Like the previous tenants, we appreciated the calm, the swimming pool, the breakfast on the terrace with the pretty view of the vineyards and the scrubland. We were particularly touched by the many welcoming touches from the owner and are delighted to have met Marie and her family, top-notch “guardians”! Delighted with our stay.
Thank you for your customer service, you have been brilliant and I will certainly be using you again in the future. The house itself was superb and well kept. It provided everything we needed and more... Compliments to the owners. We all had a fantastic holiday and feel refreshed and ready for the autumn term and work! Back home, I simply wanted to thank you very much for the exceptional welcome you gave us during our long weekend in Maureilhan. As we told you this morning, we had a great time at Maison des Communes – and we greatly appreciated your extraordinary generosity. With cheese platter, wine and pastries, it was close to incredible. Certainly, we have never before benefited from such generosity when renting in France, in the UK or elsewhere. And as you well know, your home is just as remarkable, with a mix of styles and moods that make it as interesting as it is luxurious and welcoming. We really didn't want to leave this morning... So a big thank you once again and hopefully see you soon.
What a wonderful stay, lovely house, garden and pool so close to Sarlat town. Local shops are excellent, recommend a sneaky martini at Cafe Le Gambella just down the road on the right hand side. Butchers are excellent, cooked some delicious meals using their produce. Sarlat market is great for veg and cheese. Try the walking tour of Sarlat, pop into the tourist office to pick up a map, definitely worth while as you will venture down hidden alleyways and discover the history of Sarlat. Thank you Jackie and Geoff for the use of your beautiful home and giving us wonderful memories. We hope to return.
Had an amazing holiday. The villa could not have been better. Had everything we needed including free Wi-Fi and access to English TV. The pool was great and heated so we could go in it all the time. The area was lovely. Food was brilliant and overall we have a really lovely holiday and would definitely come back to the villa.
The combination of lovely accommodation, beautiful surroundings and the swimming pool made Piglet Barn a wonderful place to stay. In addition to being an interesting and picturesque village, Vouvant is a great location for the start of circular bike rides and walks. We especially enjoyed the riiverside walk, the Sentier des Rives. The Saturday market in Fontenay provides an enjoyable shopping experience. Many thanks for a great holiday.

A lovely place, house, garden and holiday. Nyons is a great town to have so nearby. Very relaxed and at peace on departure.
You do have a little piece of heaven carved out here - we enjoyed it all.
It worked out great for our family of 7 adults, a little girl, and 2 small dogs. The space is perfect, with plenty of nooks for relaxing, eating, or just having some peace and quiet. The air conditioning was excellent in the heat this week. The TV was huge for the Wimbledon finals, and the owners were very welcoming. Thank you so much for everything. See you next time!!!
What a truly fabulous place! To be able to share this little piece of paradise, firstly with friends and then family has been a rare treat. the tranquility and beauty of the location, the incredible comfort of the accommodation and the above and beyond care taken by Meichelle, Martin and Jackie have made our stay unforgettable. The view from the apartment is more stunning than the photos can capture as is the pool area. The outdoor area is comfortable and relaxing overlooking the sea. The apartment was very clean and fitted with all the amenities one needs for a holiday. There are many restaurants within a short walk, a fabulous fully equipped supermarket just across the road and also a short walk to there train station for day trips to Cannes, Antibes, Nice and beyond. The bus stop to the airport is also very close. There is nothing to fault about the apartment. It was perfect in every way.
It was a great pleasure to have stayed in this castle, an estate that remains simply magnificent. We had a perfect holiday. A warm, quiet place, relaxing landscape and a really amazing pool. A very good welcome from the host.

We have travelled all our lives and recently decided to change our style. Instead of hiking or always-on-the-move vacations, we thought we would try renting a home to use a base. We couldn't be happier with our decision, but much of the credit belongs to this wonderful villa and Philippe, truly a host extraordinaire. Our only fear is that the bar has been set so high now that future rentals will suffer in comparison. Maureilhan, although not much in itself, is perfectly located for trips in the area, whether to Sète, Béziers, Roquebrun, Sérignan or Montpellier. One final note: although we rented the villa for ourselves, we had three sets of friends drop by for a few days each. With its separate quarters, the villa is perfect for two or three couples. The dinners provided by Philippe at Pour Pas were highlights. So thank you, Philippe. We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more.
Superb week. Thank you warmly. Lac de Cavayère, a favorite! Carcassonne city, excellent... Bram-Motor boats, fun! Horse-ridding... Looking foreword to a relax when we get home. Lovely house, gardens beautiful, pool and vélos superb. Great memories to take back. Thank you again.
A house where you feel absolutely at home! Fully and tastefully furnished in a beautiful environment. Visited many places, recommendations are: the caves of Limousis , city of Carcassonne and the suspension bridge in Mazamet . The weekly market in Olonzac , wonderful! Then in the evening on the beautiful terrace enjoying the view of the Pyrenees with snow on the peaks and the children in the pool. Highly recommended, we will definitely go back ! We are jealous of your house!
Fantastic spacious house (in m² as well as in m3) with a well thought out design interior. The garden is an estate with the occasional deer.
We highly recommend this place! We stayed with a family of 8 people and had a wonderful stay. The swimming pool is great, there is a ping pong table and a big and beautiful garden. There are a lot of different terraces to sit/hangout/have lunch and dinner. The kitchen is well equipped, there's a large stove and a BBQ for outside cooking. It's quiet and there's a lot of privacy. Sam and her husband are very friendly, communicative and helpful. We rented the electric bikes for two days and enjoyed the beautiful and rustique surroundings. There's a tennis court nearby that is very easy to arrange access to. Actually, we can't think of anything against the place, its really great!

We had the most wonderful time in your lovely old house. Although there were only 4 of us we made the most of the available outside space, eating each meal in a different area, depending on the shade. You were the most perfect hosts and we hope to see you again one day.
Beautiful villa in a wonderful, peaceful and scenic part of the French countryside! Thank you for a lovely stay and 2 weeks rest! Great weather, lots of warm sunny memories to take home to rainy England. Frédéric was amazing, very friendly and helpful.

Fab house! What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a godsend as the weather was tres chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. What a wonderful holiday we have had! Very private and peaceful place to stay. Great facilities. The house was lovely, clean and spacious with all the necessary facilities. Following the advice re when to open and close shutters etc meant we were able to find shade and cool whenever needed. The pool was also clean and lovely to use - great relief in the hottest part of the day. The boulangeries in Saint Valentine and Bivet were great (as they were everywhere). Intermarche in Bivet proved handy but others available in other directions too. Late afternoon trips to Marseilles, Aix-en-Provence are perfect and parking very straight forward. Morning trip to Cassis to get into the sea was also a great success. Parking there good in the morning but looked a lot busier at later in the day.
