This is certainly the most tranquil villa I have ever stayed in. The pool and garden are quite lovely. Very hard to pull ourselves away. The area is wonderful. Finally I understand why so many people relocate to the Languedoc-Roussillon.
Absolutely fabulous! We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 weeks and would love to return. It's so well equipped, you've thought of everything UK TV meant we could stay in touch with local news not mention avidly watching the olympics. The property couldn't be bettered!
This is our 3rd visit and yet again we have had a lovely time. Weather a little more energetic than previously but still lovely and warm. So relaxing, peaceful and calm, with the advantage of Poitiers to explore and the fantastic bakeries nearby. Thank you so much again.
Thank you both for the most wonderful stay at your beautiful villa. We’ve had the most incredible week exploring the South of France – an area we love – and discovering new places. This spot is extremely special and we’ve relished the relaxing days and evenings spent here (made even more special by the sighting of a wild boar with babies and your marvellous set up for the gorgeous cats) – thank you for showing us this! The secluded spot, surrounded by woodland, an aromatic and fragrant garden attracting many butterflies, a beautiful pool and terrace area is somewhere we won’t forget and would love to come back to. Everything has been thought of at this place which makes it so homely. Everything from kitchen utensils and supplies to the BBQ, bowls and the TV set-up – the place has it all. You have both been such friendly and discrete hosts, allowing us such privacy and the personality you have stamped on the place (from plants, to artwork and sculptures as well as the lovely cats) makes this space so full of character too. Thanks again and we wish you both the best – hopefully we’ll return in the future!

I stayed in this stunning house in May this year. It is beautifully presented and very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. It has the added benefits of an outdoor swimming pool and a games room. The owner has gone to great lengths to make this a home away from home! It hides behind pretty old stone walls, just a few steps from the centre of the beautiful historic town of Pezenas. I am looking forward to returning in the future!
Many thanks for a wonderful stay here in Rieux-Minervois. From your welcoming and informative e-mails prior to our arrival and a most generous arrival meal (due to it being a Sunday!) we were truly made to feel reassured and wholly welcome - thank you. We enjoyed some lovely days out from the beach in Narbonne to markets in Olonzac and Carcassonne. We particularly enjoyed Minerve for the breathtaking scenery too. Our Son's favourite haunt was le Lac de Larayere. A week's stay has gone all too quickly for us and sadly we make our way home to the rain, no doubt! Once again, many, many thanks to you both for your hospitality here. We eased straight into our holiday due to your kindness with baby equipment.
Just returned from an outstanding holiday at the Orchard Farmhouse! The pool and grounds were just fantastic - it did help with three days at 30+ degrees! Everything you could ask for - plenty of space, a well equipped home, total privacy. Very relaxing, enjoyed the river swimming at Ribeaut and the lovely village of Lagrasse. Plenty of bread from the local shops. What a wonderful location, with the countryside of the Corbières on the doorstep. So many places to see and do, we loved all of it.

