A challenging end of year led to my very last minute search for somewhere special to stay for Christmas. We jumped for joy when your Loft showed as available for 8 days arriving on Christmas Eve. Throughout the five hour drive from Cannes, I stressed about finding a tree and decorations to make the holiday perfect. To my utter AMAZEMENT, the Loft had been fully decorated beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you so much for all your very thoughtful and generous touches. As a seriously experienced traveller, I can assure you that exceptionally few hosts go to the same lengths as yourselves. You made our Christmas very SPECIAL and, dare I say, UNFORGETTABLE! Thank you so much - keep on keepin’ on! Christmas 2022.
The house is great for a large group and the surroundings are really beautiful. The fig and almond trees in the gardens were in full fruit too. The pool area would benefit from shade such as the awning in the online picture. The weather was very hot while we were there and the upstairs bedrooms were uncomfortably warm. Take not that the a/c is only in the living area.
We stayed at Villa Gecko in Collioure from June 13th to 20th of this year. We were delighted with the experience and wanted to share that. The owner gave us a very warm welcome. The villa is magnificent—ideally located, very comfortable, and extremely well-equipped (pool, Jacuzzi, air conditioning, etc.). The kitchen's layout and equipment even gave us some ideas for our own home. In short, it was a wonderful experience; I would recommend it to anyone wishing to discover this beautiful region. Thanks so much for the restaurant recommendations - will look into doing that. We are having a fantastic time here. I think your house is possibly the best house we've stayed in in France over the years. Yes, it's just fabulous! We've had a really fantastic week here and I'm pretty sure we'll be wanting to come back next year. Your house has been so generous... I've read some books here, loved looking through the coffee table books too. Your welcome basket was the most generous we've ever received in any of the houses we have rented. Allowing us to use pool towels as well. And I know it sounds a bit like a hotel review but the bed linen / towels and bathrooms were just top quality! Taking a break from it now to start packing up! P.S. We went to Le Moulin for lunch and it was superb. We will be in touch to hopefully book same week again next year.
A delight from start to finish! Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. We came as a group of 17 for my parents 50th wedding anniversary ages ranging from 3 to 75 and we all had a fab time. Scott and Rose-Anne couldn’t do enough for us and if we had any query they were always so helpful. The houses and grounds were just beautiful with the pool/ hot tub and sauna brilliant additions. So glad we chose this property for the very special occasion. Thank you for such an unforgettable ( in the best sense!) stay.
Great place to stay and perfect for the three families we had on our trip. The children loved the pool and boules court and the adults loved sitting on the patio with a glass of rosé watching the sun set. Look forward to coming back.
Had a lovely relaxing 2 week stay. John and Annie are gracious hosts - lovely touches - wine and cheese and flowers. Fabulous palces to visit - La Rochelle, Fontenay, Plage des Belagus. Vouvant is a charming village. Ideal for a great holiday.

Wow - what a fantastic place to stay! Hugh and Ian are wonderful hosts and have made sure everything we need us available to make our holiday such a relaxing one. The grounds are beautiful and the pool has been glorious to cool down in the summer heat. It was great to meet Oscar your stunning dog too. Thank you for another wonderful stay at Manoir de Fouilloux. So memorable as it was our little girl Clemmies first holiday!
This is an historic house that is beautifully decorated and furnished. It is very well located for visiting the Loire valley. Our stay here exceeded our ( high ) expectations.

Fabulous elegant stay. Just returned from a fantastic stay at Manoir Capraise. We only had a week at this fantastic house but it was very memorable. The main house and gîte have been beautifully and tastefully restored. There is great quality and attention to detail throughout from the lovely terraces / landscaping / pool / vegetable garden to the quality furnishings and equipment . Many a lovely meal was enjoyed admiring the fantastic location from the multiple outdoor seating areas on the terraces. The gîte provided a great independent area for teenagers and the well equipped gym was a bonus, plans for a games room will further enhance this great property. We appreciated a lovely welcome package of local wine and produce, another quality touch. Thank you Mark and Sarah, everything was just perfect, we hope to return again.
Quick note to say thank you for letting us enjoy your wonderful villa and the extended departure. We loved every minute and hope to be back next year. Gordes is magical but there is something special about La Borie.
We've sadly come to the end of a lovely week here chez Karen et Russell. They have been perfect hosts and have made our stay so memorable. The Loft is beautiful and the wonderful weather was very popular with the girls who loved their time around the pool. We look forward to returning in a few years to see how the magnificent looking maison de maitre comes together.
Our visit exceeded all our expectations. We came to this beautiful villa for a family reunion and a very special 60th birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the charm, beauty and atmosphere of this property. The villa is absolutely stunning with plenty of space for everyone to relax, socialise and enjoy quality family time together. The surroundings are breathtaking and all of us made memories to last lifetime. We will treasure this for years to come. If you would have us again, then we will be back. Extremely comfortable and stylish accommodation in renovated old buildings. Beautiful pool area a short walk from self-catering accommodation. Very quiet, perfect for families and couples. A short walk to Montsoreau for morning baguette and a small grocery. This place has everything; comfortable beds, good Wi-Fi and kitchen facilities. Great location in the Loire Valley for sightseeing or relaxing beside the pool.
Loved the setting of the house - sunflowers are gorgeous. The pool and hammock gave us much chance to relax.
Our stay here was the highlight of our recent trip to the South of France. From the minute we drove through the gates we were impressed by the beautiful gardens, house and pool. It is truly a magnificent French retreat and estate. I couldn't recommend the house more highly and I am already planning another trip there soon.

Although I have not been asked to provide any feedback I would like to send some comments for future visitors: This house is superb, it is comfortable, clean, beautifully furnished, extremely well appointed and very spacious; Sandie has ensured that visitors want for nothing - from plates to books - and everything in between. It is also quiet, secluded and safe. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable, the bedding luxurious and beautifully laundered. The terrace has the most fantastic views of the Pyrenees and several places to sit for eating / drinking / chatting etc. There is enough space for 12 people to holiday for a week and not feel on top of one another. Whilst there is loads to do in the area it is also impossible to summon up the motivation to leave as there are plenty of activities on offer at the house and of course a great pool. I cannot find anything negative to say about Domaine de Nérige at all, we had the most fabulous relaxing week here with a group of friends and we will return.
What a fabulous hideaway in Burgundy. We really loved Chateau Bourgogne - A Castle hidden away in a medieval village in one of the designated Beautiful Villages of France. This whole area is packed with stunning villages, quiet roads, world heritage listed historical sites, vineyards, restaurants and artisans presenting their handiwork to the locals and tourists alike. We had such a wonderful time exploring this area whilst based in this beautiful castle. This castle is fantastic, with a great blend of medieval rustic charm and modern comfortable rooms with all the trimmings we expect as modern-day tourists. Clean modern ensuites and bathrooms, comfortable beds, beautiful linen, fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, TV room, library, pool, outdoor area and privacy. All the rooms are huge, clean, comfortable and cosy. The thick stone walls provide a quiet and well insulated environment. This castle has all the fun and fantasy that we imagined, afternoon tea with local cheese and biscuits on the turret with a view of the surrounding town and farming fields, a library in another turret, our ensuite in another turret. Sipping local wines and basking in the mild French sun by the pool. Fresh baguettes, cheese, fruit, and other meals prepared in the kitchen. With 10 bedrooms you can bring your friends and family and have a fantastic getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed this castle and will make it our new home when next we visit Burgundy. Thank you for making this a highlight of our 2016 Europe holiday.
Very nice accommodation with a huge living room. The proximity to the canal is the charm of the charm of the house.
