Utopia. There are many things that make a perfect villa holiday. Location: Les Granels is situated in the most idyllic part of Southern France. Views: the vista is spectacular. Products: two dishwashers, good Wi-Fi, amazing sound systems, a gym, a hot tub, stacks of sports equipment, a multitude of inflatables, not to mention the best coffee machine ever. Space: this villa is vast. Plenty of places to escape and relax and plenty of places to gather and chat. Swimming pool: the pool is amazing, a constant temperature and under water lights. But,by far the most important thing about a relaxing holiday is comfortable beds. The mattresses and beds at Les Granels are the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Think 5 star hotel comfort and you’re getting close. This villa is the epitome of relaxation. A wondrous expanse of high-end chic that cannot fail in taking your worries and stresses away. From the initial booking and liaising with Pure France representatives to the thoroughly professional and entertaining manager Steve. The whole experience was a joy. The villa was immaculate when we arrived. We had a couple of minor problems that Steve sorted very quickly. We were sad to leave. Still dreaming of going back. Thoroughly recommend.
From the warm welcome that we received on arrival, to the thorough introduction into the Loft du Vigneron's facilities - which are considerable - and the wealth of advice on the local area, restaurants and places to visit, Karen and Russell did everything imaginable to ensure that we had a really memorable and relaxing holiday. Naturally, we are very sorry to be leaving this morning, but hope to have the good fortune to return again. Every good wish to you in your new venture, which we're sure will be as successful, if not more, than the Loft.
Our stay here has been most enjoyable. The villa is very comfortable and a pleasant mixture of modern and antique décor. The pool has been used every day, even though the weather has become a little cooler at the end of September. Bessan is well situated for visiting lots of interesting places. Fellow visitors, make sure to enjoy a book by the pool, cycle around, bus into Pau, and search 'Pau Canoe Kayak'.
Excellent stay! Our host Nathalie was very responsive by message and accommodating. The house was clean and perfectly matched the description. We would have stayed there longer!

We have been staying here with our grown up children who have not been to this area before, and have loved the house and the area. The weather has been so hot! So we really appreciated the wonderful pool. A great kitchen which we have used extensively and adore having every meal outside. Thank you for your help and your lovely house.
We needed a break away from it all to decompress and chill. We came across La Charmante Distillerie via a recommendation and it completely exceeded our expectations. The kids were away from their devices playing boules, garden football, badminton and even building sand castles. Then cooling off in the pool with lots of pool games to entertain them. Most memorable of all was the welcome! Mark and Gary are amazing hosts. The welcome to their gorgeous holiday home was so genuine as was their hospitality- just at the right level for us. We will certainly return and look forward to star gazing with the house telescope in the clear night skies Xxx
We stayed here with 8 friends and had a wonderful time. The villa is in a beautiful environment, with a lot of green and hills around. Communication with Sophie was perfect. The place is a bit further away so you do need a car. Would recommend to ask about chef michon. She provided 2 lovely dinners for us !
A wonderful place, where we can’t think of any way to improve. Really a big 10 The house is spacious and fully furnished ( you don’t miss anything, especially not in the kitchen!) The pool is super and the surroundings beautiful, you can relax completely there. Thanks for the wonderful stay.
We have had a wonderful week in your fantastic home. It has been so peaceful and tranquil here by the pool. Seeing the amphitheatre at Nîmes and canoeing under the Pont Du Gard were the highlights.
Truly the most magical and enchanting holiday home we’ve ever stayed in. The views are heavenly and the design and architectural features of the house are so wonderful and unique it’s like being in an Aladdin’s Cave. The house is so open, full of light and air and so many charming seating areas inside and out leaves you feeling positively joyous. Thank You!
Our visit exceeded all our expectations. We came to this beautiful villa for a family reunion and a very special 60th birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the charm, beauty and atmosphere of this property. The villa is absolutely stunning with plenty of space for everyone to relax, socialise and enjoy quality family time together. The surroundings are breathtaking and all of us made memories to last lifetime. We will treasure this for years to come. If you would have us again, then we will be back. Excellent, at all levels. We were 11 adults and 3 children and we had a wonderful stay. The location is ideal, isolated and quiet. The house is very well equipped (we particularly appreciated the presence of pool towels). The outdoor space and the equipment allowed us to fully enjoy real moments of relaxation. Sam is a very responsive host, ready to answer any questions. In summary, we highly recommend and thank Sam for his impeccable welcome!
Lovely tranquil house, everything provided, for a very relaxing week and mixed weather, but not annoying with the house like that. Frederic was very friendly and helpful. We would love to come back hopefully one day. And such beautiful roses all around the house! Thanks again.
What an amazing chateau you have, breathtaking; everything that we needed and more. We have enjoyed 1 wonderful week, wish it could have been more. Julie, Paul and Steven - you have been fantastic, always on hand for advice and support and ideas. Especially enjoyed our ‘feast’ in the Dining Room celebrating Alan’s 70th birthday with laughter and some lovely memories that will stay with us all forever. The gite is beautifully furnished and very comfortable, the hosts Kirstie and Russell have made sure you have everything you need for your break. There is a lovely private seating area outside with dining area, hot tub and patio which looks out onto the orchard and fields. Wonderful place to stay in a great location for visiting local vineyards and historical towns and villages.
Our fourth year running and just as lovely as ever. A delightful house - elegantly yet comfortably furnished - tucked away in complete privacy and quiet, yet close to the lovely hilltop village of Gordes. A blissful spot in which to do nothing or lots - just as you will. We can't wait to go back.

