Lovely quiet house with pool in the heart of a pretty village - garden well maintained and flowered with magnificent views of the Dordogne - Interior decoration - friendly welcome - Geographical location (30 minutes from Sarlat and Domme) - The area is superb. There are numerous activities and visiting castles or cities, biking and canoeing... Well recommended!

A wonderful place for a family holiday. The house is perfectly stocked; really no want for anything. You have thought of it all, extra bits in the kitchen, games, great chairs by the pool. We loved every minute!
Absolutely fabulous week here. Wonderful facilities and the children have loved every minute. It's our 18 months’ old first villa holiday in France and certainly memorable for us all.
Thank you for making Domaine de Nérige such a beautiful place to stay in, it was a fabulous time had by all. Fantastic weather, food and fun. We never wanted to leave and didn't except to fill the fridge. I hope to return with more friends and family if I can and share the experience with them. Until the next time.
The house itself is old and gently restored, and extremely well equipped with every cooking utensil you could wish for and a very nice coffee machine. Special features are the large swimming pool close to the house, and the tennis court, which is a little higher up, with beautiful rural views. In summer there are night markets in surrounding villages where you can buy all kinds of foods, from omelettes to snails, and eat them outdoors on long trestle tables - a treat for locals and tourists alike. A wonderfully relaxing place to stay, highly recommended.

Sylish, well-equipped 'home from home' house in a great location. Narbonne is a delightful town with many good facilities. The pool and outside is a real bonus. We had a very good stay.

Pete was a great host and made us all feel really welcome from the start. We made full use of the wonderful pool. Ella (6) learnt to swim without armbands by the end of our week and Dhilan (4) spent more time in the water than anyone. We had a slow-paced week which suited us perfectly, but did enjoy Chateau Castelnaud with the kids and market day in Monflanquin, especially the Loubet seller.
We felt truly privileged to have the opportunity to share our special family reunion together at your stunning home. Straight out of an interior design magazine! The countryside, local villages, food and wine were amazing. Can't wait to come back. Merci.

I found peace in both the house and the surrounding area. The house itself felt like home. And the town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, just a short walk / bike ride away was charming and welcoming, to say the least. Located centrally, I found that the entire South of France was accessible, though I never wanted to leave lovely Mas de Pitou. I only wish I could have stayed longer.
Absolutely gorgeous house. Périgueux and Saint-Émilion were both charming - wonderful food, too. Weather has been idyllic and the swimming pool and loungers were a perfect way to relax. We will greatly miss this house and take with us very happy memories of our holiday here.
This is an ideal holiday home if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing time surrounded by beautiful countryside. There are no other houses nearby, yet you are only a 10 minute drive from the nearby Bastide of Monpazier and larger town of Villareal, where there are shops, restaurants, markets etc. The pool is a good size and well maintained and the house is very well equipped. We have been coming to France for over 10 years and this is the only property which has enticed us back for 2 years running.
Magnificent and original old castle. The pool is fantastic, the kids loved the inflatables. Nice area and lounge chairs around the pool. The kids also enjoyed having the upstairs as their own space.

