Where to begin? Booked this wonderful house 10 months ago. Often looked at the pictures and thought can anywhere be so perfect... it can! The sheer joy of walking from room to room, spending entire days outside by and in the pool. Simple living in a sumptuous house which just keeps giving with it's character, beautiful art and furniture. Was this as perfect as I imagined? Absolutely. Would I come back? Without a doubt. Loved every minute'
We had the most wonderful stay in Maison Baleyssagues. The house was exactly as described and we immediately felt at home. Great location, beautiful pool and perfect rooms and beds. Also big thanks to host Frédéric. We will definitely come back.

Our week at the villa was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived we were struck by the peacefulness of the surroundings. The villa itself is beautifully maintained. It was very windy during our stay and Philippe came each morning to clean the pool! We spent hours in the pool - it is just beautiful! Every day brought a new adventure – the wine tasting tour at Le Cave was really interesting (although we did end up spending a fortune! Philippe was just the perfect host – so lovely. The pastries delivered twice weekly were lovely and a huge thank you to Philippe for the birthday cakes for my husband's 60th on the Friday! The meal that Philippe paid for at La Tour was just amazing – so much so we decided to return for birthday celebrations. It has been the kind of stay that recharges you in every way. We are leaving relaxed, inspired and already planning our return! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a serene French escape paired with genuine and caring hospitality! Thank you so much Philippe – we are so so sad to be leaving but wonderful memories made!

