What a gorgeous retreat from city life! We booked three weeks at the house and enjoyed every minute of it. The outside kitchen is fantastic, it felt like we had our own private restaurant. The pool was perfect for our three children and the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains are stunning. Alexandra was easily contactable in case of any queries or issues. All in all, highly recommended!

I loved this holiday. I love sport so I sent most of my days in the gorgeous pool, I would practice my swimming and then float around and look at the blue sky. I loved the tennis court and spend hours practicing my forehand. The château is so pretty, it could have been made up. Any kid would love this place.
We had a fantastic 5 days at the lovely apartment. The location was wonderful being 30 seconds from the beach and also having access to the roof top pool (in an adjacent building). There was easy access to a train line (20 minutes flat walk) or bus lines. A supermarket with a 5 minute walk was a bonus. For eating out there were lots of choices with a 10 minute walk offering a range of different choices. The view from the apartment was lovely with a view across the bay towards Nice. The apartment was everything we wanted. Beach activities were plenty from jet skiing, sailing to snorkelling etc.
A great time was had by all. We loved this little piece of paradise in Provence! Magnifique! Hope we'll be back again sometime.
We had a wonderful stay at Maison Hirondelles. We very much enjoyed our stay at your beautiful villa. Accommodation was excellent, well equipped and very comfortable. We were not too familiar with the region, but since we live in a highly fast-paced city, we knew we wanted a tranquil and somewhat less-touristy vacation spot surrounded by nature. Through an amazing agency, we were able to lease the cottage for two weeks in late August and had an amazing time there. The property dates back to 1750 and is fully well-renovated - every detail has been taken into consideration so one is able to enjoy the experience of staying in an authentic French country house, but with modern amenities that enhance the original character of the property, rather than detract from it. The town and the people are very charming and there are restaurants, cafés, a grocery store, shops, butcher shops, etc. and an excellent choice of patisseries and boulangeries, which my husband happily frequented every morning in order to bring back fresh breakfast goodies! There is a weekly market in the town square, just a 5-minute drive from the house selling amazing produce and other artisanal delights! The town is within a comfortable drive from beautiful sites in neighboring Beynac, Sarlat and Bergerac, not counting other small picturesque places you find on the way. And if you haven't done much research, fret not because the owners of the home have compiled quite an impressive binder of information with all of the popular attractions and must-see places in the area. I do not over-exaggerate when I say the house is extremely well-equipped as if it were our own home! When we were not out sightseeing during the morning, we were downstairs preparing food in the kitchen, which may seem small in the photos, but it is spacious and the layout is wonderful - the oven and stove are ideal for seasoned cooks, there is a full-size dishwasher and tons of pots, pans, utensils, gadgets and appliances - all in superb condition, so we wanted for nothing. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Maison Bourg Cales, which I would highly recommend to anyone in search of an idyllic, quiet getaway in the beautiful French countryside.
We were able to have a great week with friends at this house, which matched the photos perfectly. The host is very accommodating and accommodating. Amenities are complete, different living spaces are spacious, the pool area is a real plus. I'd recommend it!

Magical, inviting, soothing, AMAZING! The villa was truly magical, while also invoking a sense of home. The community areas are large enough that you never feel crowded and there are several places to "hide" within the property for true soul searching/peace with a magnificent view at every turn. Very well maintained and quaint restaurants/shops just a short walk away, but not too close(you still feel tucked away). HIGHLY recommend!!
I had a week in August and had a wonderful time. The property was immaculate and extremely well appointed. The location beautiful and exceeded expectations. I also wanted to share the fantastic hospitality of the host, Debbie. There were homemade yoghurts in the morning and a private yoga session arranged. Recommendations on restaurants and places to see. This was all done without being pushy or infringing on our holiday or privacy in any way.
In terms of scores / feedback: Housekeeping: 5/5. The rooms were all very well prepared. Location: 5/5. Met our needs entirely. Peaceful and yet easily accessible. Accommodation and Comfort: 5/5. The house is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. The Aga was a joy to use. The bathroom was spotless. The fan in the bedroom was helpful. The garden (where we spent most of our time) is a wonderfully private space. The pool is a great size...the water was crystal clear all week.
With our thanks for allowing us to spend a week in your marvellous villa. Weather could have been kinder but lovely and easy to re-visit the Languedoc towns and attractions that we know well. La Panouille (village restaurant in walking distance) a big hit with us.
What a fabulous two weeks we have had. A beautiful property lovingly cared for by Danielle. A great helpful host. We had wonderful days out touring the surrounding villages and towns but always great to come back to the inviting pool, especially in the heat bomb we experienced.
We had a fabulous time staying in this very stylish and well equipped house, enjoying both the heat wave and the incredible storm. We loved the swimming pool and the pool and table tennis tables. We visited Vaison la Romaine and Avignon and enjoyed both of them. The market in Nyons was very impressive and very busy, so it was worth going early. We loved eating at the resto des arts in Nyons particulary enjoying the ravioli. Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely house it is quite stunning.

