Absolutely divine residence. Fantastic well equipped kitchen. Glorious grounds and Jennifer was on hand to help everything from finding a great beach bar to making the reservations. Could not have enjoyed our stay more.
After many weeks of uncertainty, our decision to drive down to the Loft du Vigneron has been vindicated by a superb week. Thank you so much for all that you have done to make our week so memorable; especially prior to us leaving the UK. Your e-mails and your flexibility made us have a sense of connection before we had met you both. We have appreciated all the small touches that have made our stay easier - from the notes, welcome pack, advice, booking restaurants, etc. A good life is made up of special memories. The house is amazing. You feel at home on holiday. The house is decorated with care and well kept. The pool is great and very clean. It's the third time we visit the house and we will return again. Thanks to the nice owner. The best time of the year.
We had the most amazing time everything laid on for us on arrival a beautiful stunning property for all the family. One week was not enough but special thanks to both the housekeeper Vicki and our gardener pool maintenance guy John they were extremely nice and nothing was too much trouble. Golf five minutes away was a fantastic birthday treat a beautiful course along with tennis at the golf club an amazing holiday no faults what so ever absolutely would recommend 10 out of 10
We had a very good stay, peaceful and surrounded by nature in an area full of charm. It is an ideal place to rest and recharge your batteries and also discover this beautiful region. Our hosts were very welcoming and available. We recommend this place!

This is the easiest and most satisfying review we've ever written. Quite simply, Mark and Gary are two of the warmest and thoughtful people we have ever met and they have created the most wonderful home in the perfect rural location that it almost seems too good to be true... but it isn't. Everything about La Charmante Distillerie encourages you to unwind and relax... whether it be the sumptuous and luxurious interior spaces, the pool and adjoining terraces giving shade and privacy or the surrounding woodland and rustle of the leaves on trees in the gentle cooling breeze. Early mornings and evenings were our particular favourite as we would just sit and listen to the silence whilst enjoying an espresso or cold Pineau. It was truly idyllic. Our daughters, aged 12 and 14 years old, were so happy playing in the pool for hours or relaxing on the terraces and in their own private snug that has been beautifully created. We would love to keep La Charmante Distillerie as our own little secret and not share it with anybody, but of course we can't. So regretfully we have to tell anybody that asks that we have found the perfect destination with the perfect hosts. C'est magnifique.
THE LOFT! - Undoubtedly the best accommodation we have ever stayed at in France. A great concept realised in every detail. Wonderful hospitality on our arrival and throughout our stay. Your new B&B concept is beyond our imagination and will be utterly unique on completion. We had a pleasant stay in a very quiet village. Spacious and very well equipped house. Magnificent region with grandiose sites. Thank you for the excellent welcome you gave us.
I have had one of the best holiday ever here. The weather was perfect and the pool cooled us down and provided a great source of entertainment. The beds were so comfy they got us ready for the next day. The bakery only a few minutes walk from here provided some delicious fresh bread each morning.
Just wanted to let you know we arrived at the restored watermill yesterday and it is fantastic, thank you so much!
An incredible place. We rented this large and beautiful house for two weeks and we did not regret it: the calm, the view, the large swimming pool and the comfort gave us a dream stay. I highly recommend.

From fresh pastries in the morning to a delicious meal at "Le Pourquoi Pas", you have gone above and beyond - and that, combined with the comforts and surroundings of the villa, is what has made this holiday so special. We all loved the comfort of the beds and quality of the linen, the faultless hot water supply and how clean the pool was. This villa really works, allowing us to have a stress-free holiday! It seems but a moment since we arrived two weeks ago, but we have had a lovely time. Thank you for your hospitality and wonderful company. What a pity we couldn’t come in June, but we are optimistic about next year. It feels much safer here in France than it does in England - we saw much more of Rieux than we have before, and have had some splendid meals. Our favourite is definitely l’Abbaye de Fontfroide, though Relais de Chantovent comes a close second. Until next June.

We had a really pleasant holiday in the villa and enjoyed the swimming pool and the view from the garden in particular. The air-conditioning is fantastic! We found the bedrooms large and spacious and appreciated the fact that they were all ensuites. Thank you!
Somewhere special. From the moment we arrived at Le Manoir des Fouilloux we knew it was somewhere special. The attention to detail in every little corner of the beautiful and spacious house and grounds are the result of great vision and an enormous labour of love by its delightful owners Ian and Hugh. Le Manoir exudes a classic, elegant style, with some fun and quirky touches and is luxurious throughout, whilst also allowing you to feel truly relaxed and pampered. You are really spoilt for choice with so many quiet corners to sit, read, relax, snooze, chat and drink rosé as well as several areas to enjoy sunny or shady breakfasts, long lunches and suppers. With a 10 and 13 year old in tow and temperatures of up to 37 degrees, we spent a large part of our time around the stunning pool Hugh and Ian have created. Not wanting to be too lazy though, there are plenty of things to do very close by – kayaking, tree top climbing and river swimming can all be done from St Aulaye and Aubeterre is also well worth a visit. Ian and Hugh are the most thoughtful and considerate hosts and should be rightly proud of the tranquil haven they have created. This was quite possibly the best family holiday we have had and we hope to return one day to enjoy it all over again! Thank you all.
This beautiful villa in the middle of the vineyards had every comfort imaginable. The heated pool was a dream. We would also like to mention the exceptional cleanliness. The hosts do everything to ensure that you feel comfortable and can enjoy a pleasant holiday.
For the last 10 years, a whole group of friends and now growing amount of children have been going on holidays. We found Mas de la Rivière by chance by doing a search for 'a big house to rent in France'. Well the house is huge! We were so pleased and extremely surprised to see how much space they were when we arrived. The owners were away but we were greeted buy lovely girl where everything was and how everything worked. The house is child friendly with a huge swimming pool (with a slide). A huge trampoline, climbing frame / slide / swings and table tennis. There is enough bikes for all the kids to ride around the gardens and woods around the property are vast. We were told to help ourselves to their fruit and vegetables. The kitchen was really well equipped with lots of child friendly stuff like cups and plates etc. The rooms all had ensuite bathrooms and were extremely comfortable with good mattresses and fans in all the rooms. Mid week the lovely cleaners came and changed all the bedding and towels and cleaned all the bathrooms. The house has Wi-Fi throughout with meant that some of us could work if needed. And of course browse Facebook and Instagram.
