We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Maison Labarde, it was a very well equipped property with a first class swimming pool and well maintained garden. Jean and Martin the owners made us feel very much at home and we were entertained by the very friendly dog Tanner.
What a lovely place to spend two weeks relaxing and enjoying each other’s company, the views from the table are a wonderful backdrop for every meal and the swimming pool has given hours of fun for the children and adults alike. Nyons market on a Thursday and Saturday was great with lots of variety and wonderful hustle and bustle. We would love to visit another time.
We have loved every minute of our time at Le Malardier. The home and its location are wonderful with everything we needed for a truly memorable stay. Thank you Richard and Gay for sharing Le Malardier with us. Until next time...
Absolutely delicious property in a beautiful part of the world. The property is very well maintained and rustic. I can recommend to any group planning a stay in the Dordogne. Our stay was in mid April when the weather started to improve. 26 degrees on our last day, perfect!
It has been 6 years of trying to get to stay here but eventually we did it and it was worth the wait. The owners were so kind and helpful. Providing super cheeses, wine, early morning deliveries. And all of that before even mentioning the beautiful house :) Everything was amazing except for the canicule, 42°C (phew!) but the pool saved us, it was amazing also. Many thanks for a load of super memories.
We were traveling with our 3 children. The house is even more beautiful than the photos. We ate all meals when we were home outside on the terrace. The pool was fantastic. The wonderful windows open to the perfect temperature outside. It was an immediate sense of relaxation. You can walk to town, the Roman Ruins, lake and the asylum where Van Gogh stayed. Town is charming and chock full of things to do. Wednesday market throughout town was a blast for all of us. Great restaurants, 2 artisan chocolate makers!
If / when we return to continue exploring this lovely area of France, we would hope to be able to stay in 'The Loft'. Russell and Karen have been very welcoming and helpful, but unobtrusive and nothing seems too much trouble. Perfect hosts! Sad to be leaving after only a week.
We would quite happily live here - need we say more. Thank you. Will be back.

We were a group of 7 adults and have had the most fabulous week in your villa. It is so unusual for a villa to work on every level, but yours really did. So much space – and so very well thought through with absolutely everything you might need supplied. And yes – far better than the pictures suggested. We greatly appreciated the cheese + wine on arrival – the bread + pâté through the week – and of course the meal at La Tour, which was just amazing! We made good use of the bikes (coldly wet!) and made our way to Montady a few times (a lovely ride on the cycle path). We visited Béziers, Carcassonne + Minerve – but most importantly – we were able to relax + chat and laugh! Thank you Philippe. What a great week.

We have all loved our stay here. Wish we had booked 2 weeks. Very traditional but you have provided all the modern amenities needed, with out compromising that gîte feeling. Hope to return. enjoyed afternoons in the pool and watching the amazing sunset from the driveway. Enjoyed the live entertainment in the square of Verteillac outside Le Calice bar. Must visit the beautiful town of Brantôme.
Stylish, well-equipped 'home from home' house in a great location. Narbonne is a delightful town with many good facilities. The pool and outside is a real bonus. We had a very good stay.
A truly wonderful family week in the sun! La Cigaliere met all of our needs and expectations. The layout and facilities allowed both togetherness and the odd moment of seclusion. As we have only scratched the surface of the region, I am sure we will be back. La Panouille (local pizzeria) was a great hit. Twice! Thank you and with our best wishes.
We absolutely loved being here. The home you’ve created is a beautiful entity, with such thought at every turn, and the surrounding gardens have a tremendous sense of peace. Thank you for all the well-planned details, and the delicious tart that awaited us (and therefore an introduction to the most incredible boulangerie!). Our stay at Le Mas de Combet was fantastic. We had a warm welcome at our arrival, the house is perfectly situated in the countryside. It is very quiet with a very nice view on forests and fields. The swimming pool is big and clean and although the weather wasn’t very hot, the pool was perfect. Our host has given us ideas and indications about what to do in the area and has cared about us during the stay, offering his help and assistance, even with fresh bread! We definitely recommend this house and would love to stay there again, whenever possible!
Fabulous home in a beautiful location This was easily one of the best holidays we have had. The house itself is beautiful, it's been refurbished to a high standard from the waterfall showers in the high spec bathrooms to the large range in the kitchen to the cosy decorating in the bedrooms. The back garden has a lovely private in ground pool to cool off in and the surrounding patio has loungers to sunbathe in and is surrounded by pretty landscaping. There are endless beaches and historic towns to visit within short driving distance but you will be equally as content not leaving the house. The village is lovely, it has a couple of pubs and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk from the house, along with boulangeries, a butchers, green grocers and a supermarket. Markets every other day in the square. The house is within a stones throw of it all which we found so handy. Terry was always available should you need any assistance and was very thoughtful and considerate, as was his housekeeper agent Paul. I can't say enough about this property, it was fabulous in every way!

We have had a a relaxing week in this lovely gite. Madeline and Alan are great hosts. Respect your space but on hand for advice, local knowledge and a chat. We enjoyed kayaking on the Lot, exploring the local area on our bikes and enjoyed using the lovely pool each day (our son's favourite part!). We loved our visit to the Latour-Marliac for a great lunch and a lovely walk around the gardens and amazing water lilies. On our last night we had a great meal in the fish restaurant 'Blue Marine', Villeneuve-sur-Lot. We also had a nice meal in the week at 'La Commonderie' at Temple-sur-Lot. A great holiday. Thank you. Hope to visit again.

Had a wonderful week with friends in the magnificent Château Velouse. A lovely place to relax (by the heated swimming pool, in the sumptuous rooms and the very well appointed kitchen - not to mention strolling round the extensive grounds!). Hosts Phil and Claire could not have been more welcoming and have provided copious notes about things to do and places to see. Such was the relaxed atmosphere (and the heat!) we hardly felt the need to leave the château. Our suite was so grand, that it was even hard to leave the bedroom!
The unfortunate thing about writing this note is that it means we have to leave8 Thank you for a wonderful stay in beautiful surroundings. We were blown away by the stylish and lovingly-renovated accommodation and enjoyed spending our time here very much. We had a wonderful stay at Villa du Château. The location was excellent—peaceful and quiet, with breathtaking views in every direction. The interiors were charming, and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The views were spectacular, and we especially enjoyed having breakfast outside in the sunshine every morning. The property is also ideally located, with cafés and bars just a short walk away, and a supermarket only a few minutes’ drive away. Claire met us just a few minutes from the property to make sure we found it easily. He gave us a very warm welcome and took the time to show us around the house, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a fantastic stay in a truly beautiful setting and would happily return.
