A perfect place for a family stay. A large well equipped property that is decorated with great taste. There is something for all generations both inside and out including indoor and outdoor games for children. A great television room with a large choice of DVDs for both children and adults. Magnificent garden – great for aperitifs and barbeques and a beautiful swimming pool. The house was immaculate when we arrived. Our visit was unforgettable and we will certainly be coming back.
We have had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. We appreciate how clean it was when we arrived (thanks Yvonne) and the wine. We love the decor and period furnishings. The pool and small barn were great. It was interesting to hear about the history and previous occupants of the house from Bob and Margaret, the English neighbours across the road. Thanks. We hope to return one day.
We had a lovely couple of weeks here. The property is beautiful and the weather was kind. Some gorgeous scenery and places to visit.
Maison Sebastien is just beautiful. We had three generations of family to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary and we have made such happy memories there. We booked during lockdown and had anticipated our stay for so long, but it lived up to every wish and more. From our first sight of the house we loved it. It was perfect, isolated but near enough to the village so we could enjoy eating out. The countryside around is perfect for cycling and walking. It is quirky for all the right reasons, corners to sit on your own and room to be together when you want. The long table on the veranda was our place to come together and linger over leisurely breakfasts and tasty suppers. The views are amazing and they are enjoyed throughout the house. The house is furnished with character and comfort, it has everything you could need, and we all felt relaxed and happy there. The bedrooms and bathrooms are quite lovely, the beds comfy with quality bedding and big soft towels. Our grandchildren particularly enjoyed ‘their’ top floor! The pool is big and beautiful, we all spent a lot of time in it. We had a private chef for one night and he was impressed with the kitchen facilities. The caretaker Monsieur Devun, was unobtrusive but was there if we wanted anything. Our three generations (aged 69 to 8 years) would all highly recommend Maison Sebastien, and we hope to be back one day.
The house was very comfortable and the facilities were great it made a good centre for touring the area so we would be happy to recommend the house to anyone else.
I just want to say what a wonderful week we spent at Maison Tilleul. From the moment we arrived (and a mere 20 minutes from Carcassonne airport, how fabulous!) we just fell into the house which had everything we needed for a super relaxed holiday with the children and my father. Having good internet for the children (when we allowed them!) was great and a wonderful pool close to the house so everyone was together made a huge difference. Loved that we could pop to Limoux for a ‘pression’ in the evening and Carcassonne is amazing to visit, for shopping and sightseeing. And we were lucky enough to be there during the festival and saw Rag’n’Bone Man! Will definitely come back, it was so easy to get to and the house has everything we need and more.
Such a lovely well appointed cottage. We had a warm welcome from Caterina when we arrived. Comfy bed, great shower and well equipped kitchen. Weather is now quite autumnal, cool with showers. But even so, we went out somewhere different every day. Sarlat, Domme, Château de Losse. After reading other guests' comments in this book, we discovered some pretty villages we wouldn't have known about. Fanlac, Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, Saint-Amand-de-Coly and Saint-Géniès. All reached by lovely countryside views. This cottage would be a perfect place to stay in the summer months, where you would benefit from the lovely pool and outside eating areas. The week went by far too quickly, but we will have our memories and many photos to look back on. Thank you Caterina and Steve.

We stayed in Jean and Martin’s beautiful Gite over the recent May Bank Holiday and we were absolutely delighted with our stay in every way we could possibly be! The Gite itself is immaculately appointed; it is beautifully in character and so generously equipped with all one needs for a seamless and relaxing stay. The kitchen boasts a washing machine and dishwasher - really useful for a longer stay . Great outside area with a bbq and an extra outside kitchen area, sink and 2nd fridge. The outside dining terrace is so comfortable and looks out on a beautifully maintained garden area with pool , sun chairs and gazebo - so comfy and relaxing. The bathroom is a very good size with both bath and shower. Upstairs are two generously sized bedrooms - one double and then a twin room.. Although my husband and I travelled with friends on this occasion, it was very apparent that the Gite is beautifully family friendly ; a cot and high chairs are also provided . The surrounding area is stunning - a few minutes walk to the local shops and cafes. Not far at all by car from many local beautiful areas and restaurants. Jean and Martin are perfect hosts - we honestly couldn’t ask for more and we will definitely be returning.

