We have had a lovely peaceful time here. The house has been beautifully and thoughtfully done. The mountains look wonderful in the early morning. Fascinating, if hot, excursions - Cathar castles, abbeys and restaurants - a lovely area to explore. Thank you very much.

I've had the privilege to stay at Villa Lavinière for three weeks and have felt welcomed, relaxed every day. Cycling to nearby by villages, visiting the vineyards and enjoying the sun and the wine of the local area are all highly recommended. Thank you for allowing me to stay for this very special get away. I will cherish the memory of the time here.
First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this house is, with its warm inviting rooms, its wonderful outside spaces and fabulous heated pool. It is decorated in a comfortable style that makes you feel as if you are at home and not in holiday accommodation. It is extremely clean; the kitchen and bathrooms, spotless, The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of clean sheets and towels. The house is fairly large and my husband I and stayed on our own, but we felt safe and secure. Obviously, with all the space, it is ideal for families, but equally as inviting for groups of friends. Situated in a small village, it is quiet - you can hear the church bells ringing in the local church. We loved to walk around the village and through the fields behind the house. We did think about going on a bike ride but decided just to sit by the pool most afternoons. It is an easy drive to Saint-Émilion (and other local vineyards) - my husband managed to find it without getting us lost! The drive from the airport probably took us about 40 minutes. Isabelle gave us wonderful direction - she speaks perfect English. In a word - wonderful!
Magnificent old sheepfold, spacious, bright, and comfortable. The views are incredible with its large heated pool and park. Everything is within driving distance: supermarkets, typical villages, restaurants, and multiple excursions. And finally, the owners are attentive and absolutely charming!
The house and the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Facilities were excellent. Fantastic holiday.

My family had a fantastic 3-week holiday in La Barde, a beautifully renovated farmhouse. So fantastic, in fact, that we secured a repeat booking for the following year prior to departing. We found the property extremely spacious, sympathetically renovated, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for family day-to-day living. The securely gated pool is perfect for children and we all looked forward to cooling off there each afternoon after exploring the various local food markets and other wonderful excursions. The pool is actually quite large, which meant that the keener members of our party could exercise properly and swim lengths whilst the rest of us happily relaxed and drank local wines. The shallow end is ideal for young children to play or practice their swimming and there is a slightly separate paddling pool which is perfect for babies and toddlers. There is a barn area with a large BBQ, which we used most evenings, a ping pong table and lots of lawn games. The courtyard, lawn and gardens are obviously lovingly cared for and just beautiful. La Barde is the perfect setting for children to play and for family and friends to relax, talk, eat and drink. Helen and John gave us a warm welcome and were happy to help with any information we needed. They kindly shared some delicious fruit from their garden with us, which we very much enjoyed cooking and eating. We think this is the perfect place for groups of friends or families to holiday together and celebrate special occasions (it would be an amazing place to host a wedding or spend Christmas) because the size and the layout of the house and grounds mean there is plenty of space for more than one family to be together as well as enough space to have privacy. The location is ideal in terms of exploring the Dordogne. We would highly recommend booking this property any time of the year. We couldn’t believe our luck and can’t wait to return again this summer!
We have had an amazing two weeks here in this lovely home. We have enjoyed exploring the local area. We loved kayaking and using a pedalo on the River Lot. We have made really good use of the pool and the secret garden. Thank you so much Alan and Madeline for all your kindness and consideration - and especially taking us on that lovely walk. A beautiful romantic setting carefully renovated by the owner to give a wonderful Provençal experience. The closeness to Gordes and all the other hill top villages nearby made this a dream vacation for myself and my family.
Our stay was as much about the garden as the stunning house, the electronic gate at the entrance worked a treat each time we used it. Three of us each had a bedroom and all the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and lounge were fully equipped so we wanted for nothing. We linked our laptop in to the CD via a two-to-one 3.5mm jack lead which we take everywhere, so were able to listen to our collection of music through quite a reasonable hi-fi system. The large TV, although not HD, was great for any English programmes you just couldn't miss, even on holiday! We made the ten minute scenic drive up to the boulangerie at Bertric-Buree for our baguettes, croissants and pain-a-raisins most days as there are no shops in Lusignac, just a bar restaurant. The croissants were enjoyed sitting outside the kitchen / living room area on the middle floor, which has a stunning view. For our first week, the temperatures were in the mid-thirties so it was lovely to cool off in the pool. With the pool being quite long, you could actually swim, rather than just splash about which was great to keep a little bit of fitness going. Now the garden. As having a very keen interest in natural history, especially butterflies, we contacted the owner and asked if he could leave the grass uncut, so that any wild flowers would be there to attract butterflies for our photography. He duly obliged. This resulted in a count of thirty one species of butterfly just in the garden, with another five spotted whilst out on our travels. Non-British species included Scarce Swallowtail, Swallowtail, Pearly Heath, Mallow Skipper, Map and the star of the show, Large Blue, which were extinct in Britain until being reintroduced recently. The grass areas provided a fantastic environment for butterflies and other insects. This little area truly is a spectacular insect haven. This is without the lavender hedge which runs down one side of the entire drive. No red squirrels, but we watched birds of prey circling as the farmer cut the field in the valley and amongst other species of birds, there were a pair of Golden Orioles which flew by regularly. If you are looking for a modern house in an attractive location with lovely pool, lovely view and ridiculous number of butterflies, this is it!

