Most beautiful spot in the South of France! The house was sensational. The vista is beyond. The kitchen motivated us to cook and eat on the patio every night. Proximity to all the area has to offer and the patisserie and vegetable market and town are all right at the foot of the hill. Ours hosts organised all we needed too - language tutoring for our daughter and extra housekeeping. 6 stars !
One of the best houses we've stayed in. Wow, what a holiday! We've just returned from a fantastic week at the house and all 14 of us have nothing but praise for the whole week. The house has been beautifully renovated and is perfectly equipped in every way. We ranged from 75 to 1 yr old and had plenty of space for us all. From the crisp white linen on the very comfy beds to the pizza oven, full sized bar, the lovely sun loungers and very well equipped kitchen... We couldn't have asked for more. The kids loved picking tomatoes and lettuce from the kitchen garden and my sister and I loved the fabulous gym with amazing views across the valley. In the run up to the holiday, I had all my questions answered by Mark and George was on hand for anything we needed during our stay. We're already planning our return visit next year, hopefully for a couple of weeks as one just isn't enough!
What can I say, we’ve had the loveliest fortnight at Maison Charvin. Just the loveliest house, perfectly equipped, a cook’s heaven. Downside? Almost none. Biting insects were a bit of an issue, but we found Picosa insect repellent from the Intermarché in Capendu worked really well. (Get the one with “tiger mosquito” on the label). Vins de Dagne was great for dinner. Service a bit slow on our first visit but a fabulous last-night meal on our final night. Local supermarket in the village was closed during our stay, but the Intermarché in Capendu is only 10-15 minutes and there’s a nice baker in Lagrasse. (Could also order from Vins de Dagne, but we never really got our act together). We’d love to return, à bientôt!

We are delighted with our stay in Villa Signado. Quiet, in a green setting, with your feet in the water and under the sun for two weeks... it was great!! This spacious villa and outdoor setting invites to a relaxing getaway. Béziers, Pézenas, Sigean, Cap d'Agde, Sète... detours rewarded by very beautiful discoveries. We will gladly come back!
We returned to Maison Charvin, Montlaur for the second year running. Returning to the same holiday destination can sometimes be a mistake, for obvious reasons, but definitely not in this case. Everything was exactly as we remembered it.:-) Maison Charvin itself was a lovely, comfortable and roomy as ever. The house together with the restful garden and beautiful swimming pool made for some very relaxing days in the sun. The gorgeous surrounding countryside made for several enjoyable day trips to Carcassonne and Lagrasse to name but a few. Sharon, our host, was as ever attentive, gracious and extremely welcoming. Thank you once again for allowing us to visit your beautiful house for the second year in a row – it was every bit as enjoyable as our first visit.
The villa is located on the edge of Le Somail, a very, very quiet place just 3 minutes from the Canal du Midi. The villa is extraordinary! It even seemed smaller in the photos, but it’s actually very spacious. Well laid out, with separation between the sleeping area of the 4 bedrooms (each with its own bathroom/WC) and the living room. All rooms are air-conditioned. The outdoor area with the pool is excellent. No overlooking neighbors, and the pool gets sun almost all day! (It is cleaned twice a week). Lily and her mother, who welcomed us, were pleasant, helpful, and very responsive.

Absolutely delicious property in a beautiful part of the world. The property is very well maintained and rustic. I can recommend to any group planning a stay in the Dordogne. Our stay was in mid April when the weather started to improve. 26 degrees on our last day, perfect!
Stunning retreat Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our time in your gorgeous home. We all spent hours in the pool and visited the neighbouring vineyard for some delicious rose, Corinne's daughter Chloe served up some fantastic food and Isabelle looked after the kids while we escaped two nights. It really is a stunning retreat.
We have had an amazing two weeks here in this lovely home. We have enjoyed exploring the local area. We loved kayaking and using a pedalo on the River Lot. We have made really good use of the pool and the secret garden. Thank you so much Alan and Madeline for all your kindness and consideration - and especially taking us on that lovely walk. Went to this beautiful holiday cottage for the second time. What a great experience again this time. We were warmly welcomed and our house felt like coming home again. Host and hostess Leo and Esther gave us great tips so that our holiday became a great experience again. The visit to Nîmes was impressively beautiful. I especially recommend visiting Avignon to everyone with its beautiful center and the cozy terraces around the market square. The swimming pool overlooking the vineyards is a pearl. The silence descends on you wonderfully in the evening. Truly unique. Thank you for another great holiday.
We certainly had a restful and memorable holiday at Château Monjardin... the house and grounds are magnificent and provided a lovely quiet retreat that the whole family enjoyed.

