What an amazing chateau you have, breathtaking; everything that we needed and more. We have enjoyed 1 wonderful week, wish it could have been more. Julie, Paul and Steven - you have been fantastic, always on hand for advice and support and ideas. Especially enjoyed our ‘feast’ in the Dining Room celebrating Alan’s 70th birthday with laughter and some lovely memories that will stay with us all forever. Delightful stay in vineyard in Provence. Les Trois Maisons de Valescure was superb, situated up a track and literally miles from anywhere in the glorious vineyards, with delightful far-ranging views. Equipped to an extremely high standard with every room having an ensuite. The bedrooms were large, well-furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen and living space was ideal for our family of 21 which ranged from 10 months to 70+ years old. The swimming pool was completely safe and the games equipment etc. very useful. Thomas who helped us with our booking was unfaillingly helpful and dealt with all our queries really efficiently. Nicolas was charming too and so patient with every request we made. He also gave us an excellent tour of the winery. We were delighted by him. We would unreservedly recommend Valsecure hamlet to any family who want a holiday in a beautiful and quiet area of Provence.
We have had a wonderful time in this super villa. Very relaxing. Collioure is still as pretty as ever, we had our honeymoon here 20 years ago!

We have had an amazing time and are very sad to have to leave! We have loved our time lazing by the pool and leaving all the stresses of our normal lives far behind. The owners have been perfect hosts. and the house has had everything that we needed. We really enjoyed visiting this part of France for the first time and would recommend all the beautiful Bastide villages. Hopefully it won't be too long before we can come back!
The chteau is beautiful. Great house for our group of 10 adults and 8 children. lots of room for all of us to be comfortable. Amazing pool and lovely grounds. Kitchen is well equipped.. It is an old property and is well lived in but that isn’t a problem.
The most perfect location for a peaceful and restorative family holiday! Children and adults alike kept entertained by the games room, toys, amazing pool ... we so appreciated how well-equipped and thoughtfully designed the house is - it became a running joke of "is there anything this house doesn't have?!"
On our bucket list we wrote a holiday with the whole family consisting of 13 people. We chose to stay at the Bastide which appeared a perfect choice. We had the space we needed, plenty of rooms, bathrooms and toilets. Equipment of the villa was complete. We had a few issues but Thomas, our host solved everything asap. As kids, teenagers and adults we all enjoyed the stay as we had plenty of possibilities next to the outstanding pool of the house. Hiking in the environment, fishing in the lake nearby, pool table, soccer table, table tennis. And of course we used the BBQs a lot while enjoying the wonderful wines of the domaine. Thank you Thomas for your effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Highly recommended as a valuable investment in an unforgettable holiday.
We found the property by chance a few years ago and have been back twice since and will be returning with our 4 and 6 year old kids again this July! We have come to think of it as our French home away from home. The house is beautifully located and the interior and exterior space makes for a fabulous family vacation. The pool on the lower terrace gives enough separation that you can keep the kids safely away and the pool alarm adds that extra level of comfort. The owners continue to maintain and upgrade the property well and the new BBQ area on the terrace gets used daily for those lunch and evening meals overlooking the valley. The short stroll to town is easy and avoids having to worry about cars and parking, although a glass or two of Provence wine helps with the walk back up the hill afterwards which could be a challenge for those less mobile. Most hire cars will fit up the lane to the house (we had a Volvo C90 last year and were fine) but if you have a very large people carrier it can get a little narrow to maneuver round the corner at the bottom. The house is perfect for one or two families to enjoy a wonderful escape.
Peaceful French retreat. Lovely family stay here with great pool and Al fresco dining area for the summer months. Enjoyed being out in the countryside with local town and large supermarkets just a short drive away. Would certainly stay again.
Thank goodness we found this last minute! What a find... We were the first renters in this lovely house - thank you for a wonderful week. It's like staying in a chic boutique hotel, but you have the whole place to yourself ! Everything is fabulous, the interior design and the garden and pool area. We found it hard to drag ourselves away from the pool and the little ones loved the designated play area. And we are now professional boules players... and pastis drinkers. Thanks to Mark and Gary for making our week so special.
