Turtle name suggestions- Flash Louie Elliot Raphiel We have really enjoyed staying in your beautiful home. We have been lazy and mostly stayed by the pool. We had a great couple of meals in St Émilion and we visited some vineyards. All in all a fabulous holiday. Great hoss, and the house is very well equipped!
We swam in the pool every day - temperature 29°c - in January! We did indeed enjoy the 12 days with you, the house and the surroundings. Very invigorating for both of us and very enjoyable to meet you both.

We’ve had an amazing two weeks at this gorgeous property. On arrival we have been overwhelmed by the beauty of the house. Maison Bourg Calès is most definitely a five-star property. It is a beautiful property, both inside and outside, beautifully clean and fully equipped with everything you could possible need for a wonderful holiday. We also really appreciated the extra touches - the bottle of own label wine that awaited us, the basket full of towels for the pool and the store cupboard of kitchen essentials. We loved the saltwater pool. We would happily recommend it to anyone wishing to holiday in the Dordogne and looking for a well-located, high quality property.
Weary of election nonsense and pandemic restrictions, we sought respite in France and found it at Colombat Cottage.
Had a lovely relaxing 2 week stay. John and Annie are gracious hosts - lovely touches - wine and cheese and flowers. Fabulous palces to visit - La Rochelle, Fontenay, Plage des Belagus. Vouvant is a charming village. Ideal for a great holiday.

We had a fantastic 2 week stay here, the house and outside space are really lovely and was the perfect setting for our family to spend time together. We explored the area but were always more than happy to return to the house and spend time around the swimming pool relaxing. Thank you
The property was everything we were hoping for and more. It's simple yet beautifully done out inside. The outdoor areas are great, particularly the pool. It's so well designed for a family holiday. The local village is so cute and the hotel restaurant great too. And obviously the local wine was delicious too! Couldn't have asked for more.
We wanted to find a location that provided peace and tranquillity and allow us all to pause for a while. We sought comfort, privacy and nature and found it all and more at La Metairie de Mespoule. We have just spent two wonderful weeks in late July and early August under the life giving sun of South Western France. We explored the beautiful villages, we ate in a raft of superb restaurants and we came back each day to the enjoy the tranquillity offered by the Metairie. The accommodation is perfect for a family holiday, the kitchen / living area is perfectly appointed and the outside terrace much used by us all. The naturally heated pool is an inspired choice and proved to be very popular with us all as did the BBQ area, the table tennis and an evening game of pétanque on the gravelled driveway. Catherine and Jono are perfect hosts offering as much or as little support and guidance as required – we opted for a private wine tour which was fabulous. We give the strongest of recommendations for anyone looking for a perfectly relaxing holiday.

We had an amazing stay! The beds were very comfortable and the pool is incredible! Lunch time on the terrace was a highlight as it's so peaceful. Overall the stay was absolutely incredible and we loved every minute we were here.

Superb property with all the comforts. We spent a week in July 2023 with family and loved the beauty of this area. The infinity pool, the jacuzzi and the ping-pong table delighted the children. The wooded park offers a beautiful space for relaxation and walking. Thank you again for Francesca’s welcome and services!

We have had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. Many thanks for the beautiful house and views. We have enjoyed the pool, the sunshine, the fantastic pool and of course the piano. As musicians having a piano was important. To learn the house was belonging a famous jazz pianist was awesome! We have played jazz everyday and the sound of piano across the evening air was a dream.
