Château Chante L'Oiseau is the epitome of rustic French countryside living. It is an absolutely charming property with well appointed and comfortable rooms for restful sleep and mutiple reception rooms for relaxing and entertaining in. Its extensive grounds offer a plethora of activities to enterain both young and old. This is our favourite spot for a sojourn with friends and family.
Thank you so much for your beautiful house and what was a lovely holiday! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves – everyone agreed it was one of the best houses we’ve stayed in. We will certainly keep you in mind for another trip – it’s rare we find a property that the whole family really love – so thank you once again!
We spent a fantastic fortnight at Villa Bellara in June 2023. The property was immaculate and made us feel instantly at home. Our party was made up of three couples and a baby but the Villa is so large that each couple had their own floor with one room left unused. Each air-conditioned bedroom had access to a bathroom and dressing area. The kitchen is large and well equipped for cooking and preparing drinks and nibbles . We also made use of the Weber gas BBQ. We have never had a heated pool in France before; we used it every day and relaxed on the three secluded terraces. We have visited Cros De Cagnes many times and can recommend the area for holiday makers who do not wish to hire a car. The Villa is set in a quiet residential area but is only a 15 minute walk down to the beachfront with its bars and restaurants. There is a nearby supermarche and several boulangeries within a short walk. You can easily access the train or bus for trips into Nice or beyond. The owner Jean Luc was extremely hospitable and took the time to walk us through all aspects of the Villa. He made it clear we could contact him if the slightest problem arose. We would highly recommend Villa Bellara and hope to return in the future.
We have been to Maison Baleyssagues so many times and once again it has been a wonderful time. There's so much to entertain here and it gets the family together. I don't want to leave but I still have home.
I loved this holiday. I love sport so I sent most of my days in the gorgeous pool, I would practice my swimming and then float around and look at the blue sky. I loved the tennis court and spend hours practicing my forehand. The château is so pretty, it could have been made up. Any kid would love this place.
We have enjoyed a lovely holiday, this beautiful home has been and absolute delight so comfortable and peaceful. Enjoying lunch outside in your splendid garden has been a favourite past-time.
We spent 2 weeks at Mas Saint-Cernin. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. John and Lesley provided excellent information before our arrival about the property, the local area and very clear travel directions. There was even a welcome basket of essentials for our breakfast on arrival. We had a fabulous time and hope to visit again.
It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. We would like to thank you for the wonderful holiday we enjoyed again last year in Navacelles. This house is a heaven on earth. We stayed here twice over the last 3 years (not 3 times only because we were too late to book). Very quiet, wonderful views and still close enough to restaurants and shops. Everything the website promised us was there. The house is superbly decorated and has a wonderful garden and pool. The kids (and the parents) had their highlight of the year again. We won't tell anyone how nice this place is:-). We ll be back soon...
A beautiful house in a beautiful location, everything for an extended family of all ages.
Wonderful stay in a beautiful home. The house was very comfortable and the swimming pool was great. We spent some time in the nearby towns / villages. Pézenas, Vias, Béziers and Cap d'Agde. The Sunday morning market in Besson is a must. The area is great for cycling with all of the nearby villages easily accessible. Very sad to be leaving. Thank you very much.
Loved Cottage du Jardin from the first photo we viewed on line. We had the warmest welcome from Caterina and Stephen. The cottage lived up to and beyond expectations. For anyone looking for total peace and tranquility this is the place to find it. On the other hand the area offers a mass of beautiful places to visit, within a short driving distance. You also have the luxury of your own swimming pool, surrounded by a beautiful fragrant garden. Caterina and Stephen go out of their way to make you welcome and are a font of knowledge of the area, but manage to do this without being intrusive. The perfect hosts. I hope that this little cottage will continue to enchant those who are lucky enough to find it.
Superb place! The rooms are top notch, the kitchen well equipped, pool table, shuffleboard, video projector, perfect!

Very good welcome. Cleanliness of the house, space, functionality, pool safety, baby equipment, everything was there. The surrounding setting of course is wonderful. Quality restaurants close by. Family stay that we were able to fully enjoy. Recommended, to be repeated.

We adore this house - it is our third visit this year! The atmosphere here is so conducive to being happy and relaxed. And now to expose the biggest secret of the year - Christmas at Orchard Farmhouse has been a magical experience. The Baquiés are the most agreeable hosts in the world.

We (4 adults - 2 generations) spent a fantastic week in this super gîte. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and extremely well equipped. Outside, in the very large garden, was the lovely pool which was cleaned daily. The outside kitchen was lovely for BBQ's. There were also lots of seating areas, shaded and sunny, we were spoilt for choice. We walked to the bakery in the morning as the gîte is close to the village. The lovely owners were welcoming and helpful. Happy to recommend.
We had a lovely time at Corinne's apartment. It is very clean, had all amenities for daily living, she has thought of everything. Beautiful, peaceful location, amazing balcony to relax on. Full shutters and blinds on all windows and doors for complete privacy. It is a very calm and peaceful place to unwind and short walk to restaurants and right on the beach. Massive supermarket directly opposite which sells everything you could ever need including excellent seafood. Highly recommended.
We were warmly welcomed and felt comfortable right away. We spent 4 days there for a company offsite and were very happy with the accommodation. Everything is provided on site: a cinema room that also serves as a presentation room and great kitchen equipment for cooking in a large group. Especially the breathtaking view, and the terraces are unique. We would come back any time!
One of the greatest holidays of all time! We could not have had a better week in this magnificent chateau - so perfectly equipped for chill and fun with days by the pool and meals on the terrace. We never felt the need to leave other than the inevitable rosé top-ups - we ate and drank like kings and queens. Some very fond memories to last us until our next visit - we hope!
A lovely relaxing holiday in a beautiful property in a fantastic part of the country. The morning bread delivery was especially welcome and the bread itself has been superb! We tried all of M. Marty's restaurant recommendations and were not disappointed. Will especially miss the fabulous scenery from all corners of the house!
