One of the greatest holidays of all time! We could not have had a better week in this magnificent chateau - so perfectly equipped for chill and fun with days by the pool and meals on the terrace. We never felt the need to leave other than the inevitable rosé top-ups - we ate and drank like kings and queens. Some very fond memories to last us until our next visit - we hope!
Have had a great two weeks here in your wonderful house. Very spacious and well-appointed, tasteful and comfortable. Boys have thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We have appreciated tranquility and privacy. We have enjoyed exploring the area and sampling the local cuisine. Restaurant recommendations include Hotel-Restaurant du Château in Campagne, Auberge Médiévale Audrix and for rustic but delicious farmhouse cuisine - Auberge Rebeyrotte near Pressigirac Vicq. La Barde is much more than a holiday house - a real home beautifully decorated, very comfortable and clean and with a spacious, well equipped kitchen which was a pleasure to cook in. The host made us feel really welcome and went out of her way to provide everything we needed from the clear maps she sent to help us find the house to finding out about kayaking for us and even bringing us plenty of extra games and dvd's when the rain came down on our second day. In spite of the weather we really enjoyed the pool in its beautiful setting and the boys enjoyed playing football in the meadow. The gardens are beautiful and we enjoyed exploring and walking through to the lane and up to the small bar in the village. We hired bikes which were delivered and picked up and it was a great way to explore the surrounding countryside and villages. We all hope to go back next summer, there is so much in the area still to see though if the sun shone I don't think we would want to leave the garden and swimming pool! Thank you for a really memorable holiday.

Superb property tastefully renovated. Old-world charm and modern comfort. The owners take great care and the satellites of Saint-Émilion are within reach.
It is true what the other reviews have mentioned - the photos do not do it justice - the accommodation is huge and the living area is simply gorgeous. The location is perfect, completely silent and peaceful, yet not too far from the boulangerie, activities and local towns. Debbie and Rupert were so welcoming, we immediately felt at home. There was no problem too small and Debbie helped us to book local activities and dinners out. It was the break we had needed for so long, thank you so much.
The villa was a great place to stay. We have been renting villas for nearly 20 years now and this is the first time ever that we didn't use a car. So near the airport, so near shops, restaurants, the sea, the train station for days out to Nice and Antibes. And the villa itself was lovely - it was more spacious than we expected. Moreover at 30 degrees the pool was marvellous. Only complaint - a week was too short!
Great stay in Margon, Helen is very responsive and available. We had 2 babies and the equipment (high chairs and cots) was available. I would definitely recommend this place to relax and visit the area. Thanks again to Helen for her trust.

Loved our stay at L'Escapade au Lac, balcony a lovely spot to relax, pool was handy to cool down and interior nicely finished. Plenty of amazing places to visit.

Thank you for opening your extraordinary home to our extended family. Our holiday at Château Périgord surpassed all expectations. The beauty of the area and of your home are perfect compliments. We enjoyed shopping the local markets and cooking together in the inviting kitchen. We loved our time spent in the pool and playing badminton, as well as the time simply enjoying our pleasant surroundings and views. We explored prehistoric caves and Médiéval villages, we tasted wines of the region, visited famous châteaux, took canoes down the Dordogne river and always ended the day eager to return and enjoy Château Périgord.

Amazing space of the house led to us having the best family holiday ever for 9 adults and three young children. The outdoor areas are equally fantastic, the pool, Japanese garden with pizza oven was greatly appreciated and we would love to come back and see our host Katie again.

We have just returned from a wonderful 3 weeks at La Fontaine. Your property is set in such a beautifully tranquil location and you have done it out so tastefully. We also appreciated that you are so trusting of people who rent it. Furthermore, we very much valued help from Marjorie and Dave with a couple of minor problems. Obviously, we are now subject to the UK's quarantine restrictions, but we feel this is a small price to pay for the lovely time we had. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at La Fontaine.

A superb holiday villa that has the WOW factor. Great swimming pool and poolside area with large grassed area for games such as badminton and croquet for which the equipment is provided. Lovely quiet location with good facilities and things to do a short drive away. Would definitely stay again. Owner very helpful.
We had a wonderful holiday here in glorious Sarlat. The house is perfect with beautiful furnishings, well equipped kitchen and amazing showers. The pool was just what was needed after a long days exploring the wonderful sights of the Dordogne (Gouffre de Padirac being a highlight) The location of the house is perfect, walking distance into town yet very peaceful surrounded by a beautiful mature garden. We hope to return next year. Thank you Jackie and Geoff for a wonderful holiday.
The apartment was super clean and has everything you need. The view is even better than the photos! The location is wonderful - walk to everything. Beach, pool, grocery, water sport activities, marina, tons of restaurants. The ourdoor deck is such a nice treat. The kitchen has all the things you'll need for cooking. High end appliance, everything is new. Washer/dryer was very helpful. The infinity pool view is stunning! Safe place and very private. I didn't want to leave! First time to the French Riviera and hopefully not the last. Dream vacation!
Couldn't have asked for more from La Barde or its owner. La Barde was tranquil, comfortable and had everything you would need for a family holiday. The kitchen was so well equipped, it was amazing, the bedrooms were spacious and beds comfy. Everywhere was decorated beautifully and furnished thoughtfully. There was so much space throughout the house and gardens that even as a large family you would be able to find a quiet spot for some peace. The pool had a great shallow area for the toddlers, the garden was great for exploring. We will be returning next year without a doubt! Thank you!
