Wonderful! Sarah is fabulous - kind, generous and always willing to help out. The outdoor terrace and pool area was great. A real piece of Provence. The room itself was a delight - the bed was new and large, the decor was provencal and the bathroom modern and spacious. I highly recommend this property and will now try to go back there at least once a season.
What a wonderful stay, lovely house, garden and pool so close to Sarlat town. Local shops are excellent, recommend a sneaky martini at Cafe Le Gambella just down the road on the right hand side. Butchers are excellent, cooked some delicious meals using their produce. Sarlat market is great for veg and cheese. Try the walking tour of Sarlat, pop into the tourist office to pick up a map, definitely worth while as you will venture down hidden alleyways and discover the history of Sarlat. Thank you Jackie and Geoff for the use of your beautiful home and giving us wonderful memories. We hope to return.
It was our second stay here. The house is great et the children love the swimming pool. The house is beautiful and clean. We had a great holiday. Thank you so much and see you soon!
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the friendly owners. The pool was heated to a perfect temperature and the pool area was superbly secluded. The well kept gardens boasted pétanque, badminton and croquet, with numerous named specimen trees, which offered sought after shady spots and always a place to see those sought after sunsets. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, local shops in villages are a short drive away with larger towns containing hyper markets around 20 minutes drive away. All in all a great house, pool and garden well located for the local sights and scenery of the Dordogne.
We (4 adults - 2 generations) spent a fantastic week in this super gîte. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and extremely well equipped. Outside, in the very large garden, was the lovely pool which was cleaned daily. The outside kitchen was lovely for BBQ's. There were also lots of seating areas, shaded and sunny, we were spoilt for choice. We walked to the bakery in the morning as the gîte is close to the village. The lovely owners were welcoming and helpful. Happy to recommend.

The village and surrounding towns again were beautiful and couldn't have asked for more! We will definitely be recommending the House of Swallows to all of our family and friends.
Beautiful house - everything you could possibly need for a totally carefree and relaxing holiday. We loved it so much here we only ventured away from the property for 2 half days. We would love to return! A huge thank you to Gary and Louise for managing the property so well and giving expert local knowledge.

Very good stay! There were 8 of us: everything went very well. The house is pleasant and conforms to the description: the 4 bathrooms are appreciable!
Thank-you, Jean and Martin, for a fabulous two week stay in your lovely gîte. We had everything we needed to make it a very special relaxing holiday. The outdoor BBQ area has been put to great use! We have enjoyed many evenings outside drinking and eating. It was great having your input for ideas and suggestions for things to do and places to visit. The pool is perfect and we have enjoyed using the lovely gazebo area. The garden is a beautiful retreat in which to fully unwind and enjoy the abundant birdlife, especially first thing in the morning. We have really enjoyed watching the wood pecker, especially gathering food for the offspring! Lauzun provided the perfect location to start our many heavenly bike rides and to explore the fascinating bastide towns of Issigeac, Villereal and Eymet. We also visited the prehistoric cave-Grotte de Font Gaume and highly recommend, (pre-book tickets online). We look forward to coming back soon and seeing you again. Thank you for your warm welcome. We had a great stay, the house is very pleasant. The private bathrooms are a real plus, as is the use of the sauna and jacuzzi. We'll be back!
9 of us stayed for the week. We have had a glorious time! This vila is so well equipped and clean! The pool has kept everyone occupied and cool - we have had temps in the 30's so we needed it. Roquebrun canoeing is a definite must - a great day for all ages. Pézenas, Séte, Mèze all lovely. The area is so quiet and people are very friendly. We will be back.
The most beautiful house, with stunning views, starry nights and hooting owls - what bliss! We were so lucky to find this little piece of heaven and the sun came out too! Happy days en famille! What holidays are made for.
We had a lovely week's holiday last week at Les Champs du Soleil.
Thank you for this great stay. The pool was warm, but the rosé was very cold. Bélaye is the most beautiful city in the world, visiting Montcuq was resplendent. We will leave here rested and recharged. 5/5

Superb property tastefully renovated. Old-world charm and modern comfort. The owners take great care and the satellites of Saint-Émilion are within reach.

We have had a wonderful time in your very beautiful house! 2 weeks have gone by much to fast and we are sad to be leaving. Although the weather was not very sunny the last few days we swam every day. The pool is great and we will miss it. We visited Minerve, Carcassonne, Béziers, Narbonne and Lagrasse. Croissants every morning from the van at 10am, delicious! Love the decor and everything in the house, vintage design and you have great style. Hope to be back someday soon.
Simon and Nicholas have provided a wonderful holiday experience from start to finish. The house is amazing – very luxurious. We spent most of the time by the pool, in the pool house. It was a great base to explore the area – lots to see and do. We loved the night time tour of Châteaux Hautefort, we definitely recommend it. The pastries from the shop in the village were lovely – we ordered them every day! Simon and Nicholas were really helpful and provided help and advice when needed. The made our holiday really special.
We had a lovely time in this fantastic location. The villa is perfectly located. Our 3 favourite restaurants: 1, La Belle Etoile - La Roque de Gageac 2, Hotel Dieu 3, La Romana Thank you Jackie and Geoff. A lovely home with character and a real French charm.
The children really enjoyed the swimming pool. Pleasant house for its tranquility.
