We all had a lovely time at Domaine des Volets. We would certainly recommend this property to others.
What a fantastic house and grounds. We had great plans for visiting places and doing things with the grandchildren, but they indulged in endless games around the grounds, including the croquet and of course the pool. Croquet from 7.30 to 15.00 meant a wonderful time, so many, many thanks for letting us stay in your home.
This was our fourth stay in a villa in Languedoc, Occitanie… we all agreed that this was the best villa and location.
We loved the location and house. Very large and comfortable with nice dining area and amazing pool, well secured with electric cover. Very calm area. Lots of things to do and discover. We will come back again.
We had a great time here for 2 weeks with the family. The house is well equipped and the family really enjoyed the pool.

What a wonderful week! The villa is full of elegant and eclectic touches and the outside areas are divine. The pool is just perfect and the shade was needed this week when it was very hot (but not as hot as back home - thank goodness!) Beziers is lovely and there are plenty of places to visit near by. Philippe - you were a wonderful host providing recommendations when asked and keeping the pool sparkling clean. The treats you delivered were fabulous as was the trip you organised to Saint Chinian. A stay in immaculate cottage with small front garden and very large pool adjoining the owners beautiful historic house. Charming hosts, very helpful when needed, otherwise considerately discreet. Lovely area with lots to do and visit. Would certainly recommend it for a relaxing holiday.

Villa Funel was spotless, the kitchen was well equipped, the beds comfortable and the whole place was light and airy. The DVD player and the large supply of films was great for late viewing. The pool area and garden were a delight. We had a lovely relaxing time. We will certainly return.

The location was perfect, offering peaceful surroundings while being close to local attractions, restaurants and shops. Loved Saint-Émilion, parked easily and not too busy. The house worked very well for our 3-generation family of 5 adults and 2 children. The bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the lounge area is capacious, with a good tv and sound system. All the windows are protected by screens to keep the mosquitoes out. At the back of the house is a useful room with a washing machine and a large outside clothes line. The pool was excellent. The adults used it to cool down, the children played safely and grew in confidence in the water (with the reassurance of a pool alarm.) We had a 2-year-old with us, who mostly paddled in the shallow section. Shade was always available somewhere in the garden, either from trees or the canopy on the sun terrace. The garden is totally private, with a wooded hill to the left. We ate outside in the evenings, using spray and candles to repel the mosquitoes which seemed to be attracted to pale English people. The villa is very well located for visiting Cassis, Marseille and Aix. We also travelled to Arles, Avignon, Les Baux and Nice. The lake at Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon provided a swimming opportunity and some of us visited the waterfall at Sillans-la-Cascade near the beautiful village of Cotignac. We can recommend a boat trip to see the Calanques from the harbour in Cassis and La Ciotat is lovely. We mostly used a supermarket 10 minutes away by car in Greasque, which also has a good boulangerie. We found excellent cafes in Fuveau (Caribou) and La Bouillabaisse (The Coffee House). Aubagne has a large ‘out-of-town’ complex with a massive Auchan and a range of chain restaurants. We found a very good pizza van in Gréasque (although they do move around so Google Maps was not reliable). We were welcomed on arrival by Juliette, who also returned to clean the pool half way through our stay and to collect the keys when we left. She was very helpful in recommending places to visit.
Our visit exceeded all our expectations. We came to this beautiful villa for a family reunion and a very special 60th birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the charm, beauty and atmosphere of this property. The villa is absolutely stunning with plenty of space for everyone to relax, socialise and enjoy quality family time together. The surroundings are breathtaking and all of us made memories to last lifetime. We will treasure this for years to come. If you would have us again, then we will be back. Michelle attended to our every need promptly, respectfully and friendly. Thank you so very much. I do feel a little sad to leave….

Utterly charming property with wonderful views across the landscape. The property has a tasteful appearance and matched by comfortable furnishings and very well appointed. The swimming pool terrace is a superb elevated location from which to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the surrounding villages. The rooms are all a good size as are the unspoilt and private gardens, which are well stocked and quite attractive. We had a superb vacation with friends and we would certainly return again in the future. The local villages are blessed with an array of shops selling good quality local produce, as well as a selection of restaurants, bars, café s etc and we would recommend some of the local vineyards for excellent Rose du Provence wines. Highly recommended.
This is our 3rd visit and yet again we have had a lovely time. Weather a little more energetic than previously but still lovely and warm. So relaxing, peaceful and calm, with the advantage of Poitiers to explore and the fantastic bakeries nearby. Thank you so much again.

Excellent. To be recommended without moderation. Charming, welcoming hosts. Caretaker's house renovated in the style of the building, with taste and attention to detail. Very clean. Superb swimming pool in a beautiful wooded and very well maintained park. Very quiet environment. Pleasant local restaurants... ideally placed for visiting Montignac, Sarlat, the eyzies, the Rosue Gageac and other tourist sites. To recommend and congratulate Caterina and Steve for the renovation of this magnificent property.

We would like to thank you with all our warmth for letting us inhabit your wonderful house for a whole previous week. The grounds and the pool are wonderful and we have spent many happy hours wandering, picking blackberries', sunbathing, swimming, talking, reading ... the house worked its magic again!
We are all having the most idyllic time here in your beautiful home - it is just perfect and so beautifully and tastefully presented - the weather is incredible and the pool in full use - we have visited Ilsle sur la Sourgue, Châteauneuf du Pap and the surrounding villages which are all charming - so all very well!
The castle exceeded all our expectations from the very first glimpse. As a family celebration of 18 people spread over 3 generations with ages ranging from 9 to 74 years, there is more than enough for everyone to do… though the pool was such a massive hit, we didn’t stray too far!! Nicky and Richard were available to answer any questions or offer advice. The private caterers they suggested for a special celebration were totally amazing. The rooms, the views (oh, those views!), the outdoor seating areas dotted around allowed for quiet reflections too. From the bbq, the fire pit, the sports hall with activities ranging from pool/table tennis/darts/ boxing bag, weights (for those inclined!), table football/badminton and more, the numerous bikes which some used to cycle the 12 minutes to the bakery for morning croissants and baguettes, to the well equipped kitchen and multiple fridges, washing machine, the magical lighting in the evening, this gem will not disappoint. It really is the epitome of a fairytale château. Such a memorable week. Well done to Nicky and Richard.
The most charming, stylish château which is full of character, lovely art and enormous beds! There is a room for every mood, including a club (!) a billiards room and the most beautiful drawing room. The best equipped kitchen we have ever stayed in, a wonderful pool, tennis court, croquet, pétanque… it's impossible to be bored here! The house strikes the perfect balance between being impressive yet still a home. There are lots of different seating options for eating but we highly recommend dinner at the back of the house for the incredible sunsets. We couldn't have loved our stay more and had booked our return visit by day two!
