A very beautiful house and property. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful and are British so they speak both French and English which is a plus. Since the guest house is located to the side of the main house, you will also have privacy whenever you want. The guest house is wonderfully decorated in a typical French/British style. A large kitchen, a large bedroom with very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom with bath and shower. You have your own terrace where you can start the day with breakfast and a breathtaking view of the garden and the horses :) The host gave us advice and also brought us into the forest where we had a night cap. They helped us find a gig and also lent us their grill and let us use the washing machine. We highly recommend and would love to return. Thanks.
I can only agree wholeheartedly with what Sue and Mike have written. You have a lovely home and I have really enjoyed my stay here. The weather could have been better but you more than made up for it with your company. Thank you so much and good luck for the future. Hopefully I will be back to listen to more of Russell's stories!
We LOVED our stay at Mas du Château. It is in such a beautiful, peaceful spot and the gite itself is great. Christophe has renovated it perfectly, with everything you could want - a real home from home- and he has thought of every last detail to make his guests comfortable. The pool area is fantastic, with a lovely shaded area to cook/eat outside. We were travelling with a young baby and there was everything we needed in the house for her too, which was brilliant! Christophe was on hand to help during our stay and was so friendly. We would definitely love to go back again. Thank you for such a great stay!
We have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing and peaceful holiday at Maison Montjoi in south-west France. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, and they made sure everything met our needs throughout our stay. The charming cottage was tastefully furnished in a French country-chic style and had everything we, as a retired couple, needed. The spacious garden had comfortable seating and dining options as well as a luxurious, well-maintained pool to cool off in after a hot day sight-seeing. The surrounding countryside is very picturesque with gently, undulating wooded hills and arable rich valleys. Rivers, lakes and canals also criss-cross the region providing many options for cycling and walking. Dotted around are medieval bastide towns and villages which are well worth exploring: Puymirol, Lauzerte and Moissac. Our hosts tipped us off with excellent recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to dine at. Our favourite restaurant was La Cage aux Oiseaux in the beautiful small hamlet of Mountjoi, minutes from the cottage. We also enjoyed the traditional Tuesday market in Valence d’Agen and the jazz night at the friendly café in Castelsagrat.
There is everything you need in the house, including BBQ lighters! It was like staying in a hotel with plush towels and soaps ready for us. Local auberge was very relaxing and served great food. Well worth a stay.
A little corner of paradise ! Everything is perfect; the house, the exteriors, the decoration, the atmosphere.
Pool was 28°c - 30°c in October! We were very happy with everything at Les Fumerates. Beds and bedclothes were really comfortable, kitchen was well equipped. The owners were very nice and helpful. Location is good to explore French Riviera. I would recommend to have a car to make that much easier. The most important thing for us (with two kids) were the warm pool with nice view. The pool was big, clean and really warm. On our six day stay in October the temperature of the pool was 28°c - 30°c! Day and night, such a pleasure. You have a amazing place, thank you very much for sharing it with others too.
Such a great place to stay. It's so peaceful, really well laid out and perfect for groups big or small. Close enough to the main town and well located for golf or wine country. Hosts were super helpful and welcoming and the house itself is gorgeous. Great pool, facilities and entertaining areas - we'll definitely be going back.
And so ends another fabulous two weeks at the Loft du Vigneron. Everything we said in September 2017 remains absolutely appropriate. Karen and Russell, you do such a magnificent job in presenting The Loft - you really are in a league of your own. Please know how much everything you do is so appreciated - it all makes to provide such a fantastic holiday base. How we would love to stay on for another two weeks now - but this will have to wait until next year! We've loved spending time with you again - the boules tournament is firmly in the memory bank! Really sorry about the tea, Russell! Case for the defence: salt does look like sugar when you've had a drink or two! Good luck with the Chambres d'Hotes - it's looking fabulous.

What a fantastic week! The house is absolutely beautiful and very well stocked, had everything we needed, particularly the outdoor area - BBQ every night! The staff could not be more helpful and we felt instantly welcome. We are going to book for next year when we get home!
Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) had a fabulous time exploring Sarlat and the Dordogne from this terrific base. The house is perfectly located and the pool is a godsend after a full day of sightseeing. I would highly recommend this property only then it will be harder for us to book again.

