Loved our stay at L'Escapade au Lac, balcony a lovely spot to relax, pool was handy to cool down and interior nicely finished. Plenty of amazing places to visit.
Thank you for an amazing stay in this wonderful house, the view, kitchen facilities and the entertainment available were all perfect. We enjoyed the bbq every night in the garden and early morning swims. The house was equipped with everything we needed we cooked with herbs from the garden and improved our pool playing. The wine tasting next door was very special, we liked the decor in every room and would recommend this house to stay in, its a lovely place. We had an incredible holiday.

I just wanted to say that we all found your house to be absolutely lovely. Everything we could have hoped for. So many nice touches, you clearly put a lot of thought and no doubt effort into making it a very special place. We just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday in your beautiful house. You have made everything so comfortable and easy and it was such a joy to stay there. The location was perfect, such a peaceful spot with stunning views, in a pretty village. It exceeded all of our expectations. The region is so interesting too. We loved it all but especially the salt water swimming pool and the way you have landscaped the whole outside areas. We spent as much time as we could relaxing there. I hope we can return for another holiday soon! Thank you from us all. We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. It really was perfect.
This property has the WOW factor! We were blown away by it when we arrived. It is beautifully renovated and the grounds and surrounding countryside are stunning. The main house is very spacious with a large living room, TV lounge room and a big kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything that you might need (including 2 great coffee machines and a pantry with essentials that you can use). Also, a lovely large dining table. Upstairs there are 4 big airy bedrooms with very comfy beds, great linen and towels. Plus 3 pristine luxe bathrooms. The views out of every side of the house are idyllic. The outside space too is fantastic. Great terraces for eating / relaxing on, beautiful warm clean swimming pool with comfy loungers, herb garden, fire pit, well equipped gym, pétanque court, vineyard, landscaped gardens. The gîte across from the main house is also lovely and provides 3 extra bedrooms plus additional bathroom, kitchen and lounge. We enjoyed our stay enormously and appreciated the level of detail and care that the owners have put into this house.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It is full of character and style. The scent of flowers and wonderful pool made the garden the place we spent the most time. We very much enjoyed our stay at your beautiful villa, thank you. We had a hire car so were easily able to explore the gorgeous local Languedoc region. Close by we had a wonderful time at the Seigneurie de Peyrat enjoying the choir of cicadas during our 'PIQUE-NIQUE CHIC' experience which was interactive and fun! We also hired a chef one evening to cook for us at the villa, which was a great success and truly delicious. Wishing you a successful Summer 2022 season and hope to see you again soon.

We enjoyed it so much, with trips towards Narbonne, the Canal du Midi, Pézenas, Gruissan for the stage 16 of the Tour de France, as well as lots of time in the fantastic pool! you wer a great host, showing us your new wine cellar (I didn't drink all the wine!) and telling us your plans to make the house even better. Beautiful property in a stunning location. Set in a wonderful place. The owners are such lovely hosts always attentive and very helpful. They are doing a great job at lovingly restoring these properties with beautiful touches. We loved out time in the Lot, thank you so much.
Lovely location with beautiful views in a quiet and peaceful setting. Fantastic facilities, the house had everything you needed and more, super swimming pool, lovely and warm, well maintained and enjoyed by all the family. Alan and Madeline were on hand to assist at all times, we wish them every happiness in their new life in France.
We were a group of 20 (5 families) and had a wonderful week! The rooms are very comfortable (aircon, great beds), the kitchen was perfect for a large group, the pool was large and clean (not even a bug in the water, thanks to the overflow system). Everything is nicely decorated and brand new. The location is just beautiful with wonderful sunsets. We had a lovely visit at the wine cellar of the domaine and did a wine tasting. We visited Saint-Tropez and the Pampelonne plage (1 hour drive), Cotignac (40 min), Île de Porquerolles by catamaran from Hyères (1h) and did canyoning in the Gorges du Verdon (2h drive). So plenty to do but you'll need to spend some time in the car. And last but not least : Thomas is a great host. He is always available and willing to help in every possible way.