You could not wish for more in a holiday accommodation. Everything about this place is perfect – the warm welcome by the hosts, the beautifully designed and furnished gite, the very special location and brilliant views over vineyards, forest and softly rolling hills, the helpful recommendations from Esther and Leonard. We only have one regret – and that is that we didn’t stay long enough.
Like a 5 star hotel! What a great week we spent in your lovely home in France. You have done it so well and we really felt we were staying in a family home not simply a gîte. Your attention to detail shows. The garden is beautiful and all the 'toys' were very much appreciated with a week long tennis and croquet tournament! And of course the piece de resistance was the swimming area which was like a 5 star hotel.

I cannot say how much I love this amazing old stone farmhouse; it has been so immaculately restored and is both stylish and supremely comfortable. The gardens are beautiful (what a fantastic collection of Salvias) and the infinity pool, with its view over the surrounding countryside, is a dream ( both for proper swimming of lengths and for sunbathing). I could spend all day here. It is lovely to have a choice of outdoor eating areas for long lunches or relaxing dinners. I love the fact the there are lots of delightful historic Bastide towns within easy driving distance, both for historical sightseeing , fabulous food markets and outstanding restaurants (Auberge Le Prieure at Moirax being my personal favourite !) I have visited the house three times now and each visit has been magic.
We have really enjoyed our stay at Le Manoir des Sines. It really is a stunning property.
An absolute gem of a house! We came here for a fortnight with a mixture of friends, family and even a cricket team (touring France). And we had the most delightful stay. It really feels like a luxurious home from home, with lovely comfortable furniture, beautiful spacious grounds, a first rate tennis court and pool and a beautiful 'bolet' (veranda) on which to sit and enjoy the local wine… Highly recommended!

We spent 2 very good weeks in the house. The rental corresponds exactly to the photos published on the site and it was very clean when we arrived. The owners provided us with a wide description of the house, people to contact in case of concerns, visits to do allowing us to spend our stay in peace. The owner is easily reachable; an agent is on site in case of problems and a person is responsible for the maintenance of the pool every 3 to 4 days. The house is ideal for 2 couples with children because there are bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the ground floor and upstairs. We highly recommend this rental and thank Terry and Carol for the welcome.
We are a family of 5 with 3 teenage kids. From the first day, we settled in and found it very difficult to leave after two weeks. The owners have not only created a wonderfully rustic house, but it has been very well thought out, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for a family of 5. This is complemented by one of the best settings you could imagine - gently rolling hills set back from a quiet country road. Being a sporty family, we used the beautiful pool every day. Most private pools in France are under 10 metres, so we really appreciated the full 13 metres to swim some laps. Much to our delight, there was an outdoor badminton court and boules area. The big, flat lawn at the top of the property was the perfect place to kick some balls around. The surrounding area is a delight to discover. From limestone caves, to underground churches carved out of the hillside, to charming market towns, to river 'beaches' for cooling off, the area never seems crowded. All this, coupled with the exquisite food and drink from the region (at exceptional prices), makes this an area that the discerning tourist should not miss. We cannot recommend staying here highly enough. The owners, who live next door, are the perfect hosts. They never once intruded on our privacy, but were more than happy to chat and provide advice, if asked. We look forward to returning!

Highly Enjoyable Stay! We were here 18 years ago and enjoyed it even more this time. It got to 40C during the day, so the new air conditioning unit was particularly appreciated at night-time. Very many thanks.
