Thank you for allowing us to holiday at Château Trieux, it didn't disappoint! What a truly wonderful house and holiday experience we had. After exploring for a few hours on arrival it really felt like home. The children loved the pool, sporting facilities and quad bikes. The floodlit tennis court made for some great fun away from the day time heat. Whilst we loved the space and beautifully appointed rooms. You have a real gem in Château Trieux and the nearby town of Bergerac and many villages and markets as promised didn't disappoint either, simply stunning!! Thank you again and will definitely book for next year.

Superb house for couples of friends or families with children. Each of the rooms has its own bathroom and WC, there are board games, bikes... and it is quiet.
Extraordinary stay, the villa is perfect. The whole family enjoyed the stay, especially the swimming pool, the pétanque game and the large, well-equipped kitchen.
This is our second family holiday in this wonderful house. The welcome from Ian and Hugh when we arrived was excellent. The house and garden are beautifully cared for and the standard of accommodation is 'five star'. It felt like home from home rather than a soleless rental property. Having the owners on site was a plus as they where able to guide us with local activities and restaurant recommendations... there is a lot to do in this area and being so close to some of the best wine regions in the world is definitely a big plus. We also has a lovely day in Bordeaux, which is an easy drive or train journey and well worth the effort. We plan to return next year for our summer break and I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful peaceful haven to anyone wishing to experience the best in hospitality! We, two couples, stayed the last week of June and the first week of July in La Picholine. We found modern comfort in an authentic environment in the well-equipped holiday homes Maison Carrée and Joie de Vivre. You can rightly say that you enjoy life here. Privacy, beauty, friendliness, a lovely swimming pool, the beautifully maintained gardens... it all comes to you here. And what we also appreciated very much: we arrived in a house where the basic necessities were present (such as coffee, tea, herbs and olive oil) and a nice bottle of wine and delicious (home-made!) cake were ready for us, which made us feel really welcome. Moreover, the area is also very attractive. From the tranquility of the domaine you drive to the liveliness and versatility of Avignon and Villeneuve and for example to Orange. The markets are very charming in the smaller towns nearby and there is also no shortage of nice restaurants. We really had a wonderful time, certainly also because of the friendliness of the owners.

We were a large family group and we had a great stay in this beautiful house combining the charm of original features and modern comfort. The kitchen is beautiful and very well equipped. What a superb and huge outdoor terrace where to spend great times with family or friends. Beautiful well maintained swimming pool in a superb garden with the bonus of the pétanque court. Very nice view of the castle of Margon. Hélène is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Everything is as described. You would not need more for a holiday. We recommend the property in total confidence.

We loved every moment of our stay. The Cottage du Jardin is pretty but so well appointed; super-clean, well equipped and charming. The pool and gardens are private and delightful. Catarina and Stephen are great hosts - nothing is too much trouble and they are just so friendly. This property is a jewel and the villages and ancient sites of the Vezere Valley make this a stunning trip.

Having been to multiple self-catering houses across Southern France over the 20 or so years, we thought we had a fair idea of what to expect. This blew all the others out of the water! The pictures provided here do not do it justice. A converted barn, it has been beautifully restored and is kept in immaculate condition. Perfectly equipped for any family, come rain or shine, we felt at home on arrival. On cloudier days there was more than enough room for us all to be comfortable inside when finished sightseeing. Brand new kitchen appliances and utensils made cooking a pleasure, whether inside or on the barbecue provided. Stunning vista from the decked outside eating area, looking out across the local bastide towns provides a great backdrop - with sun at breakfast and evening shade perfect for aperitifs. The garden is beautiful, with aromatic French lavender really setting it off. But the pool was the star, with its salt water and gentle warmth giving it a luxurious, bath–like feel. Its generous proportions meant there were 5 of us comfortably bobbing about in it at times... in all honesty, that was where we spent most of our time! It's not an exaggeration to say that this house made our holiday - we would thoroughly recommend it to anyone travelling to the region, as it truly takes the stress out of self-catering.
Great house in a great location. Enjoyed by all ages 9 to 70 years. Something for everybody. Kids and adults wowed with the pool.

