Very atmospheric, beautifully quiet, well equipped villa. Great pool and ideal for a large family stay. Nice market found 9 km to the left, at the bottom of the hill. Great local scenery, walks and bike rides and easy driving! Pool is fantastic and clean. Lower floor really cool when it gets hot! We've all had a great relaxing time!
Without a doubt, this is the most peaceful and relaxing holiday we have ever had. Such a beautiful setting with everything we needed - even to keep our 3 boys entertained. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise.
We had a wonderful time at Vero and Thierry. The house is beautiful and very well decorated. The outdoor facilities are excellent and have everything you need. Because the weather was so nice we spent most of our time by the pool and ate all our meals there. There is a supermarket and two bakeries 5 km away and Poitiers is easily accessible for sightseeing and restaurants. We're already talking about going back. I highly recommend staying here.
I have stayed here with friends on several occasions and the tranquility and serenity is something to treasure. Maison Bourriette and gardens are furnished to the highest standard with a special courtyard enclosed in the original barn walls. The pool and surroundings cater for the most ardent sunbather or swimmer. The welcome you receive is personal and nothing is too much trouble, thus ensuring your best possible stay. From the house you are near to many interesting attractions dotted around the rolling countryside but if you don't want to leave the sanctuary of the house, then there are numerous delightful walks on the doorstep taking you through woods to small settlements or even into Montaigu for quality food and drink. I cannot wait to go back again!
It has been fun cooking and eating out on the terrace with the wonderful views.

Perfect! Our stay in the L’Ancienne Etable was 5 star. Jane and Richard have thought of everything to make this the perfect pad for two. Peaceful and relaxing, we would highly recommend and hope to return again soon.
We had great week staying at this lovely house! It is in quiet, rural location and we enjoyed exploring the area, which is very pretty. Sam was a great host and showed us everything and then left us to it – but was very helpful responsive with any questions we had. There were 7 of us and the house accommodated us all very easily. It is very well equipped and everything is in good condition and works well - lots of plates, glasses, large fridge freezer with ice maker, wine and beer fridges etc! The beds were comfortable and the house has two good bathrooms/shower rooms including a spa bath! There is a great choice of terraces and outside areas (covered and open) for sitting and dining, with lots of chairs, tables and sun loungers – which far exceeded expectations. The pool, surrounding terrace and gardens are really lovely and it is very quiet and private. The table tennis table was a bonus and we had a fun afternoon kayaking on the Dordogne, too! We would have loved a few more days there!
Comfortable. Well equipped château. Spacious. Well tended grounds. Stunning pool area, very inviting! All really good. Comfortable sitting area. Well organised roomy playroom being a real bonus. Kitchen well equipped for cooking. Helpful at all times and unobtrusive. Huge bonus having the daily housekeeping service as well as shopping service. What a fabulous place to call home for a week. The villa is beautiful with everything you could possibly need.
We have spent two wonderful weeks at the villa. We have spent lots of time in the fantastic pool. We have been to the nearby villages: Agde, Pézenas, Carcassonne, Limoux, Sète, all worth a visit. Many thanks to the owner.
We've rented a lot of other villa, châteaux and domaines, but this one was the best! The six ensuite bedrooms were all the same size and had the same amenities so none of the six couples had a less than optimal room as we've experienced in other rentals. The two on-site staff were wonderful and spoke perfect English (they're Irish so not a surprise). The location in Burgundy was perfect for day trips. If you book this rental, you'll be delighted!
We had a wonderful time at your beautiful domain. We explored the region extensively, but would love to come back again to enjoy more of the peace and quiet here on your property. Terrific house with fabulous views, close to town. Our family of five had a perfect holiday. The house is spacious, filled with light and very well appointed. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces a lot, including the pool, the large terrace with stunning views and summer kitchen. It was easy to get to grocery stores and activities in the region. Our teenagers loved being able to walk to the village and explore the area. We all enjoyed walking or jogging on the path by the canal, accessible from the garden. We highly recommend this property!
We recently stayed for two weeks at this beautiful house and were overwhelmed by its beauty and setting. The house is spacious and extremely well furnished with everything you could possibly need for a fantastic relaxing break. A lot of care and thought has gone into the decor and furnishings giving a real homely feel. Fresh flowers in the rooms added to the warmth of our welcome by Frederic, the house manager and Elisabeth and Marian had ensured that everything was immaculate. The town of Duras is close by and we enjoyed the Monday morning markets as well as trips to Bordeaux (by train from Marmande), St Emilion and the wonderful Château de Fayolle where we had an amazing lunch, vineyard tour and wine tasting. This is a beautiful part of France where we have made many happy memories and hope to return one day. Our thanks to the team at Maison Baleyssagues for making our visit so special. Worthy of mention is local driver Mark Pope who provided transport for us during our trip. He needs to be pre- booked but will get you where you need to go if you don't want to drive!
Had a great fortnight in Les Sphynx de Pézenas. Everything you want really. Recommend Chez Paul, Les Entre Pots and Ou es tu Ginger (veggie food) in the local area to eat. Marina Bay at Marseillan Plage - great food and lovely views. All in all a great location and house.
I just wanted to write to say how much we enjoyed our holiday at Les Granels. The Villa was everything we hoped it would be and beautifully equipped and an added bonus was the wonderfully stocked playroom, which as we had 5 children under 7 was an absolute joy. I would like to say that Karri was an absolute gem, efficient, full of good humour, endlessly patient with our Grandchildren who loved her so much that they cried when she said goodbye to us. She really made the holiday and enabled our rather exhausted children (their parents) to have a much needed few hours off. We are really grateful to her. The other great joy was the meals that Carol and Andy cooked for us, just in case future guests want cooking done whilst they are there.
We had an amazing stay in this beautiful house. We would recommend to everyone! Such a beautiful place with lots of happy memories made!

La Jolie Vue does not only offer a magnificent view on the rolling hills, it was restored with much care and love !we thank you for your outstanding hospitality dare we say friendship.
