The house is great. Lovely warm pool, table tennis table, huge grounds, lovely area, lots of culture nearby, nice local town with excellent market.
Fantastic time in this great house and location. 2 weeks of rest, relaxation and fun with the kids and extended family. Thank you. What a wonderful place! So much for the kids to do - swimngs, slide, trampoline, swimming and may runing races, lots of yumy wines and cheese. Two scrumptious meals cooked by Tim and Ali. Very tempted to return next year! Thank you. What an amazing find, fantastic location and beautiful house. We had an awesome 2 weeks with extended family and friends. Great hospitality from Tim and Ali. Thanks a million. We have had a wonderful relaxing week at Le Malardier. The house is stunning and photographs do not do it justice. We loved watching the sun rise, taking in the view with our morning coffee. The pool and pool house have been enjoyed by all. Leisurely lunches in the outdoor dining area and a game of boules in the evening. Many thanks to Richard and Gay who have been so helpful and superb hosts.
Wow! What a week, went so fast but was a truly special. The chateau is so grand with secrets to be found all around. Paul, Julie and Steven were amazing, taking us fishing and ensuring we had all we needed! I will miss this place and already want to come back!! Thank you!!
Sam's place was what we were looking for for a family with kids of 12 and 10 respectively. Accessibility of the Lot Valley and Dordogne meant there were plenty of options for outings and facilities to be explored and enjoyed for adults and kids alike. Very local night markets were also a highlight of our stay. The property was very well equipped with indoor games and with equipment to enjoy the outdoor spaces. It is exceedingly quiet and peaceful with few cars passing by which makes for a very relaxing and restful environment for time spent at the property. We left feeling very well refreshed.
We had a beautiful fou-poster suite with claw footed bath in this attractive country château. We enjoyed a lazy week in glorious sunshine in August dipping in and out of the outdoor heated swimming pool. The château has extensive grounds in which to walk off dinner and is surrounded by peaceful countryside. Bourges was a great place to visit, both cathedral, palace and gardens were a must-see. We were with a large party of friends who took it in turns to cook and we ate outside on the terrace watching the sun go down.
We swam in the pool every day - temperature 29°c - in January! We did indeed enjoy the 12 days with you, the house and the surroundings. Very invigorating for both of us and very enjoyable to meet you both.
Kids really enjoyed the grounds and plenty to keep them entertained even when the weather was not as nice. So much space to run around and explore. Great pool, very clean. Owners went above and beyond to help us, even offering to give us a lift when needed. Welcoming and friendly reception from Nick and Takayla - really helpful and on hand when needed.
Well kept gardens and lovely house. Would highly recommend to anyone. Extras like the UK adapters were a nice touch. Pool made the children holiday. It was also very clean and perfect size and depth. Great hosts, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a lovely stay.
We had a fantastic holiday at the property and to be quite honest, didn't want to leave. Glum faced we are looking back on our holiday snaps wishing we weren't back in the gloomy English weather, but sitting out on the glorious verandah! Your hospitality was second-to-none and the whole holiday faultless.

Cédric, another wonderful holiday in your beautiful villa. We enjoyed it so much, with trips towards Narbonne, the Canal du Midi, Pézenas, Gruissan for the stage 16 of the Tour de France, as well as lots of time in the fantastic pool! you wer a great host, showing us your new wine cellar (I didn't drink all the wine!) and telling us your plans to make the house even better. Our first time here and we are rather proud of ourselves that we have discovered this gem. Its been unseasonably hot but the pool, house and gardens were up to the task. Wonderful spaces and wonderful Hosts. We hope that it will not be our last visit here, there is so much more to explore.
We’ve just come back from a wonderful stay at Manoir Coutenson. The spacious and well maintained accommodation met the needs of our party of 15 perfectly, ranging from ages 1 to 85. The accommodation was even nicer than shown in the photos, as the sitting room had been refurbished. We particularly loved the on site activities (table tennis, pétanque, pool etc) and the sitting area by the pool! There were many thoughtful touches, including toys for younger children, board games and a well stocked kitchen. The site managers were on hand to help with any queries and advise on places to visit. The Manoir is well located close to Casteljaloux for supermarket, shops, market etc and there is lots to do in the surrounding area. We’d certainly love to stay here again!
The property is out in the countryside and provided a very welcome quite location for a relaxing vacation. We stayed here during early August. The property has character, built in traditional stone and has extensive grounds to explore. There is a wonderful view of the Château de Biron from the front of the property. The château is well worth a visit and if you climb to the top you can pick out the property in the distance. The pool is fantastic and we spent many hours by and in the pool. We had great fun playing water volleyball. The house has all amenities that you want, although the Wi-Fi can be slow, but this has to be expected out in the country as I explained to my children! If staying here in the summer, take a walk just before sunset, out the drive and turn left. Just down the road you will catch some great sunsets and you are likely to see lots of deer at the same time. Visit Monpazier a few miles away. It's a great place to find a restaurant and wonder around this beautiful bastide town.
Thank you so much for a wonderful week in Les Averries! A fantastic spot for children and adults. We feel we only 'scratched the surface' of the beautiful Val de Loire and would love to come back sometime soon. Thank you for being such a thoughtful and helpful host Michel. We have now filled our car with wonderful wine from the Caslot winery and our minds full of wonderful memories.

A lovely house in a spectacular location. Thanks for a fabulous time in this amazing part of France. The surrounding scenery was spectacular - unforgettable views from the house and pool terrace. Everything we needed in the house and super pool area. Local shops and restaurants within walking distance were great. What a brilliant find!
Would give 10 stars if I could- wonderful stay. The house was so clean and well prepared for us. Felt luxury rustic. There was great detail put into the design. Easy communication with the owner. Great location down a picturesque street and easy to get in and out of Gordes town. Would definitely stay here again.

This truly is a wonderful property with friendly, welcoming hosts; it was even better in the flesh than in the pictures. The house lacks for nothing in either charm or the quality of the finish internally and everything was provided to make our stay as comfortable as one would hope. This was a true 'home from home' with several thoughtful little touches that made all the difference (fresh soap in the bathroom, coffee pods and bottled water if we wanted it in the kitchen to name just a few). All of this, in combination with a fantastically picturesque and peaceful location means that we cannot recommend this property highly enough and will most definitely be back next time we visit the Languedoc, Occitanie region!

Gorgeous. Very well maintained, yet still updated with modern amenities. All in all, an amazing stay and trip and we'd recommend Château Charente to anyone touring the area.
