Our stay was perfect, the house was spotless, all the comforts we needed and everything was new. Eva advised us on lots of things, the contact was perfect, always attentive and caring. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.
The daily stroll through le Grand Verger to the ice cream shop within Larressingle was a delight.
It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. The house is very well equipped and we found some great restaurants and good supermarket shopping in Fleurance, Lectoure and slightly further afield. A great week!
Our family of 10 stayed here for a week and we loved every minute. The attention to detail in the chateau was wonderful. Everything we could have needed was provided. Philippe and Frederique were the most wonderful hosts. We highly recommend Chateau de Marquisat!
We were a group of 20 (5 families) and had a wonderful week! The rooms are very comfortable (aircon, great beds), the kitchen was perfect for a large group, the pool was large and clean (not even a bug in the water, thanks to the overflow system). Everything is nicely decorated and brand new. The location is just beautiful with wonderful sunsets. We had a lovely visit at the wine cellar of the domaine and did a wine tasting. We visited Saint-Tropez and the Pampelonne plage (1 hour drive), Cotignac (40 min), Île de Porquerolles by catamaran from Hyères (1h) and did canyoning in the Gorges du Verdon (2h drive). So plenty to do but you'll need to spend some time in the car. And last but not least : Thomas is a great host. He is always available and willing to help in every possible way.
We spent 2 weeks at Mas Saint-Cernin. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. John and Lesley provided excellent information before our arrival about the property, the local area and very clear travel directions. There was even a welcome basket of essentials for our breakfast on arrival. We had a fabulous time and hope to visit again.
Kids really enjoyed the grounds and plenty to keep them entertained even when the weather was not as nice. So much space to run around and explore. Great pool, very clean. Owners went above and beyond to help us, even offering to give us a lift when needed. Welcoming and friendly reception from Nick and Takayla - really helpful and on hand when needed.
Paradise We so enjoyed your beautiful slice of paradise in France. What an amazing 'estate' that truly defines old French country. So gorgeous and we so appreciate being able to use it. Everyone had a wonderful time.
We had a wonderful trip! The pictures cannot fully represent the beauty of the house, the pool and the hilltop setting with views over the river and the whole valley. The layout of the house worked very well for us, as each of our families had their own wing with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. We were grateful for the help with arranging chefs and babysitters (who were fantastic) and the hosts were proactive in making sure we had a great stay. The location is great too, as you are near a couple of cute towns with good bakeries and restaurants, close to Sarlat, Domme and La Roque-Gageac and centrally located for prehistoric caves, river trips, wineries, etc. We can't recommend this house enough!
This is our 3rd visit and yet again we have had a lovely time. Weather a little more energetic than previously but still lovely and warm. So relaxing, peaceful and calm, with the advantage of Poitiers to explore and the fantastic bakeries nearby. Thank you so much again.
Fab house! What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a godsend as the weather was tres chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. What a wonderful holiday we have had! Another restful holiday in this little haven. Visited some lovely villages and ate wonderful food. The weather was kind - most days over 28° (and England had rain!) Warm memories to survive the British winter! Thank you again.

Glorious sunshine for us all week. We've had a lovely time exploring. The children pretended to be Rapunzel at Maison Baleyssagues and had a wonderful day the Lac de Lougratte. I jogged in and out of the grape wines, which was surprisingly exhausting. We all had too many croissants? Thank you for a terrific week in gorgeous setting.
Rachel and Anthony made us feel welcome and were on hand, if needed, for any information. It was the best gite we have stayed at in twenty years of holidaying in France. Recommend taking train into Carcassonne from Bram. It is so easy and only 15 minutes or so.
Sadly leaving. What a truly delightful house this is and how warm and welcoming it has been for our family of 9 travelling from Australia to celebrate two 50th birthdays. Despite the heat we have been comfortable and happy, exploring many towns and locations and enjoying the pool and the house. The kitchen was perfect, all the little extra's very much appriciated and the beds so comfortable. We played football, rode the bikes and went for local walks. Simply one of the best houses we've ever stayed in and one of the best holidays we've ever enjoyed.

A house where you feel absolutely at home! Fully and tastefully furnished in a beautiful environment. Visited many places, recommendations are: the caves of Limousis , city of Carcassonne and the suspension bridge in Mazamet . The weekly market in Olonzac , wonderful! Then in the evening on the beautiful terrace enjoying the view of the Pyrenees with snow on the peaks and the children in the pool. Highly recommended, we will definitely go back ! We are jealous of your house!
We had an amazing stay in your beautiful home. It has been a lovely relaxing holiday in this little oasis in the French countryside. Everything is perfect...
We were with the family, the house is perfect for that. The bedding of the beds are recent and comfortable. Nothing was missing for our comfort. Fans in every room. Everything was very clean. The house is gigantic but the real plus is the garden and the pool! Large grassy area to play ball, petanque, ping-pong table, vegetable garden... and the huge swimming pool. Many deckchairs and garden armchairs, barbeque, plancha, shade in short all is perfect! Eva and her adorable friend, do not hesitate to ask her for a good address for a restaurant! I recommend.
We enjoyed the house, pool and garden. We took a private boar charter on the canal. We visited restaurants and enjoyed using the 'running track' around the garden.