We spent an amazing week at Château Lignol. We chose the Chateau as it looks beautiful but I will be honest the pictures do not do it justice as once you are there it looks even more amazing. The garden was great to entertain children of all ages, with the fenced swimming pool and the trampoline which were used and abused on a daily basis by our children. I loved relaxing in the bath and chilling by the the pool with a nice glass of wine. It was also so quiet with only the landlord (ever so discreet and still always there to assist should you need anything) and a farmer as neighbors that you can truly enjoy the serene surrounding. Yet it is only one hour from Concarneau and its lovely beaches to which we went on two occasions. We also used the service proposed for a cook, Sharon, whom we highly recommend (especially her beef stroganoff which is out of this world!) who preempted all our needs and who prepared all our breakfasts, beautifully laid out, few meals and a party buffet which we had with some friends at the Chateau. Everything looked amazing and tasted great as well! It will remain a beautiful memory of a true holiday where everyone truly relaxed and enjoy themselves! Thanks for this amazing location and property!

We loved every moment of our stay. The Cottage du Jardin is pretty but so well appointed; super-clean, well equipped and charming. The pool and gardens are private and delightful. Catarina and Stephen are great hosts - nothing is too much trouble and they are just so friendly. This property is a jewel and the villages and ancient sites of the Vezere Valley make this a stunning trip.
Fantastic house to stay in – comfortable, clean and everything needed provided. Beautiful garden, pool and terrace. The views are stunning especially with a morning coffee or glass of wine (at dinner!)
We had a fantastic 2 week stay here, the house and outside space are really lovely and was the perfect setting for our family to spend time together. We explored the area but were always more than happy to return to the house and spend time around the swimming pool relaxing. Thank you
I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our holiday at Villa Bellara. It was immaculate and is perfectly positioned to access to supermarket, patisserie, beaches and numerous quality restaurants and a short walk to the train station - which we used most days to visit other coastal resorts. The villa was considerably larger than we expected and was well equipped for our stay. The quiet residential location was a bonus after having busy days out. All in all a perfect property. We had a wonderful trip! The pictures cannot fully represent the beauty of the house, the pool and the hilltop setting with views over the river and the whole valley. The layout of the house worked very well for us, as each of our families had their own wing with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. We were grateful for the help with arranging chefs and babysitters (who were fantastic) and the hosts were proactive in making sure we had a great stay. The location is great too, as you are near a couple of cute towns with good bakeries and restaurants, close to Sarlat, Domme and La Roque-Gageac and centrally located for prehistoric caves, river trips, wineries, etc. We can't recommend this house enough!
This is a beautiful place to discover. An irresistible residence in perfect communion with the landscape and the environment of the place. Calm, charm of the place, landscape and Sandie's welcome is what made the stay magical. I recommend without hesitation.
We stayed from July 22 to 29, 2023 in Les Trois Maisons de Valescure. 4 generations, 19 people. Our stay was very pleasant, magnificent hikes, visits - Cotignac is a little marvel, like on the postcards - swimming pool, both logistically and environmentally. Perfect equipment for the twenty-somethings that we were. Thomas contributed to the success of our stay thanks to his attention and efficient responsiveness and excellent communication.
Superb contemporary villa surrounded by a very large and beautiful garden, dream pool, fish pond to relax or to occupy the little ones. Eva and her friend Audrey are very kind and we are very well received and well advised on local visits and activities! We thank you again for everything.
First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. Le Petit Palais is a beautiful place to stay, in a very peaceful area. It had everything we needed and was perfect for a relaxing family holiday.
We had a lovely week in this quaint house. It was secluded with a lovely pool which was cleaned twice during our week. Which was ideal as it was quite windy. We had no faults with our stay and the owner was helpful when required. I would like to point out that air conditioning is only downstairs, kitchen and bedroom with pull out sofa bed in. There was an air conditioning unit in the top bedroom which was satisfactory. That would be my only comment on what was a lovely week that it should be clearer in the description where it is.
Thank you - it was another fabulous two weeks at Les Granels for us - and we loved the new additions of the hot tub and beach volley ball court.