We, grandparents, parents and our little daughter, spent two fantastic weeks in this wonderful villa in Fréjus. The villa offers plenty of room for a bigger family. You can find everything you need for a pleasant stay. It's fully furnished. lovely decorated and well appointed with kitchenware and with everything you might need. There is a lushy, well maintained garden with a swimming pool and plenty of sunbeds. We loved our stay there with the beautiful view over Fréjus to the sea. We can recommend this villa to everyone looking for a peaceful, quite summer vacation. The owners are as well extremely friendly and helpful.

We have had a wonderful week. The children have spent almost the entire week in the pool and the adults some wonderful meals at Le Petite Coutures, Verteillac evening market and lunch at La Cour de Miracles. We've loved the views and the full moon rising over the forest was spectacular. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Perfect surroundings to relax and spend our holiday week. We have enjoyed the spacious house, garden and the pool as well as the wonderful warm weather! The pituresque villages nearby have truly been a spectacular experience. We have spent a very nice week at the villa. We would have loved to stay longer but our holidays are now over and we are going back to the North.
What a wonderful Loft! We love all the furniture; so lovely to have 'proper furnishings' and not sofas with throws! We loved all the 'Maisons du Monde' additions and the kitchen is great to cook in. Wonderful attention to detail, so that you really feel 'at home'. The terrace is fabulous; we loved sitting out there first thing in the morning. Thanks also for all the recommendations for the specialist wine tours - our wine trip was first rate. Your hospitality and company was excellent and we loved the trip to see 'Le Jardin Champetre' nursery - thank you. Also, the pool is so clear and wonderful to swim in.

It's been such a privilege to stay in your beautiful home. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to enjoy it. We enjoyed experiencing the art, the atmosphere, the views and the comfort. We really appreciated your very generous gift of wine and provisions. The village is lively and we have made good use of all it has to offer. terrific choice of the alimentation, delightful terrace and delicious food at the Bar de Prores and a timely haivent at Tiffany's Satin. We recommend a trip to Uzes, Nîmes and Avignon and had a delicious lunch on the banks of the Gardon at Colias on the way to the Pont du Gard. Also, do try the real wine from La Grappe d'Or in the village.
Fantastic holiday in this fantastic mini-château. Having recently arrrived from California and staying with our French in-laws, it was a truly amazing holiday. Lots of eating, drinking, swimming, tourism and of course table-tennis. A bientôt.
