I cannot say how much I love this amazing old stone farmhouse; it has been so immaculately restored and is both stylish and supremely comfortable. The gardens are beautiful (what a fantastic collection of Salvias) and the infinity pool, with its view over the surrounding countryside, is a dream ( both for proper swimming of lengths and for sunbathing). I could spend all day here. It is lovely to have a choice of outdoor eating areas for long lunches or relaxing dinners. I love the fact the there are lots of delightful historic Bastide towns within easy driving distance, both for historical sightseeing , fabulous food markets and outstanding restaurants (Auberge Le Prieure at Moirax being my personal favourite !) I have visited the house three times now and each visit has been magic.
Remarkable location and situation. Nothing short of the 'wow' factor inside and out. We spent most of the time at the house or in the Médiéval village- too beautiful to venture far! The house and grounds are stunning, great architectural design. Extremeley well equipped. Lots of space for just the 2 of us but planning on coming back again and share with friends. Thanks, fab!
From the moment we arrived to the warm welcome until our final evening, we have loved every second of our stay. Your helpful advice and local knowledge have been invaluable. The house could not be in a better location, fabulous views and only minutes from the bakery. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

A fantastic place to be, hosts are very friendly and helpful. The gîtes are beautiful decorated and the view is stunning. We had a great time and I would not hesitate to book this beautiful domaine for a holiday again. I wrote a comment in the guestbook to encourage other people to spend their vacation at La Picholine.
What a delight! The two bedroom cottage was very spacious and comfortable - actually seemed bigger than the photos depict. Our hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and supportive and had a genuine interest in making our stay as enjoyable as possible, from recommendations and help with reservations at wonderful local restaurants, to suggestions for local sites to visit, to making sure we were comfortable when we experienced some inclement weather. We would love to return and highly recommend this unique property to anyone planning to spend time touring the gorgeous Dordogne area.
Rachel and Anthony made us feel welcome and were on hand, if needed, for any information. It was the best gite we have stayed at in twenty years of holidaying in France. Recommend taking train into Carcassonne from Bram. It is so easy and only 15 minutes or so.
Spent a wonderful and relaxing 2 weeks in this villa last year and have just booked to return again this summer. The villa is modern, spacious and very well equipped and with internet and satellite it fully met the needs of our teenagers. The outdoor area with pool is beautiful, well maintained and private. The location is within walking distance of the lovely village of Fitou and a short drive to the beaches and many other attractions. Communication with the owner Julie has been prompt, easy and helpful. We would highly recommend this villa and are looking forward to our next visit!
A little attention. The high quality fittings and furnishings say a great deal. Our compliments to the owners. Having stayed in many other rental properties over the years, it makes a real and tangible difference. Amanda is a perfect welcome host too!
Fabulous house and grounds – loved it. Very high standard, cleanliness, and equipment. Ideal for 3 generations – children loved the playroom. Two catered meals – excellent and much appreciated. Very friendly and hospitable hosts couldn't do enough for us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Périgord Castle. The castle is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The park is splendid. The countryside is very beautiful and very soothing. The pool is secured and well equipped. Perfect.
Had a great 2 weeks. The house and gardens / pool are amazing - fresh air, beautiful scenery and sitting out every evening was so relaxing! The house is so well equipped and the kids really enjoyed all the facilities. Would absolutely recommend Orchard Farmhoue to anyone coming to the region. We stayed with a group of friends for the week before our wedding and we could not have asked for a more perfect place to have some quality time and enjoy the great pool! We were also treated to a bottle of champagne for our wedding. What a great place! Would highly recommend.
We have had a a relaxing week in this lovely gite. Madeline and Alan are great hosts. Respect your space but on hand for advice, local knowledge and a chat. We enjoyed kayaking on the Lot, exploring the local area on our bikes and enjoyed using the lovely pool each day (our son's favourite part!). We loved our visit to the Latour-Marliac for a great lunch and a lovely walk around the gardens and amazing water lilies. On our last night we had a great meal in the fish restaurant 'Blue Marine', Villeneuve-sur-Lot. We also had a nice meal in the week at 'La Commonderie' at Temple-sur-Lot. A great holiday. Thank you. We returned after 3 years and so glad we did. Another fabulous time - weather not aways in our favour but didn't stop a great holiday again. Two restaurants we would recommend Le Masion Tourbes - great food, lunchtime was very busy, so get there early - very popular with the French. Saint Germain Hotel - excellent food and value. Best value kids menu we have found and adults set menu was great value and for an extra euro you can get 1/4 litre wine! Hope to return again - Love to all.

We have had an amazing time and are very sad to have to leave! We have loved our time lazing by the pool and leaving all the stresses of our normal lives far behind. The owners have been perfect hosts. and the house has had everything that we needed. We really enjoyed visiting this part of France for the first time and would recommend all the beautiful Bastide villages. Hopefully it won't be too long before we can come back!

I just wanted to say thank you – we had a wonderful time staying a le Mas de Pitou – it was by far the most perfect place we have stayed in France in over 10 years! The location and setting were ideal, we had some lovely walks straight from the door and the special touch of your fantastic welcome basket of fruit and vegetables was gorgeous! We will be back and will certainly recommend to friends. Carole also was great – friendly, informative and helpful.

Beautiful house - a real hidden gem in hills of Myan Sartu. Nice located, easy accessible, safe, comfortable and convenient especially for families with children. The owner is a very responsible and attentive host. Our slightest problems were solved instantly without ruining our plans for the day. Special mention should be made of the breathtaking view from the terrace and the great opportunities for children's leisure. The house is just overflowing with different toys and board games. Our family was so happy to spend our holidays here and will definitely come back again.
We had a wonderful time at Vero and Thierry. The house is beautiful and very well decorated. The outdoor facilities are excellent and have everything you need. Because the weather was so nice we spent most of our time by the pool and ate all our meals there. There is a supermarket and two bakeries 5 km away and Poitiers is easily accessible for sightseeing and restaurants. We're already talking about going back. I highly recommend staying here.

My family (of 4) have stayed at this house on many occasions since the children were babies and it is the perfect house to spend a holiday with another family. The house has a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere and is always welcoming and cool after a hot days sightseeing around the pretty countryside. The swimming pool and grounds are beautiful. What with badminton on the lawn, ping pong in the barn, lazy meals outside in the courtyard and relaxing by the pool, it is possible for the whole family to be well occupied all day long.
