We stayed in Jean and Martin’s beautiful Gite over the recent May Bank Holiday and we were absolutely delighted with our stay in every way we could possibly be! The Gite itself is immaculately appointed; it is beautifully in character and so generously equipped with all one needs for a seamless and relaxing stay. The kitchen boasts a washing machine and dishwasher - really useful for a longer stay . Great outside area with a bbq and an extra outside kitchen area, sink and 2nd fridge. The outside dining terrace is so comfortable and looks out on a beautifully maintained garden area with pool , sun chairs and gazebo - so comfy and relaxing. The bathroom is a very good size with both bath and shower. Upstairs are two generously sized bedrooms - one double and then a twin room.. Although my husband and I travelled with friends on this occasion, it was very apparent that the Gite is beautifully family friendly ; a cot and high chairs are also provided . The surrounding area is stunning - a few minutes walk to the local shops and cafes. Not far at all by car from many local beautiful areas and restaurants. Jean and Martin are perfect hosts - we honestly couldn’t ask for more and we will definitely be returning.
We had all been looking forward to this holiday and nothing disappointed - we have all had a wonderful time and at least we christened the pool! The time has passed so quickly - thank you for your wonderful hospitality, as always. We are looking forward to seeing you again this October.

Perfect romantic getaway. Maison Meunier is set in the beautiful grounds, next to the old mill, overlooking the lake. The cottage is beautifully furnished and has its own patio and pool. The facilities are superb, the grounds are well manicured, lovely for walks and there is a fabulous games room where you can meet up with other guests for a drink and a chat and maybe a game of pool. A stroll into the village to sample the local fair is a must, the villagers made us very welcome. There are a number of local market towns (bastides) and châteaux close by including Monpazier a lively bastide with many shops and restaurants to enjoy. The owners were really helpful with advice on where to go and what to do, they couldn't do enough for us. Fabulous holiday.
Thank you both for the most wonderful stay at your beautiful villa. We’ve had the most incredible week exploring the South of France – an area we love – and discovering new places. This spot is extremely special and we’ve relished the relaxing days and evenings spent here (made even more special by the sighting of a wild boar with babies and your marvellous set up for the gorgeous cats) – thank you for showing us this! The secluded spot, surrounded by woodland, an aromatic and fragrant garden attracting many butterflies, a beautiful pool and terrace area is somewhere we won’t forget and would love to come back to. Everything has been thought of at this place which makes it so homely. Everything from kitchen utensils and supplies to the BBQ, bowls and the TV set-up – the place has it all. You have both been such friendly and discrete hosts, allowing us such privacy and the personality you have stamped on the place (from plants, to artwork and sculptures as well as the lovely cats) makes this space so full of character too. Thanks again and we wish you both the best – hopefully we’ll return in the future!
A perfect catalyst to one of our best weeks Our second trip at this beautiful home and once again, we had a ball!
What a lovely time we had! Our two week stay could not have been better. As others have said, the location is a perfect mix of rural quiet and peace, while being close enough to an excellent bakery and convenient shop. If you are lucky enough to holiday there, don’t miss the wonderful restaurants nearby. Debbie is the most amazing host, always there when you need her and very discreet. Her thoughtful and knowledgeable suggestions added immeasurably to our enjoyment.
Many thanks indeedfor letting us share your wonderful cottage - it made for an excellent week! Torn between seeing the countryside, castles, vineyards and markets versus walking, canoeing or swimming, or just relaxing in the garden beside the pool ; too much choice! Thank you also for the bottle of fizzy on our arrival and the personal touch of roses in every room - all were much appreciated!

