Thank you for a lovely time in your beautiful home. The pool is amazing as well as the views. We've had a wonderful time visiting Eymet, Duras, Monsegur the Médoc and Saint-Émilion. We recommend the night markets, especially Monsegur. Thanks to Frédéric who has been so helpful. Thank you again.
We have had a a relaxing week in this lovely gite. Madeline and Alan are great hosts. Respect your space but on hand for advice, local knowledge and a chat. We enjoyed kayaking on the Lot, exploring the local area on our bikes and enjoyed using the lovely pool each day (our son's favourite part!). We loved our visit to the Latour-Marliac for a great lunch and a lovely walk around the gardens and amazing water lilies. On our last night we had a great meal in the fish restaurant 'Blue Marine', Villeneuve-sur-Lot. We also had a nice meal in the week at 'La Commonderie' at Temple-sur-Lot. A great holiday. Thank you. Hope to visit again.

We had a wonderful week in La Tourouzelle. The large pool and adjoining deck was a gift in the strong sun. The house has everything you would want, with each bed and couch as comfortable as the next! The view from the terrace, taking in the vines, the woods and even the Pyrénées is breathtaking!
Can't believe the stay is almost at an end. We have had a lovely time and the weather promised poorly but delivered very well, which enabled daily swimming in the brilliant pool. We all enjoyed the games of TT (table tennis) and boules competitions. So many interesting things to do in the surrounding area; we only managed Bergerac twice. Once for a wine tasting in the wonderful Maison du Vin and once for a very enjoyable boat trip. Golfing Black Kheri and the walk around the lake Les Graoussettes. The cave at Les Eyzies was very informative and curious to note the difference in scenery; handles not to be missed! Apart from the BBQ provided, we happened on Thursday Market at Monpazier; simply great and such a pretty place. We also enjoyed the marché gourmand at Villeréal (every Monday from 6.30pm. Bring tablecloth, cutlery and drinking vessels). Their counterparts in Issigeac on Thursdays during summer. Restaurant L’Atelier in Issigeac was a wonderful treat on our penultimate day and we would suggest booking a place at their mini, shared table and great food and plenty of wine.
Wow… what an amazing villa, it's just so beautiful. We had an amazing family holiday… Debbie and Brent also made our experience so memorable and really have provided a fantastic service.
We had a great time at the house - everything went smoothly. We also spent a fair bit of time exploring the general area although we always ended up back at the large table with a glass of rose taking in the view over the vines come end of day!
We had the most wonderful stay at the Château Périgord. The building is so incredibly beautiful and full of atmosphere. We all loved it and will have many happy memories from our stay here. Merci beaucoup!
Our family of 10 stayed here for a week and we loved every minute. The attention to detail in the chateau was wonderful. Everything we could have needed was provided. Philippe and Frederique were the most wonderful hosts. We highly recommend Chateau de Marquisat!
Les Fumerates is a stylish and comfortable home-away-from-home in the South of France. It's a great base from which to explore the delightful village of Saint Paul De Vence, but most of your stay here should be spent unwinding by the villa's fabulous (and heated!) swimming pool with a good book and soaking up the panoramic views. Highly recommended for a quiet and relaxing trip with your nearest and dearest.
Maison Des Vignobles is a property full of character features and a really high level of facilities with thoughtful finishing touches. Very spacious downstairs is complemented by a superb master bedroom with large en suite looking out over the neighbouring vineyard. Top quality plumbing next to period features is always good! Debbie was the perfect neighbour/owner, being super helpful and generous with a welcome pack and her local knowledge. The laundry room with local products for sale (including wine) was an unexpected bonus. The courtyard, pool and gardens are all lovely, though one tiny shame is that they are on the other side of the house from the big view across the vineyard - but many of the windows have that view so no reason to miss the sunsets and stars.
What an amazing place. We have all loved every minute of our fabulous holiday. The house and pool are great - lots of fun has been had! We hope very much to return one day. Many thanks.
We have just returned from a wonderful ten day stay at Château des Grillauds with our three children (aged 8, 7 and 5). The château and grounds are absolutely beautiful and perfect for a peaceful (except for the children) break. The children loved and lived in, the swimming pool all day and fell asleep each night watching movies in the upstairs lounge, while the adults enjoyed the elegant charm of the house and (a few bottles of) the local produce. I almost didn't write a review because I wanted to keep this gem of a house a secret, but we could not recommend it highly enough. Special thanks are due to next door neighbours who welcomed us and could not have been more helpful or better company during our stay; including taking us to Le Pizou for the local Tuesday evening fiesta (wrong word I'm sure). In summary, a magical ten days - can't wait to come back.
We love this house! Thank you for having us. The Loire valley is stunning and it is great having a comfortable home to return to at the end of the day. Our daughter LOVES the beautiful garden. Everything was perfect and we hope to return some day.
We had a fantastic week in Sarlat and around. The perfect base for a family holiday. We loved the gardens as Eyrignac and Marqueyssac in particular but there was so much to do and see here The Bistro De L’Octroi across the road is fantastic. Thanks Jackie and Geoff.
