We really enjoyed our stay in Leyssartarde. Enjoyed the environment and the sunsets, and especially the ambient tranquillity
We had high expectation of this holiday and were not disappointed. The property is a piece of history in an area steeped in the past. From the moment we arrived, greeted by a couple you seemed to have been friends with all your life, the stresses of every day life evaporated. We immediately felt at home and were very quickly making plans for our next visit. The cottage looks picture postcard from the outside and there really is no detail left undone. The inside has its historic charm in place but with all the amenities necessary so that you are not required to live the Médiéval lifestyle of many some other rural accommodation in France. The rooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated and there are large bathroom and shower facilities (upstairs and down). The private swimming pool is superb and was for our sole use. Its clear waters under pine trees and a blue sky were idyllic. It was difficult to tear my wife from the pool side. The cottage fits perfectly into an area of outstanding beauty where many of the sites we wished to visit were only minutes away. The owners were very welcoming and provided good advice on the places to visit but were not overwhelming so that you could always enjoy complete privacy. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and cannot recommend it more highly. If you want to tour the area to see the 1,000 châteaux and the countless prehistoric sites in the area or just chill by the pool, this is the place for you. Thank you for a lovely week.

Everything is fantastic, the chalet is even better than in the photos and we notice the affection we gave it in the smallest details. It has everything you could need and the devices are big brands. We stayed with many children and they had a good time. A big thank you to the hosts and we hope to return soon.
Thank you for a lovely holiday in your beautiful house. The pool was perfect as was the weather, so we made full use of it. The BBQ area was great as well and the new fridge freezer with the ice maker was superb. The area surrounding Besson was perfect for exploring on our bikes. There is still so much more to see so I am sure we will be back.
Your house is beautiful. So peaceful and delightfully decorated. We had a fab holiday exploring the area. The pool was glorious and the gardens, too. The morning view and sounds from the open window will never be forgotten.
Spacious and very pleasant house, in a quiet area, close to shops and restaurants . Welcoming and responsive host. Pool clean and so refreshing in hot weather. The village is very pretty and lively in the summer. We'll be back.

We stayed here during early August. The property is out in the countryside and provided a very welcome quite location for a relaxing vacation. The property has character, built in traditional stone and has extensive grounds to explore. There is a wonderful view of the Château de Biron from the front of the property. The château is well worth a visit and if you climb to the top you can pick out the property in the distance. The pool is fantastic and we spent many hours by and in the pool. We had great fun playing water volleyball. The house has all amenities that you want, although the Wi-Fi can be slow, but this has to be expected out in the country as I explained to my children! If staying here in the summer, take a walk just before sunset, out the drive and turn left. Just down the road you will catch some great sunsets and you are likely to see lots of deer at the same time. Visit Monpazier a few miles away. It's a great place to find a restaurant and wonder around this beautiful bastide town.
The house is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The rooms are large and the beds are nice. The pool is perfect and well maintained and the beautiful large garden with multiple seating areas offers enough relaxation space for a group of 7 or more. What we were most impressed with is the beautiful kitchen with a large range of pans and other kitchen utensils. We love to cook so we were very satisfied with this. All in all, a fantastic house with an attentive host who responds quickly to questions.
The house is beyond what we had imagined with the photos. It is spacious, very spacious, more than ideal for the group of 7 with 2 children that we were. The renovation is perfect, of exemplary cleanliness and with a very good taste decoration. The pool and its terrace are just beautiful and offered us very pleasant afternoons and evenings. The little plus, is that you can easily close the doors going to the pool for the safety of the little ones and the tranquility of parents. A dining area on another terrace with barbecue and large table also seduced us. The location of the house is also perfect, along the canal with the small typical village with many very nice restaurants. We really enjoyed the Escale and the glacier adjoining the restaurant... In short, a great place that we recommend 200%, not to mention the kind and availability of the owners.
Thank you for a wonderful stay in oyur villa, Philippe. The perfect place for 70th birthday celebrations/family reunion. The pool is so well set up for relaxing, socialising and being able to keep an eye on the kids. After a week in the pool, our daughter was able to swim independently by the end! Thank you for your warm and friendly hosting: the welcome cheese, breakfast pastries, brilliant meal at La Tour de Montady, fabulous wine tasting at Saint-Chinian - it has all beenso memorable and made the trip that much better. Other highlights have been many bike rides through the vines, a trip to Chichoulet Beach, discovering the butcher and pâtissière in Cazouls-les-Béziers and enjoying the local produce by the pool every evening.

What a lovely week we have spent here exploring the Loire. We have throughly enjoyed returning each evening to the quiet sanctuary of this beautiful home - a true taste of France! The grounds and garden are so peaceful and relaxing and we would have wished to spend more time doing so but alas it is time to go. Merci beaucoup!
Really enjoyed our week staying in your lovely home. Setting beautiful. Countryside we managed to see some lovely deer and especially enjoyed the humming birds -so tiny. We managed to explore the local markets and some towns. The children loved the pool. Many thanks for everything.

La Jolie Vue does not only offer a magnificent view on the rolling hills, it was restored with much care and love !we thank you for your outstanding hospitality dare we say friendship. A week stay with all the family. Villa Colline is a superb ultra modern luxury villa, fitted with stunning furniture and accessories. The modern kitchen is very well equipped and the bedrooms are all very luxurious, especially the master room with its hot tub. For me, it was the pool and the numerous sun terraces which pleased me, especially the private areas with each room - little havens of peace! We had a fantastic week and we give the villa 10/10 ! Cottage du Jardin is beautifully kept and has a gorgeous interior, but what really impressed us was it's tranquil location within the owners grounds and the peaceful location of the swimming pool where one can laze of a sunny afternoon or two. The cottage is approximately a 5-10 minute walk into the local village where there is a little shop selling everything to cater for your needs and a hotel restaurant that serve lovely meals at a very reasonable price. This must be tried at least once during your visit. If you fancy a larger shop there are two large supermarkets within a 10 minute drive on the road to Montignac. Montignac is a beautiful town with lovely riverside restaurants. The cottage is ideally located to visit the local sights, whether it be a château such as the local Château de Losse or Château Les Milandes with its beautiful gardens, or pretty towns and villages, our particular favourites being Saint Leon, La Roque Gageac and Domme. Beautiful blue skies every day with temperatures hitting 36 degrees one day. This gave us a perfect excuse to spend some days lounging around by the pool and recharging in the stunning surroundings. So to sum up, with a combination of the cottage, the weather and the perfect hosts we had an amazing week and left feeling pretty sad. However, we know that we will be visiting again, for longer next time as there was still quite a lot we didn't get to see in this beautiful part of France. It was honestly one of the best holidays we have ever had. Thank you so much, until the next time.
