We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house, beside the river. Everything really comfortable and close to lots of things to do. We had a lovely day in Bordeaux visiting the fantastic cathedral and the great shops. Sadly, we are going home tomorrow but will remember our visit fondly.
A beautiful home in a private location- a perfect base. For us, the best bits- The property is all yours. No near neighbours, nobody overlooking you, a private pool (enclosed which is great for young kids). There's loads of grass areas as well, plus a barn with table tennis/ darts etc. There are a lot of fruit trees at the property and we even enjoyed some of these whilst there, though it is possible these attract some extra wasps though this was not a real issue during our stay. The house is 20/25minutes from Bergerac airport, ideal! The location is remote so don't expect to walk in to the local town, and the town itself isn't full of things to see etc. For us, our favourite trips out are Limeuil, Le Bugue, Tremolat and Cadouin for picturesque towns with quaint shops and nice cafes! Amazing prompt communication, The owners couldn't do enough to help. Thanks so much.

You have a beautiful, well-appointed villa with all mod cons and loads of fun distractions to occupy the younger members of the family - pétanque, pool, table tennis, croquet, swimming and baby foot. The weather was unremittingly hot but your beautifully air-conditioned house provided welcome respite. We would strongly recommend this to our friends.
Thank you, we have had a fun two weeks at Le Pigat. We have cycled, run and explored the rural countryside. We have spent warm nights playing cards and dominoes with our children. We have loved the pool and the quiet and eating outdoors. It is fair to say that we have had a memorable two weeks here and we are sad to leave to go back to work and school. Our stay at La Petite Maison Générille was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, this charming haven blends old-world elegance with soul-warming hospitality. The hosts are the heart of this home. Their graciousness, attention to detail, and open-hearted kindness transformed our visit into something unforgettable. One evening, as we enjoyed a glass of wine on the terrace, hot air balloons floateo across the distant sky - the kind of moment that lingers long after you've returned home. The rooms are exquisite-thoughtfully designed, impeccably clean, and filled with the kind of character that photographs simply can't capture. It's the kind of place where time slows down and you're gently reminded of what it means to truly relax. We came to La Petite Maison Générille as travelers... and left with new friends and a piece of this village etched into our hearts. We cannot wait to return!
We have had a wonderful, relaxing and very enjoyable week at the farmhouse. It is a stunning place that we have enjoyed immensely. We have found it difficult to tear ourselves away from the glorious pool and tennis court and have had a fabulous rest! We had a lovely weeks break at this beautiful house in this lovely old historic town. The food was lovely, the beach 20 minutes away was nice and quiet and our children absolutely loved it there as well as enjoying the lovely and very warm pool! The house itself caters for all your needs. A perfect week away at a beautiful house in the perfect location for you to enjoy all the area has to offer.

Lézigno affords an extraordinary slice of regal French splendor - a small palace rather than a château - beautiful gardens and pool. Peaceful and elegant. The staff, Thierry and Nadine were kind and helpful.