The family and I had a lovely stay at your house, Les Rocans. Your house, Les Rocans, has obviously been the subject of careful and loving restoration in many parts and it was lovely to stay there. The location is stunning, one could not tire of the views from the hillside. During our stay the weather was blistering hot sun and maximum temperatures around 36-38 degrees C. However, the breeze coming up the hill tempered the heat to make it quite tolerable. The trees you have carefully left near the swimming pool gave really good shade; it was my favourite lounging place. The swimming pool was so enjoyable, especially in the heat. Water temperature was the same as the heated pool in our local Virgin Active gym complex, occasionally higher, so our 4 year old grandson spent large amounts of time in the pool. Again, a lot of thought has clearly been given to the siting of the pool. There is a lot to do and see in the surrounding countryside. Our regret is we didn't get out as much as anticipated as the heat was a little too much away from Les Rocans. The few trips we did make showed how picturesque that part of France remains, especially around Sablet / Seguret / Vaison. Definitely we shall explore more next time, perhaps at a quieter time of year. Kevin, thank you for providing a place which gave us all much enjoyment for our weeks stay. The whole family wished they could have stayed longer. We did our best to cherish your house as you so obviously do.
A wonderful villa and a great host. We have had an amazing holiday in Maison des Communes and the surrounding areas. Delicious meals at restaurant de la Tour and Pica Pica in Béziers. Some enjoyable cycling and lots of relaxing by the pool (The pool was looked after excellently by the host). Breakfast delivery was a real treat too! Thank you.
Les Fumerates is fantastic. Near to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, it is particularly well located (30 minutes to Nice or Grasse by car, 20 minutes walk to Saint-Paul, etc.) and offers such an amazing landscape! Just imagine being in the pool with a view over the sea... For those who are willing to come when the weather is a little cold please note that when we were there the pool was 27 degrees (in April) Highly recommending the place, definitely.
My wife and rented Maison Rohmer for a month. the owner who lives in London was accessible by phone, she was absolutely fantastic, very helpful and was there for us by telephone if we had any questions. the location is in the country, very quiet and in a great location for discovering Luberon, hill towns, scenes to sketch and paint, some level dedicated bike trails for bike riding (can rent in Coustellet), so all in all a wonderful experience, the inside of the home was very comfortable, sizeable rooms, great shower, so now hesitation whatever to anyone who is looking for a place in the country side with a pool.
Charming place and a charming host. Christophe was so friendly and helpful to us. The house had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. I really recommend this place as a wonderful holiday getaway.
What a memorable time we had with friends along with my 5 years old daughter at the château. The owners are friendly and extremely generous, beautiful adorable dogs, my daughter is fond of them. The castle is rustic French style property with large windows directly opens to garden space and pool, the property is huge enough for every day walk, lush greens, canals, peaceful at the same time. The furniture and tapestry are well selected and stored beautifully. It’s a combination of modern comfort meets rustic luxury one could dream of. 5 - 10 minutes drive to local markets, boulangerie for delicious French breads. Amazing Safari zoo, my daughter and we had a great time. Great seas face restaurants are close by and a must visit. A perfect gateway to celebrate with your family, friends and loved ones.
We had a wonderful trip! The pictures cannot fully represent the beauty of the house, the pool and the hilltop setting with views over the river and the whole valley. The layout of the house worked very well for us, as each of our families had their own wing with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. We were grateful for the help with arranging chefs and babysitters (who were fantastic) and the hosts were proactive in making sure we had a great stay. The location is great too, as you are near a couple of cute towns with good bakeries and restaurants, close to Sarlat, Domme and La Roque-Gageac and centrally located for prehistoric caves, river trips, wineries, etc. We can't recommend this house enough!
Special. Superb house and fantastic facilities. Privilege to be able to stay. Exquisitive setting. Calming and rejuvenating. Inclined to chill by the pool. Amazing week, weather and times. Love to come again.
