We have been lucky enough to stay at Château Trieux a number of times and what a truly magical place it is! From the moment you approach the house, through fields of sunflowers, you feel transported into your dream holiday. Whatever your thing is - be it relaxing by the pool, playing tennis or just sitting by the river under the shade of the trees contemplating life - Château Trieux has it all. A visit to the market at Monflanquin is a must or enjoy a relaxing kayak along the river. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. We will be back!
We have all had an absolutely beautiful week here at Le Chanlie. A truly special house in a magical setting. We will be back ! The pool area was such fun for us all and the bedrooms so relaxing.
Our family of 4 spend a perfect week in the lovely and nicely renovated gîte. House is spacious and well equipped. The outdoor area did not leave much to ask for with shady terrace, grill, a big green garden with a nicely furnished pavilion and not least the large and clean pool. Jean and Martin were there when needed, very helpful and made you feel at home. The small village Lauzun great for evening walks. This gîte can be recommended.
What a privilege to spend a week in this beautiful environment. The facilities have been fantastic, we’ve enjoyed being active or lazy. It is a lovely area, views in the day - perfect, skies full of stars at night. Thank you for a perfect holiday.
Where do I start?! Truly one of the most amazing places we’ve ever stayed. The property sits in a stunning location with beautiful mountain views yet is just a short drive from Limoux which offers everything you might need. It’s also a very easy and short drive to Carcassonne with all of its shops and attractions (and international airport). Close to beautiful Mediterranean coastline, the rugged Montagne Noir and the wonderful Pyrenees, there are too many amazing sights to list (or to see in one holiday)... if you can drag yourself away from Domaine de Nérige that is. The property itself is far beyond adequate description in words or photographs. It is utterly magical. Every aspect of the house itself and the experience it offers has been carefully and lovingly thought through by the hosts and the result is exceptional. It’s certainly not easy to achieve both elegance and comfort but they have, masterfully. As well as being entirely beautiful, the accommodation is impressively spacious- we stayed as two families over five of the bedrooms, but had we filled all bedrooms it would have felt no less spacious because of its clever and generous arrangement. It’s perfectly appointed, with an incredible kitchen with every gadget and utensil you could possibly want, an outdoor dining area with gas bbq and hot plate, luxurious towels and linen (including towels for the pool), music player, DVDs, outdoor games (table tennis, swing ball, table football, pétanque), pool table room and then there’s the swimming pool! An immaculately kept pool terrace with sun loungers, wooden pergola and even an outdoor shower. The swimming pool was fabulous for adults and children alike, being large enough for swimming lengths but also with a shallow end for the children. Kept as meticulously as the rest of the property, the pool is cleaned every morning. The hosts could not have been more helpful and welcoming from beginning to end. Due to travel disruptions we had to change the dates of our stay several times and the hosts were so accommodating and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Before we arrived Sandie had even arranged to do a grocery shop for us! She was also kind enough to arrange for a therapist to come to the house during our stay so we could have a much needed massage! I think it’s indicative of just how special this place is that everyone in our party fell entirely in love with it, children and adults alike. We can’t wait to go back.

Thank you ever so much for such a wonderful stay at Camirout. We have all had a fabulous time, enjoying the fine weather, exploring the local area, sampling the delights of the local restaurants and village ‘feasts’/night markets; participating in medieval festivals (a particular favourite!); and most of all – relaxing by the pool. It has been such a special and enjoyable fortnight. Thank you for your kindness and warm hospitality. We will have fond memories of our special holiday here.
Everybody in the group is very happy over the stay. We have enjoyed the pool and the shade on the huge terrace, especially these hot days. We very much agree that you have a fantastic home. We would love to come back another year.
What an amazing holiday! Le Pigat was beautiful and very well equipped with extra little touches. This all made our visit special. The bread delivery was an absolute delight. Many special memories made by the pool and we found the cave! Also visits to Bergerac, Périgueux, Monbazillac, Mouleydier, Issigeac, Sarlat-la-Canéda, Domme, Château de Bridoire, Saint-Émilion and Brantôme. Not forgetting Eymet and Trémolat. All beautiful places and worth a visit. Many special restaurants too. Some rustic, some very gourmet. We will miss being here in the warmth, by the pool and in wonderful surroundings. Many thanks.
We have had such a wonderful week here in this amazing château. Such a wonderful setting and it is so well equipped. The kids LOVE the huge pool especially the diving board. We would love to come back and stay here again. Thank you.

