We have so enjoyed our stay at Cottage du Jardin - a picture perfect house full of charm. Thonac is well placed for visiting this part of Dordogne and the restaurants and shop within easy walking distance are a huge bonus. Many thanks Caterina and Steve for your kind hospitality.

We had an incredible family vacation at Château, celebrating the anniversary with a large group. The castle, the other building and the extensive private grounds are beautiful and very relaxing, we had everything we needed and the place was spotlessly clean. We absolutely loved our time here. The owner was a joy to work with. The home was absolutely charming. It was located on a picturesque hill, featured spacious, comfortable rooms and every luxury one would need while there. The home was spotless upon our arrival and the neighbors on the street were extremely helpful, pleasant and welcoming. We enjoyed swimming in the crisp, cool pool; hearing the church bells ring and exploring the neighboring villages as we attending the daily farmer's markets. We cannot wait to come back and are considering an extended stay as we fell in love with the area and this home. I would highly recommend it if you would like to truly experience the people and feel of the region.
Les Fumerates is a stylish and comfortable home-away-from-home in the South of France. It's a great base from which to explore the delightful village of Saint Paul De Vence, but most of your stay here should be spent unwinding by the villa's fabulous (and heated!) swimming pool with a good book and soaking up the panoramic views. Highly recommended for a quiet and relaxing trip with your nearest and dearest.
Two weeks of idyllic bliss in the rolling French countryside with superb weather to atch. As a family young and old, we enjoyed the stunning house, garden, pool and views. To agree with the previous guests, Laparade is the place to be on a Tuesday evening. Days spent at Biscarosse beach and lakeside both worth the journey. Would also highly recommend in house beauty treatments. We had massages and facials. Fantastic. Just ask Olivia.
We had a wonderful week’s stay at this amazing chateau. We were a family of four (two adults, two teenagers) and couldn’t have wished for a better week. The pool was very popular, and the garden was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Michelle has renovated and finished the whole building with attention to detail and the pictures, as impressive as they are, don’t really do it justice. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Your house is lovely and we all had a relaxing and enjoyable week. I think I can safely say that in all the years of hiring holiday accommodation in France we have not stayed in such a well appointed and well equipped property. We have enjoyed a 2-week stay at Laserne gite. We were Pete’s first guests last year and our second visit has been as special as our first stay. Pete has been a delightful host, checking on us daily to make sure everything was OK. The pool has been such a delight in this hot and sunny weather. The highlights of our stay are the wonderful views from the gite and the tranquillity of furniture and fittings.

It's been lovely staying somewhere with an excellent kitchen and such well-appointed bathrooms. And the beds are exceptionally comfortable. Externally, your garden is absolutely stunning and such a fabulous surprise - we leave inspired! More than anything, it's been your warmth and generous hospitality which will stay with us.
We had a lovely time at your house, we really like Pézenas and the surrounding area. The house itself was superb and very well equipped, we and our 18, 20 and 21 year old children were very happy. Being able to enjoy the shops and restaurants in Pézenas then wander back to the tranquillity of the house made for a great holiday.
Wonderful house. Thank you for our wonderful stay. We were a large party of friends looking for somewhere scenic to spend a week together. We were excited when we booked but over the moon when we arrived to the beautiful house. The space works really well for a large group of people with multiple areas to comfortably sit and hang out. We had some delicious dinners and breakfasts (cooked in the well equipped kitchen and BBQ) out on the deck and the view made them even more magical. Even though the house is wonderful to relax and play in the pool in we found some lovely things to do in the surrounding area. There's a wonderful restaurant right by the house and kayaking and wake-boarding about an hour drive and some nice villages not far. Overall if you want a place that feels private and scenic and is still functional and comfortable then this an ideal place. We hope to come back soon!
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your fantastic home! After a warm welcome we managed to settle down to enjoy all the facilities and the actual location of this beautiful area. Fantastic barn conversion, amazing location and wonderful facilities including a large swimming pool. Would highly recommend. The owner was super helpful throughout. The local villages have all the shops and services needed. We loved the rolling hills for jogging.
Once in a lifetime luck to find this house available for our vacation week - loved every second. We loved this house - it's huge, the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and the pool is just amazing. There's a beautiful view over Cannes and you can also see the old city of Mougins. We enjoyed cooking in at night, walking to the bakery nearby in the morning and the hosts even helped us organise private yoga classes at the villa. Loved everything.
I'm going to preface this review by saying our extended family have hired a number of châteaux over the years, so we have something to make comparisons with! Without doubt this château offered the best value for money we have ever enjoyed. Our party of 18 used all the 10 bedrooms on offer, without anyone having to compromise on bedroom space. The kitchen was large enough to cater for the entire party with plenty of worktop space and a large island unit. Refreshingly there are plenty of cooking utensils and professional sized pans etc. There are three fridges, we used the large stand alone fridge for food,= and the two under counter fridges for 'adults' and kids drinks. The lounge diner is huge and comfortable, with good quality games available, including chess and backgammon. The pool is among the largest we've ever enjoyed with a deep end you can actually dive into. At points we had a dozen people in the pool and still had room to swim around. There are two main terraces, both easily able to accommodate at least 20 people. Smaller seating areas are dotted around the grounds so if inclined you can take yourself off for a bit of peace and quiet. There is a new and very good quality BBQ on the rear terrace with a moving charcoal tray which means you can raise the heat source as charcoal burns away. We were able to BBQ for 18 on half a bag of lump wood. Our party had 5 cars, the driveway was large enough for them to be parked so that everyone could drive out of the château without the need to move another vehicle. Saving the best to last, the sports hall/games room is magnificent. With a full sized badminton court, a basket ball hoop, 2 table tennis tables, table football, a darts board,= and a full sized pool table our whole party had plenty of activities to choose from. This facility was constantly used for weeklong knockout completions including our own decathlon type event. Modesty prevents me revealing who the best pool player was. From our perspective, this vast array of facilities and activities provided the perfect ingredients for our first ever holiday where children needed no entertaining at all. Finally a place they can truly entertain themselves.
Magical times! You spoiled us so! Every detail was taken care of for us - even Mack and Mabel were a warming touch for us. I will miss the terrace more than you know, so hope to return soon. I want to hear about your progress for your next project. Thank you - Pigeon.
After a really warm welcome, this place feels just like home! Meryl and Richard have been fantastic hosts, from the very first day arriving at the gîte and making us coffee after a long drive, to taking us to the nearby night market to experience the real France. The villa itself is beautiful and peaceful - couldn't ask for more and we have loved our morning visits from Poppy! A highlight for us was a visit to Sarlat-la-Canéda - the centre is truly breathtaking. On the way back stopped for a drink at Beynac - you can see the château on the hill whilst having a coffee on the riverside, watching people canoe past! We have loved it! We will be back!
This is a total joy of a house. The photographs make it look beautiful - it is even better in real life. The pool is quite incredible - like being in a boutique hotel all of your own. A true hidden gem.
