We had a wonderful family stay at La Maison Folignon. We were quite numerous and the house lent itself perfectly: very large living room, very comfortable and equipped kitchen, quality materials, comfort of having a bathroom and a toilet per bedroom, rooms that are spacious and comfortable (heated bed!). Clare even provided us with enough to welcome our two little ones of 8 months and 3 years in a very comfortable way. We asked Andy, Clare's husband, to cook us a birthday meal the evening of our arrival, during which we feasted. Clare and Andy were both discreet and immediately present when we needed them. I recommend this accommodation 100%!
A fitting venue to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our four children, their husbands and wives and our grandchildren! Memories that will remain for years. Well provided for, comfortable and panoramic views -with a week of excellent weather! Thank you and your staff!
A charming and pretty old house with a private garden and small pool to cool off in. It was clean, extremely tasteful and comfortable. There were five of us and we had plenty of room. Good garden furniture outside and loungers by the pool too. Eimear was a really helpful and responsive host with clear instructions and helpful tips. Gabian is a sweet little town and we enjoyed wandering down to the boulangerie for croissants and bread every morning. The local area is pretty and we went to various beaches and Pezenas all of which were easily reached by car. We all loved our stay and highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maison Gounou. There were seven of us from the same extended family, aged from thirteen to sixty-two, plus two small dogs. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how quiet and peaceful the location was, which coming from south London was a real blessing. Although the house is situated on a small road, passing cars were extremely rare. We met some of the local neighbours when out dog walking, and they were pleasant and friendly. The house is beautiful and comfortable, very picturesque with a large gravelled driveway for several cars. We could close the iron gates to keep the dogs inside, which was useful. The pool was exceptionally clean, very refreshing and well maintained. The kitchen was equipped with plenty of pots of pans for large-scale cooking, including many le Creuset dishes. The rooms were spacious, the bedrooms comfortable, with plenty of bathrooms and toilets for everyone. Bedding was changed half way through our two-week visit. The surrounding area is full of old bastide towns with markets and medieval buildings, outdoor evening dining events, medieval fairs, artisan shops . Although it was thriving, nowhere felt too busy or stressful. We found lots of places to eat including a lovely restaurant in Monpazier (Privilege du Perigord) that served a tasty three-course lunch for 23 euros. Highlights of the stay: peace and tranquillity, ability to let go and relax. Lovely veranda to sit and read/relax/fall asleep, lots of books to look at, lovely sitting room. More than enough space for seven people and two dogs. Lovely local towns to stroll around.
We had a good week in the quiet In a setting conducive to recovery and rest. Pleasant stay that we recommend.
Had a lovely relaxing 2 week stay. John and Annie are gracious hosts - lovely touches - wine and cheese and flowers. Fabulous palces to visit - La Rochelle, Fontenay, Plage des Belagus. Vouvant is a charming village. Ideal for a great holiday.
We have returned! Even more enjoyable this year, weather and pool fantastic. The villa is close to perfect.

We all loved the comfort of the beds and quality of the linen, the faultless hot water supply and how clean the pool was. This villa really works, allowing us to have a stress-free holiday! Wonderful place. We are having to tear ourselves away from this wonderful place and head back to reality. The peace and tranquility have done us all a world of good so we are refreshed and reinvigorated. Highlights, (apart from the house which is a highlight of its own) the live music events in the Village, Kayating from Ste-Foy La Grande back to Pessac and the miles and miles of wonderful cycling routes. The pool was a blessing as we were here over the hottest days. Thank you!

A challenging end of year led to my very last minute search for somewhere special to stay for Christmas. We jumped for joy when your Loft showed as available for 8 days arriving on Christmas Eve. Throughout the five hour drive from Cannes, I stressed about finding a tree and decorations to make the holiday perfect. To my utter AMAZEMENT, the Loft had been fully decorated beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you so much for all your very thoughtful and generous touches. As a seriously experienced traveller, I can assure you that exceptionally few hosts go to the same lengths as yourselves. You made our Christmas very SPECIAL and, dare I say, UNFORGETTABLE! One of the loveliest and peaceful lodgings of my two week 1000+km driving tour of South Western France. La Petite Maison Générille is nestled in verdant hills overlooking the most beautiful natural and historical settings in all of France. Though it is located in a hamlet enclave that feels worlds away, it is so conveniently located to access many châteaux, stunning river drives with views of the "falaises" - the ancient cliffs, and numerous restaurants found in charming villages that won't disappoint! Alll within a 10 to 20 minute drive. This is a place that you will want to return to again and again!
Plenty of room for the whole family. Lovely outdoor dining area with scenic pond. BBQ was great. The swimming pool area was beautiful, very clean and child friendly. There was enough seating in all spaces for the whole family. Thank you for a very enjoyable holiday.
Thank you for an amazing stay again. I have really enjoyed playing in the garden when it was a lovely day. On one of the days, I even went into the pool when the water was 17 degrees! Sam has become Mack's best friend!
Perfect! Cottage du Jardin is beautiful with real attention to detail and the pool is amazing! It was lovely and quiet but close enough to everything we needed, lots of historic towns/villages with great markets to wander around and great chateaux! Would absolutely stay again, a lovely relaxing holiday.

Amazing château! Stunning weather! Five families came together from different places: Canada, Wales, England. We enjoyed ourselves and each other's company. We hope to come again to this lovely place with friendly spirits.
The host was great. She went out of her way to make us feel at home. The area is picturesque and great for exploring the wine region.
A very friendly welcome. The place is very quiet while allowing visits to tourist sites. The kitchen is very well equipped. We enjoyed discovering the family history (which manages the nearby Napoleon Museum).
We had a fantastic 2 week holiday in this beautiful house with amazing surroundings! We visited several picturesque villages. Spent some lovely days and evenings around the pool and BBQ's. Totally relaxing!

A welcoming house A welcoming house. Right on the water, it's a prime location.
Beautiful. We've really enjoyed staying at Le Bastion, it's beautiful and well- equipped. The games room, selection of DVDs and obviously the pool have been well-used during our stay. We definitely recommend a trip to St.Emilion and a ride on the Petit Train - although go early as the car park was rammed when we left in the early afternoon.
Beautiful and stunning quiet location. Super market and local markets close by.