This has been our first escape from London for three years and it certainly did not disappoint. The high temperatures slightly constrained our ambitions, but Camirout is a holiday in its own right! We were fortunate enough to stay at the property for a week. 5 star accommodation in a beautiful remote village of Montlaur, perfect for exploring the surrounding wine regions. It was truly an amazing holiday and would highly recommend it for a quiet romantic break or a relaxed family holiday. And oh that Romeo and Juliet Balcony! Highly recommended.
We had an amazing two weeks in the sun, we spent some days by the pool. You can swim and look at the stunning view of the hills in the distance. The apartment is spotless and has everything we needed at the start of our holiday. The owners can speak English which is helpful if you needed anything which we didn't. We would love to go back again.
We had the most wonderful week at Maison des Communes. Philippe was charming and very helpful and informative in his welcome and what a lovely surprise to see a beautiful array of cheeses and wines awaiting us! The villa is extremely well furnished and supplied, a delight to relax in and very well situated for exploring the region and nipping down to the many beautiful beaches along the coast. The three different accommodation areas were absolutely perfect for our party of eight, allowing privacy and relaxation for everyone, although most time was spent round and in the lovely pool and letting the nights darken as we sat sipping the local wines in the various outside areas. There is much to do and see in the area and the villa was a real haven to return to each day. What a great week: fabulous breakfast treats, elegant and artistic furnishings, glorious heat and sun in late August and the happiest of holidays. Merci beaucoup, Philippe!
What a dreamy escape ! We loved every moment - so much calm and too much fun was had. What an incredible place.
Wonderful home for a family vacation, amenities all on one level with nice pool with good alarm protection. Also a great place to live outside with pizza maker, BBQ and very easy to use functional kitchen. Lots of outside shaded seating areas. Air conditioning in bedrooms was a great benefit during hot weather. Lovely furnishings and felt like the home of a happy family. Easy access to boulangerie, supermarket and local restaurant - all less than 5 minutes walk. Thank you.
A wonderful fortnight of celebrations for friends and all our family (17!) for Mike’s 70th Birthday! The manor was the perfect place for us all — so big and comfortable and so much to do. What a gem it is! Thank you so much for allowing us to come again. We have made some amazing memories!
Fab house! What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a godsend as the weather was tres chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. What a wonderful holiday we have had! It was a pleasure to meet you and I can only stand back and admire your dedication, determination and fortitude in creating your dream property which came through so clearly in our conversation on the final morning before we left. It was a good holiday... enjoyed by all... but without doubt the venue and host were the stars of the show and we are so pleased to have had this opportunity to spend time with you and discover the area. We had a lovely time at the villa it’s beautiful and the pool and gardens are amazing. We have been coming to France for many years and always stay somewhere different and this is the first time we said that we would consider returning to a property. Everything seems to have been thought of. Inside the place is spacious as well, with separate quest rooms. The house is very suited for a large family and/or 3 couples due to the lay out. The master bedroom is huge and the separate bathroom is very luxurious and also spacious. The place is very suited for a nice formal dinner in the separate dinning room. We ate outdoor all the time but the inside is very nice too. My little one had to chose between the grand piano and the pool, a mayor dilemma. The pool is large enough to swim in it and not only to play around in it. It is surrounded by lavender bushes for a true French experience. Duras is in the neighborhood, there you can find a few shops, bars and restaurants such as bakers, a butcher, pizzeria and a supermarket. You should visit the Castle of Duras, it’s a recommendation definitely if you have kids. All and all, I should not recommend it too much…. so we can keep it to ourselves!
In the middle of the vineyards in the countryside is this wonderful house, with a heated pool and a whirlpool. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to indulge in culinary delights. Within a very short time (25 minutes) you can reach the beaches of Vias and Valras. Large cities such as Béziers can be reached in 15 minutes. The hosts were very friendly and we really appreciated the communication to learn a little more about the area and the people. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stop by again soon.
A great time was had by all. We loved this little piece of paradise in Provence! Magnifique! Hope we'll be back again sometime.
We have just returned from the most wonderful holiday in an equally wonderful house La Barde. The owner greeted us warmly and had also baked us a cake which was unexpected but so appreciated. The house is absolutely beautiful and large, spacious, tastefully furnished rooms allowed everyone to gather or find a quiet area. The house is exceptionally well equipped and mirrors and sockets perfectly placed for hairdrying, a very important feature! Fabulous good sized pool with enough loungers for all. We were 8 strong, 2 sets of parents with our 4 grown up children (18-25). We all agreed that this was the best house that we have rented ( and we have been renting lovely houses for many years). The owner was simply delightful and we would see her from time to time cleaning the pool early morning. Ideally situated for nearby towns of Aubeterre and Bourdeilles and some lovely walks directly from the property too. We would not hesitate from returning to La Barde in the future and think it would be ideal for all age groups.
