An exceptional house in an exceptional setting. We were able to stay a week in this house in so many different ways, as a family, as a couple with friends and this house allows to enjoy life! Take the time to enjoy the superb cuisine, professional level equipment, with and without a caterer, you will appreciate the heart of the house. A large piece of land that can be shared around the house for different activities, a superb seating area with views on the Rhone, a welcoming corner around a round table and its tennis court not far away. The land extends to offer a short walk, allowing digestive walks following the big banquets in the reception house where a large sofa, retro projector and bar await you! Perfect tranquility and very comfortable bedding, enough to spend an exceptional stay where rest and pleasure are the key words of our experience.
We have just returned from our stay and wanted to let you know what a lovely place this is. Firstly the property itself is extremely comfortable with a beautifully maintained pool in a lovely setting overlooking the vineyards. The proprietors, Debbie and Rupert, are very welcoming and helpful. They are not intrusive but they do go the extra mile to make the holiday enjoyable. Everything was included that we could possibly have needed and Debbie gave us some delicious home made yoghurt for breakfast. Secondly, this is a brilliant area to visit. It's located pretty much on a crossroads between different areas, so whichever direction you travel in the countryside is different and there are some incredible places to visit: beautiful villages, vineyards, Cahors, the river Lot and its valley, Peche Merle for prehistory and a lovely little prehistory museum in Luzech with some amazing exhibits. We've re-visited places we've been to over the years and also seen some new. It has been everything that we could have wanted - and more.
A heartfelt thank you from us for your generous hospitality. It has been a joyful end to the year and a great start to 2022. We do hope to see you later in the year and wish you a truly happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. With our thanks and best wishes.

This has been our first villa holiday and you have certainly spoilt us for the future! We don't know how Maison Albarels could be bettered. You have done a fantastic job in converting your old family home into such a lovely villa. Many thanks for your hospitality, especially your wine and juice on arrival and your lovely cherries - and also for trying to sort out the TV for us to watch the World Cup in English... Even if England were rubbish! We loved Carcassonne - we went once by car and once by walking along the Canal du Midi at Pezens. Also Château Pennaultier - a mini Versailles - was impressive and helpful staff in the restaurant / shop. Special mention to the lovely lady in the shop next door, always smiling and helpful even if our French was a bit limited!
A week that will remain in our memories for life! 13 members of our family stayed at the chateau for the most wonderful week. Staying in a castle was a new experience for all, especially for the children! The pool was much used and fully appreciated! Our host was a great support. We dined at his restaurant and he cooked a wonderful meal for us at the chateau! We explored local villages. Noyers was a delight as were Chablis and the local vineyards. This was a week that will remain in our memories for life!

The proximity to everything has been fab, however the terrace and the pool area is where my fondest memories were made with my family. After a very difficult few years, this holiday has restored and rejuvenated me more than I ever expected. Can’t wait for next time.
We were absolutely overwhelmed by beauty, tranquility and views surrounding the wonderful home. Such a privilege to spend time here forming special memories with the family - especially celebrating a significant birthday! We enjoyed the gorgeous pool, BBQ'd, had a vineyard tour and wine tasting, kayaked on the Dordogne and much more. Frédéric's warmth, helpfulness and attention to detail was very much appreciated- we can't praise the level of service and thoughtfulness enough! Thank you so much!

Château Mézard really is as lovely as it is depicted on the website! It was a magical place for a holiday. The house and grounds were amazing, the set-up of the house provides great privacy even for a large group. Exploring the surrounding countryside, towns and cities provided the perfect French country get away. Returning to the amazing luxury of the château for a dinner on the terrace or a swim in the pool was the highlight of each day.
We came here to celebrate a couple of family birthdays and get some time together. From the moment we walked in the door we quickly came to realise what an amazing place this is. The view from the kitchen window (bu the sink) literally brought my sister to tears. ... in a very positive way. This week has allowed us to explore the area to some degree, but with so much on offer around and in the property, there was little incentive to go anywhere. The difficulty now will be to keep this gem of a property a secret from others, as we will undoubtedly tell everyone about this fantastic place. Thank you for so generously sharing your house. What a beautiful spot. The view from the kitchen was breathaking. It made cooking in the super well-fitted-out kitchen extra enjoyable. We had a precious weekhere with the whole family, from young to old enjoying our time together. There were delicious meals, peaceful morgning swims, mad everyone in the pool swims. We enjoyed visiting Montcuq market so much and visiting the village fair nearby. We wish we had more time here. Thank you so much for opening up your house to us and creating such a well designed beautifully decorated space for people to experience.

