We've rented a lot of other villa, châteaux and domaines, but this one was the best! The six ensuite bedrooms were all the same size and had the same amenities so none of the six couples had a less than optimal room as we've experienced in other rentals. The two on-site staff were wonderful and spoke perfect English (they're Irish so not a surprise). The location in Burgundy was perfect for day trips. If you book this rental, you'll be delighted!
Le Château de La Loire had a perfect location for exploring the Loire valley. It finds itself close to places such as Saumur, many beautiful castles, vine tastings, champignons farms and other highlights of that region. The hosts have been great and the place has all you need with pool, yoga lessons, massages services, excellent breakfast, quiet park and art exhibitions... we will come back!
Echoing all previous comments. It was a pleasure to stay here and on behalf of the two English-born cricket enthusiasts, we enjoyed the cricket net, as well as all the other sports. You are obviously a man with fine tastes!
From the moment we walked through the doors of Maison Charvin we knew that this was the perfect house for our holiday – the squeals of delight from the grandchildren (and their parents) at the sight of the pool and the surrounding garden suggested that the house would more than meet the requirements of all three generations of the family – it did this in spades. Owner Ms W attention to details and her anticipation of all of our needs was very much appreciated, as was her additional assistance in dealing with the local mechanic (flat tyre) and dentist (broken tooth) which was above and beyond the call of duty and will not be forgotten – many thanks. We had a wonderful holiday and would have no hesitation in recommending Maison Charvin to family and friends.

Just wanted to say what a wonderful property Moulin de Terrac is. We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. Probably the best property we have stayed in since we started holidaying in France 16 years ago. And also what a great manager Bonnie was – really helpful and friendly.
The Pool is Fantastic. We definitely agree with all the positive feedback. Our stay was 5 star, the pool is fantastic, the lodging extremely comfortable and well laid out. Everything was available for a restful and rewarding stay thanks to our great and thoughtful hosts.

This is our last night staying at Les Jumelles and we are all sad to be leaving your wonderful house and garden. We only have good memories of our stay and you have made us feel extremely relaxed during the last two weeks. The weather has been perfect for lots of fun spent in the swimming pool and whilst also enjoying your fantastic garden.
Our family of 10 stayed here for a week and we loved every minute. The attention to detail in the chateau was wonderful. Everything we could have needed was provided. Philippe and Frederique were the most wonderful hosts. We highly recommend Chateau de Marquisat!
Thank you for an amazing stay in this wonderful house, the view, kitchen facilities and the entertainment available were all perfect. We enjoyed the bbq every night in the garden and early morning swims. The house was equipped with everything we needed we cooked with herbs from the garden and improved our pool playing. The wine tasting next door was very special, we liked the decor in every room and would recommend this house to stay in, its a lovely place. We had an incredible holiday.
Wow - what a fantastic place to stay! Hugh and Ian are wonderful hosts and have made sure everything we need us available to make our holiday such a relaxing one. The grounds are beautiful and the pool has been glorious to cool down in the summer heat. It was great to meet Oscar your stunning dog too. We have had a great time in your wonderful house. So relaxing, peaceful and quiet.
The apartment is perfectly located: by the sea. There is a private beach and a public beach. The beaches are quite isolated and there are very few people. The apartment is equipped with everything necessary, even more than enough, as if it were not a rental house, but yours. If this is important, then all infrastructures (shops, bakery) are located in the neighbouring municipality of Beaulieu.

We had a wonderful weekend in a beautiful location. The castle is extremely comfortable, very well restored with spacious rooms and tastefully decorated down to the smallest detail. The welcome is warm and everything is thought of for a perfect stay. We were 14 people.
I had a great stay at Le Mas de Combet with a group of 9 adults and 2 infants as we were attending a wedding nearby at Chateau de St Paul (c. 10 - 15 minutes drive) The house was clean, well equipped and very peaceful and private. The villa is remote so a car is definitely required but it's a beautiful setting with wonderful views of the countryside and the pool was well used during our stay! We had a couple of days of rain but the house is so comfortable and has plenty of space for indoor and outdoor entertaining. One small note was that there is no soap, shower gel or shampoo provided as described on the listing but that was a very minor inconvenience which was easily resolved. Dermod, our contact was extremely helpful and responsive and even personally arranged a lift for one of our party back from the wedding venue (thanks to Patricia!). Thanks for a great stay - we would definitely recommend!
House: Fantastic. Idyllic. Perfect. Classical. Beautiful. Spacious. Practical. Comfortable. Beautiful area for touring (Brantôme, Jarnac). Garden: Very child friendly. Garden Jenga etc. Clean and very safe. Beautiful pool and alfresco dining areas. Also adult friendly. V good Gas BBQ.
This place is truly magical. It’s clean and spacious with scenic surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn’t recommend it enough!

Fantastic time in this great house and location. 2 weeks of rest, relaxation and fun with the kids and extended family. Thank you. What a wonderful place! So much for the kids to do - swimngs, slide, trampoline, swimming and may runing races, lots of yumy wines and cheese. Two scrumptious meals cooked by Tim and Ali. Very tempted to return next year! We stayed here in July/August 2025 for 2 week and had a perfect multi-generation holiday here, with 12 of us ranging in age from 5 to 76. The property was absolutely ideal – spacious enough for us to all be together when we wanted, yet with plenty of room to spread out and relax, play board games, or just enjoy some quiet time. The house is extremely well equipped and thoughtfully set up for larger groups. It’s refreshing to stay in a place that understands what big groups need – more than enough plates, mugs, glasses, and plenty of seating inside and out. The pool was fantastic – spotlessly clean and enjoyed by everyone, every day. A special mention must go to Michelle, the wonderful lady who looks after the property. She was amazing – warm, helpful, and quick to resolve the two very minor issues we had. She also gave us some excellent local recommendations. The location is lovely and secluded, which does mean you need to drive for shops or activities, but honestly, the property is so large and comfortable that you don’t feel the need to leave often. We did enjoy a few outings – kayaking on the Dordogne, dinners out, and day trips – but we were always happy to return “home.” All in all, this house feels like a cross between a welcoming home and an upmarket hotel. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our family holiday and would highly recommend it.
This villa is amazing. The accommodation is fabulous with a lovely kitchen/dining/lounge area, comfortable beds, great showers and very effective air-conditioning. The pool and outside areas are excellent. We were a family group ranging from 15 to 72 years and we all had a wonderful time. The owners are friendly and welcoming, there if you need them, otherwise extremely discreet. We would not hesitate to recommend this property.
It was amazing. The house was beautiful and the pool was really nice. All of my family loved it and we all want to come back next summer.
It is early spring. My husband and I decide to go to the South of France for a fortnight. Our eye has fallen on Les Oliviers du Sud. It is in the Gard region and close to nice places. Like Uzès, Nîmes, Avignon. What a surprising place on arrival. Two enthusiastic owners, proudly showing off their new domaine. There are two gîtes. A large swimming pool, several terraces and expansive views. Our gîte is very comfortable. Spacious living room with dining kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped. Bedroom is very spacious with good mattresses. Large bathroom with two sinks. As it can be quite chilly in the evening in spring, this cottage has a wood-burning stove with hot air conditioning. It is comfortably warm then. The garden is tastefully decorated. You have your own privacy and that choice is nice. We had a lovely two weeks here and will definitely come back next year.
