A beautiful maintained property, tastefully decorated and providing excellent facilities, both inside and out. It has commanding views of the countryside and the grounds are delightful with a large pool. It has the added bonus of a pool house which offers opportunities to relax, eat and cook outside of the main house. There is also a lovely shady BBQ area. It makes an ideal place for families to enjoy holidays together and our grandchildren loved it. The on-site guardian and his wife are always on hand to give any help needed. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and we hope to return.
We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Colombat Cottage. They took advantage of the calm, nature and beauty of the place. Carelle and Stephen are attentive hosts. We highly recommend.

We had a great stay everything was there the calm, the sun, the pool, a super well-equipped cottage with enough to take good walks. We met many animals,,deer, owls, egrets and especially donkeys for the great pleasure of the children. A pure family moment very revitalising. Thank you very much for your welcome.
We have had a very relaxing and restful week here, with perfect weather. We loved the pool, playing table tennis and darts. The house has everything you could need and we have enjoyed having so much space inside and out! The surrounding area has lots to offer – Chauvigny is beautiful (we recommend The VeloRail) and we spent a wonderful afternoon kayaking at Angles sur L’Anglin.

We have just returned from our long drive back from Communes and would like to say what a absolutely wonderful property and fantastic hosts. Would recommend to anyone. Will start looking in diary for next year + to arrange another visit
Second stay in this magnificent house, it is still such an enchanting place. The nature of course is splendid but the interior space and the layout are really of high quality. The rooms are particularly spacious, the bedding is perfect, the decoration combines old and new in a very harmonious way. The common areas are very well appointed, special mention for the table football in a cool lounge which the children enjoyed. The kitchen is large and stocked with more than the basics. The swimming pool is completely secure with a very handy sliding opening system. We will come back with pleasure.
This is certainly the most tranquil villa I have ever stayed in. The pool and garden are quite lovely. Very hard to pull ourselves away. The area is wonderful. Finally I understand why so many people relocate to the Languedoc-Roussillon.

It is beautiful spot... We loved the pool and the views and wild-life spotting. We would recommend Poltrot as a beautiful spot for food and a paddle in the river, Grottes de Villars is well worth a visit with kids to see the cave paintings. Aubeterre and Brantôme beautiful.
We really had an enjoyable holiday. The house was perfect for our needs and the garden was just a joy. In fact the actual is better than the pictures on the website. It was a perfect stay for us as we were looking for a quiet time with privacy. The location itself was perfect as it was close by the liveliness of the Mediterranean coast.

The apartment was super clean and has everything you need. The view is even better than the photos! The location is wonderful - walk to everything. Beach, pool, grocery, water sport activities, marina, tons of restaurants. The ourdoor deck is such a nice treat. The kitchen has all the things you'll need for cooking. High end appliance, everything is new. Washer/dryer was very helpful. The infinity pool view is stunning! Safe place and very private. I didn't want to leave! First time to the French Riviera and hopefully not the last. Dream vacation!
We had a lovely stay in your house, which is like a 'home from home'. The house is beautifully decorated and French styled and the 'jardin' with the vibrant roses finished it off in splendor. The region and location is also ideal, being so remote and yet convenient. Unfortunately the weather was against us, which made the house even more important! The swing in the garden was a major hit with our oldest daughter.
The house is magnificent and very well equipped, for the kitchen or for activities, everything is planned for a good stay. The welcome is warm with very friendly neighbors. I highly recommend the Château des Grillauds for a peaceful stay in the Dordogne. We had a pleasant stay and the house is very well equipped. There is everything you need to have a great vacation with family or friends. We were able to have lunch outside to enjoy the garden and the swimming pool. Jean and Martyn have created a wonderful place to come for a relaxing holiday. The house is really well equipped with everything you need. Providing 3 fridges was a brilliant idea and the house had great Wi-Fi! The pool was spotless and warm and the pool area was lovely- just across from the house, but not overlooked. The gardens are beautiful and the outside patio and kitchen were fab. We loved the short stroll to the village for bread. It’s a wonderful location. Highly recommended.
We have really enjoyed our stay in the house, it's situated in a beautiful area of France and have enjoyed the pool and appreciated the AC in the house.
We have had a wonderfully relaxing week in this beautiful house. The views are amazing and we enjoyed some wonderful drives out to various villages in the area. Nyons is a great place to have so nearby.

Highlights have included the great week in Chauvigny (as well as exploring the medieval town), canoeing along a scenic stretch of the river at Angles sur L’Anglin, and exploring the châteaux. Afterwards, a day trip to Poitiers and an excellent visit to Futuroscope. We finished each day relaxing in the pool and playing boules. All in all, a wonderful week in a beautiful area.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home and for your warm hospitality. Our week here has or provided us with much needed R and R after the turmoil of the last year. We will be sad to leave but hope to return.
