Beautiful house - everything you could possibly need for a totally carefree and relaxing holiday. We loved it so much here we only ventured away from the property for 2 half days. We would love to return! A huge thank you to Gary and Louise for managing the property so well and giving expert local knowledge.
We enjoyed celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary here at Domaine de Nérige with family and friends. Awesome is the only word to describe the house and area.
Domaine du Château is the most beautiful and well equipped house ever. Better in the flesh than the photographs suggest. We stayed as a group of 11 extended family members and a couple of babies. Largely because of babies and children, we wanted a place with a pool where kids could be when adults were doing other things. Domaine du Château was perfect for this. The owners, have a history of taking groups to rental houses around Europe. They took notes and used them in renovating this property, resulting in attention to detail that makes everything work for a large group. I cannot think of a single thing that was lacking in making the house work for us. There is an exceedingly well equipped cook's kitchen. Every bedroom was beautiful with en suite bathrooms. They have cribs and the ability to turn the bedrooms (or at least some of them) from queen beds to twins. The bedrooms are arranged in pairs with good separation from other pairs of bedrooms. All are well away from public rooms where there might be noise. There are even two pairs of washers and dryers, so no queue for doing laundry. There are multiple outdoor terrace areas and a stunning view from the salon terrace over the pool to the hillside village beyond. The house is about 40 minutes from Beaune in a beautiful rural area. It is a great cycling area. The Voie Verte that runs from Santenay to Nolay might be the most scenic ride in Burgjndy. Once you get on it, you are completely separate from cars and riding on the level through stunning vineyards all the way. The house is also close to the Canal du Centre which is another great biking opportunity along the old towpath. Beware that the house is uphill from both, so the return may be a bit challenging for some riders. We rented bicycles from Bourgogne Randonées in Beaune. They were delivered to the house and were in mint condition. Must not forget Stephen and Lilly, the house managers. They live in a separate area of the property. They are a delightful couple with an enviable history of adventurous living. They were completely unobtrusive, but there to meet any need we might have, including doing the shopping for us one day. On the subject of shopping, do not miss the Sunday morning market in Chagny. There are dozens of vendors with beautiful local produce, cheese and meat, as good as can be found anywhere.

Your house is lovely and we all had a relaxing and enjoyable week. I think I can safely say that in all the years of hiring holiday accommodation in France we have not stayed in such a well appointed and well equipped property. This property has the WOW factor! We were blown away by it when we arrived. It is beautifully renovated and the grounds and surrounding countryside are stunning. The main house is very spacious with a large living room, TV lounge room and a big kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything that you might need (including 2 great coffee machines and a pantry with essentials that you can use). Also, a lovely large dining table. Upstairs there are 4 big airy bedrooms with very comfy beds, great linen and towels. Plus 3 pristine luxe bathrooms. The views out of every side of the house are idyllic. The outside space too is fantastic. Great terraces for eating / relaxing on, beautiful warm clean swimming pool with comfy loungers, herb garden, fire pit, well equipped gym, pétanque court, vineyard, landscaped gardens. The gîte across from the main house is also lovely and provides 3 extra bedrooms plus additional bathroom, kitchen and lounge. We enjoyed our stay enormously and appreciated the level of detail and care that the owners have put into this house.

We’ve had a wonderful 2 weeks, the girls have loved the swimming pool and all the facilities. We spent many relaxing days reading in front of the beautiful views. The house is very comfortable. Nyons, Orange, Avignon, Vaison la romaine were all very picturesque and worth a visit, especially the amazing Roman theatre in Orange. All in all a fabulous trip. We will be back.

Fantastic house in a lovely town. The property is extensive, nicely modernised and very well maintained. We visited with three children and they had plenty of room. The pool is AMAZING and they jumped in and out of that very happily. The outside terrace on the upper floor is a lovely place to lounge or eat - and the BBQ is a very good feature. In all we had a WONDERFUL time!
An absolutely perfect location for our family holiday and we enjoyed some great day trips and some fab local food and wines (as well as a couple of lazy days by the pool!) We had just the nicest time and all of the info and instructions were so helpful. We couldn’t have really asked for anything more.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Périgord Castle. The castle is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The park is splendid. The countryside is very beautiful and very soothing. The pool is secured and well equipped. Perfect.

What an excellent villa in a wonderful setting. Everything we needed was here and the swimming pool was just right. As previous comments by others, Cédric is a great host. We thoroughly recommend a visit to this area and this villa. Bize-Minervois and Lagrasse were our two favourite places to visit. If you want to treat yourself to a great restaurant in a great setting, Relais Chantonvent in Minerve - book early.
What a memorable time we had with friends along with my 5 years old daughter at the château. The owners are friendly and extremely generous, beautiful adorable dogs, my daughter is fond of them. The castle is rustic French style property with large windows directly opens to garden space and pool, the property is huge enough for every day walk, lush greens, canals, peaceful at the same time. The furniture and tapestry are well selected and stored beautifully. It’s a combination of modern comfort meets rustic luxury one could dream of. 5 - 10 minutes drive to local markets, boulangerie for delicious French breads. Amazing Safari zoo, my daughter and we had a great time. Great seas face restaurants are close by and a must visit. A perfect gateway to celebrate with your family, friends and loved ones.
Thank you for a lovely stay. The house is so comfortable and a great base to explore the region from. Highlights were Dinan, Le Mont-Saint-Michel and Faugères. We also loved driving through the countryside. The boulangerie in Bazouges-la-Pérouse was fantastic! We loved the welcome basket - it was such a thoughtful + helpful gift. Hiya; can’t believe 3 weeks is up already! We’ve had a fab time in your house especially with the real Côte d’Azur weather this week.
Idyllic place. Very peaceful break had by all. Garlin is a lovely village. Great bakery for fresh bread and the essential Ecomarket. All in all, great location - awesome house that's been fitted out to a very high standard throughout and a wonderful, unspoilt part of France that we'd never been to before.
Thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness. The Loft has been amazing for us - so comfortable and beautifully decorated. We have very much enjoyed our morning coffees, lunches and dinners on the terrace. We have relaxed and read lots of books, which is just what we needed.
