We have had a great week here visiting our daughter Eliza who is studying French in Montpellier. Lisa et al very helpful and the home has provided us with much fun and relaxation. Also great for walking into town and going on excursions. Thank you!
Beautiful house with pool, nice and private yet a short walk into the centre of Sarlat. The house is very well equipped and cosy for those days when the weather didn’t play ball! The surrounding area has so much to offer. We will be back. We had a wonderful family vacation in your beautiful house. We will definitely be back. Sun, river, pool, food, canoes! What more do you need... Oh and wine!
I just wanted to send a quick note to say that your house is truly amazing. The pictures framed our expectations but being here has exceeded them. We love the indoor / outdoor design of the house and the thoughtful marrying of aesthetics with functionality. We are wanting for nothing! My husband thoroughly enjoyed working at the desk on the mezzanine yesterday (the Wi-Fi and cell coverage was flawless), we both enjoyed long runs on the country roads and green walking trail and my boys love bouncing between the pool and huge yard for ball sports. Oh and I love cooking in your kitchen! I'm a cook and a believer that the kitchen should be the center of the house as it is in yours. Your lovingly done house is a magical place and I didn't want to let another day go you know by without letting how grateful we are to be here.
Wow! What a week, went so fast but was a truly special. The chateau is so grand with secrets to be found all around. Paul, Julie and Steven were amazing, taking us fishing and ensuring we had all we needed! I will miss this place and already want to come back!! Thank you!!
Great holiday. We had a wonderful holiday in Mouans Sartoux. The villa was exactly as described and well equipped. We loved the heated pool and watched many a glorious sunset from the terrace. The owner, was extremely approachable and helpful all the way and tiny niggles got sorted out very quickly with the help of Mireille, the lovely housekeeper. We will definitely come back.
An idyllic haven in the Gers countryside. The room was beautifully comfortable and had far- reaching views over the vines. Host, David, cooked us a sensational meal on the evening of our arrival as well as French breakfast of fruit, yogurts, bread and croissants, cheese, delicious preserves each morning. He was also a source of invaluable advice about the area - things to see and places to eat. A warm, welcoming chambre d’hote. Unhesitatingly recommended.
Mas du Château is really beautiful and tastefully finished. Great location with beautiful views and surrounded by villages to visit. We were the first to rent and we can say that everything was planned for comfort and well thought out for the party (beautiful lights and sound system available). I totally recommend! Thank you and keep it up! :)
Magnificent old sheepfold, spacious, bright, and comfortable. The views are incredible with its large heated pool and park. Everything is within driving distance: supermarkets, typical villages, restaurants, and multiple excursions. And finally, the owners are attentive and absolutely charming!
Château Mézard really is as lovely as it is depicted on the website! It was a magical place for a holiday. The house and grounds were amazing, the set-up of the house provides great privacy even for a large group. Exploring the surrounding countryside, towns and cities provided the perfect French country get away. Returning to the amazing luxury of the château for a dinner on the terrace or a swim in the pool was the highlight of each day.
We just wanted to let you know everything is great here and we are all having a wonderful time. What a fabulous house with so much character! It is working perfectly for us; we absolutely love it. We can't get over how well set up it is. And we are having so much fun in the pool. This is the perfect place for us! 5 stars are simply not sufficient when it comes to a review of this outstanding gite. A truly fabulous week starting with a warm welcome (and delicious cognac cocktail) from Mark and Gary and then the luxurious surroundings which we adored, 7 days of absolute luxury and a credit to the wonderful hosts who made our stay that extra bit special. Attention to detail is exemplary, everything you could possibly need is provided (from whisked milk for the perfect coffee and an air fryer to the hairdryers and divine smelling body wash and in the waterfall showers). The welcome hamper was a delight and Mark and Gary were the perfect hosts with excellent recommendations for dinner (Le Boule D’Or and Les Droles were excellent) and places to visit. Everything is utterly spotless (including the pool and terrace which were meticulously cleaned each day) and the beds are like sleeping in the clouds. The welcoming scent throughout is something we’ll remember at home thanks to a visit to Aubeterre to Savon Garde. We cannot fault this incredible haven of tranquility and luxury and are already planning a return visit. Thank you Mark and Gary for transforming La Charmante Distillerie to such an outstanding holiday destination, and for your hospitality from start to finish.
We had a very good stay, peaceful and surrounded by nature in an area full of charm. It is an ideal place to rest and recharge your batteries and also discover this beautiful region. Our hosts were very welcoming and available. We recommend this place!

The pool is really heated! Many pools in the south of France 'suggest' they are heated. However, Les Fumerates' pool - which is huge - actually is heated! In fact when we arrived the pools temp was 29C (86F)! After unpacking we took an early evening swim followed by an early morning swim... You get the idea... Like the picture suggests the views here are amazing. We had the downstairs apartment which was perfect. Two sets of French doors lead you to the pool, there are retractable awnings to shade you while having breakfast. The master bedroom is very large with a king size bed and a queen size bed which is great for unpacking or sitting on etc. There's a second bedroom and a breakfast / TV room. The kitchen was spotless with a view over the pool. A/C worked well (very important from mid June until end of August). Also there are 2 bathrooms (very handy). All in all highly recommended.
We have just arrived back from Maison Palatini and we all had a wonderful time. The villa is beautiful in such a quiet place and yet minutes from the town centre. The pool is wonderful. My Grand daughters were never out of it! I would also like to say that Andrew and Sharman were most helpful and such nice people. Thank you so much.

We love all things duck and Sarlat offers the best. Exploring the surrounding countryside has been a pure pleasure. Spacious and very pleasant house, in a quiet area, close to shops and restaurants . Welcoming and responsive host. Pool clean and so refreshing in hot weather. The village is very pretty and lively in the summer. We'll be back.
We highly recommend Maison Four à Chaux, we had a great holiday in this amazing property which was clean, very comfortable and very spacious inside and out. Lovely large heated pool and an excellent games barn which included skittles alley and table tennis. We were greeted by Yvonne who was great and very knowledgeable of the local area and was easily contactable (as were the owners) if there was any issues (which there weren't). We would definitely recommend Maison Four à Chaux.
