We have had a brilliant holiday! Loved the villa and pool and the surrounding area. We loved it here.
What a beautiful, well appointed home in a wonderful location. Despite the odd bit of rain we and our guests enjoyed our two week stay immensely. Thank you to the owners who were perfect hosts – helpful, friendly and on hand when needed, without encroaching an inch on our privacy. We could not have asked for more, either of you or of Domaine de Nérige. You have designed the perfect holiday home and we and our guests would have been happy to stay longer, much longer. After a cool and wet start, we have enjoyed a lovely sunny week exploring the area around this charming and well-appointed cottage. Even ventured a dip in the pristine pool! Thank you Caterina, Steve and Bennie.
The apartment is incredibly cool and offers a breathtaking view from the large balcony. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful, which suited us very well. We will definitely go back. It is good to know that there is no grocery store in the immediate vicinity. It is recommended to have a car if you do not choose to do your daily exercise in connection with your purchases. :)

What a fabulous week! The open-plan ground floor was cool in the midday heat and comfortable in the evenings. Good sized dining space, lounge area and sunken kitchen with a large table. We had everything we needed. Upstairs the master bedroom was spacious and dual aspect with a large ensuite. The two twin rooms were comfortable and personal. Everything was spotlessly clean and in excellent condition, while still being welcoming and personal. The outside space was of an equally high standard. A patio area for dining al fresco, bbq and a beautiful pool area, set in an established garden of trees and shrubs. It was a perfect place to while away the day. The pool was a very comfortable 29 degrees c and maintained by the host, Debbie, so we didn't have to do any more than enjoy it! Debbie was an excellent and considerate host. We were greeted on arrival with cool drinks and a warm welcome and she was helpful and kind throughout the visit, arranging a few restaurant bookings and leaving gifts of fruit and vegetables from the property at our doorstep. Debbie was particularly lovely to our teenage daughter who was enamoured by the house cats. The surrounding area was beautiful, with lots to do and we loved every minute of exploring it, but it was always nice to come 'home' to Carcavi.
An ideal place to spend a vacation with family or friends. The house is exposed in such a way that we have the sun all day with a view of the castle on one side and the valley on the other. The summer kitchen near the swimming pool allowed us to eat from morning to evening but we were also able to have breakfast in the courtyard with the rising sun and dinner on the terrace in the light of the setting sun. The house is very large and well equipped, the rooms are spacious and everything is tastefully decorated. We appreciated the proximity of the village, accessible on foot very quickly, but also discovering the region by car. A royal stay in a majestic place where we played the game of having an evening on the theme of “castle life”. It's your turn to play the squire.

Thank you again for the wonderful time in this very nice location. Although it was our 2nd time here, there was and is still much to explore in Occitanie! One of the favourites was the canoe trip on the Orb river (canoe-tarassac.com). We can clearly recommend it to all future visitors of this holiday house. Not to forget the beaches nearby, Château Négly if you want to taste and purchase local wine, and last but not least the swimming pool.
The house and grounds are truly outstanding. Excellent facilities! The Wii provides welcome entertainment for the children (and adults) during breaks from the sun. The kitchen was very well stocked. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were very well hosted throughout. This was an exceptional holiday which I would not hesitate to recommend to others.
Le Presbytère genuinely exceeded our expectations in all areas. We primarily booked this property for the covered eating and relaxing area adjacent to a fabulous heated pool and the number of bedrooms. The history and setting of the property and it's views to the rear over beautiful countryside, were a real bonus and joy. The wildlife was of real interest to us all and the table tennis was played regularly by us all. Mark and Amanda were friendly and keen to help with any queries we had. Thank you again and in particular for providing the electric fans which were essential during such a hot period in July. We don't usually return to the same property on holiday but just might make an exception with Le Presbytère!
We have had at the perfect family holiday at Le Manoir de Duras. The tomatoes from the garden were a delicious bonus! We all loved the pool and laying on the sun beds late a night watching the stars. Has some great meals in town and daily boulangerie too. A trip to the chocolate factory is a must. perfect on a rainy day for the kids! The house is absolutely stunning. were all agree one of the best places we've ever stayed. Thank you.
Thank you both so much for a magical 5-night stay. We have absolutely loved staying here and will miss it when we go home! The gîte is amazing, beautiful inside and out. We really appreciate all of your efforts for making our stay so comfortable. Such a lovely touch having fresh bread, eggs and veg from your garden waiting for us - perfect. We’ve had a wonderful 2 weeks, the girls have loved the swimming pool and all the facilities. We spent many relaxing days reading in front of the beautiful views. The house is very comfortable. Nyons, Orange, Avignon, Vaison la romaine were all very picturesque and worth a visit, especially the amazing Roman theatre in Orange. All in all a fabulous trip. We will be back.
Had a wonderful 2 weeks at the Maison Baleyssagues in Lot-et-Garonne. Great days out in Bordeaux and the countryside. Weather great for the most part. Really enjoyed the super pool - which has been the best so far. Thanks so much to Frederic for being such an entertaining host. See you gain soon.

Our week has been wonderful and made all the better due to the exceptional care and attention you both put into this special place. We have loved our holiday in Sarlat, so many perfect moments made our holiday a memorable one, delicious restaurants, stunning Chateaus and a peacefully (long )canoe trip along the Vézère. France once again you have delivered. Merci.
We had high expectation of this holiday and were not disappointed. The property is a piece of history in an area steeped in the past. From the moment we arrived, greeted by a couple you seemed to have been friends with all your life, the stresses of every day life evaporated. We immediately felt at home and were very quickly making plans for our next visit. The cottage looks picture postcard from the outside and there really is no detail left undone. The inside has its historic charm in place but with all the amenities necessary so that you are not required to live the Médiéval lifestyle of many some other rural accommodation in France. The rooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated and there are large bathroom and shower facilities (upstairs and down). The private swimming pool is superb and was for our sole use. Its clear waters under pine trees and a blue sky were idyllic. It was difficult to tear my wife from the pool side. The cottage fits perfectly into an area of outstanding beauty where many of the sites we wished to visit were only minutes away. The owners were very welcoming and provided good advice on the places to visit but were not overwhelming so that you could always enjoy complete privacy. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and cannot recommend it more highly. If you want to tour the area to see the 1,000 châteaux and the countless prehistoric sites in the area or just chill by the pool, this is the place for you. Thank you for a lovely week.

We would recommend eating at L'Ambrosia in Pezens, La Bergerie at Aragon and the restaurant at Le Château de Pennautier (quite local). Narbonne was a pleasant surprise (including its plage) for a day trip.
What a wonderful week, the house has real soul and you have thoughtfully made the very best of each view. Wonderful seats in the garden, shade and sun to maximise the pleasure. The house is absolutely charming and all the finishing touches have made for a very special week. Not only a holiday but I feel culturally enhanced too. Uzes is absolutely perfect + great shops + food!
