A truly beautiful house and gardens. We have had a tremendous week. We really appreciated the generosity of our hosts - full use of the sport equipment made for three very happy children!
A great time was had by all. We loved this little piece of paradise in Provence! Magnifique! Hope we'll be back again sometime.
An antidote to the rush of everyday life. For some of the party this was our second visit to le Manoir Des Fouilloux, all of us were equally enchanted and delighted. As our 21 year old Son Jacob said “staying here is a once in a lifetime experience” its so special and he was thrilled to to be there. We variously spent time mesmerised by lizards, black bees, admiring the wonderful gardens and flowers and the numerous humming-bird moths. Lots of time was spent reading by the pool, sampling local wine and playing raucous card games. The beauty of the house and gardens are soothing - and all important antidote to the rush of everyday life. Thank you Ian and Hugh so very much, we hope to return very soon.
We had a wonderful family holiday, the house is beautiful and had everything we needed. The outside area is simply perfect. The children loved the pool and the garden. Good restaurants nearby. Thanks for everything.
Our two week stay at this fantastic French villa has been the highlight of our summer. A massive thank-you must go to Philippe. From day one he has been an amazing host, bringing us personalised bread and breakfast pastries and taking Ed wine tasting. We loved our restaurant visit also organised by Philippe to La Tour in Montady. He has been our go-to for tourist information and local knowledge, from beach recommendations to where to buy a birthday cake. On top of that, our dogs (Bella and Luna) have loved him. The villa itself is gorgeous and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in. We’ve enjoyed days around the pool, barbecues in the evenings and games in the salon after many wonderful little excursions that surround Maureilhan. We do not want to leave! Mais c’est la vie!

Just wonderful. We were delighted to find the property, delivered on everything promised. The restoration has been done well, with quality workmanship and many stylish features. The salon is an amazing room with ample space for even the largest party... The house was spotlessly clean on arrival and the owner even emailed to check that all was well. There are plenty of places to visit locally and we especially enjoyed the river walk. A second week would have been even better!
Really brilliant week at Mas Saint-Cernin. We have loved the houses, garden, pool, views, sun-rises and sunsets, birds, red squirrels etc etc. The local towns are so pretty and the fantastic markets provided most of our food. Lots of coffee stops. Found it easy to do boulangerie trip. Intermarche just outside Castillonnes was an easy supermarket shop (done on Tuesday after visiting the great market where we got large boxes of peaches, apricots and haricot vert for 5 Euros. Great wine tasting at Les Verdots - wish we had gone there earlier for our wine. La Brucellerie great for a meal. Bikes hired from Bergerac cycle hire, google Apolo cycles. Best to book in advance but really helpful man there. Huge thanks to John and Lesley for providing such wonderful accommodation (they have thought of everything) and for being so warm and helpful all week. We have appreciated your many kindnesses. Hope to return soon.
One of the finest holiday rentals we have ever had - the house, the internal furnishing, the swimming pool, the grounds - all are exceptional. From the friendly, informative and interesting welcome from Bruno, the caretaker, to the friendly departure message from Victoire, this rental cannot be faulted. We would return to the property in an instant for another holiday. For anyone travelling to this region, this property is one of the very best rentals available - the finest quality all the way.

Thank you so much for our lovely relaxing stay in your home. We have waited a couple of years due to covid and our boys (and ourselves) really enjoyed our stay. You made us feel so welcome and we have very muh enjoyed spending time in your garden watching regular visitors like woodpeckers, buzzards and barn owls, etc. We are already planning to come back and promise to visit more of the region. This is the ideal destination for an outdoorsy type holiday. The walking is superb and the scenery is magnificent. It is, quite frankly, a bit of a wrench to be leaving.
Two weeks of idyllic bliss in the rolling French countryside with superb weather to atch. As a family young and old, we enjoyed the stunning house, garden, pool and views. To agree with the previous guests, Laparade is the place to be on a Tuesday evening. Days spent at Biscarosse beach and lakeside both worth the journey. Would also highly recommend in house beauty treatments. We had massages and facials. Fantastic. Just ask Olivia.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Maison Celte, the villa has amazing views to the South, and a lovely pool and all the amenities one could wish for. The village of Tourtour is within 15minutes walk and is absolutely beautiful with a pretty square with small shops, bars and restaurants. We would highly recommend Maison Celte.
The house was amazing, we went as a group, 6 adults 2 infants and we all loved the house. The photos are true to life. The pool is lovely and perfect for kids as the deep end is still shallow enough for an adult to stand up in. The kitchen is well stocked and great to cook in, there is also a good bbq outside. The local village has a lovely boulangerie, butcher and little shop. Monpazier is only a 20 min drive and Fumel only 20 minutes which has a great supermarket. Samantha is a great host, she was there for anything we needed and booked us some massages. We will definitely be returning to Samantha’s house, thank you for making our first holiday in 4 years so special.

We came here to celebrate a couple of family birthdays and get some time together. From the moment we walked in the door we quickly came to realise what an amazing place this is. The view from the kitchen window (bu the sink) literally brought my sister to tears. ... in a very positive way. This week has allowed us to explore the area to some degree, but with so much on offer around and in the property, there was little incentive to go anywhere. The difficulty now will be to keep this gem of a property a secret from others, as we will undoubtedly tell everyone about this fantastic place. Thank you for so generously sharing your house. We loved Le Séchoir we have come home and booked for three weeks again next year. Positioned in the wooded hills above the village of Salviac. It's mixture of contemporary and old was perfect. The house is spacious and well equipped. Whilst the large swimming pool may seem remote from the house it is perfectly positioned for sun all day... that special last swim at the end of the day as the sunsets over the valley and the Rosé waits chilled!
The villa has been all we hoped for and more. The accommodation is superb as are all the facilities. What a bonus to have the (choose and order) breakfast deliveries,. The lemon cake was gorgeous. Would recommend the Tuesday market at Clairac Market. Our week was VERY HOT – so we made very good use of the lovely pool. We enjoyed walking / cycling into Mauvezin. The shopkeepers were all very friendly and welcoming. The villa was perfect for our family of 8. Would absolutely recommend it. Merci beaucoup Philippe, superb host and translator!
We have had the most wonderful time in this lovely home. We all lead very busy lives and wanted a relaxing break, and this did just that. We all feel very relaxed after spending lots of hours by the pool. Even though it has been an extreme heatwave this week the pool has been a lifesaver! We enjoyed the market at Eymet on Thursday morning, and would recommend the Chez Marcel in Issigeac for some excellent French food, lovely by the canal. Mark has been super helpful when we’ve needed his help with any questions.
A beautiful house which we have enjoyed, lovely to swim in the pool, enjoy the views and sunshine. Very well equipped kitchen much appreciated, we shall return.