Beautiful location really nice house, swimming pool is delightful. Large safe garden for children. Remote but easy to find and within easy driving distance of all the facilities you need for a great holiday.

What a beautiful place to spend a week. The villa is fabulous, spacious and homely with everything we needed. The location was perfect to explore Collioure on foot. We have never visited this part of France before, so we have loved investigating and had some fantastic meals!
What a week at Château Richelieu, where we were fortunate enough to get married in front of 90 of our closest friends and family! To say it was an amazing experience and venue would almost be doing it a dis-service! It's hard to put down in words just how perfect our big day was at Château Richelieu. It would be very difficult to beat as a venue for a wedding and we would not have had our day anywhere else in the world. Our hosts could not have done any more for us. The support before, during and after the wedding has been above and beyond. Honestly, cannot recommend Château Richelieu highly enough and we will definitely be returning with friends / family for another visit.
Thank you for sharing your fantastic home with us. Perfect location and layout of the house, with a great outside bathing area to watch the sunsets with a glass of wine. Laprade not to be missed. If you are prepared to drive a little further Issigeac (Noth East of Eymet) worth a visit with a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants. Big thanks to Olivia, always on hand to help. Villa Bellara is a lovely property and a great place to stay. We would certainly recommend it! We were greeted by the very pleasant owner, Jean Luc, who was a wonderful host and provided lots of information on the villa itself and surrounding areas. Villa Bellara is a private gated property situated in a quiet residential area. The location is uphill, from the beachfront; and there are several good supermarkets with fresh produce nearby. The local train station is a short walk away which is great for exploring the nearby sights of Nice, Antibes and Monaco. The villa is very comfortable and spacious, with plenty of different spaces inside and outside for the family to relax either together or in smaller groups. It is well maintained, clean and well furnished. It has a great modern kitchen which is well equipped. Ice on tap and air conditioning in all the bedrooms too. The Wi-Fi for the teens was perfect and the UK TV was a nice surprise.
Beautiful château and very well maintained grounds which are well equipped to prevent children from being bored. The kids absolutely loved the pool and having the shaded area was brilliant for everyone. Everything you could need for a fortnightwith the family - our party included toddlers, a newborn baby and grandparents. the daily housekeeping service was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend a catered evening (we chose Indian food). Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. We hope to be back.
An absolute treasure of a place to stay with attentive hosts making sure our trip was comfortable and stress free. It's a home from home with the added delight of the sun, relaxing pool and sitting out of an evening with friends and wine. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We have enjoyed every second. There is such a relaxed and calm atmosphere at Maison Four à Chaux! Perfect, We've been spoilt. We've enjoyed dining in all the areas around the house, especially the pool house! We would recommend a visit to Rochefort and Cognac. The park in Saint-Savinien is great for little ones. We had a wonderful time at Vero and Thierry. The house is beautiful and very well decorated. The outdoor facilities are excellent and have everything you need. Because the weather was so nice we spent most of our time by the pool and ate all our meals there. There is a supermarket and two bakeries 5 km away and Poitiers is easily accessible for sightseeing and restaurants. We're already talking about going back. I highly recommend staying here.
The house is stunning. The vintage furniture and decor mixed with more modern touches made us feel immediately at home! We enjoyed the pool area very much as well! And the location was perfect as well. Being able to see the boats on the Canal du Midi from the living room makes the house even more cozy and amazing. We will definitely come back soon! Thank you.

We spent 10 days with 8 people (children, grandchildren ) and our dog in À Côté de L'O. The summer heat was well tolerated thanks to the pool and air conditioning. The space is even more generous than it appears on the photos. A huge fenced garden right on the Canal. Narbonne, Gruissan, Bages... many beautiful experiences are easy to reach by car. The location in beautiful Le Somail. The early morning round for dog bathing at the Cesse. Shopping fresh croissants and baguettes on the Épicerie - boat. All in all : perfect!
