Thoroughly enjoyable stay at your villa. Very convenient position and excellent information pack was very useful.
We enjoyed every aspect of our stay here. The villa is light, airy and spacious. It was immaculately clean, comfortable, everything worked and there are beautiful views from the upstairs terrace. The garden is very attractive. We loved having four bathrooms. The booking process was easy and efficient. We were confident that if there had been a problem, Ian, the very pleasant property manager who lives nearby, would have quickly sorted it out. The newly installed Wi-Fi was very dependable. With the restaurants in the village and the beach not too far away we didn't need to travel very far from the house - besides, the garden and pool were too good to leave for long! There are also some lovely walks in the hills behind the villa. The heated pool was the icing on the cake as we could swim on the couple of cooler days too. Even my 85 year old mum went in. We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa and we would love to return.
We returned after 3 years and so glad we did. Another fabulous time - weather not aways in our favour but didn't stop a great holiday again. Two restaurants we would recommend Le Masion Tourbes - great food, lunchtime was very busy, so get there early - very popular with the French. Saint Germain Hotel - excellent food and value. Best value kids menu we have found and adults set menu was great value and for an extra euro you can get 1/4 litre wine! Hope to return again - Love to all.
We had a lovely stay at Pinaux. The house conversion is beautiful and comfortable for days we didn’t go out. Everything went smoothly with the keys and check in. Henk and Renee were friendly and welcoming. Thank you for providing some basics, including coffee, milk and sugar.
We have spent two delightful weeks ago Maison Labarde belonging to Jean and Martin. Over 30 years we have stayed in more than a dozen properties in France and if we rated them all this would be at the top. It is in a part of France that we are familiar with and we enjoyed the local markets and the history of the bastide towns. A visit to a recently renovated château was well worth it. It was set in beautiful grounds with impressive pool and gazebo. As well as dining terrace and outdoor kitchen. The gite itself was roomy and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing. And it was certainly value for money. Jean and Martin were perfect hosts - just the right balance between being available when we needed them and leaving us to our privacy. I cannot end without mentioning Tanner the superb, well behaved, friendly, German Shepherd. We lost our hearts to him as well as this beautiful holiday home. We would happily return another year.

Beautiful setting, fantastic space. Well kept both inside and out. Facilities were fantastic. Great pool - child friendly and garden toys were a perfect addition too. Lovely family holiday enjoyed by all ages.

We have had a wonderful stay at La Remise. Esther and Lee have been helpful hosts and gave some great tips on places to eat and visit for our stay. The villa and especially the pool have been fantastic.
We spent a fantastic week at Villa Bellara in September, as a family group of three couples. I agree with all the favourable comments about this property: the villa has an amazing amount of space; the location is quiet, but an easy walk to a good supermarket; the train station is conveniently close and made trips to Nice and Monaco really easy without a car. The walk up to Haut de Cagnes was steep but very worthwhile! The kitchen is extremely well equipped for enjoyable cooking followed by eating out on the terrace. The villa is immaculately maintained and we loved the heated pool. Jean Luc is a great host – very welcoming and happy to assist with any queries.