We had a lovely stay with 14 adults and 4 little ones (10 months - 3 years). For starters, the pool: big enough, seats for everyone and enough shadow. The patio: magnificent view, spacious, enough shadow under the big tree and a covered dining space with both a BBQ and a plancha where we had all our meals. The house: perfect to our needs. Bedrooms with space for beds for the kids, almost every room had a private bath room and more than enough space. We had two days with bad weather, no problem we split up in groups where one group could play one of the available board games and another one playing the available PS and another one playing together with the little ones. The kitchen had everything and there was an extra toilet for use during the day. On top of this, there was a nice pétanque range, ping pong table, pool table, basket ring with all supplies available, more than enough parking space (we had 7 cars).
We would certainly recommend Maison Louis Richard. A unique and very enjoyable place to stay, with excellent hosts!
WHAT A PLACE! The Loft has everything you could possibly hope for - homeliness, elegance, well-equipped, clearly well-cared for, and such gracious hosts; we simply could not have hoped for more. Thank you for all your hospitality, and for providing breakfast on our first day which was an exceptional touch. All the information you have provided has been spot-on, and we can only hope for the opportunity to return to try more of the restaurants (and the wines). From pool days to skydiving and hedgehog rescue, this holiday will live long in the memory - even the techno DJ set in Carcassonne thumping through our dinner, as they dropped the bass during our hors d’oeuvres, made us laugh!
Great place in a lovely part of the Lot valley. The house comfortably can sleep 18 or so. Lovely pool and grounds with a sports hall with plenty of options to keep kids busy. Must have a car when staying. The owners Richard and Nicky are very helpful if need anything at all. Lovely wine cave as well (stocked). Great week had by all.
We had a great time at this big house. It is very well-equipped for a dozen people. The pool is very appreciated, as well as the amenities offered (pétanque, badminton, ping pong...). Shops are accessible by car. The environment is very quiet, overlooking the fields and the forest which makes the house all the more pleasant.

First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. What a lovely time we had! Our two week stay could not have been better. As others have said, the location is a perfect mix of rural quiet and peace, while being close enough to an excellent bakery and convenient shop. If you are lucky enough to holiday there, don’t miss the wonderful restaurants nearby. Debbie is the most amazing host, always there when you need her and very discreet. Her thoughtful and knowledgeable suggestions added immeasurably to our enjoyment.
We spent a week here with extended family and loved it. The house was beautifully decorated and well kitted out. The kids particularly loved the pool which was secure so the adults could relax knowing the kids couldn’t get into it alone. Bedrooms all very spacious and comfortable. The location is great too. Monsegur is a lovely little town with a couple of great boulangeries and really good restaurants and nightlife.

We had the most amazing stay at Château Périgord. Twelve friends of 38 years celebrated two 65th birthday, one 60th birthday, two retirements and one 21st birthday. We couldn't think of a better place to celebrate. The house is magnificent and catered for all our needs. The owners have been amazing, thank you for all your recommendations. We will miss this place terribly, but what amazing memories we have, thank you!
Superb house for couples of friends or families with children. Each of the rooms has its own bathroom and WC, there are board games, bikes... and it is quiet.
An incredible place to disconnect! The hosts treated us very well and took care very well that we did not lack anything. The house is very comfortable and beautiful, fully equipped and with very comfortable beds. All the rooms are comfortable and beautiful. You can tell that they have thought of everything and that they take care of the details with affection. We leave delighted and in love with the region and the environment that surrounds this dream house.
Absolutely stunning. We visited the house last summer and had an absolutely amazing time. The house is stunning with views over to Grasse and down toward Cannes. As a family of 5 (children 8, 5 and 12 months), it had everything we needed including a god sized pool and the interiors of the house are beautiful. It is a short drive to the local supermarket and amenities and only 20 minutes drive to the beaches of Cannes and Antibes. Nearby Mougins and Grasse provide an abundance of restaurants. A car is a must as the house is accessed up a steep road but views are spectacular. We can't wait to visit again this summer.
