Absolutely fabulous! We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 weeks and would love to return. It's so well equipped, you've thought of everything UK TV meant we could stay in touch with local news not mention avidly watching the olympics. The property couldn't be bettered!
After many weeks of uncertainty, our decision to drive down to the Loft du Vigneron has been vindicated by a superb week. Thank you so much for all that you have done to make our week so memorable; especially prior to us leaving the UK. Your e-mails and your flexibility made us have a sense of connection before we had met you both. We have appreciated all the small touches that have made our stay easier - from the notes, welcome pack, advice, booking restaurants, etc. A good life is made up of special memories. My husband and I had a perfect week. (23rd to 29th of June 2025z Florence was the best host. The barn was just stunning. The photos really don’t do it justice. The facilities were among the best we’ve had. We have been going to Dordogne for 30 years with our family. This property with all the required amenities (and I mean ALL) was above and beyond what we were expecting. Florence had thought of everything even down to some very special luxury spa products. Hair products (including straighteners!. We were warmly welcomed with a smile and more than sufficient welcome pack. All that we needed for evening and the following morning. Including wine! She really was the best owner we have met. It was such a pleasure meeting her and staying for the perfect week in her beautiful barn. We had an invited evening with aperitifs in the garden. Delightful company. All the health and safety information was given to us on arrival with a phone number we could call at anytime, for anything. The pool was absolutely perfect. We had a huge choice of entertainment from games, books, music but we were just amazed that this including Netflix!! Perfect for an evening relaxing on the very comfortable couches. Eymet is also just 15 minutes drive away and has a very good range of exceptional restaurants, cafes and boutiques, antique shops etc. A beautiful historic town. We really can’t rate Florence and her wonderful accommodation highly enough. Our sincere thanks go to her for helping to make our peaceful week away from it all. So very memorable. I forgot to add our absolute joy of having air con all around the house!!!! The icing on the cake!!! Thanks again
This was our second stay at The Cottage du Jardin and it certainly not be our last. Caterina and Steven are perfect host who were wonderful company when the time was appropriate but gave us full privacy at all other time. To be honest, they were both like good neighbours and made us feel as if we were at home. We could speak too highly of the region, the cottage or of Cat and Steve. Thanks for a lovely week.
We had a lovely stay. so tranquil, with a view of the Dordogne river. Lovely enclosed courtyard garden, ideal for al fresco dining and BBQ. We enjoyed sitting by the pool watching the birds in the trees and popping in and out of holes in the wall. Not too far from some of the hot spots such as Sarlat, Domme and La Roque-Gageac, so we could enjoy a day out but still manage to get back to the peace and quiet of Maison Bourg Calès to relax.
What a wonderful property! The fantastic set up with different residences suited our family group perfectly. The outdoor dining area and the mini kitchen were great, and having so much fridge space there and by the pool was very helpful. Mireille was absolutely brilliant – both in terms of advice and information before our arrival and while we were here. Thank you for a truly lovely stay.

We are back home after a very good two weeks. The weather was nice and warm the first week (wonderful for the pool). We drank very good wine and visited very good restaurants. (Franck Putelat in Carcassone, Octopus in Béziers, Cot Mas, Lauzun in Gignac, Presbytery in Vailhan etc). We visited the marches and cooked with excellent and fresh products. We discovered a bakery with wood fire in Canet and visited many beautiful places. With this beautiful house - a perfect vacation. We met Olivier and Raphael - friendly and funny and we drank a beer together. We look forward to returning next year.
Very atmospheric, beautifully quiet, well equipped villa. Great pool and ideal for a large family stay. Nice market found 9 km to the left, at the bottom of the hill. Great local scenery, walks and bike rides and easy driving! Pool is fantastic and clean. Lower floor really cool when it gets hot! We've all had a great relaxing time!