Just a quick note to say WOW - we are blown away by your house! It is amazing, we have travelled to France every year for about 10 years but already we know that this will be the best yet! Nothing has disappointed, just thrilled- we are keen cooks (eaters really) and your kitchen is perfect. Off to have a quick wander around the village before returning to cook our traditional first night supper of scallops and fresh prawns. We spent three weeks and greatly enjoyed our time at Maison Charvin. The villa itself is spacious and very well presented. Loads of storage particularly in the kitchen, which has a big fridge freezer and ample cupboard space. The kitchen and house in general, is exceptionally well equipped – in fact better than any that we have stayed in during our 10+ years holidaying in France. All of the bedrooms are large, light and airy and all are ensuite. We were travelling with teenagers and they really appreciated the extra space in the bedrooms to give them a bit of extra privacy / space on their own. There is no WC on the ground floor in the house – however, there is one poolside so this is of little concern. The garden is private and lovely to sit in, with the planting making it an interesting and relaxing space. The pool is not huge, but is good for hanging out and cooling down, particularly in the evenings as it is well lit. There is room for a small car outside the villa, but as ours is a big estate we left it at the bottom of the road about 100m away, convenient and safe. The villa is centrally located in a nice and friendly village. There is a really useful general store within walking distance, but the bakery closed down shortly before we arrived and the bar apparently opens infrequently and is up for sale – presumably these are temporary issues though. There were a number of social events going on in the village, with a market taking place each Tuesday evening where we enjoyed having a wander before sitting with a glass of wine. Carcassonne is close by and there are plenty of places in the area to visit. Our experience was very positive and we certainly feel the villa was excellent value for money. Finally, a word on our host - Sharon is based in a neighbouring village over the summer and was super friendly and helpful, making recommendations for trips out and booking restaurants for us. This was much appreciated and allowed us to make the most of our stay. Overall, we would heartily recommend!
Thank you for a wonderful relaxing holiday. Your house, gardens and surroundings are all spectacular. We very much enjoyed picnicing in the back garden and our kids absolutely loved the tree house. Highlights were Saumur market Saturday morning. Dining at La Licorne Fontervuad Château d'Ussé, Zoo BioParc de Doce and the gardens at Château de Villandry. Also a visit with the kids across the road to see the rabbits at the invitation of your friendly neighbours. Many thanks.
If you are looking for calm in a peaceful environment, Le Mas de Combet is for that! it is very well equipped, nothing missing! a huge and well maintained lot with this very friendly view of a small lake and the forest . the terrace with its large pergola is ideal for resting or having a drink . we enjoyed the large swimming pool with its summer kitchen. hosts are exceptionally kind and welcoming . we recommend without hesitation.
Without a doubt, this is the most peaceful and relaxing holiday we have ever had. Such a beautiful setting with everything we needed - even to keep our 3 boys entertained. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise.
Villa Genêts is a beautiful villa close to the village of Magagnosc . It has a lovely outdoor dining area which has amazing panoramic views of the Bay of Cannes, perfect for alfresco dining and enjoying the local wines. The house combines both elegance and comfort with a fabulous swimming pool. The pool has loungers for basking in the sun and has a seating area and outside bar ideal for pre-dinner sunset drinks. The house is close to Grasse and is in a superb location for exploring the delights of Provence, with easy access to the coast but also provides an escape from it all.
We had a very good stay, peaceful and surrounded by nature in an area full of charm. It is an ideal place to rest and recharge your batteries and also discover this beautiful region. Our hosts were very welcoming and available. We recommend this place!
We had a great time at the house - everything went smoothly. We also spent a fair bit of time exploring the general area although we always ended up back at the large table with a glass of rose taking in the view over the vines come end of day!
We have had a wonderful and memorable two weeks here. You both have been very helpful and thoughtful. Highlights for us were relaxing by the pool, the great markets at Cahors and Prayssac, the daily petit déjeuner at Chez Lajo and C. using Frans' smoker and BBQ! We are looking forward to returning!
We could not have made a better decision than to come to Villa La Baronne to spend the end of the year. The house is magnificent, the location unbeatable both for the surroundings (the river, the forest, the small towns...) and the proximity to Toulouse. We were not too familiar with the region, but since we live in a highly fast-paced city, we knew we wanted a tranquil and somewhat less-touristy vacation spot surrounded by nature. Through an amazing agency, we were able to lease the cottage for two weeks in late August and had an amazing time there. The property dates back to 1750 and is fully well-renovated - every detail has been taken into consideration so one is able to enjoy the experience of staying in an authentic French country house, but with modern amenities that enhance the original character of the property, rather than detract from it. The town and the people are very charming and there are restaurants, cafés, a grocery store, shops, butcher shops, etc. and an excellent choice of patisseries and boulangeries, which my husband happily frequented every morning in order to bring back fresh breakfast goodies! There is a weekly market in the town square, just a 5-minute drive from the house selling amazing produce and other artisanal delights! The town is within a comfortable drive from beautiful sites in neighboring Beynac, Sarlat and Bergerac, not counting other small picturesque places you find on the way. And if you haven't done much research, fret not because the owners of the home have compiled quite an impressive binder of information with all of the popular attractions and must-see places in the area. I do not over-exaggerate when I say the house is extremely well-equipped as if it were our own home! When we were not out sightseeing during the morning, we were downstairs preparing food in the kitchen, which may seem small in the photos, but it is spacious and the layout is wonderful - the oven and stove are ideal for seasoned cooks, there is a full-size dishwasher and tons of pots, pans, utensils, gadgets and appliances - all in superb condition, so we wanted for nothing. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Maison Bourg Cales, which I would highly recommend to anyone in search of an idyllic, quiet getaway in the beautiful French countryside.

Everything was amazing at La Bastide 1718. We had to travel to the area for work, which was made especially difficult during the pandemic and lockdown. However, the villa and host, Thomas, made our trip as enjoyable as it could be within the circumstances. Thomas the host was always on hand for anything! Very professional, kind and thoughtful. Honestly one of the best hosts I have ever had! The villa is incredible. Each bedroom is up to a hotel standard; from the bedding, aircon and heating, TVs, bathrooms and styling. The kitchen and facilities are very well maintained and equipped, with anything you could possibly need! We spent every evening in the dining and living room with the fire burning, which was a great setting for the team to relax. There are so many facilities and things to do in the Villa, you would never get bored during your stay! The location is stunning and well worth the long driveway to get such seclusion and stunning views. There were lots of thoughtful touches throughout the villa which I don't want to give away. Each of them made our stay even more relaxing and memorable. Thank you again to Thomas and the team behind La Bastide!
We had a wonderful time in the lovely property in Gonfaron. We ranged in size from 3 for one week to a full house for the other 3 weeks. The porch with the big table and sofa area was fantastic. Big dinners at night and coffee on the sofas in the morning. All my guests loved it. Everyone loved the pool and pool house.
