We had a great time in Le Manoir de Monflanquin - a fantastic property!
Calm location with beautiful views. My wife and I stayed at this villa for a week in mid-June. The villa is nicely decorated and has a well equipped kitchen, nothing is missing. We stayed at the pool house which has a very nice bedroom and direct access to the large back garden and a little terrace for a romantic breakfast. The location is very calm with beautiful views, close to a lot of nice villages and 5 minutes from a golf course. The caretaker who welcomes you is fantastic. A great experience and we will come back!
Had the most wonderful two weeks here in your beautiful house. So much to do, beautiful pool, lovely spots to relax with a glass of rosé... Everything we could have hoped for. Thank you!
Had a lovely time at Manoir Altheas. Oliver's Travels provided excellent directions and information about the house and location. The property manager, Beatrice, is wonderful. I was able to obtain a friendly and reliable taxi driver who took me wherever I wanted to go. The local restaurant (the only one in this tiny hamlet!) serves good traditional food. Do be aware that the steps to the upstairs and main part of the house are steep and winding. Better to travel lightly!
Tortoise name suggestions:- Sherman Victor Esio Trot (anagram for tortoise + book +TV show!) Sheldon (The Big Bang Theory TV). We have enjoyed a wonderful week in your stunning house. Mostly enjoying the weather and pool! We have seen the red squirrel, lizards, water vole and many birds. It's so peaceful and beautiful, we will miss it.
This must be the perfect summer holiday Villa for a small family. As a couple we were joined by some friends for part of our stay and we had a great time in the sun. The O 13 Clochers restaurant in Monteton is under new management and serves superb food. Hostellerie des Ducs good quality- and the restaurant in Seyches is incredible value. We are sure to return.
We just wanted to thank you for the bottle of local wine and to let you know that we had a very nice time at Villa Corbières last week. Also, it worked well liasing with Ian who was welcoming and very helpful. The house is great and the garden looked really nice.
Well maintained property, any problems rapidly sorted. Proximity of Leclerc a real bonus for the 8 year-old fetching bread in the mornings. A real relaxing holiday for three generations and would happily revisit. For Pure France (having used other of their properties) we would rate it 5 / 5.
Swimming in the sun at La Barde we experienced a luxurious time in the perfect place to be reminded of the most important parts of life - family, nature and love. It's so obvious that every corner of this house was built and is maintained with love. A perfect getaway in the hills of Lusignac.
Time seems to pass so quickly when staying in this lovely house in such a lovely place. We have enjoyed a glorious week with many happy hours in and around the pool with our children and grandchildren. And, we have enjoyed exploring – once again – this beautiful part of France. With many thanks to Linda and the other members of the Jouas team for their help with everything. A perfect week!
Perfect and amazing holiday with a breath-taking view. Our stay in Maison Celte was simply perfect. The house is wonderfully furnished and well equipped. The view is mesmerising and the pool perfectly refreshing. The kids and the adults had so much fun and we enjoyed every minute. The house is located near the small but very beautiful village Tourtour which allowed us to have some nice dinners out while enjoying the solitude of the house at the same time. The host is very helpful and responsive when having any questions. All in all, we were sad that we had to leave and we are surely going back.
We've had a fantastic week in your beautiful home with all its attention to detail. Thank you so much – the pool table has been a great novelty, the sports equipment and bikes have entertained us for hour. We’ve loved visiting the bastides and swimming in the lake and the Lot.
My family (of 4) have stayed at this house on many occasions since the children were babies and it is the perfect house to spend a holiday with another family. The house has a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere and is always welcoming and cool after a hot days sightseeing around the pretty countryside. The swimming pool and grounds are beautiful. What with badminton on the lawn, ping pong in the barn, lazy meals outside in the courtyard and relaxing by the pool, it is possible for the whole family to be well occupied all day long.
We really had an enjoyable holiday. The house was perfect for our needs and the garden was just a joy. In fact the actual is better than the pictures on the website. It was a perfect stay for us as we were looking for a quiet time with privacy. The location itself was perfect as it was close by the liveliness of the Mediterranean coast.
My family had amazing stay here. We have 2 young kids (aged 1 and 5) and the apartment was clean, secure, modern appliances (including washer/dryer), ocean view and beautiful infinity rooftop pool. The bedrooms were a good size, easy to use temperature controls air conditioning and black out shades. A crib and a high chair were available at the apartment. There is a large supermarket/everything store across the street and the apartment exits right on the beach boardwalk, so easy walk to the marina and beach restaurants. I hope we get to return soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maison des Cordeliers, it is the perfect location to enjoy peace and quiet after a busy day exploring. We hope to return!
