Thanks to Marie-Christine and Olivier for their kindness, their availability and their excellent advice! The villa lives up to the photos and description and the location, in the heights of Saint-Raphaël, allows you to avoid the traffic down there! We recommend because we had a vacation as we hoped!
Tortoise name suggestions:- Sherman Victor Esio Trot (anagram for tortoise + book +TV show!) Sheldon (The Big Bang Theory TV). We have enjoyed a wonderful week in your stunning house. Mostly enjoying the weather and pool! We have seen the red squirrel, lizards, water vole and many birds. It's so peaceful and beautiful, we will miss it.
Very comfortable gite with friendly and helpful yet unobtrusive hosts. Lovely pool. Just 10 mins drive to excellent boulangerie and general store.

We have returned again as promised and, despite the worst weather we have experienced in France in over 20 years, we had a lovely time. Even indoors there were still plenty of things to do in the sheltered area to sit and play card games, or challenge each other to a game of table tennis in the barn. A very comfortable and well-equipped house. Thank you for your kind hospitality and we hope to return again soon!
I spent a week at this villa in September with my young family. It was perfect. Villa: The property itself is beautiful. It enjoys a large plot and is nicely secluded. The property is very well maintained. The bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen etc. look as they have recently been refurbished. The pool area / gardens are stunning and very well secluded. There is a pool-house equipped with a brick barbecue, kitchen / dining area and shower / toilet. We spent most of our time in this area. Location: The drive from Nice airport is about 45 minutes - it's quite a straightforward journey, mostly on the motorway. I believe Marseille airport is a similar distance away. The property sits in a very nice, secluded area close to many vineyards. The town square (Vidauban) is about 5 minutes' drive from the property. There you will find everything you need from supermarkets through to restaurants and bars. St Tropez, Cannes and Monaco are all under 1 hour away by car Overall, I would highly recommend this villa. I have stayed at other villas in France, which have felt quite dated. This property has been very well maintained and modernised, but still has that French charm about it. We will definitely be returning to this property
The house was very large for our couple but we'e enjoyed the space in the house and around the house. The pool is just perfect with its 16m you can really do a bit of exercise after having had too much food and wines. It was a very relaxing holiday and a nice region to discover.
We have stayed several times in this superb house, very well equipped, the swimming pool is great and the view is breathtaking. This little village is worth the detour.
We’ve had a wonderful time thank you. Yes, it did get pretty hot last week, but coming from England we shouldn’t moan..! It’s such a stunning location and the house is very comfortable and cool in the heat. We really don’t want to go home but I’m afraid we have to… Maybe we can come again next summer?
The most tranquil spot to spend a holiday next to a perfect pool, eating, drinking and relaxing. Stunning house and gardens, we didn't want to leave.
We have spend a wonderful holiday at the villa. The villa is ideal, spacious and nicely decorated. The children loved the pool and the table tennis table! It is an ideal base to visit the region. The market in Pézenas should not be missed. We have driven a boat, ridden horses and hired bikes in Marseillan and seen flamingoes! Dream holiday. Thank you again for your kindness and hospitality. On our bucket list we wrote a holiday with the whole family consisting of 13 people. We chose to stay at the Bastide which appeared a perfect choice. We had the space we needed, plenty of rooms, bathrooms and toilets. Equipment of the villa was complete. We had a few issues but Thomas, our host solved everything asap. As kids, teenagers and adults we all enjoyed the stay as we had plenty of possibilities next to the outstanding pool of the house. Hiking in the environment, fishing in the lake nearby, pool table, soccer table, table tennis. And of course we used the BBQs a lot while enjoying the wonderful wines of the domaine. Thank you Thomas for your effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Highly recommended as a valuable investment in an unforgettable holiday.
Merci pour une quinzaine fantastique ! It was a wonderful place to spend a special birthday celebration with friends and family. The house was beautiful and we enjoyed the luxurious feel and the tasteful decor. The extra touches were much appreciated - from the breakfast deliveries and amazing meal and setting at Le Pourquoi Pas. We also enjoyed the visit to the cave at Saint-Chinian. We enjoyed the meal at the family run restaurant La Tournelle, a friendly service and very reasonable prices. For another gourmet lunch with an impressive view we enjoyed the Tour at Monterey. Good value set lunch. Thank you for everything.
Fabulous Villa and location We've been coming to the south of France for year and specifically to this area and to Seillans for the last 5 years... and this villa is as good as we have ever stayed. The villa is impeccably kept, extremely comfortable and has the most magnificent views. Everything in the villa is as advertised and works well. The restaurants of Seillans are a short walk away. Although the town itself unfortunately has no boulangerie or patisserie, Fayence is only a 5 minute drive away and has a great one of those, plus a boucherie / charcuterie around the corner, both of which are close to the big Super U supermarket. The terrace and pool are East-facing. We were worried that in the photos it looked like there was little shade provided but with the big awnings for the terrace and a few parasols for the pool, finding shade from the morning sun was not a problem. We love this area for the beautiful mountain villages (seillans, Callian, Tourrettes etc) but the ease of getting around in the largely flat area south of those villages so you can get to Cannes, Grasse and the beaches. We had a great one week vacation in Maison Lemance. The house is fully equipped and you will find everything you need in the kitchen, games room for the children, great pool and even a ping-pong table. There is a big and beautiful garden that is great for the children to run around, while we were drinking wine on the balcony. The owner left us a list of recommendations for activities and restaurants in the region which was very useful. We highly recommend staying in Maison Lemance.
