Have had a great two weeks here in your wonderful house. Very spacious and well-appointed, tasteful and comfortable. Boys have thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We have appreciated tranquility and privacy. We have enjoyed exploring the area and sampling the local cuisine. Restaurant recommendations include Hotel-Restaurant du Château in Campagne, Auberge Médiévale Audrix and for rustic but delicious farmhouse cuisine - Auberge Rebeyrotte near Pressigirac Vicq. We were four related families of eight adults and 8 children aged 3-7. The palatial exterior of the Chateau belies the comfort and homeliness of its interior which boasts some of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. The shuttered windows and the judicious repositioning of a vase or two made it easy to child-proof the rooms. The magnificent parkland of trees, lawns and flower-beds offers a short-walk to a fully enclosed and secure open-air swimming pool, which was a particular highlight. The views across the surrounding countryside are simply stunning. We particularly valued the extensive space, the quiet and the privacy. Gaelle was extremely helpful in dealing with any queries and we are grateful to her and her family for sharing their home with a large group of complete strangers. Fiona
We liked it so much last year we came back to enjoy being at this most beautiful place – a little piece of paradise. It’s been very hot but the house is cool (and so comfortable) and the pool and the dining terrace make it perfect. Thanks to Mark and Janet for making it so lovely. We’ll be sad to leave.

A fantastic week at the villa. We were lucky enough to get a last minute booking when travel restrictions were listed. We were slightly anxious about travelling in these times but always felt safe and welcomed be the locals. We're so pleased we did come! The villa is very well equipped and Frederic was so informative and helpful. The massive selling point for us was the gorgeous pool and gardens as well as the stunning setting and amazing views from every angle! We spent many nights eating cheese and drinking wine while watching the sun set and then gazing at the star-rider sky. This is definitely one of the most beautiful parts of France we've been too. We enjoyed the local morning's and night's markets in Duras, kayaking down the Dropt river and would recommend visiting local town/villages like Eymet, Villeréal and others mentioned in the guide. St Emilion is also a family favorite and is a must-visit! We now have a car full of wine! Thanks for an amazing week! We hope to be back soon.
We had an excellent stay in this magnificent house where everything has been thought out so that young and old can make the most of the holidays. We were a group of 3 couples and 4 children and each got enough space and privacy. The house is very beautiful, well decorated and pleasant to live in. The garden is very beautiful and the pool area is perfect! The barn converted into a games room was also very popular (especially since the sun was not there). The kitchen is fully equipped. In short, we highly recommend this rental!
We spent a wonderful holiday in Bessan and in your splendid house. We have been to the local market in Bessan. Pézenas is superb, we tasted wine at the Domaine Pal Mas and pancakes at La Riposte in Agde - both worth a visit. The children would have enjoyed the pool until midnight if only we had allowed them. We are very sad to leave and would be happy to come back.
A gorgeous home, with so much to offer! 3 min walk into the beautiful bustling town of Pezenas and you have the tranquility of pool and garden! The pool was a welcome relief from the heat and very welcome after a day out exploring the area! We had some great fun playing table tennis and darts in the games room. We had a wonderful holiday, the lovely, very comfortable and well decorated home facilitated this!
Everything you would need is provided for a perfect stay in this part of southern France. A range of seating areas throughout the garden and the pool were delightful. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable The hosts were charming, friendly and helpful, but very discrete.
The family and I had a lovely stay at your house, Les Rocans. Your house, Les Rocans, has obviously been the subject of careful and loving restoration in many parts and it was lovely to stay there. The location is stunning, one could not tire of the views from the hillside. During our stay the weather was blistering hot sun and maximum temperatures around 36-38 degrees C. However, the breeze coming up the hill tempered the heat to make it quite tolerable. The trees you have carefully left near the swimming pool gave really good shade; it was my favourite lounging place. The swimming pool was so enjoyable, especially in the heat. Water temperature was the same as the heated pool in our local Virgin Active gym complex, occasionally higher, so our 4 year old grandson spent large amounts of time in the pool. Again, a lot of thought has clearly been given to the siting of the pool. There is a lot to do and see in the surrounding countryside. Our regret is we didn't get out as much as anticipated as the heat was a little too much away from Les Rocans. The few trips we did make showed how picturesque that part of France remains, especially around Sablet / Seguret / Vaison. Definitely we shall explore more next time, perhaps at a quieter time of year. Kevin, thank you for providing a place which gave us all much enjoyment for our weeks stay. The whole family wished they could have stayed longer. We did our best to cherish your house as you so obviously do.
We had a wonderful few days in this gorgeous house and it was everything we had hoped for-lovely French feel to the place, excellent location and a fantastic pool (particularly during the heatwave we had). The house was equipped with everything we needed and more-you really have thought of everything! Thanks again, we hope to be back next year. Merci!
We have just returned from the most wonderful holiday in an equally wonderful house La Barde. The owner greeted us warmly and had also baked us a cake which was unexpected but so appreciated. The house is absolutely beautiful and large, spacious, tastefully furnished rooms allowed everyone to gather or find a quiet area. The house is exceptionally well equipped and mirrors and sockets perfectly placed for hairdrying, a very important feature! Fabulous good sized pool with enough loungers for all. We were 8 strong, 2 sets of parents with our 4 grown up children (18-25). We all agreed that this was the best house that we have rented ( and we have been renting lovely houses for many years). The owner was simply delightful and we would see her from time to time cleaning the pool early morning. Ideally situated for nearby towns of Aubeterre and Bourdeilles and some lovely walks directly from the property too. We would not hesitate from returning to La Barde in the future and think it would be ideal for all age groups.
Our week at Maison des Communes has been the most perfect way to celebrate 3 very important birthdays. Two 60th and one 40th. We have enjoyed every moment and couldn't have wished for a better location, or host to make this stay as special as possible. As a group of six adults (three couples) it was great to each have our own space with the villa, but also lovely communal areas to have our meals and relax together. Everything about the villa has been ideal from the pool, bikes and comfortable bedroom to the spacious sprawling grounds. the icing on the cake has been Philippe. What a gracious host bringing fresh pastries, leaving welcome gifts and even arranging a beautiful meal at a local restaurant. Thanks so much. we will be back.
Fabulous house, beautifully decorated with everything we could possibly need for a lovely holiday. The pool and pool toys were a great hit with our 4 year old. We have holidayed numerous times in France and this was by far the best, from the welcoming email to the comfy beds and linen. Mark and Janet have made this a beautiful holiday home. We had a hot week and made the most of being at home! Thank you for a lovely stay! P.S. The Tuesday night market in Laparade was fun and definitely worth a visit! Our daughter loved her bedroom + the toys kept her occupied in the morning!
Our 4-day stay with family (8 adults and 5 children aged 11 to 1.5 years) went very well in this beautiful house. The spaces are well appointed and decorated with great taste. In addition, its location in the city center is very practical while having a very peaceful environment in the garden and around the swimming pool. To recommend.

