Mercantour National Park in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence

Situated in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Alpes-Maritimes departments, the Mercantour National Park covers an area of 685 km². Since its creation in 1979, it consists of forests and snowy peak with summits reaching more than 3,000m. Visitors to the park can walk the 600 km of marked footpaths whilst enjoying the wide variety of fauna, flora and mixed landscapes with seven valleys to explore along with many lakes including Lake Allos, Lake Lauzanier and Lake Vens.

Family friendly Gruissan beach

Under the Bages boardwalks

Sigean Zoo

Get up-close to 3,800 animals, set over 300 hectares at Sigean Zoo (Réserve Africaine de Sigean) in Languedoc-Roussillon, Occitaine. Located in the south of France, between Narbonne and Perpignan, on the Mediterranean coast and along salt-lakes lining the Languedoc coast, the Zoo hosts was created by Paul de La Panouse and Daniel de Monfreid and opened to the public on the 8th April 1974.
