Magical, inviting, soothing, AMAZING! The villa was truly magical, while also invoking a sense of home. The community areas are large enough that you never feel crowded and there are several places to "hide" within the property for true soul searching/peace with a magnificent view at every turn. Very well maintained and quaint restaurants/shops just a short walk away, but not too close(you still feel tucked away). HIGHLY recommend!!
We had a wonderful time thank you - it was our second visit: the house is great and we love the location. Ali was particularly helpful with restaurant recommendations and places to go too.
A house where you feel absolutely at home! Fully and tastefully furnished in a beautiful environment. Visited many places, recommendations are: the caves of Limousis , city of Carcassonne and the suspension bridge in Mazamet . The weekly market in Olonzac , wonderful! Then in the evening on the beautiful terrace enjoying the view of the Pyrenees with snow on the peaks and the children in the pool. Highly recommended, we will definitely go back ! We are jealous of your house!
Villa du Château was an excellent property, very central to the village. It was well organised, with great bedrooms and linen, and the kitchen was well stocked with every cooking utensil you could need. The pool was great and very private. Claire, the owner, was on site to greet us, which was lovely. We would highly recommend a holiday here.
Maison Forgeron is a fantastic house, four large bedrooms with bathrooms, plenty of living space, lovely garden with a great pool. It is decorated to a very high standard and extremely well equipped. In all, a perfect destination for a gathering of families.

Spent a weekend here in September 2023. The domaine has been very skilfully and tastefully converted into a very luxurious residence with swimming pool! The overwhelming tranquillity, the beautiful gites, the stunning surroundings combined with the care of the perfect hosts ensures that you can completely unwind and enjoy to the max! You will want to come back here again and again!
Loved the location and the winding lane down to the property. Arrived to find a hidden and very private garden that was wonderfully lit at night and with a beautiful pool. Total silence and never saw or heard another person in the week we were there. If you’re looking for a quiet week away from the hassles of a hectic world, then this is the place for you!
Really enjoyed our week staying in your lovely home. Setting beautiful. Countryside we managed to see some lovely deer and especially enjoyed the humming birds -so tiny. We managed to explore the local markets and some towns. The children loved the pool. Many thanks for everything.

I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Rusty Shears with friends. The hosts Kirstie and Russell have thought of everything and are on hand if you need anything at all. Beautiful decor, spacious living area and bedrooms. Comfortable beds and powerful showers. The patio and outdoor area is also lovely with great views across surrounding land. The gite is in a lovely peaceful location, but close to historic towns if you like to explore. We also went on a fantastic local wine tasting experience recommended by Russell.
We had a lovely weeks break at this beautiful house in this lovely old historic town. The food was lovely, the beach 20 minutes away was nice and quiet and our children absolutely loved it there as well as enjoying the lovely and very warm pool! The house itself caters for all your needs. A perfect week away at a beautiful house in the perfect location for you to enjoy all the area has to offer.

After many weeks of uncertainty, our decision to drive down to the Loft du Vigneron has been vindicated by a superb week. Lovely spacious house. We loved staying here! The rooms were lovely and spacious and the bed was big and comfortable :-) The location was really good to. We enjoyed going down to the riverside cafe, kayaking on the river, cycling, sightseeing, eating! We would definitely come back.

A very friendly welcome. The place is very quiet while allowing visits to tourist sites. The kitchen is very well equipped. We enjoyed discovering the family history (which manages the nearby Napoleon Museum).
We have loved our stay here! Fantastic weather, relaxing days and memorable meals by the pool! Our boys enjoyed swimming in the beautiful pool! After 8 weeks away it was great to have space - we would love to visit again someday!
A very tranquil spot, with everything we could possibly need. In the 30 or so years we have been coming to France for our holidays I don't think we have stayed in a more lovely house. We have enjoyed our stay immensely, whether lying by the pool or venturing out further to the beaches or the Verden Gorges, all wonderful. Villa du Château exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, and Claire’s warm hospitality made us feel at home straight away. What makes this place truly unique is the perfect balance it offers. You wake up to breathtaking countryside views, complete peace and quiet, yet within just a couple of minutes’ walk you’re in the heart of Duras, with its castle, cafés, restaurants, markets and local shops. The house itself is absolutely stunning—beautifully restored, full of character, incredibly spacious and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Whether you’re relaxing by the private pool, enjoying long meals in the outdoor kitchen, watching the sunset from the terrace, or gathering with family and friends in one of the many living areas, every space invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. We were a multi-generational group, and everyone had an amazing time. Adults loved the peaceful setting and the nearby wineries and restaurants, teenagers enjoyed the lively atmosphere in the village, and the children had endless fun between the pool, the gardens and exploring the château. It is rare to find a property that is both so tranquil and so close to everything. Whether you’re looking to relax, explore, celebrate with family, or simply experience the charm of southwest France, Villa du Château is the perfect place. Without a doubt, one of the finest holiday homes we’ve ever stayed in—and somewhere we would return to in a heartbeat.
What a wonderful place to come to after a long and arduous journey! Beautifully appointed property. Stylishly decorated and super comfortable for all 8 of us staying. The village was beautiful and peaceful. We loved the restaurant and its resident chickens! Many thanks for a wonderful holiday.
Another amazing stay at Maison Baleyssagues where we were very warmly hosted by Frédéric and his team. Such a peaceful location, sitting proudly on the hill top with panaramic views. Very spacious gardens topped with a beautiful pool and it’s own water fountain. Inside the villa nothing is left to chance with a fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable bedrooms. Looking at the pictures only tell half the story, it’s a superb place, if you don’t book early you’ll miss your chance as this place is always full, I wonder why?
The gîte located in a beautiful part of unspoilt France, great for exploring near by villages / towns holding day and evening markets, driving through vineyards, so peaceful and yet great roads to explore Sarlat, Domme and others alongside Dordogne river. The gîte is extremely well equipped, downstairs is like home from home. Outside is delightful, pool idyllic with a selection of seating areas in and out of shade, the outside cooking area was the 'icing on the cake'. The owners are wonderful hosts.
Super stay, so much to see in the area. Lovely comfortable cottage, a home from home. The pool was a real treat and saw deers and cows around the grounds. Julian and Pascale are so lovely and it has been a pleasure to meet them. Favourite Moment: Saint Emilion, relaxing by the pool. Places We Recommend: Brantôme.