We have enjoyed our stay at Villa Lavinière, more a home than a rental! A trip to Grasse. A lunch in Minerve (superb crêperie). Abbey Fontfroide and lunch in the restaurant but you need to book. Carcassonne old town. Don't miss 'le petit train' and the canal du midi and the indoor market. Restaurant in Feline-Minervois. Olonzac market on Tuesday morning. A swim in the pool everyday. Looking at the night sky. Just laying on the poolside sun beds. Thank you for letting us share your home.

In 25 years of renting houses for our summer holidays, Château Mabrouke truly topped the lot! Ed and Katie have kept it as a family home which gives the house a lovely ambiance and makes it so welcoming and interesting. We loved the artworks, both in the house and the garden. The guide to the house, helpfully shared in advance, was comprehensive. It meant we weren't struggling to work anything out for ourselves and the information on the local area was really helpful. The local team gave us a lovely welcome too and looked after us flawlessly throughout our stay. The rooms all have great character and were very comfortable indeed. The hilltop setting gives outstanding vistas all round and the terraces surrounding the house and pool offered the best of the sun at all points of the day, particularly sunsets at dinner. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped and the cooker is fabulous. Martin and Philippa, who Katie recommended, cooked a wonderful meal for us and were thoroughly engaging company. There is so much to do, in and around the house and in the local area, that it was hard to do it all justice in a mere two weeks. A day's white water rafting and kayaking with Eau Vive at Foix was a big highlight.
Perfect. Our second visit and we hope it won’t be the last. Would give it six stars if we could. A beau cottage, tastefully decorated and well equipped. A beautiful pool and a peaceful setting near a village where you can eat well if you’re tired of cooking. Plenty to explore in the area. Best of all, a warm welcome from the owners.

A fantastic stay in a beautiful villa! Whilst parts of France may lay dormant, this region has tons of activities to offer Canoeing, walking tours of picturesque Pezanas, renting bikes at Lac du Saligou and if you're slightly odd a cracking gym 'area gym' just down the road.
Excellent stay at your home, everything is admirably organized to quickly experience the house and the region. The swimming pool is a marvel. The garden and the house are well thought out with the superb view, not overlooked. The house is at the same time very close to the village, 10 minutes on foot, so the best of both worlds. Bravo for the notes, information, games etc. Everything is very practical and easy to use.
We very much enjoyed our stay in La Forge. Quiet and charming gite with swimming pool in a small, rural village surrounded by beautiful countryside and interesting places to visit. A very helpful yet discreet proprietor, living close by, who was only too happy to help with any questions we had. Highly recommended.
