Thank you for an unforgettable week! The house and gardens have been a dream. We have been blessed with amazing weather and the pool has made the holiday for the children. What a fantastic area and what a gorgeous house - and the view! Can we come again? Love the local wines.
First of all, the house was everything we hoped it would be. The facilities inside were excellent and the air conditioning a huge plus especially at night time. The back garden area is superb and met all needs whether you wanted sun, shade, pool, cooking, dining. The area itself has so many varying attractions to meet all needs and ages. Some highlights for us were kayaking in Saint Guilhem de Desert, canyoning in the Gorges d'Heric and this was brilliant. Lazy beach days in Sète and Marseillan, visiting the vineyards at Seignourie de Peyrat (just out the Roujan road) and chill out days by the pool. Pèzenas is a wonderful town and the market on Saturday is a must and favourite restaurants were La Ripalle and Chez Paul. Excellent holiday and the house and its location facilitated this. Thanks.
Beautiful and secluded. Beautiful, modern, spacious house with massive terrace/patio and nice pool. Perfect to chill out or use as a base to explore the Côte d'Azur!

The Garden Cottage is exactly as described. It oozes charm, character and good taste. It was spotlessly clean. The large swimming pool and patio area is beautiful, private and well maintained. The cottage is very conveniently located, being a pleasant walk or a very short drive to Thonac village. There one will find a good pizza restaurant / bar, a hotel with both a garden and indoor restaurant and a small supermarket. Two large supermarkets, pharmacy and petrol station are just five minutes drive away at Montignac. This is a very nice small town to visit and where one buys tickets for Lascaux. The cottage is perfectly situated to visit the numerous places of interest in the area and the owners have provided an information brochure of local markets, events and places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 week stay and found the owners discreet, charming and helpful. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending the property to couples who want a completely relaxing and comfortable holiday.
Château Chante L'Oiseau is the epitome of rustic French countryside living. It is an absolutely charming property with well appointed and comfortable rooms for restful sleep and mutiple reception rooms for relaxing and entertaining in. Its extensive grounds offer a plethora of activities to enterain both young and old. This is our favourite spot for a sojourn with friends and family.
A wonderful first week to our holidays. The house is wonderfully renovated and has everything a family can wish! We also had the chance of a very warm weather which gave us plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great terrace and had al fresco dining every day. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful property. PS: The Auberge St Jean is a must eat in the area!

We had a very good dinner at La Licorne, and joyous visits to Azay le Rideau, Villandry and Chenonceaux - all so much better restored, managed and presented than 20 years ago. We have just spent an amazing fortnight at Maison Labarde in Lauzun hosted by Jean and Martyn. The gite is really well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay and is cool inside, even in hot weather. Jean kindly provided many complementary extras for our arrival which was very much appreciated. A great outside kitchen with gas BBQ and additional fridge was perfect for outdoor dining and drinking! The pool was immaculate and cleaned daily by Martyn and there were various floats, water toys and inflatables available; the water temperature was just right- in fact it didn’t drop below 28 degrees for the whole fortnight. We enjoyed the extensive garden using the various seating areas available, all with parasols/ gazebo for shade if needed. It’s a lovely part of France with lots of Bastide towns to visit with markets, fetes and musical events in the summer months, as well as vineyards and châteaux for wine tastings at every turn!! Jean and Martyn were excellent hosts, friendly and informative about local events and places to visit. We have no hesitation in recommending this holiday gite and hope that we can return at some point in the future! Merci beaucoup!!
Our Stay at Château Bellevue couldn’t have been more delightful and could not have been better appointed, the furnishings were gorgeous, the room proportions, very good, the views onto the grounds very relaxing and peaceful. Close by is the glamour and razzmatazz of Biarritz whilst the beautiful city of Bayonne is so handy for wonderful shopping and fabulous restaurants. The log fire was a great treat for cosy evenings. The tennis court and swimming pool makes the château a holiday centre in itself where you can while away days before realising that maybe you should explore a little further into the surrounding countryside, cities and world famous beaches.
We have had an unforgettable stay in this lovely house and wonderful area. Thank you for all your generosity.

