Magnificent house, even more beautiful than the photos. Very spacious, very tastefully decorated (too bad we can't buy the decor). We had a wonderful week, both parents and children. Thanks to Steve for his smile and his good humor. We will definitely be back !!!
We have all loved our stay here. Wish we had booked 2 weeks. Very traditional but you have provided all the modern amenities needed, with out compromising that gîte feeling. Hope to return. enjoyed afternoons in the pool and watching the amazing sunset from the driveway. Enjoyed the live entertainment in the square of Verteillac outside Le Calice bar. Must visit the beautiful town of Brantôme.
We loved our stay - we were in a mixed group and it worked really well as each couple had their own space and privacy, but there are wonderful spaces for entertaining as a large group. The pool area is stunning and the setting is calm, quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed taking the bikes on trips to nearby villages too!

We loved the house, pool, garden and secret staircases. Robert and Nelly looked after us so well and were charming and friendly. We had lovely dinners, picnics, running, cycling and there were several games of Sardines. Thank you so much; it's been the perfect place for a holiday.

Words cannot express how fantastic this place is. The sunsets, the pool, the kitchen, the coffee machine…all sublime.
The pool and garden are lovely and well kept. The main living area is light and airy. The laundry room was very useful. The area is quiet and peaceful.
We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Lavinière! The pool was fantastic, the views were beautiful and the surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. Despite the heat, we slept wonderfully thanks to the air conditioning. In a sentence: Simply lovely!
We thought that the Loft was lovely. We've had a great two weeks in beautiful accommodation. We've enjoyed exploring the region but have left plenty to do to give us a reason to come back. I know the girls will miss Mack and Mabel - we'll keep you posted if we succumb to their requests to get one of our own! Thank you both for your company and warm hospitality.

Fantastic spacious house (in m² as well as in m3) with a well thought out design interior. The garden is an estate with the occasional deer.
What a wonderful property! The fantastic set up with different residences suited our family group perfectly. The outdoor dining area and the mini kitchen were great, and having so much fridge space there and by the pool was very helpful. Mireille was absolutely brilliant – both in terms of advice and information before our arrival and while we were here. Thank you for a truly lovely stay.
We have had a wonderfully relaxing holiday in this beautiful house in divine location. The garden is filled with wildlife and we've enjoyed many an hour listening to the birds and watching the bumblebees and butterflies. My recommendation would be to sit back, relax and just take it all in.
What an amazing experience, in a truly beautiful part of France (and new to us all). The house is lovely as well as the 360° views - magical! The kids loved the pool and we managed to get them out for food, sleep and car!

Thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed the house and the boys (13 and 11) loved the pool! It was a great place to have as our base and we explored the Dordogne and Lot enjoying kayaking, zip-lines, châteaux, markets, medieval towns, caves and gardens. Monpazier was one of our favourites! Very pleasant and restful stay for an extended family. My extended family and I stayed at Château Velouse for two weeks in August. It was a delightful time. The hosts are exceptional. We were treated to a warm welcome after arriving later than usual, after a long and tiring journey. All we needed for supper and the following day's breakfast was provided free and with no fuss. That set the tone for the rest of the stay. The hosts couldn't have been more friendly and helpful throughout our time there. Château Velouse easily absorbs a large number of people. High ceilings and wide hallways give a great sense of space. The rooms are large and comfortable. The ensuites are of a high standard and the grounds are magnificent. We all had a magical time. Our sincere thanks to Claire and Phil and Alex for all you did to make this post wedding get together a wonderful success.
The house was very comfortable and the facilities were great it made a good centre for touring the area so we would be happy to recommend the house to anyone else.
We have just returned from a wonderful 3 weeks at La Fontaine. Your property is set in such a beautifully tranquil location and you have done it out so tastefully. We also appreciated that you are so trusting of people who rent it. Furthermore, we very much valued help from Marjorie and Dave with a couple of minor problems. Obviously, we are now subject to the UK's quarantine restrictions, but we feel this is a small price to pay for the lovely time we had. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at La Fontaine.
Would just like to say how much we enjoyed our stay - the accommodation was wonderful and I can't think of a single negative.
The owner has welcome us warmly. Her open plan house is very nice. The pool is very large and we can really swim. For families the house is handy and there are pool toys and balloons. We have spent an enjoyable week at the property.
Thanks for a truly wonderful week. The house, garden and pool are really fabulous. We had a wonderfully relaxing time and didn't do as much exploring as we should have done as we couldn't tear ourselves away from the garden / pool. Don't miss Friday evening in Pézenas with the high street market, food, wine and music.
