We booked for 3 weeks this past summer at the Maison Emz. It was a fantastic experience. Jacky and Anna are absolutely wonderful.
We had a very good stay at Villa des Pivoines. Everything was perfect, we had a few requests which were fulfilled with great care and attention. Very responsive host too! The place is very clean, quiet and the environment is magnificent! I recommend.
Comfortable. Well equipped château. Spacious. Well tended grounds. Stunning pool area, very inviting! All really good. Comfortable sitting area. Well organised roomy playroom being a real bonus. Kitchen well equipped for cooking. Helpful at all times and unobtrusive. Huge bonus having the daily housekeeping service as well as shopping service. Really this is one of the best family holidays we have had. Everything designed to make one's stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you. It has been a pleasure to be guests in your home.
We had two excellent weeks. In this setting and the house which are beautiful. We benefitted 100% from all the beautiful things of everything here. We love donkeys, cute and kind. Too bad we didn't see squirrels, but we saw herons and different kinds of birds. We made beautiful excursions to Nérac, Clermont-Dessous, the Agen canal bridge and the garden of the water lilies of Latour-Marliac and seen many ponds. We will miss everything, the calm, the beautiful place, the environment and the splendid swimming pool. Everything was perfect. Thank you Karine and Pascal for everything, for your kindness and service, your attention and the delights offered on arrival.
You beat me to it! I’d been meaning to email to say what an excellent time we’ve been having and to thank you for allowing us to use your wonderful home. It’s such a gorgeous spot, the weather has been perfect and we love the fact that the house feels like a much loved family home so thank you for sharing it with us. It is so well equipped and comfortable, with a lovely ambience - we are greatly enjoying relaxing and eating meals in all the different beautiful spots in the garden. No practical problems and everything seems in order. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
We have really enjoyed staying in your beautiful home. We have been lazy and mostly stayed by the pool. We had a great couple of meals in St Émilion and we visited some vineyards. All in all a fabulous holiday. Great hoss, and the house is very well equipped!
We all enjoyed the stay at the villa. We liked the location - both in Lezignan and the fact that it is close to Pézenas and easy to get to other locations (we went to Carcassonne; Montpellier, Millau etc) Thanks you for making the bicycle available and the table football! It was also nice to have a pool - although we only used that once. A lot of useful information was also provided in the villa. We liked the fact that you contacted us personally - it offered us reassurance prior to our trip - thanks for your help. All in all we enjoyed our stay and if in the area would visit the villa again. Wonderful holiday in this beautiful and stylish home! The house has been refurbished to a very high specification and the bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are luxuriously contemporary. The kitchen is impressively well equipped. There is so much to do in the area which is steeped in history and blessed with natural beauty. The Roman ruins at Vaison are a must- see. We were amazed to find the largest archaeological site in France just down the road and the medieval town, on the other side of the river, with its winding streets, is charming. We found it hard to tear ourselves away from the stunning views and the peace and tranquility of the gardens and pool but outings to the hilltop villages of Seguret and Venasque and a wine tasting in Gigondas or Châteauneuf du Pape are experiences not to be missed!
Great contact, we made an autonomous arrival with all instructions given in advance. The house is beautiful and very, very clean. I highly recommend !
We are back home after a really lovely family holiday at Maison Semoussac. The weather was mixed (the rain needed of course) but it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves. The children loved running down the track leaving little carrots in the hope of seeing hares and picking blackberries which were plentiful. The children's toys and books were wonderful and (surprisingly for their age) they loved playing Monopoly! Marian cooked us a couple of delicious meals too. Thank you so much.
Most beautiful spot in the South of France! The house was sensational. The vista is beyond. The kitchen motivated us to cook and eat on the patio every night. Proximity to all the area has to offer and the patisserie and vegetable market and town are all right at the foot of the hill. Ours hosts organised all we needed too - language tutoring for our daughter and extra housekeeping. 6 stars !
We have had a fabulous peaceful time here. Such a lovely home and place. Our 4 year old keeps telling us he really likes this home and wants to stay for ever and ever. Both boys have really enjoyed themselves and loved the pool. The neighbours over the road were very kind and gave us some of their home grown vegetables. Our sone loved the carrots and woke up asking for them for breakfast. We were not able to tell this as our French is very poor! Sad to leave but hope to return again soon. merci beaucoup.
Just to say that the property was outstanding and we thoroughly recommend it to other families. It was great for young children and having a bathroom with each bedroom was exceptional.
