We had a wonderful family holiday at the domaine and wouldn't hesitate to recommend both the property and Pure France.com to friends and family who may be looking for accommodation in the region in future.
We had a wonderful October half term family holiday at Château Bellevue watching the Quicksilver and Roxy ProFrance surfing championships in Hossegor. The weather was still warm and in between the events we visited San Sebastian and loved the Old Town there with so many amazing tapas bars. At the end of the day, back at the château, it was great to curl up around the fire in the evening and plan the next days excursions.
Beautiful scenery, wonderful rooms and an awesome car show to boot! All excellent things to go with the wonderful community of kind and friendly people.
We are back from a great week in Maison Soulette in Thézan-les-Béziers. The house was just as pictured and described, perfect for our family. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, good kitchen and cosy sitting room. The terraces, the garden and the view were all beautiful. The weather was sunny and warm, so we spent many lazy days outside by the swimming pool. Our daughters made full use of the heated pool and had a lot of fun playing table tennis.
Our group rented Domaine du Château for a week, with five couples and seven children. The sprawling property accommodated our group and never once felt crowded. The house has been spectacularly remodeled recently, but maintains the charm of a centuries old villa. Stephen and Lilly are the most wonderful hosts, very welcoming and kind. The hosts lives in a house that is tucked away adjacent to Domaine du Château and are as available or as scarce as you would like them to be. It would be a shame to visit the property and miss out on their wonderful cooking (for a very reasonable fee), Lilly is a particularly accomplished pastry chef. Stephen is a wine instructor with passion for Burgundy and offered a fantastic wine tasting, catered to our tastes. All amenities you could imagine are offered, but with no pressure and all the flexibility you could hope for. I can't recommend this property enough, I certainly hope I am able to visit again and again!
We travelled to this beautiful villa with friends for 6 nights and our stay was truly wonderful. We were fortunate with the weather most days so managed to enjoy some of the many amenities the villa has to offer including swimming and sunbathing by the pool, playing croquet and pétanque! We also ate outside on the veranda every day, enjoying the BBQ and the good weather. The villa had so much to offer. We had two days when the weather was not so good and were kept busy by the games rooms downstairs – we made great use of the pool table and projector for playing music, movies and watching sports, it really was a lifesaver on one particularly cloudy day. On arrival the villa was clean and the villa handbook was most helpful to support us settling in, additionally the host was quick to respond and always willing to help with our queries. The villa offers great privacy with peaceful surroundings and allowed us to relax away from others. The village is a short walk away and we enjoyed lunch there on our final day at the restaurant which is also worth a try. On specific days there were gourmet food trucks that stopped by in the village offering various sweet and savoury items – we tried the crepes which were lovely and a nice treat after an evening walk around the river and church in lovely Buzet. We loved everything about the place, I would highly recommend this to both friend groups and families.

Kids really enjoyed the grounds and plenty to keep them entertained even when the weather was not as nice. So much space to run around and explore. Great pool, very clean. Owners went above and beyond to help us, even offering to give us a lift when needed. Welcoming and friendly reception from Nick and Takayla - really helpful and on hand when needed.
Stylish, well-equipped 'home from home' house in a great location. Narbonne is a delightful town with many good facilities. The pool and outside is a real bonus. We had a very good stay.
Thank you for allowing us to holiday at Château Trieux, it didn't disappoint! What a truly wonderful house and holiday experience we had. After exploring for a few hours on arrival it really felt like home. The children loved the pool, sporting facilities and quad bikes. The floodlit tennis court made for some great fun away from the day time heat. Whilst we loved the space and beautifully appointed rooms. You have a real gem in Château Trieux and the nearby town of Bergerac and many villages and markets as promised didn't disappoint either, simply stunning!! Thank you again and will definitely book for next year.
Another amazing stay at Maison Baleyssagues where we were very warmly hosted by Frédéric and his team. Such a peaceful location, sitting proudly on the hill top with panaramic views. Very spacious gardens topped with a beautiful pool and it’s own water fountain. Inside the villa nothing is left to chance with a fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable bedrooms. Looking at the pictures only tell half the story, it’s a superb place, if you don’t book early you’ll miss your chance as this place is always full, I wonder why?
We had a lovely stay at the property. Everything was as expected and more. The owners, Benedict and Pierre Balteau were very friendly and welcoming. We look forward to staying here again next time we visit the Languedoc, Occitanie and will certainly be recommending this property to our friends and family. We had a very good week as a family. The house is well equipped and the swimming pool is very good. No noise at night for impeccable sleep. Restaurant nearby, bakery etc... The sea is nearby. We will gladly come back.

