We loved the setting, location and character of this beautiful house which we feel could tell many interesting stories (... if only walls could speak!). Our boys loved the pool and made great friends with the friendly tortoise. R. favours the name 'Toby' and B. likes 'Edouard'. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch for my birthday at Bistro Maritime and looking forward to dinner at Bistro Pharell for our last evening. Great days out exploring St-Émilion-Libourne. A great trip by train (so easy) to Bordeaux. The bassin de lumière is amazing if you have a wet day. We also loved watching the Mascaret from the house - so glad we were here on the 'right' day.
Had an amazing holiday. The villa could not have been better. Had everything we needed including free Wi-Fi and access to English TV. The pool was great and heated so we could go in it all the time. The area was lovely. Food was brilliant and overall we have a really lovely holiday and would definitely come back to the villa.
It was a perfect house for our summer holiday. Beautiful village where it is located. We were really happy about it and recommend it! From there it is easy to go to Narbonne, Carcassonne or other beautiful places along the Canal du Midi. Thank you!
Unforgettable moments in the chalet. We came for a weekend with friends and each of us is unanimous: the quality of the accommodation, the care given to every detail and the kindness and responsiveness of our host convinced us all. The chalet was completely renovated by the host is a rare pearl as is the owner. We have created unforgettable memories and hope to be able to return as soon as possible. Thanks for everything.
This is a fabulous property and the hosts were just wonderful. I shall certainly be letting our friends and colleagues know of this magic place. We had a wonderful time, our hosts were very welcoming and we enjoyed their company.
As you know we have stayed in your house twice. It really is an exceptional property and in terms of facilities, location and aesthetic qualities we could not fault it. The views are fantastic, the pool is perfect and the house itself brimming with character – not to mention that every lamp works, as do the showers and all utensils.
Beautiful villa, fabulous pool! We loved our stay in Maison de Saint-Jean. The villa is big, beautiful and cool (the weather was HOT!) and extremely well equipped. The beds, in particular, are super-comfy and we really appreciated the extra touches, like piles of big lizard-patterned pool towels (in addition to soft white bath towels for everyone), gorgeous soaps in the bathrooms and a huge range of kitchen equipment (including sharp knives - hurrah! - and a coffee machine). The pool is a good size (long enough to swim 'proper' lengths) and it was lovely to take a dip in soft, salt water, rather than the usual strong-smelling chlorine. Our teens loved the ping-pong table (and we loved that it was in the courtyard, out of earshot!), the massive bean bag, the great Wi-Fi connection and (face of shame) the BBC channels on the TV. The village restaurant (literally 15 paces away) is great - really friendly, nice food - and there a lots of other good places to eat in the towns nearby (once you've worked out which ones are closed on which days - every one is different!). Thoroughly recommend this villa - we honestly can't think of a single thing it's missing - and the truly beautiful French landscape all around it.

Cottage du Jardin is a lovely place to stay in a beautiful area. It is newly refurbished and has a very classic country feel inside. Gorgeous furnishings and all the facilities that you need for a self-catering stay. The bathrooms are great. The mattresses are firm but the bedrooms are comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need, we never felt the need for anything that wasn't to hand. The hosts are very welcoming and have the right balance of checking in and leaving you to it (they live next door). They were able to tell us about local restaurants and must-visit places which was really handy. The pool is very nice, clean and very large for the size of the property. The village is lovely and Montignac is only a few minutes by car, this is a good-sized town with banks and a supermarket. Would recommend!
So much love and thought has gone in to creating the Loft! It shows in every detail, but most importantly, in the ambiance it radiates throughout. You made us feel so very welcome, both before and after our arrival. Your kindness and generosity have meant a great deal to us, and the ‘wine time’ we had with you has been great fun too! We so admire what you have achieved with the Loft and wish you every success with the renovations of the maison de maitre - can’t wait to see the finished article. Beautiful Home with Large Gardens and Heated Pool. A very special place. The house is spacious and the layout gives plenty of areas to relax. The garden and pool is beautiful. With woodland views, there are lots of seating areas and loungers, a hammock and games to play in the huge grassy area. And the pool is perfect. Sam is a super host, happy to help and is kind and fun. If you love yoga, then there is the chance to have a session with Sam in her beautiful yoga studio. We had the best time. Thank you!
I just wanted to say what a great time we had on our recent visit to Maison Des Communes, Philippe and Federica were wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome. The house in a tranquil location was perfect for a very relaxing get away from it all.

Fantastic place. Peace and tranquillity and magnificent view from the balcony. Proximity to a private beach. Perfectly equipped kitchen, large living room. I highly recommend it to everyone. An absolutely amazing stay – we will return! We had the most wonderful 6-day stay at Petite Maison de Campagne. Set in a peaceful, tranquil location, we woke up each morning to the sights and sounds of cows from the neighbouring farm grazing in the fields – such a lovely view to enjoy while having coffee and breakfast. The pool and sun loungers were exactly what we needed for the hot French summer, and our son loved relaxing in the hammock under the trees. The property itself has been beautifully restored, with everything you could possibly want or need – including Wi-Fi (essential when travelling with two teens!). Our host was fantastic from start to finish. Communication was clear and friendly from the moment we booked, with all the information we needed to find the property and settle in. She even recommended some brilliant places to visit. I had one query during our stay, which she answered promptly and helpfully. The surrounding area offers so much to see and do – we only managed a fraction of it, so we’ll definitely have to come back to explore more. I highly recommend La Maison Nid to anyone looking for a relaxing yet well-equipped place to stay in this beautiful part of France. We loved it and can’t wait to return.
Thank you for another wonderful stay here at Camirout, our vacation did not start out as we had planned due to the air line company, but we are so thankful that you did the shopping for us. Being so late as we were with the Bastile Day next day you really helped us a lot. Thank you. Except for our traditional trip to Bordeaux we haven’t done much this year except from relaxing at Camirout which is so easy with the beautiful areas you have made. Both of you do such a wonderful job here and we really appreciate all of it. All of us will hopefully be back next year without any delays or cancellations. Once again thank you so much.

This beautiful villa in the middle of the vineyards had every comfort imaginable. The heated pool was a dream. We would also like to mention the exceptional cleanliness. The hosts do everything to ensure that you feel comfortable and can enjoy a pleasant holiday.
The house is stunning and the pictures on line do not do it justice, we will be sorry to leave at the end of our stay.

We have stayed in some lovely properties in France, but this has to be the very best. We appreciated everything you both so generously provided to make our stay so very comfortable. Right from the moment we arrived we felt welcome. We enjoyed our visits to Carcassonne, Narbonne and Minerve, and our boat trip on the Canal du Midi from Capestang and our trip to the Abbeye de Fontfroide. We had a superb meal in Restaurant d'Alibert in Caunes Minervois. Thank you so much for everything. We have had such a lovely fortnight and will miss this haven of beauty, peace and comfort for quite sometime. We hope to visit again - it sure is tough to leave here.
We liked it so much last year we came back to enjoy being at this most beautiful place – a little piece of paradise. It’s been very hot but the house is cool (and so comfortable) and the pool and the dining terrace make it perfect. Thanks to Mark and Janet for making it so lovely. We’ll be sad to leave.
We had a fantastic week in Sarlat and around. The perfect base for a family holiday. We loved the gardens as Eyrignac and Marqueyssac in particular but there was so much to do and see here The Bistro De L’Octroi across the road is fantastic. Thanks Jackie and Geoff.