We had a fantastic holiday at Manoir de Levesque. The grounds were ideal for our children and dog to play and explore and the swimming pool was well and truly made use of every day, even on cooler days thanks to the heating! The inflatables were a much appreciated welcome gift and provided no end of fun. The BBQ area gives a superb evening view. We stayed in the main manor and enjoyed the property's character and charm, which had everything we needed. Special thanks to Tracey who prepared several meals in the manor for us to enjoy without hassle of driving to a restaurant. We did venture out a few times and highly recommend Le Lac restaurant at Argenton, especially as it welcomes dogs on the terrace. Elanor, Roger and Tracey really did tend to our every need and gave us good recommendations on things to do as well as sorting any issues we had. This was our first family holiday since covid had curtailed our usual regular holidays overseas. The location and ease of access for us from Jersey now makes a holiday in a rented home in the Loire a very appealing alternative to international travel and we felt quite safe everywhere we went with the measures in place, but also due to the ability to stay away from crowds and enjoy family time in a lovely property. We will almost certainly do it again.
We had a great time at Villa Lavinière. Both the house and its views were amazing. The hills around the house were lovely to explore and we really enjoyed the facilities at the house itself (pool and pétanque). Parc du Haut-Languedoc, Minerve, Saint-Pons-de-Thomières, the Montagne Noire and Carcassonne were all highly recommended. We were also lucky enough to see the Tour de France passing by.
Just wanted to touch base to say thank you for another 2 wonderful weeks in your lovely home. There's so much to do in the area! It was great fun.

So much for the kids to do - swimngs, slide, trampoline, swimming and may runing races, lots of yumy wines and cheese. Two scrumptious meals cooked by Tim and Ali. Very tempted to return next year! I'm going to preface this review by saying our extended family have hired a number of châteaux over the years, so we have something to make comparisons with! Without doubt this château offered the best value for money we have ever enjoyed. Our party of 18 used all the 10 bedrooms on offer, without anyone having to compromise on bedroom space. The kitchen was large enough to cater for the entire party with plenty of worktop space and a large island unit. Refreshingly there are plenty of cooking utensils and professional sized pans etc. There are three fridges, we used the large stand alone fridge for food,= and the two under counter fridges for 'adults' and kids drinks. The lounge diner is huge and comfortable, with good quality games available, including chess and backgammon. The pool is among the largest we've ever enjoyed with a deep end you can actually dive into. At points we had a dozen people in the pool and still had room to swim around. There are two main terraces, both easily able to accommodate at least 20 people. Smaller seating areas are dotted around the grounds so if inclined you can take yourself off for a bit of peace and quiet. There is a new and very good quality BBQ on the rear terrace with a moving charcoal tray which means you can raise the heat source as charcoal burns away. We were able to BBQ for 18 on half a bag of lump wood. Our party had 5 cars, the driveway was large enough for them to be parked so that everyone could drive out of the château without the need to move another vehicle. Saving the best to last, the sports hall/games room is magnificent. With a full sized badminton court, a basket ball hoop, 2 table tennis tables, table football, a darts board,= and a full sized pool table our whole party had plenty of activities to choose from. This facility was constantly used for weeklong knockout completions including our own decathlon type event. Modesty prevents me revealing who the best pool player was. From our perspective, this vast array of facilities and activities provided the perfect ingredients for our first ever holiday where children needed no entertaining at all. Finally a place they can truly entertain themselves.

Thank you so much for an amazing stay, how will we cope without the view!!!! Main highlights include, hanging around the house, Mount Ventoux for go carting and tubing etc, watching the Tour de France at Grignan, Nyons for great markets and music in the evenings, les Barons perches Nyons for high ropes and Vaison la romaine.

We have had an amazing holiday! A gorgeous villa, clean and well-equipped. Thank you Philippe for being such a wonderful host – especially for the delicious pastries! The villa is so lovely that we have been more than happy to have some lazy days but we have also had some great outings. Carcassonne and its castle is not to be missed. The market at Olonzac on a Tuesday is fabulous. Narbonne beach is stunning and we really enjoyed seeing and taking a boat trip on the 9 locks of Fonseranes. We would not hesitate to return here – I think it would be very hard to find another place as good as this! Very sad to be returning home but very lucky to have made some amazing memories!
Very nice stay at the Palaisienne. The house is well equipped, pretty, clean and above all very suitable for children, so nothing but happiness for parents. The owner is very kind and available for all our questions. We only have to thank you for this wonderful vacation.

We have loved your home so much and have only began to absorb the beauty of Le Mas de Téjat. I know we will leave your home, recalling the marvellous memories created here. It has been a breath of fresh air from England. The pool is huge and refreshing in the fabulous heat here in France! Your exotic artwork bring the place to life, sparking many conversations.
