We have spent a lovely week at your stunning home. What a treat! Wish we could spend longer but work is calling.
What a truly incredible place to stay. The owners were so welcoming and could not do enough for us during our stay when needed. The château and grounds relax you immediately when you arrive. There is so much space and every facility you need. This venue is a must for your holiday.
Exceptional domain, I highly recommend! The rooms are very comfortable, the bedding is impeccable and the hosts are very welcoming. If you are looking to discover the Dordogne, its caves, its castles, its culinary specialties (delicious!), or if you simply want to relax in a haven of peace then Le Manoir de la Compagnie is the perfect place.

We had the most wonderful stay at the property. The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool amazing. Inside everything set up for comfortable stay for all - kids loved the hammocks! Thank you for making it so welcoming. I hope that we will be back very soon.

Very good stay with Eva for a week at the end of August. The house is very nice, spacious, with all the necessary comfort (several bathrooms in particular). With the studio, we were able to spend holidays with four couples and children. The outside, with pool, barbeque and plancha is perfect for a great stay. A ping-pong table is also available. Eva is very attentive and communication was perfect during this week. She will be able to give you ideas for walks or help you if necessary. I recommend.
Mas du Château is a perfect mixture or restored historic chateau and very modern high spec decor. Set in the most beautiful landscape with all the privacy needed. Amazing swimming pool and private terrace area is ideal for a large group or a small private family. Multiple entertaining spaces, along with Television and very fast internet, ideal for a group with children. Christophe and his family were very welcoming and always available to help in Person or via the internet/phone. 100% recommended, book asap.
Beautiful Home with Large Gardens and Heated Pool. A very special place. The house is spacious and the layout gives plenty of areas to relax. The garden and pool is beautiful. With woodland views, there are lots of seating areas and loungers, a hammock and games to play in the huge grassy area. And the pool is perfect. Sam is a super host, happy to help and is kind and fun. If you love yoga, then there is the chance to have a session with Sam in her beautiful yoga studio. We had the best time. Thank you!
Like a 5 star hotel! What a great week we spent in your lovely home in France. You have done it so well and we really felt we were staying in a family home not simply a gîte. Your attention to detail shows. The garden is beautiful and all the 'toys' were very much appreciated with a week long tennis and croquet tournament! And of course the piece de resistance was the swimming area which was like a 5 star hotel.
The property is set in lovely grounds; away from it all yet close to the bastide towns of Monpazier and Villereal. We particularly enjoyed the pool area, which is well kept and maintained on a regular basis by one of the locals. The house is comfortable and equipped with everything you need.
We stayed as a family in this very pretty house of character, full of charm and luxury. Located in a large, quiet, vast and well-maintained property, the house offers beautiful surface areas and numerous rooms, ideal for a large family. The large swimming pool is perfect for the whole family. The welcome is very friendly and we spent a wonderful week as a family in this beautiful property. I will come back with pleasure.
I just wanted to say that we all found your house to be absolutely lovely. Everything we could have hoped for. So many nice touches, you clearly put a lot of thought and no doubt effort into making it a very special place. What an amazing house in a fantastic location. Now that we have returned to the UK, I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Le Grand Verger - just right for our family get together with plenty of space, everything we could ask for in the house and plenty of things to do in the local vicinity without necessarily getting in the car. Yet another Pure France property that has more than met our expectations!
Wonderful. It felt very safe for the little ones who enjoyed being able to roam free. Very well maintained and everything well thoughout. Perfect set up - a real home from home! We had everything we needed. The pool was a hit with adults and kids alike. The canapés were articularly good and greatly appreciated, they were tailored for a dietary requirements. Briliant week.
You beat me to it! I’d been meaning to email to say what an excellent time we’ve been having and to thank you for allowing us to use your wonderful home. It’s such a gorgeous spot, the weather has been perfect and we love the fact that the house feels like a much loved family home so thank you for sharing it with us. It is so well equipped and comfortable, with a lovely ambience - we are greatly enjoying relaxing and eating meals in all the different beautiful spots in the garden. No practical problems and everything seems in order. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
A fantastic week at the villa. We were lucky enough to get a last minute booking when travel restrictions were listed. We were slightly anxious about travelling in these times but always felt safe and welcomed be the locals. We're so pleased we did come! The villa is very well equipped and Frederic was so informative and helpful. The massive selling point for us was the gorgeous pool and gardens as well as the stunning setting and amazing views from every angle! We spent many nights eating cheese and drinking wine while watching the sun set and then gazing at the star-rider sky. This is definitely one of the most beautiful parts of France we've been too. We enjoyed the local morning's and night's markets in Duras, kayaking down the Dropt river and would recommend visiting local town/villages like Eymet, Villeréal and others mentioned in the guide. St Emilion is also a family favorite and is a must-visit! We now have a car full of wine! Thanks for an amazing week! We hope to be back soon.
This is a total joy of a house. The photographs make it look beautiful - it is even better in real life. The pool is quite incredible - like being in a boutique hotel all of your own. A true hidden gem.
From the moment I arrived at Les Cazettes, I was completely mesmerised by it. Every corner of the villa has the most beautiful architecture, thoughtful design and authentic charm in every detail, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Each room is a masterpiece. All that beautiful furniture and chandeliers speak of timeless elegance and gives it much more personality than any modern soulless contemporary interior designs that is more common to find among luxury villas. As someone who deeply values nature, the villa's surroundings became my nirvana place. With colourful fields that seem to stretch infinitely and forests that attract to explore it, there’s a certain magic that Les Cazettes holds. The air here is different - it’s charged with an energy so vibrant, yet very calming. It's rare to find a place that can give you the feeling of being home, especially when you're miles away from what you’ve always known. It’s an oasis where happiness isn’t just felt, it's lived. I've spent such beautiful moments here, makes me feel so warmly nostalgic as I write this review. Bring your favourite people with you and step into that bubble that feels from another world. A place where joy isn’t just a sporadic emotion but a permanent atmosphere that surrounds you. It's not just a holiday spot - it’s an experience, a journey, a lifestyle that I never wanted to end. It seems but a moment since we arrived two weeks ago, but we have had a lovely time. Thank you for your hospitality and wonderful company. What a pity we couldn’t come in June, but we are optimistic about next year. It feels much safer here in France than it does in England - we saw much more of Rieux than we have before, and have had some splendid meals. Our favourite is definitely l’Abbaye de Fontfroide, though Relais de Chantovent comes a close second. Until next June.
