We had a marvellous holiday at le Chambarru. It was the nicest house we have stayed in during our many visits to France over the years.
Fabulous week learning about wine in an amazing setting. Manoir Lemance is the most wonderful, tranquil and stylish place I have stayed in France and I have stayed in many. The owners have taken great care and attention in restoring the beautiful buildings, choosing the internal furnishings and creating the amazing swimming pool and grounds. We were warmly welcomed and looked after really well all week. The local area is full of amazing villages, great vineyards and beautiful countryside. If you are looking for a very French holiday with the added support of English speaking hosts, in the most beautiful setting, then this is the place for you.

We have had a wonderful time at your villa, whilst the UK shivered and got rained on, we have been exploring the locality. The villa was everything it claimed to be and much more, our best choice so far in Languedoc. A wonderful holiday!
After a cool and wet start, we have enjoyed a lovely sunny week exploring the area around this charming and well-appointed cottage. Even ventured a dip in the pristine pool! Thank you Caterina, Steve and Bennie.
We have just finished a very relaxing and enjoyable two week stay in Mas Saint-Martial. The house was very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen. The garden is large with plenty of shade to enjoy when the weather is warm. The pool is one of the nicest we have enjoyed in any of gites we have stayed at in France. Long enough to swim for exercise and comfortably warm. The owners live in the adjacent building and were very welcoming and able to advise about local shopping, restaurants, but not at all intrusive. This is a quiet corner of rural France, but there was plenty to see and visit locally, with easy access to bakery and shops and good restaurants nearby. Some of the best value was the lunch in the local restaurant in Saint Martial.
We had a wonderful time at Château du Pic de Rigaud - as our five year old said 'I'd like to stay for forever, or maybe two...
Had a great stay for the week. Villa was great, very spacious, pool was excellent. Excellent communication from start to finish, was greeted on arrival and Paul was on hand to help and support when needed for advice on tourism spots on what was going on around town. Great location to Béziers and Narbonne. Villa was spacious and felt like a home from home. Location in the village is really safe and quiet. I would highly recommend.
Fab house! What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a godsend as the weather was tres chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. What a wonderful holiday we have had! A wonderful week at Maison Baleyssagues. The house is extremely well set up and equipped. We enjoyed cooking and eating at all of the dining spots inside and outside. Some of our party even swam in the pool, though the season was over. We also enjoyed walks in the surrounding countryside and three terrific day trips. We highly recommend La Table de Catusseau- imaginative and exquisite. Thanks to Frederic for his excellent support.

Oscar has particularly enjoyed playing hide and seek in the wood, doing tricks on the trampoline and spotting fish in the pond. Impossible to overestimate how very kind and helpful are the two hosts, Caterina and Steve, Cottage Du Jardin is peaceful and very comfortable. It’s wonderful to have a comfortable sofa in the gite as we know from experience. Everything you need is there: washing machine, dishwasher, washing line, fridge, freezer, UK TV channels et cetera. The TV takes DvdS. The long pool is set among beautiful plants in the garden. You can do 20 back strokes, it’s so long, the sun loungers are comfortable. Shady table for cool lunches. Intermarche just up the road. The best thing is that the local casino little shop has daily bread and there are two restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended by two France veterans. Visit Lascaux 11- one English tour a week. You’ll remember it for life. And visit Le Bugue market on Tuesdays - Bruno’s town in the Martin Walker Books. Lots and lots of fiction in the cottage; save on your packing weight.
What a wonderful place to stay, house, pool, night skies and boulangerie 5 minutes away. The extended family had such a good time here. In temperatures of nearly 40°C the castle was still cool but so sad to see the effects of the drought / climate emergency everywhere. Birds needed water every day! Deer by the pool, slow worms and much more.
We stayed in the Maison des Artistes for 2 weeks at the end of June and had a fantastic holiday. There were 5 adults and 2 kids in our party and the house had plenty of room for everyone’s differing needs. The photos of the listing are absolutely spot on in terms of accuracy! The outside space really is big. It had plenty of chairs/loungers/covered day beds. Fantastic outside table for al fresco eating. The pool was beautiful. We had a couple of minor issues with the pool during our stay due to a couple of severe storms in the area but Colin and Mel were very prompt at dealing with these. The gas BBQ was spotlessly clean when we arrived, which you often find to not be the case. Internally there is air conditioning in each room. The whole house has electric shutters which are great for blackout blinds to get some good sleep and also keep the house cooler. Beds very comfortable, nice linen wear on all beds. Towels were all brand new. Generous and lovely welcome basket was there for us on arrival. Colin and Mel met us on arrival at the property and gave us a very quick run down and left us to it. They were a pleasure to deal with throughout our stay when we did have any queries or minor issues. Kitchen was very well equipped for large parties, loads of plates, utensils, cookware etc. Good supply of kitchen basics. Lovely toiletries in bathrooms. Very quiet peaceful location. In summary one of the best properties we have ever stayed in over many years of holidaying abroad