We adore this house - it is our third visit this year! The atmosphere here is so conducive to being happy and relaxed. And now to expose the biggest secret of the year - Christmas at Orchard Farmhouse has been a magical experience. The Baquiés are the most agreeable hosts in the world.
We had a great time at this big house. It is very well-equipped for a dozen people. The pool is very appreciated, as well as the amenities offered (pétanque, badminton, ping pong...). Shops are accessible by car. The environment is very quiet, overlooking the fields and the forest which makes the house all the more pleasant.
Absolutely perfect place for a stay with family or friends. The hosts are very welcoming and attentive to any request. The rooms are perfect, the bedding excellent.
Wow! What an amazing house in such a wonderful location! We've just come back from spending a week here and I was so sad to leave. The house is incredibly comfortable and beautifullt decorated. You really couldn't ask for a better location - the street is very peaceful (we didn't hear a thing, despite sitting out in the garden until late in the evening, every night) and yet you are in the centre of town within few minutes walk - we loved strolling into the main part of town for an ice cream in the day or a drink at night. Parking is easy; we didn't use the garage in the end despite having two cars between us. The pool is wonderful, especially when its really hot and the decked area and BBQ just make the garden a really relaxing, usable space to enjoy.
We have had a very enjoyable fortnight in your beautiful house and gardens, despite the unfriendly weather. We go home feeling very relaxed. We enjoyed days out in Chinon, Fontevraud and several of the other places mentioned by others. Thank you for your hospitality, the wine, jam and bubbles. Hope you enjoyed Italy.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house. The house is very well equipped for a comfortable holiday. The location was perfect, offering peaceful surroundings while being close to local attractions, restaurants and shops. Loved Saint-Émilion, parked easily and not too busy. Very friendly tortoise enjoyed lettuce and came when quickly we called him Ted. Thank you!

Stunning château in rural France. In August this year we made our 3rd visit to Château Velouse with a group of friends and once again had a wonderful time. The first time we flew to Paris and hired a car but found it more economical to take a ferry - crossing to Dieppe last year and Calais in August. Easy drive on all occasions. Location is in a beautiful rural area steeped in history and close to the Loire with its majestic châteaux and extensive forests. Medieval Bourge, only a few miles away, is very well worth several visits – the acoustics in the cathedral are amazing. The surrounding area is reasonably flat and so an ideal centre for cycling on very quiet roads and off road tracks. The communal areas and bedrooms in the château are impressive and very classy. The pool area is an ideal centre for complete relaxation. Pool is clean and well maintained. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly - very attentive to our needs and not obtrusive. Well worth a visit.

Where do I start?! Truly one of the most amazing places we’ve ever stayed. The property sits in a stunning location with beautiful mountain views yet is just a short drive from Limoux which offers everything you might need. It’s also a very easy and short drive to Carcassonne with all of its shops and attractions (and international airport). Close to beautiful Mediterranean coastline, the rugged Montagne Noir and the wonderful Pyrenees, there are too many amazing sights to list (or to see in one holiday)... if you can drag yourself away from Domaine de Nérige that is. The property itself is far beyond adequate description in words or photographs. It is utterly magical. Every aspect of the house itself and the experience it offers has been carefully and lovingly thought through by the hosts and the result is exceptional. It’s certainly not easy to achieve both elegance and comfort but they have, masterfully. As well as being entirely beautiful, the accommodation is impressively spacious- we stayed as two families over five of the bedrooms, but had we filled all bedrooms it would have felt no less spacious because of its clever and generous arrangement. It’s perfectly appointed, with an incredible kitchen with every gadget and utensil you could possibly want, an outdoor dining area with gas bbq and hot plate, luxurious towels and linen (including towels for the pool), music player, DVDs, outdoor games (table tennis, swing ball, table football, pétanque), pool table room and then there’s the swimming pool! An immaculately kept pool terrace with sun loungers, wooden pergola and even an outdoor shower. The swimming pool was fabulous for adults and children alike, being large enough for swimming lengths but also with a shallow end for the children. Kept as meticulously as the rest of the property, the pool is cleaned every morning. The hosts could not have been more helpful and welcoming from beginning to end. Due to travel disruptions we had to change the dates of our stay several times and the hosts were so accommodating and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Before we arrived Sandie had even arranged to do a grocery shop for us! She was also kind enough to arrange for a therapist to come to the house during our stay so we could have a much needed massage! I think it’s indicative of just how special this place is that everyone in our party fell entirely in love with it, children and adults alike. We can’t wait to go back.
Mas du Château is really beautiful and tastefully finished. Great location with beautiful views and surrounded by villages to visit. We were the first to rent and we can say that everything was planned for comfort and well thought out for the party (beautiful lights and sound system available). I totally recommend! We were not too familiar with the region, but since we live in a highly fast-paced city, we knew we wanted a tranquil and somewhat less-touristy vacation spot surrounded by nature. Through an amazing agency, we were able to lease the cottage for two weeks in late August and had an amazing time there. The property dates back to 1750 and is fully well-renovated - every detail has been taken into consideration so one is able to enjoy the experience of staying in an authentic French country house, but with modern amenities that enhance the original character of the property, rather than detract from it. The town and the people are very charming and there are restaurants, cafés, a grocery store, shops, butcher shops, etc. and an excellent choice of patisseries and boulangeries, which my husband happily frequented every morning in order to bring back fresh breakfast goodies! There is a weekly market in the town square, just a 5-minute drive from the house selling amazing produce and other artisanal delights! The town is within a comfortable drive from beautiful sites in neighboring Beynac, Sarlat and Bergerac, not counting other small picturesque places you find on the way. And if you haven't done much research, fret not because the owners of the home have compiled quite an impressive binder of information with all of the popular attractions and must-see places in the area. I do not over-exaggerate when I say the house is extremely well-equipped as if it were our own home! When we were not out sightseeing during the morning, we were downstairs preparing food in the kitchen, which may seem small in the photos, but it is spacious and the layout is wonderful - the oven and stove are ideal for seasoned cooks, there is a full-size dishwasher and tons of pots, pans, utensils, gadgets and appliances - all in superb condition, so we wanted for nothing. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Maison Bourg Cales, which I would highly recommend to anyone in search of an idyllic, quiet getaway in the beautiful French countryside.
