Very beautiful villa, tastefully renovated. We spent 3 very pleasant days there as a family. The big plus is having a shower room and WC for each bedroom. Ideal location to relax and walk along the Canal du Midi. We will gladly come back.
The Loire! What an overwhelming heritage. Châteaux, abbeys, caves - and Michel's house is central to all of it. Bourgueil is a charming town with delicious foods and outstanding wines. Every night we enjoyed the pool. Thank you Michel for an exceptional week.

We absolutely loved this house for our week-long stay for a friend's wedding - the house itself is gorgeous - really stylish with luxury fittings and furnishing, ample kitchen crockery etc and even well-stocked to use the BBQ and have food and drinks outside. The pool and view are just magnificent and there is a lovely restaurant just two steps away, as well as more bars and restaurants in nearby towns... just a perfect place for a relaxing south of France stay! We would love to return!
We as a family enjoyed our stay in Mas des Rivailles. The house is great, lots of space in the house and even more in the great pool area with different places to sit, either in the sun or in the shade. The house was very clean and after a long drive, we were welcomed with some food and drinks for the first night.
We had a wonderful time and are seriously thinking of same house for next year.
We were not too familiar with the region, but since we live in a highly fast-paced city, we knew we wanted a tranquil and somewhat less-touristy vacation spot surrounded by nature. Through an amazing agency, we were able to lease the cottage for two weeks in late August and had an amazing time there. The property dates back to 1750 and is fully well-renovated - every detail has been taken into consideration so one is able to enjoy the experience of staying in an authentic French country house, but with modern amenities that enhance the original character of the property, rather than detract from it. The town and the people are very charming and there are restaurants, cafés, a grocery store, shops, butcher shops, etc. and an excellent choice of patisseries and boulangeries, which my husband happily frequented every morning in order to bring back fresh breakfast goodies! There is a weekly market in the town square, just a 5-minute drive from the house selling amazing produce and other artisanal delights! The town is within a comfortable drive from beautiful sites in neighboring Beynac, Sarlat and Bergerac, not counting other small picturesque places you find on the way. And if you haven't done much research, fret not because the owners of the home have compiled quite an impressive binder of information with all of the popular attractions and must-see places in the area. I do not over-exaggerate when I say the house is extremely well-equipped as if it were our own home! When we were not out sightseeing during the morning, we were downstairs preparing food in the kitchen, which may seem small in the photos, but it is spacious and the layout is wonderful - the oven and stove are ideal for seasoned cooks, there is a full-size dishwasher and tons of pots, pans, utensils, gadgets and appliances - all in superb condition, so we wanted for nothing. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Maison Bourg Cales, which I would highly recommend to anyone in search of an idyllic, quiet getaway in the beautiful French countryside.

The Loft is wonderful. Beautiful, elegant and peaceful yet still homely - albeit better furnished than our home. We loved our stay and the fortnight flew by. The gorgeous gardens and pool made for a tranquil holiday and a haven after days out in this lovely area. The extra touches of your welcome pack, first breakfast croissants and drinks in the garden were the icing on a very beautiful cake. Thank you. We look forward to hearing of the success of the main house.
Everything was amazing at La Bastide 1718. We had to travel to the area for work, which was made especially difficult during the pandemic and lockdown. However, the villa and host, Thomas, made our trip as enjoyable as it could be within the circumstances. Thomas the host was always on hand for anything! Very professional, kind and thoughtful. Honestly one of the best hosts I have ever had! The villa is incredible. Each bedroom is up to a hotel standard; from the bedding, aircon and heating, TVs, bathrooms and styling. The kitchen and facilities are very well maintained and equipped, with anything you could possibly need! We spent every evening in the dining and living room with the fire burning, which was a great setting for the team to relax. There are so many facilities and things to do in the Villa, you would never get bored during your stay! The location is stunning and well worth the long driveway to get such seclusion and stunning views. There were lots of thoughtful touches throughout the villa which I don't want to give away. Each of them made our stay even more relaxing and memorable. Thank you again to Thomas and the team behind La Bastide!
What a gorgeous place! You have made a beautiful job of the Loft du Vigneron. It is homely, classy and welcoming, and you have thought of everything! We felt thoroughly pampered and loved every minute of our stay. The Loft will remain as my screensaver for quite some time to come… Can't wait to see the pics of the house. A delightful week spent in a beautiful corner of France. We are at least 20Kg heavier! (Shared between four people, in our defence). Extremely comfortable and tasteful accommodation - thank you for the warm welcome.
Firstly I'd like to say that we were very lucky to stay in such a beautiful villa, it was really charming ! The house manager Natalie was so kind too in helping us. She was very thoughtful and helpful. The owner was very helpful too when I needed to contact him regarding something Natalie passed on his number to me and said it was fine). They are a lovely family and again we were very lucky to have found the villa with Pure France!
What a total haven from the pressures of normal life. Hope to be back next year!
Very beautiful area and great accommodation. The accommodation was as described in the advert and met my expectations.
Prior to arriving, dealing with Pete was easy and this continued with both him and Kate throughout our stay. We’d been in Avignon for week before where it was very hot, this continued in Curzon but the house was lovely and cool throughout. We all had no trouble sleeping which meant we weren’t able to take advantage of the pool for the first morning as we all slept in. When we did get out there, it was wonderful. As a family of 4 we were able to relax and have fun round the pool all day every day if we wanted, including cooking lunch and dinner on the gas BBQ in the outside kitchen which we made full use of. Facilities in the house were great and we relaxed quickly, taking advantage of the welcome package of goodies. We explored the surrounding villages and towns which were in easy reach and a 10 minute drive for bread each morning or a full shop meant we could simply pop out and get something for dinner/breakfast. They really looked after us and each morning we woke to a clean pool and surroundings, including towels waiting for us. We felt truly spoilt during our stay and could have easily booked 3 weeks or more and I imagine Pete and Kate will be managing full summers for a while to come. Thank you Pete and Kate for a memorable stay!

