We stayed as a whole family, 6 adults and 2 children, for 4 days. The house has everything you need to enjoy a few days in the south of France. The owners have always been very friendly and willing to help with whatever was needed. Thanks.
Utterly charming property with wonderful views across the landscape. The property has a tasteful appearance and matched by comfortable furnishings and very well appointed. The swimming pool terrace is a superb elevated location from which to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the surrounding villages. The rooms are all a good size as are the unspoilt and private gardens, which are well stocked and quite attractive. We had a superb vacation with friends and we would certainly return again in the future. The local villages are blessed with an array of shops selling good quality local produce, as well as a selection of restaurants, bars, café s etc and we would recommend some of the local vineyards for excellent Rose du Provence wines. Highly recommended.
We spent 2 wonderfully relaxing weeks in this beautiful spot. The house was fantastic - spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, super comfy beds and well kitted out with great attention to detail, plus an excellent pool to keep cool in. And those views over the green lake from the outside seating area were stunning! It was a perfect base to explore the area from and we had lots of fun in the lake too, paddle boarding and swimming. Nick and Nicky were absolutely lovely, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Really appreciated the delicious welcome hamper too! Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
What a fantastic house. It is so peaceful. The views are amazing and the different light throughout the day makes it all wonderful. We loved the pool and having barbecues in the evening. Thank you.
Expect a warm welcome from friendly and helpful owners, Nicky and Richard to the lovey château. Beautifully located among vine covered fields and wooded hills, we'd enjoyed the peace, the views, the wonderful pool and the space. The château is not far from some pretty villages dotted around the River Lot and Cahors is only 25 minutes away. Plenty to do and see in the area, with the opportunity to return back to our holiday oasis where we could barbecue and relax or play a round of golf on site in their vast grounds. Loved it.
We had a lovely relaxing week staying in this wonderful house, which is perfectly located for exploring the area-it was just what we needed. Sarlat is beautiful and we enjoyed learning all about the history of this Medieval town as well as sampling the local cuisine. WE hope to come back soon.

From the warm welcome on the first day to our chats, drinks and little contacts throughout the week, you have been as much a highlight of our holiday as the wonderful home. And that is no mean feat... The Piglet Barn is immaculate throughout and has felt like our own home in this beautiful village. You and your friends around town have made us feel so welcome. We have honestly felt so privileged to have met you and we will absolutely be raving about you to friends and family when we get home.
Wow, wow and wow! The views are wonderful with the gorgeous sunsets. The whole family have loved all the facilities, particularly swimming in the multi-coloured lights at night.
We have stayed several times in this superb house, very well equipped, the swimming pool is great and the view is breathtaking. This little village is worth the detour.
Our stay at La Petite Maison Générille was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, this charming haven blends old-world elegance with soul-warming hospitality. The hosts are the heart of this home. Their graciousness, attention to detail, and open-hearted kindness transformed our visit into something unforgettable. One evening, as we enjoyed a glass of wine on the terrace, hot air balloons floateo across the distant sky - the kind of moment that lingers long after you've returned home. The rooms are exquisite-thoughtfully designed, impeccably clean, and filled with the kind of character that photographs simply can't capture. It's the kind of place where time slows down and you're gently reminded of what it means to truly relax. We came to La Petite Maison Générille as travelers... and left with new friends and a piece of this village etched into our hearts. We cannot wait to return!
We have been lucky enough to stay at Château Trieux a number of times and what a truly magical place it is! From the moment you approach the house, through fields of sunflowers, you feel transported into your dream holiday. Whatever your thing is - be it relaxing by the pool, playing tennis or just sitting by the river under the shade of the trees contemplating life - Château Trieux has it all. A visit to the market at Monflanquin is a must or enjoy a relaxing kayak along the river. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. We will be back!
Weary of election nonsense and pandemic restrictions, we sought respite in France and found it at Colombat Cottage.
What to say about this too short stay during which we had a great family vacation. From the very pleasant welcome of Karine and Pascal, from our great exchanges, from their listening to the needs everything was perfect. Charming owners and an incredible cottage where the days go by too quickly. We will miss the fishing pond and the donkeys and deer. Again a huge thank you for everything. We will be back.
We have had an amazing two weeks here in this lovely home. We have enjoyed exploring the local area. We loved kayaking and using a pedalo on the River Lot. We have made really good use of the pool and the secret garden. Thank you so much Alan and Madeline for all your kindness and consideration - and especially taking us on that lovely walk. A more tranquil spot in France you will not find. The house has 360-degree views across stunning French countryside that rolls and undulates towards a backdrop of the Pyrenees. It feels like you're a million miles from the stresses and strains of modern life, another world and yet within 20 minutes drive you can be in a huge supermarket that will cater for all your needs. The house itself is incredibly comfortable, with all mod cons. It sleeps 14 people in great comfort, including in two well-appointed cottages in the grounds. And yet it retains its cosy feel. Some days we lazed by the pool and ate our meals on one of the terraces, other days – when it was cooler - we lit the fire and settled in. It's genuinely as comfy inside as it is outside, which is not always the case in French holiday lets. Our young children were in heaven. When not swimming or playing tennis, they roamed the five acres of immaculately kept grounds, building camps, rowing on the small lake. There's snooker croquet and table tennis too, if it's wet. And then of course there is the party room. Set well away from the grown-up bedrooms, the party room has a bar, DJ–quality speaker system and a proper disco – glitter ball, lights and all. Incredible fun. You really won't want to leave the château and grounds at all – it's a self-contained little hill-top world - but if you do have itchy feet then there are lots of walks nearby, or you can visit one of the many beautiful French towns nearby (Mirepoix market is a must). I cannot wait to return.

Very nice house, ideal for a family weekend because each room has its own bathroom and an ideal room for the elderly. The decoration is very tasteful, we had an excellent weekend. Thank you Christophe. See you next time.
Jean and Martyn have created a wonderful place to come for a relaxing holiday. The house is really well equipped with everything you need. Providing 3 fridges was a brilliant idea and the house had great Wi-Fi! The pool was spotless and warm and the pool area was lovely- just across from the house, but not overlooked. The gardens are beautiful and the outside patio and kitchen were fab. We loved the short stroll to the village for bread. It’s a wonderful location. Highly recommended.
We would like to very highly recommend this grand idillic property in the tranquil rural setting of the Lot Valley. The quietness and peacefulness of the house and grounds is the perfect place to completely unwind, to read, draw, play boules, table tennis or relax with the family by the poolside area. The market town of Villeréal was particularly vibrant and trips into the Dordogne to Beynac for example is only an hour away. There is an abundance of local wines and vineyards to visit with exquisite cheeses and bread from the local markets. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We have returned totally refreshed and relaxed!
Such a great place to stay. It's so peaceful, really well laid out and perfect for groups big or small. Close enough to the main town and well located for golf or wine country. Hosts were super helpful and welcoming and the house itself is gorgeous. Great pool, facilities and entertaining areas - we'll definitely be going back.

The rooms each have their colour theme which are all very large and bright. The accommodation is very well equipped. To summarise a magnificent accommodation where you feel good!

We have been coming to the south of France for over 20 years and Maison Theron was the best we have stayed in. The decor, furnishings and bedding were such good quality, we felt like we were staying in a boutique hotel! The local housekeeper did an amazing job as the house was spotless when we arrived. We loved staying in your beautiful home. The facilities, garden, decor and views were stunning. Frederic has looked after us so well. We have taken long country walks, visited local villages and markets. We went to Les Eyzies for tones of incredible caves including Rouffignac.
