Our third time at Belle Vue. We have now been fortunate enough the stay at Belle Vue on three occasions and each time it has proved the ideal base for both friends and family get together. The main attraction is of course the views that are beyond compare and weather permitting we always dined outdoors, enjoying leisurely breakfasts on the terrace, sunny barbeques at lunch around the pool and extended formal dining in the evening watching the hot air balloons drift past and enjoying the local vino by candlelight well in to the evening. Even if the weather turned uncooperative we were still left with elegant dining area to fall back on, and evenings seated in the sociable lounge which has a country house feel complete with traditional board games providing a nostalgic form of entertainment. The bedrooms are well appointed and provide ample space for 8 ‘party’ adults one occasion and family accommodation for the three generations of our family with sumptuous pool keeping the grand-children entertained for hours at a time. A perfect location for lively parties or slow sleepy family gee aways. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
The house / Loft is absolutely DIVINE - the whole family could actually live here! We've had a fantastic time in the pool swimming. Mack and Mabel are SOOOOO cute. We're going to miss France and especially the house and garden along with the four of you. I hope that other people choose to stay here and that you have a lifetime of happiness because a couple like you deserve a round of applause and a trophy!

What can we say? Our stay has been a truly perfect one with you, Connie, Peggy, Odin + the girls in Cluckingham Palace. We have loved every minute we have spent with you. We loved your gîte the minute we saw it on Pure France by Oliver’s Travels and it is even more gorgeous than we could have anticipated (if that’s possible). Everything about it, every little detail is thought through and a pure delight. As our hosts, we couldn’t have asked for more – you have been attentive, helpful and become our friends throughout our stay. Ronnie has looked forward every day to his new doggy pals dropping by to woof hello! Needless to say, we’re hoping to return next year for an even longer stay and we’ll miss you all and our lovely experience in the meantime. Thank you so much.
A fantastic holiday and would love to return. The night market at Lacapelle a real highlight as well as Parc en Ciel, kayaking at Vitrac and of course the pool.
Where to begin? Booked this wonderful house 10 months ago. Often looked at the pictures and thought can anywhere be so perfect... it can! The sheer joy of walking from room to room, spending entire days outside by and in the pool. Simple living in a sumptuous house which just keeps giving with it's character, beautiful art and furniture. Was this as perfect as I imagined? Absolutely. Would I come back? Without a doubt. Thank you so much Thierry and Véronique for making us so welcome in your beautiful house. We've thoroughly enjoyed a mixture of exploring and relaxing. Highlights have included the great week in Chauvigny (as well as exploring the medieval town), canoeing along a scenic stretch of the river at Angles sur L’Anglin, and exploring the châteaux. Afterwards, a day trip to Poitiers and an excellent visit to Futuroscope. We finished each day relaxing in the pool and playing boules. All in all, a wonderful week in a beautiful area.
We adored our stay at this charming renovated farmhouse, with views to keep in our memory forever. This house truly suited our family with our two sons, partners and grandchildren. The kitchen was excellent and overall the house had every facility we would look for, the pool and table tennis rooms were regularly in the daily family tournaments, that took place. Sitting outside at the covered dining table for breakfast and evening meals was a great pleasure daily. The swimming pool has sun for the majority of the day so keeps a good temperature for swimming and the steps enabled our grandson to build his water confidence. The Thursday market in Nyons is excellent and Vaison le romaine is full of history. Les Marquises is one of our favourite holiday experiences, great location and great house.
What an amazing week we have spent in your villa! We visited to celebrate Shona’s 60th birthday and it was the absolute perfect spot. We have had an amazing week here: sunning by the pool, reading in the wicker chairs, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, BBQing in the outdoor kitchen and drinking wine just about everywhere!! The villa is very well equipped with every kitchen supply you’d need, ample fridge space, excellent Wi-Fi throughout, fabulous pool and spacious bedrooms. Philippe was a wonderful host – helpful and quick replies to any questions. We loved our two breakfast supply drops, especially the personalised loaves and ginger cake! Thank you for arranging a wonderful dinner at La Tour in Montady and a lovely wine tasting at Saint-Chinian. Also the weather updates were helpful. Our family dog Ivy also had a lovely week here with lots of space for her to run around. Think the cats mentioned in previous entries wisely were more distant during her stay!! Thank you again for everything and we are already thinking about coming back!
We have had a wonderful relaxing week at Le Malardier. The house is stunning and photographs do not do it justice. We loved watching the sun rise, taking in the view with our morning coffee. The pool and pool house have been enjoyed by all. Leisurely lunches in the outdoor dining area and a game of boules in the evening. Many thanks to Richard and Gay who have been so helpful and superb hosts.

