We adore this house - it is our third visit this year! The atmosphere here is so conducive to being happy and relaxed. And now to expose the biggest secret of the year - Christmas at Orchard Farmhouse has been a magical experience. The Baquiés are the most agreeable hosts in the world.
Le Petit Palais provides the perfect place for families and groups. We consist of six parents and six kids of ages 1-5 years old. The bedrooms provided the perfect split and were also very comfortable with a bunk bed which was every kids choice. Downstairs has plenty of space for all to enjoy and breakout to do their own thing or sit together for a meal. The provision of toys and games for all ages was great to keep our kids entertained plus the table football, climbing frame and trampoline all helped to keep the kids busy. The pool area is sizeable and secure with comfy loungers and shaded area with table. Around the house there’s different spots to enjoy lunch or have an evening drink. The kitchen is fully setup and provides all you’d need to prepare meals for large groups, this is so often not the case when you stay at a holiday rental. All in all our weeks stay was perfect and the house and provisions did everything we needed and wanted. The house is easy to find and well located for day trips. Isabelle and Caroline are quick communicators and offer really helpful advice at all times. Thanks again for letting us stay and hopefully we’ll be back again soon.
Well, anyway, our stay is still wonderful. Your house is so beautiful that we really enjoy it very much! Spending lazy hours by the pool, having delicious dinners in the garden... Once again thank you so much and have a great stay in Provence!
Perfect for large families Amazing property, well equipped for large groups and space for all to spend time together or escape each other! Great pool and pool area. Great having so many bedrooms and bathrooms when holidaying with extended family and lots of kids! Wonderful manager on hand to answer any questions and offer recommendations. Will definitely return!
Gorgeous. Very well maintained, yet still updated with modern amenities. All in all, an amazing stay and trip and we'd recommend Château Charente to anyone touring the area.
Beautiful maintained home and grounds. Excellent facilities for young families. All modern and child / baby amenities provided. Daily housekeeping was an added bonus compared to previous holiday rentals.
The villa has been all we hoped for and more. The accommodation is superb as are all the facilities. What a bonus to have the (choose and order) breakfast deliveries,. The lemon cake was gorgeous. Would recommend the Tuesday market at Clairac Market. Our week was VERY HOT – so we made very good use of the lovely pool. We enjoyed walking / cycling into Mauvezin. The shopkeepers were all very friendly and welcoming. The villa was perfect for our family of 8. Would absolutely recommend it. Merci beaucoup Philippe, superb host and translator!
An absolute gem of a house! We came here for a fortnight with a mixture of friends, family and even a cricket team (touring France). And we had the most delightful stay. It really feels like a luxurious home from home, with lovely comfortable furniture, beautiful spacious grounds, a first rate tennis court and pool and a beautiful 'bolet' (veranda) on which to sit and enjoy the local wine… Highly recommended!
Beautiful house, view and garden with high trees and flowers in a quiet area. Nice shaded lounge area with comfortable sofas for 8 people. We all loved this house even if it’s far away from bakery and shopping.
You beat me to it! I’d been meaning to email to say what an excellent time we’ve been having and to thank you for allowing us to use your wonderful home. It’s such a gorgeous spot, the weather has been perfect and we love the fact that the house feels like a much loved family home so thank you for sharing it with us. It is so well equipped and comfortable, with a lovely ambience - we are greatly enjoying relaxing and eating meals in all the different beautiful spots in the garden. No practical problems and everything seems in order. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Fresh pastries in the morning, you have gone above and beyond - and that, combined with the comforts and surroundings of the villa, is what has made this holiday so special. We all loved the comfort of the beds and quality of the linen, the faultless hot water supply and how clean the pool was. This villa really works, allowing us to have a stress-free holiday! The place is amazing, it's perfect for sharing special moments with friends and family.There were 9 of us meeting for the weekend in the beautiful cottage restored by Christophe's hands. Everything was perfect, from communication before the stay, Christophe's welcome and his legendary conviviality! The cottage is very well equipped, the decoration is also very beautiful and the place allows you to party well. I just wanted to say what a great time we had on our recent visit to Maison Des Communes, Philippe and Federica were wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome. The house in a tranquil location was perfect for a very relaxing get away from it all.
