Another amazing stay at Maison Baleyssagues where we were very warmly hosted by Frédéric and his team. Such a peaceful location, sitting proudly on the hill top with panaramic views. Very spacious gardens topped with a beautiful pool and it’s own water fountain. Inside the villa nothing is left to chance with a fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable bedrooms. Looking at the pictures only tell half the story, it’s a superb place, if you don’t book early you’ll miss your chance as this place is always full, I wonder why?
Lovely stay, house in great location. Enjoyed Palm Beach Club at Les Vagues. Altogether a great week.
Well, what can we say other than we have had a ball and our 'musicals' night with you both will enter the folklore of the families. We are now travelling to the Loire after spending a lovely week at Les Faures. After an initial couple of cloudy days, the weather turned out to be beautiful. We very much enjoyed exploring the area. We went canoeing at Pessac and went to the beautiful Château de Carbonneau. We also really enjoyed Le Gensake. Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely house.
We just spent the most incredible week at Villa du Château as a family of thirteen—seven adults and six children. This outstanding property exceeded all our expectations; we truly could not have asked for more. Before we arrived, Claire went above and beyond, answering our questions, providing helpful information, and connecting us with local services that made our stay even more special. She gave us the warmest of welcomes and were always on hand to answer any questions throughout our stay. The views in every direction were breathtaking, and the interior was equally beautiful. All amenities were within walking distance, including a handful of great cafés, bars, and convenience stores. We had the best family holiday in the most exquisite surroundings. The children absolutely loved feeling like princes and princesses beneath the illuminated castle. I highly recommend staying at Villa du Château—it’s exactly as advertised, and you won’t be disappointed. We loved it and will definitely return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Pézenas. The villa was superb, well maintained, modern with all up to date appliances. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow but this in no way affected our enjoyment of the holiday. The town was just as we imagined it to be, typically French with an attractive historic centre. Good restaurants, shops and bars all within easy walking distance.
We had a fantastic week: the villa was superb and very functional. We who cook a lot loved the kitchen, extremely well equipped, a delight. The property is perfectly maintained and tastefully decorated. Special mention for the caretaker, available and responsive, a pearl. We rent every year in the area, we will be back! We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Sauveterre-la-Lémance and cannot recommend this villa highly enough. Our group consisted of eight people across three generations, and the villa catered perfectly for everyone. There was plenty of space to spend quality time together while also allowing each family member to enjoy their own space when they wanted to relax. It really was the ideal setting for a multi-generational family holiday. Our hosts were exceptional. They were incredibly warm, welcoming, and accommodating from the moment we arrived, always happy to offer help, local recommendations, or advice whenever we needed it. Their hospitality genuinely made us feel at home and added to what was already a fantastic experience. We were fortunate to have fantastic weather throughout our stay, allowing us to make full use of the excellent facilities. The villa exceeded our expectations and was exactly as shown in the Oliver's Travels photographs. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday.

Beautiful and Charming place to Stay. Wonderful service from the owner Linda who does everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. This beautiful rural chateau is steeped in history and has a very eclectic decor in a shabby-chic style which would suit a group of friends or family that love something a bit different.
Thoroughly enjoyable stay at your villa. Very convenient position and excellent information pack was very useful.

Thank you so very much Benjy, Kate and Issy for welcoming us to the property. We have had the most heavenly week here and we leave feeling thoroughly relaxed. The lands, vineyards and pool are all spectacular and a fabulous location for a group of friends. The weather has been glorious and to be honest, it has been quite difficult to drag ourselves away from the house and pool… However, we did venture to Fontevraud (which we loved), and we discovered a couple of the local markets. We were very grateful for the small touches that made our stay special – the beautiful turn of the winery, the supplies of food (and drinks!) and the comfy beds and copious linen and towels. We also enjoyed cooking on the Aga – risotto, roast chicken etc. Delicious food to accompany your STUNNING wine! We very much hope to return one day.
The most marvellous time Thank you so very much for letting us rent out your stunning house! We had the most marvellous time. Your furniture was so comfortable and I loved all of your paintings too - have made a few notes of some of the artists for my gallery here in Dublin! The kitchen too was so well equipped and it was great to have multiple indoor and outdoor areas for children and adults alike so that everyone had enough space and peace and quiet. Thanks too for the excellent local recommendations. You're so lucky to have lovely Patrick and Hotel de Commerce on your doorstep - many a fine lunch we had there, as well as excellent meals at La Baside in Barbotan les Thermes and simple pizza in the stunning square in La Bastide d'Armagnac.
One cannot believe it can look as the pictures... in fact it is better. Everything absolutely first class and in a great location. We traveled as a family and the place managed to be both romantic and perfect for children. Cannot recommend highly enough. Six stars.
Thank you for letting us stay at this lovely stylish villa, one of the best we have ever stayed at. So well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Nardia recommended ‘Le Grand Frais’ supermarket at Carcassonne where we were able to buy some wonderful fresh produce on arrival and which saw us through the week. An absolutely fantastic place! Our week went so incredibly quickly. It is our second time in the Carcassonne area, but still so much to do and see. This time we discovered the Gorges de Galamus and the labyrinths at Nebias. Amazing! Short treks around the beautiful Villelongue were also so nice. We loved the compost recycling bin at the end of the commune. Very green! Thanks to Mike for sorting the awning for us on a very windy Sunday. Hope to be back!

We have had the most lovely and relaxing time. The house and welcome has been brilliant, and we have to confess to not having explored enough — we were in need of a break and the house and environs were exactly what was needed. We did play a lot of tennis at the Gensac courts.
Beautiful, well equipped gite with a lovely outdoor space where we were able to use the plancha griddle to cook and enjoy meals outdoors. It was so nice to relax in the garden and use the outdoor pool. Central location which allowed us to visit many places in the region by car. Thank you Nicola and Gwen for your warm welcome and hospitality, and for the delicious meals we enjoyed on a couple of occasions with other guests staying in the b&b, enjoying a glass of good wine or two!

Fantastic 10 days at Maison Joutard. The highlights:- Fantastic welcome pack. House and garden perfect for our toddlers. Equipped with everything we needed. We visited Cognac, Bordeaux, Villefagnan. Cycling to the bakery in Verdille. Whole experience highly recommended.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, we couldn't believe the endless things to do for the children and us, we needn't have brought a thing. Great recipe books, wine and food recommendations. Pool, peace and tranquillity. Can't wait to return!
