We have all loved our stay here. Wish we had booked 2 weeks. Very traditional but you have provided all the modern amenities needed, with out compromising that gîte feeling. Hope to return. enjoyed afternoons in the pool and watching the amazing sunset from the driveway. Enjoyed the live entertainment in the square of Verteillac outside Le Calice bar. Must visit the beautiful town of Brantôme.
We've had another wonderful stay at Le Tesquet. It has been our 3rd stay here and we love the gite, the surrounding views, the pretty villages and lots of good restaurants. Pete and Kate have been superb hosts and we could not have asked for anything more. We will be back next July.
Fantastic holiday in this fantastic mini-château. Having recently arrrived from California and staying with our French in-laws, it was a truly amazing holiday. Lots of eating, drinking, swimming, tourism and of course table-tennis. A bientôt.
Piglet is the prfect spot to visit all the graet spots in the Vendée, our favourite being La Rochelle and the Belugas beach. There are wonderful touches of luxury at the house; beautiful linens, towels and bathrobes. Vouvant is a charming and beautiful village. definitely a fabulous find !
We are a family of 4 who decided to discover the Périgord region. We looked at this property and fell in love with the outside: the château itself and the beautiful garden with a pool. The interior decoration was unique as there was a very pretty sitting room with a piano which reminded me of 18th century style while the dining room had more medieval features. The second floor had many bedrooms which was very good for the rest of our family who joined us later. On that floor, there is also a second TV room where all the teenagers hung out . We dined inside in the morning and outside in the evening. We enjoyed barbecues and (a lot of) good wine. The neighbors, who are also friends of the owner , were very helpful and nice. We discovered all kinds of attractions like visiting castles, tasting wine, kayaking on the Dordogne and going to huge parties organized by different villages through the summer. In short , we enjoyed our vacation in this beautiful château very much! We’ll definitely come back for another vacation.
As a group of 7 from age 2 to 62 and having had similar holidays in recent years this has been the best. Wonderfully well equipped with thoughtful advice everywhere. Everybody loved the pool and there are plenty to things to see and do in the area, thanks again.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa du Château. The location was excellent—peaceful and quiet, with breathtaking views in every direction. The interiors were charming, and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The views were spectacular, and we especially enjoyed having breakfast outside in the sunshine every morning. The property is also ideally located, with cafés and bars just a short walk away, and a supermarket only a few minutes’ drive away. Claire met us just a few minutes from the property to make sure we found it easily. He gave us a very warm welcome and took the time to show us around the house, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a fantastic stay in a truly beautiful setting and would happily return.
Thank you for an amazing stay in this wonderful house, the view, kitchen facilities and the entertainment available were all perfect. We enjoyed the bbq every night in the garden and early morning swims. The house was equipped with everything we needed we cooked with herbs from the garden and improved our pool playing. The wine tasting next door was very special, we liked the decor in every room and would recommend this house to stay in, its a lovely place. We had an incredible holiday.
Our second time at this beautiful house. From the moment of arrived we were relaxed. The place is so tastefully furnished, the pool so welcoming. But most of all the hosts themselves make you feel very incredibly welcome and couldn't be more helpful. We had amazing weather for the week so we didn't venture far from the pool at all. One of our best holidays ever. We just wanted to thank you for such an amazing holiday in your beautiful home; it was indeed a wonderful stay - one of our best holidays ever, hands down. As well as the fantastic pool, the elegant interiors, and the lovely gardens, we really appreciated how well equipped the kitchen is. With several keen cooks, they were in their elements! Villa everything and more! fantastic villa, pool and table tennis great fun! Pézenas lovely 15 - 20 minutes easy walk! Lots of great restaurants. Beach between Sète and Agde very good and not too many people.
Thank you for the most wonderful month in Château du Marquey. This is the best house we've stayed in. The rooms are all beautiful and extremely comfortable. The grounds, pool and summer kitchen are magnificent. The two dinners by the private chef, Mylène and Édouard, were delicious and a wonderful experience in the gorgeous dining room. It gave us the perfect opportunity to dress up. The cycling for pensioners has helped work off some of the delicious cheese and wine. You and Philippe have been marvellous hosts, accommodating all our guests' various comings and goings. We will be very sad to leave. Thank you so much!

