We had a simply exceptional weekend. The castle is very comfortable with one bathroom per room, the renovation is extremely well thought out and the attention to detail is very appreciable. It's modern and functional. The heating works perfectly well. There is everything you need on site (well-stocked kitchen, stereo, video projector, etc.) The packed wine tasting event on weekends and the walks in the vineyards at the foot of the castle are great. The staff on site is perfect.
Enjoyed a lovely short break but just as the weather broke down. However, the cottage is a gem that the owners have restored to a very high standard. Pool and sauna are excellent and the views are gorgeous. Close enough to some quaint villages with all amenities in easy reach. The cottage and surrounding area is very peaceful and just what we were looking for. The owner was super responsive to our few queries.
In a word - spectacular. Where does one even begin in describing what a wonderful home. In a word - spectacular! We have stayed in approximately 40 homes over the years and few have even come close to the level of excellence we experienced. The house is beautiful inside and out and no detail has been overlooked. The beds are very comfortable and the linens and towels are lovely. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare all your meals. The patio, gardens and pool are tranquil and relaxing. As far as cleanliness, the home is absolutely spotless. The pictures are very true to the location but what they lack is the warmth and kindness you will be greeted with when you meet the owners. We highly recommend.
A very belated note to say thanks very much for your help in making our stay in Les Rocans go smoothly. We had a great time and loved how relaxed it was. We were considering rebooking for next year however Mum has just announced she will be taking a larger place to celebrate her 70th in next summer, so the good news is she will pick up the bill (!) but the bad news is we can't stay with you again next year. We will however certainly bear Les Rocans in mind for the future as we had a thoroughly relaxing time.
A big thank you to our hosts. A very warm welcome, full of good advice to allow us to spend a pleasant stay. We particularly enjoyed having 3 bathrooms which gave us a lot of comfort and especially the provision of many bicycles in very good condition that allowed us to make superb walks. The garden is very pleasant and conducive to creating beautiful memories of the BBQ and pool with friends.
Cannot fault this property. Lovely house and pool - beautifully furnished. Christophe was extremely helpful and discreet (it was not really apparent that they were living next door as we hardly saw them). I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful break with lots to do within easy reach.

We have just returned from our stay and wanted to let you know what a lovely place this is. Firstly the property itself is extremely comfortable with a beautifully maintained pool in a lovely setting overlooking the vineyards. The proprietors, Debbie and Rupert, are very welcoming and helpful. They are not intrusive but they do go the extra mile to make the holiday enjoyable. Everything was included that we could possibly have needed and Debbie gave us some delicious home made yoghurt for breakfast. Secondly, this is a brilliant area to visit. It's located pretty much on a crossroads between different areas, so whichever direction you travel in the countryside is different and there are some incredible places to visit: beautiful villages, vineyards, Cahors, the river Lot and its valley, Peche Merle for prehistory and a lovely little prehistory museum in Luzech with some amazing exhibits. We've re-visited places we've been to over the years and also seen some new. It has been everything that we could have wanted - and more.
We had a fantastic week in Sarlat and around. The perfect base for a family holiday. We loved the gardens as Eyrignac and Marqueyssac in particular but there was so much to do and see here The Bistro De L’Octroi across the road is fantastic. Thanks Jackie and Geoff.
Beautiful and charming villa surrounded by greenery with pool and view. A really great villa in a nice area. The view with Cannes in the distance is very nice. The villa has five bedrooms, each with its own modern bathroom and toilet. Great is also the terrace with a large table and chairs and a gas barbecue. The accommodation is on two floors and therefore also has two living rooms, each with a fireplace. The garden and the heated pool complete the whole very nicely. The kitchen with two fridges, stove, microwave and dishwasher has nothing to miss. Everything was available on crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, cups and glasses in sufficient quantity. A carport, too. A very big plus is the hostess and her caretaker. Both are very friendly and helpful. Communication has also worked wonderfully. I would also like to thank you here for the absolute kindness to bring a delicious birthday cake to my mother. Very thoughtful.
We had the most fabulous 2 weeks - Maison de Saint-Jean is amazing and it is so well equipped that we didn't lack anything at all.
Thank you for your hospitality. We really appreciated the breakfast items and the wine and cheese. The meal at Le Pourquoi Pas was amazing although we had a bit of an adventure finding it! Lovely weather in the first half of the week but a shame we had wind and rain in the last few days. Good meal at Pizzeria La Cremade in Béziers Villeneuvre - next to a lock on the Canal du Midi. Worth visiting the Nine Locks as well. Enjoyed the beach at Serignan. Merci Beaucoup. Thank you for petit velo.
An absolute treasure of a place to stay with attentive hosts making sure our trip was comfortable and stress free. It's a home from home with the added delight of the sun, relaxing pool and sitting out of an evening with friends and wine. We spent a truly magical and wonderfully memorably week at Maison Tilleul last summer. It was everything we dreamed of. Stunning grounds, modern facilities, beautiful décor and every amenity you could need. The village is peaceful and picturesque. The countryside was quintessentially French. The historic and geographical wonders that provide endless options for afternoon drives or day trips, were all worth every minute driving through the vineyards and mountain passes that the region offers in abundance. There are wonderful restaurants and bars within walking distance and short drives. We had a spectacular evening watching the sun set with a cocktail at Côté Resto set amongst the vines of Domaine Gayda, followed by exquisite cuisine and a buoyant atmosphere. We sampled traditional Blanquette at the atmospheric Abbaye Saint-Hilaire. Explored the impressive Gorges de Saint-Georges and mountain villages. The Cathar castles and ancient city of Minerve, were stunning and like nothing I’ve seen before, both in scale and the history associated with them. I have visited the Languedoc for years, but Le Parc made it a year like no other. Thank you for the privilege – memories have been made and will be treasured.
This villa is absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the countryside and a luscious swimming pool! The location was great, with a short walk into the local town with a tasty pizza delivery and a lovely brasserie and a short drive up the steep hill to Mougins!

