We are back from a great week in Maison Soulette in Thézan-les-Béziers. The house was just as pictured and described, perfect for our family. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, good kitchen and cosy sitting room. The terraces, the garden and the view were all beautiful. The weather was sunny and warm, so we spent many lazy days outside by the swimming pool. Our daughters made full use of the heated pool and had a lot of fun playing table tennis.
Lovely stay, house in great location. Enjoyed Palm Beach Club at Les Vagues. Altogether a great week.
Thank you so much for letting us stay in your house. We did have a great time here with our kids. The weather was splendid. We did enjoy the pool, the garden and the whole mansion. We managed to do some sightseeing. We will remember the stay for a long time and we hope to come back here in the future. Thank you one more time for everything.
Both (the house and grounds) are absolutely beautiful and fantastic for parents and children alike. Despite a lot of activities in and around the area, we chose to stay 'in' more than we had expected because of how good the house and grounds were. A stunning location which surpassed our expectations. Both this and the hosts made this into a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. THE BEST FAMILY HOLIDAY WE'VE HAD - Thank you for everything! X
We (family of four, 2 adults and 2 children) enjoyed a lovely week here in July. Fantastic with private pool which was cleaned every day, walking distance to pretty village and bakers, lovely and very welcoming hosts. The house contains two sweet bedrooms, large and relaxing lounge / kitchen area, outdoor kitchen and terrace plus a nice pavilion by the pool. Lots of games available including a table tennis table. Had a great week and happy to recommend.
Wanted to say a massive thank you for letting us stay at your incredible house. How lucky you are to have that place - from the family photos, it looks like you have a lot of great memories from years gone by. We had a very relaxing time hanging out with our family at the house and thoroughly enjoyed pottering around the French countryside. It was just what the doctor ordered! Patrick and Jayne were also very helpful throughout our stay so please do thank them for their amazing hospitality

We went as four couples to spend New Year's Eve and it was sensational. The house is very welcoming and comfortable. 4 bedrooms with their bathroom. The combined kitchen-dining-room-livingroom is wide, comfortable and functional. The Perfect heating. The hostess responded almost immediately to the inquiries we made. The town is also very small and quiet. A highly recommended place.
A lovely town house in a quiet village, with the added bonus of a pool. We enjoyed dining on the terrace in the evening watching the sun set.
Splendid couple of weeks in this peaceful spot. Particularly enjoyed market days: Périgueux (Wednesday), Brantôme (Friday) and Nontron (Saturday). Be sure to hit the wine cave in Mareuil early on your visit. Also enjoyed the Grottes Villars and Jardin as well as the Château in Bourdeilles. Next time will eat at Le Moulin de l'Abbaye but failed to book enough in advance. For kids: playpark in Brantôme and daily walk to bakers' in Léguillac. Bonnes vacances !

Our second stay at 'Mel's place', the first was in 2012. Returned with 2 more grand children and a grand son's girlfriend. Have stayed in many houses over the years - this is by far the best. Brilliant pool for everyone, loads of space for the children to play and a secret garden if you want to get away from it. We didn't go far - we just enjoyed the opportunity for us all to get together for a relaxing holiday. Also there is so much equipment and toys for the children - Mel's thought of everything, an excellent host.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for making our holiday at le Mas Repenti such an amazing one. We all had a fantastic time and made some great memories. Alexandra - your house is amazing and all the tips about what to do during our stay were super useful! At Les Oliviers du Sud we felt like God in France as usual. From the sunny terrace, with a glass of wine in hand, a cheese nearby, we enjoyed the vines in the valley below us in ‘deafening’ silence, watched the olives come out of the blossom and listened to the cheerful twittering of the birds. The flat of the ever friendly and helpful hosts Esther and Leonard is furnished with taste. A touch of nostalgia with the look of today. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is comfortable. Everything not only looks new, but is new. From the first moment, we felt at home here. The nearby forests invite you to go for a nice walk. By the way, you can walk everywhere in the area. Tip: the route along the medieval village of La Roque-sur-Ceze with the waterfalls nearby. In the village of Tresques, near Domaine Cadignac, we imagined ourselves in the France of old. A medieval tower with an exhibition of contemporary art, a bakery and grocery shop, a water spring where the villagers tap their daily drinking water and a good winemaker. Where do you still find these villages? The residence is conveniently located for visiting larger cities. Half an hour’s drive and you are in Orange with memories of the Dutch royal house or in the papal city of Avignon, where you can browse in one of those real French bric-a-brac markets in a suburb every Saturday morning. Or you can walk around Nîmes Collesseum after an hour’s drive and have visited the impressive aqueduct built by Romans on the way there. The ancient city centre of Nîmes and of historic Avignon are also an eldorado for funshoppers. In short, the fully equipped and rustic L'Oliveraie was an ideal base for us to (re)discover French nature and culture. We will definitely come back here again!
We enjoyed a fantastic 2 weeks in this lovely house. The pool was very popular (due to the August heatwave - most days were 30 - 33 degrees). It was nice to be given a guided tour of the property by Yvonne and be welcomed with flowers and wine. The house has so much character - It would be lovely to learn a little more about its history and former occupants. We loved lots of the al fresco dining and one particularly memorable cheese and wine night in the candlelit wine cellar! Île de Ré, La Rochelle, Cognac, Marais poitevin are all we worth visiting. Make sure you take a look at the stars on a clean night - we spotted a few shooting stars!
Beautiful and charming villa surrounded by greenery with pool and view. A really great villa in a nice area. The view with Cannes in the distance is very nice. The villa has five bedrooms, each with its own modern bathroom and toilet. Great is also the terrace with a large table and chairs and a gas barbecue. The accommodation is on two floors and therefore also has two living rooms, each with a fireplace. The garden and the heated pool complete the whole very nicely. The kitchen with two fridges, stove, microwave and dishwasher has nothing to miss. Everything was available on crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, cups and glasses in sufficient quantity. A carport, too. A very big plus is the hostess and her caretaker. Both are very friendly and helpful. Communication has also worked wonderfully. I would also like to thank you here for the absolute kindness to bring a delicious birthday cake to my mother. Very thoughtful.
We had a wonderful stay at Maison Hirondelles. We very much enjoyed our stay at your beautiful villa. Accommodation was excellent, well equipped and very comfortable. A memorable week in Les Trois Maisons de Valescure. Our host Thomas was very caring and attentive. Very good services (top bedding and cleanliness, nothing to complain about. A pleasant break in a magnificent and relaxing place. Thank you very much for the welcome and your kindness. We will come back with pleasure!
A perfect villa with a perfect property manager. We are six retired Americans who travel together often. The property manager is most responsive we have dealt with. If messaged at a reasonable hour she respond in minutes. Now add to that a wonderful modernised property in a wonderful location and you get what we got, a perfect vacation. The property manager arranged a driver and a cook and both were outstanding. The property has stunning views and easy access to rail, within walking distance of fine restaurants and the privacy all renters seek. If you are visiting the south of France and you want to be a short distance from all things and a short train ride to Cannes and Nice, you cannot do better than this property and you will not find a better property manager. If we could give more than 5 stars we would.
At last, a gîte that really does cater for all of us! We've had a lovely 2 weeks, the pool is fab and surrounding area perfect for our activities. ie climbing, caving, kayaking and via ferrata. Thanks for providing such a superb place.
Who would have guessed you could have daily swims in April? This fabulous pool really was the star. The apartment is well equipped and immaculately clean. The village is a comfortable walk away and there's an excellent ELeclerc grocery that's a short drive. (You will need a car if you intend to go anywhere once you've arrived. Get a small non-electric one.) We've already booked our next stay.
