I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely and we felt very lucky to be able to stay. We were lucky with the weather and swam every day after market trips. The house is one of the (if not the) best we have ever stayed in and we are making plans to return when we can.
A wonderful week in this beautiful house. Lots of memories. Our boys loved the table tennis and pool. Night markets in Quarante are a must. I hope we’ll be back x x

Amazing week for us in a very beautiful house with a wonderful view. The pool and outdoor kitchen area is great and was used daily for pool parties and delicious meals. Thanks to Peter and his team for their always friendly help.

What a super week at the villa! The pool was fabulous – great size and depth. The villa felt like a home from home, with everything catered for. Can recommend a bike ride over to Capestang – lunch of pizza and salad was fantastic. What can we say about Philippe? He has been welcoming, attentive, receptive, but somehow invisible at the same time! Many thanks for organising the ‘fauteuil’ for mum. A casual enquiry about hiring a wheelchair led to a delivery of one for the week. Who could ask for more?!
We have had a wonderful week here in Sarlat! The weather has been amazing and we made great use of the pool and outdoor shower. Sarlat is beautiful. We spent many nights at the pub, found some great dining spots (Le Presidial), and an amazing ice cream shop (Terre Adélice). Château de Beynac is also very nice to visit and very close by. We would love to return to this house to explore more of what Sarlat has to offer. Many, many thanks for letting us stay in your wonderful home.
A truly wonderful family week in the sun! La Cigaliere met all of our needs and expectations. The layout and facilities allowed both togetherness and the odd moment of seclusion. As we have only scratched the surface of the region, I am sure we will be back. La Panouille (local pizzeria) was a great hit. Twice! Thank you and with our best wishes.
Thank you so much for a wonderfully relaxing stay at your ‘Loft’. We have stayed here many times before under previous ownership, but we must say that you have moved it up several notches! The attention to detail is second to none; from the luxurious ‘The White Company’ products to all the goodies in the fridge and cupboards - very much appreciated. The terrace, garden and pool are just so peaceful that we haven’t ventured far! Most of all thank you for being there and for your wonderful company. We hope there will be many more visits to come. Panoramic views of the countryside and a short drive to a local village where we could get all of our suppliers, every aspect of the stay was catered for and a stunning pool. So peaceful and tranquil, we didn’t want to leave. Just perfect.
We really enjoyed our all too brief stay in your beautiful house, gardens and surrounding countryside. All so lovely to explore. Mia, 7 3/4. Favourite place is the pool. Highly recommended is having Ian and Hugh cook dinner.
Peaceful location with beautiful views. The building has been really thoughtfully renovated. The open nature of the outdoor area meant you could always choose to be in/out of sun, always a breeze. A fab place for a family holiday. Great for cycling, locals super friendly. Delicious food and wine. We will definitely be back! We recommend the closest town, Monségur, the most for food, drinks and ambience. The local wine co-operative were also very friendly with great recommendations. We also recommend La Salle a Manger for food or just for a drink.
Great stay in Porticcio the children loved to do it again I highly recommend this establishment.
Magnificent stone villa - a good welcome for friends and family. An excellent house steeped in history, perfect for giving each visitor beautifully private spaces (with 5 beds and baths), but with room to gather for evenings and fun. During our three weeks, 15 people joined us at different times. Plenty of room to cook together, barbecue, dine outside, in the kitchen, the elegant dining room or by the pool. We had a wonderful days in sun by the heated pool and the house is well equipped. Fabulous design - we just want to know more about the history of the house. Excellent location - with a 5 minute ride (by car) to the village for croissants in the morning, pretty much everything you need in the village, close to the main attractions (15 or 20 minutes from Lascaux - 20 minutes from Sarlat) . We were delighted and thank Pierre and Marie.
This is our second time coming to David and Kirstie's place to enjoy a long weekend with friends. Everything is always great. Excellent accommodation, top hosts, top-notch environment! Loved our stay and can only recommend 100%! We'll be back again, that's for sure.

From the moment I arrived at Les Cazettes, I was completely mesmerised by it. Every corner of the villa has the most beautiful architecture, thoughtful design and authentic charm in every detail, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Each room is a masterpiece. All that beautiful furniture and chandeliers speak of timeless elegance and gives it much more personality than any modern soulless contemporary interior designs that is more common to find among luxury villas. As someone who deeply values nature, the villa's surroundings became my nirvana place. With colourful fields that seem to stretch infinitely and forests that attract to explore it, there’s a certain magic that Les Cazettes holds. The air here is different - it’s charged with an energy so vibrant, yet very calming. It's rare to find a place that can give you the feeling of being home, especially when you're miles away from what you’ve always known. It’s an oasis where happiness isn’t just felt, it's lived. I've spent such beautiful moments here, makes me feel so warmly nostalgic as I write this review. Bring your favourite people with you and step into that bubble that feels from another world. A place where joy isn’t just a sporadic emotion but a permanent atmosphere that surrounds you. It's not just a holiday spot - it’s an experience, a journey, a lifestyle that I never wanted to end. On arrival at the Loft du Vigneron what a wonderful welcome we received, then only to find a delightfully designed, comfortable and well thought out accommodation. This villa is amazing. The accommodation is fabulous with a lovely kitchen/dining/lounge area, comfortable beds, great showers and very effective air-conditioning. The pool and outside areas are excellent. We were a family group ranging from 15 to 72 years and we all had a wonderful time. The owners are friendly and welcoming, there if you need them, otherwise extremely discreet. We would not hesitate to recommend this property.
I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our holiday at Villa Bellara. It was immaculate and is perfectly positioned to access to supermarket, patisserie, beaches and numerous quality restaurants and a short walk to the train station - which we used most days to visit other coastal resorts. The villa was considerably larger than we expected and was well equipped for our stay. The quiet residential location was a bonus after having busy days out. All in all a perfect property. Another lovely holiday spent in this area. The house was all we needed, just as the photos and descriptions had shown. The standard of the house and grounds were fantastic. Often in France the pools may be a little walk away from the house/outdoor living areas but this was a fantastic layout for all to enjoy all day and evening. The pool was the best part, fantastic condition and provided hours of fun for kids and adults alike as did the games room. The house was very spacious and all facilities/equipment provided were ideal. The little walk into the village across the fields for our morning bread and cakes and the close proximity to Duras and Eymet (the towns we enjoy visiting) meant this was a great location.
