We have had a fantastic time in this amazing château. Fabulous location, fabulous house!
We've had a blissful week here. The house is beautifully and very stylishly renovated and is extremely comfortable and easy to live in. The surrounding environment is stunning. We've loved picking fresh figs straight from the tree breakfast and getting to know the local wines.
Very nice house, ideal for a family weekend because each room has its own bathroom and an ideal room for the elderly. The decoration is very tasteful, we had an excellent weekend. Thank you Christophe. See you next time.
From the moment I arrived at Les Cazettes, I was completely mesmerised by it. Every corner of the villa has the most beautiful architecture, thoughtful design and authentic charm in every detail, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Each room is a masterpiece. All that beautiful furniture and chandeliers speak of timeless elegance and gives it much more personality than any modern soulless contemporary interior designs that is more common to find among luxury villas. As someone who deeply values nature, the villa's surroundings became my nirvana place. With colourful fields that seem to stretch infinitely and forests that attract to explore it, there’s a certain magic that Les Cazettes holds. The air here is different - it’s charged with an energy so vibrant, yet very calming. It's rare to find a place that can give you the feeling of being home, especially when you're miles away from what you’ve always known. It’s an oasis where happiness isn’t just felt, it's lived. I've spent such beautiful moments here, makes me feel so warmly nostalgic as I write this review. Bring your favourite people with you and step into that bubble that feels from another world. A place where joy isn’t just a sporadic emotion but a permanent atmosphere that surrounds you. It's not just a holiday spot - it’s an experience, a journey, a lifestyle that I never wanted to end. The gîte located in a beautiful part of unspoilt France, great for exploring near by villages / towns holding day and evening markets, driving through vineyards, so peaceful and yet great roads to explore Sarlat, Domme and others alongside Dordogne river. The gîte is extremely well equipped, downstairs is like home from home. Outside is delightful, pool idyllic with a selection of seating areas in and out of shade, the outside cooking area was the 'icing on the cake'. The owners are wonderful hosts.

Amazing! is the word. The Loft itself, you as hosts and the location. Our week has been wonderful and made all the better due to the exceptional care and attention you both put into this special place. Best villa in 15 years of visiting France. Pool was wonderful and essential for cooling off when the temperatures exceeded 30 degrees. Super area for cycling and hiking. Best meal was at L'Aspargus (Valros) - well worth the drive. Best meals in Pézenas at Les Marronniers.
We had a lovely couple of weeks here. The property is beautiful and the weather was kind. Some gorgeous scenery and places to visit.
We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Maison Des Vignobles. The house was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. It is in a beautiful and quiet setting amongst the vineyards with wonderful views. We spent our days in the pool, kayaking on the river and exploring the local towns. The owner was on hand should we need anything and was very helpful with recommendations and bookings. It was a perfect choice for our family holiday.
We have spent an enjoyable fortnight here in Bessan. The house was comfortable and peaceful. The weather has been beautiful during our whole stay, unlike it is in the UK! We enjoyed the neighbouring towns, especially Agde. We will remember this holiday and do not want to come back home this afternoon. Many thanks.
We had a fantastic holiday at Manoir Coteaux. The grounds were ideal for our children and dog to play and explore and the swimming pool was well and truly made use of every day, even on cooler days thanks to the heating! The inflatables were a much appreciated welcome gift and provided no end of fun. The BBQ area gives a superb evening view. We stayed in the main manor and enjoyed the property's character and charm, which had everything we needed. Special thanks to Tracey who prepared several meals in the manor for us to enjoy without hassle of driving to a restaurant. We did venture out a few times and highly recommend Le Lac restaurant at Argenton, especially as it welcomes dogs on the terrace. Elanor, Roger and Tracey really did tend to our every need and gave us good recommendations on things to do as well as sorting any issues we had. This was our first family holiday since covid had curtailed our usual regular holidays overseas. The location and ease of access for us from Jersey now makes a holiday in a rented home in the Loire a very appealing alternative to international travel and we felt quite safe everywhere we went with the measures in place, but also due to the ability to stay away from crowds and enjoy family time in a lovely property. We will almost certainly do it again.
This lovely rural farmhouse provided plenty of space for our extended family of 6 adults and 3 children (aged 13 and 4) to spend a relaxing week in a more peaceful area of the Dordogne. The pool was a huge hit with adults and children alike whilst the many outside areas allowed space for both sun or shade throughout the day. In addition to games described there are lots of toys for younger children including a new sandpit which ‘appeared’ whilst we were there. Would recommend.
Thanks for the welcome pack of wine, water and coffee. The house is excellently located to explore the old town of Pézenas. Check out the Saturday market, it's incredible. The house and pool are great, comfortable and well laid out.
A lovely family house beautifuly equipped Immaculate property, all the bedrooms are great with the addition of air con in the master bedroom, great kitchen, bathrooms and perfect showers! British TV to keep the kids entertained. The pool area is sheltered and a real sun trap! Our favourite time was BBQ in the evening on the first floor terrace with beautiful views . Very convenient for a stroll onto the pretty village with bars restaurants and lovely markets. Superb unspoilt beaches only 20 minutes away. Highly recommend going into Narbonne only half an hour away, you must visit the indoor food market.

