Everything you would need is provided for a perfect stay in this part of southern France. A range of seating areas throughout the garden and the pool were delightful. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable The hosts were charming, friendly and helpful, but very discrete.
Our stay was very comfortable, great beds, we had the best sleep ever. The house was very clean, Rosetta your housekeeper was perfect, such a lovely welcome from her. 5 Star Stay! – Thank you.
Duras... I love cooking, the kitchen is wonderful and the city's market place is perfect for organising the perfect dinner.. the perfect kitchen is ready to prepare the table... the outdoor patio... the splendid terrace with a view of the valley or a dip in the swimming pool whilst having a barbecue!
Great spacious house with plenty of room for our family of 6 adults both inside and out with a suitably large pool. Would also suit 2 families holidaying together. Good peaceful location with all essential amenities within walking distance e.g. supermarket ; restaurant; butcher; etc. and easy driving distance to other local villages and Béziers. We had a great time here and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
We stayed in Jean and Martin’s beautiful Gite over the recent May Bank Holiday and we were absolutely delighted with our stay in every way we could possibly be! The Gite itself is immaculately appointed; it is beautifully in character and so generously equipped with all one needs for a seamless and relaxing stay. The kitchen boasts a washing machine and dishwasher - really useful for a longer stay . Great outside area with a bbq and an extra outside kitchen area, sink and 2nd fridge. The outside dining terrace is so comfortable and looks out on a beautifully maintained garden area with pool , sun chairs and gazebo - so comfy and relaxing. The bathroom is a very good size with both bath and shower. Upstairs are two generously sized bedrooms - one double and then a twin room.. Although my husband and I travelled with friends on this occasion, it was very apparent that the Gite is beautifully family friendly ; a cot and high chairs are also provided . The surrounding area is stunning - a few minutes walk to the local shops and cafes. Not far at all by car from many local beautiful areas and restaurants. Jean and Martin are perfect hosts - we honestly couldn’t ask for more and we will definitely be returning.
The most enjoyable part of France. The most enjoyable stay in “luxe” villa. Highlights: fresh veg from Duras market on Monday. eating out at Eymet, almost any restaurant will do, but particular favourites are Cour d’Eymet and Château les Vigiers. watching the red kites hunting over the fields in the evening . The lizards and the geko on the patio. All in all a memorable experience.
We felt very comfortable here in this house with the beautiful garden and pool. Peacefulness, rest and relaxation - What more would you want? We particularly appreciated how attentive and helpful people were in Bessan and Agde as we needed help for our little Leah. We have greatly enjoyed our time, recovered and will definitely come back. Perfect for large families Amazing property, well equipped for large groups and space for all to spend time together or escape each other! Great pool and pool area. Great having so many bedrooms and bathrooms when holidaying with extended family and lots of kids! Wonderful manager on hand to answer any questions and offer recommendations. Will definitely return!

We absolutely loved our time here. The owner was a joy to work with. The home was absolutely charming. It was located on a picturesque hill, featured spacious, comfortable rooms and every luxury one would need while there. The home was spotless upon our arrival and the neighbors on the street were extremely helpful, pleasant and welcoming. We enjoyed swimming in the crisp, cool pool; hearing the church bells ring and exploring the neighboring villages as we attending the daily farmer's markets. We cannot wait to come back and are considering an extended stay as we fell in love with the area and this home. I would highly recommend it if you would like to truly experience the people and feel of the region.
We wished we had booked 3 weeks! We felt at home the moment we were treated by the lovely Julian and Pascal. Pool and garden amazing. Enjoyed the wildlife, red squirrels, birds etc. We enjoyed a surprise visit from our son Oliver. We had no idea and the pool!
Writing this sitting at the table and chairs by the well - blue skies and warm sunshine, it has been a perfect week, absolutely loved everything about the house, garden and pool - so hard to leave. To make the stay even more special, I celebrated my 60th birthday with all my family and we had yummy cakes delined by Amanda - huge thank you.

We have had the most wonderful time at Maison des Hirondelles. The villa is beautiful and had everything we needed, so clean, comfortable and well thought out. We visited Narbonne, Carcassonne, Gruissan, Minerve (fantastic chocolate shop!), Béziers, Canal du Midi with the 9 locks. Thank you for showing us your wine cellar, such a lovely touch. I had the great pleasure of spending a fabulous week at this property. An oasis in the center of this charming french town. 3 minutes walk to the town where you find boulangeries selling fresh croissants in the morning; to lovely restaurants scattered around the cobbled back streets and a fabulous weekend market. The surrounding area has much to offer for those keen on exploring Agde, Sete or beautiful Marseillan, to name just a few. The property itself is decorated to the highest standard. You can see it was a labour of love. Stylish and yet homely. The bedrooms beautifully decorated light and airy. Beds so comfortable. The kitchen designed for entertaining. A huge open plan sitting and dining area perfect for a cosy family meal or a dinner party, as we enjoyed on more than one occasion. The outside area perfect for a long day lounging by the pool or chilling in the evening with the bbq going. A totally private setting! What more could one ask for. Great communication with the owner. Nothing was a problem. I would highly recommend this property, if you are looking for a 5 star experience in a stunning location.
We had a lovely stay under the mulberries this summer. The house is well located near the river Aude where we had a lovely day kayaking and a short cycle ride from several lovely villages and markets. Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommended.