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your fantastic home! After a warm welcome we managed to settle down to enjoy all the facilities and the actual location of this beautiful area. This is an updated and more comprehensive review of our stay in June at the wonderful Maison des Cordeliers in Sarlat. After a very long journey down to Sarlat from Calais via Orleans through some frankly biblical rain storms, it was a relief to arrive at such a welcoming home! The house was very cosy and had all the home comforts you would want. The beds were super comfortable (that's saying something from a fussy bed person) and there was plenty of storage for luggage. Kitchen and living area were again stocked with all you needed and the satellite TV was a bonus for the Euros! As the weather improved, we spent a lot of time round the lovely pool or when it got too hot the veranda was a welcome spot to get some shade and relax with a book. The air con was also massively appreciated! We had never stayed in this part of France before, normally heading to Provence or the Côte d'Azur, but the town did not disappoint. Beautiful medieval architecture, fabulous markets and lovely shops and restaurants. Sarlat is a real wonder and the fact it's an easy 5 minute stroll from the house is such a bonus. I can honestly say we had a wonderful, relaxing, break at Maison des Cordeliers and would be delighted to stay again the next time we find ourselves in the Dordogne.

A truly lovely place and charming hosts. The kind of secret tingle you get when you stumble on a gem didn’t leave us all week. The photos don’t do it justice and we felt completely at home. Nothing but the sound of birdsong and laughing children and the sight of a deer in the extensive gardens were very special. In a glorious part of France with countless places to stay this is definitely one not to miss.

Unforgettable. My husband and I arranged to come to the Chateau as it has enough bedrooms for all our family - four children, their partners, and grandchildren, making 14 in all. The Maitre de was fantastic - a wine tasting in the wine cellar one evening, a meal for the adults in the dining room. He gave very valuable suggestions for places to go, and helped with any questions The donkey next door was another highlight. We were given carrots, when we collected pain au chocolat and croissant from the wonderful local shop, just up the road, so the children fed the donkey carrots. That shop has all sorts of quality cheeses and all we needed, even the basics. So to sum up, we all had a wonderful time thanks to all the team, the locals, and especially the donkey, Marius - who we all hope to make our ringtone!
We loved it here so much in 2022, we came back for 2024. Another fantastic stay - the villa is as special as we remembered it. More places discovered, more wine tasted and more memories made. Sete and Montpellier for this visit were a big hit. Kayaking down the Orb from Reals a family highlight. We will be back for a hat trick of visits as we love this villa!
We arrived at a large house that matched well and even more to what the photos showed. This is the first time we have found a vacation rental with so many dishes and kitchen supplies. As we were a large family with a few small children, this environment greatly favored the well-being of our stay. We sincerely thank our host for this generous sharing.
We have recently returned from our stay in Manoir Coutenson. The house was even better than we anticipated, truly wonderful! Beautiful private gardens, the covered terrace and swimming pool were perfect and we spent many evenings barbecuing and relaxing outdoors. The house itself is extremely comfortable and well equipped, we were so impressed with the kitchen contents, the owners had thought of everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. There is plenty to do in the local area, we hired boats, bicycles, went horse riding and wine tasting at a number of the local vineyards. Saint-Émilion was only an hour away, a memorable place to visit and a very easy drive. We would not hesitate to recommend this property as a holiday home, it's location, facilities and level of comfort were outstanding!
Steven and Bruce have a fantastic place and they really went the extra mile to make our stay totally enjoyable. We've been staying at places in France for 20 or so years and we always come back fairly pleased, but perhaps with one or two thoughts about how something or other could have been better, but I think this is the first time we've come back and been unable to think of anything that was less than perfect.
We enjoyed celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary here at Domaine de Nérige with family and friends. Awesome is the only word to describe the house and area.
We had a fantastic week at the castle! The weather was wonderful - cool enough to enjoy a fire in the evenings, but the perfect temperature for some outdoor time by the pool (or a glass of wine on the watchtower terrace!) The views are truly amazing. We loved the wine tasting at the on-site winery and had several dinners brought in by local vendors. The Property Manager helped us coordinate the catered dinners, kept us in wine, and had an answer to our every question. The castle is convenient to the airport in Paris, but also centrally located for our day trips to Chablis, Beaune, Dijon, Noyers, and other locations! Looking forward to returning for our third visit as soon as possible! Thanks for another memorable soul-healing vacation.
