We have travelled all our lives and recently decided to change our style. Instead of hiking or always-on-the-move vacations, we thought we would try renting a home to use a base. We couldn't be happier with our decision, but much of the credit belongs to this wonderful villa and Philippe, truly a host extraordinaire. Our only fear is that the bar has been set so high now that future rentals will suffer in comparison. Maureilhan, although not much in itself, is perfectly located for trips in the area, whether to Sète, Béziers, Roquebrun, Sérignan or Montpellier. One final note: although we rented the villa for ourselves, we had three sets of friends drop by for a few days each. With its separate quarters, the villa is perfect for two or three couples. The dinners provided by Philippe at Pour Pas were highlights. So thank you, Philippe. We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more.
Five star accommodation Five star hosts Two weeks of mixed weather, but we read, swam, ate, drank and walked - into the village for some lovely lunches Courtesy of Reme and co. We were made to feel like part of the community. The local Butcher (Thierry - Sunday and Thursday am), a must, in fact we were his first customers on one Thursday (pate Basque very good) Only ventured out once, except for hyper market shopping for a bit of Cahors tasting at Domaine du Garinet. Will be back as fast as possible.

The house was the perfect setting for our party of 8. The bedrooms were all a good size and with 3 bathrooms and great air conditioning they were perfect. The indoor kitchen and dining area are huge and are the best equipped we have ever had. The outside areas are just outstanding. We used the bbq a couple of times and ate outside every evening. The table tennis was fab and we developed a great love for darts! The pool is to die for. In terms of the area, Collins bar is a 5/10 minute drive away and is open from 5pm for drinks on a hilltop. We had a meal and wine tasting at Logeril (Pennautier) which we loved. There are plenty of pizzerias a short drive away. Clearly a car or two are required

What a wonderful stay we had at Camirout! You only truly feel the atmosphere of a place when you’re there, and Camirout absolutely has a unique charm. The care and love put into the garden are noticeable, it was a delight to be surrounded by all that greenery! We enjoyed lovely walks, explored castles, and of course had a blast in the pool. Thank you Madeline and Alan we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will cherish these beautiful memories forever!
Thank you so much for a wonderfully relaxing stay at your ‘Loft’. We have stayed here many times before under previous ownership, but we must say that you have moved it up several notches! The attention to detail is second to none; from the luxurious ‘The White Company’ products to all the goodies in the fridge and cupboards - very much appreciated. The terrace, garden and pool are just so peaceful that we haven’t ventured far! Most of all thank you for being there and for your wonderful company. We hope there will be many more visits to come. Had a great fortnight in Les Sphynx de Pézenas. Everything you want really. Recommend Chez Paul, Les Entre Pots and Ou es tu Ginger (veggie food) in the local area to eat. Marina Bay at Marseillan Plage - great food and lovely views. All in all a great location and house.
Thank you so much for having us and being such wonderful hosts. We've all had such a brilliant time and it really has felt like a home from home. Kit (5 years old) is really going to miss his daily swim, it's been so nice to see his confidence grow. I'm sure we'll be back !
If you are looking for calm in a peaceful environment, Le Mas de Combet is for that! it is very well equipped, nothing missing! a huge and well maintained lot with this very friendly view of a small lake and the forest . the terrace with its large pergola is ideal for resting or having a drink . we enjoyed the large swimming pool with its summer kitchen. hosts are exceptionally kind and welcoming . we recommend without hesitation.
Thank you so much for a wonderful week in your house. We enjoyed the sparkling wine, the beautiful flowers and the house is just amazing with everything we needed. Highlights for us were nine holes of golf just outside of Saumur, cycling, a wine tour, meals out and relaxing by the pool. We caught roach, dace and three large bream. There was a beautiful kingfisher by the stream. Perfect weather and we have appreciated everything all the more after all the restrictions of the last two years.
We had a fantastic 2 week holiday in this beautiful house with amazing surroundings! We visited several picturesque villages. Spent some lovely days and evenings around the pool and BBQ's. Totally relaxing!
What a wonderful stay we have had and what a special part of France! Olonzac market on a Tuesday was a real highlight. Kayaking at Puicheric was so much fun and the water was crystal clear for swimming. Narbonne and the market was quite a spectacle - such a fun and varied trip. Absolutely delicious property in a beautiful part of the world. The property is very well maintained and rustic. I can recommend to any group planning a stay in the Dordogne. Our stay was in mid April when the weather started to improve. 26 degrees on our last day, perfect!

An incredible place to disconnect! The hosts treated us very well and took care very well that we did not lack anything. The house is very comfortable and beautiful, fully equipped and with very comfortable beds. All the rooms are comfortable and beautiful. You can tell that they have thought of everything and that they take care of the details with affection. We leave delighted and in love with the region and the environment that surrounds this dream house.
Looking for a relaxing holiday in a stunning environment? Château Entre-Deux-Mers offers it all. The panoramic view on the vineyards, the nicely decorated rooms, the orangerie full of daylight, the library to read at ease, the dining room with huge fireplace, the kitchen where the local cook prepared breakfast and dinner (hmmmm..), the different lovely corners in the flowered garden... Really, I can recommend this castle for a stay with family and friends. I can guarantee: you will come back as reborn. And for those who look for some activities: we used the bikes to explore the surroundings, we made nice joggings and visited Bordeaux with a guide. We will certainly go back :-)
We loved the setting, location and character of this beautiful house which we feel could tell many interesting stories (... if only walls could speak!). Our boys loved the pool and made great friends with the friendly tortoise. R. favours the name 'Toby' and B. likes 'Edouard'. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch for my birthday at Bistro Maritime and looking forward to dinner at Bistro Pharell for our last evening. Great days out exploring St-Émilion-Libourne. A great trip by train (so easy) to Bordeaux. The bassin de lumière is amazing if you have a wet day. We also loved watching the Mascaret from the house - so glad we were here on the 'right' day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Orchard Farmhouse and would have no problem recommending this beautiful house to friends and family. We liked eating on the terrace admiring the spectacular view of the Dordogne landscape. Great facilities for the children, especially in the games room. I have stayed in this property twice now, once with family and once with a group. Both times have been excellent. The villa itself is large, spacious with all the facilities you will ever need and very well maintained. On the last visit, it was noticeable that money had been spent modernising the interior. The key asset is the large pool which is fantastic. We spent most of our time using the kitchen and barbeque area in the pool house and dipping in and out of the pool. Very relaxing. The grounds are large too so plenty of space for the kids to run around safely. Vidauban itself is a traditional French village with shops, cafés and restaurants around the town square etc. and slightly further afield good access to the Côte d'Azur, several water parks and the gorgeous and picturesque Lac du Verdon, with a plethora of water activities from windsurfing, to pedal boat rentals and of course a great number of Vineyards to sample the local Rose wine. Recommend very highly.