Beautifully restored property of great character. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm. The location is peaceful, with fabulous views over the vineyards, yet within an easy drive to many places of interest. Outside, there are plenty of areas to relax in the sun or shade. Very generous welcome gifts, including two bottles of top quality Blanquette de Limoux and delicious pastries (and a second delivery of pastries later during our stay!). The open garage was large enough to shade our van, motorbike and cycles. Above all, Quentin was the most wonderfully kind host. A truly memorable experience. Highly recommended.
We have just finished a two-week family trip. The house was simply great! Excellent facilities and the air conditioning in the rooms is a real life saver. The property is eccentric! And there are so many small terraces and places outside where we found that we never sat. The location is great for day trips and we enjoyed swimming in the pool after a busy day. We were a group of several generations and everyone loved it! The neighbourhood is great and within walking distance. Local bakery, local fruit and vegetable stand as well as access to supermarkets. Thank you for your unforgettable stay!
Our second time at this beautiful house. From the moment of arrived we were relaxed. The place is so tastefully furnished, the pool so welcoming. But most of all the hosts themselves make you feel very incredibly welcome and couldn't be more helpful. We had amazing weather for the week so we didn't venture far from the pool at all. We are finally home and now reflecting on happy memories of our wonderful holiday in France and particularly our 10 nights spent here. Where do we begin to ever thank you for all that you did and for making our holiday so special. We felt like we had our own personal butler looking after us throughout our stay. Even prior to our arrival we welcomed the emails, the ease of booking and then promptly replying to any query that we had , as well as the phone call to offer help and support the week before we were scheduled to arrive. We really appreciated the welcome basket of goodies and all the other little things that you had thoughtfully put in the fridge, making our arrival into the gîte a very warm and welcome one. Your 'blood, sweat and tears' have truly paid off as we could see the attention to detail that has gone in to making this a luxury gîte for your guests. We noticed the quality of furnishings and fittings, bed linen, sumptuous soft towels and then separate towels laid out for us by the pool, all of which made for an exciting stay ahead! The beds were extremely comfortable and accompanied by the peace and tranquility at night meant we both woke each morning feeling fully refreshed! We particularly enjoyed our time spent around the swimming pool and also using the outdoor kitchen/BBQ. Everything was spotlessly clean and we know that you ensured the pool area was cleaned down for us every morning. We were blessed with good weather too. The views from the terrace were stunning and we never tired from sitting there overlooking the local Cuzorn area and the valley beyond. It was a pleasure getting to know you and hearing about your journey from Essex to Lot-et-Garonne. For us, as first guests it was a privilege staying at Lasserre and we will be talking about you and our holiday for years to come. I equally hope that for you and Kate your first guests did not let you down and we have left a wonderful impression on you too! We sincerely hope that you are rewarded for the fruits of your labour and whilst we would like you to have a busy season, just secretly we would like to keep this little bit of heaven purely for us!
We had a great time here for 2 weeks with the family. The house is well equipped and the family really enjoyed the pool.
We have at last found paradise in a place we could all share. Thank you for sharing this beautiful, peaceful house. The countryside for early morning sun, endless swim day and night. The bird watching and the lazing in the shade. We had great fun wine tasting locally and having been blessed with stunning weather we have had long al fresco meal every day. I think we have made the most of all the games and puzzles inside and out and no TV! À bientôt!

We had the most lovely week at La Chartreuse de Montfort for a week in the middle of September. The weather was gorgeous and sunny during the day but slightly autumnal in the morning and evening, so we ate breakfast outside but dinner inside around the lovely dining table with a fire in the amazing wood burner to give that cosy feeling to the sitting room. As a group of 10 friends, the house was lovely and spacious with plenty of room for everyone to eat, sit inside or out or enjoy some quiet time in the little study as they wished. The views from the terrace are extraordinary! Ever changing - amazing sunrises with the mist hanging in the valley and then the meandering Dordogne river below. The pool was lovely, warm and easy to access but rather nice that it was situated on the lower terrace so you could have a peaceful swim. The house itself it completely private yet only 10 minutes away from the supermarket and the lovely medieval town of Sarlat. So much to do in the area that you are spoilt for choice - castles, walking, cycling, canoeing, gardens, caves and ancient dwellings, markets - and plenty of excellent places to eat - highly recommend Ô Moulin in Carsac for an extraordinary culinary experience. To be honest, though, the house is so well equipped and comfortable, eating dinner ‘chez-nous’ was our preferred option, washed down with excellent local Bergerac wines! Was the holiday long enough? Certainly not! Would we go again? Absolutely, can’t wait!
Lovely house in an ideal situation. We had a wonderful time doing a little exploring but mainly lying by the beautiful pool. It's an ideal design to sit in and cool off. Two minutes walk for croissants in the morning and Rose wine in the afternoon - the Supermarket! We agree its a 5 / 5.
Lovely authentic French house set in beautiful grounds and perfectly located to access local amenities. Very well equipped, making it a home from home.
