Our holiday at La Charmante Distillerie was absolutely superb! Mark and Gary were superb hosts and made our experience incredible from the moment we booked until the moment we left! We will definitely return for another holiday, because it was by far the best place we have ever stayed. The attention to detail was brilliant, and we were made so comfortable from start to finish. They have put so much effort into making this an incredible holiday villa and they couldn’t do enough for us. It is 5 star+ in every respect. A beautiful villa in a quiet location with so much around to explore. Thanks Mark and Gary for making our family holiday one we will remember forever, and we will return soon to enjoy it all again!
Thank you so much for the most incredible week, we have made so many memories. Everything about the house has been perfect, such an easy space to relax in. We have enjoyed many days in the lovely pool and have also really enjoyed exploring the beautiful surroundings, including Saumur. We had a wonderful stay at La Maison Tolzac. The terrace with swimming pool is superb for enjoying the view over nature and getting enthusiastic about the sunset while drinking a glass of wine offered by our charming hosts. The gîte is also very beautiful and each room has a beautiful bathroom, which is particularly appreciable. However, I would especially like to thank Kim and her husband for their warm welcome and dedication. Top service :-)
Thank you so much for your hospitality this last week. Staying at the Loft du Vigneron is more a 5-star hotel experience than a typical rental property! We loved sitting out on the terrace at all times of the day and there were so many little touches that made staying here such a pleasure. You are great hosts - discrete yet friendly and so helpful when required. As for activities in the area, we particularly enjoyed Lastours and the Friday night pop-up tapas bar at the château. All the best for your new venture - we're sure it will be a great success!
We recently enjoyed a very memorable and enjoyable stay. This luxurious property was comfortable, well presented and very clean. The views from the property are exceptional and the horizon swimming pool is everybody's dream. The location provides good access to Saint Paul de Vence and to the surrounding region and thus is a great location to base yourself and to see the local features.
Wonderful stay over the Easter weekend with a group of friends. Amazing house that had everything we needed in the most stunning setting. Sandie was great to deal with, really informative and responsive and made us feel right at home. The wine store in the house with amazing local wines at unbelievable prices was a real bonus!
Back again! We loved our stay here so much we decided to come back and it did not disappoint. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed both local walks (marked maps provided at the house). Impressive thunder storms and lovely blue skies. Would recommend Castres, Revel and Hautpoul for local trips (all within 30 to 40 minutes drive).
After a really warm welcome, this place feels just like home! Meryl and Richard have been fantastic hosts, from the very first day arriving at the gîte and making us coffee after a long drive, to taking us to the nearby night market to experience the real France. The villa itself is beautiful and peaceful - couldn't ask for more and we have loved our morning visits from Poppy! A highlight for us was a visit to Sarlat-la-Canéda - the centre is truly breathtaking. On the way back stopped for a drink at Beynac - you can see the château on the hill whilst having a coffee on the riverside, watching people canoe past! We have loved it! We will be back!
The villa was just as described and was perfect in every way. We chose the villa because everything was on one level and the pool and terrace area were located very close to the main house. We had the most wonderful time and the arrangement of the bedrooms meant we had plenty of space to relax in. The BBQ area was well used. The air conditioning was welcomed during the warm Mediterranean nights. It was also the first villa we have stayed in where we were able to walk to the local town in order to buy our daily croissants. The service we had from Pure France and Philippe was exceptional. What a beautiful, well appointed home in a wonderful location. Despite the odd bit of rain we and our guests enjoyed our two week stay immensely. Thank you to the owners who were perfect hosts – helpful, friendly and on hand when needed, without encroaching an inch on our privacy. We could not have asked for more, either of you or of Domaine de Nérige. You have designed the perfect holiday home and we and our guests would have been happy to stay longer, much longer. I loved this holiday. I love sport so I sent most of my days in the gorgeous pool, I would practice my swimming and then float around and look at the blue sky. I loved the tennis court and spend hours practicing my forehand. The château is so pretty, it could have been made up. Any kid would love this place.