We enjoyed a wonderful 'Spring break at Villa Floriana! The villa has been perfect for our family. We enjoyed the pool and grounds which were perfect for our 4 year old to explore. Everything was as expected and did not disappoint. We spent days in Port Grimaud, Saint-Topez. We would recommend this place to family and friends. We plan to return!
We had a great time at Le Paradis Secret. Very clean, great location and made to feel welcome.
It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. What a fabulous week! We wanted a cosy bolthole as a base to explore the Lot Valley and were not disappointed by Le Petit Pigeonnier du Lot. The open-plan ground floor was cool in the midday heat and comfortable in the evenings. Good sized dining space, lounge area and sunken kitchen with a large table. We had everything we needed. Upstairs the master bedroom was spacious and dual aspect with a large ensuite. The two twin rooms were comfortable and personal. Everything was spotlessly clean and in excellent condition, while still being welcoming and personal. The outside space was of an equally high standard. A patio area for dining al fresco, bbq and a beautiful pool area, set in an established garden of trees and shrubs. It was a perfect place to while away the day. The pool was a very comfortable 29 degrees c and maintained by the host, Debbie, so we didn't have to do any more than enjoy it! Debbie was an excellent and considerate host. We were greeted on arrival with cool drinks and a warm welcome and she was helpful and kind throughout the visit, arranging a few restaurant bookings and leaving gifts of fruit and vegetables from the property at our doorstep. Debbie was particularly lovely to our teenage daughter who was enamoured by the house cats. The surrounding area was beautiful, with lots to do and we loved every minute of exploring it, but it was always nice to come 'home' to Carcavi.
Thank you for a truly fabulous week at Mas de Clouze. The accommodation, pool and grounds were just perfect and the owners so friendly and helpful. We didn’t want to return home and will be back next year.
Perfect romantic getaway. Maison Meunier is set in the beautiful grounds, next to the old mill, overlooking the lake. The cottage is beautifully furnished and has its own patio and pool. The facilities are superb, the grounds are well manicured, lovely for walks and there is a fabulous games room where you can meet up with other guests for a drink and a chat and maybe a game of pool. A stroll into the village to sample the local fair is a must, the villagers made us very welcome. There are a number of local market towns (bastides) and châteaux close by including Monpazier a lively bastide with many shops and restaurants to enjoy. The owners were really helpful with advice on where to go and what to do, they couldn't do enough for us. Fabulous holiday.
The villa was a great place to stay. We have been renting villas for nearly 20 years now and this is the first time ever that we didn't use a car. So near the airport, so near shops, restaurants, the sea, the train station for days out to Nice and Antibes. And the villa itself was lovely - it was more spacious than we expected. Moreover at 30 degrees the pool was marvellous. Only complaint - a week was too short!
We have all enjoyed a wonderful time in this delightful corner of Provence with its magnificent scenery and warm hospitality.
We have absolutely loved staying here! We have enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, laying by the pool and preparing meals together. Chef Arnaud was wonderful and we highly recommend him. We visited Duras, Villeneuve-sur-Lot and Saint-Émilion, Sainte-Foy, Bordeaux and Cap Ferret. Coming back home here at the of the day always felt like home and we hope to visit again. This is our 10 years anniversary and this home was great vacation for a special trip together. Thank you for sharing your house.
Extremely comfortable and stylish accommodation in renovated old buildings. Beautiful pool area a short walk from self-catering accommodation. Very quiet, perfect for families and couples. A short walk to Montsoreau for morning baguette and a small grocery. This place has everything; comfortable beds, good Wi-Fi and kitchen facilities. Great location in the Loire Valley for sightseeing or relaxing beside the pool.
We had a lovely holiday here ! The place was beautifully quiet and well-equipped. Pau is definitely worth a visit with wonderful restaurants. We had a great stay and are heading home fully recharged.