Château Chante L'Oiseau is the epitome of rustic French countryside living. It is an absolutely charming property with well appointed and comfortable rooms for restful sleep and mutiple reception rooms for relaxing and entertaining in. Its extensive grounds offer a plethora of activities to enterain both young and old. This is our favourite spot for a sojourn with friends and family.
We have just returned from two weeks holiday spent at the truly wonderful Domaine de Nérige. The photos on the website are fantastic, but are still not as good as the real thing! There is everything you could possibly want and the comfort is exemplary, but what makes this the very best property we have ever had (and we have had a lot over the years, all over France!) is the care and attention to our comfort and enjoyment from Sandie and David who own it. Nothing was too much trouble and their friendliness and kindness was so lovely that frankly, by the time we left, it felt like we were leaving family behind! Whatever you do, try all of the wines (and beers) handily stocked for you – they are excellent and the food Sandie prepared for us was fabulous - don't skimp on the desserts, you'll regret it if you do! It is no surprise and no mystery that Domaine de Nérige is booked up so far in advance. If you have a bucket list of holidays, put this one at the very top and you will not regret it. We had the most wonderful holiday and unreservedly recommend Domaine de Nérige, as we have to everyone we have spoken to. Thank you so much Sandie and David for letting us live in your glorious home for two weeks, it was unforgettable – just like the two of you.
What an incredible home base! We felt so fortunate to return here every day after days spent exploring the beautiful towns of Lot and the Dordogne. We wondered whether we might find Castelnau-Montratier to be a little too quiet, but were always grateful for the respite. The house and its quiet luxury hiding behind the unassuming little gate was a constant surprise to us and we loved every minute. Many thanks to Barbara for quickly responding to our every query. We are already wondering when we'll return! P.S. Viking chess is our new favourite game!
We had such a lovely week at Les Cabannes with 3 generations of our family... A fantastic, well equipped, welcoming house in a beautiful place, set in so much space for everyone to do their own thing, if they so desire. Les Cabannes really is in perfect seclusion but not isolation - plenty of wonderful things to see and do nearby, if you can persuade yourself (or anyone) to leave the pool!
Very nice house, ideal for a family weekend because each room has its own bathroom and an ideal room for the elderly. The decoration is very tasteful, we had an excellent weekend. Thank you Christophe. See you next time.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your fantastic home! After a warm welcome we managed to settle down to enjoy all the facilities and the actual location of this beautiful area. It's impossible not to smile in the Gers. At the heart of Gascony, this land is green and gentle, with hills, rivers, armagnac, ducks, arcaded village squares and solid people ambling a couple of hours behind mainstream France. Given the feudal feel, a château fits the frame. Few are more sumptuous than the Château Mézard, near Condom, which sleeps 13. Surrounded by 42 acres, it's the sort of place ordinary mortals pay to look round, not stay in.
We had a wonderful trip! The pictures cannot fully represent the beauty of the house, the pool and the hilltop setting with views over the river and the whole valley. The layout of the house worked very well for us, as each of our families had their own wing with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. We were grateful for the help with arranging chefs and babysitters (who were fantastic) and the hosts were proactive in making sure we had a great stay. The location is great too, as you are near a couple of cute towns with good bakeries and restaurants, close to Sarlat, Domme and La Roque-Gageac and centrally located for prehistoric caves, river trips, wineries, etc. We can't recommend this house enough!
Beautiful cottage. After staying in Maison Meunier last year with the whole family, my wife and I returned this year. It is well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, cooker and BBQ on the terrace. The pool is right beside the cottage and is immaculate. The owners are marvellous hosts and we are looking forward to returning again, next year, for another relaxing holiday.
Thanks Kate and Franz for creating such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. Enjoying tea and coffee on our last morning we were joined by 2 deer - a lovely last moment. We are going to miss the house, the swimming pool and the beautiful meadow. Our highlights are Montcuq market, spending time in Lauzerte and Montpazier, two very pretty places. We have had some great food, especially at Le Caillau. It has been a special summer for our children, who have both had to endure exams and so it is fantastic that we as a family have been able to spend time together in this wonderful place. So pleased to have met you both and of course the little Lotte. Love from us all.
The house and grounds are truly outstanding. Excellent facilities! The Wii provides welcome entertainment for the children (and adults) during breaks from the sun. The kitchen was very well stocked. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were very well hosted throughout. This was an exceptional holiday which I would not hesitate to recommend to others.
A lovely family week in this perfect house in an idyllic situation on the edge of the charming village of Cucugnan. The house is well-equipped and the pool is fabulous! The barbecue and table-tennis also much appreciated. The house is a short walk into the village where we visited two bars and an excellent family -run restaurant (Auberge du Vigneron). Also enjoyed ‘Burger Friday’ at the bar. The village shop has all the basics. We also did a ‘degustation’ (wine-tasting) in the village and visited two of the nearby fascinating Cathar Castles – there is plenty to do in the area but the house is also perfect for relaxing. We will be back!
