A beautiful house in a beautiful location, everything for an extended family of all ages.
This place is truly magical. It’s clean and spacious with scenic surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn’t recommend it enough!

One of the loveliest and peaceful lodgings of my two week 1000+km driving tour of South Western France. La Petite Maison Générille is nestled in verdant hills overlooking the most beautiful natural and historical settings in all of France. Though it is located in a hamlet enclave that feels worlds away, it is so conveniently located to access many châteaux, stunning river drives with views of the "falaises" - the ancient cliffs, and numerous restaurants found in charming villages that won't disappoint! Alll within a 10 to 20 minute drive. This is a place that you will want to return to again and again!

Merci pour une quinzaine fantastique ! It was a wonderful place to spend a special birthday celebration with friends and family. The house was beautiful and we enjoyed the luxurious feel and the tasteful decor. The extra touches were much appreciated - from the breakfast deliveries and amazing meal and setting at Le Pourquoi Pas. We also enjoyed the visit to the cave at Saint-Chinian. We enjoyed the meal at the family run restaurant La Tournelle, a friendly service and very reasonable prices. For another gourmet lunch with an impressive view we enjoyed the Tour at Monterey. Good value set lunch. Thank you for everything.

We have had a wonderful and memorable two weeks here. You both have been very helpful and thoughtful. Highlights for us were relaxing by the pool, the great markets at Cahors and Prayssac, the daily petit déjeuner at Chez Lajo and C. using Frans' smoker and BBQ! We are looking forward to returning!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Orchard Farmhouse and would have no problem recommending this beautiful house to friends and family. We liked eating on the terrace admiring the spectacular view of the Dordogne landscape. Great facilities for the children, especially in the games room. If you’re looking for a beautiful respite from the everyday grind, look no further than Nerige. What a tranquil, pristine and magical place. The Pyrenees mountains rise across the valleys of vineyards and the air is clear and crisp. The property itself is massive, yet so comfortable and cozy. The rooms are decorated with the highest quality linens and furniture. Sandie is a true old-school host. She greeted us in person, showed us all the highlights of the property, prepared an amazing meal for our arrival and stocked the pantry so we had breakfast in the morning. Traveling with 2 small children and 2 older parents... we were exhausted from our trip... and this was exactly what we needed! She also arranged for a wonderful massage therapist to come to Nérige the next morning to kick off our relaxation! This is how to travel and travel well. This is how to see the world. Don’t second guess this place. Book now before the whole world finds out about this magical gem!
Wow, wow, wow – when I first saw the pictures it looked gorgeous, but when we arrived the villa was even more stunning. We have had the most amazing week. Debbie and Brent are absolutely lovely and make you feel so welcome. The grounds were so picturesque. This was our first holiday with our 1 year old baby and we couldn't have wished for a better holiday. Thank you La Bastide!

Thank you for your hospitality. We really appreciated the breakfast items and the wine and cheese. The meal at Le Pourquoi Pas was amazing although we had a bit of an adventure finding it! Lovely weather in the first half of the week but a shame we had wind and rain in the last few days. Good meal at Pizzeria La Cremade in Béziers Villeneuvre - next to a lock on the Canal du Midi. Worth visiting the Nine Locks as well. Enjoyed the beach at Serignan. Merci Beaucoup. Thank you for petit velo.

The property was fantastic and it was one of the best family holidays we've had - not easy with teenagers.

Les Chapoux is truly a terrific holiday destination, the property is located in a lovely area and it is easy to access local towns and villages with supermarkets in easy reach. As to the property it is charming, there is plenty of room with comfortable beds and all the amenities you could need. The pool is great and the 3 generations of our family spent many an hour in and around it. The owners are very helpful and made us feel most welcome. Definitely one to visit.

We were absolutely overwhelmed by beauty, tranquility and views surrounding the wonderful home. Such a privilege to spend time here forming special memories with the family - especially celebrating a significant birthday! We enjoyed the gorgeous pool, BBQ'd, had a vineyard tour and wine tasting, kayaked on the Dordogne and much more. I fell under the spell of this beautiful, atypical residence. Its proximity to the Duras castle gives it a magical touch... There is all the necessary comfort for visitors and the bedding is quality. On one side of the residence, breathtaking view of the beautiful swimming pool and the valley and on the other side, magical view of the castle fortifications. I will not reveal any more and leave the pleasure to the next visitors of discovering the other little treasures that this house hides. The village of Duras is typical of small provincial towns with its beautiful and colorful local market. In the evenings, very good festive atmosphere.
