You don't need us to tell you what a beautiful house this is and the bath with a view indeed. We didn't eat out much as the super markets were so convenient and the kitchen well equipped. We arrived in a heat wave, not complaining though! It was amazing and the wonderful pool helped us cool off. The children took their push bikes over the back of the vineyards to the cycle path and biked into Nyons, we also walked it which was most pleasant. As regards places of interest, we took ideas from the house book as it was too hot to visit the tourist information centre during opening hours and most of our exploring was done in the evenings.
Had a wonderful stay with 3 families here! Enjoyed the pool and the outdoor terrace a lot!
If we could give more than 5 stars we would!! This place was beautiful, everything was pristine, stylish, good quality and the house itself was spacious. Gaëlle and Etienne were incredibly hospitable, lovely people and easy to communicate with. Was such a pleasant stay!
My wife and I have been visiting France for over 20 years and The Loft is the best property we have stayed at. The photographs on the website do not do it justice. Russell and Karen have fitted out The Loft with wonderful taste and all of the bathrooms are top quality including the selection of toiletries left for their guests to use. Their attention to detail is second to none. We received an extensive welcome pack when we arrived at the house and Karen even delivered fresh pastries for breakfast on the Sunday morning from the local Boulangerie. Outside the house there is a beautiful pool and garden but the jewel in the crown is the large sheltered "porch area". This is a half open and half covered space off the front of The Loft where you can choose sun or shade during the day. The BBQ is there along with a big dining table and also sofas for relaxing. It’s a fab place to eat and drink during the day or on an evening with a lovely view of the extensive gardens. Rieux Minervois is a nice little town situated in the middle of the Minervois wine region It has a good Italian restaurant within 2 minutes walk from the house, which Karen kindly booked it for us for the night we arrived. The food was very good. The town is also well placed to visit Carcassonne, Narbonne and several of the coastal towns; we particularly enjoyed Gruissan. It is also surrounded by many other small villages with excellent restaurants if you want enjoy a lazy lunch during your holiday. Karen will even book them for you if you ask. Overall we spent a lovely week in The Languedoc. Thank you Russell and Karen for your hospitality and for going to such lengths to make our holiday so memorable.
Excellent stay in an idyllic setting! We had a wonderful week long stay with the family. The hosts are charming and very helpful. The house is very pleasant to live in and the bedding is excellent! The swimming pool is superb, the pool house also ... in short, a perfect week!
It's hard to put into words how pretty Maison Rohmer and the surroundings are. The interior decor is very luxurious and tasteful and the house and setting is a dream. The Luberon/Haut-Vaucluse region is a lovely place to stay - well within reach of all of Provence's jewels - and provided our family with an excellent base. It the perfect place to both launch ourselves into the countryside to climb Mount Ventoux and visit the vineyards of Beaumes-de-Venise, or simply relax by the pool. During our stay, Aries (the property manager) visited a few times to keep the garden looking perfect and clean the pool and he was also extremely useful in giving ideas for things to do in the local area... like the evening market in Coustellet, which we would have never known otherwise. The owner, was also very patient and helpful in answering all of my queries! A perfect week in Provence.

A memorable week in Les Trois Maisons de Valescure. Our host Thomas was very caring and attentive. Very good services (top bedding and cleanliness, nothing to complain about. The house is situated in an idyllic and very peaceful spot, opposite a small, charming church in a tiny village. The garden offers a beautiful views over the sunflower fields and an XL salt-water swimming pool (very skin friendly). This is a perfect spot to relax and unwind, with a cosy seating area in the shadow of a magnificent tree, or you can cycle round the beautiful area. The house offers every comfort and keeps naturally cool because of the thick walls. The kitchen is well equipped, both indoor and outdoor! - August 2020
We had all looked forward to staying at La Barde just from its location and seeing the lovely pics and the reality was still better and just perfect for two families of five. There's a wonderful secret garden feel and we were surrounded with the best of early summer in the garden. The house has a lovely laid-back, stylish vibe with a huge kitchen, spacious bedrooms and a large comfy sitting room we never needed to use. The shady terrace outside the kitchen with roses and jasmine and every possible seating and lazing opportunity was the centre of 'activities' and wonderful for every meal. Early morning swims with the scent of jasmine and lavender were a particular treat and there were endless pingpong, badminton (and tanning) challenges. La Barde is perfectly positioned for enjoying local life from markets to canoeing and Périgueux is just an hour away. We loved the Lusignac bar. You won't be surprised to read that we are returning this year!
A great place to stay, ideally located for Vouvant, which is a lovely town and a genuine short walk for something good to eat and drink. Fontenay-le-Comte is an interesting large market town. Fervent is worth exploring with pretty forests, lakes and rivers. The owners pool is a good size and adjoins their property. The hosts were very welcoming.
Château La Roche-Posay is a very special place. The gite is super comfy and well appointed, with fantastic views over the river Creuse. Definitely worthy of its five star rating. Laura and Ian are highly professional, experienced chateau hosts who know how to look after their guests.
The most enjoyable part of France. The most enjoyable stay in “luxe” villa. Highlights: fresh veg from Duras market on Monday. eating out at Eymet, almost any restaurant will do, but particular favourites are Cour d’Eymet and Château les Vigiers. watching the red kites hunting over the fields in the evening . The lizards and the geko on the patio. All in all a memorable experience.

