We had the best time in this gorgeous house! We ate so many pain au chocolat but made up for it with lots of games of tennis, volleyball and badminton! Thank you so much!
First visit was in 2010 for two weeks in May. This one-week revisit was a long-delayed family Christmas holiday. The house is charming, well-maintained and comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to local cafes and restaurants, shops, the amazing Saturday market and in-town sites of historical and architectural interest. Outside town, just 15 to 30 minutes by car are numerous chateaux, gardens, museums, prehistoric sites with cave paintings and more. So much to do and then a lovely place to come home to. Jackie was a wonderful host.

We are back home after a very good two weeks. The weather was nice and warm the first week (wonderful for the pool). We drank very good wine and visited very good restaurants. (Franck Putelat in Carcassone, Octopus in Béziers, Cot Mas, Lauzun in Gignac, Presbytery in Vailhan etc). We visited the marches and cooked with excellent and fresh products. We discovered a bakery with wood fire in Canet and visited many beautiful places. With this beautiful house - a perfect vacation. We met Olivier and Raphael - friendly and funny and we drank a beer together. We look forward to returning next year.
It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. A week stay with all the family. Villa Colline is a superb ultra modern luxury villa, fitted with stunning furniture and accessories. The modern kitchen is very well equipped and the bedrooms are all very luxurious, especially the master room with its hot tub. For me, it was the pool and the numerous sun terraces which pleased me, especially the private areas with each room - little havens of peace! We had a fantastic week and we give the villa 10/10 ! Great stay in a large villa very comfortable! The pool is very nice. The accommodation, well equipped, located in a friendly village at a good distance from Béziers and the seaside resorts of the coast.
Many thanks for your hospitality; we've very much enjoyed our stay at the Loft. You've clearly gone to a lot of effort to ensure that your guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay. We certainly appreciated the supper that you provided for us on the first night - much appreciated after a day of travel. Drinks and nibbles in the garden with you both was also a lovely touch; always on hand, but never imposing. Best of luck with the next chapter of your renovations!
A wonderful stay at the beautiful gite. Sue and Patrick were the perfect hosts. We had lots of fun exploring the areawith our two sons. In particular, we loved the new pool, with our eldest learning to swim on our trip! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We enjoyed the house, pool and garden. We took a private boar charter on the canal. We visited restaurants and enjoyed using the 'running track' around the garden.

Steven and Bruce have a fantastic place and they really went the extra mile to make our stay totally enjoyable. We've been staying at places in France for 20 or so years and we always come back fairly pleased, but perhaps with one or two thoughts about how something or other could have been better, but I think this is the first time we've come back and been unable to think of anything that was less than perfect.
Beautiful home. A lovely house with gardens, exceptionally peaceful and private. Lovely pool and all the facilities. Saint-Alvère also a lovely village.

Impossible to overestimate how very kind and helpful are the two hosts, Caterina and Steve, Cottage Du Jardin is peaceful and very comfortable. It’s wonderful to have a comfortable sofa in the gite as we know from experience. Everything you need is there: washing machine, dishwasher, washing line, fridge, freezer, UK TV channels et cetera. The TV takes DvdS. The long pool is set among beautiful plants in the garden. You can do 20 back strokes, it’s so long, the sun loungers are comfortable. Shady table for cool lunches. Intermarche just up the road. The best thing is that the local casino little shop has daily bread and there are two restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended by two France veterans. Visit Lascaux 11- one English tour a week. You’ll remember it for life. And visit Le Bugue market on Tuesdays - Bruno’s town in the Martin Walker Books. Lots and lots of fiction in the cottage; save on your packing weight.
It's gone too quickly! Lovely stay at Château du Pic de Rigaud, such an impressive building and even more fabulous views!! We made the most of the pool when the sun was out and when cloudy would highly recommend the walk up to the NAjac fortress and kayaking (Saint-Antonin - but more adventurous than Najac!) and the tree tops walk at the river (Najac!). We had a delicious dinner at Mont le Viaur Hotel (booked by Henrietta - Thank you!). Highly recommend! Hope we visit again one day!
Dear owners of Le Grand Mas de Valcros. We have just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in your home. From the pictures we knew it was going to be a nice villa. However when we walked in we realised it gem! There is really nothing we did not like about your house. Its feels like home to us after one week and it made our family vacation even more precious. We certainly hope to be back in the future!

Charming host. Beautiful location with magnificent views with vines and sunflowers. Perfect for running and walking. Good clean pool with covered area alongside so ideal for being in the shade. House very comfortable with all amenities including air con throughout.

What a week at Château Richelieu, where we were fortunate enough to get married in front of 90 of our closest friends and family! To say it was an amazing experience and venue would almost be doing it a dis-service! It's hard to put down in words just how perfect our big day was at Château Richelieu. It would be very difficult to beat as a venue for a wedding and we would not have had our day anywhere else in the world. Our hosts could not have done any more for us. The support before, during and after the wedding has been above and beyond. Honestly, cannot recommend Château Richelieu highly enough and we will definitely be returning with friends / family for another visit.
Anthony and Rachel make wonderful hosts being friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and also very generous with their excellent "welcome pack". We loved the whole region: Carcassonne and Mirepoix are a "must" (the owners of the "Mad Hatter" cafe in Mirepoix are Brits) and we enjoyed the markets at Mirepoix and Revel. Also enjoyed the drive south from Revel through the pretty villages/small town of Saissac. Lagrasse is a pleasant village but a tad overrated in our view. On the other hand, we loved Minerve and the Minervois region including the small town of Caunes-Minervois. Fontfroide is worth a visit and Montesegur is a must if in that area. We enjoyed Peyriac de-Mer and Gruissan on the coast but would avoid Narbonne Plage on another occasion - great beach though! Toulouse is a pleasant city and worth a visit if cities are "your thing" and the SNCF smartphone app worked brilliantly. For a special lunch, Cote Resto is a must. Excellent food and in a wonderful setting.
Highly recommended. The house was very spacious, tidy and even more beautiful than in the photos. There is a large beautiful and enclosed garden and by the pool a nice terrace. The owner were really friendly and helpful. Both we and our 5 dogs had a great vacation. We will definitely go back again!
