The house worked very well for our 3-generation family of 5 adults and 2 children. The bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the lounge area is capacious, with a good tv and sound system. All the windows are protected by screens to keep the mosquitoes out. At the back of the house is a useful room with a washing machine and a large outside clothes line. The pool was excellent. The adults used it to cool down, the children played safely and grew in confidence in the water (with the reassurance of a pool alarm.) We had a 2-year-old with us, who mostly paddled in the shallow section. Shade was always available somewhere in the garden, either from trees or the canopy on the sun terrace. The garden is totally private, with a wooded hill to the left. We ate outside in the evenings, using spray and candles to repel the mosquitoes which seemed to be attracted to pale English people. The villa is very well located for visiting Cassis, Marseille and Aix. We also travelled to Arles, Avignon, Les Baux and Nice. The lake at Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon provided a swimming opportunity and some of us visited the waterfall at Sillans-la-Cascade near the beautiful village of Cotignac. We can recommend a boat trip to see the Calanques from the harbour in Cassis and La Ciotat is lovely. We mostly used a supermarket 10 minutes away by car in Greasque, which also has a good boulangerie. We found excellent cafes in Fuveau (Caribou) and La Bouillabaisse (The Coffee House). Aubagne has a large ‘out-of-town’ complex with a massive Auchan and a range of chain restaurants. We found a very good pizza van in Gréasque (although they do move around so Google Maps was not reliable). We were welcomed on arrival by Juliette, who also returned to clean the pool half way through our stay and to collect the keys when we left. She was very helpful in recommending places to visit.
Thank you for letting us stay in this beautiful houser. We were in need of some rest and quiet and this house was perfect for it. We enjoyed the beautiful nature, the lovely places nearby and the refreshing pool/ The house is very well equipped and has a the most amazing view! If we have the chance in the future, we'd love to return.
We just wanted to tell you that we really enjoyed the stay in your wonderful house. You have thought of everything to make it so nice and our daughter said that she had come to paradise... All the people that we met; Alan and Cathy, the pool and garden guys and the cleaning ladies were all so nice and helpful. Real assets! And the Rosé in the fridge... This was a very welcome gesture that we enjoyed after the long drive down. Thank you again for sharing your lovely house with us.
Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing two weeks. We have loved getting to know this part of France (and it’s wine!), playing boules in the garden and watching all the birds. We particularly enjoyed the Grand Cafe Occitane and the beaches at Leucate. Your attention to detail and the warm welcome made us feel immediately at home and we really appreciated the pool being kept so clean.
We loved our stay at Camirout. Beautiful setting, comfortable house, great swimming pool! We are going home completely zen and relaxed.
You have been incredible hosts, communication and recommendations were excellent. The house exceeded all of our expectations and we all had an incredible time making good use of all that was on offer! Stuart and I particularly enjoyed the table tennis which got quite competitive! We most definitely will be back again soon!
An absolutely fabulous villa, decorated and furnished inside and out to an exceptional standard. Perfect location with an amazing pool and relaxation area. Very efficient air conditioning. The advertising for this villa does not do it justice. Facilities like this are hard to find in a holiday rental.
A wonderful week in this beautiful house. Lots of memories. Our boys loved the table tennis and pool. Night markets in Quarante are a must. I hope we’ll be back x x
Vero and Thierry have made this farmhouse a very pleasant house to live in. We loved the different nooks and crannies for relaxing depending on the time of day: Pool house during the day for meals, Moroccan lounge for aperitifs all around a large swimming pool. Everything is functional, clean and nothing is missing. The bedding is of very good quality in all rooms. Boules and darts games, a huge garden. We were a family with children (7 people in total) who were also won over. We highly recommend their house and will definitely be back.
We have had a wonderful time in your very beautiful house! 2 weeks have gone by much to fast and we are sad to be leaving. Although the weather was not very sunny the last few days we swam every day. The pool is great and we will miss it. We visited Minerve, Carcassonne, Béziers, Narbonne and Lagrasse. Croissants every morning from the van at 10am, delicious! Love the decor and everything in the house, vintage design and you have great style. Hope to be back someday soon.
What a beautiful place. We were really happy to have some rest there. Your house is wonderful and the swimming pool is perfect. We have spent a very enjoyable holiday. Even if it was late in the season, we had 2 weeks of good weather and could even go to the beach. Very beautiful beaches! A fantastic stay. We loved Pézenas and often visited the town. We highly recommend the villa. It is really gorgeous and the host is very welcoming. We hope to be back soon.
Fabulous house on the edge of the village with magical views and absolute peace and privacy. We were thrilled to see so much wildlife, so many wonderful birds, butterflies, red squirrel and deer around the house. We flew into Limoges which is a tiny and very easy airport to manage. Car hire is just outside the exit, the roads are blissfully empty and the drive to Lusignac was a pleasure. We couldn't have had a better week.
Fantastic time in this great house and location. 2 weeks of rest, relaxation and fun with the kids and extended family. Thank you. What a wonderful place! So much for the kids to do - swimngs, slide, trampoline, swimming and may runing races, lots of yumy wines and cheese. Two scrumptious meals cooked by Tim and Ali. Very tempted to return next year! We spent 2 weeks at Mas Saint-Cernin. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. John and Lesley provided excellent information before our arrival about the property, the local area and very clear travel directions. There was even a welcome basket of essentials for our breakfast on arrival. We had a fabulous time and hope to visit again.
This house is even better than we remembered it - we feel so relaxed and at home here.

Fabulous house and grounds – loved it. Very high standard, cleanliness, and equipment. Ideal for 3 generations – children loved the playroom. Two catered meals – excellent and much appreciated. Very friendly and hospitable hosts couldn't do enough for us.
Absolute Heaven. My family, fourteen of us from 70 to 1 year, had a memorable and joyful two weeks at Manoir Alvère. The house and grounds are magical. An easy walk takes you into the village and there are many very good places to eat within an easy drive. The owner made the process of checking in and out easy; the caretaker Georges was onsite in case of any problems. I envy anyone who finds themself in this very special place!
We had a very good stay at La Ferme Éclaircie which met all our expectations. We were very grateful for the initial supplies ( tea, coffee, wine , orange juice, loo paper etc ) which make a huge difference. The information pack - which was really useful. The maps. And the house was delightfully furnished and well supplied. We loved the area.

The house is magnificent and very well equipped, for the kitchen or for activities, everything is planned for a good stay. The welcome is warm with very friendly neighbors. I highly recommend the Château des Grillauds for a peaceful stay in the Dordogne. We had a pleasant stay and the house is very well equipped. There is everything you need to have a great vacation with family or friends. We were able to have lunch outside to enjoy the garden and the swimming pool. We had the most magical week at the enchanting Château Mabrouke. A beautiful house with outstanding facilities set in a most stunningly unspoilt expanse of French countryside. With some gloriously grand rooms in the château, immaculate gardens and seemingly endless out-buildings, Château Mabrouke still had a wonderfully homely feel to it. We enjoyed days spent splashing in the pool, long lunches and drinks with a view. And a couple of nights of being cooked for and hosted by the lovely Martin and Philippa were an absolute treat. Visits to the nearby pretty towns of Foix and Mirepoix were lovely and other places to recommend include the stunning Montsegur and some interesting prehistoric caves near the charming town of Mas d'Azil. All in all a most heavenly escape. We look forward to returning.

We had a great time at the house - everything went smoothly. We also spent a fair bit of time exploring the general area although we always ended up back at the large table with a glass of rose taking in the view over the vines come end of day!
