A fantastic place to be, hosts are very friendly and helpful. The gîtes are beautiful decorated and the view is stunning. We had a great time and I would not hesitate to book this beautiful domaine for a holiday again. I wrote a comment in the guestbook to encourage other people to spend their vacation at La Picholine.
Wonderful house for 7 people. The rooms were very spacious, as was the outside space. Excellent for families I would say. A very warm welcome by the host and pool was attended to throughout. Many thanks to Victoire and Gaby.
Lovely place to stay, enjoyed being able to walk to the cafes and shops. Highlights; cycling to Chinon own hire bikes. Lovely walk through vineyards to the soap museum/shop. We had some extremely hot days (37 degrees) so went to Lac du Grezillé. Loved Saumur and Chinon, highly recommend Château Bréze.
I just wanted to say what a great time we had on our recent visit to Maison Des Communes, Philippe and Federica were wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome. The house in a tranquil location was perfect for a very relaxing get away from it all.
We have spent many happy holidays in France, but as this year is our 40th wedding anniversary we thought we should look for somewhere really special - and we found it! The house is a delight and the garden is the most beautiful place to rest and relax. The countryside around is very peaceful and charming and we greatly enjoyed the nearby towns and villages. The abbey at Fontevraud was a special highlight and the châteaux at Saumur, Chinon and Angers, which we last visited more than 30 years ago, were all well worth visiting again - so much restoration work has been done in the intervening years. We also liked the Corniche Angevine which runs along the South bank of the Loire between Rochefort and Challones and the many wine growing areas. What a fantastic holiday we had in Debbie and Rupert’s beautiful home! The house was so lovely and comfortable and so nicely located next to the vineyards. The family had such fun times by the pool and also managed to have some adventurous trips to the beautiful surrounding villages. Debbie and Rupert were so welcoming that we even ended up staying a few extra days! We’ve definitely made some great new friends and we can’t wait to come back!
After months of searching for the perfect 'retreat' we arrived at Le Presbytère! Exactly what we envisioned for our first trip to France with out kids. We have so enjoyed the pool, pond and of course, the whole place. We visited every bastide and market and cooked to our hearts content. Such an exquisite spot - we know the area very well - but rarely left this spot; instead played games, spotted frogs and foxes and explored every inch of this 'fab' property. Perhaps a X-mas visit next?! Many thanks for sharing this beautiful home - we hope to return soon. Gary and Louise were great - close at hand but unintrusive.

It's true, the villa and the pool are much more beautiful 'live' than on the pictures. We felt very comfortable in your great villa and it was a great pleasure to meet you. We will definitely come again. And if you get lost in Zurich, you have to come and visit us.
Just a quick note to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday at Mas de Lozanne. Beautiful house, well looked after, close to the fabulous town of Pézenas with some brilliant weather. A superb stay, we all had a wonderful time, super nice pool, significant air conditioning (at night) even if the electricity rate on arrival seemed exorbitant to us. Eva is very responsive and this is a plus for a peaceful arrival. We were 14 and the house is really adapted, the kitchen is very functional with everything you need to cook well! We will come back (we are already thinking about it).
We had the most amazing stay at Château Périgord. Twelve friends of 38 years celebrated two 65th birthday, one 60th birthday, two retirements and one 21st birthday. We couldn't think of a better place to celebrate. The house is magnificent and catered for all our needs. The owners have been amazing, thank you for all your recommendations. We will miss this place terribly, but what amazing memories we have, thank you!
Many thanks for a wonderful week, we have so enjoyed this lovely house and the beautiful area around it, we wish we had more than a week to see more of what we wanted, we enjoyed the circular walk through the mixed pine forest, it’s very pretty and only 2 km long. We loved l Auberge du petit bistro in Vinsobres (a 2/3 minute drive), this was our favourite eating experience, while Vaison la Romain was lovely to visit. Many thanks for bringing us to all these wonderful experiences.

Best villa we have stayed in during 10 years of staying in France for holidays. Extremely well-equipped, great setting and fantastic views.
We have had a splendid time here and greatly enjoyed the villa. It was very relaxing and comfortable place with incredible views over the vineyards and hill. We spent a lot of time by the pool but also explored the neighbouring sights - Roquebrun was great fun and we also liked Minerve and managed to get down to the coast at Cabaues-les-Fleury.

Our week at Maison des Communes has been the most perfect way to celebrate 3 very important birthdays. Two 60th and one 40th. We have enjoyed every moment and couldn't have wished for a better location, or host to make this stay as special as possible. As a group of six adults (three couples) it was great to each have our own space with the villa, but also lovely communal areas to have our meals and relax together. Everything about the villa has been ideal from the pool, bikes and comfortable bedroom to the spacious sprawling grounds. the icing on the cake has been Philippe. What a gracious host bringing fresh pastries, leaving welcome gifts. Thanks so much. we will be back.
What a fantastic house in such a lovely location! We had a really wonderful break and enjoyed visiting the local châteaux and villages. Jackie was so prompt in replying to messages. The house and pool provided everything we needed. We definitely would love to return sometime. Thank you so much.
Well to start with I had such a great time at Villa Kali, the pool is utterly fabulous and the beds are comfy! I love the nature / fig trees / lizards / frogs and more! Luckily France was hot. I love the table tennis, its great. Visit the town centre, great shops. We went to the beach and got a little sunburnt - Whoops! Great holiday, hope to come again.
The most enjoyable part of France. The most enjoyable stay in “luxe” villa. Highlights: fresh veg from Duras market on Monday. eating out at Eymet, almost any restaurant will do, but particular favourites are Cour d’Eymet and Château les Vigiers. watching the red kites hunting over the fields in the evening . The lizards and the geko on the patio. All in all a memorable experience.
A very friendly welcome. The place is very quiet while allowing visits to tourist sites. The kitchen is very well equipped. We enjoyed discovering the family history (which manages the nearby Napoleon Museum).
We are off on an amazing two weeks in Le Malardier, a house full of character and so spacious. Thank you Gay and Richard. Our American friends explored the area but we Brits who do not see the sun as much as them were more than happy to lounge around the pool. There was everything you could want in the house and the children were delighted with the toys in the attic! This is a beautiful part of France, the views are spectacular. We found some great restaurants and enjoyed the local culture. Au Revoir.
We have just returned from Villa La Baronne where our family of 15 had a wonderful time! The villa is exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. It is in an ideal location, less than a 10 minute drive to the nearest supermarket.

Very nice place for a stay with friends or family, beautiful interior and exterior spaces, with a magnificent view. In addition, it is possible to take beautiful walks starting from the property.
