Wonderful stay, 5 children and 8 adults all found happiness. Bedroom, bathroom, very spacious living room as well as a pool terrace perfectly arranged for everyone and the little extra of an outdoor kitchen with barbeque. The proximity is very quiet, in the countryside but at a very correct distance to do activities. We thank the host for making this villa available for our holidays. We recommend without hesitation. Excellent. We had a very good stay. The villa is very well equipped, dishes, utensils, everything is present. An exceptional panoramic view of the vineyards from the house and the swimming pool. Warm welcome on our arrival and guaranteed rest in the middle of the vineyards.
We've had a wonderful week, enjoyed by all. We thought the tapas evening with Emma was great fun and well worth it, she's very knowledgable. We ended the week with lunch at Domaine Gayda, a great recommendation. We were sad to leave such a lovely home which exceeded our expectations and I would love to think that one day we could return. Thank you for your welcome.
Thank you so much for our stay it was amazing. This is one of my favourite places in the world, just sitting by the field for hours on end listening and then coming back to play a family game of monopoly. Thank you again and we need to come back.

Expect a warm welcome from friendly and helpful owners, Nicky and Richard to the lovey château. Beautifully located among vine covered fields and wooded hills, we'd enjoyed the peace, the views, the wonderful pool and the space. The château is not far from some pretty villages dotted around the River Lot and Cahors is only 25 minutes away. Plenty to do and see in the area, with the opportunity to return back to our holiday oasis where we could barbecue and relax or play a round of golf on site in their vast grounds. Loved it.

The castle is beautiful and you were a very kind hostess and full of respect for us. Especially, it was an honor to have seen the library. I found it fascinating and with a special atmosphere even without books. Your father was a very important man. Thank you for explaining. (And thank you, too, for your patience with my French! I really enjoyed talking to you.). Of course, I would very much like to return to the castle, maybe for my birthday next year in July. Very friendly.

Wow, what a great place! During our stay there was nothing else we could have wished for. The awesome pool area, the great BBQ, the comfortable (sun)beds and beautiful bathrooms; everything was top notch. Enjoying the local wines, the pretty surroundings and fantastic golf course with our friends made this stay like it should be... Holiday! We hope to come back!
What a lovely spot! The villa is well equipped, comfy and tranquil. We spent a huge amount of time in the pool and loved exploring the area around Tourrettes and Fayence.
Eight days at Malardier after the brash noise of the Hamptons in August was underlined as I walked past the dried sunflowers. What was that sound? Only a breeze moving stealthily through the stalks hushing its way to the end of the meadow. An hours walk completed, a years stress melted away.
The experience and memories will stay with you. Luxury these days is ostentatious and expensive. If you are bored of gimmicks, the look at me photos, and shows of flamboyance and want to return to a time when it meant doing something rare, something magical and getting great pleasure then this is it. As a workaholic, I was only meant to stay a few days but I cancelled my trip to Rome without any sense of guilt. You know when something is special. The grandness of the chateau hits you as you drive through woods to its door. It is a huge palace but when you walk into the kitchen you instantly feel at ease, a sense of calm and belonging as if you have always lived here. The vastness means you can go hide but also easily fall into one of many rooms to join in the chatter and the laughter; the odd glass in hand. The ambience makes you appreciate spending time with friends and loved ones. This is not an escape. It is a return to reality. To nature, to walks in the woods, to scrabbling up steep hilly banks to find Roman ruins. An adult returning to childhood freedom. Losing yourself into another world. All the bedrooms have their own individual character. I slept in the Venetian Room. I know nice sheets but these were really nice sheets. I slid into sleep every night. Everything is top quality but you don’t need an engineering degree to turn on the shower. It is so pleasantly gadget free. Let’s face it, every luxury hotel, every luxury spa, every special Swedish cream; it’s all the same bought from the same store, boring and instantly forgettable. But this is simplicity, beauty and elegance.

Just wanted to follow up to say how great it was at Maison Brunet. We really enjoyed our stay. The house , especially the kitchen were well equipped to enjoy the local food produce. The house was spotless on arrival and is decoratively finished. The pool was refreshing, clean and a great benefit during the warm summer days. We were a family of 5 with a dog and all had a great time at the house with the gardens and grounds. Thanks.

A truly fabulous house, super comfortable and well equipped with everything you could want. The incredible kitchen is a joy to cook in. The pool was warm and super clean. This was a really special place for our family holiday with lots of space to spread out. Clare gave us some great recommendations for places to visit and eat. Andy cooked us a delicious meal for us which is a real treat. The area is lovely and peaceful, surrounded by vineyards, unspoilt local towns and villages. We would love to return and show the area and house to other friends and family.
Wow - what a fantastic place to stay! Hugh and Ian are wonderful hosts and have made sure everything we need us available to make our holiday such a relaxing one. The grounds are beautiful and the pool has been glorious to cool down in the summer heat. It was great to meet Oscar your stunning dog too. This lovely rural farmhouse provided plenty of space for our extended family of 6 adults and 3 children (aged 13 and 4) to spend a relaxing week in a more peaceful area of the Dordogne. The pool was a huge hit with adults and children alike whilst the many outside areas allowed space for both sun or shade throughout the day. In addition to games described there are lots of toys for younger children including a new sandpit which ‘appeared’ whilst we were there. Would recommend.

Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the luxurious accommodations to the stunning swimming pool overlooking the picturesque landscape. Whether we were exploring the nearby historic villages, indulging in the region’s incredible food and wine, or simply relaxing on the terrace, every moment felt special. On arrival at the Loft du Vigneron what a wonderful welcome we received, then only to find a delightfully designed, comfortable and well thought out accommodation. Thank you for being such great hosts. We are in awe of what you have achieved so far and wish you every success in completing this wonderful restoration and adventure in a beautiful part of France.
We arrived late afternoon and were met by Yvonne who gave us a lovely tour of this beautiful stunning house, such a lovely welcome. I love all of the lovely antique finds in all of the rooms from the hats in the master bedroom to the old magazines to the pram in the barn. Everything has been thought of here we really didn't need a thing. Would really recommend a trip to La Rochelle but you would need to leave early it really does get very busy. We have been truly spoilt staying here. Impeccably clean and tidy, we have loved every minute. We'd love to come back.
It was a wonderful property to stay in – everyone who stayed with us were very impressed by the house. It’s a lovely town too. The management people in Pézenas for this property were very helpful too. We are in the UK now and are missing the south of France weather.
