A huge thank you for making us feel so welcome, we've had a wonderful week in your beautiful property. This has been by far the best house we have stayed in, full of history, character and the personal touch. The pool has been amazing. Evening barbecues have been the highlight. Your kind gift of wine, beers and charcuterie set us up well for the week.
As I suspected when first shown around the Loft du Vigneron, we are going to find it hard to leave. The accommodation is truly first class, and you have been wonderful hosts. Thank you for all your suggestions of places to visit - we all have different highlights, but for Franklin it was the food market in Narbonne. All in all, a perfect holiday! We very much hope to see you (and Mack and Mabel) again.
Special features are the large swimming pool close to the house. Beautiful rural views. In summer there are night markets in surrounding villages where you can buy all kinds of foods, from omelettes to snails, and eat them outdoors on long trestle tables - a treat for locals and tourists alike. A wonderfully relaxing place to stay, highly recommended.
We have spent an enjoyable fortnight here in Bessan. The house was comfortable and peaceful. The weather has been beautiful during our whole stay, unlike it is in the UK! We enjoyed the neighbouring towns, especially Agde. We will remember this holiday and do not want to come back home this afternoon. Many thanks.

Many thanks for a wonderful stay at Malardier and thank you also for your kind hospitality on Wednesday evening. We loved visiting the château at Bourdeilles and also spent a very pleasant morning at Aubeterre sur Dronne so would thoroughly recommend both. We loved the peace and tranquillity of Le Malardier, the sense of history and wonderful views and truly hope we will have the opportunity to return in the future.
Beautiful and large residence decorated with care composed of a house equipped with 2 living rooms, a large fully equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms and as many bathrooms upstairs. A gîte outside with 3 bedrooms and living room, a magnificent convivial room with table tennis, billiards, fully equipped bar and home cinema. Mark, despite the distance, is very responsive and sympathetic. One of his friends came to make sure, the day after our arrival, that we were properly installed. The house is well placed to visit the surrounding villages: Bergerac, Issigeac, Boucle de la Nette, Château de Biron, Villareal ... To be redone in the summer to take advantage of the majestic swimming pool! We STRONGLY recommend!
The house and the grounds were fantastic. The rooms were all spacious and we particularly appreciated the bedroom set up with interlinking rooms from the nursery. We really enjoyed exploring the grounds and went for walks/runs. The children loved exploring the forest area The swimming pool was fantastic. Loungers etc. comfortable. The kids loved the swings, etc + the playroom was well stocked. Everything we needed was here. Catering service was delicious and we really appreciate you taking into account the intolerances. Very friendly service, nothing was too much to ask. The owners are never on top of us but there if needed. Much appreciated. Fantastic holiday, thank you.

You have been incredible hosts, communication and recommendations were excellent. The house exceeded all of our expectations and we all had an incredible time making good use of all that was on offer! Stuart and I particularly enjoyed the table tennis which got quite competitive! We are a family of 4 who decided to discover the Périgord region. We looked at this property and fell in love with the outside: the château itself and the beautiful garden with a pool. The interior decoration was unique as there was a very pretty sitting room with a piano which reminded me of 18th century style while the dining room had more medieval features. The second floor had many bedrooms which was very good for the rest of our family who joined us later. On that floor, there is also a second TV room where all the teenagers hung out . We dined inside in the morning and outside in the evening. We enjoyed barbecues and (a lot of) good wine. The neighbors, who are also friends of the owner , were very helpful and nice. We discovered all kinds of attractions like visiting castles, tasting wine, kayaking on the Dordogne and going to huge parties organized by different villages through the summer. In short , we enjoyed our vacation in this beautiful château very much! We’ll definitely come back for another vacation.
We had an amazing stay at your wonderful house. The setting was wonderful and we had a truly relaxing time. The scenery was a joy. We also liked the beautiful village / hamlet with such a wonderful church. We met many French people who were exceptionally friendly. We cooked with all the fresh produce from the markets and ate outside surrounded by hay bales! Thank you for such an amazing week.