Wow, what a beautiful house you have, it had everything we needed for a perfect family holiday. Thank you for sharing it, we take away very happy memories of our time here. This is our first visit staying in Dordogne and we have loved the beautiful scenery, not to mention some amazing restaurants and delicious croissants and chocolatines!!! The gardnes are stunning with the smell of the lavander and roses (my favorites).
WOW! What a holiday! The Loft is absolutely beautiful and we’ve all had the most wonderful time. In fact, the Loft, pool and gardens are so incredible we’ve spent most days swimming, reading and lounging by the pool! Playing boules has been fun and meeting you both, and Mack and Mabel too. We’d love to come back and revisit the Loft - it’s been fantastic! A big ‘Thank You’!
Superb deluxe holiday rental - fabulous owner helped enhance many warm memories . Stayed in a family party of 16 over New Year. Great directions and arriving on New years Eve, the owner was waiting by the main gate to great us as the rest of our party had arrive the day previous. The quality of the roof finishes, furnishings, bedding, towels... all outstanding. We had arranged for provisions ahead of our arrival, all were present and correct, even the ham was premium quality Fabulous grounds, cosy sitting rooms and 2 friendly red setters roaming gave a homely feel in what is a stylish deluxe country residence. Fully equipped kitchen with a 1st class chef available, deluxe menus with fine wine options all available. At the owners suggestion we visited Bourges which is 15 minutes away for a cosmopolitan array shops, bars and resturants while also being steeped in history. The gardens even in winter were impressive but the jewel in the crown has to be the cathedral nestled in Napoleonic architecture. Recommended, recommended - Can't wait to go back
We enjoyed a very special week in this outstanding house in the beautiful Burgundy Region. We would, of course, highly recommend it for wine enthusiasts (a topic about which we learned a lot!) but it also worked very well for us as a venue for an extended family get together. The experience was enhanced further by taking up the option of a 5 course catered dinner in the house one night which was absolutely first class.
Had a lovely weekend at Les Oliviers du Sud. Beautiful flat with all the trimmings and a great view!
This year we opted for a “green” vacation with 2 couples of friends and their children (in total 6 adults and 5 children) and were very happy with our rental. It’s never easy with the internet and what a great discovery on arrival: a huge, superbly renovated house. Great comfort in this beautiful stone building, in a very preserved natural setting. The rooms are magnificent and particularly large, the 2 mezzanine bedrooms were occupied by the children by adding an additional bed. The collective spaces are also very neat (comfort, decor) and pleasant to live in, special mention for the kitchen equipped with professional equipment, spacious and equipped with much more than is necessary. The pool is even bigger than it looks in photos. For the youngest children we closed it with the electric shutter, practical and efficient. The garden is ideal for a change of scenery and contemplation, the setting is absolutely beautiful. In the end we regretted having only rented for a week, the house is so pleasant that we wanted to stay there and relax but we will come back to continue discovering the Cévennes. In short, an excellent stay and a rental to recommend.
Definitely coming back. Stayed here with my grandchildren, beautiful views, huge pool, morning coffee on the terrace was so peaceful.

Wow, what a huge privilege to be the first entry into what we know will become a book full of compliments, acclaim and thanks to a very special couple who are creating a very special place. The house and gardens are an amazing reflection of the style and care and attention to detail that Russell and Karen are putting into what we know will become one of Languedoc's gems. Their un-intrusive but 'nothing is too much trouble' nature brings a relaxed and caring environment. The Loft is a lovely haven to relax in and contemplate the beautiful world around you. We look forward to returning and wish you all the very best.
It's impossible not to smile in the Gers. At the heart of Gascony, this land is green and gentle, with hills, rivers, armagnac, ducks, arcaded village squares and solid people ambling a couple of hours behind mainstream France. Given the feudal feel, a château fits the frame. Few are more sumptuous than the Château Mézard, near Condom, which sleeps 13. Surrounded by 42 acres, it's the sort of place ordinary mortals pay to look round, not stay in.