We have spent a perfect holiday in Bessan. The house is very beautiful, the children enjoyed the pool everyday. We particularly liked Uzès and Pézenas which really are beautiful towns. Thanks again. See you soon.
Excellent. Very nice amenities for this quiet house for getting together with family. The swimming pool is very large and with a breathtaking view of nature and the vineyards. The region is very beautiful and the surroundings are worth it. We had a very good holiday and Marie who welcomes you is very pleasant. Christiane, the owner, takes great care to ensure that your stay goes as smoothly as possible. The equipment in the house, whether furniture or kitchen area, is top notch.
We found the holy trinity of travel in our first trip to the Dordogne in as much as our stay provided the perfect property, superb hosts and a wonderful location. Owners have renovated the property wonderfully by melding traditional Dordogne architecture with contemporary interior design that maintains the character of the property but also provides modern comforts. The location of the cottage combines a secluded rural position with easy access (5 minutes walk) to Thonac's 2 restaurants, shop and hotel bar. Similarly the main road through Thonac takes you through the picturesque Vezere valley with Montignac and our favourite Saint Leon only a few minutes drive. Médiéval Sarlat, Beynac and Domme are slightly further afield but still an easy journey. Caves to canoeing, troglodytes to trekking and food and drink aplenty are all easily accessible from Thonac and you really can make any sort of holiday from this property. Its magnificent!
A wonderful week in this beautiful house. Lots of memories. Our boys loved the table tennis and pool. Night markets in Quarante are a must. I hope we’ll be back x x
It was truly a first class apartment, in a superb location with lovely sea views. Corinne and her husband were perfect hosts: excellent communication before our arrival, welcoming, friendly and very helpful during our stay, without ever being intrusive. We appreciated the impeccable modern interior of the apartment, the terrace and all the little touches provided by Corinne; we took advantage of the proximity to numerous restaurants and the possibility to stroll along the seafront - as well as enjoying the rooftop swimming pool, the beach and the marina with its unique atmosphere. We will come back with great pleasure and I highly recommend the apartment.
I stayed at this stunning villa with my three children (13, 12 and 10). It is a beautiful home set on a gorgeous property with lots of things to do in the area and within a 30 minute drive. After a day of touring around, the deck and pool area are perfect for sipping some local wines and looking out at the incredible views. It has all the amenities needed for a great family holiday. I highly recommend it!

We have spend a wonderful holiday at the villa. The villa is ideal, spacious and nicely decorated. The children loved the pool and the table tennis table! It is an ideal base to visit the region. The market in Pézenas should not be missed. We have driven a boat, ridden horses and hired bikes in Marseillan and seen flamingoes! Dream holiday. Thank you again for your kindness and hospitality. Where do we start! Arrived at the gite and drove through the private gated entrance to see beautiful grounds and a very inviting swimming pool. Jean and Martyn were waiting to show us around and were the perfect hosts throughout our stay. The gite, grounds, outdoor kitchen and pool all immaculate and made for the perfect stay. The washing machine, dishwasher and many fridges are an added bonus. The bedrooms and bathroom a good size, fab open plan kitchen, diner and living room. Lots of extras in the kitchen which is great. Lauzun is a great little village with all the amenities you need, several other pretty villages near by (Issigeac and Eymet are lovely) Large hyper/supermarkets and various shops in Bergerac, 30mins away or a decent size Intermarche 10mins away. We would highly recommend the gite and will definitely be returning. Thank you Jean and Martyn for your letting us stay in your lovely property and not forgetting the very friendly, fluffy, German Shepherd Tanner. We had the best time, enjoyed sharing our many bottles of vino and our evening with you in Eymet.
Went to this beautiful holiday cottage for the second time. What a great experience again this time. We were warmly welcomed and our house felt like coming home again. Host and hostess Leo and Esther gave us great tips so that our holiday became a great experience again. The visit to Nîmes was impressively beautiful. I especially recommend visiting Avignon to everyone with its beautiful center and the cozy terraces around the market square. The swimming pool overlooking the vineyards is a pearl. The silence descends on you wonderfully in the evening. Truly unique. Thank you for another great holiday.
You have been excellent hosts - helpful but never intrusive. The Loft is a lovely place to stay - stylish, comfortable and very well equipped for a baby. A cool, wet start to the week was more than made up for by Karen's delicious cake! It has been such a pleasure discovering this corner of France.

Nothing was too much trouble, every request for information assiduously followed up and always discretely so you never intruded on our privacy. Along the way we feel we’ve made a new friend. The property itself is beautiful and immaculately maintained. Equipped with everything we could possibly need, we lacked for nothing. Nestled in amongst the vineyards we were fortunate enough to be there in time to watch and participate in the harvest. You even arranged for us to sample the wines made from the vineyards in the area. It was impossible not to take some home with us. Lots to explore, amazing restaurants, we fell in love with the Lot. We can fully appreciate how this haven stole your heart. Having holidayed over many years in France, this was definitely the highlight of all our travels.