Now we are back from a fabulous holiday staying in Grand Mauran, I just wanted to say we had a wonderful time. The house was perfect, it was so well equipped and had everything we could possible need for a holiday with a baby. Having the pool heated was a real joy. All the instructions were good and our questions were answered very promptly. We definitely will be back.
We have had a wonderful week. The children have spent almost the entire week in the pool and the adults some wonderful meals at Le Petite Coutures, Verteillac evening market and lunch at La Cour de Miracles. We've loved the views and the full moon rising over the forest was spectacular. Thanks for a lovely stay.
What can I say except that it was perfect in every way! Every year we organize a long family weekend and this is, by far, the one that wins all the votes!
Fantastic stay - group of 10 adults and 10 children. Great set up to keep both groups well entertained and some additional surprises like a play area next to one of the outside eating areas. Sports hall and pool both huge, the later keeping us cool in the hot afternoons. The owners also helped us arrange a local cook to cater on some evenings and also a local wine producer to do a wine tasting.
We had an absolutely lovely fortnight at Château Monjardin. Faultless. Please could you pass on our especial thanks to Colin and Sue. They could not have been kinder or more generous. I miss it already and will be sure to return, perhaps next year. All our very best regards.

Many thanks for the gift of your time accompanying us to the winery Les Jamelles and the beautiful gift of wine as well. We all enjoyed the beautiful decorations inside the château - unique wall-papers and luxurious sheets, etc. Being surrounded by the vineyards and gardens and beautiful swimming pool added to the rich ambience.

We found the holy trinity of travel in our first trip to the Dordogne in as much as our stay provided the perfect property, superb hosts and a wonderful location. Owners have renovated the property wonderfully by melding traditional Dordogne architecture with contemporary interior design that maintains the character of the property but also provides modern comforts. The location of the cottage combines a secluded rural position with easy access (5 minutes walk) to Thonac's 2 restaurants, shop and hotel bar. Similarly the main road through Thonac takes you through the picturesque Vezere valley with Montignac and our favourite Saint Leon only a few minutes drive. Médiéval Sarlat, Beynac and Domme are slightly further afield but still an easy journey. Caves to canoeing, troglodytes to trekking and food and drink aplenty are all easily accessible from Thonac and you really can make any sort of holiday from this property. Its magnificent!
A great family gîte with loads of space for us all. We had some great walks around here, the gorge, Orpierre and Rosans. Also managed to fit in time lazing around the pool, sunbathing and reading. Perfect holiday! Hope to be back...
We have had a very relaxing and restful week here, with perfect weather. We loved the pool, playing table tennis and darts. The house has everything you could need and we have enjoyed having so much space inside and out! The surrounding area has lots to offer – Chauvigny is beautiful (we recommend The VeloRail) and we spent a wonderful afternoon kayaking at Angles sur L’Anglin.
This is a wonderfully quiet place to spend time in Provence. Located within walking distance from the many attractions of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence its restaurants and its old town, it is a beautifully appointed home with an inviting swimming pool and check out the new pool shower - delightful. Within easy driving distance are a variety of wineries for your tasting pleasure.
Have had a great two weeks here in your wonderful house. Very spacious and well-appointed, tasteful and comfortable. Boys have thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We have appreciated tranquility and privacy. We have enjoyed exploring the area and sampling the local cuisine. Restaurant recommendations include Hotel-Restaurant du Château in Campagne, Auberge Médiévale Audrix and for rustic but delicious farmhouse cuisine - Auberge Rebeyrotte near Pressigirac Vicq. The chalet is ideally located and close to all amenities and activities. We loved the warm welcome, the good advice on the Valley and the places not to be missed. The chalet is a haven of peace, perfectly equipped and intelligently arranged to spend relaxing moments with the family. From young to old, we sincerely enjoyed ourselves and everyone found their happiness. We also appreciated the attention that was given to us on our arrival and with which we feasted. We will be back!
I cannot say how much I love this amazing old stone farmhouse; it has been so immaculately restored and is both stylish and supremely comfortable. The gardens are beautiful (what a fantastic collection of Salvias) and the infinity pool, with its view over the surrounding countryside, is a dream ( both for proper swimming of lengths and for sunbathing). I could spend all day here. It is lovely to have a choice of outdoor eating areas for long lunches or relaxing dinners. I love the fact the there are lots of delightful historic Bastide towns within easy driving distance, both for historical sightseeing , fabulous food markets and outstanding restaurants (Auberge Le Prieure at Moirax being my personal favourite !) I have visited the house three times now and each visit has been magic.
