We had a lovely lazy two weeks by the pool! With the hot weather the air conditioning was very welcoming at night time. We have used Pure France several times over the last 6 years and this villa has definitely been the best equipped and most accurately described. 5 / 5.
Our second stay at 'Mel's place', the first was in 2012. Returned with 2 more grand children and a grand son's girlfriend. Have stayed in many houses over the years - this is by far the best. Brilliant pool for everyone, loads of space for the children to play and a secret garden if you want to get away from it. We didn't go far - we just enjoyed the opportunity for us all to get together for a relaxing holiday. Also there is so much equipment and toys for the children - Mel's thought of everything, an excellent host.
Thanks for a truly wonderful week. The house, garden and pool are really fabulous. We had a wonderfully relaxing time and didn't do as much exploring as we should have done as we couldn't tear ourselves away from the garden / pool. Don't miss Friday evening in Pézenas with the high street market, food, wine and music.
Three night weekend stay with friends. Very comfortable accommodation decorated to a high standard. Upstairs kitchen, lounge and patio looked over the pool. Brilliant. It was Bastille weekend and World Cup final. Lots going on in village square, bars and restaurants. Beach about 20 minutes drive - really nice with excellent restaurant. Shops and supermarket close by were very helpful. Visited Béziers and Narbonne about 30 minutes drive. Well worth the trip We had a great time and will definitely go back again!
Went to this beautiful holiday cottage for the second time. What a great experience again this time. We were warmly welcomed and our house felt like coming home again. Host and hostess Leo and Esther gave us great tips so that our holiday became a great experience again. The visit to Nîmes was impressively beautiful. I especially recommend visiting Avignon to everyone with its beautiful center and the cozy terraces around the market square. The swimming pool overlooking the vineyards is a pearl. The silence descends on you wonderfully in the evening. Truly unique. Thank you for another great holiday.
An absolutely amazing stay – we will return! We had the most wonderful 6-day stay at Petite Maison de Campagne. Set in a peaceful, tranquil location, we woke up each morning to the sights and sounds of cows from the neighbouring farm grazing in the fields – such a lovely view to enjoy while having coffee and breakfast. The pool and sun loungers were exactly what we needed for the hot French summer, and our son loved relaxing in the hammock under the trees. The property itself has been beautifully restored, with everything you could possibly want or need – including Wi-Fi (essential when travelling with two teens!). Our host was fantastic from start to finish. Communication was clear and friendly from the moment we booked, with all the information we needed to find the property and settle in. She even recommended some brilliant places to visit. I had one query during our stay, which she answered promptly and helpfully. The surrounding area offers so much to see and do – we only managed a fraction of it, so we’ll definitely have to come back to explore more. I highly recommend La Maison Nid to anyone looking for a relaxing yet well-equipped place to stay in this beautiful part of France. We loved it and can’t wait to return.
We have had a great quiet stay in your house! We went one day to Carcassonne by car and visit the beautiful area. The pool is great, we will miss it!
We now have a special place in our hearts for the local village, Fayence. What a truly beautiful spot and the most wonderful house to make some amazing memories. Maximum pool time, lunches in Cannes. Best time and best memories made.

Fantastic stay in a wonderful house. Wonderful house for 7 people. The rooms were very spacious, as was the outside space. Excellent for families I would say. Very warm welcome by the host and pool was attended to throughout. Nice touch of having towels and bed linen changed during the stay for no extra charge (a first). Many thanks to Victoire and Gaby.

Thank you Karen and Russell for giving us the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful place. The Loft du Vigneron is one of the nicest places we have stayed, and we have stayed in many. The warm welcome we received when we arrived was lovely after our tiring journey. It was great to have you show us around, and your welcome pack was more than generous. The facilities here are all 5-Star; the Loft is spacious and airy, and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and crockery and everything that you need, and more besides. All the ensuite bathrooms are of the highest standard with fluffy towels and pamper products (I want a new bathroom when I go home - I was spoiled here). Karen and Russell, you really know how to look after your guests and spoil them. We can't wait to come back next year for two weeks - one was not enough!
Beautiful views, a lovely relaxing villa. We have really enjoyed the stay here. Minerve was worth a visit (town and caves), and the children really enjoyed it. The activities at the Carcassonne lake near Carcassonne.
Our week at the villa was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived we were struck by the peacefulness of the surroundings. The villa itself is beautifully maintained. It was very windy during our stay and Philippe came each morning to clean the pool! We spent hours in the pool - it is just beautiful! Every day brought a new adventure – the wine tasting tour at Le Cave was really interesting (although we did end up spending a fortune! Philippe was just the perfect host – so lovely. The pastries delivered twice weekly were lovely and a huge thank you to Philippe for the birthday cakes for my husband's 60th on the Friday! The meal that Philippe paid for at La Tour was just amazing – so much so we decided to return for birthday celebrations. It has been the kind of stay that recharges you in every way. We are leaving relaxed, inspired and already planning our return! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a serene French escape paired with genuine and caring hospitality! Thank you so much Philippe – we are so so sad to be leaving but wonderful memories made!