What a wonderful stay, lovely house, garden and pool so close to Sarlat town. Local shops are excellent, recommend a sneaky martini at Cafe Le Gambella just down the road on the right hand side. Butchers are excellent, cooked some delicious meals using their produce. Sarlat market is great for veg and cheese. Try the walking tour of Sarlat, pop into the tourist office to pick up a map, definitely worth while as you will venture down hidden alleyways and discover the history of Sarlat. Thank you Jackie and Geoff for the use of your beautiful home and giving us wonderful memories. We hope to return.
Driving down the lane to Maison Bourriette, you know you are on holiday. The farmhouse, set in lovely grounds with views over the countryside, is charming, very comfortable, clean and well equipped. There are markets, hilltop villages and beautiful country walks on the doorstep to explore and then a wonderful warm pool to really unwind! Evenings relaxing by lamplight in the stunning courtyard with wine and friends - memories are made of this!
Fantastic house to stay in – comfortable, clean and everything needed provided. Beautiful garden, pool and terrace. The views are stunning especially with a morning coffee or glass of wine (at dinner!)

A stunning property with discreet, helpful owners a short distance away. Sue and Peter, the owners, are very friendly and informative and seem to have thought of everything to make your stay as relaxing as possible and leave you get on with your own thing. The location is ideal for visiting the many Bastide towns and villages and the numerous vineyards of the region are within easy reach. The under floor cooling keeps the house at a very comfortable level even in the hottest weather and the pool an ideal size to relax and to play. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away and relax.
We loved sharing your beautiful château for our special holiday and found it very relaxing and an ideal place for us all to have our own space. The local area was stunning with easy access to Vergt for supplies and easy access for sightseeing.
A very beautiful setting for our first family trip to Europe! The villa and surrounds were so beautiful that nobody wanted to go anywhere… just sit and relax. A fantastic kitchen helped us feed our big group. Brent and Debbie were very welcoming and made our week very special. Thank you.
I just wanted to write to say how much we enjoyed our holiday at Les Granels. The Villa was everything we hoped it would be and beautifully equipped and an added bonus was the wonderfully stocked playroom, which as we had 5 children under 7 was an absolute joy. I would like to say that Karri was an absolute gem, efficient, full of good humour, endlessly patient with our Grandchildren who loved her so much that they cried when she said goodbye to us. She really made the holiday and enabled our rather exhausted children (their parents) to have a much needed few hours off. We are really grateful to her. The other great joy was the meals that Carol and Andy cooked for us, just in case future guests want cooking done whilst they are there.
Wonderful home for a family vacation, amenities all on one level with nice pool with good alarm protection. Also a great place to live outside with pizza maker, BBQ and very easy to use functional kitchen. Lots of outside shaded seating areas. Air conditioning in bedrooms was a great benefit during hot weather. Lovely furnishings and felt like the home of a happy family. Easy access to boulangerie, supermarket and local restaurant - all less than 5 minutes walk. Thank you.
Well, when Beverley told me she wanted to bring our children and grandchildren for a 'once in a lifetime' holiday, to celebrate our forthcoming 50th wedding anniversary in October, I must be honest I was negative and full of foreboding! But... Domaine de Nérige! Wow, what a place Bev found while I was moping around saying this won’t work. Not only was the location, 'in the middle of nowhere' absolutely perfect but the house was just beautiful with every facility we could possibly have wanted not to mention Sandie and David constantly going the extra mile if we needed advice. Thank you both for being the perfect hosts. We have not one negative word to say about this beautiful property - the rooms were comfortable, cooled where necessary with AC, the plethora of bathrooms is nothing short of extraordinary. Showers perfect and the supply of local wine and your own olive oil is truly the nicest touch. The games room, the space for kids to play on the terrace culminating in the fantastic pool was everything kids and the whole family would want. We didn’t need to leave here and, in fact, we probably did spend more time here that we would have in a 'run of the mill' villa. So finally, thank you to you both. We would love to see you both again but it would not be with such a heavy group of 'hangers on' although Bev’s decision for us to all be together this year was an inspirational one which worked perfectly. Everyone LOVED it.
