Anthony and Rachel make wonderful hosts being friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and also very generous with their excellent "welcome pack". We loved the whole region: Carcassonne and Mirepoix are a "must" (the owners of the "Mad Hatter" cafe in Mirepoix are Brits) and we enjoyed the markets at Mirepoix and Revel. Also enjoyed the drive south from Revel through the pretty villages/small town of Saissac. Lagrasse is a pleasant village but a tad overrated in our view. On the other hand, we loved Minerve and the Minervois region including the small town of Caunes-Minervois. Fontfroide is worth a visit and Montesegur is a must if in that area. We enjoyed Peyriac de-Mer and Gruissan on the coast but would avoid Narbonne Plage on another occasion - great beach though! Toulouse is a pleasant city and worth a visit if cities are "your thing" and the SNCF smartphone app worked brilliantly. For a special lunch, Cote Resto is a must. Excellent food and in a wonderful setting.

Fantastic 10 days at Maison Joutard. The highlights:- Fantastic welcome pack. House and garden perfect for our toddlers. Equipped with everything we needed. We visited Cognac, Bordeaux, Villefagnan. Cycling to the bakery in Verdille. Whole experience highly recommended.

Just returned from an outstanding holiday at the Orchard Farmhouse! The pool and grounds were just fantastic - it did help with three days at 30+ degrees! First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. We have had aan amazing 2 weeks here. Honestly this house is gorgeous. The sunsets here are like no others. Would recommend visiting local wine producers, cycling through the vineyards and generally exploring the local area. We also visited a bunch of markets up in the mountains and went to watch the Bastille day fireworks. Would love to come back soon!
A memorable week in Les Trois Maisons de Valescure. Our host Thomas was very caring and attentive. Very good services (top bedding and cleanliness, nothing to complain about. A pleasant break in a magnificent and relaxing place. Thank you very much for the welcome and your kindness. We will come back with pleasure!
We had a lovely week in this quaint house. It was secluded with a lovely pool which was cleaned twice during our week. Which was ideal as it was quite windy. We had no faults with our stay and the owner was helpful when required. I would like to point out that air conditioning is only downstairs, kitchen and bedroom with pull out sofa bed in. There was an air conditioning unit in the top bedroom which was satisfactory. That would be my only comment on what was a lovely week that it should be clearer in the description where it is.
The property Mas des Rivailles is a super place in a great part of France. One of the best swimming pools we have experienced and the family used it all day every day during our stay. The house is really comfortable with lots of areas where the family could spread out to do some work or just have time on their own. Having three formal eating areas meant we could mix it up where we had lunch and dinner. There are great countryside views from all of the windows and the house is in a very peaceful and serene setting. I must commend Frederic, the local property manager. He was there to greet us when we arrived and lead us through the property and all of the bits and pieces and local knowledge which made the experience so great. He is very solution focussed and solved minor issues in a no nonsense, relaxed and timely fashion. Many thanks for all.

Amazing lunch spreads on the big table every day accompanied by tasing of rose and red wine. Stunning BBQ dinners every evening. Sitting by the pool, staring at the view and saying 'wow'! on a regular basis. Kids very happy in the cinema for slightly too many hours! What a stunning pace and what a privilege to have visited here. Thank you. Look forward to returning one day.
We had a lovely lazy two weeks by the pool! With the hot weather the air conditioning was very welcoming at night time. We have used Pure France several times over the last 6 years and this villa has definitely been the best equipped and most accurately described. 5 / 5.