A fantastic place to be, hosts are very friendly and helpful. The gîtes are beautiful decorated and the view is stunning. We had a great time and I would not hesitate to book this beautiful domaine for a holiday again. I wrote a comment in the guestbook to encourage other people to spend their vacation at La Picholine.
We all thank you for a beautiful holiday spent in your fantastic house. Breakfast in the garden, peace and wonderful flowers - that is what we will always remember. And maybe... we will return someday.
Once again, we had an excellent stay at Le Borghesia. The pleasant house, the large swimming pool, the view of Domme, the tranquility make this residence a very pleasant little corner for a quiet family holiday. Efforts are made year after year to keep improving the practical side... opening of the barn for easy access to the swimming pool and tiled floor. The materials are of quality. In short, we will come back with great pleasure!
This was one of the very best holiday experiences we have ever had. Superb accommodation, spacious and elegant with a stunning pool and table tennis. The area is glorious with mediaeval towns, wineries and close to Bergerac airport should that be required. It really is a spectacular location and can recommend it without any reservation, not least as the owners are completely committed to the satisfaction of their clients. It’s outstanding.

What a beautiful, well appointed home in a wonderful location. Despite the odd bit of rain we and our guests enjoyed our two week stay immensely. Thank you to the owners who were perfect hosts – helpful, friendly and on hand when needed, without encroaching an inch on our privacy. Impossible to overestimate how very kind and helpful are the two hosts, Caterina and Steve, Cottage Du Jardin is peaceful and very comfortable. It’s wonderful to have a comfortable sofa in the gite as we know from experience. Everything you need is there: washing machine, dishwasher, washing line, fridge, freezer, UK TV channels et cetera. The TV takes DvdS. The long pool is set among beautiful plants in the garden. You can do 20 back strokes, it’s so long, the sun loungers are comfortable. Shady table for cool lunches. Intermarche just up the road. The best thing is that the local casino little shop has daily bread and there are two restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended by two France veterans. Visit Lascaux 11- one English tour a week. You’ll remember it for life. And visit Le Bugue market on Tuesdays - Bruno’s town in the Martin Walker Books. Lots and lots of fiction in the cottage; save on your packing weight.
You have created a fantastic holiday home which we have enjoyed staying in very much. We have had a fantastic time staying at Maison Brunet despite the heatwave. We have been out exploring beautiful Bastide towns and enjoying wonderful food on offer in the local markets. It has been lovely to come back after a hot day and cool down in the pool.
Fantastic gites, lots of peace, beautiful surroundings and as always a warm and cordial reunion with Esther and Leo! Literally live like God in France!
A truly magical week in the most magical Château – in a magical setting. Absolutely wonderful week. Everything was perfect – thank you very much to all the staff who looked after it all. We loved the enormous pool and being able to all thrash each other at the table football! We don’t want to leave! Thanks.

We had a fabulous time staying in this very stylish and well equipped house, enjoying both the heat wave and the incredible storm. We loved the swimming pool and the pool and table tennis tables. We visited Vaison la Romaine and Avignon and enjoyed both of them. The market in Nyons was very impressive and very busy, so it was worth going early. We loved eating at the resto des arts in Nyons particulary enjoying the ravioli. Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely house it is quite stunning.
