Lovely house in an ideal situation. We had a wonderful time doing a little exploring but mainly lying by the beautiful pool. It's an ideal design to sit in and cool off. Two minutes walk for croissants in the morning and Rose wine in the afternoon - the Supermarket! We agree its a 5 / 5.
Thank you for a very relaxing holiday in your fabulous house. We will long remember our lazy days by the pool. The house had everything we needed - a real home from home, with bags of French character.

This is an ideal holiday home if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing time surrounded by beautiful countryside. There are no other houses nearby, yet you are only a 10 minute drive from the nearby Bastide of Monpazier and larger town of Villareal, where there are shops, restaurants, markets etc. The pool is a good size and well maintained and the house is very well equipped. We have been coming to France for over 10 years and this is the only property which has enticed us back for 2 years running.

A Perfect Family Retreat – Exceeded Our Expectations! We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful villa and it truly exceeded our expectations. The photos on the website don’t fully capture the charm and spaciousness of this property. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. La Ferme Éclaircie is brilliantly laid out, offering plenty of open space, which was perfect for our family of five. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped, making meal preparation a breeze. Each room was spotless, tidy and provided ample storage space for all our holiday belongings. The games room was a fantastic bonus, keeping our children entertained during the occasional rainy day. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible pool. Our three boys absolutely loved it and spent hours splashing around. The gentle slope of the pool was especially helpful for our youngest, who learned to swim during this holiday - an unforgettable milestone for our family. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area, which was ideal for both daytime relaxation and evening games as we watched the sun set. The peaceful surroundings and stunning views added to the tranquility of our stay. La Ferme Éclaircie location is perfect for exploring the local area, which offers plenty of activities to keep a family like ours busy. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, this villa is a perfect choice. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended!

If / when we return to continue exploring this lovely area of France, we would hope to be able to stay in 'The Loft'. Russell and Karen have been very welcoming and helpful, but unobtrusive and nothing seems too much trouble. Perfect hosts! Sad to be leaving after only a week.
We spent two superb weeks in your beautiful home. it is quiet and clean and it has all the necessary equipment. The large garden is lovely with plenty of shade. We loved also the table tennis. But we liked the pool most of all, in the hot weather.
The Manoir is magnificent in every way. A perfect base for exploring The Dordogne. We all had an unforgettable holiday with lovely memories to treasure. Special thanks to Pierre and the lovely ‘pool guy’! Hope to return someday.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week. The accommodation was first class, very well appointed, bright and spacious with comfortable beds. The pool was attractive and inviting. There were plenty of areas around it to sit, lounge and relax, surrounded by beautiful blossom. There was plenty to do in the area from perched villages to golden beaches. The owners were friendly and helpful, yet unobtrusive. We would certainly recommend a stay.
Beautiful renovation with the charm of old stones and the modernity of interior materials. Premium interior equipment. Absolute calm, without proximity to the road. Very comfortable for this property. Christophe available, nice and helpful. It was perfect.
Thank you for sharing your fantastic home with us. Perfect location and layout of the house, with a great outside bathing area to watch the sunsets with a glass of wine. Laprade not to be missed. It's impossible not to smile in the Gers. At the heart of Gascony, this land is green and gentle, with hills, rivers, armagnac, ducks, arcaded village squares and solid people ambling a couple of hours behind mainstream France. Given the feudal feel, a château fits the frame. Few are more sumptuous than the Château Mézard, near Condom, which sleeps 13. Surrounded by 42 acres, it's the sort of place ordinary mortals pay to look round, not stay in.
Very good stay! There were 8 of us: everything went very well. The house is pleasant and conforms to the description: the 4 bathrooms are appreciable!
Maison Bourg Calès is most definitely a five-star property. It is a beautiful property, both inside and outside, beautifully clean and fully equipped with everything you could possible need for a wonderful holiday. We also really appreciated the extra touches - the bottle of own label wine that awaited us, the basket full of towels for the pool and the store cupboard of kitchen essentials. We loved the saltwater pool. We would happily recommend it to anyone wishing to holiday in the Dordogne and looking for a well-located, high quality property.

We enjoyed it so much, with trips towards Narbonne, the Canal du Midi, Pézenas, Gruissan for the stage 16 of the Tour de France, as well as lots of time in the fantastic pool! you wer a great host, showing us your new wine cellar (I didn't drink all the wine!) and telling us your plans to make the house even better. At the end of a long and busy vacation in France, the property was a beautiful place to relax. The grounds and pool are perfect, the owners were friendly and helpful. Very clean, well appointed, comfortable. Close enough to go where we wanted along the Côte d'Azur, but peaceful when we wanted to relax. One week was not enough. Will definitely return here if we travel to France again.
A very belated note to say thanks very much for your help in making our stay in Les Rocans go smoothly. We had a great time and loved how relaxed it was. We were considering rebooking for next year however Mum has just announced she will be taking a larger place to celebrate her 70th in next summer, so the good news is she will pick up the bill (!) but the bad news is we can't stay with you again next year. We will however certainly bear Les Rocans in mind for the future as we had a thoroughly relaxing time.
