From the garden the mountain and surrounding vine yards are blindingly beautiful, the day beds under the fig tree was my favourite place over looking the pool and could spend all day there. The whole house is fantastic and the interior also, I absolutely loved it, thank you for these two great weeks,
We had a fantastic week in Sarlat and around. The perfect base for a family holiday. We loved the gardens as Eyrignac and Marqueyssac in particular but there was so much to do and see here The Bistro De L’Octroi across the road is fantastic. Thanks Jackie and Geoff.
This property is so beautiful you may not want to venture out, but if you do there are great restaurants and bars nearby as well as lovely walks and biking trails. The rooms are very comfortable, all en-suite and everything you could wish for is provided. The huge swimming pool / pool house / relaxing / eating and barbecue areas mean that you can be outside all the time but the gorgeous well equipped kitchen and indoor rooms offer a cool alternative. Cant wait to go back!

This was a great house for a family break... perfect for the adults and small children in our party. We loved the peaceful location with local wildlife... great views and birdwatching! House comfortable and very well equipped kitchen for the enthusiastic cooks! Plenty nice outside sitting areas... and a fabulous pool. We did not explore much of the local area but would very much recommend Monpazier which was charming.
We've had a wonderful week, enjoyed by all. We thought the tapas evening with Emma was great fun and well worth it, she's very knowledgable. We ended the week with lunch at Domaine Gayda, a great recommendation. We were sad to leave such a lovely home which exceeded our expectations and I would love to think that one day we could return. The property is set in lovely grounds; away from it all yet close to the bastide towns of Monpazier and Villereal. We particularly enjoyed the pool area, which is well kept and maintained on a regular basis by one of the locals. The house is comfortable and equipped with everything you need.
We adore this house - it is our third visit this year! The atmosphere here is so conducive to being happy and relaxed. And now to expose the biggest secret of the year - Christmas at Orchard Farmhouse has been a magical experience. The Baquiés are the most agreeable hosts in the world.

We spent a wonderful holiday in Bessan and in your splendid house. We have been to the local market in Bessan. Pézenas is superb, we tasted wine at the Domaine Pal Mas and pancakes at La Riposte in Agde - both worth a visit. The children would have enjoyed the pool until midnight if only we had allowed them. We are very sad to leave and would be happy to come back.

Everything you could ask for - plenty of space, a well equipped home, total privacy. Very relaxing, enjoyed the river swimming at Ribeaut and the lovely village of Lagrasse. Plenty of bread from the local shops. What a wonderful location, with the countryside of the Corbières on the doorstep. So many places to see and do, we loved all of it.
Just a note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at the Villa Montplaisir. This is a lovely villa in a nice location. The owner could not have been more helpful and we were provided with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
Your house has been such a beautiful place to spend a week of our holiday. We've loved every minute - so much so that we didn't go far from Le Chambarru. The attention to detail was fantastic - from the decor to the 'welcome basket' to our name on the gate. The only thing missing was that we only stayed for 7 nights. If you’re looking for a beautiful respite from the everyday grind, look no further than Nerige. What a tranquil, pristine and magical place. The Pyrenees mountains rise across the valleys of vineyards and the air is clear and crisp. The property itself is massive, yet so comfortable and cozy. The rooms are decorated with the highest quality linens and furniture. Sandie is a true old-school host. She greeted us in person, showed us all the highlights of the property, prepared an amazing meal for our arrival and stocked the pantry so we had breakfast in the morning. Traveling with 2 small children and 2 older parents... we were exhausted from our trip... and this was exactly what we needed! She also arranged for a wonderful massage therapist to come to Nérige the next morning to kick off our relaxation! This is how to travel and travel well. This is how to see the world. Don’t second guess this place. Book now before the whole world finds out about this magical gem!
We feel very fortunate to have enjoyed our third visit to the lovely Loft du Vigneron! It has been great to see the Minervois region in a different season. As always, we have marvelled at all you are doing next door and can't wait to see the end result. Thank you for your company, generosity and friendship.
Have had a great two weeks here in your wonderful house. Very spacious and well-appointed, tasteful and comfortable. Boys have thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We have appreciated tranquility and privacy. We have enjoyed exploring the area and sampling the local cuisine. Restaurant recommendations include Hotel-Restaurant du Château in Campagne, Auberge Médiévale Audrix and for rustic but delicious farmhouse cuisine - Auberge Rebeyrotte near Pressigirac Vicq. I found peace in both the house and the surrounding area. The house itself felt like home. And the town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, just a short walk / bike ride away was charming and welcoming, to say the least. Located centrally, I found that the entire South of France was accessible, though I never wanted to leave lovely Mas de Pitou. I only wish I could have stayed longer.
What can I say, we’ve had the loveliest fortnight at Maison Charvin. Just the loveliest house, perfectly equipped, a cook’s heaven. Downside? Almost none. Biting insects were a bit of an issue, but we found Picosa insect repellent from the Intermarché in Capendu worked really well. (Get the one with “tiger mosquito” on the label). Vins de Dagne was great for dinner. Service a bit slow on our first visit but a fabulous last-night meal on our final night. Local supermarket in the village was closed during our stay, but the Intermarché in Capendu is only 10-15 minutes and there’s a nice baker in Lagrasse. (Could also order from Vins de Dagne, but we never really got our act together). We’d love to return, à bientôt!
We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week holiday in France. We cannot recommend the property highly enough. It is very well equipped, the pool always warm and cleaned daily, in a great location and Jean, Martin and of course Tanner the dog so welcoming and helpful. This was our second time and already planning when we can return!
