Beautifully located, right on the sea, very neat and very cozy even in bad weather. Lionel was via telephone and email at all times and has responded quickly to any questions. The concierge, who hands over the keys and makes the final cleaning is very personable and locally at all times. In short: everything perfect! We would definitely come back!
A relaxing, rustic but luxurious holiday. We had an absolutely superb stay in Manoir Gascon. We were a large family group with a range of ages from 10 - 75, but the manor house catered for everyone with its ample reception rooms, games barn and pool. The manor house is so beautiful and has lot of French rustic charm, but was also very peaceful so we had a truly relaxing stay drinking wine by the pool! The village is a short walk down a country lane and we had a delicious Sunday lunch in the village hotel. We hope to stay at Manoir Gascon again some time soon!

We had a unique experience in this very exclusive and exceptional location. An ideal place to recharge your batteries and enjoy memorable family moments. The pool is impressive and the night lights add a magical touch. You are surrounded by nature in a setting of the highest quality.
We have had the most lovely and relaxing time. The house and welcome has been brilliant, and we have to confess to not having explored enough — we were in need of a break and the house and environs were exactly what was needed. We did play a lot of tennis at the Gensac courts.

We had a fantastic week: the villa was superb and very functional. We who cook a lot loved the kitchen, extremely well equipped, a delight. The property is perfectly maintained and tastefully decorated. Special mention for the caretaker, available and responsive, a pearl. We rent every year in the area, we will be back! A very friendly welcome. The place is very quiet while allowing visits to tourist sites. The kitchen is very well equipped. We enjoyed discovering the family history (which manages the nearby Napoleon Museum).
Our second stay at 'Mel's place', the first was in 2012. Returned with 2 more grand children and a grand son's girlfriend. Have stayed in many houses over the years - this is by far the best. Brilliant pool for everyone, loads of space for the children to play and a secret garden if you want to get away from it. We didn't go far - we just enjoyed the opportunity for us all to get together for a relaxing holiday. Also there is so much equipment and toys for the children - Mel's thought of everything, an excellent host.
We have just spent an amazing fortnight at Maison Labarde in Lauzun hosted by Jean and Martyn. The gite is really well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay and is cool inside, even in hot weather. Jean kindly provided many complementary extras for our arrival which was very much appreciated. A great outside kitchen with gas BBQ and additional fridge was perfect for outdoor dining and drinking! The pool was immaculate and cleaned daily by Martyn and there were various floats, water toys and inflatables available; the water temperature was just right- in fact it didn’t drop below 28 degrees for the whole fortnight. We enjoyed the extensive garden using the various seating areas available, all with parasols/ gazebo for shade if needed. It’s a lovely part of France with lots of Bastide towns to visit with markets, fetes and musical events in the summer months, as well as vineyards and châteaux for wine tastings at every turn!! Jean and Martyn were excellent hosts, friendly and informative about local events and places to visit. We have no hesitation in recommending this holiday gite and hope that we can return at some point in the future! Merci beaucoup!!

What a wonderful holiday at this amazing Villa. Firstly, a big thank you to the owners who were amazing and answered all our queries and were very fair minded when checking out. This really is a luxury apartment and everything was as stated. The pool is excellent as well as the hot tub. The are lots of eating areas and plenty of room to sunbath on the decking. I can recommend taking advantage of the visiting chef - he was excellent. The property has aircon which works extremely well. The kitchen is amazing with every mod con you could want and well appointed with kitchen equipment. The welcome book was very useful and covered everything. There are plenty of fridges and freezers and one outside which was very useful. We were 7 adults and three young children and we fitted in very well and never felt cramped. Some of the walks nearby are very good. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough and we will definitely be returning

I forgot the quiet and direct access to the lake for swimming or recreation. The house is spacious and has enough rooms and bathrooms and various seating areas. It guarantees you high privacy with comfort. The host was very responsive and deserves the highest rating without any courtesy.

We have had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. We appreciate how clean it was when we arrived (thanks Yvonne) and the wine. We love the decor and period furnishings. The pool and small barn were great. It was interesting to hear about the history and previous occupants of the house from Bob and Margaret, the English neighbours across the road. Thanks. We hope to return one day.

We’ve had a wonderful time at Le Bastion. The house and courtyard had everything we needed and we’ve loved staying in such a beautiful house which has been renovated to such a high standard. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and received all the information we needed to settle in. Thank you!
We have just returned from a wonderful ten day stay at Château des Grillauds with our three children (aged 8, 7 and 5). The château and grounds are absolutely beautiful and perfect for a peaceful (except for the children) break. The children loved and lived in, the swimming pool all day and fell asleep each night watching movies in the upstairs lounge, while the adults enjoyed the elegant charm of the house and (a few bottles of) the local produce. I almost didn't write a review because I wanted to keep this gem of a house a secret, but we could not recommend it highly enough. Special thanks are due to next door neighbours who welcomed us and could not have been more helpful or better company during our stay; including taking us to Le Pizou for the local Tuesday evening fiesta (wrong word I'm sure). In summary, a magical ten days - can't wait to come back.
We had a superb 11 day stay in Fitou. Everything was as expected when we arrived - the property has everything you would expect and more when travelling with young children - in our case a 10 month old as well as 2½ year old twins. The car beds were a huge hit with the twins! The village of Fitou is also really nice - there are over 10 wines caves selling high quality local Fitou. There are also some excellent restaurants - would recommend Vidals if you are taking the kids. Outside of Fitou, Perpignan, Narbonne and Carcassonne are all realistic day trip options and the resort of Leucate is also good for a more traditional seaside ambience.
First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. Our family had a fabulous week at your property. The house, the region, the food, the wine - all were typically perfect and in keeping with expectations. Additionally, Pure France.com left no stone unturned and precisely described the property in all its detail - a comforting insurance we have come to rely upon over our last three holidays. For a family or couple wishing to see this area of Provence, I could not recommend it more.
The most charming, stylish château which is full of character, lovely art and enormous beds! There is a room for every mood, including a club (!) a billiards room and the most beautiful drawing room. The best equipped kitchen we have ever stayed in, a wonderful pool, tennis court, croquet, pétanque… it's impossible to be bored here! The house strikes the perfect balance between being impressive yet still a home. There are lots of different seating options for eating but we highly recommend dinner at the back of the house for the incredible sunsets. We couldn't have loved our stay more and had booked our return visit by day two!
A week at the Mas de Pitou was blissful. The house was comfortable and included everything you would need for a relaxing stay. The view of the Alpilles, bright sunshine throughout the house and the fragrance of lavender and rosemary from the garden completed the picture. I will most definitely return to enjoy more exploring of the regions bounty in farmer's markets, Médiéval villages and stunning views.

We loved our stay - we were in a mixed group and it worked really well as each couple had their own space and privacy, but there are wonderful spaces for entertaining as a large group. The pool area is stunning and the setting is calm, quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed taking the bikes on trips to nearby villages too!