I'm going to preface this review by saying our extended family have hired a number of châteaux over the years, so we have something to make comparisons with! Without doubt this château offered the best value for money we have ever enjoyed. Our party of 18 used all the 10 bedrooms on offer, without anyone having to compromise on bedroom space. The kitchen was large enough to cater for the entire party with plenty of worktop space and a large island unit. Refreshingly there are plenty of cooking utensils and professional sized pans etc. There are three fridges, we used the large stand alone fridge for food,= and the two under counter fridges for 'adults' and kids drinks. The lounge diner is huge and comfortable, with good quality games available, including chess and backgammon. The pool is among the largest we've ever enjoyed with a deep end you can actually dive into. At points we had a dozen people in the pool and still had room to swim around. There are two main terraces, both easily able to accommodate at least 20 people. Smaller seating areas are dotted around the grounds so if inclined you can take yourself off for a bit of peace and quiet. There is a new and very good quality BBQ on the rear terrace with a moving charcoal tray which means you can raise the heat source as charcoal burns away. We were able to BBQ for 18 on half a bag of lump wood. Our party had 5 cars, the driveway was large enough for them to be parked so that everyone could drive out of the château without the need to move another vehicle. Saving the best to last, the sports hall/games room is magnificent. With a full sized badminton court, a basket ball hoop, 2 table tennis tables, table football, a darts board,= and a full sized pool table our whole party had plenty of activities to choose from. This facility was constantly used for weeklong knockout completions including our own decathlon type event. Modesty prevents me revealing who the best pool player was. From our perspective, this vast array of facilities and activities provided the perfect ingredients for our first ever holiday where children needed no entertaining at all. Finally a place they can truly entertain themselves.
We have just returned from the most wonderful holiday in an equally wonderful house La Barde. The owner greeted us warmly and had also baked us a cake which was unexpected but so appreciated. The house is absolutely beautiful and large, spacious, tastefully furnished rooms allowed everyone to gather or find a quiet area. The house is exceptionally well equipped and mirrors and sockets perfectly placed for hairdrying, a very important feature! Fabulous good sized pool with enough loungers for all. We were 8 strong, 2 sets of parents with our 4 grown up children (18-25). We all agreed that this was the best house that we have rented ( and we have been renting lovely houses for many years). The owner was simply delightful and we would see her from time to time cleaning the pool early morning. Ideally situated for nearby towns of Aubeterre and Bourdeilles and some lovely walks directly from the property too. We would not hesitate from returning to La Barde in the future and think it would be ideal for all age groups.

It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. What an incredible home base! We felt so fortunate to return here every day after days spent exploring the beautiful towns of Lot and the Dordogne. We wondered whether we might find Castelnau-Montratier to be a little too quiet, but were always grateful for the respite. The house and its quiet luxury hiding behind the unassuming little gate was a constant surprise to us and we loved every minute. Many thanks to Barbara for quickly responding to our every query. We are already wondering when we'll return! P.S. Viking chess is our new favourite game!

Thank you for a wonderful two weeks at your beautiful home, we fell in love with Les Marquises as soon as we stepped out of the car the gorgeous gardens, plants, flowers and the views! Then the house where to start, the clever beautiful sense of style and decoration in every room is enchanting, warm and welcoming and although we enjoyed visiting Nyons, Vaison la Romaine and Orange, the best part of our holiday was just relaxing around the swimming pool and enjoying this outstandingly beautiful place. Thank you so much for this most memorable holiday.
There were 6 of us, (3 couples) from USA who stayed a week in October at Château des Dragons. Laurence and Marian were absolutely wonderful hosts. They are warm and welcoming and made sure that everything in the château was comfortable. They arranged a wonderful wine tour and were so helpful in answering any questions that we had about the surrounding area. One can easily walk to the nearby village or take a hike in the surrounding farm country and woods. We would definitely return to the lovely Château des Dragons.

We had a lovely time thank you - we've stayed in many properties in France over the years and I can safely say that Mas Orbiel was the best equipped and most comfortable. It was great being so close to Carcassonne as well. If you will have us again, we would love to return some day!
The villa is located alone in the middle of the vineyards. Here you can enjoy the tranquillity. Nothing is missing here. For us it was a super wonderful stay.
Le Petit Pigeonnier is a delightful location for a holiday, particularly for a family. Debbie and Rupert are very welcoming and while being entirely unobstrusive, are only too willing to give practical help and suggestions if required. The accommodation is spacious with interesting architecture, comfortable good quality furnishing and a well equipped kitchen. The grounds are attractive and varied, with a pretty courtyard and different areas for relaxing or eating out. The pool is beautifully kept and a good size. Everything about the property is well maintained and cared for - it is a lovely place to stay.
Thank you for a lovely week at the very beautiful Le Chambarru. We have all been able to relax and enjoy the peace, the wonderful views and even the spectacular thunderstorms in the evenings! A week is not long enough sadly.

We have had a fabulous peaceful time here. Such a lovely home and place. Our 4 year old keeps telling us he really likes this home and wants to stay for ever and ever. Both boys have really enjoyed themselves and loved the pool. The neighbours over the road were very kind and gave us some of their home grown vegetables. Our sone loved the carrots and woke up asking for them for breakfast. We were not able to tell this as our French is very poor! Sad to leave but hope to return again soon. merci beaucoup.
