Our stay was completely amazing. The views around the house are breathtaking and the house itself was a delight. We enjoyed many swims, BBQs, games and film nights. Thank you so much for hosting us all, we are all hoping we’ll return some day soon!!
This has been our first villa holiday and you have certainly spoilt us for the future! We don't know how Maison Albarels could be bettered. You have done a fantastic job in converting your old family home into such a lovely villa. Many thanks for your hospitality, especially your wine and juice on arrival and your lovely cherries - and also for trying to sort out the TV for us to watch the World Cup in English... Even if England were rubbish! We loved Carcassonne - we went once by car and once by walking along the Canal du Midi at Pezens. Also Château Pennaultier - a mini Versailles - was impressive and helpful staff in the restaurant / shop. Special mention to the lovely lady in the shop next door, always smiling and helpful even if our French was a bit limited!
What a beautiful villa decorated to a wonderful standard. The pool is just what you need at the end of a hot day. Philippe was so attentive and you cannot ask for a better host.
We have been coming to the south of France for over 20 years and Maison Theron was the best we have stayed in. The decor, furnishings and bedding were such good quality, we felt like we were staying in a boutique hotel! The local housekeeper did an amazing job as the house was spotless when we arrived. Thank you so much we will definitely be back!
It is beautiful and absolutely perfect for our needs. We also loved the village and the restaurant. We have stayed in some lovely houses in France but yours is definitely the best. We will be in touch when we next head to France!
We loved staying in your beautiful home. The facilities, garden, decor and views were stunning. Frederic has looked after us so well. We have taken long country walks, visited local villages and markets. We went to Les Eyzies for tones of incredible caves including Rouffignac. Perfect family retreat First time visiting Charente and we could not have been happier with La Charmante Distillerie. It was ideal for my grandparents with bedrooms on the ground floor and easy walking to a beautiful terrace and pool. The Gite is located in a forest and the views are stunning. The focus on sustainability was good to see, especially all the fruit trees and herbs for cooking. Mark’s attention to detail was superb and he was so helpful with recommendation and local knowledge. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend as a tranquil getaway.
We had the most relaxing and wonderful stay at this property. Julian and Pascal made us feel very welcome, gave us all the privacy we needed but were on hand if we had any problems. The house is charming and quiet with a beautiful orchard and quite possibly one of the nicest pools we've ever had! One of the highlights for us was watching the bats come out at night. We would love to return one day.

We had a wonderful week in your most charming house. The weather has been perfect and our two and five year olds have made the most of the your swimming pool and lovely garden. We would love to return again soon!
We needed a break away from it all to decompress and chill. We came across La Charmante Distillerie via a recommendation and it completely exceeded our expectations. The kids were away from their devices playing boules, garden football, badminton and even building sand castles. Then cooling off in the pool with lots of pool games to entertain them. Most memorable of all was the welcome! Mark and Gary are amazing hosts. The welcome to their gorgeous holiday home was so genuine as was their hospitality- just at the right level for us. We will certainly return and look forward to star gazing with the house telescope in the clear night skies Xxx

We had a wonderful holiday here, the garden and swimming pool area is a real gem and the surroundings are beautiful. We enjoyed visiting the markets in Nyons and Vaison la romaine, the Roman ruins in Vaison and Sault and the cave paintings at Chauvet-pont d’acr are astonishing, we also enjoyed the local wines, it was very special drinking Audrey Latards wonderful wines knowing they are from the vines at the end of the garden, Thank you.

May 2024 A lovely well presented place to stay with everything you need in a cozy, clean house. Pool was lovely and heated for us even in early May. Close to Carcassonne and loads of nice local walks. Peaceful village.

We've had another wonderful stay at Laserre gite. It has been our 3rd stay here and we love the gite, the surrounding views, the pretty villages and lots of good restaurants. Pete and Kate have been superb hosts and we could not have asked for anything more. We will be back next July.
We have just finished a two-week family trip. The house was simply great! Excellent facilities and the air conditioning in the rooms is a real life saver. The property is eccentric! And there are so many small terraces and places outside where we found that we never sat. The location is great for day trips and we enjoyed swimming in the pool after a busy day. We were a group of several generations and everyone loved it! The neighbourhood is great and within walking distance. Local bakery, local fruit and vegetable stand as well as access to supermarkets. Thank you for your unforgettable stay!

We have been renting villas in the south of France for over 20 years and we just say that owner of Maison des Communes has been the best host we have ever had. From the very generous welcoming gifts to the twice weekly breakfast deliveries to the excellent meal in Pourquoi Pas, he could not have done any more for us. Masion is ideally located, has a lovely pool and sturdy bikes. We had great fun cycling through the vineyards to Montady, capestang, Cazouls and also along the Canal du Midi. A great location for a group of friends on an extended holiday. Merci beaucoup.
We had the most amazing time - thank you so much! A beautiful house in the most beautiful setting. We could happily stay for ever. Seven adults and a handful of kids between 1-12 and it was perfect. We are already planning to come back next year!
We were passing through for a weekend with friends. Christophe and his wife gave us a very warm welcome they are very attentive and attentive. We had a great stay in their house which is just beautiful.
What a gorgeous week we've had here ! Annie and John have been so welcoming - inviting us for a much-needed glass of wine on our arrival. Not to mention all the helpgul local knowledge and information. We have loved the pool, sunshine and glorious garden. We would recommend the lovely Piglet Barn and Annie and John especially. We rented the villa with 2 other couples and all had a fabulous time. The Eyermanns were wonderful hosts and provided us with a wonderful home base for a travels to Nice, Cannes, Monte Carlo and Antibes for day trips on short drives. We took walks to the sea every day and the 3 bakeries and food store plus many resturants are only minutes away. We made use of the heated pool every day and can honestly say we never ate a meal indoors. The weather was fabulous. This was an unbelievable vacation we will always remember!
