We had a very good holiday in Eva's cottage. Everything was in order It is a very spacious house, with large (bathroom), with a soothing terrace with a large swimming pool. Perfect for a group trip. Communication with Eva went very well.
A really fabulous time had by all 9 in our 'gang', you have left no stone unturned here in this great house. Location is perfect, Revel is a smashing town with everything you need whilst still retaining the feel of a rural French setting. A holiday none of us will forget. This holiday has been great! I have really enjoyed playing in the pool and running round the huge garden for exercise. Written by a teenager pretending they are 48!
Thank you for the warm welcome - Rêve de Pêcheur is very charming. We enjoyed village life and visits to Château de Villandry, the Cadre Noir, Château de Langeais and Fontevraud Abbey.

The acccommodation is beautifully presented with lots of lovely little touches. There's everything you need but if not the hosts are just next door and couldn't be more helpful. Vouvant is a very short walk away and has a handful of bars, restaurants and shops so you can just leave the car and relax if you really need to with off. We'd highly recommend a stay a The Piglet Barn and will most certainly be back.
Excellent stay! Our host Nathalie was very responsive by message and accommodating. The house was clean and perfectly matched the description. We would have stayed there longer!

Villa everything and more! fantastic villa, pool and table tennis great fun! Pézenas lovely 15 - 20 minutes easy walk! Lots of great restaurants. Beach between Sète and Agde very good and not too many people.
We have spend a wonderful holiday at the villa. The villa is ideal, spacious and nicely decorated. The children loved the pool and the table tennis table! It is an ideal base to visit the region. The market in Pézenas should not be missed. We have driven a boat, ridden horses and hired bikes in Marseillan and seen flamingoes! Dream holiday. Thank you again for your kindness and hospitality. What a memorable time we had with friends along with my 5 years old daughter at the château. The owners are friendly and extremely generous, beautiful adorable dogs, my daughter is fond of them. The castle is rustic French style property with large windows directly opens to garden space and pool, the property is huge enough for every day walk, lush greens, canals, peaceful at the same time. The furniture and tapestry are well selected and stored beautifully. It’s a combination of modern comfort meets rustic luxury one could dream of. 5 - 10 minutes drive to local markets, boulangerie for delicious French breads. Amazing Safari zoo, my daughter and we had a great time. Great seas face restaurants are close by and a must visit. A perfect gateway to celebrate with your family, friends and loved ones.
Lovely old place restored by Frederic. We were lucky enough to be there for the festival in Sauve which was great! Far too hot to go hiking in the hills but managed trips to Uzes ( beautiful) and of course the Haribo museum for the kids. Pool cover needs 2 people and doesn’t come all the way back but it’s for safety. Kitchen well equipped for a large group. Really enjoyed our stay!
We had an excellent stay in this historic residence, the former orangery of the castle built on the 14th century ramparts. In addition to the charm of the house, it is very well organized around different spaces which increase the diversity of experiences. Whether with family or friends, everyone has their own space while offering lots of conviviality. The house is very well equipped, from ping pong to raclette, including a kitchen with lots of appliances. The bedding is comfortable.. Finally, the place is both a haven of peace and its direct proximity to the village and its many summer activities make it a unique place.
We would recommend eating at L'Ambrosia in Pezens, La Bergerie at Aragon and the restaurant at Le Château de Pennautier (quite local). Narbonne was a pleasant surprise (including its plage) for a day trip.
The hosts have thought of every comfort. A fantastic base from which to explore this part of France. It was difficult to draw yourself away from the beautiful garden and pool. We stayed with them many times when they managed to create yet another little haven at their new base in France!
A wonderful week spent at this wonderful villa. Had a lovely time visiting Château de Monbazillac, Montcaret and Bordeaux. We all have had a fantastic time in the swimming pool. The children didn't want to get out! Thank you to Frédéric for a warm welcome on our arrival. We would love to stay again.
A Perfect Family Retreat – Exceeded Our Expectations! We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful villa and it truly exceeded our expectations. The photos on the website don’t fully capture the charm and spaciousness of this property. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. La Ferme Éclaircie is brilliantly laid out, offering plenty of open space, which was perfect for our family of five. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped, making meal preparation a breeze. Each room was spotless, tidy and provided ample storage space for all our holiday belongings. The games room was a fantastic bonus, keeping our children entertained during the occasional rainy day. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible pool. Our three boys absolutely loved it and spent hours splashing around. The gentle slope of the pool was especially helpful for our youngest, who learned to swim during this holiday - an unforgettable milestone for our family. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area, which was ideal for both daytime relaxation and evening games as we watched the sun set. The peaceful surroundings and stunning views added to the tranquility of our stay. La Ferme Éclaircie location is perfect for exploring the local area, which offers plenty of activities to keep a family like ours busy. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, this villa is a perfect choice. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended!
We have stayed now on five occasions and will return again. Accommodation has everything you could wish for in self-catering accommodation and the pool is superb. Lovely little villages to visit nearby as well as Nice, Cannes, Saint-Tropez and Monaco all within easy reach. Easy drive from Nice Airport to a very peaceful location.
Gorgeous. Very well maintained, yet still updated with modern amenities. All in all, an amazing stay and trip and we'd recommend Château Charente to anyone touring the area.
Eva was extremely helpful and gave us great dinner recommendations. The house is perfect for a relaxing vacation, a beautiful swimming pool and an incredible interior. Ideal place to reside, we highly recommend it.
A very nice holiday in this house and this Var region. Very good communication with the owner and personalised welcome to find the house. Easy parking for 2 cars. Wonderful stay in a beautiful home. The house was very comfortable and the swimming pool was great. We spent some time in the nearby towns / villages. Pézenas, Vias, Béziers and Cap d'Agde. The Sunday morning market in Besson is a must. The area is great for cycling with all of the nearby villages easily accessible. Very sad to be leaving. Thank you very much.
Kids really enjoyed the grounds and plenty to keep them entertained even when the weather was not as nice. So much space to run around and explore. Great pool, very clean. Owners went above and beyond to help us, even offering to give us a lift when needed. Welcoming and friendly reception from Nick and Takayla - really helpful and on hand when needed.

Magnificent decor, quiet without being far from the center of Meursault on the doorstep. Penelope and John do their best to make everything perfect and are very nice. Definitely to be done again.
This is a lovely villa. Probably one of the best appointed in which we have ever stayed. The pool and outdoor areas are just delightful. Our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter enjoyed picking up wonderful plums and playing with the games and toys in the little library. Adults enjoyed the beautiful view end is sunsets. How peaceful our surroundings where especially when we are used to the traffic noise of city! Special thanks to Frederick who helped us where we had a little medical emergency.

You have transformed this building into the most wonderful house and more than that, into a welcoming and comfortable home, in which we feel privileged to have been guests. We lacked for nothing (except maybe a little more soleil and a little less vent). Everyone who came to stay with us expressed their appreciation in a similar vein. Thank you so much.
