A very pleasant quiet house for a family stay. The children have enjoyed the very nice garden, the ball and racket games. The terrace is lovely for meals. The house is ideally designed for a quiet and serene indoor space. We enjoyed the excursions in the region and our tennis tournament.
This is our 3rd visit and yet again we have had a lovely time. Weather a little more energetic than previously but still lovely and warm. So relaxing, peaceful and calm, with the advantage of Poitiers to explore and the fantastic bakeries nearby. Thank you so much again.
Fabulous week learning about wine in an amazing setting. Manoir Lemance is the most wonderful, tranquil and stylish place I have stayed in France and I have stayed in many. The owners have taken great care and attention in restoring the beautiful buildings, choosing the internal furnishings and creating the amazing swimming pool and grounds. We were warmly welcomed and looked after really well all week. The local area is full of amazing villages, great vineyards and beautiful countryside. If you are looking for a very French holiday with the added support of English speaking hosts, in the most beautiful setting, then this is the place for you.
Fabulous house on the edge of the village with magical views and absolute peace and privacy. We were thrilled to see so much wildlife, so many wonderful birds, butterflies, red squirrel and deer around the house. We flew into Limoges which is a tiny and very easy airport to manage. Car hire is just outside the exit, the roads are blissfully empty and the drive to Lusignac was a pleasure. We couldn't have had a better week.
We have stayed now on five occasions and will return again. Accommodation has everything you could wish for in self-catering accommodation and the pool is superb. Lovely little villages to visit nearby as well as Nice, Cannes, Saint-Tropez and Monaco all within easy reach. Easy drive from Nice Airport to a very peaceful location.
Lovely stay, house in great location. Enjoyed Palm Beach Club at Les Vagues. Altogether a great week.
We have had a wonderful and memorable two weeks here. You both have been very helpful and thoughtful. Highlights for us were relaxing by the pool, the great markets at Cahors and Prayssac, the daily petit déjeuner at Chez Lajo and C. using Frans' smoker and BBQ! We are looking forward to returning!

We have had a wonderful week. The pool and garden are wonderful for the kids, whose week was made by a night swim! We have been to the rope climbing, canoeing and night market. The house really does have everything one could need or want. For the adults, the peace and calm and the location is brilliant. Merci!

From fresh pastries in the morning to a delicious meal at "Le Pourquoi Pas", you have gone above and beyond - and that, combined with the comforts and surroundings of the villa, is what has made this holiday so special. We all loved the comfort of the beds and quality of the linen, the faultless hot water supply and how clean the pool was. This villa really works, allowing us to have a stress-free holiday! We, two couples, stayed the last week of June and the first week of July in La Picholine. We found modern comfort in an authentic environment in the well-equipped holiday homes Maison Carrée and Joie de Vivre. You can rightly say that you enjoy life here. Privacy, beauty, friendliness, a lovely swimming pool, the beautifully maintained gardens... it all comes to you here. And what we also appreciated very much: we arrived in a house where the basic necessities were present (such as coffee, tea, herbs and olive oil) and a nice bottle of wine and delicious (home-made!) cake were ready for us, which made us feel really welcome. Moreover, the area is also very attractive. From the tranquility of the domaine you drive to the liveliness and versatility of Avignon and Villeneuve and for example to Orange. The markets are very charming in the smaller towns nearby and there is also no shortage of nice restaurants. We really had a wonderful time, certainly also because of the friendliness of the owners.

A real oasis in lively Sarlat. So well located. Walk everywhere. Farmer’s market. Restaurant. Gorgeous, bustling village. Great pool. Great garden. Comfortable. Jackie is very helpful and caring.

Perfect! Our stay in the L’Ancienne Etable was 5 star. Jane and Richard have thought of everything to make this the perfect pad for two. Peaceful and relaxing, we would highly recommend and hope to return again soon.
Our weeks stay at Les Marquises was exceptional, this is due to the skilful combination of old and new, colour and light, greenery and shadow combined in a tasteful and harmonious style that characterises the interior of the house and its domain. When you stay in such a place, even for only one week, a place that was restored, recreated and maintained with so much love, you can only love it back, the house, garden, the scenery creates a rare feeling of magic that will stay with us. We felt wonderful and grateful to be guests at the house. Thank you.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the friendly owners. The pool was heated to a perfect temperature and the pool area was superbly secluded. The well kept gardens boasted pétanque, badminton and croquet, with numerous named specimen trees, which offered sought after shady spots and always a place to see those sought after sunsets. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, local shops in villages are a short drive away with larger towns containing hyper markets around 20 minutes drive away. All in all a great house, pool and garden well located for the local sights and scenery of the Dordogne.

I just want to send you a quick message to say what a lovely holiday we are having in your charming house. It looked fabulous from the photos but in fact, on arrival it really surpassed our expectations. We really appreciate the beautiful environment and also the rare fact that it was very well stocked with all those things one normally needs to rush to the supermarket to buy: loo paper, soap, dishwasher tablets and the like. I just wanted to let you know what a lovely place this is and to say thank you.
We stayed from July 22 to 29, 2023 in Les Trois Maisons de Valescure. 4 generations, 19 people. Our stay was very pleasant, magnificent hikes, visits - Cotignac is a little marvel, like on the postcards - swimming pool, both logistically and environmentally. Perfect equipment for the twenty-somethings that we were. Thomas contributed to the success of our stay thanks to his attention and efficient responsiveness and excellent communication.
Thank you so much for letting us stay here. It is an amazing house. Me and Betsy really like the swimming. We have noticed the pond with crabs and frogs, also we saw 4 deers. The house is so big, we love, love, love our room.

We're sure you saw we were well and truly exhausted after a summer running events - the Loft was THE PERFECT ANTIDOTE! Unforgettable moments in the chalet. We came for a weekend with friends and each of us is unanimous: the quality of the accommodation, the care given to every detail and the kindness and responsiveness of our host convinced us all. The chalet was completely renovated by the host is a rare pearl as is the owner. We have created unforgettable memories and hope to be able to return as soon as possible. Thanks for everything.