Cédric, another wonderful holiday in your beautiful villa. We enjoyed it so much, with trips towards Narbonne, the Canal du Midi, Pézenas, Gruissan for the stage 16 of the Tour de France, as well as lots of time in the fantastic pool! you wer a great host, showing us your new wine cellar (I didn't drink all the wine!) and telling us your plans to make the house even better. We've had a fantastic week in your beautiful home with all its attention to detail. Thank you so much – the pool table has been a great novelty, the sports equipment and bikes have entertained us for hour. We’ve loved visiting the bastides and swimming in the lake and the Lot.
Thank you again for opening your home to us this summer. We all really needed a vacation and the house was a superb way to relax and enjoy perfect weather. We all had a great time and fully enjoyed the house and the property. The overall layout of the house and inside the rooms is very thoughtful and was perfect for all of us. We had three families, 4 kids of different ages and a grandma. The different spaces allowed us to handle the different kid routines and moods in a way that gave everyone privacy. The kitchen is large and extremely well furnished. Makes it comfortable to cook for large groups. The pool is actually enormous. The way Patrick takes care of it seems to produce much better results than I have seen in other places: the water stayed clear all the way through. The pool house is an incredibly valuable area, especially because it is so well furnished, this is a serious luxury. The small supermarket in St-Antonin-du-Var is surprisingly good, if you are not a big cook you could totally live off this (they opened on Sunday am!). We also organised a Casino home delivery for the day before we arrived. We used P and Geraldine for 16 hours a week, to get the kitchen cleaned, make the beds, light housekeeping, remove rubbish, clean the BBQ and pool house areas and this made a huge positive difference.

Beautiful house, beautiful setting and wonderful location! We’ve had an amazing two weeks here and have loved both days here around the pool and some day trips out - Le Franqui beach, Carcassonne and our boys particularly enjoyed Lac’cro Park and the dinosaur museum at Esperaza. Thanks to Nathalie and Mike for always being on hand to help and answer any questions and for being so welcoming. We don’t want to leave!
Belle Vue is quite simply a wonderful place for a holiday. The house is stunning, set at the top of a valley, with views of the Dordogne River and medieval châteaux’s in the distance. I understand from the owner that the house was once his family home and this permeates the atmosphere of the place. It is a very relaxing and comfortable place to be. Equipped with everything you would expect in a holiday letting but it goes much further than that. It feels like a home, and a very tastefully furnished one at that. Between the owner, gardener and the housekeeper everything has been thought of and they all go out of their way to make the holiday special. The bedrooms are very comfortable with a luxurious en-suite in the main bedroom. All in all it is just a brilliant place to spend a holiday and in the terms of the Sarlat area we have just been captivated and cannot recommend it highly enough.
We really like the idea of returning to Les Jumelles. We loved it and have such fond memories of our time there. Our children really loved the pool and the beautiful garden, with space for all the activities including table tennis, badminton, and football.
Thanks for a truly wonderful week. The house, garden and pool are really fabulous. We had a wonderfully relaxing time and didn't do as much exploring as we should have done as we couldn't tear ourselves away from the garden / pool. Don't miss Friday evening in Pézenas with the high street market, food, wine and music.
We have spent a wonderful two weeks hereat Les Hirondelles, such a beautiful house, with everything you could need and Cédric has been so helpful! We have been out and about, to markets in Narbonne (Sunday), Capestang (Wednesday), swam in the sea at Gruissan Plage, visited abbays at Narbonne, Abbaye Fontfroide - beautiful - and a fab lunch in one restaurant and La Grasse. The bar in Canet is fun, the pizza place does good pizzas (inc. take away) and there are shops. In Raissac, there is bread and croissants at the cooperative in the morning and there is a wine cave in Canet open daily 11 - 12 - fill your plastic container! We dined at Le Somail, tapas and something nature - both good! I can't remember anymore but hope you enjoy your holiday as much as we did! Merci Cédric !
Wow! What a fabulous week we had! Such a beautiful area to explore and the house and pool were beautiful. There is so much to do. I'm sure we'll be back for more adventures, hopefully. We loved everything, especially the pool :)
We enjoyed our relaxing holiday at Le Tesquet which lived up to expectations. The accommodation was great with everything we needed>Pete was a genial host who was fun of good ideas and suggestions. The swimming pool was wonderful. Thank you.
We have had a lovely spent in this beautiful villa. We all felt very relaxed. The pool was very welcoming especially as it was such a hot week. The views are spectacular. We enjoyed the night markets in Duras and Monsegur. Would recommend the Terrasse restaurant in Duras. Thank you Frédéric for being so helpful.
Almost a month of rest at Château Seyches, enjoying the serenity and silence of the countryside. We love old stones, which tell a piece of French history and Château Seyches did not disappoint us. We were very happy to spend our holidays and to relax here thanks to the silence of the countryside. All the best.
We had a wonderful holiday here in glorious Sarlat. The house is perfect with beautiful furnishings, well equipped kitchen and amazing showers. The pool was just what was needed after a long days exploring the wonderful sights of the Dordogne (Gouffre de Padirac being a highlight) The location of the house is perfect, walking distance into town yet very peaceful surrounded by a beautiful mature garden. We hope to return next year. Thank you Jackie and Geoff for a wonderful holiday.
Very comfortable gite with friendly and helpful yet unobtrusive hosts. Lovely pool. Just 10 minutes drive to excellent boulangerie and general store.
