My family (of 4) have stayed at this house on many occasions since the children were babies and it is the perfect house to spend a holiday with another family. The house has a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere and is always welcoming and cool after a hot days sightseeing around the pretty countryside. The swimming pool and grounds are beautiful. What with badminton on the lawn, ping pong in the barn, lazy meals outside in the courtyard and relaxing by the pool, it is possible for the whole family to be well occupied all day long.
Thank you so much for your beautiful house and what was a lovely holiday! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves – everyone agreed it was one of the best houses we’ve stayed in. We will certainly keep you in mind for another trip – it’s rare we find a property that the whole family really love – so thank you once again!

My family and I enjoyed a fabulous week at Maison de Saint-Jean. The house is spacious and well equipped in a quiet location with easy access. To places of interest. It's got great beds. We particularly enjoyed the large pool which is well equipped with sunlongers parasols and BBQ. There is a good restaurant a short walk away. The house also has stunning views.
Very pleasant house and environment. Very friendly welcome. We had a great stay with two families of 4. A place to be recommended for a relaxing vacation.
We have so enjoyed our week here in our very own secret garden. Who would imagine there would be such a magical place waiting for us, just a second from the road? After many moments of uncertainty, it has been a huge tonic to relax in the sunshine in this beautiful garden and enjoy relaxing with our daughters. We haven’t explored very much beyond the Loft, but the countryside is beautiful, the wine and food delicious and the canoeing trip exhilarating and at times a little scary! Karen and Russell are the perfect hosts - always present but never in your space. They have created a perfect holiday home - immaculate and brilliantly equipped, and the fridge and cupboards generously filled to enhance your welcome and stay. We have enjoyed hours by the perfect pool and will fondly remember our 2021 say here. Hopefully we will be back! Thank you, Karen and Russell for everything.
We were so lucky to be able to stay in this beautiful house. So quiet in the garden, sipping drinks relaxing by the pool, yet the bustling town centre is only a few minutes walk away. The markets on Wednesday and Saturday are well worth a visit. Recommend Le Regent for food located in the old town. The house itself is charming, with everything you need for a perfect holiday. Even with the high temperatures outside, the house was lovely and cool inside. We had a fantastic time and hope to return again soon.
Our week in your beautiful home has gone far too quickly. We have really enjoyed the era and explored Uzes and its restaurants. There is still so much to do and we hope to be back. Many thanks for your welcome and discreet hospitality. The tortoises were a great distraction!
We, two couples, stayed the last week of June and the first week of July in La Picholine. We found modern comfort in an authentic environment in the well-equipped holiday homes Maison Carrée and Joie de Vivre. You can rightly say that you enjoy life here. Privacy, beauty, friendliness, a lovely swimming pool, the beautifully maintained gardens... it all comes to you here. And what we also appreciated very much: we arrived in a house where the basic necessities were present (such as coffee, tea, herbs and olive oil) and a nice bottle of wine and delicious (home-made!) cake were ready for us, which made us feel really welcome. Moreover, the area is also very attractive. From the tranquility of the domaine you drive to the liveliness and versatility of Avignon and Villeneuve and for example to Orange. The markets are very charming in the smaller towns nearby and there is also no shortage of nice restaurants. We really had a wonderful time, certainly also because of the friendliness of the owners.

We have had a wonderfully relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable two weeks at this beautiful gite. It has been fantastically and sensitively renovated both inside and out. The pool is an absolute joy to sit by and relax, read and take in the scenery! Also, Pete has been an excellent host, a mine of local knowledge. We enjoyed visiting Monpazier, Issigeac, Villereal and Sarlat.

Your attention to detail from the information provided before our stay to the provisions you provided in the Loft to your availability during our stay have been second to none. Also, the thoughtful and pragmatic precautions you have taken in light of Covid-19 served to put our minds at ease and helped us to thoroughly enjoy our time in this wonderful part of France. We are a family from 3 to 78 and thoroughly enjoyed staying at Château Périgord this week. We were fascinated by how beautifully it's renovated and decorated. All couples within our family had a nice room to stay in and the beds were good. The flowering garden, with fragrant lavender and refreshing swimming pool were a real joy. The kids played jeux de boules on the gravel, football on the perfectly trimmed lawn and spent many hours in the pool. We preferred cooking our own meals in the large Médiéval style kitchen (as we all like cooking) and had dinner at a long table at the courtyard. Château Périgord has so many places to sit and to enjoy the atmosphere and beautiful features and games to play that there was no need to do many trips elsewhere. We cycled in the area and did some jogging up the hills followed by cooling down in the pool. Thank you for a fantastic and relaxing stay!
We have spent a short yet sweet time in Maison Saint-Julien. It was a perfect place to stay and we couldn’t ask for much more! Main highlights were chilling by the pool and enjoying a dusk on the top deck. A drink in the little bar on the town square was perfect.
What a week at Château Richelieu, where we were fortunate enough to get married in front of 90 of our closest friends and family! To say it was an amazing experience and venue would almost be doing it a dis-service! It's hard to put down in words just how perfect our big day was at Château Richelieu. It would be very difficult to beat as a venue for a wedding and we would not have had our day anywhere else in the world. Our hosts could not have done any more for us. The support before, during and after the wedding has been above and beyond. Honestly, cannot recommend Château Richelieu highly enough and we will definitely be returning with friends / family for another visit.
This was our first holiday with our girls aged 2 years and 9 months. They had an amazing time! What a welcoming, beautiful place this is. Thank you so much for opening your home for us to share. It was the perfect place for our extended family to be together. Thank you for this fabulous experience.

Enchanting character house, with fabulous views making it difficult to leave, thank you for allowing us to share a real home from home. A really well equipped kitchen making it a great place to buy the local produce and wine and enjoy the benefits of staying in and soaking up the relaxing atmosphere. A day out driving through Beaume de Venice and Gigondas with the views of the Dentelles de mont Mirail was a highlight of our week. The market at Vaison la romaine was good fun, The wine at the Domaine Vallot (next door) was excellent as was the local bakery in Nyons. All in all a great week and thank you,

Thank you for such a blissful week with you! We have spent many happy hours enjoying your beautiful garden and pool, while exploring the surrounding countryside on our bikes has been idyllic. Highlights have definitely been visiting château Azay le Rideau, Beauval zoo (an hour and a half by car) and a wonderfully relaxed lunch down by the river at La Route du Sel. There is everything you need in the house, including BBQ lighters! It was like staying in a hotel with plush towels and soaps ready for us. Local auberge was very relaxing and served great food. Well worth a stay.
Lovely villa, boys enjoyed the pool and the garden! Had great trips to Montpellier and Carcassonne. Visit Pézenas on a Wednesday evening and visit all of the artisans stores! For beaches the long stretch between Sète and Agde is very quiet.
We did indeed have a fantastic time all 13 of us, a great place for a large family with small children, the owner was charming and all went well.
