If you like the charm of the old, you will be won over. We particularly appreciated the layout of the house and the exterior. The fact that the swimming pool is in the low garden creates both security but also that the house remains very calm when there is commotion at the swimming pool! We played the most memorable games of ping pong in the shade of the majestic cypress trees and the children spent hours illuminating the castle, the immediate proximity of which is magical.

We are a family of 5 with 3 teenage kids. From the first day, we settled in and found it very difficult to leave after two weeks. The owners have not only created a wonderfully rustic house, but it has been very well thought out, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for a family of 5. This is complemented by one of the best settings you could imagine - gently rolling hills set back from a quiet country road. Being a sporty family, we used the beautiful pool every day. Most private pools in France are under 10 metres, so we really appreciated the full 13 metres to swim some laps. Much to our delight, there was an outdoor badminton court and boules area. The big, flat lawn at the top of the property was the perfect place to kick some balls around. The surrounding area is a delight to discover. From limestone caves, to underground churches carved out of the hillside, to charming market towns, to river 'beaches' for cooling off, the area never seems crowded. All this, coupled with the exquisite food and drink from the region (at exceptional prices), makes this an area that the discerning tourist should not miss. We cannot recommend staying here highly enough. The owners, who live next door, are the perfect hosts. They never once intruded on our privacy, but were more than happy to chat and provide advice, if asked. We look forward to returning!
In the middle of the vineyards in the countryside is this wonderful house, with a heated pool and a whirlpool. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to indulge in culinary delights. Within a very short time (25 minutes) you can reach the beaches of Vias and Valras. Large cities such as Béziers can be reached in 15 minutes. The hosts were very friendly and we really appreciated the communication to learn a little more about the area and the people. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stop by again soon.
We had an absolutely lovely fortnight at Château Monjardin. Faultless. Please could you pass on our especial thanks to Colin and Sue. They could not have been kinder or more generous. I miss it already and will be sure to return, perhaps next year. All our very best regards.

Thank you so much for our lovely relaxing stay in your home. We have waited a couple of years due to covid and our boys (and ourselves) really enjoyed our stay. You made us feel so welcome and we have very muh enjoyed spending time in your garden watching regular visitors like woodpeckers, buzzards and barn owls, etc. We are already planning to come back and promise to visit more of the region. My family and I had a glorious 2 weeks at Maison Charvin. What a fantastic holiday we had. The directions to find the house were straightforward and easy to follow. The house was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need which was a very welcome relief after the long drive. As a keen cook, my partner enjoyed cooking up delicious meals for us throughout our time there. My children absolutely fell in love with the house (they each enjoyed having their own rooms!) and with the pool and didn't want to leave! Highlights from our holiday include: Walking around the beautiful walled city of Carcassonne Climbing up to the ruins of Château de Queribus, one of the Cathar Castles, set on top of one of the highest peaks in the Pyrenees. Breath-taking views and well worth the effort! A once in a lifetime meal at l'Auberge du Vieux Puits, a 3 Michelin star restaurant in Fontjoncouse. Only a 30 minute drive from Mason Charvin. La Franqui – what a fabulous beach. Lovely sea front restaurants and shops. Definitely worth a visit! The pool! The wine! And last but by no means least, Sharon. A fantastic host who continually went the extra mile to make sure we were enjoying our holiday. I cannot rate her highly enough and hope to one day return to Montlaur and Maison Charvin! Thank you, Sharon for sharing your beautiful home and for all that you did for us.
We had a wonderful stay at La Maison Tolzac. The house is perfect, the terrace is quiet and offers a magnificent view of the lake.
We were a group of 20 (5 families) and had a wonderful week! The rooms are very comfortable (aircon, great beds), the kitchen was perfect for a large group, the pool was large and clean (not even a bug in the water, thanks to the overflow system). Everything is nicely decorated and brand new. The location is just beautiful with wonderful sunsets. We had a lovely visit at the wine cellar of the domaine and did a wine tasting. We visited Saint-Tropez and the Pampelonne plage (1 hour drive), Cotignac (40 min), Île de Porquerolles by catamaran from Hyères (1h) and did canyoning in the Gorges du Verdon (2h drive). So plenty to do but you'll need to spend some time in the car. And last but not least : Thomas is a great host. He is always available and willing to help in every possible way.
Went to this beautiful holiday cottage for the second time. What a great experience again this time. We were warmly welcomed and our house felt like coming home again. Host and hostess Leo and Esther gave us great tips so that our holiday became a great experience again. The visit to Nîmes was impressively beautiful. I especially recommend visiting Avignon to everyone with its beautiful center and the cozy terraces around the market square. The swimming pool overlooking the vineyards is a pearl. The silence descends on you wonderfully in the evening. Truly unique. Thank you for another great holiday.
This house was fantastic! Inside it was like a show home, beautifully designed. The kitchen was the best equipped we have ever stayed in. The garden was well laid out with direct access to the shaded dining area, under the trees for shade and the pool. The views were stunning over the valley and the sunsets were breath-taking. A walk down to the dam is recommended where you can take adip in the river, too. We made trips to the sea which is circa 60 min and to local villlages. The local village is 5 min drive and has a friendly store well stocked, a café and newsagent. There is a litle van which pulls up at approx 10 am which sells bread and pastries. We would definitely recommend this house.

