Perfect little getaway. So pleased that we came to stay at Maison Meunier. The cottage was perfect for our family holiday with plenty of space for the four of us but still with that cosy feel. It was lovely to be able to come home after our exploring and relax with the kids by the pool in the afternoon sun. The location was great and we had more than enough options for places to go. Thanks for helping us create some great family memories.
We have had a very enjoyable fortnight in your beautiful house and gardens, despite the unfriendly weather. We go home feeling very relaxed. We loved our stay in your beautiful home and the solitude meant that the children and young were able to be as noisy as they liked. We managed Mummy with help from James and Toby. We brought the van to fit all the aids Mummy needs to make life easier. Our home is rambling with stone steps so she is used to being helped around. We enjoyed the pool and spent most of our time in the pool area. Living outdoors is part of the joy of our visiting France at this time of year. The weather was dry at least and when the sun came out it was an added bonus. We left Mummy, Pandora, Henry and Emilia to go canoeing from Brantôme to Bourdeilles which was lovely and great fun. There are enough places of interest within half an hour's drive to keep us entertained but enjoyed coming back to Malardier for our afternoon swims. Thank you for a lovely setting for our holiday.

I stayed in Château Bellevue with my family and some friends last Summer. It was magical, right from the moment we drove up the drive and I passed the swimming pool and saw the house, I couldn't wait to explore the château and its gardens. I stayed in one of the 'children's rooms' on the upper floor, which are beautiful rooms with lots of books to read. I spent my days playing with my friends in the grounds, we particularly liked laying in the shade under the old oak trees chatting and in the evening we loved playing one of the many of the board games. The beach, mountains and pretty little villages are close by and beautiful.
Just a note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at the Villa Montplaisir. This is a lovely villa in a nice location. The owner could not have been more helpful and we were provided with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
We’ve had an amazing two weeks at this gorgeous property. On arrival we have been overwhelmed by the beauty of the house. It has been lovingly designed to a very high standard and certainly has the “wow” factor on arrival. Frédéric and the staff were very helpful and made our stay very special. Lovely location with beautiful views in a quiet and peaceful setting. Fantastic facilities, the house had everything you needed and more, super swimming pool, lovely and warm, well maintained and enjoyed by all the family. Alan and Madeline were on hand to assist at all times, we wish them every happiness in their new life in France.
We've had a wonderful week, enjoyed by all. We thought the tapas evening with Emma was great fun and well worth it, she's very knowledgable. We ended the week with lunch at Domaine Gayda, a great recommendation. We were sad to leave such a lovely home which exceeded our expectations and I would love to think that one day we could return. This is the ideal destination for an outdoorsy type holiday. The walking is superb and the scenery is magnificent. It is, quite frankly, a bit of a wrench to be leaving.
We enjoyed every aspect of our stay here. The villa is light, airy and spacious. It was immaculately clean, comfortable, everything worked and there are beautiful views from the upstairs terrace. The garden is very attractive. We loved having four bathrooms. The booking process was easy and efficient. We were confident that if there had been a problem, Ian, the very pleasant property manager who lives nearby, would have quickly sorted it out. The newly installed Wi-Fi was very dependable. With the restaurants in the village and the beach not too far away we didn't need to travel very far from the house - besides, the garden and pool were too good to leave for long! There are also some lovely walks in the hills behind the villa. The heated pool was the icing on the cake as we could swim on the couple of cooler days too. Even my 85 year old mum went in. We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa and we would love to return.

Thank you so much for yet another fantastic vacation here at your lovely Camirout. This year the weather has been perfect so we really enjoyed our trips to Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, the caves and canoeing on the River Du Auemant-du-Dropt. We will luckily see each other again next year - only 50 weeks to go!

A fabulous property, everything you need in one place, especially the pool. A wonderful location and the local restaurant has been ideal.
An ideal place to spend a vacation with family or friends. The house is exposed in such a way that we have the sun all day with a view of the castle on one side and the valley on the other. The summer kitchen near the swimming pool allowed us to eat from morning to evening but we were also able to have breakfast in the courtyard with the rising sun and dinner on the terrace in the light of the setting sun. The house is very large and well equipped, the rooms are spacious and everything is tastefully decorated. We appreciated the proximity of the village, accessible on foot very quickly, but also discovering the region by car. A royal stay in a majestic place where we played the game of having an evening on the theme of “castle life”. It's your turn to play the squire.