This is a very nice, quaint, clean and comfortable place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city! My son and I enjoyed our stay very much and the hosts are super nice and welcoming. Access to the house was easy. A really lovely place to stay.

This lovely rural farmhouse provided plenty of space for our extended family of 6 adults and 3 children (aged 13 and 4) to spend a relaxing week in a more peaceful area of the Dordogne. The pool was a huge hit with adults and children alike whilst the many outside areas allowed space for both sun or shade throughout the day. In addition to games described there are lots of toys for younger children including a new sandpit which ‘appeared’ whilst we were there. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful holiday in Montlaur. The house was fantastic and the pool a real winner with the kids especially.
This villa is beautiful. We had an exceptional week. Very modern hyper equipped with a very tasteful, high-end decoration. We were charmed by the villa. The owners are very nice. Very well located 15 minutes walk from the most beautiful village in France. We are used to renting prestigious villas. This one is undoubtedly in its place on the podium. I would even say on the highest step taking into account the kindness of Karine and Éric, the owners. We highly recommend!
We have had a fantastic, relaxing week here. The house is amazing and has everything you could need. Lots of great places to visit nearby. The children loved the pool and table tennis. Our hosts have been very helpful and welcoming. We would love to come back again.
A real oasis in lively Sarlat. So well located. Walk everywhere. Farmer’s market. Restaurant. Gorgeous, bustling village. Great pool. Great garden. Comfortable. Jackie is very helpful and caring.
The Garden Cottage is exactly as described. It oozes charm, character and good taste. It was spotlessly clean. The large swimming pool and patio area is beautiful, private and well maintained. The cottage is very conveniently located, being a pleasant walk or a very short drive to Thonac village. There one will find a good pizza restaurant / bar, a hotel with both a garden and indoor restaurant and a small supermarket. Two large supermarkets, pharmacy and petrol station are just five minutes drive away at Montignac. This is a very nice small town to visit and where one buys tickets for Lascaux. The cottage is perfectly situated to visit the numerous places of interest in the area and the owners have provided an information brochure of local markets, events and places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 week stay and found the owners discreet, charming and helpful. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending the property to couples who want a completely relaxing and comfortable holiday.
Thank you for a wonderful stay In your fabulous house, we spent a week exploring the town, fabulous Sunday market in Nyons, also held on a Thursday. We hired bikes @ E20 per day and played tennis and paddle in Nyons (booked online) we swam in the river nearby, The vineyards around the house are farmed by Domaine Tave, there Audrey La Tarde speaks English and is the real deal. We ran out of time to do all we wanted, ‘we will be back ‘.
This year we opted for a “green” vacation with 2 couples of friends and their children (in total 6 adults and 5 children) and were very happy with our rental. It’s never easy with the internet and what a great discovery on arrival: a huge, superbly renovated house. Great comfort in this beautiful stone building, in a very preserved natural setting. The rooms are magnificent and particularly large, the 2 mezzanine bedrooms were occupied by the children by adding an additional bed. The collective spaces are also very neat (comfort, decor) and pleasant to live in, special mention for the kitchen equipped with professional equipment, spacious and equipped with much more than is necessary. The pool is even bigger than it looks in photos. For the youngest children we closed it with the electric shutter, practical and efficient. The garden is ideal for a change of scenery and contemplation, the setting is absolutely beautiful. In the end we regretted having only rented for a week, the house is so pleasant that we wanted to stay there and relax but we will come back to continue discovering the Cévennes. In short, an excellent stay and a rental to recommend.
We thought this was the perfect setting for our extended family holiday. We had long lazy days by the pool, some nice days out to the bastide towns and alfresco dinners followed by games We rescued several frogs from the pool! There were plenty of distractions in the house for every age and we found the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Fabulous weather for two birthday celebrations and we found it to be a very peaceful and idyllic setting. Amazing house! We all made amazing memories and had a great time.