I just wanted to thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. It really is a little corner of paradise in a spectacular part of the world. We have been exploring, we spent the day at Abbaye de Fontfroide; followed by the Narbo Via Museum in Narbonne, finally ending up at the salt flats on the l'île Saint-Martin de Gruissan. Thank you again for the loan of your home and your many kindnesses.
For once, the house was better than the photos ! Quality and tasteful interior and magnificent garden. Well maintained pool. Lovely countryside walks nearby. Great local restaurants. Don't miss a visit to Minerve, a traditional Cathar town. A fabulous holiday.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Maison Labarde, it was a very well equipped property with a first class swimming pool and well maintained garden. Jean and Martin the owners made us feel very much at home and we were entertained by the very friendly dog Tanner.

A lovely family week in this perfect house in an idyllic situation on the edge of the charming village of Cucugnan. The house is well-equipped and the pool is fabulous! The barbecue and table-tennis also much appreciated. The house is a short walk into the village where we visited two bars and an excellent family -run restaurant (Auberge du Vigneron). Also enjoyed ‘Burger Friday’ at the bar. The village shop has all the basics. We also did a ‘degustation’ (wine-tasting) in the village and visited two of the nearby fascinating Cathar Castles – there is plenty to do in the area but the house is also perfect for relaxing. We will be back!
We have enjoyed a 2-week stay at Laserne gite. We were Pete’s first guests last year and our second visit has been as special as our first stay. Pete has been a delightful host, checking on us daily to make sure everything was OK. The pool has been such a delight in this hot and sunny weather. The highlights of our stay are the wonderful views from the gite and the tranquillity of furniture and fittings.
With grateful thanks for a very relaxing week in your lovely house. We really enjoyed the beautiful views and surrounding countryside; the sunsets were amazing. The weather was very kind to us with soaring temperatures, dips in the pool were most welcome.

A great week where 3 generations could spend time together relaxing around the comfortable farmhouse, great pool and expansive gardens. The house was very well equipped and being mostly fortunate with the weather, we ate outside on the terraces making full use of the BBQ provided. Monpazier is delightful and Villereal has a wonderfully colourful market. We thoroughly recommend this property as a holiday choice.
We've had a wonderful week, enjoyed by all. We thought the tapas evening with Emma was great fun and well worth it, she's very knowledgable. We ended the week with lunch at Domaine Gayda, a great recommendation. We were sad to leave such a lovely home which exceeded our expectations and I would love to think that one day we could return.
