Maison Capitelle exceeded our expectations. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
We would like to thank you for the wonderful holiday we enjoyed again last year in Navacelles. This house is a heaven on earth. We stayed here twice over the last 3 years (not 3 times only because we were too late to book). Very quiet, wonderful views and still close enough to restaurants and shops. Everything the website promised us was there. The house is superbly decorated and has a wonderful garden and pool. The kids (and the parents) had their highlight of the year again. We won't tell anyone how nice this place is:-). We ll be back soon...

We just wanted to let you know everything is great here and we are all having a wonderful time. What a fabulous house with so much character! It is working perfectly for us; we absolutely love it. We can't get over how well set up it is. And we are having so much fun in the pool. This is the perfect place for us! Also I can't tell you how touched we were with your brilliant birthday card and the fabulous bottle of champagne! Such a thoughtful thing to do and so much appreciated. Thank you SO much!
We stayed here during early August. The property is out in the countryside and provided a very welcome quite location for a relaxing vacation. The property has character, built in traditional stone and has extensive grounds to explore. There is a wonderful view of the Château de Biron from the front of the property. The château is well worth a visit and if you climb to the top you can pick out the property in the distance. The pool is fantastic and we spent many hours by and in the pool. We had great fun playing water volleyball. The house has all amenities that you want, although the Wi-Fi can be slow, but this has to be expected out in the country as I explained to my children! If staying here in the summer, take a walk just before sunset, out the drive and turn left. Just down the road you will catch some great sunsets and you are likely to see lots of deer at the same time. Visit Monpazier a few miles away. It's a great place to find a restaurant and wonder around this beautiful bastide town.
What a fantastic spot you have created here in beautiful L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your beautiful home. Our family has had such a wonderful time in this little oasis. The only difficult part of our stay has been forcing ourselves to leave the sanctuary of the house! We are quite sure that we will return and will be creating a surge of tourism from far off Western Australia - sending them all to stay with you. (they will surely feel at home). Thank you.

We were delighted to have been the first renters in this beautiful home. It looks like something out of a travel brochure ! Lovely peaceful setting, we enjoyed just relaxing in the garden and lazing by the pool. Great kitchen and the house is lovely and characterful. Thankful for the air-con in the bedroom on a couple of nights. Puy l'Eveque is a really nice town with everything you need on holiday. A great last-minute find, we're sure all future guests will love it here as much as we did.

We have taken long country walks, visited local villages and markets. We went to Les Eyzies for tones of incredible caves including Rouffignac. Our stay at La Valentine has been an absolute pleasure. A walm welcome from pierre and Claire set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Food at the local village square pizzeria was excellent with friendly locals and staff. Trips into Cassis were great fun including trips to the beaches there and hiring a board from behind the tourist info office. Food at the yacht club was lovely and a bit more relaxed than the bustle of the town. All in all a memorable stay.
Watch out, as we are definitely starting to feel at home at beautiful Lamolene and surrounds. Thank you so, so much for our wonderful, special break.
Thank you for an unforgettable week! The house and gardens have been a dream. We have been blessed with amazing weather and the pool has made the holiday for the children. Cottage du Jardin is beautifully kept and has a gorgeous interior, but what really impressed us was it's tranquil location within the owners grounds and the peaceful location of the swimming pool where one can laze of a sunny afternoon or two. The cottage is approximately a 5-10 minute walk into the local village where there is a little shop selling everything to cater for your needs and a hotel restaurant that serve lovely meals at a very reasonable price. This must be tried at least once during your visit. If you fancy a larger shop there are two large supermarkets within a 10 minute drive on the road to Montignac. Montignac is a beautiful town with lovely riverside restaurants. The cottage is ideally located to visit the local sights, whether it be a château such as the local Château de Losse or Château Les Milandes with its beautiful gardens, or pretty towns and villages, our particular favourites being Saint Leon, La Roque Gageac and Domme. Beautiful blue skies every day with temperatures hitting 36 degrees one day. This gave us a perfect excuse to spend some days lounging around by the pool and recharging in the stunning surroundings. So to sum up, with a combination of the cottage, the weather and the perfect hosts we had an amazing week and left feeling pretty sad. However, we know that we will be visiting again, for longer next time as there was still quite a lot we didn't get to see in this beautiful part of France. It was honestly one of the best holidays we have ever had. Thank you so much, until the next time.
Sadly leaving. What a truly delightful house this is and how warm and welcoming it has been for our family of 9 travelling from Australia to celebrate two 50th birthdays. Despite the heat we have been comfortable and happy, exploring many towns and locations and enjoying the pool and the house. The kitchen was perfect, all the little extra's very much appriciated and the beds so comfortable. We played football, rode the bikes and went for local walks. Simply one of the best houses we've ever stayed in and one of the best holidays we've ever enjoyed.

We had the most wonderful stay at the property. The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool amazing. Inside everything set up for comfortable stay for all - kids loved the hammocks! Thank you for making it so welcoming. I hope that we will be back very soon.
Our stay at Maison Gagnerie could not have been better. Caretakers Ian and Jean made us feel so welcome on arrival and it was good to know that they were on hand if we had any problems. The facilities are exceptional – the kitchen was so well equipped and an absolute joy to cook in. The pool was essential given the temperature and our 7 year old grandson had a wonderful time learning to swim and dive in our week there. Pure France provide a really personal service and booking was very simple with email replies made very promptly. We are looking forward to booking with them again – we just have to decide which part of France!
The pool really is warm! Yes the pool really is that warm and the view really is that good. A short term home rather than a place to stay, just lovely. We hope to see you again and send our very best wishes.
You don't need us to tell you what a beautiful house this is and the bath with a view indeed. We didn't eat out much as the super markets were so convenient and the kitchen well equipped. We arrived in a heat wave, not complaining though! It was amazing and the wonderful pool helped us cool off. The children took their push bikes over the back of the vineyards to the cycle path and biked into Nyons, we also walked it which was most pleasant. As regards places of interest, we took ideas from the house book as it was too hot to visit the tourist information centre during opening hours and most of our exploring was done in the evenings.
This is a lovely villa. Probably one of the best appointed in which we have ever stayed. The pool and outdoor areas are just delightful. Our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter enjoyed picking up wonderful plums and playing with the games and toys in the little library. Adults enjoyed the beautiful view end is sunsets. How peaceful our surroundings where especially when we are used to the traffic noise of city! Special thanks to Frederick who helped us where we had a little medical emergency.
We have enjoyed a tremendous week. The weather was fantastic and we made the most of the outdoor living. A few highlights for us: A fantastic meal at L’Effet Maison in Monflanquin. Great service and they were superb with the boys. Château Bonaguil (never found) was a big hit with the boys. It is a large castle and they loved running around and pretending to be knights. Much (much!) further afield, but we enjoyed Angoulême on the drive down from Calais – lots of amazing murals and graffiti. We hope to return to this great house!
We have had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful villa for several weeks each summer for 8 years. We always return to this special house located within walking distance to the restaurants and boutiques of charming Valbonne. My two daughters have grown up returning each summer and every time, the owner has made appropriate updates to make our stay even better. The views and outdoor seating areas are spectacular. The bedrooms are well appointed. We always look forward to this trip and hope we can continue going.
