A beautiful house and garden which made for a very relaxing time in your beautiful surrounding. Thank you for the recommendations for lunch and dinner at various restaurants - very special. A very memorable stay here, one of our top destinations of the world in the Loire! Beautifully French - a wonderful experience!
Very beautiful villa with a spectacular view and a perfect swimming pool, water at 29/30 deg. Good balance in the volumes between the rooms. Complete kitchen equipment including BBQ.
Lovely house in nice authentic village. We really enjoyed staying in this house in Nissan. We especially loved the pool area and the terrace where we spent most of our time when we weren't out exploring the area. It's in a perfect location within a few minutes' walk from the town square with bars and a couple of pizza restaurants. There is a market 3 times a week, which we also really enjoyed. Paul who met us on arrival and was available throughout our stay for any questions is a really nice guy who speaks good English. It's within easy driving distance of Narbonne, Montpellier and Béziers and about 20 minutes from the beach. You can tell that this is a well-loved house by friendly owners Terry and Carol and we would recommend this house to anyone seeking an authentic French experience in comfortable surroundings.
It is the perfect vacation home and the family had a great week. The lovely, clean, well facilitated house, the private pool with the view, the beautiful village in walking distance - all the right ingredients for a great time in this area. Thank you.
Gorgeous villa with a breathtaking views! The villa was modern with quality features. The kitchen with an outsized breakfast bar opens up to a comfortable living room that overlooks a spectacular 180° view, which we enjoyed from sunrise to sunset. You can walk to town within 5 minutes, although there is a steep portion of the road, which has a large selection of gourmet restaurants and light shopping. We highly recommend this villa.
The holiday and house was fantastic and we really want to book for next year.
An absolute treasure of a place to stay with attentive hosts making sure our trip was comfortable and stress free. It's a home from home with the added delight of the sun, relaxing pool and sitting out of an evening with friends and wine. I can't wait to go back again and enjoy the nearby markets and small community which surrounds the château. Thank you Phil and Claire. Spacious rooms, historic building and thoughtful amenities.

A fantastic two week stay. The house is extremely homely and comfortable with more than enough room for four adults and threes kids. The pool is a great size for family fun - adults and kids alike made the most of it.

When can we go again!? Wonderful place and great for 3 couples to stay at and relax for a few nights. In the heart of the village which had enough to do if you just want some peace and quiet.
I would like to thank you for the lovely week we spent at Château du Pic de Rigaud. Henrietta was charming and extremely helpful. The house was beautiful and not too formal. The views were amazing both from the house and the pool. We left feeling uplifted.
Wonderful week! Maison Estephe was absolutely outstanding everything we could have wished for. Lovely little village, fresh bread and croissants from the little baker shop every morning, weather was great, lots of exploring, sampled some wine and discovered the wonderful port of Meze. Outstanding week will need to look at available dates for next year when I know my time off.
We are truly sad to be leaving this incredible house, beautiful landscape and extraordinary people. We have felt truly ‘at home’ here and have so enjoyed being ‘en famille’ in such a wonderful house. You have both been so welcoming and we go home feeling we have made good friends. We’re now even more determined to find our own ‘patch’ of this wonderful region to call home. A Bientot’. Plenty of bike riding, good wine, shining sun, spectacular sunsets and pool. Thank you to Kim for providing a venue for the family holiday to remember.
Magnificent and original old castle. The pool is fantastic, the kids loved the inflatables. Nice area and lounge chairs around the pool. The kids also enjoyed having the upstairs as their own space.
Five star accommodation Five star hosts Two weeks of mixed weather, but we read, swam, ate, drank and walked - into the village for some lovely lunches Courtesy of Reme and co. We were made to feel like part of the community. The local Butcher (Thierry - Sunday and Thursday am), a must, in fact we were his first customers on one Thursday (pate Basque very good) Only ventured out once, except for hyper market shopping for a bit of Cahors tasting at Domaine du Garinet. Will be back as fast as possible.
What a beautiful 'home away from home' you have created here. This first holiday has been everything we could have wished for and more. Your hospitality and company have been wonderful and matched only by the breathtaking accommodation and gardens. You have thought of everything and we have wanted for nothing and the delicious birthday cake was a particular highlight! We can't wait to see what the future holds for the main house.
We spent a fabulous week with family and friends - all of us staying under one roof in the large, comfortable and traditional French country home, set amidst acres of sunflowers! What a week - one of relaxation in the home and of many adventures in the surrounding environs - from local markets and festivals, to cognac tasting, long runs and drives along beautiful country lanes. Just 45 minutes from Toulouse, but a world away, this is a vacation we hope to repeat in coming years!
We had a really fabulous time at The Garden Cottage. The cottage suited us very well. It had everything we needed. Beautifully styled, appointed and decorated. And the pool was to die for (I was hardly out of it) thank you Stephen for looking after it and the garden so meticulously. The cottage is perfectly situated being off the beaten track and so very peaceful but yet near enough to Thonac to walk down to the village for a drink or a meal. Montignac is only ten minutes drive away - a lively town full of cafés bars and shops. Lovely trips out to visit neighbouring villages all of which claim to be one of most beautiful villages in France. And they all are! Added bonus was being in Thonac for the final of the World Cup. Rob went down to the village and joined the locals watching on the big screen.
We have had the most wonderful time in your lovely house, it feels incredibly homely and I can see why it is your pride and joy.
The house is pleasant and the host is welcoming. There is space for a large group. It is easy to park in front of the house and there is also an option to park in the garden. Well located, you can buy bread on the houseboat across the bridge and the bookstore is a must!
Beautiful and secluded. Beautiful, modern, spacious house with massive terrace/patio and nice pool. Perfect to chill out or use as a base to explore the Côte d'Azur!
Beautiful Home with Large Gardens and Heated Pool. A very special place. The house is spacious and the layout gives plenty of areas to relax. The garden and pool is beautiful. With woodland views, there are lots of seating areas and loungers, a hammock and games to play in the huge grassy area. And the pool is perfect. Sam is a super host, happy to help and is kind and fun. If you love yoga, then there is the chance to have a session with Sam in her beautiful yoga studio. We had the best time. Thank you!
We have spend a wonderful holiday at the villa. The villa is ideal, spacious and nicely decorated. The children loved the pool and the table tennis table! It is an ideal base to visit the region. The market in Pézenas should not be missed. We have driven a boat, ridden horses and hired bikes in Marseillan and seen flamingoes! Dream holiday. Thank you again for your kindness and hospitality.