Ian and Hugh (and Stanley) have created something very special at Manoir de Fouilloux. Lovingly curated over many years, there are so many things to look at that it’s actually a marvel that we managed to spend any time by the beautiful pool or eat, drink and play games in any of the lovely outside space or barn. But, somehow we managed it. Simply a lovely place to stay. Full of character and charm. Don’t come here if you want a minimalist white box. Ian and Hugh were brilliantly helpful, welcoming, and friendly. Highly recommended, will look forward to returning.
A wonderful chateau. Thank you for letting us use your wonderful chateau we had a fantastic time and everything was perfect for our happy couple. Everything supplied by the wedding planner and the catering team was superb and the onsite representants and their team made everything run smoothly. Once again thank you very much!
We loved this place, which has magnificent views of Lake Annecy. Claude and Michelle were always very available to respond to our requests. A perfect experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maison Estephe and thought the village and surrounding area was one of the nicest places we have been in France. We have over the years been to almost every department in France but never to Pézenas. In fact we liked it so much we are considering a move from The Limousin to the Pézenas area. The house was charming and very comfortable indeed.
A fairytale home! Thank you for the most magical stay and making the Chateau feel like home (well a fairytale home!). The perfect setting for my 50th birthday celebration and memories for a lifetime.
We have been staying in gites and villas in France for many, many years and Mas des Rivailles is one of the best. Very clean, comfortable with everything in place for a lovely relaxing holiday. The pool was great but didn't get used as much as we would have liked due to the inclement weather we experienced for the two weeks we were there. The welcome pack was an unexpected surprise and much appreciated. Frédéric was helpful and informative as were our friendly neighbours (no English spoken) but it gave us a chance to practice our limited French. Lovely little villages to visit and good restaurants, Clement in Lauzun was a favourite. Fully recommend this property.
The house is beautiful - amazing views, wonderful pool, very comfortable beds. We had a fantastic time - didn't see as much of the area as planned - as everyone so happy playing in pool!
Château de la Ronde was fantastic, the family really enjoyed the holiday.
I fell under the spell of this beautiful, atypical residence. Its proximity to the Duras castle gives it a magical touch... There is all the necessary comfort for visitors and the bedding is quality. On one side of the residence, breathtaking view of the beautiful swimming pool and the valley and on the other side, magical view of the castle fortifications. I will not reveal any more and leave the pleasure to the next visitors of discovering the other little treasures that this house hides. The village of Duras is typical of small provincial towns with its beautiful and colorful local market. In the evenings, very good festive atmosphere.
Enjoyed a wonderful week with friends in this beautiful house surrounded by stunning scenery. Clare was welcoming and helpful and we couldn't have asked for more. Would thoroughly recommend and very much hope to return again.
We loved our stay in your beautiful home and the solitude meant that the children and young were able to be as noisy as they liked. We managed Mummy with help from James and Toby. We brought the van to fit all the aids Mummy needs to make life easier. Our home is rambling with stone steps so she is used to being helped around. We enjoyed the pool and spent most of our time in the pool area. Living outdoors is part of the joy of our visiting France at this time of year. The weather was dry at least and when the sun came out it was an added bonus. We left Mummy, Pandora, Henry and Emilia to go canoeing from Brantôme to Bourdeilles which was lovely and great fun. There are enough places of interest within half an hour's drive to keep us entertained but enjoyed coming back to Malardier for our afternoon swims. Thank you for a lovely setting for our holiday.
In terms of scores / feedback: Housekeeping: 5/5. The rooms were all very well prepared. Location: 5/5. Met our needs entirely. Peaceful and yet easily accessible. Accommodation and Comfort: 5/5. The house is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. The Aga was a joy to use. The bathroom was spotless. The fan in the bedroom was helpful. The garden (where we spent most of our time) is a wonderfully private space. The pool is a great size...the water was crystal clear all week.
Amazing time! Very fully equipped to spacious country house standards - plainly a labour of love. Situation quiet and well placed. Replete with indoor and outdoor sporting gear: darts, table tennis, bicycles, badminton, boules, large pool. All spacious well chosen and well built. A admirable project by a knowledgeable perfectionist.
We just wanted to say we had a wonderful time at the beautiful Richelieu home. Maybe the most beautiful and well appointed vacation rental we have ever had. The property manager, Dawn, was very helpful throughout our stay. We hope to come back again someday.
We have spent an enjoyable fortnight here in Bessan. The house was comfortable and peaceful. The weather has been beautiful during our whole stay, unlike it is in the UK! We enjoyed the neighbouring towns, especially Agde. We will remember this holiday and do not want to come back home this afternoon. Many thanks.
