This is certainly the most tranquil villa I have ever stayed in. The pool and garden are quite lovely. Very hard to pull ourselves away. The area is wonderful. Finally I understand why so many people relocate to the Languedoc-Roussillon.
On our first house hunting trip we could not have me more friendly and welcoming people than you. La Jolie Vue does not only offer a magnificent view on the rolling hills, it was restored with much care and love !we thank you for your outstanding hospitality dare we say friendship. Herman will pick up the guitar again and hopefully we will find time to make music together soon.

We were a group of nine friends and spent 4 nights at this gorgeous house. I don't know where to start, everything was just perfect: The pool, the view, the furnishing, the comfy beds... it's heaven on earth. Sandie and her husband are very lovely people and amazing hosts. I recommend booking the catering option - the food is great and the chocolate fudge cake is to die for. We will definitely come back.
The house is stunning and the pictures on line do not do it justice, we will be sorry to leave at the end of our stay.

Beautiful setting, fantastic space. Well kept both inside and out. Facilities were fantastic. Great pool - child friendly and garden toys were a perfect addition too. Lovely family holiday enjoyed by all ages.

The perfect holiday home. Beautifully furnished with a huge pool, deck and garden. It's spacious and airy and perfectly situated for a family holiday. Homps is a charming little town within easy reach of Carcassonne and Narbonne. We loved the pizzeria next door and the corner shop on the quayside selling fresh bread daily. We can't wait to go back!
Well, what can we say other than we have had a ball and our 'musicals' night with you both will enter the folklore of the families. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality, friendship and laughs - what a holiday! We've loved every minute of our holiday. The Loft is superb in every aspect. Wonderful house. Thank you for our wonderful stay. We were a large party of friends looking for somewhere scenic to spend a week together. We were excited when we booked but over the moon when we arrived to the beautiful house. The space works really well for a large group of people with multiple areas to comfortably sit and hang out. We had some delicious dinners and breakfasts (cooked in the well equipped kitchen and BBQ) out on the deck and the view made them even more magical. Even though the house is wonderful to relax and play in the pool in we found some lovely things to do in the surrounding area. There's a wonderful restaurant right by the house and kayaking and wake-boarding about an hour drive and some nice villages not far. Overall if you want a place that feels private and scenic and is still functional and comfortable then this an ideal place. We hope to come back soon!
Fabulous home in a beautiful location This was easily one of the best holidays we have had. The house itself is beautiful, it's been refurbished to a high standard from the waterfall showers in the high spec bathrooms to the large range in the kitchen to the cosy decorating in the bedrooms. The back garden has a lovely private in ground pool to cool off in and the surrounding patio has loungers to sunbathe in and is surrounded by pretty landscaping. There are endless beaches and historic towns to visit within short driving distance but you will be equally as content not leaving the house. The village is lovely, it has a couple of pubs and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk from the house, along with boulangeries, a butchers, green grocers and a supermarket. Markets every other day in the square. The house is within a stones throw of it all which we found so handy. Terry was always available should you need any assistance and was very thoughtful and considerate, as was his housekeeper agent Paul. I can't say enough about this property, it was fabulous in every way!
We have recently returned from our wonderful trip to Dordogne which we thoroughly enjoyed. Sia and Paul were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Maison Montratier was a beautiful place to stay when visiting this wonderful part of the world. We would highly recommend this home and area to our family and friends.
We have just returned from our holiday at your property which we all thoroughly enjoyed. I wanted to write to give feedback on our stay as I understand we were the first guests at the property. It was was the exact property we were looking for, in a quiet rural setting with the farm next door and the property itself offered everything we needed. The pool area was particularly well configured, safe for children and practical. It was so relaxing and particularly for my brother who enjoyed three days with us during the break of his six month tour in Afghanistan. It was so perfect we are very tempted to book it again for next year. Please pass our thanks on to all the owners for arranging the child facilities and to Gary and Louise who kept the pool immaculately.

We have had a wonderfully relaxing holiday in this beautiful house in divine location. The garden is filled with wildlife and we've enjoyed many an hour listening to the birds and watching the bumblebees and butterflies. My recommendation would be to sit back, relax and just take it all in.

We've had a great time and we’ve especially enjoyed the pool, as the temperature has barely dropped below 30°C day or night for the week due to the canicule. Our favorites: Best boulangerie: Andralie in Monflanquin, just beyond the Gendarmerie on the road to Villeneuve. There is an Auchan hypermarket just beyond on the same road. Best market: (Sunday) Issigeac. Best night for: Sarlat (Wednesday's), Le Bugue also good (Tuesday's). Best for a visit and potter: Monpazier – old, beautiful and floral. Lots of artisan shops and a long fort (Château Biron). Also, fabulous marché nocturne in Tournon d’Agenais on Friday. We ate from (Gyp?) and enjoyed watching Olympics in cool shady areas.

An absolute treasure of a place to stay with attentive hosts making sure our trip was comfortable and stress free. It's a home from home with the added delight of the sun, relaxing pool and sitting out of an evening with friends and wine. Lovely house, fab pool and great location! First time to Sarlat and lots to see and do. House is lovely, walking distance to the centre of Sarlat. The pool is amazing and much needed in 35°c heat. Would definitely recommend.
Best villa we have stayed in during 10 years of staying in France for holidays. Extremely well-equipped, great setting and fantastic views.
I cannot say how much I love this amazing old stone farmhouse; it has been so immaculately restored and is both stylish and supremely comfortable. The gardens are beautiful (what a fantastic collection of Salvias) and the infinity pool, with its view over the surrounding countryside, is a dream ( both for proper swimming of lengths and for sunbathing). I could spend all day here. It is lovely to have a choice of outdoor eating areas for long lunches or relaxing dinners. I love the fact the there are lots of delightful historic Bastide towns within easy driving distance, both for historical sightseeing , fabulous food markets and outstanding restaurants (Auberge Le Prieure at Moirax being my personal favourite !) I have visited the house three times now and each visit has been magic.
We have enjoyed several wonderful visits to this most delightful property set in bucolic rolling countryside. The house is elegant and extremely comfortable, giving maximal privacy inside and out so that guests can enjoy the peace, whether swimming in the lovely pool, or just relaxing in shade or sun. There is also a lovely terrace for al fresco dining and a fabulous collection of books. The creation of the gardens is masterful . We loved the nearby market in Condom and the creamy stone architecture of the area.
Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your lovely villa. The elegant surroundings of Baleyssagues helped made our holiday here in Duras very relaxing. The hillside settings was the perfect back for to stunning sunsets, sunrises and shooting stars. It was a shame to leave...