Thank you Corelle and Stephen for a wonderful stay in your beautiful cottage. We loved the peace and quiet, cycling around the quiet lanes and watching the kingfishers flying in and out of their nests at the lake. We found it all so relaxing and tranquil and would love to return again. Thank you also for the welcome treats and the lovely chats with you both. Colombat Cottage is a very special place.

We spent an excellent weekend in a house that corresponds in every way to the description: comfortable, spacious, magnificent view. The weather was unfortunately not favourable for a dip in the pool in February, but we imagine how pleasant it can be. Ideal house for a family reunion
Thank you for your hospitality and enabling us to stay in this beautiful house. During our stay we have very much enjoyed L'abbaye de Fontevraud - so beautiful and wondrous to explore for us and our children, Chinon - such character, even in the rain, the sweet asset wine Coteaux du Layon (c'est magnifique, merci), Azay le Rideau - such a beautiful village, many interesting shops, beautifully presented streets, Mona Pizza in Saumur, despite the name the pizzas (wood-fired oven) were incredible! the Church in Cunault - stunning 14th century, Villandry château gardens - the grounds were stunning, Montreuil ville basse - a lovely village, stunning château in the centre and a great pottery studio, the pool and garden! Enjoyed by us all every day. The gîte was a home-from-home, a real pleasure to stay in. We hope to return here one day!

We had a wonderful time at Château Grandchamp de Chablis in Burgundy and will certainly be back. All details of both the house and the care of the guests are carefully thought through and attended to and we had the perfect combination of privacy and feeling attended to while there. The property is beautiful and the owners have wonderful taste. The grounds have a myriad of eating spots and activities including swimming pool, tennis, lovely walks and a feeling of privacy. The owners are gracious and eager to be sure you have the resources to make the most of your stay with their long experience and knowledge of the area. A special holiday to experience a French home of this level and explore the extensive area of Burgundy not far from Paris. A rare find indeed!
Back again! We loved our stay here so much we decided to come back and it did not disappoint. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed both local walks (marked maps provided at the house). Impressive thunder storms and lovely blue skies. Would recommend Castres, Revel and Hautpoul for local trips (all within 30 to 40 minutes drive).
We had a fantastic stay at Villa Bellara. Jean-Luc is a great host and explained all we needed to know upon arrival. The villa is spacious and has all the facilities you’ll need. Its location is perfect - no need for a car: boulangerie, supermarket, beach and restaurants all within a short walk, as is the train station which allows quick and cheap access to other resorts along the coast. Would thoroughly recommend this villa.
Thank you Madeline and Alan for being the perfect hosts during our stay at the beautiful 'Camirout'. We had everything we needed for a fabulous stay! The house, grounds and pool are beautiful and it's just so peaceful here. Gavin had the perfect 'big birthday' here too so we will take back lots of wonderful memories of our stay with you. I just wanted to feed back what a lovely time we had in the villa a couple of weeks ago. The holiday was well worth waiting for and the villa delivered on all levels. We were certainly very grateful for the pool to cool off from the sweltering 40c heat and the lovely shaded areas surrounding the pool helped too. Most importantly, our mums had a lovely time. They were each able to have an ensuite bathroom which gave them their own space and privacy and thoroughly enjoyed the pool - even enjoying a splash about with an inflatable dolphin at one stage! (not bad for an 80 year old!) Please pass on our grateful thanks to the owners for allowing us the extra day for free and also allowing our early arrival which made things much easier on the Saturday. The Mums were already in the pool by the time we got back from the supermarket on the Saturday morning. A great success all round, excellent service from Pure France during all the covid changes and a wonderful villa too. Thank you
We take wonderful memories back to Holland. Great house and great pool, especially during the hot weather this week. We cycled to Minerve, which was a beautiful ride. Grand Café Occitan happened to be closed, but the kitchen is fully equipped for preparing your own meals. Thank you!
