My extended family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. The house itself is a magnificent old stone building, which has been decorated in a very elegant manner. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and we very much appreciated the coffee machine. Younger family members enjoyed the pool and ping pong table. Being an old house, it does have some quirks, but these are very much outweighed by the charm and grandeur of the rooms and outdoor areas. The location is scenic and peaceful - but within reasonable driving distance of area attractions such as Lascaux and villages along the Dordogne. The local village is lovely, with a handy small supermarket, great boulangerie and several restaurants. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Thanks Kate and Franz for creating such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. Enjoying tea and coffee on our last morning we were joined by 2 deer - a lovely last moment. We are going to miss the house, the swimming pool and the beautiful meadow. Our highlights are Montcuq market, spending time in Lauzerte and Montpazier, two very pretty places. We have had some great food, especially at Le Caillau. It has been a special summer for our children, who have both had to endure exams and so it is fantastic that we as a family have been able to spend time together in this wonderful place. So pleased to have met you both and of course the little Lotte. Love from us all.
Thank you - it was another fabulous two weeks at Les Granels for us - and we loved the new additions of the hot tub and beach volley ball court.

This is our last night staying at Les Jumelles and we are all sad to be leaving your wonderful house and garden. We only have good memories of our stay and you have made us feel extremely relaxed during the last two weeks. The weather has been perfect for lots of fun spent in the swimming pool and whilst also enjoying your fantastic garden.
We’ve had a wonderful 2 weeks, the girls have loved the swimming pool and all the facilities. We spent many relaxing days reading in front of the beautiful views. The house is very comfortable. Nyons, Orange, Avignon, Vaison la romaine were all very picturesque and worth a visit, especially the amazing Roman theatre in Orange. All in all a fabulous trip. We will be back.
Magnificent house in the middle of the fields, tastefully decorated. Fully equipped outdoor kitchen. Nothing is missing. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the deckchairs as well as the surroundings (medieval city of Chauvigny, Futuroscope).
Thank you for giving us two amazing weeks at your villa. The pool is one of the best we have seen and garden is just stunning. The villa is beautifully decorated and we have all found it vey comfortable. We've have two lovely weeks exploring the surrounding area, without a single minute of television! We had the most amazing stay with some friends in Château Entre-Deux-Mers. I was delighted by the charm of this château. The exterior is traditional. There is a lovely garden with swimming pool. We have some good memories taking an appetizer in the evenings outside! The rooms were spacious and decorated with a superb taste. But most of all : it's situated in the middle of vineyards; so great to do some cycling (bikes are available). So we can certainly recommend this place!
We have enjoyed a fanstastic week at Maison Charvin and Montlaur. Spoilt with such a wonderful, character-filled home with so much space and a kitchen stocked with everything one could imagine. Travelling with our three young children, the house and location provided a great base for a memory-filled holiday. Thank you Sharon for sharing your lovely home and for providing great suggestions for sight-seeing in the area. Highlights of our stay have been freshly-baked croissants and baguettes minutes from our doorsep, lunch in Lagrasse and discovering the river and swimming there with the kids, Montlaur weekly market where we purchased local produce, cheeses and freshly-made pizza for our kids; The Dinosaur Park en Meze followed by lunch in the seaside village of Marseillan – highly recommend lunch at La Parcheline. Thank you for a very quiet and relaxing stay.
We had a fabulous week in the Loire and Château Monjardin was a stunning base from which to explore.
A fantastic home on the border of the Dordogne and Bordeaux. The house and garden were amazing. It's a "home" rather than a rental and we loved this. It has everything you need and it has a lovely warm feeling to it. We had a lovely 4-week stay here. The house managers were fantastic and we were very sad to say goodbye and gave us loads of great tips on places to go. Lac Jemaye, the food festival in Le Pizou, local markets, canoeing near Montpon, local farm shop that sold milk straight from the dairy etc. The standout for us was wine tasting around Pomerol and Saint-Émilion - we ended up doing three wine tasting days! St Emillion really is one of the most beautiful villages you could ever hope to visit. It's ground zero for wine and it's steeped in history. We miss the château terribly. Hopefully one day we will return.

Thank you so much for the very warm welcome, all the ‘goodies’ you provided and of course the use of your very well equipped Loft. It felt like we had always known you (perhaps because we’re all Northerners!). The Italian restaurant in the village is great to be able to walk to. A few degrees below 38 would have been preferable, but out of your control! Good luck with the house.

We had a wonderful week’s stay at this amazing chateau. We were a family of four (two adults, two teenagers) and couldn’t have wished for a better week. The pool was very popular, and the garden was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Michelle has renovated and finished the whole building with attention to detail and the pictures, as impressive as they are, don’t really do it justice. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Such bliss, stunning retreat with luxury home comforts We have stayed 2 years in a row and have loved every minute. Relaxing, peaceful, comfortable luxury accommodation with everything a family or group could wish for. Manoir de Saux is very well appointed, with luxurious beds and lovely en suites. The heated pool is generous, as are the grounds and reception areas. Set in tranquil countryside yet within a short drive of picturesque historic towns.

Had a great 2 weeks. The house and gardens / pool are amazing - fresh air, beautiful scenery and sitting out every evening was so relaxing! The house is so well equipped and the kids really enjoyed all the facilities. Would absolutely recommend Orchard Farmhoue to anyone coming to the region. We are now back at home and I wanted to send you my most sincere thanks for your welcome at Maison de Saint-Jean. Your house is magnificent. It combines the charm of an old farmhouse with the comfort of modern and stylish equipment. There were 6 of us but the house can accommodate 8 people. It is especially the exteriors that we adored. Even though the weather was not very comfortable this summer, we enjoyed the very large garden, the endless view and the heated swimming pool. We will definitely come back because the region is still worth a few detours and your house is the perfect base for visiting it. See you soon.

Everything is fantastic, the chalet is even better than in the photos and we notice the affection we gave it in the smallest details. It has everything you could need and the devices are big brands. We stayed with many children and they had a good time. A big thank you to the hosts and we hope to return soon.
An absolute treasure of a place to stay with attentive hosts making sure our trip was comfortable and stress free. How appropriate to stay in this house and emerge ourselves in the Medieval village of Sarlat! Relaxing by the pool with a cool glass of wine was perfect after a long day of wandering through the town or the beautiful pays de la Dordogne!
Warm welcome - Stunning view - Absolute calm - Location from which to enjoy the region.
We have just returned from the most wonderful holiday in an equally wonderful house La Barde. The owner greeted us warmly and had also baked us a cake which was unexpected but so appreciated. The house is absolutely beautiful and large, spacious, tastefully furnished rooms allowed everyone to gather or find a quiet area. The house is exceptionally well equipped and mirrors and sockets perfectly placed for hairdrying, a very important feature! Fabulous good sized pool with enough loungers for all. We were 8 strong, 2 sets of parents with our 4 grown up children (18-25). We all agreed that this was the best house that we have rented ( and we have been renting lovely houses for many years). The owner was simply delightful and we would see her from time to time cleaning the pool early morning. Ideally situated for nearby towns of Aubeterre and Bourdeilles and some lovely walks directly from the property too. We would not hesitate from returning to La Barde in the future and think it would be ideal for all age groups.