Spent a lovely week here, Lived up to all our expectations. Wonderful setting with splendid views. Plenty of room to seat all of us for breakfast, lunch and dinner, in the sun or shade. The house wanted for nothing.
We enjoyed the house very much. We especially enjoyed the kitchen. The provision of cook books, an array of perfectly clean utensils. A stock of herbs and spices was a real bonus. We hope many more come and enjoy it as we did.

We have had a wonderful, relaxing and very enjoyable week at the farmhouse. It is a stunning place that we have enjoyed immensely. We have found it difficult to tear ourselves away from the glorious pool and tennis court and have had a fabulous rest! Many thanks for such an enjoyable stay, knowing that the team are on hand if needed... Bliss, an absolute gem.
A superb stay, we all had a wonderful time, super nice pool, significant air conditioning (at night) even if the electricity rate on arrival seemed exorbitant to us. Eva is very responsive and this is a plus for a peaceful arrival. We were 14 and the house is really adapted, the kitchen is very functional with everything you need to cook well! We will come back (we are already thinking about it).
Wonderful holidays in Nissan-Lez-Enserune. We had wonderful holidays there. Location was very convenient, inside the village where shops / market were at walking distance. Our car remained within the property, so no pb to park. We took it only to visit the nearby cities of Narbonne, Gruissan and Béziers (20/30 min ride). The house was clean, with recent works being done and well equiped (nice kitchen and bathrooms). Pool was large, clean and surrounded by beautiful oleanders. We'll consider coming again for sure. We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful home. The kitchen and living area was so spacious and comfortable and the outside space was equally ideal. The pool was delightful and spacious allowing the six of us to enjoy it at the same time. The kitchen had everything we could ask for - literally home from home. The only regret about this holiday was having only one week there as it wasn’t long enough! We most definitely would return.
My extended family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. The house itself is a magnificent old stone building, which has been decorated in a very elegant manner. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and we very much appreciated the coffee machine. Younger family members enjoyed the pool and ping pong table. Being an old house, it does have some quirks, but these are very much outweighed by the charm and grandeur of the rooms and outdoor areas. The location is scenic and peaceful - but within reasonable driving distance of area attractions such as Lascaux and villages along the Dordogne. The local village is lovely, with a handy small supermarket, great boulangerie and several restaurants. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Had a wonderful 2 weeks at the Maison Baleyssagues in Lot-et-Garonne. Great days out in Bordeaux and the countryside. Weather great for the most part. Really enjoyed the super pool - which has been the best so far. Thanks so much to Frederic for being such an entertaining host. See you gain soon.
