We had a warm welcome from Caterina when we arrived. Such a lovely well appointed cottage. Comfy bed, great shower and well equipped kitchen. Weather is now quite autumnal, cool with showers. But even so, we went out somewhere different every day. Sarlat, Domme, Château de Losse. After reading other guests' comments in this book, we discovered some pretty villages we wouldn't have known about. Fanlac, Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, Saint-Amand-de-Coly and Saint-Géniès. All reached by lovely countryside views. This cottage would be a perfect place to stay in the summer months, where you would benefit from the lovely pool and outside eating areas. The week went by far too quickly, but we will have our memories and many photos to look back on. Thank you Caterina and Steve.
Just to say we really enjoyed staying here. Lovely and relaxing just like being at home, especially with the ponies down the lane and swimming every day and visiting the Dordogne valley, beautiful.
Thank you again for your welcome, we had an excellent stay in this magnificent house! Children and adults alike really appreciated the comfort and beautiful decor of the house, the garden, the swimming pool, the BBQ, everything was TOP. We recommend and we will come back!

Maison Bourg Calès is most definitely a five-star property. It is a beautiful property, both inside and outside, beautifully clean and fully equipped with everything you could possible need for a wonderful holiday. We also really appreciated the extra touches - the bottle of own label wine that awaited us, the basket full of towels for the pool and the store cupboard of kitchen essentials. We loved the saltwater pool. We would happily recommend it to anyone wishing to holiday in the Dordogne and looking for a well-located, high quality property.
Fabulous building, views, in-house facilities. I'm sure this will be one of the most sought-after holiday villas in the area. We have had a lovely holiday.

The Domaine de Nérige is magnificent. The house is very well equipped and very large. We were 14 friends and were able to enjoy this warm and party-friendly place. Sandie and available while being very discreet. Our stay was truly perfect!
This is our second family holiday in this wonderful house. The welcome from Ian and Hugh when we arrived was excellent. The house and garden are beautifully cared for and the standard of accommodation is 'five star'. It felt like home from home rather than a soleless rental property. Having the owners on site was a plus as they where able to guide us with local activities and restaurant recommendations... there is a lot to do in this area and being so close to some of the best wine regions in the world is definitely a big plus. We also has a lovely day in Bordeaux, which is an easy drive or train journey and well worth the effort. We plan to return next year for our summer break and I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful peaceful haven to anyone wishing to experience the best in hospitality! What a beautiful, spaceous and clean place. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Very nice area in the garden to relax by the pool, to have a bite on the terrace or to have drinks at your cosy private bar the area in the corner. Inside area has a very nice cool temperature, even when it's 38°C outside. Perfect. Slept like a bear! Absolutely loved my stay, which was too short! Adore the house and flowers, love the owners. Had a great time.
What can I say but awesome. We all arrived at the same time to drive up the long drive to the picturesque château. Obviously we had seen pictures but they did not do it justice. We were met with a glass of bubbly and were shown around the property. It was like being shown around a personal home rather than a holiday rental property. There was everything you could want for a relaxing holiday for our two families, including a tennis court, swimming pool, snooker / pool table, croquet set and the all important ice machine as we were in the middle of a heat wave. All the rooms were luxurious with all but one bedroom (which had it's own bathroom) having ensuite bathrooms and the two main bedrooms having dressing rooms as well. The grounds were spectacular and there was even gorgeous little chapel. The best endorsement I can give is that we were all discussing how we could come back next year. Thanks for the welcome pack of wine, water and coffee. The house is excellently located to explore the old town of Pézenas. Check out the Saturday market, it's incredible. The house and pool are great, comfortable and well laid out.
We had a very good week at Le Manoir de la Compagnie. The property is very quiet, in a beautiful site (large garden, beautiful trees...). It is very well equipped: top bedding, sheets/towels/tea towels provided as well as shower gel and shampoo, large and well equipped kitchen, everything is well calibrated for a group of 12 adults. The rooms are large and well decorated. The owners are charming, available without being intrusive and have a family history that is interesting to discover. In short, I completely recommend this rental
What a wonderful stay, lovely house, garden and pool so close to Sarlat town. Local shops are excellent, recommend a sneaky martini at Cafe Le Gambella just down the road on the right hand side. Butchers are excellent, cooked some delicious meals using their produce. Sarlat market is great for veg and cheese. Try the walking tour of Sarlat, pop into the tourist office to pick up a map, definitely worth while as you will venture down hidden alleyways and discover the history of Sarlat. Thank you Jackie and Geoff for the use of your beautiful home and giving us wonderful memories. We hope to return.
We really had an enjoyable holiday. The house was perfect for our needs and the garden was just a joy. In fact the actual is better than the pictures on the website. It was a perfect stay for us as we were looking for a quiet time with privacy. The location itself was perfect as it was close by the liveliness of the Mediterranean coast.
I just wanted to drop you a line to say how very much we enjoyed our week in your lovely home - it truly is superb! In fact, we all had such a good week, I am about to email in order to book for next year. I notice on the website that next year's dates are already there so we thought we'd better book quickly (and before you decide that it is far too beautiful to leave!)

The combination of lovely accommodation, beautiful surroundings and the swimming pool made Piglet Barn a wonderful place to stay. In addition to being an interesting and picturesque village, Vouvant is a great location for the start of circular bike rides and walks. We especially enjoyed the riiverside walk, the Sentier des Rives. The Saturday market in Fontenay provides an enjoyable shopping experience. Many thanks for a great holiday.

We had a excellent week celebrating our golden wedding anniversary with our family, a great property and facilities enjoyed by all.
We recently enjoyed a very memorable and enjoyable stay. This luxurious property was comfortable, well presented and very clean. The views from the property are exceptional and the horizon swimming pool is everybody's dream. The location provides good access to Saint Paul de Vence and to the surrounding region and thus is a great location to base yourself and to see the local features.
The pool and garden are lovely and well kept. The main living area is light and airy. The laundry room was very useful. The area is quiet and peaceful.
WOW! What a holiday! The Loft is absolutely beautiful and we’ve all had the most wonderful time. In fact, the Loft, pool and gardens are so incredible we’ve spent most days swimming, reading and lounging by the pool! Playing boules has been fun and meeting you both, and Mack and Mabel too. We’d love to come back and revisit the Loft - it’s been fantastic! A big ‘Thank You’!
We came here to celebrate a couple of family birthdays and get some time together. From the moment we walked in the door we quickly came to realise what an amazing place this is. The view from the kitchen window (bu the sink) literally brought my sister to tears. ... in a very positive way. This week has allowed us to explore the area to some degree, but with so much on offer around and in the property, there was little incentive to go anywhere. The difficulty now will be to keep this gem of a property a secret from others, as we will undoubtedly tell everyone about this fantastic place. Thank you for so generously sharing your house. An Amazing Place. This is an amazing place to stay and Michael and Denise made us feel so welcome with their warm, attentive hospitality. The villa was immaculately presented with everything one might need. The swimming pool is wonderful, warm, clean and you might want to spend lots of time in there.