A charming house We spent a week there at the beginning of July 2020 with the family and we were charmed by this superb place and its surroundings. The house is very comfortable, very spacious, with all the desired facilities. The living rooms as well as the bedrooms are very pleasant. The outdoor facilities too. The owners are available and very welcoming. Le Borghesia is extremely well located, near a pebble river beach and also close to many interesting excursions of all kinds. We highly recommend this place where we spent a wonderful vacation.
The house is magnificent and very well equipped, for the kitchen or for activities, everything is planned for a good stay. The welcome is warm with very friendly neighbors. I highly recommend the Château des Grillauds for a peaceful stay in the Dordogne. We had a pleasant stay and the house is very well equipped. There is everything you need to have a great vacation with family or friends. We were able to have lunch outside to enjoy the garden and the swimming pool. Wonderful holiday in this beautiful and stylish home! The house has been refurbished to a very high specification and the bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are luxuriously contemporary. The kitchen is impressively well equipped. There is so much to do in the area which is steeped in history and blessed with natural beauty. The Roman ruins at Vaison are a must- see. We were amazed to find the largest archaeological site in France just down the road and the medieval town, on the other side of the river, with its winding streets, is charming. We found it hard to tear ourselves away from the stunning views and the peace and tranquility of the gardens and pool but outings to the hilltop villages of Seguret and Venasque and a wine tasting in Gigondas or Châteauneuf du Pape are experiences not to be missed!
Lovely old place restored by Frederic. We were lucky enough to be there for the festival in Sauve which was great! Far too hot to go hiking in the hills but managed trips to Uzes ( beautiful) and of course the Haribo museum for the kids. Pool cover needs 2 people and doesn’t come all the way back but it’s for safety. Kitchen well equipped for a large group. Really enjoyed our stay!
Our 2nd visit to Mas de Lozanne and it certainly didn't disappoint. The extreme heat curtailed some outings, but the pool area was a haven! We still managed daily coffees in Café d'Art and a couple of early evening drinks. We made good use of the barbecue. Pezanas keeps on giving and this house, nestled in the vines, is a delight! This has been a most restful and restoring holiday after the misery of Covid etc. We have to thank Alan and Madeline for great kindness and for literally going the extra mile when we couldn't find our way home. We've enjoyed local restaurants: try Aubord de la Source, St Livrade for a special treat, Les Rives du Plantie. We went north to Cancon market (Monday mornings). There's a village called St. Pastour on the way where a young couple have a very good restaurant (week day lunch and some evenings) called Le Relais Bastide. Thank you again Madeline and Alan. Almost forgot to say don't miss the lilies and lunch at Latour-Marliac. Monet bought his waterlilies here, having seen them at the great Paris Exhibition.

Where do we start..? You have created something truly magnificent with The Loft, which not only met our expectations, but exceeded them beyond belief. We are endlessly grateful to you for giving us this much-needed week in paradise. You certainly have thought of everything, making our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. Your hospitality was second to none, matched only by your exquisite style and attention to detail, clearly visible throughout every inch of The Loft. We cannot wait to return.
Our week at Maison Charvin from Arlo, the family dog. My family thinks that Maison Charvin is simply beautiful: opulently furnished, exquisitely decorated. More of a château than a maison. That said, my mummy says it’s not pretentious but cosy and homely, much appreciated on the unusually slightly chilly and windy days for part of our stay. The pool has provided instant relief for my family when the weather has been hot and sunny. My human brothers’ favourite space is the very relaxing courtyard where my mummy and I have dozed off on numerous occasions! My daddy has very much enjoyed reading many books from the vast collection. The house is deceptively large, providing ample chilling space for everyone, including me after a hot day in the sun. We enjoyed visiting Trebes (on the Canal), Carcassonne, Lagrasse and the dog-friendly beach in Narbonne. My family enjoyed the pizza which they ordered from the pizza van by the church on Thursday late afternoon. They also had baguettes and pastries (ordered in advance) from Aurelien at Vins de Dagne.
Very beautiful villa, tastefully renovated. We spent 3 very pleasant days there as a family. The big plus is having a shower room and WC for each bedroom. Ideal location to relax and walk along the Canal du Midi. We will gladly come back.

Our family has had such a wonderful time in this little oasis. The only difficult part of our stay has been forcing ourselves to leave the sanctuary of the house! A very nice find this tower at the World's End... A breathtaking view, hours spent looking at the horizon and the passing ships. We will remember this wonderful week for a long time! Thank you for giving a magic second life to this place.
I liked everything; the location chosen for professional reasons quickly became a second home thanks to the owners, who were very friendly and available, always attentive to our needs and extremely professional. The house is splendid, every detail is carefully arranged.
We have spent a hot and relaxing week at your lovely villa, it is extremely comfortable and the children have loved playing in the pool each day.
We spent a week here with extended family and loved it. The house was beautifully decorated and well kitted out. The kids particularly loved the pool which was secure so the adults could relax knowing the kids couldn’t get into it alone. Bedrooms all very spacious and comfortable. The location is great too. Monsegur is a lovely little town with a couple of great boulangeries and really good restaurants and nightlife.
We can't wait to return. Russell and Karen are perfect hosts and the Loft is amazing. We can't imagine how your next project will look, we shall have to come back and see for ourselves. Languedoc, Occitanie is so beautiful and we have only scratched the surface. The Loft is the perfect place to stay and venture out from, returning to its calm and tranquil environment - just perfect. One week was certainly not enough and we both hope very much to return soon and we wish you all the best.
