We have had a wonderfully relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable two weeks at this beautiful gite. It has been fantastically and sensitively renovated both inside and out. The pool is an absolute joy to sit by and relax, read and take in the scenery! Also, Pete has been an excellent host, a mine of local knowledge. We enjoyed visiting Monpazier, Issigeac, Villereal and Sarlat.
Just to say thank you. We had a lovely time and your home was wonderful and we will recommend. I don't think that there is anything you could improve! Thanks also for arranging great weather! We had managed to get around to quite a few of the places you recommended and had some very nice meals in Pézenas and Neffiès. Hope to be back at some point.

Not only do you have a truly beautiful house in a fantastic location, but your hospitality, support and advice allowed us to relax and enjoy our break to the full. Many thanks for making our stay so enjoyable. Charming house, full of space and activities to satisfy travelers of all ages. We also loved the bike paths, visiting San Sebastian and Biarritz and the beach. Nice to show the horses to the baby and to pick fresh raspberries and figs from the trees and bushes. Excellent place for the dog too. Michel the chef was pleasant and accommodating, allowing us to discover the local cuisine. We will be back!
Back again! We loved our stay here so much we decided to come back and it did not disappoint. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed both local walks (marked maps provided at the house). Impressive thunder storms and lovely blue skies. Would recommend Castres, Revel and Hautpoul for local trips (all within 30 to 40 minutes drive).
We had a wonderful holiday at La Maison Blanche. The location is stunning, a huge garden with a large pool - overlooking a field of sunflowers when we were there. We were two couples with two older children and the house is very spacious and beautifully furnished. The location is very peaceful. Whilst that means that shops, local markets and restaurants are not within walking distance the house is very well equipped, both for cooking and barbequeing as well as entertainment with the pool, table tennis and games. We loved the setting, location and character of this beautiful house which we feel could tell many interesting stories (... if only walls could speak!). Our boys loved the pool and made great friends with the friendly tortoise. R. favours the name 'Toby' and B. likes 'Edouard'. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch for my birthday at Bistro Maritime and looking forward to dinner at Bistro Pharell for our last evening. Great days out exploring St-Émilion-Libourne. A great trip by train (so easy) to Bordeaux. The bassin de lumière is amazing if you have a wet day. We also loved watching the Mascaret from the house - so glad we were here on the 'right' day.
We have had a very good break in your house, which is incredible. The house is well equipped and superbly decorated.
This was our first ever holiday rental and it has set the bar very high indeed. From the moment we arrived to a warm and friendly welcome by our hosts (Katerina and Stephen) to the time we departed with the same warmth and friendliness still on display we could not have wanted a better start to our extended holiday. The cottage is very well appointed and is a perfect size for a couple. It had all the facilities one would hope to find to make our two weeks very much a 'home from home' sensation and provided space for the two of us to move around comfortably. The pool is also excellent and reflects the great care our hosts took in ensuring everything was perfectly presented. The location - in the Vezere valley - is ideal for visiting the numerous attractions of the area. Pre historic caves, stalagmite and stalactite caves, fortified houses, gorgeous châteaux and so many utterly charming villages. We even ventured into a canoe for a 12km cruise down the Vezere which allowed us to see the valley from a different perspective. Although we love visiting different places there is a high probability of us coming back again!

Fantastic holiday in this fantastic mini-château. Having recently arrrived from California and staying with our French in-laws, it was a truly amazing holiday. Lots of eating, drinking, swimming, tourism and of course table-tennis. A bientôt.
We absolutely loved our stay at Château du Pic de Rigaud. It was the best stay out of our 9 weeks in France. The home is stunning, but it was also immaculately clean. My youngest child is crawling, so I'm more appreciative than ever of a clean home. Honestly though, Henrietta (the house manager) made all the difference! From making a doctors appointment for one child and offering to translate, to baby proofing the house and providing all necessary baby items, we were blown away by her level of service. Merci!
We had a wonderful holiday here. The pool was just right and we barbecued several nights without any hassle or problems (this from a true non- barbecue person!) I particularly liked being able to move round the house as the day wore on either keeping in the sun, or out of it as the notion took you. The little town within 5 minutes drive had excellent shops and a couple of very handy supermarkets, whilst a bit further afield there were excellent restaurants. All in all a place to savour and appreciate.
Dear friends from Paris hosted us as their guests at your château. They could not have given us a more memorable, magical, truly incredible experience!
Hi, we had a fabulous stay as a family of 4, including two teens. Completely peaceful and beautifully renovated to a very high standard. We found it hard to leave to do other activities, although the Saturday market in Auch was lovely, Aside from the pool and space, the complete plus for us was watching the wildlife. Hare, rabbits, deer and owls coming in the evening, with the widest range of birds of prey flying over that we’ve ever seen. Luckily we’d brought the camera and spent time every day trying to get good pictures.. Michelle was a great host and really took time and care to make sure we had everything we needed for a super stay! We’d love to return..
I think I can speak for all 11 of us in saying we had a wonderful holiday at La Barde once again. I'd never been so early in the year before (in May), but we still used the pool every single day. The advantage of coming a little earlier this year was seeing your garden in full glory and the Dordogne before being 'bleached' by the sun - and we really enjoyed burning logs on the huge open fire in the kitchen every late evening (it's normally too warm for this!). Everything was just right, Helen, as usual (and beds even more comfortable than last time)! I always enjoy the mixture of authentic farmhouse and stylish chic design of La Barde. And it was as peaceful and relaxing as ever - batteries are recharged!
A wonderful week for three generations of us, from 128 months to 70 years. We've had a great time.

I just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic holiday. The only terrible part was leaving! The house was perfect and we all fell in love with it. And the views were wonderful from every room. The whole family have lots of happy memories of our 2 weeks there so thank you.

Lovely mini break exploring Sarlat. The weather has been very mild for October and we've been able to lounge in the sun which we weren't expecting. Visits to Beynac Chateau and Eyrignac gardens were also lovely. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay in La Forge. Quiet and charming gite with swimming pool in a small, rural village surrounded by beautiful countryside and interesting places to visit. A very helpful yet discreet proprietor, living close by, who was only too happy to help with any questions we had. Highly recommended.
Amazing house and garden. So comfortable and so much to admire. We loved the garden, the pol and all the wonderful artefacts in the house. We would love to come back again sometime soon.