We particularly the swimming pool to cool down. We really enjoyed the surrounding scenery in which we star gazed in every evening. We really liked the films and games upstairs in the evening. We had an absolutely delightful holiday in Argeliers and all six of us (four adults and two children) loved the house and hated to leave. We did the usual visits for first-timers in the region: Carcassonne, Narbonne, Gruissan, the Abbaye de Fontfroide, various villages along the Canal du Midi, etc. We had a ball and were always looking forward to return to the Maison Tigre at the end of the day. The pool was a high-light, so much so that it was sometimes difficult to get the children out to visit (and the adults also). The house was also a delight, with such a great design that we immediately felt at home. Thank you also to Alan and Cathy for their warm welcome and very useful explanations. All six of us have very good memories of our (alas short) stay at Maison Tigre and we still remind each other often of our summer holiday. I would like to congratulate you again for the wonderful job you have done with the restoration of Maison Tigre, with the design and with the equipment provided, which was just right for us (I may be repeating myself here, but it really is a wonderful home, so another round of applause is not excessive!)

Thank-you, Jean and Martin, for a fabulous two week stay in your lovely gîte. We had everything we needed to make it a very special relaxing holiday. The outdoor BBQ area has been put to great use! We have enjoyed many evenings outside drinking and eating. It was great having your input for ideas and suggestions for things to do and places to visit. The pool is perfect and we have enjoyed using the lovely gazebo area. The garden is a beautiful retreat in which to fully unwind and enjoy the abundant birdlife, especially first thing in the morning. We have really enjoyed watching the wood pecker, especially gathering food for the offspring! Lauzun provided the perfect location to start our many heavenly bike rides and to explore the fascinating bastide towns of Issigeac, Villereal and Eymet. We also visited the prehistoric cave-Grotte de Font Gaume and highly recommend, (pre-book tickets online). We look forward to coming back soon and seeing you again.
We have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing and peaceful holiday at Maison Montjoi in south-west France. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, and they made sure everything met our needs throughout our stay. The charming cottage was tastefully furnished in a French country-chic style and had everything we, as a retired couple, needed. The spacious garden had comfortable seating and dining options as well as a luxurious, well-maintained pool to cool off in after a hot day sight-seeing. The surrounding countryside is very picturesque with gently, undulating wooded hills and arable rich valleys. Rivers, lakes and canals also criss-cross the region providing many options for cycling and walking. Dotted around are medieval bastide towns and villages which are well worth exploring: Puymirol, Lauzerte and Moissac. Our hosts tipped us off with excellent recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to dine at. Our favourite restaurant was La Cage aux Oiseaux in the beautiful small hamlet of Mountjoi, minutes from the cottage. We also enjoyed the traditional Tuesday market in Valence d’Agen and the jazz night at the friendly café in Castelsagrat.
We've had a wonderful week, enjoyed by all. We thought the tapas evening with Emma was great fun and well worth it, she's very knowledgable. We ended the week with lunch at Domaine Gayda, a great recommendation. We were sad to leave such a lovely home which exceeded our expectations and I would love to think that one day we could return. Fabulous Villa and location We've been coming to the south of France for year and specifically to this area and to Seillans for the last 5 years... and this villa is as good as we have ever stayed. The villa is impeccably kept, extremely comfortable and has the most magnificent views. Everything in the villa is as advertised and works well. The restaurants of Seillans are a short walk away. Although the town itself unfortunately has no boulangerie or patisserie, Fayence is only a 5 minute drive away and has a great one of those, plus a boucherie / charcuterie around the corner, both of which are close to the big Super U supermarket. The terrace and pool are East-facing. We were worried that in the photos it looked like there was little shade provided but with the big awnings for the terrace and a few parasols for the pool, finding shade from the morning sun was not a problem. We love this area for the beautiful mountain villages (seillans, Callian, Tourrettes etc) but the ease of getting around in the largely flat area south of those villages so you can get to Cannes, Grasse and the beaches.