An ideal place to spend a vacation with family or friends. The house is exposed in such a way that we have the sun all day with a view of the castle on one side and the valley on the other. The summer kitchen near the swimming pool allowed us to eat from morning to evening but we were also able to have breakfast in the courtyard with the rising sun and dinner on the terrace in the light of the setting sun. The house is very large and well equipped, the rooms are spacious and everything is tastefully decorated. We appreciated the proximity of the village, accessible on foot very quickly, but also discovering the region by car. A royal stay in a majestic place where we played the game of having an evening on the theme of “castle life”. It's your turn to play the squire.
Beautifully converted and furnished house with two lovely gîtes, a swimming pool and terraces. The wide views over the vineyards are unprecedented. The owners again make something very beautiful !!!

Heaven on Earth. Our two week stay at Villa Chiavari was an absolute dream; I could not be more enthusiastic in recommending this home to anyone looking to spend their vacation in a veritable paradise. We were 2 couples, 3 children and 1 grandparent and booked an 'off-season' holiday at the end of September. Not long after our arrival we realised a major perk of booking 'off season': uncrowded beaches with absolutely perfect summer weather! Villa Chiavari's spectacular ocean-view infinity pool is surrounded by lounge-chairs and palm trees and bordered by a lush garden... good luck ever tearing yourself away. I should also mention that this lavish pool area is accessible by both the main living quarters of the house and by the bedrooms, which we found extremely convenient for our kids and elderly grandparent. Pool amenities also include a shaded lounge and dining area (also with an ocean view), a barbecue, outdoor refrigerator, pool toys and floats and easy access to a downstairs kitchenette. The grounds at the front of the house include a lush garden, an elevated hammock-hideaway in a quiet shady corner and an outdoor eating area punctuated by a lovely little fountain. The bedrooms are attractively furnished, comfortable and very clean. Five out of six have full attached bathrooms. All bedrooms are equipped with Wi-Fi and air conditioning, as is the main area of the house. The upstairs living/dining/den areas are elegant yet cozy at the same time and the entire back 'wall' of this floor is composed of large sliding glass doors that open onto a beautiful terrace running the length of the entire villa. There is a dining area and lounge on this upper terrace as well! The kitchen has every piece of equipment you can think of and if you're looking for the ultimate in extravagance, the owners will set you up with your own chef. They arranged for us a very personable French cook who prepared truly delicious, fresh meals that even our children were not afraid to eat. Sublime. Speaking of kids, families will find this home very child-safe. There are gates on stairways, the entire property is fenced-in (artfully disguised by beautiful flowers and foliage) and there is a smattering of children's furniture (highchair etc) available for use. We were also really comforted by the fact that the owners of this home are easily reached and are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be booking again and I encourage anyone interested in perfection to do the same!

We all enjoyed the stay at the villa. We liked the location - both in Lezignan and the fact that it is close to Pézenas and easy to get to other locations (we went to Carcassonne; Montpellier, Millau etc) Thanks you for making the bicycle available and the table football! It was also nice to have a pool - although we only used that once. A lot of useful information was also provided in the villa. We liked the fact that you contacted us personally - it offered us reassurance prior to our trip - thanks for your help. All in all we enjoyed our stay and if in the area would visit the villa again. We have enjoyed several wonderful visits to this most delightful property set in bucolic rolling countryside. The house is elegant and extremely comfortable, giving maximal privacy inside and out so that guests can enjoy the peace, whether swimming in the lovely pool, or just relaxing in shade or sun. There is also a lovely terrace for al fresco dining and a fabulous collection of books. The creation of the gardens is masterful . We loved the nearby market in Condom and the creamy stone architecture of the area.
We have had a wonderful week in this beautiful house in this stunning location. The sunflowers fields are just gorgeous and we will forever have fond memories of Gascony and the sunflowers. You could not wish for more in a holiday accommodation. Everything about this place is perfect – the warm welcome by the hosts, the beautifully designed and furnished gite, the very special location and brilliant views over vineyards, forest and softly rolling hills, the helpful recommendations from Esther and Leonard. We only have one regret – and that is that we didn’t stay long enough.
An idyllic haven in the Gers countryside. The room was beautifully comfortable and had far- reaching views over the vines. Host, David, cooked us a sensational meal on the evening of our arrival as well as French breakfast of fruit, yogurts, bread and croissants, cheese, delicious preserves each morning. He was also a source of invaluable advice about the area - things to see and places to eat. A warm, welcoming chambre d’hote. Unhesitatingly recommended.
Excellent stay in an idyllic setting! We had a wonderful week long stay with the family. The hosts are charming and very helpful. The house is very pleasant to live in and the bedding is excellent! The swimming pool is superb, the pool house also ... in short, a perfect week!