We had a fabulous week at the property and could not have asked for a better venue or a more convivial, friendly and helpful host. It was a pleasure to meet you and I can only stand back and admire your dedication, determination and fortitude in creating your dream property which came through so clearly in our conversation on the final morning before we left. It was a good holiday... enjoyed by all... but without doubt the venue and host were the stars of the show and we are so pleased to have had this opportunity to spend time with you and discover the area. We are returning guest since now more than 5 years. We love Villa Baleyssagues and Frédéric ! We love everything in the house and all the different changes/improvement in the house due to new ownership. Pool remain the same with its impressive shape ! The only negative point is that the house is rapidly fully booked !!!
I just wanted to say thank you – we had a wonderful time staying a le Mas de Pitou – it was by far the most perfect place we have stayed in France in over 10 years! The location and setting were ideal, we had some lovely walks straight from the door and the special touch of your fantastic welcome basket of fruit and vegetables was gorgeous! We will be back and will certainly recommend to friends. Carole also was great – friendly, informative and helpful.
Lovely quiet gîtes with beautiful views over the wine fields. Close to Uzès, a very pretty historical market town (20 min. by car). The gîtes provide everything you need, i.e. comfortable beds, spacious bathroom, cosy sitting room and fully equipped kitchen. There is a swimming pool with lounge beds and our gîte (L'Oliveraie) even had a small private pool. The area is great for walk through the woods and over the wine field. There are restaurants in the area that are a short drive away. We had a great and relaxing time and will definitely be back!
We’ve had such a fabulous week in this beautiful farmhouse. It’s very difficult to drag ourselves away from the pool, tennis court and, for some of us, the gym. The location – we thoroughly enjoyed the markets, Chinon and the woods – as well as the beautiful piano and luxuries of the house, have made this a truly memorable week for us with our grown-up children and their friends. This was the most perfect house for our extended family to reconnect and relax in. The house was beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. The outside spaces were lovely, with plenty of options for a large group to socialise. We particularly enjoyed the outside kitchen, pool and table tennis in the barn. The walk back from the local bar was lovely. All in all we would thoroughly recommend this property and hope to return one day. Thank you so much.

We have spent many happy holidays in France, but as this year is our 40th wedding anniversary we thought we should look for somewhere really special - and we found it! The house is a delight and the garden is the most beautiful place to rest and relax. The countryside around is very peaceful and charming and we greatly enjoyed the nearby towns and villages. The abbey at Fontevraud was a special highlight and the châteaux at Saumur, Chinon and Angers, which we last visited more than 30 years ago, were all well worth visiting again - so much restoration work has been done in the intervening years. We also liked the Corniche Angevine which runs along the South bank of the Loire between Rochefort and Challones and the many wine growing areas. The villa has been great. We have a lot of villas for a two week holiday and that is the first time we have had that. The two cleaning ladies are really thorough, very attentive and they do a great job.
We are three couples in our 60's from Colorado in the U.S. who enjoy travel, especially in Europe. Over the past three years we have traveled to Italy, Portugal, Spain and France. We would define ourselves as independent travelers enjoying the process of researching destinations, places to stay, renting cars and getting out to see a bigger world. That of course means getting lost from time to time, finding restaurants that are fabulous and some that are so-so and booking houses or B&Bs. My top five reasons for loving Maison Charvin include: 5. If after traveling to many parts of the world you find that smaller can be better as I have, Maison Charvin (MC) is a great fit. Located in the village of Montlaur where there is a small grocery store and a couple other small shops, people are friendly and you feel safe. It isn't too far from a number of good destinations. 4. Four bedrooms, all ensuite. Since we are no longer in our 20's we prefer some comforts and conveniences! Beds were comfortable and each couple had their own quiet space. We prefer renting one extra bedroom so, as happened on this trip, if one person gets sick or has jet lag and waking up at 4:00 am there is an extra room. 3. Fully stocked kitchen. I would start looking for some odd item like a garlic press and think I doubt there is one and lo and behold there always was what we needed! I've never stayed at a place that had a kitchen as well equipped. 2. Value - incredible value for a week's stay. We stayed during the lower season rate, but looking at the rates, it would be good value at anytime of the year. 1. The owner, Sharon. From the very start of communications she was helpful and timely in her email responses to my inquiries. And always with a great sense of humor. Earlier I mentioned we had some illness. Sharon took my wife and I to her doctor, waited with us, translated for us and went to the pharmacy to be sure we received the correct medications. It was easy to see that she wants her clients to have the best experience possible. If South Western France small towns are in your future, be sure to check out Maison Charvin!
The place is absolutely beautiful, the pictures don’t do it enough justice. The grounds are spacious, there’s a huge garden with everything you need in terms of a pool, BBQ, play area, etc. You have your own driveway and a covered car park.
This is the third time at Villa Kali and I can't think of any more superlatives. The villa ticks all the boxes and some. The beaches at Grau Agde and Portiragnes are well worth a visit as well as Valros with all its restaurants.
