Epic! Manoir Gascon is epic! Beautiful house and situation with magnificent pool. Thanks for sharing it with us.
We never tire of the beautiful views from the terrace. A scorching hot week and the pool was much appreciated - especially by the grandchildren! Thank you for the generous welcome pack, this house feels like home!
Thank you for letting us stay in this beautiful houser. We were in need of some rest and quiet and this house was perfect for it. We enjoyed the beautiful nature, the lovely places nearby and the refreshing pool/ The house is very well equipped and has a the most amazing view! If we have the chance in the future, we'd love to return.
What a gorgeous week we've had here ! Annie and John have been so welcoming - inviting us for a much-needed glass of wine on our arrival. Not to mention all the helpgul local knowledge and information. We have loved the pool, sunshine and glorious garden. We would recommend the lovely Piglet Barn and Annie and John especially. Thank you for our memorable time here.
We chose this for our 30th wedding anniversary celebration, we had a party of 11 people ranging from 1 to 60, on arrival we were amazed at the stunning approach to the property which can be seen from the village on the hill, the house is amazing, younger members loved the snug, the grand salon was impressive and we enjoyed many an evening with everyone playing cards, games etc. The children especially enjoyed the table tennis. The pool is awesome and even in late May to early June was very warm. The bedrooms were huge and each one unique. We would have no hesitation in recommending this as an ideal family holiday.
We had a great time at Villa Lavinière. Both the house and its views were amazing. The hills around the house were lovely to explore and we really enjoyed the facilities at the house itself (pool and pétanque). Parc du Haut-Languedoc, Minerve, Saint-Pons-de-Thomières, the Montagne Noire and Carcassonne were all highly recommended. We were also lucky enough to see the Tour de France passing by.
What a truly special and magical place. We had a wonderful family holiday here. Noyers is beautiful with a lot of activities in the area for the children to enjoy. Tree climbing and zip wires, aquapark adventures, kayaking on the river, walks in castle ruins and then home to stay in an actual castle!! We have enjoyed wonderful food in the castle hosted by the Castle’s maitre de, which was a very special event to celebrate a wedding anniversary. After a day of adventures we have all enjoyed cooling off in the pool or a game of boules. A truly restorative break.
A ‘home from home’. The house quickly felt like a ‘home from home’ – especially to escape the heat! Bonnes Vacances to all who follow us to this lovely house!!
Truly the most magical and enchanting holiday home we’ve ever stayed in. The views are heavenly and the design and architectural features of the house are so wonderful and unique it’s like being in an Aladdin’s Cave. The house is so open, full of light and air and so many charming seating areas inside and out leaves you feeling positively joyous. Thank You!
Wonderful house, pool and garden. The weather was perfect and we really have enjoyed our stay.
Just wonderful. We were delighted to find the property, delivered on everything promised. The restoration has been done well, with quality workmanship and many stylish features. The salon is an amazing room with ample space for even the largest party... The house was spotlessly clean on arrival and the owner even emailed to check that all was well. There are plenty of places to visit locally and we especially enjoyed the river walk. A second week would have been even better!
Another restful holiday in this little haven. Visited some lovely villages and ate wonderful food. The weather was kind - most days over 28° (and England had rain!) Warm memories to survive the British winter! Thank you again.
Just WOW! An experience that we will never forget! Thank you so much for such a very memorable week at this divine castle. It was just incredible. Our memories of the pool sessions, cooking French cuisine in your gorgeous fully-equipped kitchen, exploring the beautiful grounds and area of Chateau Bourgogne will last a LIFETIME. This castle is so pretty, unique, comfortable and so accommodating and close enough to so many other amazing towns. We will be back! Merci!
What an absolute joy to spend in such a wonderful house. We have had such a lovely fortnight and will miss the view and the birdsong each morning, but hope to see it all again one day’.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Sauveterre-la-Lémance and cannot recommend this villa highly enough. Our group consisted of eight people across three generations, and the villa catered perfectly for everyone. There was plenty of space to spend quality time together while also allowing each family member to enjoy their own space when they wanted to relax. It really was the ideal setting for a multi-generational family holiday. Our hosts were exceptional. They were incredibly warm, welcoming, and accommodating from the moment we arrived, always happy to offer help, local recommendations, or advice whenever we needed it. Their hospitality genuinely made us feel at home and added to what was already a fantastic experience. We were fortunate to have fantastic weather throughout our stay, allowing us to make full use of the excellent facilities. The villa exceeded our expectations and was exactly as shown in the Oliver's Travels photographs. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday.
This has been the most perfect place to be for the whole R-Pand G families. Thank you so much for your help and inspiration.
