Please accept our thanks and appreciation for this wonderful home in Homps. It was perfect in everyway. Location, space inside the home, outside space and pool. The kitchen had everything including spices and cleaning supplies. Pool towels were supplied and appliances all worked well. Five stars according to the family. They would love to return!!
A very enjoyable and relaxing week at La Maison Tournesol and hosts Meryl and Richard plus of course the lovely Poppy. Weather was slightly mixed but very pleasant when the sun was out. The very peaceful and well prepared accommodation was for the week and provided a perfect base to visit the surrounding area. The nearby village of Bourg de Visa is very picturesque and provides all required amenities with local shop an bank. Enjoyed a very nice meal at the restaurant on our final evening, the owner was most welcoming and very friendly. Thanks again both and hope to return again.
Thank you for sharing your lovely home, we had a great holiday here. Everyone enjoyed the peace and traquility of the beautiful countryside all around us. The night sky was amazing, so many stars! There was plenty to keep us occupied. We will be back next year and look forward to meeting you again. Thank you for all the thoughtful additions for the children. There was so much to keep them busy. There were four generations and we all managed to laugh, rest and play.
I would, rather belatedly, like to say how much we (5 adults and two girls aged 3 and 6) enjoyed our stay end of May in Maison La Perouse. The gorgeous house worked well for our 3 generations; it was so comfortable and very well equipped. Although the weather wasn’t brilliant the girls played and ran around in the fabulous garden whenever possible. However the trampoline was the highlight for them. The pool and fab BBQ were at their best on the last 2 days when the sun eventually showed its face. Finally, Sue was a fabulous host and always on hand when needed, especially when I tripped the dryer. She took all the wet washing, used her own dryer and then hung everything up - such service! This is a wonderful house, not just for families but for everyone who likes comfort, space and great tourist destinations within about an hours drive. Thank you Sue and Pure France.
Magnificent house, breathtaking view of the village bell tower, refreshing swimming pool. Rooms ideal for long nights and restorative naps! Fabulous.
We had a wonderful October half term family holiday at Château Bellevue watching the Quicksilver and Roxy ProFrance surfing championships in Hossegor. The weather was still warm and in between the events we visited San Sebastian and loved the Old Town there with so many amazing tapas bars. At the end of the day, back at the château, it was great to curl up around the fire in the evening and plan the next days excursions.
Just to say we really enjoyed staying here. Lovely and relaxing just like being at home, especially with the ponies down the lane and swimming every day and visiting the Dordogne valley, beautiful.
Thank you so much Isabelle for letting us stay in your gorgeous house in Bordeaux. The house is huge and beautifully finished. It feels both luxurious and like a comfortable family home. Caroline made us feel very welcome and we really appreciated the grocery shop on arrival with several hungry children in tow. The pool was such a hit, especially when the weather got really hot. The area is stunning too. We will be back!
Château Chante L'Oiseau is the epitome of rustic French countryside living. It is an absolutely charming property with well appointed and comfortable rooms for restful sleep and mutiple reception rooms for relaxing and entertaining in. Its extensive grounds offer a plethora of activities to enterain both young and old. This is our favourite spot for a sojourn with friends and family.
We have had a fantastic, relaxing week in a beautiful part of the world. The views from the pool and terrace are stunning and will be sorely missed!

What an amazing house in what has now become our favourite part of France! We have had the best of time and just wish we were staying for longer. The pool has been an absolute highlight and we’re going home with three confident swimmers! Really enjoyed the Friday market in Prayssac - a proper French experience. Came for 2 weeks, had a warm welcome from our hosts. We explored the area and further afield, went on lovely walks, found some lovely villages, Sarlat-la-Caneda and Bergerac with their lovely markets. Lovely holiday home. This was the first time we had stayed in this area of Perigord. The house was fantastic, very large for 4 people and had a really good swimming pool. The house is only 2 km from the river which is also lovely to swim in. There is also a lake nearby at Grolejac as well if you prefer that. The property is in a quiet but central location with numerous beautiful towns to visit nearby (e.g. Domme and Sarlat) and lots of activities to enjoy. We had a great 2 week holiday here!
What a gorgeous week we've had here ! Annie and John have been so welcoming - inviting us for a much-needed glass of wine on our arrival. Not to mention all the helpgul local knowledge and information. We have loved the pool, sunshine and glorious garden. We would recommend the lovely Piglet Barn and Annie and John especially. Wonderful house. Thank you for our wonderful stay. We were a large party of friends looking for somewhere scenic to spend a week together. We were excited when we booked but over the moon when we arrived to the beautiful house. The space works really well for a large group of people with multiple areas to comfortably sit and hang out. We had some delicious dinners and breakfasts (cooked in the well equipped kitchen and BBQ) out on the deck and the view made them even more magical. Even though the house is wonderful to relax and play in the pool in we found some lovely things to do in the surrounding area. There's a wonderful restaurant right by the house and kayaking and wake-boarding about an hour drive and some nice villages not far. Overall if you want a place that feels private and scenic and is still functional and comfortable then this an ideal place. We hope to come back soon!
Just packing our bags for our homeward journey after a fantastic two weeks here in your lovely house in Faugeres! After a long journey we were delighted to arrive at your welcoming house. Our stay here has been more than comfortable with everything we needed and more at our fingertips. Your information booklet proved invaluable.
Our second time here and more amazing than ever. A beautiful home and stunning location. Superb food and atmosphere. We highly recommend it ! The town of Brantome, too - it is gorgeous ! We will be back again. - family O-H
As per other reviews the house was great with stunning views. All the things you need to have a great holiday. The weather was still hot with some days in the mid 30s, so we took advantage of the swimming pool and relaxed around the house. The house is a great location for cycling, there is the obvious challenge of Mount Ventoux and there are some excellent roads in the surrounding area with stunning scenery. For those interested in wine then I would highly recommend Paul from Rhône wine tours. He came to the house and we did wine tasting with him and we learnt about wines of the Rhône valley, while the kids played in the pool. Great if you don't want to take a tour with kids at the winery.
We adored our stay at this charming renovated farmhouse, with views to keep in our memory forever. This house truly suited our family with our two sons, partners and grandchildren. The kitchen was excellent and overall the house had every facility we would look for, the pool and table tennis rooms were regularly in the daily family tournaments, that took place. Sitting outside at the covered dining table for breakfast and evening meals was a great pleasure daily. The swimming pool has sun for the majority of the day so keeps a good temperature for swimming and the steps enabled our grandson to build his water confidence. The Thursday market in Nyons is excellent and Vaison le romaine is full of history. Les Marquises is one of our favourite holiday experiences, great location and great house.
Thank you so much for our brilliant holiday. The property is near perfect for a relaxing holiday, we really couldn't want for anything! The area is beautiful and we especially loved the swimming at Ribaute. Lagrasse has some great restaurants and the Sunday market was really interesting. On the owner Ms W advice we took a trip to the Salvador Dali museum in Figueres - this is brilliant and we loved it. The owner Ms W made us feel very welcome, we really enjoyed the wine you left. Thanks again for making our holiday so GREAT!
