Just a quick note to thank you for organising our week’s holiday at Domaine de Brugairolles. We had a great time all together and enjoyed being at the Domaine. Annoyingly the weather wasn’t very good which slightly changed the dynamics of the holiday! But we enjoyed visiting Carcassonne, Mirepoix and Limoux – it’s a very attractive part of France. The four houses are well appointed and comfortable. The swimming pool area with the fabulous kitchen/dining/lounging area is great. The kitchen has all one wants with lots of fridges. It’s the real highlight of the venue! We also enjoyed being close to the Vineyard, its restaurant and its separate bar. The walks too all around the vineyard and the sleepy village of Brugairolles are great. Another plus are all the sporting facilities. Zoe, the Manager, was extremely helpful, cooked and left us a delicious dinner on the night of our arrival and was generally friendly as was her daughter Melissa. Many thanks again for your help.

The house is beautiful, like home from home, kitchen is fully equiped for all eventualities. We have slept wel in comfortable beds and enjoyed the beautiful garden. Thank you Sharon for recommending the local bar for food - we had a fantastic night there and few lazy afternoon drinks too! What a wonderful Loft! We love all the furniture; so lovely to have 'proper furnishings' and not sofas with throws! We loved all the 'Maisons du Monde' additions and the kitchen is great to cook in. Wonderful attention to detail, so that you really feel 'at home'. The terrace is fabulous; we loved sitting out there first thing in the morning. Thanks also for all the recommendations for the specialist wine tours - our wine trip was first rate. Your hospitality and company was excellent and we loved the trip to see 'Le Jardin Champetre' nursery - thank you. Also, the pool is so clear and wonderful to swim in.

We had a very good holiday in Eva's cottage. Everything was in order It is a very spacious house, with large (bathroom), with a soothing terrace with a large swimming pool. Perfect for a group trip. Communication with Eva went very well.
What a beautiful location, breathtaking. A very warm welcome, you feel at home because of the fine reception. The hosts help you with everything you could want. The gîte is also spick and span and meets all your needs. Had a very relaxing holiday. Exactly as it should be! We recommend it to everyone and will definitely come here again.
A beautiful home in a private location- a perfect base. For us, the best bits- The property is all yours. No near neighbours, nobody overlooking you, a private pool (enclosed which is great for young kids). There's loads of grass areas as well, plus a barn with table tennis/ darts etc. There are a lot of fruit trees at the property and we even enjoyed some of these whilst there, though it is possible these attract some extra wasps though this was not a real issue during our stay. The house is 20/25minutes from Bergerac airport, ideal! The location is remote so don't expect to walk in to the local town, and the town itself isn't full of things to see etc. For us, our favourite trips out are Limeuil, Le Bugue, Tremolat and Cadouin for picturesque towns with quaint shops and nice cafes! Amazing prompt communication, The owners couldn't do enough to help. Thanks so much.

House: Fantastic. Idyllic. Perfect. Classical. Beautiful. Spacious. Practical. Comfortable. Beautiful area for touring (Brantôme, Jarnac). Garden: Very child friendly. Garden Jenga etc. Clean and very safe. Beautiful pool and alfresco dining areas. Also adult friendly. V good Gas BBQ.