Château La Roche-Posay is a very special place. The gite is super comfy and well appointed, with fantastic views over the river Creuse. Definitely worthy of its five star rating. Laura and Ian are highly professional, experienced chateau hosts who know how to look after their guests.
Belle Vue is Wonderful! Impressive and yet cosy, comfortable house that enjoys the most spectacular views of the Dordogne Valley. We have stayed at Belle Vue a number of times and still long to return to soak up its magical, unique atmosphere. I have been to Belle Vue with my parents and in laws, in their 70’s, who still can’t get enough of the place! They adore the local cuisine, markets, activities and are totally at home within the house, be it during a hot summer or a chilly September visit. Belle Vue’s air conditioning is as efficient as its heating! Both excellent and ensure you are able to relax. Last October half term I returned there with my two boys aged 4 and 7. They had never experienced anything as awesome as the local medieval castles, all of which are extremely educational, exciting and both adult and child friendly. We enjoyed a jam packed week with at least two excursions a day from castle tours to canoeing. We were all extremely grateful to arrive back to beautiful property each afternoon for a dip in the fantastic pool whilst we got our BBQ underway on the gargantuan terrace suspended above the valley and sometimes above the magical mist. The local shops (5 mins drive) allowed us gastronomic breakfast pastry feasts from the boulangerie and the butcher bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. Essentially for us, Belle Vue is private, not overlooked and it is fully equipped with everything we needed, and more! We all particularly enjoyed the fantastic sound system when watching movies on the big screen in the living area and the bedroom window shutters that keep the rooms dark enough to induce the deepest sleep I have ever experienced. Heavenly!
We had a fantastic holiday at your beautiful home. Thanks so much. Awesome comms too. We would love to come back some time…. Second that - a really lovely home. The kids had a ball and it’s a pretty sophisticated corner of the world for the adults! Just need Les Yvelines to open near us !! Yes ditto to all the above. We all had a fantastic time and already looking forward to coming back sometime.
We very much enjoyed our visit to this area with its wonderful beaches and gorgeous scenery. Your warm welcome on our arrival helped us to settle in to this beautiful villa and it is obvious you have spend many years in furnishing it. A home of which to be justly proud.
The property was everything we were hoping for and more. It's simple yet beautifully done out inside. The outdoor areas are great, particularly the pool. It's so well designed for a family holiday. The local village is so cute and the hotel restaurant great too. And obviously the local wine was delicious too! Couldn't have asked for more.
This was not our first visit to La Barde and yet again we have enjoyed a wonderful family holiday. The house has such character whilst being both spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well resourced and the sitting areas both inside and outside comfortably sit 10 people. The garden is beautiful and filled with an array of varied and colourful plants and shrubs whilst the pool is large and cleaned regularly by the owner. Yet again we enjoyed some lovely days out to Saint-Émilion, Brantôme and Cognac to name a few - and of course some pleasant evening drinks in Verteillac. Thank you - we have treasured memories of a fantastic holiday!
Thank you so much for a beautiful week in your house. We have indeed appreciated the way you have welcomed our family here on your wonderful spot. We hope to visit again and will most certainly recommend your château to family and friends. Best wishes.
We had the best time. A beautiful villa and pool with access to a good range of restaurants/pubs. Thank you so much for your generous deliveries of breakfast. Super meal at Restaurant 781. We spent most of the holiday relaxing by the pool. Had a couple of visits to the locks (Canal du Midi). Very beautiful and the bus into Béziers was fun. Our two-year-old grandson wanted to stay in our holiday house and told me he didn't want to go back to Orpington! I'd quite like to stay here too.
Le Petit Palais is a beautiful place to stay, in a very peaceful area. It had everything we needed and was perfect for a relaxing family holiday.
We spent a truly magical and wonderfully memorably week at Maison Tilleul last summer. It was everything we dreamed of. Stunning grounds, modern facilities, beautiful décor and every amenity you could need. The village is peaceful and picturesque. The countryside was quintessentially French. The historic and geographical wonders that provide endless options for afternoon drives or day trips, were all worth every minute driving through the vineyards and mountain passes that the region offers in abundance. There are wonderful restaurants and bars within walking distance and short drives. We had a spectacular evening watching the sun set with a cocktail at Côté Resto set amongst the vines of Domaine Gayda, followed by exquisite cuisine and a buoyant atmosphere. We sampled traditional Blanquette at the atmospheric Abbaye Saint-Hilaire. Explored the impressive Gorges de Saint-Georges and mountain villages. The Cathar castles and ancient city of Minerve, were stunning and like nothing I’ve seen before, both in scale and the history associated with them. I have visited the Languedoc for years, but Le Parc made it a year like no other. Thank you for the privilege – memories have been made and will be treasured.
