We loved our stay! The cottage was beautiful, had everything we needed, and was lovely and quiet. The pool was fabulous. The owners are very kind and helpful, and the nearby villages and châteaux are beautiful and fun to explore.

We had a wonderful week at Manoir Coutenson. The spacious house is very well equipped. The swimming pool is incredibly warm and the children (even the baby) spent hours in it. The shaded area by the pool was essential as the weather was really hot. We loved the area. It is fairly rural but with easy access to the town. The house is very child friendly with toys, high chairs and plastic bowls and plates and lots of pool accessories. All of which were appreciated by our 5 grandchildren. A fabulous, relaxing holiday. Thank you so much.
What a week at Château Richelieu, where we were fortunate enough to get married in front of 90 of our closest friends and family! To say it was an amazing experience and venue would almost be doing it a dis-service! It's hard to put down in words just how perfect our big day was at Château Richelieu. It would be very difficult to beat as a venue for a wedding and we would not have had our day anywhere else in the world. Our hosts could not have done any more for us. The support before, during and after the wedding has been above and beyond. Honestly, cannot recommend Château Richelieu highly enough and we will definitely be returning with friends / family for another visit.

We have had the most wonderful few days at this most beautiful house. I couldn’t believe how heavenly it all looked as we drove into the gates. We loved being here with good friends and had the best time. Many thanks for a perfect place to be.

We’ve had the most special stay and made so many happy memories. The house is such fun with a young family and the children have been on many wildlife explorations around the grounds and we gave all spent hours in the pool. Thank you for your hospitality.

Wonderful stay, 5 children and 8 adults all found happiness. Bedroom, bathroom, very spacious living room as well as a pool terrace perfectly arranged for everyone and the little extra of an outdoor kitchen with barbeque. The proximity is very quiet, in the countryside but at a very correct distance to do activities. We thank the host for making this villa available for our holidays. We recommend without hesitation. Wow what a villa! Absolutely fabulous week's holiday. 4 adults and 2 young children. The pool was a great thing to have with the grandchildren loving every moment in it. Weather has been very hot so very much appreciated the a/c in the bedrooms! Thank you Pascal for being there when needed. We cannot recommend this villa and its location highly enough. Like others before us, we would love to think we may return one day. Just to say, 1 of us drove over 1,000 miles to be here and it was worth every long one of them.
My family had a fantastic 3-week holiday in La Barde, a beautifully renovated farmhouse. So fantastic, in fact, that we secured a repeat booking for the following year prior to departing. We found the property extremely spacious, sympathetically renovated, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for family day-to-day living. The securely gated pool is perfect for children and we all looked forward to cooling off there each afternoon after exploring the various local food markets and other wonderful excursions. The pool is actually quite large, which meant that the keener members of our party could exercise properly and swim lengths whilst the rest of us happily relaxed and drank local wines. The shallow end is ideal for young children to play or practice their swimming and there is a slightly separate paddling pool which is perfect for babies and toddlers. There is a barn area with a large BBQ, which we used most evenings, a ping pong table and lots of lawn games. The courtyard, lawn and gardens are obviously lovingly cared for and just beautiful. La Barde is the perfect setting for children to play and for family and friends to relax, talk, eat and drink. Helen and John gave us a warm welcome and were happy to help with any information we needed. They kindly shared some delicious fruit from their garden with us, which we very much enjoyed cooking and eating. We think this is the perfect place for groups of friends or families to holiday together and celebrate special occasions (it would be an amazing place to host a wedding or spend Christmas) because the size and the layout of the house and grounds mean there is plenty of space for more than one family to be together as well as enough space to have privacy. The location is ideal in terms of exploring the Dordogne. We would highly recommend booking this property any time of the year. We couldn’t believe our luck and can’t wait to return again this summer!

Spending time in this lovely serene hamlet is heaven, overlooking the most calming landscaped from the house and terraces. The fully equipped kitchen is outfitted for foodies and in a setting with fantastic food markets just 15 minutes in proximity. The gardens surrounding the house are beautiful and have a fabulous pool. The is French countryside brilliance at its best.
Quick note to express our gratitude for the hire of your property. What a wonderful time somebody had restoring this place to what it is today. We had a superb family celebration for our ruby wedding and explored the Drome and Ardeche localities. Many thanks.
We echo the comments of your previous guests in your beautiful home and garden. It was a long wait before we finally got here but so worth it. So many vinyards, so many châteaux, so little time. One of our lasting memories is standing in the middle of the Loire river on the riverbed. We hope the river returns soon.

Our second time at this beautiful house. From the moment of arrived we were relaxed. The place is so tastefully furnished, the pool so welcoming. But most of all the hosts themselves make you feel very incredibly welcome and couldn't be more helpful. We had amazing weather for the week so we didn't venture far from the pool at all. Another lovely holiday at the Loft du Vigneron, this time for 2 weeks. It was lovely to see Karen and Russell again. They were charming and hospitable just like before Everything was perfect for us and the weather was amazing, swam every day in the beautiful pool. Karen booked some restaurants for us, recommended by her, and they were excellent. Highly recommend this property, the best ever.