We had had this property booked since 2020 to celebrate my 70th birthday together with my son and his family. This was part of a four week French vacation. The property was just as we had hoped. A typical French Château, very roomy filled with antiques. The owners were very helpful and accommodating to our every need. It was well equipped and the grounds were delightful. The pool was very much appreciated as the weather was unseasonably hot. We all enjoyed our holiday and would love to return again. Thank you.
We stayed in the beautiful Maison des Cordeliers in Sarlat in July 2024. What can we say - perfect property in the perfect location within a stunning town. The pool and outside area is just lovely, amazingly private yet only a five minute walk to the heart of the action. Very peaceful and well equipped. The owner Jackie is super helpful with quick replies to any queries and offering any additional assistance needed with regard to the area and recommendations. The villa itself is very thoughtfully equipped while maintaining an authentic French feeling. All in all we would definitely 100% recommend this villa if you were lucky enough to be visiting the beautiful town of Sarlat.
Excellent. Very nice amenities for this quiet house for getting together with family. The swimming pool is very large and with a breathtaking view of nature and the vineyards. The region is very beautiful and the surroundings are worth it. We had a very good holiday and Marie who welcomes you is very pleasant. Christiane, the owner, takes great care to ensure that your stay goes as smoothly as possible. The equipment in the house, whether furniture or kitchen area, is top notch.
We spent an excellent weekend in a house that corresponds in every way to the description: comfortable, spacious, magnificent view. The weather was unfortunately not favourable for a dip in the pool in February, but we imagine how pleasant it can be. Ideal house for a family reunion
The house was very peaceful, well equipped and clean. Within easy reach of the main sights and attractions. We enjoyed mornings spent touring the local area and spent afternoons relaxing by the pool - de très bonnes vacances! An excellent holiday, beautiful house and surroundings - We will hopefully return.
The place is absolutely beautiful, the pictures don’t do it enough justice. The grounds are spacious, there’s a huge garden with everything you need in terms of a pool, BBQ, play area, etc. You have your own driveway and a covered car park.
We are all having the most idyllic time here in your beautiful home - it is just perfect and so beautifully and tastefully presented - the weather is incredible and the pool in full use - we have visited Ilsle sur la Sourgue, Châteauneuf du Pap and the surrounding villages which are all charming - so all very well!
We have had a wonderful week in your fantastic home. It has been so peaceful and tranquil here by the pool. Seeing the amphitheatre at Nîmes and canoeing under the Pont Du Gard were the highlights.

Wow this house is absolutely amazing. It looks good and it is! Its even better than the pictures show. The house was absolutely immaculate, all of the furnishings were of the very highest quality. Extra bedding, towels etc. Air conditioning in every room. The location is brilliant, really quiet, but so close to the centre of Narbonne. Every thing is just a stroll away. The pool and outside space is absolutely lovely, really restful and again immaculately clean. We would certainly love to be able to come back and stay here again.
We came to stay for a wedding nearby and were a group of 6 adults and our 18 month old twins. It was absolutely perfect for us! There’s so much for littles ones, loads of toys inside and a trampoline, swing set, huge garden and of course the pool outside! All very safe as well. Isabelle was excellent at answering all our questions and arranged for travel cots and high chairs for our little ones. She also helped us find local amenities etc. and provided a fantastic info pack with lots to do in the local area. We visited a lovely local lake with a beach, Saint-Émilion and a local vineyard/restaurant all around 15 minutes drive away. The bakery she recommended 5 minutes down the road was also delightful! Can't recommend this enough if you’re looking for a beautiful château in the countryside.
We are truly sad to be leaving this incredible house, beautiful landscape and extraordinary people. We have felt truly ‘at home’ here and have so enjoyed being ‘en famille’ in such a wonderful house. You have both been so welcoming and we go home feeling we have made good friends. We’re now even more determined to find our own ‘patch’ of this wonderful region to call home. A Bientot’. We absolutely loved being here. The home you’ve created is a beautiful entity, with such thought at every turn, and the surrounding gardens have a tremendous sense of peace. Thank you for all the well-planned details, and the delicious tart that awaited us (and therefore an introduction to the most incredible boulangerie!). We leave with a filled-up nourishment, and hope we can come back. Wishing you both a peaceful and joyful year.