From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer beauty and tranquility of the place. With its origins dating back to the 13th century, the château has been lovingly restored with modern comforts, making it feel both grand and welcoming. The spacious interiors, well-equipped kitchen, and multiple lounges gave us room to relax while the children played safely. The setting is stunning; panoramic views of rolling hills, vineyards, and pure countryside bliss. It felt wonderfully remote and peaceful, yet we were still close enough to explore local villages and markets when we wanted a little outing. Limoux was right on the doorstep (12 minutes by car) with a local market, boulangeries, patisseries and Supermarchés. A Special Thanks to Quentin, the owner, who was absolutely charming. He made us feel genuinely welcome and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, including fresh pastries on our first morning. His passion for the château and its history really added to the experience, it’s clear he’s poured his heart into the place. The only thing we could fault was the weather which was out of our control! It meant that the pool, which wasn't heated, was slightly 'fresh' but still bearable!
This place is quiet and thanks to nature, which Surrounded us, we were totally relaxed... The cottage is equipped with everything we need and Karine and Pascal are always available... For future visitors, there are restaurants to recommend (in our opinion) in Vianne (l'Atypik), in Barbaste (the veranda), in Sérignac-sur-Garonne (Le Prince Noir), in Agen (South Side)... Opposite the supermarket in Bras, you will find a butcher and a traditional bakery... Nérac, Vianne, Pujols, Penne-d'Agenais are places to visit! Thank you very much!
Villa du Château exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, and Claire’s warm hospitality made us feel at home straight away. What makes this place truly unique is the perfect balance it offers. You wake up to breathtaking countryside views, complete peace and quiet, yet within just a couple of minutes’ walk you’re in the heart of Duras, with its castle, cafés, restaurants, markets and local shops. The house itself is absolutely stunning—beautifully restored, full of character, incredibly spacious and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Whether you’re relaxing by the private pool, enjoying long meals in the outdoor kitchen, watching the sunset from the terrace, or gathering with family and friends in one of the many living areas, every space invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. We were a multi-generational group, and everyone had an amazing time. Adults loved the peaceful setting and the nearby wineries and restaurants, teenagers enjoyed the lively atmosphere in the village, and the children had endless fun between the pool, the gardens and exploring the château. It is rare to find a property that is both so tranquil and so close to everything. Whether you’re looking to relax, explore, celebrate with family, or simply experience the charm of southwest France, Villa du Château is the perfect place. Without a doubt, one of the finest holiday homes we’ve ever stayed in—and somewhere we would return to in a heartbeat.

Fantastic week. It was a real pleasure to go outdoors. We really liked le Graud d'Agde, St Guillem Le Desert and Collioure, the Hacienda in Pézenas and the market nearby, the excellent Violis on the beach. There is everything for a good holiday near the property.
Thank you so much for our stay it was amazing. This is one of my favourite places in the world, just sitting by the field for hours on end listening and then coming back to play a family game of monopoly. Thank you again and we need to come back.

We had such a lovely week at Les Cabannes with 3 generations of our family... A fantastic, well equipped, welcoming house in a beautiful place, set in so much space for everyone to do their own thing, if they so desire. Les Cabannes really is in perfect seclusion but not isolation - plenty of wonderful things to see and do nearby, if you can persuade yourself (or anyone) to leave the pool!
Spending time in this lovely serene hamlet is heaven, overlooking the most calming landscaped from the house and terraces. The fully equipped kitchen is outfitted for foodies and in a setting with fantastic food markets just 15 minutes in proximity. The gardens surrounding the house are beautiful and have a fabulous pool. The is French countryside brilliance at its best.
Special features are the large swimming pool close to the house. Beautiful rural views. In summer there are night markets in surrounding villages where you can buy all kinds of foods, from omelettes to snails, and eat them outdoors on long trestle tables - a treat for locals and tourists alike. A wonderfully relaxing place to stay, highly recommended.
Such a fabulous time in a wonderful house - welcomed so well by Helen and John - nothing too much trouble and just so so friendly and informative - thank you so much for your hospitality. The house and facilities are great in such a historical and featured house - we very much hope to return!!

This has been a most restful and restoring holiday after the misery of Covid etc. We have to thank Alan and Madeline for great kindness and for literally going the extra mile when we couldn't find our way home. We've enjoyed local restaurants: try Aubord de la Source, St Livrade for a special treat, Les Rives du Plantie. We went north to Cancon market (Monday mornings). There's a village called St. Pastour on the way where a young couple have a very good restaurant (week day lunch and some evenings) called Le Relais Bastide. Thank you again Madeline and Alan. Almost forgot to say don't miss the lilies and lunch at Latour-Marliac. Monet bought his waterlilies here, having seen them at the great Paris Exhibition.
Thank you so much for your hospitality and attentiveness during our week with you. Your property really is the most wonderful place - both to stay and to explore this part of France. The gardens provide both a sense of space and tranquility - the pool and its surrounding terrace is a real sun trap and as the days turn to evening the raised terrace at the front of the property is just ideal for those pre-dinner drinks, enjoying the conversation while soaking up the amazing view across the rolling countryside as the sun goes down - perfect. We particularly loved the atmosphere and seclusion of the rear courtyard and the outdoor kitchen and lounge area was a delight for our al fresco dining! The other beauty of the property is its great location which provides a base for touring around the region - fantastic. We are both looking forward to coming out again ! Thanks again.
Beautiful setting and the grounds are marvellous. So relaxing and the pool area is perfect for long sunny afternoons. Kitchen is really well appointed. Bed linen feels fresh and your home is spotless - a big thumbs up! Playroom was a huge hit. You have a wonderful property, but your kindness and generosity of spirit went a long way in making us all feel very welcome.
For once, the house was better than the photos ! Quality and tasteful interior and magnificent garden. Well maintained pool. Lovely countryside walks nearby. Great local restaurants. Don't miss a visit to Minerve, a traditional Cathar town. A fabulous holiday.
