Thank you for a wonderfully relaxing and comfortable holiday at Mas Saint-Martial! We are a family of four with teenagers (plus a dog) and we spent 2 fabulous weeks at the house. The pool was a stand-out highlight – heated, salt water and fully gated for safety – fantastic family times and memories created playing games. The boules pitch, badminton court and BBQ were also great ways to entertain ourselves. The owners live part of the year in the house next door and are extremely responsive, supportive and welcoming whilst also giving you enough ‘space’ to enjoy the seclusion and peace. In terms of restaurants, there are plenty of very reasonably priced places within easy driving distance – there are plenty of great places to visit too – Aubeterre (with a 9 hole golf range) and Brantôme were highlights for us. We even walked to the local 5 course lunch place at Chez Moran which was amazing and cheap! Their occasional night time events with music and the fish and chip van are great fun. A real gem of a place. Thank you!
It's been an absolute cracker. The house is a joy and the pool has been the centre of our stay. We've loved exploring the local area, particularly the beach side lunch in Cannes and wild afternoon at the inflatable waterpark at the lake.
We have had a wonderful time in your very beautiful house! 2 weeks have gone by much to fast and we are sad to be leaving. Although the weather was not very sunny the last few days we swam every day. The pool is great and we will miss it. We visited Minerve, Carcassonne, Béziers, Narbonne and Lagrasse. Croissants every morning from the van at 10am, delicious! Love the decor and everything in the house, vintage design and you have great style. Hope to be back someday soon.
So much space for everyone. Personally some softer pillows would have been appreciated. Everything you need for a holiday with children, outside and in. Catering excellent. Faultless service.

This year we opted for a “green” vacation with 2 couples of friends and their children (in total 6 adults and 5 children) and were very happy with our rental. It’s never easy with the internet and what a great discovery on arrival: a huge, superbly renovated house. Great comfort in this beautiful stone building, in a very preserved natural setting. The rooms are magnificent and particularly large, the 2 mezzanine bedrooms were occupied by the children by adding an additional bed. The collective spaces are also very neat (comfort, decor) and pleasant to live in, special mention for the kitchen equipped with professional equipment, spacious and equipped with much more than is necessary. The pool is even bigger than it looks in photos. For the youngest children we closed it with the electric shutter, practical and efficient. The garden is ideal for a change of scenery and contemplation, the setting is absolutely beautiful. In the end we regretted having only rented for a week, the house is so pleasant that we wanted to stay there and relax but we will come back to continue discovering the Cévennes. In short, an excellent stay and a rental to recommend.
Just to let you know we had a terrific holiday in Provence and the weather, of course, was wonderful. Many thanks again and we would certainly recommend the villa and the region to anyone who wants a good holiday.
What an amazing place and fantastic hosts, Hugh and Ian have given our family the perfect holiday. Thank you so much. The kids said the pool is amazing and really loved the salt water which didn't make there eyes sting like normal chlorinated pools. Oscar your adorable dog was also a big plus for Lara!
Thanks for a great stay and making us feel so welcome - you were fantastic hosts. The accommodation was spotless and provided for every requirement. We really enjoyed the spaciousness of the Loft and the wonderful gardens, and of course the pool! Hopefully we will see you again in the future!
This mansion offers everything anyone could wish for. Spacious, large bedrooms, comfortable bathrooms and outdoors like a park. Lovely swimming pool with sun beds and a lunching area (at least, that’s how we used it. Every one of our group (including the kids) had a wonderful week, no exceptions. Contact with the owner was swift and pleasant and the property manager Caroline is a gem. We hope to be back some other time, but meanwhile we recommend this property to anyone who wants to have an excellent French experience. Many thanks.

Everything works very well and we have had such a gorgeous, relaxed time among friends and family. You've imbued it with such beautiful little touches – it's felt homely and luxurious all at once.
Large house with beautiful swimming pool. Well-equipped kitchen with, among other things, plancha outside, very pleasant! We also enjoyed the barbeque. All amenities are available. We were with 6 adults and 8 children, at the limit but certainly feasible. Thank you for the air conditioning in the rooms - electricity costs are always paid separately

We have visited many properties in France and this is one ofthe loveliest ! Vouvant is a delightful village with its interesting history and vibrant community.The guided walk of the village is recommended as well as a visit to the zoo - great for kids. Had a wonderful week with friends in the magnificent Château Velouse. A lovely place to relax (by the heated swimming pool, in the sumptuous rooms and the very well appointed kitchen - not to mention strolling round the extensive grounds!). Hosts Phil and Claire could not have been more welcoming and have provided copious notes about things to do and places to see. Such was the relaxed atmosphere (and the heat!) we hardly felt the need to leave the château. Our suite was so grand, that it was even hard to leave the bedroom!
We have had a fabulous week. Weather brilliant. Amazing house, pool, views, olive grove. Perfect. Thank you very much for our wonderful stay in your beautiful villa. We particularly the swimming pool to cool down. We really enjoyed the surrounding scenery in which we star gazed in every evening. We really liked the films and games upstairs in the evening. We had two gorgoeus weeks in this fabulous farmhouse. The house is large and spacious with everything you would need. The hosts were so wonderful and made us fell very welcome - nothing was too much trouble! There is plenty to do in the surrounding area - lots of wonderful towns to explore, canoeing, swimming in the lakes and lovely walks. We were two families with 5 teenagers. We all agreed that we would happily go back!

We have had a lovely spent in this beautiful villa. We all felt very relaxed. The pool was very welcoming especially as it was such a hot week. The views are spectacular. We enjoyed the night markets in Duras and Monsegur. Would recommend the Terrasse restaurant in Duras. Thank you Frédéric for being so helpful.
The host was great. She went out of her way to make us feel at home. The area is picturesque and great for exploring the wine region.
Steven and Bruce have a fantastic place and they really went the extra mile to make our stay totally enjoyable. We've been staying at places in France for 20 or so years and we always come back fairly pleased, but perhaps with one or two thoughts about how something or other could have been better, but I think this is the first time we've come back and been unable to think of anything that was less than perfect.

Sylish, well-equipped 'home from home' house in a great location. Narbonne is a delightful town with many good facilities. The pool and outside is a real bonus. We had a very good stay.