We have had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. Many thanks for the beautiful house and views. We have enjoyed the pool, the sunshine, the fantastic pool and of course the piano. As musicians having a piano was important. To learn the house was belonging a famous jazz pianist was awesome! We have played jazz everyday and the sound of piano across the evening air was a dream. Château Mézard really is as lovely as it is depicted on the website! It was a magical place for a holiday. The house and grounds were amazing, the set-up of the house provides great privacy even for a large group. Exploring the surrounding countryside, towns and cities provided the perfect French country get away. Returning to the amazing luxury of the château for a dinner on the terrace or a swim in the pool was the highlight of each day.
From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer beauty and tranquility of the place. With its origins dating back to the 13th century, the château has been lovingly restored with modern comforts, making it feel both grand and welcoming. The spacious interiors, well-equipped kitchen, and multiple lounges gave us room to relax while the children played safely. The setting is stunning; panoramic views of rolling hills, vineyards, and pure countryside bliss. It felt wonderfully remote and peaceful, yet we were still close enough to explore local villages and markets when we wanted a little outing. Limoux was right on the doorstep (12 minutes by car) with a local market, boulangeries, patisseries and Supermarchés. A Special Thanks to Quentin, the owner, who was absolutely charming. He made us feel genuinely welcome and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, including fresh pastries on our first morning. His passion for the château and its history really added to the experience, it’s clear he’s poured his heart into the place. The only thing we could fault was the weather which was out of our control! It meant that the pool, which wasn't heated, was slightly 'fresh' but still bearable!
We had the most amazing time - thank you so much! A beautiful house in the most beautiful setting. We could happily stay for ever. Seven adults and a handful of kids between 1-12 and it was perfect. We are already planning to come back next year!

This was our sixth visit to Maison Baleyssagues - it really is a perfect place to stay! The villa was as comfortable and elegant as always with lots of stylish new touches that we enjoyed. There’s everything a family can possibly need from games and books to a wonderful new kitchen to fantastic grounds to walk and play in. The pool in particular was well used as it was so hot during our visit. It's a lovely place to swim and relax. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and offers lots of fun and interesting places to visit with some great restaurants nearby. Particular favourites to eat for us are La Terrasse in Duras and Restaurant Italian Des Arcades in Eymet. The night market in Duras is also well worth a visit to try local wines and food. This was our sixth visit to the villa but it won’t be our last!
We LOVED our stay at Mas du Château. It is in such a beautiful, peaceful spot and the gite itself is great. Christophe has renovated it perfectly, with everything you could want - a real home from home- and he has thought of every last detail to make his guests comfortable. The pool area is fantastic, with a lovely shaded area to cook/eat outside. We were travelling with a young baby and there was everything we needed in the house for her too, which was brilliant! Christophe was on hand to help during our stay and was so friendly. We would definitely love to go back again. Thank you for such a great stay!
Our family stayed at the Mas de Lozanne for two weeks and it was a resounding success with us all. The property was exactly as described in the details and photographs - light airy rooms, a beautiful garden and one of the best pools I've ever seen in a private house. The air conditioning was very welcome as we were there in a heatwave! Dom and Ina looked after us very well and answered all our queries. Pèzenas is a lovely little place and we certainly hope to return. I had never heard of Pure France before coming across them on the net and it's always a slightly scary thing to send several thousand Euros 'into the ether' in this age of Internet scams. However I need not have worried as this agency was extremely efficient and straightforward in all our dealings, answering my queries by return. I would like to thank them and would certainly recommend them.
I enjoyed a wonderful stay with friends. The hosts Kirstie and Russell have thought of everything and are on hand if you need anything at all. Beautiful decor, spacious living area and bedrooms. Comfortable beds and powerful showers. The patio and outdoor area is also lovely with great views across surrounding land. The gite is in a lovely peaceful location, but close to historic towns if you like to explore. We also went on a fantastic local wine tasting experience recommended by Russell.