The perfect holiday home. Beautifully furnished with a huge pool, deck and garden. It's spacious and airy and perfectly situated for a family holiday. Homps is a charming little town within easy reach of Carcassonne and Narbonne. We loved the pizzeria next door and the corner shop on the quayside selling fresh bread daily. We can't wait to go back!
What a house! What a setting! FANTASTIC!! We’ve loved the house, the pool, the welcome. We stayed for 2 weeks with an average temp of 33°C – highlight: having a drink in the pool with the kids. But a few other things were great too: Cycling. A visit to the Château de Lastours and the medieval Carcassonne area. (Minerve is recommended!) A visit to Saint-Chinian. Visited Cuxac and bought some beautiful souvenirs for friends. Thanks for a fantastic week! We will come back. P.S. With small children going for pizza at Minerve – La Pizzaterie was very easy-going.
We spent two wonderful weeks at Villa Lavinière and visited lots of beautiful places in the region. Villa Lavinière is a very cozy house, decorated with good taste and well equipped! Thank you.
We had a wonderful week’s stay at this amazing chateau. We were a family of four (two adults, two teenagers) and couldn’t have wished for a better week. The pool was very popular, and the garden was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Michelle has renovated and finished the whole building with attention to detail and the pictures, as impressive as they are, don’t really do it justice. Wish we could have stayed longer!
I'm going to preface this review by saying our extended family have hired a number of châteaux over the years, so we have something to make comparisons with! Without doubt this château offered the best value for money we have ever enjoyed. Our party of 18 used all the 10 bedrooms on offer, without anyone having to compromise on bedroom space. The kitchen was large enough to cater for the entire party with plenty of worktop space and a large island unit. Refreshingly there are plenty of cooking utensils and professional sized pans etc. There are three fridges, we used the large stand alone fridge for food,= and the two under counter fridges for 'adults' and kids drinks. The lounge diner is huge and comfortable, with good quality games available, including chess and backgammon. The pool is among the largest we've ever enjoyed with a deep end you can actually dive into. At points we had a dozen people in the pool and still had room to swim around. There are two main terraces, both easily able to accommodate at least 20 people. Smaller seating areas are dotted around the grounds so if inclined you can take yourself off for a bit of peace and quiet. There is a new and very good quality BBQ on the rear terrace with a moving charcoal tray which means you can raise the heat source as charcoal burns away. We were able to BBQ for 18 on half a bag of lump wood. Our party had 5 cars, the driveway was large enough for them to be parked so that everyone could drive out of the château without the need to move another vehicle. Saving the best to last, the sports hall/games room is magnificent. With a full sized badminton court, a basket ball hoop, 2 table tennis tables, table football, a darts board,= and a full sized pool table our whole party had plenty of activities to choose from. This facility was constantly used for weeklong knockout completions including our own decathlon type event. Modesty prevents me revealing who the best pool player was. From our perspective, this vast array of facilities and activities provided the perfect ingredients for our first ever holiday where children needed no entertaining at all. Finally a place they can truly entertain themselves.
The château is very beautiful and the atmosphere with the people is really great. I am very happy to have stayed at a magnificent castle. A big thank you to the owner.
We would just like to say a massive thank you for the week we have just spent at Pech d'aze. It truly is a fantastic home. We could have stayed another week so easily! It was so peaceful and every night we would watch the sunset from the field below with a bottle of wine and listen to the frogs singing from the pond. Weather was lovely and both of us made good use of the pool. We had a BBQ every night and left charcoal for the next lucky guests
Fantastic house The Lake House is a wonderful choice if you have a large group staying around Annecy. The location is stunning, and Talloires village itself is beautiful. This fantastic house is equipped with everything that you could possibly need, and is just a short (uphill) stroll from the village with its various restaurants, cafes and shops. Claude and Michelle were great hosts, gave us a warm welcome, and were very responsive to all communication.
A lovely 2nd week of our 2025 French trip here in The Piglet Barn. More relaxing than planned due to lovely high temperatures ! But where better to chill out than in the garden and pool. Saturday music evening and pizza man were great fun. And our hosts... well, thank you Annie and John for the warm welcome and excellent hospitality.
Time seems to pass so quickly when staying in this lovely house in such a lovely place. We have enjoyed a glorious week with many happy hours in and around the pool with our children and grandchildren. And, we have enjoyed exploring – once again – this beautiful part of France. I spent a week at this villa in September with my young family. It was perfect. Villa: The property itself is beautiful. It enjoys a large plot and is nicely secluded. The property is very well maintained. The bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen etc. look as they have recently been refurbished. The pool area / gardens are stunning and very well secluded. There is a pool-house equipped with a brick barbecue, kitchen / dining area and shower / toilet. We spent most of our time in this area. Location: The drive from Nice airport is about 45 minutes - it's quite a straightforward journey, mostly on the motorway. I believe Marseille airport is a similar distance away. The property sits in a very nice, secluded area close to many vineyards. The town square (Vidauban) is about 5 minutes' drive from the property. There you will find everything you need from supermarkets through to restaurants and bars. St Tropez, Cannes and Monaco are all under 1 hour away by car Overall, I would highly recommend this villa. I have stayed at other villas in France, which have felt quite dated. This property has been very well maintained and modernised, but still has that French charm about it. We will definitely be returning to this property
