We have just returned from a wonderful ten day stay at Château des Grillauds with our three children (aged 8, 7 and 5). The château and grounds are absolutely beautiful and perfect for a peaceful (except for the children) break. The children loved and lived in, the swimming pool all day and fell asleep each night watching movies in the upstairs lounge, while the adults enjoyed the elegant charm of the house and (a few bottles of) the local produce. I almost didn't write a review because I wanted to keep this gem of a house a secret, but we could not recommend it highly enough. Special thanks are due to next door neighbours who welcomed us and could not have been more helpful or better company during our stay; including taking us to Le Pizou for the local Tuesday evening fiesta (wrong word I'm sure). In summary, a magical ten days - can't wait to come back.
House: Fantastic. Idyllic. Perfect. Classical. Beautiful. Spacious. Practical. Comfortable. Beautiful area for touring (Brantôme, Jarnac). Garden: Very child friendly. Garden Jenga etc. Clean and very safe. Beautiful pool and alfresco dining areas. Also adult friendly. V good Gas BBQ.
We had a lovely holiday here ! The place was beautifully quiet and well-equipped. Pau is definitely worth a visit with wonderful restaurants. We had a great stay and are heading home fully recharged.
We has the most amazing time at Domaine du Château! The pictures do not do the beautiful property justice, on site and surrounding areas very well kept and very quintessential, especially views during afternoon pool time! Each room is very comfortable and luxuriously appointed. Great thought went into unique details of each room and space and privacy for a large group. The best part of the whole experience was the wonderful staff, who produced incredible meals for us and made sure that our every need was met. It was a vacation that we will not soon forget. Wonderful stay and would recommend this property to anyone who wanted to immerse into the French wine country.

We are having a great time and the house is just perfect. The kids are loving the games room and the pool - our 11 year old is pretty much wrinkly all the time!
Thanks for a lovely week in your fabulous holiday house, it was very kind of you to let us arrive early so we could easily visit the market. It was quite entertaining seeing the gendarmes trying to organise the market day traffic (and the usual bonkers French parking!) We have stayed in quite a few properties in the South of France but not managed to find somewhere that was both walking distance to a nice town and a high spec house. Yours certainly ticked both of those boxes. Especially with the weather not being on our side, we spent a lot of time in the house and really appreciated all of the luxury living area and kitchen features. The kids loved the pool (and it did stay at 26 degrees!), so we did manage to venture in almost every day, much to the amazement of some of the locals! Thanks also for all of the information and recommendations that you and Lisa sent through before and during our stay. It was very much appreciated and hugely helpful.
What a wonderful holiday in this lovely home. We were warmly welcomed by Corinne and found everything we could ever want / wish for on a family holiday / parents / grand parents and small children. The weather was as anticipated - hot and temperate at times, incredible thunder storms / blue skies. The pool was a great hit with all and the pool toys, outdoor toys and indoor entertainment ensured all needs were catered for. Finally, a great thank you to Mel for her attention to detail and unfailing helpfulness.

We rented the villa with 2 other couples and all had a fabulous time. The Eyermanns were wonderful hosts and provided us with a wonderful home base for a travels to Nice, Cannes, Monte Carlo and Antibes for day trips on short drives. We took walks to the sea every day and the 3 bakeries and food store plus many resturants are only minutes away. We made use of the heated pool every day and can honestly say we never ate a meal indoors. The weather was fabulous. This was an unbelievable vacation we will always remember!
Have had a great two weeks here in your wonderful house. Very spacious and well-appointed, tasteful and comfortable. Boys have thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We have appreciated tranquility and privacy. We have enjoyed exploring the area and sampling the local cuisine. Restaurant recommendations include Hotel-Restaurant du Château in Campagne, Auberge Médiévale Audrix and for rustic but delicious farmhouse cuisine - Auberge Rebeyrotte near Pressigirac Vicq. We stayed in this beautiful house in June of this year Wow what a find ! Situated in the magnificent village of Pezenas the house is only a few minutes walk away from amazing antique shops , Boulangeries, and craft shops. The house itself is perfect throughout with a great outdoor pool and lovely outdoor area for eating and even has separate games room too ! Carcassonne and Montpellier are easily accessible and should be explored! So much to do in the area, we will be back! Would highly recommend.
What a remarkable project this house has bee ! Spacious and comfortable with fantastic garden and pool. We enjoyed visiting Bordeilles Castle and beautiful river, plus Brantome and paddle-boarding. We loved the market in Riberac, but the best of all was being here. So sad to leave !

Thank you for sharing your fantastic home with us. Perfect location and layout of the house, with a great outside bathing area to watch the sunsets with a glass of wine. Laprade not to be missed. If you are prepared to drive a little further Issigeac (Noth East of Eymet) worth a visit with a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants. Big thanks to Olivia, always on hand to help. Our stay at La Valentine has been an absolute pleasure. A walm welcome from pierre and Claire set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Food at the local village square pizzeria was excellent with friendly locals and staff. Trips into Cassis were great fun including trips to the beaches there and hiring a board from behind the tourist info office. Food at the yacht club was lovely and a bit more relaxed than the bustle of the town. All in all a memorable stay.
The house itself is superb and clearly a lot of thought went into its restoration, the evidence of quality is everywhere. We loved that when you arrived, it was a total surprise. It is a wonderfully spacious home, private and so well equipped. A truly relaxing holiday, we wanted for nothing.

Wonderful home for a family vacation, amenities all on one level with nice pool with good alarm protection. Also a great place to live outside with pizza maker, BBQ and very easy to use functional kitchen. Lots of outside shaded seating areas. Air conditioning in bedrooms was a great benefit during hot weather. Lovely furnishings and felt like the home of a happy family. Easy access to boulangerie, supermarket and local restaurant - all less than 5 minutes walk. Thank you.
Dear host, Thank you - we had a very nice stay in the holiday house! The beaches nearby and all the nice, old cities are all very worth to be explored. All in one - it was a wonderful stay for the kids and us.
We had a fantastic family holiday everyone loved the pool / tennis court, BBQ's, trips to the local villages. We came last year and we will definitely book again.