We had a great stay in Maison Rohmer. The house was beautiful and had all you could ask for a family of four. It was incredibly hot while we were there so we found ourselves spending most of our time in the pool, which was lovely. The owner was also very helpful and the location in the heart of the Luberon is hard to beat. Highly recommended.

A week stay with all the family. Villa Colline is a superb ultra modern luxury villa, fitted with stunning furniture and accessories. The modern kitchen is very well equipped and the bedrooms are all very luxurious, especially the master room with its hot tub. For me, it was the pool and the numerous sun terraces which pleased me, especially the private areas with each room - little havens of peace! We had a fantastic week and we give the villa 10/10 ! Thank you both for the most wonderful stay at your beautiful villa. We’ve had the most incredible week exploring the South of France – an area we love – and discovering new places. This spot is extremely special and we’ve relished the relaxing days and evenings spent here (made even more special by the sighting of a wild boar with babies and your marvellous set up for the gorgeous cats) – thank you for showing us this! The secluded spot, surrounded by woodland, an aromatic and fragrant garden attracting many butterflies, a beautiful pool and terrace area is somewhere we won’t forget and would love to come back to. Everything has been thought of at this place which makes it so homely. Everything from kitchen utensils and supplies to the BBQ, bowls and the TV set-up – the place has it all. You have both been such friendly and discrete hosts, allowing us such privacy and the personality you have stamped on the place (from plants, to artwork and sculptures as well as the lovely cats) makes this space so full of character too. Thanks again and we wish you both the best – hopefully we’ll return in the future!
We had a wonderful holiday, thank you! It is such a beautiful part of France. We realised we had stayed in a house just the other side of Lauzerte about 7 years ago in the days before children and we could drive around in a soft top! The house has been so nicely done and the arrangement worked really well for us as a family. The view was out of this world! And we loved having the auberge round the corner. We may well be back!
One cannot believe it can look as the pictures... in fact it is better. Everything absolutely first class and in a great location. We traveled as a family and the place managed to be both romantic and perfect for children. Cannot recommend highly enough. Six stars.
A great stay. The chalet is 2 steps from the centre of St Lary! Patrice's welcome and all his good plans allowed us to discover the place in the best conditions. The jacuzzi terrace, the games room and the gym also allow you to spend a great holiday at home for those who do not like hiking or skiing. I recommend winter as well as summer!

We have spent two delightful weeks ago Maison Labarde belonging to Jean and Martin. Over 30 years we have stayed in more than a dozen properties in France and if we rated them all this would be at the top. It is in a part of France that we are familiar with and we enjoyed the local markets and the history of the bastide towns. A visit to a recently renovated château was well worth it. It was set in beautiful grounds with impressive pool and gazebo. As well as dining terrace and outdoor kitchen. The gite itself was roomy and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing. And it was certainly value for money. Jean and Martin were perfect hosts - just the right balance between being available when we needed them and leaving us to our privacy. I cannot end without mentioning Tanner the superb, well behaved, friendly, German Shepherd. We lost our hearts to him as well as this beautiful holiday home. We would happily return another year.
Went to this beautiful holiday cottage for the second time. What a great experience again this time. We were warmly welcomed and our house felt like coming home again. Host and hostess Leo and Esther gave us great tips so that our holiday became a great experience again. The visit to Nîmes was impressively beautiful. I especially recommend visiting Avignon to everyone with its beautiful center and the cozy terraces around the market square. The swimming pool overlooking the vineyards is a pearl. The silence descends on you wonderfully in the evening. Truly unique. Thank you for another great holiday.
We had a wonderful holiday at La Maison Blanche. The location is stunning, a huge garden with a large pool - overlooking a field of sunflowers when we were there. We were two couples with two older children and the house is very spaceous and beautifully furnished. The location is very peaceful. Whilst that means that shops, local markets and restaurants are not within walking distance the house is very well equipped, both for cooking and barbequeing as well as entertainment with the pool, table tennis and games. A three-generation family holiday has been thoroughly enjoyed here at Fontalbe. Sitting under the wisteria Trees was a favourite spot for breakfast, reading, watercolour painting etc. the pool has been fantastic for six grandchildren who have had hours of fun and laughter, the sun loungers have been well used too. So much wildlife – demoiselles, butterflies, dragonflies, lizards, a toad plus fish and crayfish in the stream.
A lovely town house in a quiet village, with the added bonus of a pool. We enjoyed dining on the terrace in the evening watching the sun set.
